Trigger Warning: This episode contains details surrounding suicide intent and mental health.
In this episode of The Good Chat with Anita Anabel, Anita sits down with SAS Australia recruit, Jessica Peris.
Jessica is a force to be reckoned with. She's an advocate for at-risk indigenous youth, a mother to 12-year-old Isaac, an athlete and daughter of Olympian Nova Peris.
While she is many things to many people, Jessica's own story has been rocky and unforgiving. From public breakups to a drug test that served her a four-year-ban from Athletics to a suicide attempt that ultimately changed her life.
Jessica was so open and honest, and the chat allowed her to share her story in a way a newspaper or TV screen could never achieve. It was simply astounding.
Catch Jessica on season 2 of SAS Australia on 7 and 7Plus and follow her on Instagram here.
