episode.
Oh my God, y'all.
Life has been life and it'sbeen winning.
Just a little bit, just, uh,just a little bit.

(01:05):
And uh, I was like, oh my God,oh my God.
I haven't been on here for acouple of weeks and you know I
said today I ain't finna comeback with nothing pre-planned,
pre anything.
I'm just going to come talk toy'all, have a heart to heart
with y'all.
And you know, because life hasbeen life and you know, the last

(01:31):
month started off as it startedoff crazy.
New Face got injured and youknow so he's been out of swim
since the last week of Januarywith a dislocated kneecap.
So he's been in rehab for thelast few weeks trying to get

(01:54):
that together and he still has along way to go and I will say
it's been mentally draining onhim because he can't do what he
loves to do and you know, as aparent, you hate seeing your

(02:14):
kids like that.
Oh wait, I forgot to tell you.
Make sure you grab your drinkor your snack, or whatever it is
, make sure you tuned in.
I forgot to tell you that.
So grab your drinks, grab yoursnacks, whatever.
Let's jump right back intowhere we were.
But it's really been life.

(02:36):
Y'all.
See, I got a new setup becausegetting ready to have some
finally, after the hurricane, getting ready to have some
renovations going on, but that'sneither here nor there.
But life has really been lifeand I want to talk about what do
you do when life starts to life.
Like you know, we know thatgiving up is not an option, but

(02:59):
how do we approach?
How do we approach?
How do we get through thisthing that we call turbulence or
rough times or storms orwhatever you have For me?
I feel like sometimes I startclosing in and I and I start

(03:22):
shutting out, and it's it'salways been a safety mechanism
of mine, it's always been asafety net of mine just to start
shutting, shutting the worldout, shutting people out,
because I need to focus.
And as each day goes on, Ialways have to remember you got

(03:43):
to get back to the basics, because you know you start here,
you start with a foundation, you start with a basic and you
start building and building andbuilding, and then you build,
but as you're building along theway, you're taking shortcuts,
and we take shortcuts starts toget unsteady, right.
So I feel like I've beenbuilding and building and

(04:04):
building and building andbuilding, and I finally got into
that unsteady part, which isnot a bad thing.
It just means you're going toofast, slow it down, bring it
back a little, and so I've hadto.
So you know, I gotta, I gottaremember I gotta slow down.
I always have this rule when Ifeel like I'm going too fast.

(04:25):
You got to get back to thebasics, right, and by basics I
have to go back to what I knowis tried and true Although
something may be faster andquicker, it may not have
longevity to it.
If that makes sense and I knowa lot of people out there life

(04:45):
is life and for them right now,and it's just, it's just a lot
going on and we have to do ourbest to remain at peace, I would
say make sure everything isgood and you know, just just
maintain.
You know, home, work, kids, family, because it all can get.

(05:13):
It all can become too much.
You know, got spring breakcoming up here shortly and you
know that'll be a good vacation,a good getaway.
We're going on a cruise, sothat'll be a good getaway.
But when it comes to dealingwith life, there's no right or

(05:36):
wrong way to deal with it.
Everybody's going to deal withit in their own way, in their
own regards, own way in theirown regards.
Me, I just take time, you know,to, like I said, just hone in on
the basics.
Like, I know I need to get backinto reading, I know I need to
get back in the gym because Ihave gained hella weight and but

(06:01):
the number one thing I'm notgoing to do, I'm not going to
beat myself up about it.
I'm not going to say, oh well,I'll let this happen.
And but the number one thingI'm not going to do, I'm not
going to beat myself up about it.
I'm not going to say, oh well,I let this happen.
And you know, I could haveprevented this or I could have
did this.
We all go through life, we allgo through lessons, we all go
through struggles.
And what's sitting there, moping about it going to do Like
what is being upset and cryingand moping and being depressed

(06:22):
about it?
What's it going to do?
Nothing Do I have my moments?
Absolutely.
But when I have my moments, Ihave learned not to stay in the
moment, Because the longer youstay in the moment, the harder
it is for you to get back in thegroup of things.

(06:44):
I used to go to the gym five, six days a week and now you
lucky if I go one I don't evengo to the gym anymore, like I
just do like little stuff athome.
So what I've started doing wasI went back to the basics in the
mornings before I go to work,to the basics In the mornings.
Before I go to work, I walk mydog for a minimum of 20 minutes.

(07:04):
My best friend is myaccountability partner, so we
started off with 20 minutes ofwalking each day.
Now it has progressed to 20minutes of walking, a minimum of

(07:24):
20 minutes.
You can either walk or you cando a workout.
I found an app and I starteddoing 10, 20 minute workouts on
there.
So after I walked a dog in themorning, I come back to the
house and I do a stretch or I doa meditation and then I get
ready for my day and I foundthat by doing that I've started
to have way more energy duringthe day and I'm like OK, tried

(07:48):
and true, tried and true.
This is what has always workedfor me and I should have never
swayed away from this.
And I was sitting there talkingtoday.
I was like I think I need tostart my acupuncture back,
because when I startedacupuncture I was probably the
most healthiest version ofmyself.

(08:11):
I was losing weight, I was goodto go clear mind, clear body,
clear soul.
Clear mind, clear body, clearsoul and I think I just need to
get back to that just as a bodyreset and just align.
And crazy story Probably a fewweeks ago I was telling Nick.

(08:37):
I said Nick.
I said I don't know what'sgoing on.
But I said, whatever it is, Igot to buckle up and hold on
tight because I feel like somethings are getting ready to get
uncomfortable.
I said I don't know what, inwhat aspect, I don't know in

(08:57):
what areas, but it's going toget uncomfortable.
And I said I don't like feelinglike this and some people would
say, well, you talked it up andyou brought that on yourself.
No, I just had that feeling.
It was like a warning sign likethis is coming.
You got to be ready and I thinkby having that warning, I was a

(09:21):
little bit ready, I was alittle bit prepared and now I'm
in that cycle.
I'm uncomfortable, I'muncomfortable as hell.
It's like being in the middleseat of a plane, like it is
uncomfortable and I don't knowwhen it's going to be over.
But I know that, theuncomfortableness.

(09:44):
You know growing pains whenyou're getting ready to elevate,
when you're getting ready togrow.
You got to go through the firea little bit.
It's going to be uncomfortableand you just got to hold on and
you just got to find your waythrough it.
You know, a storm is meant tohelp.
In my opinion, a storm is sentto help you not hurt you.

(10:04):
You know it's like it's like apop quiz, like there's no study
guide, you can't study for this, there is no open book to it or
nothing.
You just got to take the testand just answer the questions.
It may be one of those thingsyou get one wrong so you have to
answer one more question, butafter you miss that same

(10:24):
question for a certain amount oftimes, you're going to start
seeing questions similar to it.
Be like okay, I got this.
I remember this.
This is how I approach this.
You know I was talking to Nick.
I was like you know, I feellike there are some crappy
people in the world and crappypeople are always winning.

(10:47):
But then there is me, I heard, trying to do good, encourage and
, you know, be a positive person, and it's like I always get the
shit into the stick.
It's like I don't understandthat.
I don't understand why, likeyou know, some people might be
like and it's like I don'tunderstand that.
I don't understand why, likeyou know, some people might be

(11:08):
like well, it's your karma, likemy karma.
For what?
For like what I do.
But you know, they they say thethe good people always get the
worst of it, you know, and it'scool, you know, I'm happy, I'm
healthy, my kids are happy, mykids are healthy, you know.
So I guess, and I have a roofover my head, you know.
I have nothing to complainabout, so I won't complain.

(11:28):
I'm just going, my seatbelt ison, buckled up, holding on tight
, and just just riding, ridingthis wave, just riding this wave
.
That's all you can do.
I don't know, it isuncomfortable.

(11:53):
I know so many out there, y'all, I know, y'all can agree it's
uncomfortable, it's too tight,it hurts.
I don't like it hurts, I don'tlike it, I don't like it at all.
Just want to pack my bags andrun away, but I'm not gonna do
that, um, but I just, hmm, thisis, this is real life, and you,

(12:20):
you know, put up or shut up, youknow.
So some of the things that youknow I've been doing, like I
said, I've been focusing alittle bit more on self-care.
You know, I've been making sureI've been getting enough sleep,
I've been trying to increase mywater, you know, just little

(12:40):
small stuff, see, I got my waterright here, you know and just
trying to get my mind and mybody all the way together so
that you know once the okay, okay, okay.

(13:10):
So I guess I'll give y'all this.
This is going to be a shortepisode today.
I'm going to give y'all a.
You can't make this up.
So, like I told y'all, new Facedislocated his knee or whatever,
and so you know know, he went acouple days, he tell me, and he

(13:32):
was trying to run up the stairs.
So we end up going to theemergency room, we end up going
to the doctor or whatever.
So there's like, oh, he come innext week, we'll put his
kneecap back in place.
So the same day that he got hiskneecap it was valentine's day
he got his kneecap put back inon valentine's day and they put
a different brace on it.
This man thought he wassuperman.
This man went out there to thefair.

(13:53):
He was riding on rides, he waswalking around with his friends.
The next day you would havethought somebody would have
chopped that boy knee.
I was trying to chop his kneeoff at the uh, at the kneecap.
I was was like, oh my God, ohmy God, like it's hurting and
I'm like you got to sit down.

(14:13):
But even though he has physicaltherapy, he's allowed to go
back and swim one day a week.
But we're going to see how thisknee holds up for spring break,
you know, because you can'tshow pain when it comes to your
friends.
So we're going't see how thisknee hold up for spring break.

(14:34):
You know, we don't see if itmake him or if it break him.
You know I'm going to bechilling, big chilling on spring
break, just looking for thatrest and relaxation this week.
I do not have a song lyric ofthe week, I just wanted to um to

(14:57):
come just with a quick.
I ain't going nowhere.
I know it's been a couple weeks.
I ain't going nowhere.
I'm still here, life been lifina little bit and I know y'all
understand because I'm probablysure if life ain't lifing for
you, life is lifing for somebodyaround you.
So I just want to come on hereand thank y'all.
