Hilary Crowley, host of "The Good Energy Healing Show," delves into Don Miguel Ruiz’s “The Four Agreements,” a book she’s studying with her "Good Energy Healing Club." Crowley highlights that "agreements" represent the countless beliefs and opinions that shape our reality, often "domesticating" us. Finally, "Don't Make Assumptions" encourages curiosity. Crowley explains that we make assumptions to feel safe, even if the answers are incorrect. She advocates for assuming others are doing their best, a practice that fosters respect.
Crowley shares a personal example of worrying about baby loons, realizing she was overlaying false agreements onto their lives. She challenges listeners to find their own beautiful, personal "agreement" to add to Ruiz’s four, thereby shedding unserving beliefs. She concludes by promoting her TEDx Talk, "The Unexpected Education of a Foster Mom," urging listeners to adopt a "foster mindset" of nourishing and supporting themselves and others.
