Ryan Abramowitz was in Copenhagen when he learnt that his father had died from suicide.
It was an event that would change his life, and leave deep scars with him and his family.

He discovered through the grieving process that there weren't many options when it came to books to help people understand, and work through the grief of losing a parent or loved one after suicide, and with around 3500 people per year taking their own life, there seemed to be a real need.

During the cold winter nights of the pandemic lockdowns, Ryan began creating a picture book which, through the power of the combined words and pictures, and characters represented as animals, would help young people understand and work through the unimaginably tough time in their life.

After MANY iterations, and consultations with experts, Ryan finally finished his book, which he launched in conjunction with world suicide prevention day .
He also decided from the start that 18% of all profits will be given to charity, to help conquer the most terminal of mental health issues.

Ryan is an incredibly intelligent and articulate individual, who let me into his inner sanctum, sharing a very personal story, which has a really powerful message.

Thank you Ryan!
