Episode 1.11: Back to the future with Jamie Davenport

Jamie is back on the podcast to talk more about Project-Based Learning!  She left the field of Law to get into the field of education, and after a few years teaching English and social studies, she found out about CTE and has embraced it ever since! She was taught in a Law Academy at Crawford High in San Diego Unified, and eventually moved into a position supporting CTE in Grossmont USD. Hear more about her student project addressing suspension rates, and how Grossmont USD supports project-based learning across the district, giving students authentic real-world challenges builds their capacity to do real work, and the power of community impact and “making a dent in the universe”. Use project-based learning students will have an experience they will always remember.
