If you've ever felt alone in your journey to success (whatever that means to you) or that you don't have the support you wish you could have as you pursue your dream, this episode is for you!
Today I was joined by the lovely and insightful Marion Weiler of Weiler International in a deep dive discussion about women in leadership and women as role models and mentors for other women in the workplace.
Marion shares her fascinating background of growing up in a very rural area in the mountains of Germany near Switzerland, where family roles were clearly defined and few women pursued personal careers aside from their beloved roles of homemaker and mother.
It was an idyllic childhood, but Marion felt a calling to do more and followed her dream to the States where she saw there were many women doing both, and that inspired her to pursue her dream.
On her journey, however, Marion soon found that not all women are happy to have a hard working, dedicated, conscientious, talented, and beautiful newcomer arrive on the scene. She shares how it was mostly male mentors and colleagues that guided her and encouraged her along her road to success, and how grateful she is for that support and mentorship.
Marion shares the insights she has learned on her incredible journey (see her bio below) and the mission driven work she is doing now to change that dynamic and improve workplace cultures and create a new 2.0 in Leadership with special focus on Women in Leadership roles.
