At just 12 years of age, Tommy Quick survived a stroke, and had to learn to walk again and talk again, and try to live a normal life with his new disability, and it was damn hard.

But as it turns out, Tommy Quick is an unstoppable force, completing high school, achieving a degree in Nutrition, and even hiking the Kokoda Track.

But a conversation with a mate at a coffee shop planted the seed for an epic adventure, one which would eventually be called The 4 Points Australia - a 9000+km ride to the 4 most extreme points of the Australian mainland on Tommy's recumbent trike.
Tommy wanted to raise awareness for Stroke, especially young stroke, and be an advocate for inclusion

On the 22nd of October 2023, Tommy rode into Footscray Rowing club with 30 odd riders in tow, and to the applause of a huge crowd of spectators,  completing the journey after almost 10,000kms and hundreds of days of riding.

It's an epic adventure, of which he spent a few thousand kms riding with David Jones,  a local musician, volunteer, and former teacher who had originally volunteered to help tutor Tommy through his degree, years before.

They encountered all sorts of hurdles along the way, overcoming mechanical issues, injury, and even road rage, but Tommy unwavering pursuit of his goal, and David's support gave them the endurance to finish on a high, completing the ride, and raising well over $100,000 for the Stroke foundation.

Tommy and David join Andy in the studio, and tell the story of how 1 young stroke survivor defied the odds, both physically and mentally, to achieve something that no one has ever done before.

You're a legend Tommy!
