Walking the Fairways segment of The Golfing Greenkeeper Podcast is proudly brought to you by Dint Golf Solutions Make sure to check out their website www.dint.com.au

This episode runs through the award winning superstars of turf from the 2025 ASTMA Turf Conference that was recently held in Sydney. I also go through the hosts courses for the tournaments that have been announced for the first half of the PGA Tour of Australasia beginning in PNG in August 2025.

There's lots of news as always coming from all corners of the country including Superintendent Lance Knox from Busselton Golf Club dropping by to give us an update of just what they've been up to in the south west of Australia improving their golf course.

And I can officially announce that from this point on Walking the Fairways will include New Zealand as I endeavor to find reports of courses and clubs that are working on their properties to improve them for player to enjoy, beginning on this episode with some info coming out of Muriwai Golf Links and Paraparaumu Beach Golf Club.

Thanks to everyone who continues to support and listen to the podcast, and I look forward to continuing to provide you with great content!

Cardiac Cowboys

Cardiac Cowboys

The heart was always off-limits to surgeons. Cutting into it spelled instant death for the patient. That is, until a ragtag group of doctors scattered across the Midwest and Texas decided to throw out the rule book. Working in makeshift laboratories and home garages, using medical devices made from scavenged machine parts and beer tubes, these men and women invented the field of open heart surgery. Odds are, someone you know is alive because of them. So why has history left them behind? Presented by Chris Pine, CARDIAC COWBOYS tells the gripping true story behind the birth of heart surgery, and the young, Greatest Generation doctors who made it happen. For years, they competed and feuded, racing to be the first, the best, and the most prolific. Some appeared on the cover of Time Magazine, operated on kings and advised presidents. Others ended up disgraced, penniless, and convicted of felonies. Together, they ignited a revolution in medicine, and changed the world.
