Good Morning, Dear Listeners!
Happy Friday, Everybody! Okay. I know that it’s not Friday. It’s Saturday. But I didn’t get this episode done in time to post it yesterday. My bad. I explain why in the episode.
But rather than dwell on the negative, let’s focus on the positive and celebrate that, despite this episode being posted on a Saturday, this is the first Phone A Friend Friday episode of 2022! Yay!
And our first Friend of 2022 is my old friend Asaf Ronen! Asaf has been an improviser, an improv teacher, and an improv director for more than 30 years! And he teaches improv workshops all over the world! We were once roommates in Austin, Texas. And we ran The Institution Theater together for a while.
And Asaf’s Quote For The Day is from another old friend, the great Martin de Maat!
Asaf has written a book called “Directing Improv: Show The Way By Getting Out Of The Way.” You can check out Asaf’s book by clicking HERE.
And you can read Asaf’s many essays on improv by going to his website www.YesAnd.com.
The Good Morning! I Love You! Show with Tom Booker is a daily morning show where I share kind words, happy thoughts, and little suggestions designed to make you feel good about yourself, feel good about your world, and set you on a path to have a great day!

CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist
It’s 1996 in rural North Carolina, and an oddball crew makes history when they pull off America’s third largest cash heist. But it’s all downhill from there. Join host Johnny Knoxville as he unspools a wild and woolly tale about a group of regular ‘ol folks who risked it all for a chance at a better life. CrimeLess: Hillbilly Heist answers the question: what would you do with 17.3 million dollars? The answer includes diamond rings, mansions, velvet Elvis paintings, plus a run for the border, murder-for-hire-plots, and FBI busts.
