So what really happens when you throw yourself into a dream opportunity—even when that little voice in your head keeps whispering “You’re not good enough”? I found out firsthand at Coco Rocha Model Camp, and wow… it changed everything.

Before I even packed my bags, the imposter syndrome was LOUD. I fully convinced myself I’d be the worst model there, that my roommate would hate me, and that I’d somehow embarrass myself out of a career. (Spoiler: my roommate was an angel and I did not get kicked out.)

From the moment I arrived, everything shifted. During my portfolio review, Coco said something that stopped me in my tracks:
“If you want editorial work… how would anyone know from this portfolio?”
Oof. That hit. And it sparked a total reframe: your book should reflect where you’re going—not just where you’ve been.

What followed? Four days of intense posing, runway training, business coaching, and some of the most creative shoots I’ve ever done. I walked away with seven completely different looks (yes, including a mohawk moment) and a whole new direction for my career.

If you’ve ever questioned whether investing in yourself is worth it—this episode is for you.

Speaker 1 (00:00):

through my hair and the blowdryer is starting to be really
mysterious.
I really need this hair dryerso that I can be ready for my

(01:25):
So today is going to be a verydifferent episode, but a very
fun episode, and I know you aregoing to love it because I
brought you with me to CocoRoach Home Model Camp.
Yes, I did so.
Today's episode is going tofeel more like a come with me
journey.
I hope you love it.
Let me know what you think inthe comments and maybe we'll do

(01:46):
this more often.
A come with me on set or a comewith me wherever Just a heads
up.
The sound may be rough andthat's because I was recording
it straight onto my phone inreal time and so some of the
clips are a little rough, but Ithink you'll be able to get the
gist.
Oh, I have so much to share, but I'm going to wait, I'm going

(02:07):
to wait, I'm going to wait.
So let's jump right into it.
Here is my come with me to CocoRocha model camp.
So it's the night before CocoRocha camp.
I just finished packing.
It's like 1130 at night.
Well, I guess I'm not reallyfinished packing, but I'm close

(02:28):
to finish packing.
I spent the day just putting onall my outfits and taking
pictures, because that's one ofthe requirements they asked for.
They wanted to be able toeasily swipe through each
picture to know what outfitsthey want to put us in for our
shoot.
It was a long day of liketrying to figure out how to

(02:48):
style myself better, and this isdefinitely not something that
is my strong suit, but I think Ireally came up with several
really solid outfits and ideasand got everything washed and
ready to go for the trip.
So I will talk to you againtomorrow.
So I'm leaving for a CocoaRocha model camp today.

(03:11):
I woke up this morning reallyearly.
I finished my packing, Iprepped my food because, like I
said before, I have inflammationissues and so I just wanted to
make sure nothing like that willhappen while I'm there.
So I got everything prepared, got in the shower and did my
hair and usually my hair staysin for about four days, so I'm

(03:32):
hoping to not have to do itagain while I'm there, but I
have all my stuff in case I do.
It's about a four-hour drivedown to New York and then I'm
going to do my makeup when I getthere.
This is like my go-to move.
I like, 90% of the time, do mymakeup when I get there.
This is like my go-to move.
I like, 90% of the time, do mymakeup in the car, especially if
I'm going to have a long drive,because I don't want to get
shiny and I really like to touchmy face, which is probably not

(03:52):
a good thing.
So I got to pack up the car andthen we'll touch base when we
get there.
So I am in the car on my way toCoco Roche model camp and what
turned out to be a four hourdrive has turned into five and a
half.

(04:13):
So we are running on the cuspof being late.
Right now.
We're going to be a half hourearly still, but really praying
that we're not going to be anylater than that because I still
need to apply some makeup in thecar which I think I can
condense down into legitimatelyseven minutes.
That I just was thinking as Iwas driving here and I promise

(04:36):
I'm being safe right now that Iwanted to talk to you guys about
how the week coming up to CocoRocha model camp was for me.
I found myself slipping in tosome imposter syndrome this week
and had a hard time at thebeginning of the week really
prepping for the weekend to come, and that was kind of

(05:00):
frustrating to me, to becompletely honest, because you
know, I always think that wethink we're past, like these
different areas in our life, butas we like, grow and change and
morph, it just comes like at adifferent angle and a different
side, and there's probably nevera world where we're like 100%
and past imposter syndrome orany sort of like fear-based

(05:24):
thing like that, because as wegrow, the fears morph and shift
and change.
And so I just wanted to behonest with you guys and tell
you that I found myself at thebeginning of the week very
fearful that I wasn't going tobe good enough.
When I got to Coco Rochon modelcamp and, honestly, that my,
that like my roommate wasn'tgonna like me and I was making

(05:46):
up these like figmental, likecharacters and people in my head
that don't actually exist.
My roommate was gonna I wasgonna bother her the entire time
and that everybody else there Iwas gonna be the the worst
person there, so everybody wasgonna be looking at me and
judging me.
And then I got put into theKogorosha.

(06:08):
They have like a group chat andI started seeing like these
people comment and introducethemselves and I realized that I
have nothing to worry about andI realized that I was stuck in
like compare and despair, but onthis like figmental level where
I had like created thesecircumstances that weren't even

(06:29):
real, and I just wanted to sharethat with you because I don't
want you to fall into the sametrap that I fell into, where I'm
like stressed about somethingthat's upcoming when there is no
need to have that stress at all, and the more we practice
repetition with these things, the easier they become.
But I just wanted to share thatstress at all, and the more we
practice repetition with thesethings, the easier they become.
But I just wanted to share thatexperience with you and give

(06:50):
you an update on where I was atin the day and we will be there
very shortly, and the GPS saysthat we will be there in one
hour and 16 minutes.
One hour and 16 minutes and Iwill talk to you guys again
later and give you a recap onwhat's happened so far today.

(07:10):
I just finished day one of CocoRocha camp.
Already so valuable.
The information I just learnedtoday was well worth the entire
cost of it already, which isincredible.
I will be transparent.
There are things that I can'tsay.

(07:31):
We're not supposed to share anyinformation just, I think, for
the safety of their company, which is fantastic and I totally
get.
So I won't be able to give youlike all the deets, but I will
tell you if you can hear it inthe background my roommate
showering.
But I struck gold with myroommate.

(07:51):
She is fucking incredible.
She's so much fun.
She's like extroverted, whichis awesome for me because I'm
not always extroverted and I canfind myself very introverted,
and so it's.
She's just been so incredible.
Her name's knee yeah.
So, coco, I gave her two looksto pick from for this part of
the camp, because my additionalphoto shoot.

(08:15):
I have all the other looks for,but I let.
I gave her a choice between alike black tank with a wide leg
trouser and the second look waslike a leather jacket with just
a pair of boots underneath, veryum, like chic and cool gloves

(08:35):
on.
And she picked out the leatherlook, which was awesome and let
me tell you like the modalitybehind this.
So when I first showed up, Igot to show Coco my portfolio
and everything, and so the firstthing we get to do is meet Coco
, sit down, talk about the goals, talk about the plan and show

(08:59):
her portfolio and just kind ofget to know her, which which was
so incredibly valuable initself and some of the things
she told me at the table.
Looking at my portfolio, Ididn't quite grasp until we had
our portfolio do and don'tsession, which was so helpful
and really spandered beyond whatI imagined, and I think the one

(09:24):
thing I'll share from thesession that was the most
valuable for me was that youwant your book to reflect where
you're going and not whereyou're currently at.
So it's like you want to be.
The good business model is youwant to be one or two steps
ahead of where you're at now.
So if your book just reflectswhere you're at now, you're

(09:46):
behind the game.
Unless that's unless, unlessyour book reflects where you
want to be.
That's totally differentconversation.
But my conversation with Cocowas that I wanted to and, as
I've shared with you, I want todo these like high fashion,
story driven editorial, insanekind of looks.
And as she's flipping throughmy book, she's like well, I

(10:08):
don't get that from this book, which is really very accurate.
My book is very, very, verycommercial.
So she's like how would I know,as somebody who's trying to
book you, that that's whatyou're into and that's what
you're interested in doing?
And that is such a fuckingvalid point.
It blew my mind.
Blew my mind.

(10:30):
That's going to make a hugedifference for me.
And she also talked about I'mnot going to share the details
of this, but she talked abouthow to approach, like getting
test shoots and setting testshoots up, and how to find the
right photographers and all thatstuff which is so helpful.
So day one Coco Rocha camp forthe win.

(10:51):
Yeah, is there any otherhighlights from today I want to
share?
I'll share this with you too.
This is not really Coco Rochacamp themed, but I'll share it
with you because it was kind oflike a little breakthrough I had
today.
I'm a huge fan of Whitney Ulandand her podcast how to Be Famous
I think that's what it's calledhow to Be Famous.
She talks about this likeability for an artist to feel

(11:13):
safe being seen, and I started, you know.
So I've been trying to expandmy horizon with feeling safe
being seen and I was like, ohyeah, I'm totally safe being
seen, I'm totally safe being themodel on set, I'm totally safe
being the actor on set.
And then I realized the otherday that I have a hard time

(11:36):
feeling safe with clothing, likeI don't want to stand out in
public, I don't want anybody tolook at me in public, and I
realized this is another area ofmy life where I don't feel safe
being seen.
So this is something that I amcontinually working on, and the
thing that I had was abreakthrough was I bought this

(11:57):
fine cocktail dress Fine, like Ilooked fine in it and I was
afraid to wear it because Ididn't want to be too dressed up
compared to the other girls.
Like I wanted to kind of likefit in, and my modality going
into this whole camp is I'mgoing to make some bold fashion

(12:18):
choices and I'm here for it.
And so I put on that dress andgot ready in like a matter of 15
minutes and it felt so good tojust not care what people felt
about how I was dressed or notbe worried if people were
looking at me.
In fact, I got complimentedseveral times, which felt nice.
Right, it's nice to getcompliments.

(12:41):
I haven't always felt that way,but I'm sure we'll talk about
that later at some point.
But yeah, day one Kokoroshicamp for the win, tomorrow's
posing class and runway walkclass and something else.
But I will, we'll talk tomorrow, I'm sure at lunchtime at least

(13:01):
.
At the end of the day it's theend of day two and y'all, I am
just so wiped out.
It was such a long and wonderfuland amazing day of just
movement and learning how to dostuff, and it was just such a

(13:21):
wonderful experience.
But let's start with whathappened today.
So, um, the morning startedwith a pose class.
Pose class was so awesome.
It was so awesome.
It really if you've been an ogfollower here, you listen to the
episodes about the model campand how valuable I felt watching

(13:45):
the other model move was, because it really informed and
helped me know how to move, andit was the same here so valuable
to watch Coco move and also sovaluable to just learn a
different style of movement.
Not that the style of movementis going to work for everything,
but it's just like another, like chapter I have in my book

(14:09):
that I can go back to refer to,or another file on my filing
cabinet in my brain that I cango back and like, um, choose,
and so, yeah, it was just such awonderful time.
There's gonna be a lot of stuffon social media.
I'm sure I haven't been postingthe last couple of days because

(14:29):
they've been such long dayswith very minimal breaks, but it
was just so awesome and I justfeel like a whole different
artist and I have a before clipand then an after clip that
maybe I'll share, like what Ifelt like posing was when I got
there and then like what posingwas when I left.

(14:51):
So, um, that will beinteresting to see.
I haven't even looked at theseyet, so but yeah, we'll
experience them together.
But, um, yeah, that's how theday started.
And then, you know, we learnedthey went much more in depth on
like what is commercial versuseditorial, versus high fashion,
and, um, I'll just share a fewthings with you here.

(15:15):
Um, just in case you're curious, because I mean because I
didn't even really feel like Iknew to the extent and have
always felt like these lines areblurry, and so commercial
modeling is really for themasses.
It's like the target.
It's not meant to entertain,it's just meant to sell a
product.
This is like an actual way thatyou can make money that's

(15:39):
relatively profitable incommercial, but there's no theme
.
You're really just selling aproduct.
So it's this is like verysimple.
And then next is editorial, andeditorial is in a magazine.
Oh my God, why did I not knowthat?
Going into this editorial justmeans it's going to be in a

(16:00):
magazine and it has a story toit or a theme, but that doesn't
necessarily mean that it's apaid well, which is very
interesting.
It's really something that as,like I said, a story.
And then the next level is highfashion or haute couture.
That is like couture is one ofa kind.

(16:21):
You can only say a brand iscouture if it's out of Paris,
which I didn't know.
You hear all these brands callthemselves couture and they are
out of Los Angeles or New York.
You have to be out of France toactually be able to use that
word, which is very interesting, and so I think what I really

(16:43):
learned the most is making sureyou have like a mix of things
right, because if editorial iscool but it doesn't pay very
well, you want to have somecommercial stuff.
So you are getting paid andyeah.
And then we moved on to runwayclass, which, if I'm being
honest, going into this, I waslike I never want to do runway.
I'm five, four.
It's not going to be my thing, never has been my thing.

(17:05):
I'm not confident in my walk.
I just feel like I'm clunky.
I don't really know what I'mdoing.
I don't know if I would reallyenjoy the experience.
After taking this class, I waslike this is something I could
do.
I would just need to practicelike practice, but it would be

(17:26):
something that I actually wouldlike to do and I think would
enjoy and would have so much fun.
And it came really natural tome and I became kind of like a
little bit of a group leader inthis, because I think some other
girls were confused, but I washaving a wonderful time learning
learning what was gonna happenand learning how to walk in a

(17:48):
very specific way, and also likelearning how to make a walk
more feminine versus moremasculine.
I would never would havethought about those things and
like there's different ways youcan swing your arms and
different.
It's just.
It's such a unique experienceand also unique to each show,
which is very interesting to meand this is definitely something

(18:11):
that I think I would like topursue, but I definitely feel
like I need a lot more practicebefore I get there.
And then we ended-ish the daywith expectations versus
realities and this was just likean opportunity for us to ask
any of our questions that wewanted to ask Coco.

(18:35):
And a thing that I found wasmost interesting is there's so
many different types of modeling.
There's fitness modeling, whereit's about like sportswear, and
there's like fit modeling, which is actually when you work
with a designer and the clothesare actually like fit on your
body, but this isn't like in thepublic eye, which is very cool.

(18:59):
But it's also a full-time orsemi-full-time position, which
is awesome.
There's parts modeling whereit's just your hands, your feet,
the back of your head, yourlips.
There's lifestyle, there'sswimsuit, there's bridal,
there's catalog.
There's just so many differentopportunities and directions you

(19:19):
can go with this, which made mereally feel like I am looking
at this so in such a small way, when really it could be looking
at this in such a broad way.
There's so many more areas thanI would have ever ever dreamed.
This was just such a amazingopportunity and we also got the

(19:42):
chance to like set a boundarieslist, like create a list that is
like this is going past myvalues and past my morals and of
things that you don't want todo, and so, in particular, for
me, that would be like I don'twant to do a nude shoot.
I don't necessarily want to dosomething super provocative,

(20:07):
don't necessarily want to dosomething super provocative.
I personally, I'm like verymuch a pacifist.
I don't like watching violence,I don't like seeing violence.
I don't like I wouldn't want tobe involved in violence, and so
I don't know that I wouldnecessarily want to be holding a
gun in a shoot or doing anysort of thing like that.
So that was all very, very, very interesting.
Yeah, it was such a fun dayy'all.

(20:30):
We ended the day with dinnerand just so you have like a
heads up of what's tomorrow.
Tomorrow is my first shoot andthen tuesday I'll have another,
but tomorrow is my first shoot, and we picked like this leather
jacket with the leather glovesand like leather boots look with
nothing underneath super sexy, but, but not crazy y'all.

(20:54):
I'm not being crazy out there, but I'm very excited and
tomorrow's going to be such afun day and I will keep you
updated on how it went.
And they said that we shouldhave photos back in two weeks,
which is amazing and crisscross.
That's actually two weeks,though, because I hear that a
lot.
It's not actually two weeks, hmm, all right, well, I'll talk

(21:18):
to you guys tomorrow night.
Okay, so it's the end of daytwo of Coco Russia camp.
Y'all today was such a fun day.
So we're split into two groupstoday, while group one was doing
their photo shoot, group twowas having a contracts and
agencies meeting and then wewould flip flopop right, and so

(21:39):
I ended up being group two, so Ihad my meeting first in the
morning, with all theinformation I guess not meeting
class and then in the afternoonI did my photo shoot my first
one, but we'll get to that in asecond.
So the first meeting sorry, Ikeep calling it meeting the

(21:59):
first class that we took thismorning was about branding and
social media and agencies andcontracts and honestly, it was
so informative and it was sojust super helpful.
And just some quick littletidbits was.

(22:21):
We talked about branding andhow people are branding you all
the time without you evennoticing.
You know, when you meet astranger on the street, they're
making assumptions about you asa person.
So why not use that branding asa positive thing for yourself,
positive way to market yourself, which was so incredibly helpful

(22:43):
.
And we talked about socialmedia and and how you can really
use social media to our benefit.
Then we moved on to agencies andthey have a 10 step process to
essentially decide if an agentis right for you.
And that process was so helpfulbecause, instead of just

(23:04):
telling you this is a goodagency and this is a good agency
and this is a good agency, theyreally broke it down for us so
that we could do it forourselves and continue doing it
for ourselves.
This is something that we'regoing to do forever.
So it just was so incrediblyawesome.
And then we touched reallyquickly on contracts and I won't
go much into depth on this, butit was because it was very

(23:26):
quick, um, so that was just upuntil lunch, and then we went
and, um, did our first photoshoot, and for this we get
photos.
We get one that's like more ofa closeup beauty shot and one
that was like a stylized lookthat we got to pick for
ourselves.
I gave Coco two options ofoutfits for me to pick and then

(23:50):
she picked between the two and, based on what I'm looking for,
which is a more editorial look,we picked, um, looking for which
is a more editorial look, wepicked, um, this like leather
jacket, this leather trench, um,which was so incredibly
exciting.
It was just so great.

(24:10):
Y'all, I, I sat down in thehair chair first and then we did
like this high pony with aleather jacket, which was just
so like sexy and I don't know, chic, and then I moved over into
the makeup chair and they justdid my face and I just looked so

(24:37):
freaking gorgeous.
And so Coco like kind of helpsyou through half of your photo
shoot.
I started off with Coco and shejust really gave me the
confidence to get started andthe photographers were just so
incredible with you know, givingyou tips on what you can do to

(24:58):
help change it up and help poseyou, and and then, once we
finished with the shooting withthe leather jacket, we went into
the second look and that wasjust like I said, a beauty shot,
so just to the face.
But we went back into restyleto touch up like makeup and hair
and they ended up doing like awet hair look.
So cute, it was incredible.

(25:21):
I was seeing some other girlswith wet hair looks and I was
praying they were going to do awet hair look, because that is a
look that I just love.
I think it looks just so chicand just sexy and I don't know,
I don't know.
It was just amazing.
And we did the wet hair lookand I worked it, girl, I worked

(25:43):
it and the photographer, janie, was just so amazing to work with
.
She just makes you feel so likeyou're on fire.
Yeah, it was just so great.
I I still have another photoshoot tomorrow and I still have
an opportunity to get morephotos, and I already felt like

(26:03):
fulfilled from just that firstphoto shoot on the first day,
which was so I don't know just.
I have like teared up today somany times, y'all, because this
is such a dream come true.
This was on my vision board forthe beginning of the year and I
cannot believe I made thishappen.

(26:24):
I made this happen and then theday ended today with coco just
giving us a pep talk.
We got to ask her questionsabout her life and all of these
different things, and just theday just ended with advice on
how to move forward.
And it was just such awonderful day.

(26:44):
And I gotta wrap this up becauseI'm about to go out.
We're gonna, we're gonna go outon the town some of the models,
um and just blow off some steamand have some fun, and then I
have my photo and then I have myother photo shoot bright and
early tomorrow.
So I will touch base with youtomorrow and I'm going to put

(27:05):
together this nice fit fortonight.
It was just an incredible day, incredible day.
We'll talk to you tomorrow, guys, guys, guys, guys, guys.

(27:25):
Okay, so I just finished my lastday of Coco Rocha model camp.
I just did my six other outfitsand, honestly, I don't know how
I'm going to do this podcastbecause I'm just like speechless
, speechless.
Okay, but before we talk aboutthe amazing day I just had, I
just want to tell you guys aboutlast night, because something

(27:45):
totally funny happened to me.
So I got, so we went out on thetown.
It was wonderful.
We were actually it was aMonday night so nobody else was
out.
It was literally just like agroup of I think maybe 10 or 15
of us models and we were all, um, we just went out to this bar
and because we were like theonly people there, the bartender

(28:07):
was playing music that was likeliterally just for us.
She was playing like girls justwanna have fun and just like
these silly, cheesy, awesomesongs and then some really cool
songs.
Actually, too, I had my shoot ateight in the morning and I had
to have my entire room packed upand all that stuff, um, before

(28:28):
I went into my shoot.
So I left probably around 10o'clock, I think and went back
to the hotel because my hair wasliterally still full of gel
from the wet hair look and, honestly, I styled like this
sweet ass fit to go out in.
It was like these long trenchpants and like a model tank top

(28:55):
with a blazer jacket, but Ididn't put my arms in the blazer
, I just like put it around myshoulders.
A Michael Kors purse that wasshiny.
And then I put on theseplatform shoes, and my trench
pants are a little bit long andI thought they needed to be
hemmed, but with these platformshoes it was just like makes me

(29:15):
look like really tall and reallylong.
So, um, we went out and it wasso awesome.
I left around 10 and then so Iget back to the hotel room I
still need to like wash my hairand blow dry my hair and get it
all set for the next day and soI get back to the room and I'm
like feeling this fit.
And so I started takingpictures.
Because I just learned allthese new model pose techniques

(29:38):
and all this stuff.
I was like why not take a fewpictures in this outfit?
Maybe I'll wear it tomorrow formy shoot?
And so I took some pictures andy'all, I took some pictures
that were incredible.
I can already tell how far I'vecome.
Seriously, in one one day Itake the photos.
They're awesome.

(29:58):
I'm like so proud of myself.
So I go, I'm going to get in theshower.
It's like 11 o'clock, I wash myhair and I have to wash it like
twice because it's got so muchgel on it.
And then I get out of theshower and I get dressed and I
go to um, start blow drying myhair.
And I get about startblow-drying my hair and I get

(30:19):
about halfway through my hairand the blow-dryer is starting
to be really mysterious, and bythat I mean like the off button
doesn't work on it.
It's usually, like you know, one of those sliding like I
don't know buttons and all of asudden now it won't turn off.
And I'm like, okay, this is sus, but I'm just going to like,

(30:40):
I'm just going to keep going.
I'm just going to keep tryingto like get this to work.
But I was like halfway throughblow drying my hair and so I was
like I really need thishairdryer to work.
I have a shoot tomorrow, and soI keep going, I keep going, and
then all of a sudden it justdies on me and so I throw on my
sweatshirt and a pair of pantsand I'm like going to go down

(31:02):
the lobby.
But it's like 1130 at thispoint, almost 1145.
I'm going to go down to thefront desk and see if they have
another hair dryer, because Ireally need this hair dryer so
that I can be ready for my shoottomorrow.
So that I can be ready for myshoot tomorrow.
And so I literally put my handon the doorknob to leave the
room, to go down to get thehairdryer from the front desk,

(31:26):
and the hairdryer just magicallyturns on because I never
unplugged it.
So I was like, okay, I'll takethe sweatshirt back off and I'll
just keep using it.
Maybe this is like universalmagic and it'll just keep
working long enough for me tofinish my hair.
I literally get through onemore strip of my hair and then
it just dies on me again.
And I was like, oh, fuck this.

(31:46):
So I put the sweatshirt back onand I run downstairs and the
front desk is like, well, wedon't have any, but and I was so
nice to the front desk too, because they really needed this
and they were like we don't haveany, but we, these people,
aren't probably going to checkin today.
He's like holding key cards.

(32:07):
And so he's like I'll go grabyou a hairdryer from from one of
these rooms.
And I was like, oh, thank youso much, thank you so much.
And I get this hairdryer and itis like a brand new hair dryer
and I didn't even realize, untilI got the new one, how old and
outdated this other one was thatI was using.

(32:27):
This hair dryer had to havebeen like 20 years old.
And so by the time I get back tothe room, my roommate's finally
back, because she stayed out alittle bit longer than I did,
and then we just like talkedabout the day and how awesome it
was, and I blow dried my hairwhile she, you know, showered,

(32:48):
and so I finished blow drying myhair and I think I went to bed
at like one o'clock in themorning.
But I knew I was like ready togo in the morning.
I literally just had to get upand like wash my face and then
take my stuff down to the studioand so, yeah, so that's the

(33:09):
story from the night before.
But as far as today goes, oh myGod, guys, oh my God, oh my God
, guys, oh my God, oh my God, ohmy God.
Okay, so I was the first onedown there, because you know
that's how I roll Gotta be early.
I just can't help it.
It's who I am and so, because Iwas down there first, I got to

(33:31):
like take the first look at whatwas on the rack for stuff to
use.
And there was this very coolblack jacket and I don't even
really know how to describe it,but it's like this structured
jacket that was like this isgoing to sound like it's going

(33:56):
to paint such a picture thatmakes no sense.
But it was essentially like asquare blanket that you put your
arms through, but it likefolded down and had this really
beautiful fold to it.
So I did use like this jacketwith just like a black tank
underneath and black shorts, andthat's what we started our

(34:17):
first look in.
And because I wanted moreeditorial looks I had explained
that to the hair stylist andalso the makeup artist and
because we wanted to get sixreally different looks out of
this process, we started offvery simple, with like minimal
product and stuff like that, sothat we could keep building upon

(34:40):
everything, and so we did thatfirst jacket and then we moved
on to that outfit that I hadwore out the night before you
remember that outfit I wastelling you about, because hair
and makeup were like let's gowith the more simple looks first
and then let's do the crazylooks last.
So that was like that longtrench with the blazer Sorry,

(35:01):
long like wide, like trenchpants I don't know if I'm being
clear with the blazer and I justlike swung it over my shoulder
and then halfway through, likemy shoot, with this jacket, the
photographer.
The photographer's like let'sturn, let's have you put this
jacket on backwards, and it wasincredible, y'all.

(35:25):
It looked incredible,incredible, like I can't I can't
wait to get these photos backbecause I just oh, oh, my God,
it was just incredible.
And so we finished shootingwith that look.
And then we moved on to thismonochromatic gold turtleneck

(35:52):
ruffled shirt with the exactsame color gold skirt that was
like kind of a silky gold anddid this very like high class.
I don't know I'm having such ahard time describing it because

(36:13):
the vibe that I was going forwas just like I I'm going to
steal your man and I don't knowit was.
It was just so cool and I'm soglad I invested in having a
stylist help me style all thesethings.

(36:33):
Shout out to Riley at Wave andWoven oh my God, I could not
have done this without her.
And so we did this look, and westarted on the floor with some
poses and then worked our way upto standing, which was so
awesome, and the hairstylist hadput my hair up and kind of like

(36:55):
these pin curly bun, which wasso cool.
And then we moved on to thislong flowing dress that was like
, had a lot of movement, andwhen I first looked at this
dress I was like I don't know ifthis is a dress that I really
like, and then I put it on andsaw how it moved with the camera

(37:18):
.
This dress, when I like wouldthrow the corner up in the air,
literally looked like a fan.
It was so beautiful.
And so we ended up doing likethis, these beautiful big
movement fan photos with thisdress.
I put on the platforms just tomake me look a little bit taller

(37:40):
, have this illusion of sometallness, and I ended up doing
like some closer up shots whereI fanned the dress behind my
face and my head, which came outsuper cool and awesome.
Oh, and we did like this halfup hairstyle with some frills,
with like some pieces left outaround my face that they were

(38:02):
using like literally like ablower, like a leaf blower, to
like blow these hairs around myface, which looked super awesome
, and then we shifted intooutfit number five, which was a
white tank with an oversizeddenim jacket, some denim shorts

(38:26):
and, um, some white doc martensand this was more of like my
cool girl look.
We did some really fun stuffwith this outfit as well, and we
took my hair completely down.
She used the blower again, which got some really beautiful
movement, did some sitting poses, some closeups, just really

(38:52):
played and had so much fun.
And then moved into like thegrand finale of my last outfit
and I had told the makeup allright and I had told the
hairstylist that I really wantedto do some sort of like faux
hawk or mohawk or something forthe last look.
And I don't know why this Idon't know why.

(39:15):
I literally don't know why Ijust part of me is like a little
obsessed with mohawks on womenand like a slicked back version
or a structured version, and shedid the coolest structured
mohawk.
I can't wait for you guys tosee pictures, because this hair
was just outrageous and it wasmy last look, so we really

(39:37):
wanted to like push it and wedid a really bold eye too on
this as well.
Um, just a amazing smoky eye, from my, from my makeup artist,
and I'll tag all of my mystylist, my makeup, my hair
people, my, my photographers, all of that stuff.

(39:59):
I'll tag in the show notes too,so you have access to to go see
these people and follow them ifyou'd like.
Yeah, and my last outfit wasthis tulle skirt with a slit,
almost like a bandeau bra typething, but it did have straps.
There was so much movement inthis tulle skirt and we ended up
using it in so many ways.
We ended up using it like a fan, with the like I had talked

(40:21):
about with the dress before, where we're like fanning it back
and forth, and then we alsoended up like wrapping one of
the layers of tool around myshoulders and playing with that,
and then also with me, likeholding the tool up out to the
side and then like some coolfans over my head, and we just

(40:42):
we just played with this garmentand really, really made it our
own thing.
And I should have photos in thenext seven to ten days, which
feels like it's coming so soon, but I just I can't wait to see.
From what I saw on set, I wasjust blown away.

(41:09):
Honestly, the investment that Imade into this camp was
significant.
I won't lie, it was significant.
But I got everything out ofthis camp that I wanted, like
everything, everything.
My book is going to look sofantastic.

camp with me and following mealong this journey, and I just

are going to make in my book.

this is expensive, I don't knowif I should do it, I don't know
if it's going to be worth it.
I love it when you can come outon the other side and be like,
