Leroy from Let’s Roll Press joins Inver and Art to discuss Chapelwick, a cosmic horror campaign setting steeped in gothic dread, modular madness, and soulslike challenge. They explore parasite-bound paladins, tendril-ridden druids, and the Madness Deck that turns 5E horror into a full sensory experience. Plus, a look at future projects and the alchemy of music, art, and tabletop design behind this Kickstarter phenomenon.
Josh and Art take some time to highlight upcoming crowdfund indie titles. They start with talking about Absurdia, a modern take on paranormal TTRPGs.

Critical Role shocked fans by choosing 5E for Campaign 4. What does this mean for Daggerheart’s future?
Critical Role stunned fans by announcing Campaign 4 will be played in Dungeons & Dragons 5E instead of their own system, Daggerheart. Inverlyst is joined by attorney and podcaster Noah Downs (@MyLawyerFriend) and TTRPG streamer Captain Robear (@CaptainRobear) to break down the decision. Was this a cautious business move, a ma...
Critical Role isn't using Daggerheart for Campaign 4! There are a lot of good business reasons for that, but there's still an element of poor planning there that's hard to overlook.
WotC's new Unearthed Arcana is an air raid siren telling us that they're planning a Dark Sun release, likely in 2026. This is a huge change from perceived sentiments a couple of years ago that the setting was "too problematic" to get a 5E conversion. Di...
In this week’s Goblins & Growlers Podcast, Inverlyst welcomes Alex of Alpha Comics & Games to pull back the curtain on writing romance into your tabletop games. Together, they tackle the messy realities of GMing smoochable NPCs, avoiding bleed, and why player-to-player romance can derail a campaign faster than a crit fail.
From sexy smiths to sahuagin brothels, Alex shares her hard-earned lessons on slow burns, narrative fl...
Critical Role's Daggerheart is shaking up the TTRPG licensing world and we've got legal insight you won't find in your average rules breakdown. Inverlyst is joined by returning guest Noah Downs (a.k.a. @MyLawyerFriend) to unpack the Community Gaming License (CGL), its potential legal pitfalls, and whether it's truly the heir (or foil) to the OGL. We dig into fan content protections, revocability risks, VTT carve-outs, and what crea...
“What do you get when you mix a thousand-legged centipede, a skeleton butler, and an emotionally resilient owlbear cub? A Paul Hughes interview, of course.”
In this special episode of GGP, Inver and Josh are joined by Pets & Sidekicks co-creator Paul Hughes, longtime EN World writer and TTRPG monster crafter. Together, they delve into:
✦ The design philosophy behind scalable companions in Advanced 5E

DrivethruRPG removed 9th Level Games' "Rebel Scum" game because it's loud about proud about not being a game that supports bigotry, fascism, anti-vax, and generally things that are good to dislike. It turned into kind of a weasel-wordy exchange over standards of the publishing platform and was, generally, frustrating to read about and talk about. Beware of ranting in this video.

It started with a story about Mage Hand Press' Gunslinger class being available basically ala carte on D&D Beyond.
That turned into supercharged debate about whether guns fit or belong in the classic fantasy setting typically associated with D&D. Inver did her best to moderate. The debate starts somewhere around the 30-minute mark.

This one might be a little inside baseball. Brandon, Art, and Josh vended at Animazement over Memorial Day weekend and it was our first time at that con. Apparently, it's the largest anime convention in North Carolina. We're also pretty sure it was our first time just working a con as vendors -- no special guest privileges or anything. It was fun, and it gave us a little more insight on hobby economics in the current climate.

Josh tapped out this week, so it's up to Brandon and Inver after what feels like forever since the last recording. Inver's fresh (and tired) from PAX East in Boston and Brandon just finished putting together some prototypes for a new game accessory idea we're trying out.

You know how some podcasts don't dedicate the whole episode to one topic and instead have a genuine discussion without knowing where it's going? We tried that today and went in a lot of directions, including Hasbro's (and thusly Wizards of the Coast's) Q4 and total year earnings, Final Fantasy games, and so much more!

For more than 30 years The River Cafe in London, has been the home-from-home of artists, architects, designers, actors, collectors, writers, activists, and politicians. Michael Caine, Glenn Close, JJ Abrams, Steve McQueen, Victoria and David Beckham, and Lily Allen, are just some of the people who love to call The River Cafe home. On River Cafe Table 4, Rogers sits down with her customers—who have become friends—to talk about food memories. Table 4 explores how food impacts every aspect of our lives. “Foods is politics, food is cultural, food is how you express love, food is about your heritage, it defines who you and who you want to be,” says Rogers. Each week, Rogers invites her guest to reminisce about family suppers and first dates, what they cook, how they eat when performing, the restaurants they choose, and what food they seek when they need comfort. And to punctuate each episode of Table 4, guests such as Ralph Fiennes, Emily Blunt, and Alfonso Cuarón, read their favourite recipe from one of the best-selling River Cafe cookbooks. Table 4 itself, is situated near The River Cafe’s open kitchen, close to the bright pink wood-fired oven and next to the glossy yellow pass, where Ruthie oversees the restaurant. You are invited to take a seat at this intimate table and join the conversation.
