Speaker 4 (02:18):
I am so ready for you.
Speaker 3 (02:20):
Okay, So I'm gonna give you a little bit of
an intro if we're gonna just jump right in, all right,
You guys are a group of adventures. You guys have
been adventuring for a short time together, but long enough
to kind of be familiar with each other. And you
have been reached out too by a elderly farmer who
is having troubles with his farm and he, uh, he
(02:44):
needs your assistance. He's he's already asked for multiple other people.
He's kind of reached out in mass and you guys
have responded and are headed towards his farm. The hills
of Golden Wheat hold fields of corn in seas of grain,
and patches of plump pumpkins, located along a prominent trail
(03:04):
in the southern Gray Hawk. Uh. These fertile farms regularly
supply the region with bountiful, bountiful harvests. At least one farm, however,
has been struggling recently. And as you guys uh crest
the hill into golden wheat, a pathetic site sees you.
Pathetic siteme yes Randy when he wants. A barren stretch
(03:29):
of wilted gray stalks, collapsed gords, and cracked earth stale.
A stale breeze sweeps over the farms. It's very eerie,
very dead feeling. As you walk over the hills and
into the farm land, everything kind of carries the stench
of decay. Near the road, as you guys continue walking,
(03:50):
a sad looking pumpkin headed scarecrow slumps in it in
the field, on its stand, its head rotted and hanging. Low.
Swarming flies ahead. A wooden sign swings from a crooked post.
It reads Rillard Family Farm, Rillard, Rillard family Farm.
Speaker 5 (04:09):
It's a scarecrow.
Speaker 3 (04:10):
It's a scarecrow.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Scarecrow, scarecrow.
Speaker 3 (04:15):
Further up the road, a small further up the road,
a small farmhouse sits among the barren fields. Do you
guys approach Yes, absolutely, absolutely, Okay, all right, just to
let you guys know, I I want to introduce our characters. Yeah,
go ahead, as we as we approach the farmhouse, go
(04:38):
ahead and introduce your characters, and tell me who's in front,
Who's what's the marching order? So Tabby going to go
ahead first? Sure?
Speaker 1 (04:45):
Actually, do you think I would do?
Speaker 3 (04:47):
I think I would do. I think I'd go first.
Speaker 2 (04:50):
No, No, I do not, I think right, John Rambo,
so what what are you?
Speaker 5 (05:00):
I am a fighter and a human mm hmm.
Speaker 3 (05:03):
Yeah, so we have Mike is John Rambo, human fighter.
We are all level two. As we enter uh Sierra,
go ahead and intro you.
Speaker 6 (05:13):
I am a nog the Dwarf. I am a short fighter.
Speaker 3 (05:19):
Cleric, cleric. I'm a cleric, yeah, cleric.
Speaker 1 (05:23):
And then we've been bringing up the rear.
Speaker 2 (05:28):
I gotta you know, I gotta keep eyes out there.
I am a yes looking at butts. My name is
Rhea Ripley yep, and I am a rogue and elf
elf rogue, elf rogue.
Speaker 3 (05:42):
All right, now we are a little bit basics, so
we are learning. We are we are very very early
game level two. We are learning the basics of D
and D five e yes, because they are familiar with
a different system, so we are learning all right, back
to it. As you approach the farmhouse, you see, the
(06:06):
relied farmhouse is a humble two story home, wooden and
build with a wrap around porch. An elderly halfling wearing
a straw hat sits in a rocking chair holding some papers,
and he's staring out at the blighted fields. The chair
creaks back and forth, and as you approach, it creaks
(06:29):
even more as the halfling rises, slowly scratching his bushy
sideburns and nods addressing you all, well met, what y'all
doing out here?
Speaker 4 (06:42):
I will approach him and offer a shake of the hand.
Speaker 3 (06:47):
Okay, he goes and shakes yours. He seems like a
very nice older gentleman.
Speaker 4 (06:52):
Yes, I will say, I will introduce myself. Okay, I'll
have my name.
Speaker 3 (06:56):
Okay, well mate, will you look like adventures of sorts?
Is he not? Like? Nods and points at your your weaponry.
You guys look like a band of capable folk. Are
you the ones responding to my plea for help? Yes,
we are here for you. That's all I can ask.
Allow me to tell you, guys, what's been going on
(07:19):
the last couple of weeks. My name is Realard Senior,
but you can call me ol reel rail. I hate
I hate two a minute. But my farm and my
family are in a heap of trouble, and I'm very
grateful that you guys were able to come up and
(07:43):
help us out. Now, we've got a few things going on.
If you can see, everything's kind of dilapidated at the moment.
This is a new blight as you can see, this
blight that's taking over my farm. If we don't get
this farm back and working order, there's a very good
chance a lot of families around here don't go with
(08:03):
go go without bread this winter like we we we
uh fun most of the food around here.
Speaker 5 (08:11):
Can I ask real quick? What are my weapons on your.
Speaker 3 (08:15):
Paper in the middle? You should have a list. This
is like long sword, javelin, uh, flail? You have a
lot of weapons. Okay, yes, so you have your your pick.
Speaker 5 (08:27):
Rambo does not have.
Speaker 3 (08:27):
Gunso does not have guns.
Speaker 4 (08:30):
You do have a crossbow though, I'll take it.
Speaker 5 (08:34):
So m rape here rape yere? Is that what you said? Okay,
that's one word.
Speaker 3 (08:44):
It's like a fencing sword.
Speaker 4 (08:45):
Oh well, you should have said needle.
Speaker 5 (08:49):
You have needle from thrones sick.
Speaker 3 (08:53):
Sorry, you're good, You're good. So as you look at
old real you can tell that he's an older gum
him in up in his years, even bore in halfling,
which has an extended life. He definitely looks aged at
this point, and he is an elderly He's a very
elderly farmer, old farmer man. And he he starts to
(09:16):
tell you that within the last couple of weeks his
crops have just started to die and decay. And a
couple of weeks ago he even hired a passing through
a magician to try and stop whatever this this blight
might have been, and to no avail, it's just continued
to spread. In addition to that, you know, my h
(09:42):
and the biggest thing, and if you could help with
one thing, and one thing only, my granddaughter has gone missing.
In the last two days. I've not seen her and
I'm not sure where she's gone to. She's a firecracker
of a kid, so it wouldn't put it past her
to have tried to go and fixed this herself or
trying to find the cause. But she hasn't come back,
(10:04):
and I don't know where she's at.
Speaker 5 (10:05):
Can you describe her to us?
Speaker 3 (10:07):
You know what? I can do you one better?
Speaker 4 (10:09):
And he in his hand, and what is her name?
Speaker 3 (10:13):
My granddaughter's name is really June, really really June.
Speaker 5 (10:17):
And and he.
Speaker 3 (10:21):
Does you one better than describing her. He actually hands
you a piece of paper and this is a reward
poster for a missing person for really June as his granddaughter.
She's nineteen.
Speaker 5 (10:37):
She's beautiful. She's beautiful, she.
Speaker 3 (10:40):
Looks she looks just like her mother.
Speaker 5 (10:42):
She has beautiful.
Speaker 1 (10:46):
I bet their red curly locks.
Speaker 4 (10:48):
He just like I noticed she's wearing armor. Is she
uh skilled in some sort of She.
Speaker 3 (10:55):
Might have stolen my old my old gear.
Speaker 5 (10:57):
So she wears it just as a tribute she wants?
Speaker 3 (11:02):
Does she does? She does like she's my kid.
Speaker 5 (11:07):
She's my girl, only grandchild, only grandchild. Okay, so this
is important, only grandchild. We will do our best.
Speaker 3 (11:18):
It seems like every time something gets, you know, goes bad,
one more thing happens my uh my, my cows in
my farm along with my granddaughter going miss. And every
other day I'll lock my barn up, and still even
with it locked up, a cow goes missing every other day.
Before long, I'm not gonna have any cows left and
(11:41):
the top and all he gets. He's getting kind of
agitated now if you can tell he's he's kind of
talking with his hands. But on top of that, these
darn whipper snappers and stealing my scarecrows.
Speaker 5 (11:53):
I understand the whipper snappers. Yeah, stealing the scarecrows.
Speaker 3 (11:57):
They're stealing your scarecrows. Guards.
Speaker 5 (12:00):
Well, they used to protect crops.
Speaker 3 (12:01):
Well yeah, no, I understand it.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
Without them, crops cannot be protected and not.
Speaker 3 (12:06):
Protected from anything, the blight, the crows, everything's just going
hell in a handbasket. Yeah, regardless.
Speaker 5 (12:14):
How old is your granddaughter? She's nineteen nineteen, Okay, so
she's a she's almost a young she's a young woman.
Speaker 3 (12:21):
Yes, in a in a half, we sense she's still
a child.
Speaker 5 (12:25):
What's her behavior like?
Speaker 3 (12:26):
She and he chuckles, My granddaughter. She's a she's a
whipper snapper, she's a firecracker. She's got her mama's attitude
and her dad's cockiness.
Speaker 2 (12:37):
Mississippi, she's been missing for two days, two days.
Speaker 3 (12:43):
I haven't seen her since too, yesterday's morning.
Speaker 1 (12:47):
So where was the last place that you remember.
Speaker 3 (12:49):
Seeing I think I sent her her chores in the
morning are usually to check on the cows. So that's
the last time I would have known where she was.
She's seen her in the but I hadn't seen her
after that.
Speaker 1 (13:01):
And you said that the cows were being released every morning.
Speaker 3 (13:04):
Not see the way my cows function has got At
at the end of the night, we put them all
up in the barn and I got got a lock
on the doors. Ain't nobody getting.
Speaker 5 (13:15):
What was her demeanor like the last time you spoke
to her? Was she fine?
Speaker 4 (13:19):
Rain?
Speaker 5 (13:20):
She was good? Okay?
Speaker 4 (13:21):
So there was no nothing, nothing, nothing up to?
Speaker 5 (13:24):
She was cool? Yeah, okay.
Speaker 4 (13:26):
How how is she like on a normal basis? Does
she ever like?
Speaker 3 (13:31):
Like I said, nothing up to? She's a she's a
stand up, stand up girl, lots of sunshine. She's she's
a great girl.
Speaker 5 (13:39):
Okay, uh whipper stampers, well behaved.
Speaker 3 (13:42):
Well, well behaved, good, hard worker. She's a hard worker.
She she she does well on the farm.
Speaker 5 (13:49):
Okay.
Speaker 1 (13:50):
And you said this has been going on for about.
Speaker 3 (13:53):
This blight started a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 1 (13:56):
Was there anything different.
Speaker 3 (14:00):
You mm hmm, not that I know, not that I've noticed,
except for I think this place is cursed. I think
it's cursed and and a long time ago there was there.
We had some adventures come through here, long time ago,
(14:21):
and they killed this vampire. This is a long time ago.
Mind you we get vampire, we get we get adventures
come through here, you know, every so often, but they don't.
They just usually passed through stop by. But these this group,
I remember they. I was just a youngest. This is
a long time ago. Uh, but they they they what
(14:45):
was his name, gun Thar gun Thar to Gluttonus was
the name of this vampire that we had around here.
Speaker 1 (15:00):
Brutality.
Speaker 5 (15:01):
He's always on.
Speaker 3 (15:01):
Top, and he got these these adventures they came through
and they saved us from him. They he they I
remember as a kid these adventures coming back proclaiming they
killed him. But I think somewhere along the way he
cursed us and this is just his revenge everything.
Speaker 5 (15:22):
Oh he cursed you, not cursed at you.
Speaker 3 (15:24):
That's what I think. Yeah, I think personally that I
think he's cursed his land, even even in death.
Speaker 5 (15:30):
He's he's just what happened while he was here.
Speaker 1 (15:33):
It was on the land.
Speaker 3 (15:34):
I was so young, Yeah, I was so young. I
don't remember so much, but everything was you know, he
killed livestock and people, and and but when those adventures
came through, everything stopped, everything got better.
Speaker 1 (15:50):
Where specifically on the land I couldn't tell you.
Speaker 3 (15:53):
I don't even know where where they killed him at.
Speaker 5 (15:55):
You're supposed to be Australian, you're what criminal? Crikey, criiker.
Speaker 1 (16:03):
I'm trying to stay down a little bit.
Speaker 4 (16:07):
Uh what.
Speaker 2 (16:11):
So can you give us any more information that might help?
Speaker 3 (16:14):
That's that's all I really know, man. But I and
this is I'm true to my word. I am willing
with it, with whatever information you bring back. And if
you were able to stop anything or find my granddaughter,
two hundred gold as all I got left, and I'm
more than willing to part with it if you guys
can help me in any way.
Speaker 5 (16:34):
Oh.
Speaker 3 (16:34):
Also, if you guys are gonna go down, you're gonna
go like looking for things I got. I have something
for you. And he starts patt in his pockets. Old,
well understand, he starts pat in his pockets.
Speaker 5 (16:46):
Do you have any caramels? Well, there's a race actually,
perhaps a peppermint. I forgot to brush my teeth today,
he said this.
Speaker 3 (16:57):
This was my grandpappy's. But if you guys are going
up against anything that you know, if you guys find anything,
I want you guys to be safe. And I see
you guys are already well kitted, but this might help
a little bit. This is a poison soaked cookery. It's
a type of dagger. It's a type of dagger that
(17:17):
once a day you can imbue magically with poison.
Speaker 5 (17:22):
Is this for either of us to use or is
this specifically.
Speaker 3 (17:25):
For one of you? Guys will have to use it.
Speaker 5 (17:27):
Okay, I just want to read it.
Speaker 3 (17:28):
You pass it around and get a view of it.
I will say it. Don't like it. You have to
you have to like trigger the poison on it. So currently,
right now.
Speaker 4 (17:44):
We do that to avoid not injuring ourself with it.
I'm asking for the.
Speaker 5 (17:51):
For the Sunday school director, for the.
Speaker 3 (17:52):
Sunday School director. And he looks at the he looks
at the dwarf over there.
Speaker 5 (18:00):
Father's kid, Harry child this with us.
Speaker 3 (18:05):
Yeah, I think she's a good boy.
Speaker 5 (18:06):
Gimli wants to know.
Speaker 3 (18:08):
Gimli wants to know. Hey, my name is.
Speaker 5 (18:10):
Nog Oh my god.
Speaker 4 (18:16):
It's like I'm Eric, welcome to Lord of the Rings.
Speaker 5 (18:22):
I'm I do have a question.
Speaker 3 (18:25):
Yes, go ahead, Can I do a wisdom check?
Speaker 6 (18:28):
What kind of wisdom to see if I know anything
about the vampire?
Speaker 3 (18:33):
Go ahead and do a history check history check. Yeah,
all right, that's a D twenty correct. Well, yeah, roll
a D twenty and add your history modifier.
Speaker 5 (18:42):
Hey, Gimiley, did you want to see this noggin? Good cheese?
She wanted to look at it.
Speaker 3 (18:49):
What's your roles here? That would be a one?
Speaker 5 (18:54):
She SATs herself here, you.
Speaker 3 (18:55):
Are, I'm so excited about hearing about a vampire because
you did know they existed, so you're very excited about this.
Now for prosper for for speed speeding his sake, I'm
going to give you guys some options. You have four
things to go look for. The four directions that you
(19:17):
have the options of going towards you can study that.
You can go and kind of look closer at the
blighted crops, see if you can find any any source
within the fields. You can kind of focus more on
the missing person. You can look, you know, in the house.
He's given you access to his entire farm, so you
(19:38):
can look in the house, the barn, the fields wherever
you want to try to look for her.
Speaker 5 (19:43):
And I searched the barn for clues.
Speaker 3 (19:45):
You can, you can't.
Speaker 4 (19:49):
We'll head there not now, I mean.
Speaker 3 (19:52):
Yeah, when when you when we hit the barn, yes
you can. You have the livestock issue, which is at
the barn, and then bottom of the list stolen scarecrows
if you want to deal with the whipper snappers. So
those are your four options. Crops, missing person, which you
could have access to the house or the barn of like, yeah, highest, okay,
(20:16):
so missing person, blighted crops, cows, scarecrows. Actually, you know
what I'm gonna switch that. We're gonna missing person cows.
Speaker 5 (20:28):
Crops, missing person cows crops.
Speaker 3 (20:31):
Yes, so those are those I want to But at
the same time though, so the missing persons wouldn't would uh?
If you guys want to hit two things at the
same time, He mentioned that his granddaughter's chores early morning
are the cow barn.
Speaker 5 (20:50):
I'm all that's what I wanted.
Speaker 4 (20:52):
I want to search the barn like I want to inside.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Okay, all right, so if you guys want to, the
barn and is behind the house off to the left
a little bit. So you guys are gonna go around
the house and when you approach the barn, it's open.
It's the middle of the day, so it's open, and
the cows are kind of roaming about.
Speaker 5 (21:14):
What are we talking like right now?
Speaker 3 (21:16):
Yeah, it's about noon, eleven o'clock noon, Yeah, the middle
of them. So as you approach the barn, are you
gonna go do? Are you gonna do it? Look around
the barn on the outside, you're just gonna go straight there.
Speaker 5 (21:28):
I'm gonna go.
Speaker 4 (21:29):
Is the barn does it have levels to it, like
how most barns like up top there's a loft you
can if you also there's sections off on the ground floor. Yeah,
so if you, uh, I want to do the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (21:42):
Okay, So if you're entering the barn, if you're entering
the barn, because there's a big, you know, sliding barn
door on the front and it's kind of a shotgun.
You'll see like shotgun all the way through. But on
the immediately as you enter, there's two like offshoot rooms.
To the left there's a bunch of stacks of hay
bales of pay to the left. To the right there's
(22:03):
like a tack room. There's a lot of tools and
things that you would have to use for like hoofs
and stuff and like clean up tools, barn tools or
in this section, and then there's stairs that.
Speaker 4 (22:14):
Go up to the loft, and it's like, Okay, I'm
gonna go.
Speaker 5 (22:16):
I want to go to where the tools are, go
to the tools. That's where I want to go.
Speaker 3 (22:21):
In the past. That past that are like side areas
where the cows would reside at the end of the night.
Speaker 4 (22:27):
Okay, outside you're gonna do.
Speaker 3 (22:29):
You're gonna do a perimeter check check.
Speaker 5 (22:31):
What about what about you nogging?
Speaker 3 (22:34):
I think I'm gonna head upstairs, head upstairs.
Speaker 4 (22:36):
Yeah, so you got loft, I got okay, I'll do
the whole the whole ground level. You do all of upstairs,
and then you've got the perimeter on the outside.
Speaker 1 (22:45):
There's no hidden cots.
Speaker 5 (22:48):
Oh yeah, obviously check.
Speaker 3 (22:49):
What I'm gonna need from all of you guys is
to roll a investigation check.
Speaker 4 (22:54):
I was just about to add that dice D twenty.
Speaker 3 (22:58):
All of these checks are going to be a D twenty.
The only time you should be using something else is
when you're rolling damage on your attacks.
Speaker 4 (23:05):
I rolled, I rolled in eighteen eighteen.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
I rolled a ten. Okay ten, I rolled a nine nine, Okay,
that we're gonna do it. This is this is a
collective This is a collective search. This is a collective
search because you guys are separating and then coming together
to like kind of talk about what you guys are finding.
So Tabby, as you walk around the outskirts of the barn,
(23:29):
you're looking for anything kind of like broken or out
of the ordinary, anything that might like I'm.
Speaker 1 (23:35):
Also looking just make sure that nothing has been dropped.
Speaker 3 (23:37):
Nothing has been dropped.
Speaker 7 (23:39):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (23:39):
You are looking around and you trips back to the
back of the barn. You find the back of the
barn has another door that you know slides open. This
one is locked still, this one is still still locked.
Speaker 4 (23:49):
Usually, uh, barns still have a back door.
Speaker 5 (23:52):
And yeah, so you can go straight straight through this.
Speaker 3 (23:55):
The back door on this is currently still locked because
it's you know, it's morning and he still hasn't opened
all the way. Yes, ma'am a criminal. Mm hm, you
do you have these tools if you want to unlock
this lock, you can certainly try. So we'll go ahead
and roll a D twenty.
Speaker 5 (24:11):
I wish I could dust for prints.
Speaker 3 (24:14):
And you would add your side of hand.
Speaker 5 (24:17):
Are you a magician?
Speaker 3 (24:18):
Twelve total. Yes, okay, it's it's a relatively simple lock.
There's not many people out here, so yeah, you go ahead.
It takes you a couple tries. You might pop a
pick lock a lock pick once, but you end up
you end up getting it open. Yeah, and nothing is
unusual about this lock. It seems like a fairly you know,
simple sturdy lock. The door. Nothing weird about the lock.
(24:40):
Nothing's weird about it. The door opens fine, if you
want to go ahead and open it, close it. It
functions like a normal barn door. Nothing, nothing upsetting. And
we're gonna kind of go to Mike. No, we're gonna
go to sea As. Here's upstairs, right, Yes, I am upstairs.
Here's up stairs. We're gonna go upstairs. Upstairs is a
(25:01):
menagerie of like storage. You see a lot of old
like boxes and you're digging through like wedding dresses and
stuff like that. Things, uh saddles and barn tools. It's
kind of a monagua. He kind of looks like a
little bit of a hoarder as you're digging through stuff.
Speaker 1 (25:22):
Rid of it.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Yeah, there's a lot of stuff that looks like it
might have been.
Speaker 4 (25:26):
Make sure you look through it all because you might
find something important.
Speaker 1 (25:30):
I rolled a ten.
Speaker 3 (25:32):
You rolled a ten, yes, ma'am. You. You go head
through and you find as you're digging through things you
do find like fifteen copper pieces sitting sitting through boxes
and stuff like that. But all in all, it looks
fairly average for like a like storage upstairs. Mike, However,
as you're roaming through the bottom of the barn, okay,
(25:55):
and you're kind of digging through the tools and stopping
around on the ground looking for what what Tabby had
instructed you to define, I do.
Speaker 5 (26:02):
Want to make note that I do put the tools
back where I found them.
Speaker 3 (26:05):
Okay, very very polite, very nice, very specful.
Speaker 4 (26:08):
They're not my tools, so if I handle them, they
need to go back where the owner of the tools put.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Yeah. You spend your time walking through, like where the
with the cows would rest at the end of the night,
and it looks like it's been cleaned. Yeah, it looks
like it's been clean. He might have farm hands that
work for him. So you you kind of go through
and as you round back around where.
Speaker 4 (26:29):
The hay is, well, you said he might have farmhands,
does he or does he not? Because if he does,
I want to ask them a couple of questions about maybe.
Speaker 3 (26:37):
You have not talked to him about farmhands yet.
Speaker 5 (26:38):
Okay, so you you you don't know, but it's.
Speaker 3 (26:41):
Fairly clean, and you can assume that maybe an old
man wouldn't be doing this by himself.
Speaker 5 (26:46):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (26:47):
So as you round back around, okay, you kind of
do a big circle and you come back to where
these large bales of hay are.
Speaker 5 (26:57):
Okay.
Speaker 3 (26:58):
So in between as you kind of start up and
around the hay and kind of like looking behind it
and kind of trying to move some of the bales,
you see that one of the bales has kind of
like fallen inward. And as you dig the hay away,
you find a hole in the floor. It looks like
(27:18):
it's been dug. And if you want to call back
your crew, you could look closer at this hole. But
there is a hole in the floor that it is good.
Speaker 5 (27:31):
A normal sized person fit through this with ease.
Speaker 3 (27:34):
Yes, you could fit a cow through this hole.
Speaker 5 (27:38):
So it's a pretty big hole.
Speaker 3 (27:39):
It's a pretty big hole.
Speaker 5 (27:42):
Yeah, I will call my team to come.
Speaker 3 (27:45):
Oh some mole. Can I ask a question? You can
ask any question you want.
Speaker 6 (27:50):
You said I found some copper in upstairs. Can I
put that in my.
Speaker 1 (27:55):
Pocket for you?
Speaker 3 (27:55):
Go ahead, put in rocket if you if you feel
like you're gonna steal from this old man. No, I'm
I'm not put in my pocket to steal it. I
want to return it to hey.
Speaker 5 (28:03):
Yeah, it's okay holding on to it.
Speaker 4 (28:05):
So go ahead.
Speaker 5 (28:06):
It's important and you don't want to lose it.
Speaker 3 (28:07):
Yes, go ahead and take the copper. You have fifteen coppy.
You can make note of that. So you bring everybody downstairs,
I assume and inside.
Speaker 4 (28:18):
At this look at this hole, and do you enter
the hole?
Speaker 6 (28:23):
Now this?
Speaker 3 (28:24):
Do I have a lie like stick my head?
Speaker 5 (28:26):
Why? Anyone an?
Speaker 2 (28:27):
So?
Speaker 3 (28:28):
This is this is important and it's a good question. Yes,
you do have a light I have at two of
you have If you look in your equipment, which is
in the bottom middle of square. Uh, you should either
have torches or a lantern. You should have floated lantern.
Speaker 5 (28:44):
I have twenty boles.
Speaker 4 (28:47):
Bolts.
Speaker 5 (28:47):
Is that I have lightning?
Speaker 3 (28:48):
No bolts? Is crossbow arrows?
Speaker 5 (28:50):
Their bolts the crossbow bolts. Oh okay, oh yeahous.
Speaker 3 (28:54):
So in the very bottom square you should either have
a lantern or torches. I have a lamp. You have
a lamp, you have hooded tor You have a hooded lamp.
Now you have torches, okay, so you can light one
of those up. I will say, Tabby, you have dark vision.
I also have dark vision. You do not have dark vision,
(29:14):
do you? Yes? I do have friends don't have dark vision.
I'm a dwarf. Not you're a dwarf, Sorr. I thought
you were halfling. So Mike is the only one here
that does not have dark vision. So that is something
you guys are going to have to think of.
Speaker 5 (29:27):
So can you like stick your head in there and
look and see?
Speaker 3 (29:30):
I was wanting to do that. So the way dark
vision functions is that up to sixty feet you can
see in darkness as if it was bright light. Past that,
everything's dim light. It's kind of gray scale.
Speaker 4 (29:43):
Are there is are there steps or is there a
ladder to get into the It is a jump.
Speaker 3 (29:48):
In is a doug hole and it kind of goes
down at an angle.
Speaker 5 (29:51):
How far down are we talking? That's what we need
to know. First.
Speaker 3 (29:54):
I have dark vision for up to one hundred and
twenty feet, yes, but after sixty feet it's dim light.
Speaker 5 (29:59):
Okay, but you have it for up to one hundred
and twenty to start.
Speaker 3 (30:03):
So, like the way it looks is like if you,
like in this room that we're currently sitting, if it
was pitch black, you could see as if it was fine.
Speaker 5 (30:13):
She could, Yeah.
Speaker 3 (30:14):
But like paste past sixty feet. Past sixty feet, it
would be very dim light and it kind of looked
like it was like not as illuminated.
Speaker 4 (30:24):
Is it sixty for they're the exact same.
Speaker 5 (30:27):
Oh, so it's one twenty total.
Speaker 4 (30:28):
Okay, I thought you were saying that Noggin had Sorry,
nog had one twenty and she had six.
Speaker 3 (30:35):
No, they both have six. Oh dark vision. But like
the way the dark vision functions is that you can
see up to sixty feet as if it was just
sunlight outside, okay, and then after that sixty feet it
gets darker.
Speaker 5 (30:46):
So you can't, like one if you stick your head
in there.
Speaker 3 (30:49):
Yeah, yeah I can. I'll stick the hole as you look,
it's it kind of goes at an angle and plateaus
into more of a tunnel.
Speaker 6 (31:00):
I'll I'll take the the leap and I'll start walking
down the hole.
Speaker 4 (31:06):
I just wanted one of them to stick their head
to see what it looks like down there, Okay, we'll
see her if you want to, because if there's like
traps or some sort of danger, a fall off or yeah,
to get the hole. The diameter of the hole, yeah,
it is, it is what is beyond that tunnel ish?
Speaker 3 (31:24):
Yeah, it kind of yeah, it kind of plates into
a little tunnel. It's not a flat drop. It kind
of angles and then.
Speaker 5 (31:30):
Like, yeah, check a boat ramp. Okay, okay, I walk
up hit hit him on the back.
Speaker 3 (31:36):
You're okay, no, roll a perception check for me, and
you got twenty twenty perception all right. As you kind
of kind of peek through the tunnel into the into
the hole, you kind of could you enter at all
(31:56):
or you just kind of like peeking your head and
I start walking in a little bit. Okay, so you
enter the whole little bit and you can kind of
see that it plateaus to a flat area and then
it kind of turns to the right. It kind of
veers to the right, and it does. It's really dark
down there, unfortunately, Rambo would not be able to see
(32:17):
obviously without a light. And on the walls and kind
of like near the corners of the tunnel there are
these black kind of what weaving vines that kind of
go and travel up the walls and into the room.
(32:37):
That uh that, I don't know. That is weird.
Speaker 5 (32:43):
It looks like it fell out of your skull.
Speaker 3 (32:44):
That was weird. It did not like that.
Speaker 5 (32:46):
So if you're watching this on YouTube, yeah again, don't
do that.
Speaker 3 (32:50):
Don't do that.
Speaker 5 (32:51):
It's kind of gross.
Speaker 4 (32:52):
Yes, up, it looks gross on camera.
Speaker 5 (32:57):
And they tell me I have a.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
You're good, o good, so good.
Speaker 1 (33:07):
Talking talking person person. How deep does this tunnel go?
Speaker 3 (33:12):
It's about no.
Speaker 2 (33:14):
Literally, like I'm putting myself in this character's position, and
if I have to go underground, you know, I'm gonna
freak the fuck out right now.
Speaker 3 (33:19):
Yep, there is a pretty high ceiling. When you get
in there, it's oh, we have a map.
Speaker 1 (33:26):
There's a ceiling.
Speaker 3 (33:26):
Oh god, I didn't know we had a map. We
have math. I'm so excited.
Speaker 1 (33:31):
Okay, I'm ready.
Speaker 3 (33:32):
Okay. So the tunnel, as you grow see, is about
fifteen feet before it turns to the right, and after
that you obviously can't see anything, but there are vines
that kind of weave itself up the sides and the walls,
and I'm so sorry that I've picked the one thing
that fucks with tabby? Okay, right, that's okay. We've just
(33:58):
remember you're not actually there.
Speaker 2 (34:02):
That's what the movie that, yeah, is that I put
myself in that perspective.
Speaker 3 (34:08):
Well, we're not gonna do that.
Speaker 1 (34:09):
Let's go.
Speaker 5 (34:10):
Okay, it's okay. I have intimidation. I can save you.
Speaker 3 (34:13):
You can see, all right? So who wants are we?
Are we entering? Are we going forward? We're gonna Are
we gonna go into the.
Speaker 5 (34:20):
I'm gonna go in last. Since both of you have
night vision goggles built into your face.
Speaker 3 (34:24):
Are you gonna light a torch?
Speaker 5 (34:25):
Yeah? Obviously, No, yes, Do you.
Speaker 2 (34:30):
Want to go the first sixty feet and then I'll
go the next sixty feet and we trade off.
Speaker 3 (34:35):
Okay, the sixty feet is a very long long way,
and you see this hallway is only fifteen feet long.
Speaker 5 (34:41):
I'm gonna walk with so next to one of.
Speaker 3 (34:44):
You, I think I think bringing a torch would probably
be the best bet. Lights up, all right, So a
torch gets lit up. That torch will last you an hour,
which is very long time.
Speaker 5 (34:54):
I have ten of them.
Speaker 3 (34:55):
Yep. All right, So as you enter this room, I'm
assum that the order is kind of noog uh, what
was your name?
Speaker 7 (35:04):
Rhea?
Speaker 3 (35:05):
And then rambo. Right, that's that's the marching order. As
you round the corner, I have things yep. Round the
corner to the right.
Speaker 6 (35:17):
That is.
Speaker 3 (35:20):
The floor of this spacious chamber, very spacious. You can
tell is kind of a lot lower because this this
tunnel that took you down, took you down quite a ways,
took you down quite a ways, and then kind of plateaued.
(35:40):
So you can tell that as you kind of round
the corner, this is a lot lower than maybe some
of the other parts because you look up into the
room and there are a few higher areas that look
like there's platforms that so this this room is then
they look to be ten feet up each. The ceilings
about twenty.
Speaker 5 (35:58):
Feet okay, at the start or currently.
Speaker 3 (36:01):
When you look up into the room as it opens
up into a room, the ceiling is about twenty.
Speaker 4 (36:05):
Feet tall and its pretty high up, pretty pretty high up.
Speaker 3 (36:07):
And about twenty feet or about ten feet is there's
a platforms. Platforms in three areas like one to your uh,
one to your direct.
Speaker 4 (36:21):
Left, can see the map, yeah, you can one to the.
Speaker 3 (36:23):
Direct left, one kind of straight, and then one to
the right. Now you guys are entering through this area
down here, and you can hand that to the mic
and show the camera. What you notice is you walk
walk in is a horrid stench that rises from the floor,
(36:44):
and you look around and there are decaying cow carcasses
and bovine bones that kind of seem to be twitching
under a network of slowly constricting other worldly black roots.
And as you like the yeah, guys, I don't trust
this place.
Speaker 1 (37:02):
You should have.
Speaker 5 (37:04):
Yeah, it's right here.
Speaker 3 (37:12):
You dreaming, So as you as you gave it to ye,
don't be peaking that, don't be peacon all right, So
(37:33):
you guys, I have entered this area here, right through here, okay,
and you guys are right at this entrance to the
to the chamber. Now, would you guys look like to
look around, would you guys like to look for or
inspect anything specific? Here's a stench and lots of bones,
(37:55):
like half eaten carcasses. You said there's platforms. Yeah, so
they look like holes in the wall. Okay, but they're
about ten feet up. Yeah, and the dark well, the
ones with dark vision can kind of see. Yeah, they're
kind of overlooks. Yeah, they look into this room, this
(38:17):
room is a lot deeper. I know I am very short,
but I would like to go investigate the walls. Yes, okay,
go ahead and roll an investigation check form. Does anybody
else want to look for something specific?
Speaker 2 (38:28):
I was going to go perception on all of them
to see if something was.
Speaker 5 (38:34):
The walls, the bones. I want to look overlooks.
Speaker 3 (38:38):
You want to look at the overlooks with dog.
Speaker 4 (38:40):
Dog is also looking at I want to look at
the cowbones to see if maybe they were there's some
evidence of like an attack where they were killed, or
if they just died of natural causes or what.
Speaker 3 (38:50):
Okay, go ahead and roll investigation checks. Investigation checks yep,
d twenties and had your investigation. Now tab you in
Sierra Sierra. Since you guys are looking at the same thing,
you can roll the one of you can help the other.
This is an action that you guys can cool. I
will that's noted plus plus your investigationigation. Yeah under wisdom,
(39:14):
So uh, one of you can roll your investigations minus one.
It's okay. So the help action would give whoever is
doing the majority of the looking advantage on their role.
So say, if Tabby has a much higher investigation than you,
do now, I would say you could help her in
(39:37):
in in her search and she would get advantage on
the roll.
Speaker 1 (39:41):
Uh, my investigation is plus four.
Speaker 3 (39:43):
Well, my investigation is plus nothing. Okay, So Sierra, would
you like to help tab absolutely? Tabby, As you roll
for your investigation, you roll twice, take the highest, okay.
Speaker 1 (39:54):
Not including what my investigation is.
Speaker 3 (39:57):
You will you will add you will add it after
you pick which sticee. So roll to ice, take whichever's highest,
and then add your investigation twenty perfect okay, So Tabby,
Mike not not No, Rhea and Rambo. As you guys
are looking around the room, Tabby, you can kind of
(40:19):
being one of the taller of the three of you guys,
you can kind of look and see that these outlooks
kind of go forward. They look and as you kind
of stand back and look farther, they look more like tunnels.
They kind of continue in directions leading off of this room,
and the vines leave lead more in those directions, like
(40:42):
they're coming maybe coming from those directions.
Speaker 7 (40:44):
Okay. Uh.
Speaker 1 (40:48):
Different more different than the other there is not.
Speaker 3 (40:51):
They look they look very similar, like they've been dug,
like something has taken time to dig these tunnels out
like like something has like dug these these out about
ten feet wide circular kind of tunnels. Mike, as you're
(41:13):
going through the bones and kind of digging through, you
rolled at twelve, right.
Speaker 4 (41:17):
Yeah, my wisdom is minus one, so you rolled an eleven,
So yeah, I don't know.
Speaker 3 (41:26):
That's okay. You were looking and trying to see, uh,
the cows, the cows and see if they were kind
of died naturally or what you can find is that
these bones are scattered, and even if they had died naturally,
(41:47):
something has kind of torn these apart. So you can't
really tell the cause of death, but you can tell
that whatever has dealt with them after their passing has
not been kind to their remains or claw marks or
chips or he unfortunately at this point does not he
(42:08):
he his character kind of has just noted more of
how things are spread out and things definitely don't look
natural here. Now, as you guys are looking throughout the
room and you're kind of digging through the bones and
be like this is over here, but that should be
over there, you do find a little leather bag, a
(42:30):
little leather bag, and it was just around the carcasses
of these cows. And this little leather bag has the
stitches initialed on there are J that's her initial And
if you open the bag, would you like to open
the bag? Yes, if you open the bag, inside of
it is a loaf of bread that looks a little stale,
(42:54):
three apples, five gold coins, and some sort of potion bottle.
Speaker 8 (42:59):
The condition of apples, The apples seem like they're you know,
apples keep really well, so they don't look fresh fresh
right off the tree.
Speaker 3 (43:09):
But they definitely don't look rotten.
Speaker 5 (43:12):
They're edible.
Speaker 3 (43:12):
They're edible. They are edible, and the bread is edible too.
It's just a little stale. Okay, yeah, Yeah, there's some
sort of potion in there. You're unsure of what kind
of potion at this point?
Speaker 5 (43:23):
Who could I give it to?
Speaker 1 (43:25):
You want to make one of us drink it?
Speaker 5 (43:27):
Well? Uh, look at it and see, like who can
identify it?
Speaker 3 (43:31):
Well, if you want to, uh, if you if somebody
wants to look at it and roll on arcana check,
you might be able to identify it.
Speaker 1 (43:38):
I got a plus two.
Speaker 5 (43:42):
Arcnna, oh I have a zero.
Speaker 3 (43:45):
Yeah, you're very much a fight man.
Speaker 4 (43:47):
Yeah, I'm not smart, Hulk Smash smash, I'm smash.
Speaker 3 (43:54):
All right, Tabby, you actually have a little bit of
a background. You do have a spell with you, so
you're kind of knowledgeable about the uh, the arcane a
little bit.
Speaker 5 (44:02):
The way you can test this to see maybe what
it is.
Speaker 4 (44:05):
If it's safe, dangerous, Yeah, if it's something we could
maybe hold on to for healing, some sort of a medicine.
Speaker 3 (44:15):
Maybe I'm gonna yep, go ahead, roll your D twenty
and add your arcona to it.
Speaker 4 (44:20):
What's your arcono?
Speaker 3 (44:22):
I'm gonna sneeze three?
Speaker 5 (44:24):
What's no?
Speaker 1 (44:27):
I had a plus one, I had a one.
Speaker 3 (44:29):
Roll and oh you rolled a natural one. So as
you as you toss this bottle around, it's green. It's
kind of oozy looking, but it doesn't look bad. And
if really June had it, it must have been at least something.
I just want to smell it. Roller Perception Jack, You
(44:49):
were sat there and you kind of held it. You
were like trying to be like feeling the magic of it,
but you didn't really look over the bottle. Seventeen. As
you flipped a bottle over the there is a label
on the it's on the bottom. The bottom of the
bottle is labeled Potion of Resistance.
Speaker 5 (45:09):
Acid acid.
Speaker 3 (45:11):
It is it is you have a potion acid resistance. Yes,
so you you whoever wants this is as a bonus action,
I'm readA real quick. As a bonus action, you can
drink this potion to administer it to another character within
five feet of yourself, and then you will have resistance
to acid damage. It be something nice to hold on
(45:37):
to you again. Anybody can use it at any point,
So get rid.
Speaker 5 (45:42):
I get it. Drink all right, I got peanut butter.
Speaker 3 (45:48):
Peanut butter, alright, just grown. Now you have a few
options here. You can try and scale these walls, these
ten feet walls, try and get into one of these
three areas overlooks now. Uh yeah, or you could or
(46:11):
you could go back and try to find another way. No, okay,
and don't forget there are these these kind of creeping
vines everywhere.
Speaker 1 (46:23):
Can a perception check to figure out like which direction
would be the best.
Speaker 3 (46:28):
Like out of the three or as of right now,
what you can see isn't much, so you kind of
you're kind of bogged down by being ten feet below everything.
You can't see very far into these pathways, either of them,
and they all just kind of are covered in these
these itchingly like kind of crawling, kind of twitchy black
(46:49):
roots that in case parts of the wall, and we're
kind of weaving over each other and as you step
near them, they kind of pull back a little bit.
Oh weird.
Speaker 1 (47:05):
Okay, you never split the party. But there's three of us.
We can each go down a path and then scream
if something happens.
Speaker 3 (47:22):
I don't know what if we go too far and
then we can't hear each other.
Speaker 1 (47:25):
I know that's all right.
Speaker 2 (47:27):
So do we want to choose one to go or
do we want to go back out and see if
we can find another?
Speaker 5 (47:30):
Well, since you two have uh dark vision, we have to.
Speaker 3 (47:36):
Get up high enough to see through it, so you
guys can climb.
Speaker 4 (47:40):
You do have like have athletics, Yeah, athletics.
Speaker 5 (47:44):
Athletics up there and take it to.
Speaker 3 (47:45):
Our atlantand or acrobatics would be used. All three of
you have access to that skill. It's going to depend
on your roles. If you know, you have to struggle
more or less. But with if you all three help
each other, I'm sure all three you can go. Also,
I think one of you.
Speaker 4 (48:01):
Has rope hold on Uh yeah, I was going to say,
but also throw me I don't care, Get on my
back and I'll go up there. I'll take you up there.
Got a quick Well I want to know what's up.
Speaker 3 (48:13):
There too, Okay, Well I do think if you.
Speaker 5 (48:15):
Then we'll jump back down.
Speaker 3 (48:17):
Mike.
Speaker 5 (48:17):
Yeah.
Speaker 3 (48:18):
If you look in your equipment at the very bottom,
I think you have rope. So if you want to
go up the first drop some rope down for the
rest of your crew would have an easier time.
Speaker 5 (48:27):
How high up are these?
Speaker 3 (48:28):
These are ten feet outlooks?
Speaker 5 (48:29):
Oh shit, I got fifty yep, you were.
Speaker 3 (48:31):
Okay, okay if you want to try and climb up there.
If you're going to try and climb up there, go
ahead and roll me an athletics check as you try
to kind of uh climb, climb and find your footing
to get up there.
Speaker 5 (48:42):
Eleven plus five sixteen.
Speaker 3 (48:44):
Sixteen All right. Takes you a second, and you might
have needed a knee from one of your compatriots, but
you do manage to get up there and heave yourself
over the archway and it's it is a farther tunnel.
Which one did you want to go for?
Speaker 5 (48:58):
Uh?
Speaker 4 (48:58):
What's I'll just go the one nearest to me and
then all the way Okay, So.
Speaker 3 (49:02):
You guys started out, there's three of them, so you
did you want to head this way? So like north or.
Speaker 4 (49:08):
To the point to where where are standing right now?
Speaker 3 (49:13):
So you guys entered through here. Mike, you were over
here when you found when you found your your bag
of really June, and then you have these three exits.
Speaker 4 (49:25):
Okay, So since I'm nearest that one, I'll start there
and go here.
Speaker 3 (49:28):
Okay. So you do end up getting up there and
you tie your rope. I guess around yourself so to
hold on, drop the rest down for your compatriots. You
two can both make athletics checks or acrobatic checks with
advantage seventeen. All right, you you grab the rope, take
(49:50):
take two steps up there. And you were up there
with him fourteen fourteen, you'd take a little bit more time.
You are a little bit more stout. You do have
heavy armor on. I'm also small. Yeah, so it takes
you a little bit a bit more. But with the
two of them up there pulling you up, you do
manage to get up. Yeah.
Speaker 6 (50:09):
Teamwork, teamwork makes it any work, y'all.
Speaker 5 (50:14):
Raho rah who battle cry rah?
Speaker 4 (50:17):
Okay who.
Speaker 5 (50:21):
To thyself be true? No, one's ever seen, babe. No,
it's a little a little peak.
Speaker 1 (50:29):
Babe came out before she was born.
Speaker 6 (50:31):
Lots of things came out before I was born. I've
seen a lot of things.
Speaker 5 (50:35):
You know, a lot of people came out before you're born.
Speaker 3 (50:38):
Immediately as you guys get up there and turn around,
you notice there's it's it is a little bit of
a hallway, about a fifteen foot hallway again again dug out.
The walls look like they've been dug by something large.
But as you enter the room a little bit one.
Are you being stealthy? Yeah? Real stealth checks for me?
Just out of the out of the blue. What kind
(51:00):
of armor are you wearing? Nog and you were holding
a light, so you have disadvantage.
Speaker 5 (51:06):
Actually I put it out, you put it out, Yeah,
got night vision.
Speaker 3 (51:10):
You were traveling blind, sir.
Speaker 5 (51:11):
Well, I'm walking next to.
Speaker 3 (51:13):
Okay, but you are traveling blind?
Speaker 5 (51:14):
There my eyes, yes, hold on, I rolled a fourteen fourteen.
Speaker 4 (51:21):
I just my stealth is a You.
Speaker 3 (51:25):
Still get disadvantage because you were wearing chain.
Speaker 4 (51:27):
Man on fortunately one one plus one okay.
Speaker 3 (51:32):
Going forward, you will have disadvantage on stealth checks, specifically
because of the type of armor you're wearing.
Speaker 5 (51:38):
It makes noise, it makes it jingles.
Speaker 4 (51:40):
Yeah, I guess I'm a run ahead.
Speaker 3 (51:43):
Okay, well, so you're so you're in front of the
you're in front of the troop. Just kind of keeping
it on because you can see you're in the middle
because you can't see anything. Yeah, and nog is bringing
up the rear. See here, can you find out where
your armor is?
Speaker 5 (51:56):
I'm sorry, my glasses on the.
Speaker 3 (51:58):
Front, but I can't find it.
Speaker 1 (52:00):
Uh bottom left.
Speaker 3 (52:03):
See how you're wearing chain mail. You also have disadvantage
on cell checks. Now, as you guys enter this room tabby,
immediately you see two plants shaped like droplets with purple
lattice like branches sprouting from the ground in this tunnel.
Their tendrils snake towards the ceiling and intertwined with vines
(52:23):
that cover every surface. This room is covered in these
in these dark, eery looking vines that kind of twitch
every so often. They seem like they're alive. Okay, go ahead,
roll the perception check six. All right, does anybody else
want to roll perception check? You can. You will be
(52:44):
rolling at disadvantage because you cannot see anything, right, so
you will be relying on completely other senses hearing and
smell and sound. I would also like to roll come
eighteen eighteen five. Okay, so from my two visual guys,
(53:04):
you you don't see much. You're kind of taken aback
by all of this off putting.
Speaker 1 (53:10):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (53:12):
Purple plant like stuff, and it's it's a lot to
take in. So the uh what you what? It's something
you've never seen before. Everything everything looks like it's kind
of interconnected and kind of living, like there is a
there's an air in the room that's very stale, but
around these plants, they're kind of like kind of now,
(53:39):
as you guys are focused on all these visuals and
kind of in taking what's going on, Mike from the
from the size, you kind of hear rustling and you
you kind of be like, what is You lean.
Speaker 4 (53:51):
Over to Tabby's character, I'm gonnas, what's in that direction?
Speaker 3 (53:55):
And you point in the direction where you hear the audio,
and you're like, what's over there? And Tabby, now that
he's pointed it out, you can see that there are
two Yeah, there are two. As I pull these out.
Speaker 4 (54:14):
See which should need a home?
Speaker 5 (54:16):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (54:20):
Those two violet fungus that they are not going to do.
These are mine. You can have the pictures. So those
those weird violating plants, those fungus that you see, they
actually seem to be moving a little bit more than
than uh you you would assumed at first they looked
at like just regular plants at first, maybe some weird mushrooms.
(54:43):
But now that he's pointed out that they're making noise
or there's noise in that that general vicinity, you can
see there's tendrils that reach out and they seem to
be reaching towards you. I need you both, all three
of you, to roull initiative and you Tabby can show
the crowd this. And as you guys noticed that, you
notice from the far end of the room there are
(55:05):
also two vine blight tanglers, and these are the vines
that kind of wrap around the room. Out of the
vines that wrap around the room, there are of vine
like creatures that have kind of taken on a humanoid
form that kind of reach towards you as well. Sierra
needs to see the pictures, all right, So we're rolling
(55:25):
roll A four initiative. Roll your D twenty and at
the top of your page, there's a little box that
says initiative. Go ahead and add that to your scores.
Speaker 4 (55:33):
I got twelve, you got twelve? Did you add did
you add your initiative?
Speaker 5 (55:38):
I'm looking for it.
Speaker 3 (55:39):
This is the very top of your page. A little box.
It says initiative fifteen, because I have a minus one initiative.
Speaker 4 (55:47):
All right, twelve in it?
Speaker 3 (55:48):
Uh no, so it should have a number in it already.
Speaker 5 (55:52):
Oh, I'm looking at the orown bock.
Speaker 3 (55:53):
Oh plus one, plus one to your initiative. So what
did you? What did you get? Thirteen for you? Thirteen
for you? What did you? Five?
Speaker 7 (56:00):
On five?
Speaker 1 (56:02):
The roll and five initiatives?
Speaker 3 (56:03):
All right, Sierra, what did you get? Fifteen? Because I
have a minus one initiative fifteen?
Speaker 5 (56:08):
All right?
Speaker 3 (56:08):
Those are good rolls, guys, good roles. All right, let
me roll initiative for my guys.
Speaker 1 (56:14):
How many of them are there?
Speaker 3 (56:15):
There seem to be four things moving in this room?
Have I seen them yet?
Speaker 5 (56:20):
Draw a weapon?
Speaker 3 (56:22):
Yes, you cannot see everything. You attack will be at
disadvantage unless you use an action right now to light
a torch. Okay, oh my god, I lied your turn.
Speaker 5 (56:34):
All right?
Speaker 3 (56:34):
Now, yeah, you guys fight blind? What my initiative? It's
eighteen eighteen. Okay, I read it upside down?
Speaker 5 (56:41):
Guys, how do you read what you want?
Speaker 3 (56:44):
Okay?
Speaker 5 (56:45):
I didn't want to. God, she's Superman.
Speaker 6 (56:47):
No, I didn't notice the one was upside down. Sorry,
I'm dyslexic. I'm so sorry.
Speaker 3 (56:57):
Okay, Well, so.
Speaker 5 (56:58):
The way this is gonna go less disliked Tabby.
Speaker 3 (57:03):
Also Tabby gave me once you are, we're in the front,
and we're the one that kind of can see where
things are. Now you have the first initiative, and then
it's immediately followed by nog no, no, no, my name
(57:25):
is no. And then Rambo you go after, and then
my two uh my, my, my two characters will go my, my,
my four, my four monsters will go.
Speaker 4 (57:37):
Hold on there, buddy, Now we are in.
Speaker 3 (57:40):
Combat, all right. Don't don't, don't, don't, don't, don't, don't.
Don't you have a song?
Speaker 4 (57:47):
All right?
Speaker 3 (57:48):
All right, So Tabs, you can see from where you
are about fifty let's see where we at hep From
where you are about twenty fifteen feet to your left,
there are the two purplish uh violet funguses with the
(58:11):
with the arms. They kind of outstretch and reach towards you.
They they look like they're moving very slowly and like
just kind of earth crawling towards you guys, But they're
not moving fast enough to really be any sort of
outwardly threat. You could have run them very quickly. But
(58:32):
towards up into the right and straight ahead of you
is you where you start to see the vines kind
of come out of the wall and humanoid forms. So
you guys are here in this far right area, and
then the two violet mushroom things are over here, and
then your vine blights are here and here. So that's
(58:54):
just your free your visuals. What do you want to do?
You have a rape year I think a bow.
Speaker 1 (59:00):
I have a short bow, a rapier, a dagger, twenty arrows.
Speaker 3 (59:04):
M and you also have the poison kukri that you
were given to by old Roll.
Speaker 5 (59:08):
So don't see how many arrows I have it.
Speaker 3 (59:11):
Okay, you can hand it over, okay if you want.
If you want to hold onto that, I think that
would be the most person to have. Yeah. Correct, you
don't have to use it at any point. You just
you gotta hold onto it.
Speaker 4 (59:23):
Are attacking, Yes it is.
Speaker 3 (59:24):
It is currently tabby. Now. Yes, we have to go
into an initiative Tabby's stern. I will say if you
want to, if you would like to, I will give
you the opportunity now to kind of wreck on and
say you lit your torch back up when you went
up here. You can the way you can see. If not,
everything you do will be a disadvantage.
Speaker 1 (59:46):
All right, So what's the hooded lantern?
Speaker 3 (59:48):
The hooded lantern is in your your position, right, would
it light enough? Yes? It would. It would give you
bright bright light for I think sixty feet for how
long an hour?
Speaker 2 (01:00:02):
Okay, So I will go ahead and take my action
and light the lantern, and okay, that's gonna be your action.
Speaker 1 (01:00:09):
That'll be my action.
Speaker 3 (01:00:10):
Okay, that'll be your action. You do have a bonus action,
I don't know, I'm not sure what. So as a rogue,
and this is something rogues can do, you have something
called cutting action, and cunning action means that as your
bonus action, you can take the disengage, the dash or
the hide so you can move. Your current movement is
(01:00:30):
thirty five feet, but if you use the dash action,
you can move up to sixty feet sixty seventy feet
because you are speedy. Instead, the other option is hide,
you can take the bonus action to hide, and on
your next turn when you go to attack, you will
have advantage and sneak attack. So that is something you
(01:00:53):
can do to kind of prep for the next bit
of the fight.
Speaker 1 (01:00:56):
Okay, I'm gonna back away and I'm gonna hide.
Speaker 3 (01:00:59):
You're gonna hide, So we're gonna use your bonus action
to hide and go ahead and roll the stealth Uh
check for me. You roll YOURD twenty and add yourself.
You think I think you have a plus seven nine nine?
You need different dice, sweetie, would you like would you
like him of mine?
Speaker 1 (01:01:16):
No, I've changed him. Hold on, they need.
Speaker 3 (01:01:20):
To they need to be in the dunch chair all right. Now,
that just that just goes against their perception. So that
just goes against their perception. So all the nine is
is noted. Right now? You think you're pretty well hidden? Yeah,
(01:01:41):
it's it's it's dark and uh oh wait that's not.
Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
That's better.
Speaker 3 (01:01:52):
Yeah, yeah, you got something. You got a decent dice?
Speaker 5 (01:01:55):
Uh the one she always uses?
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
Which one? Stealth steal? Nine's I think it's a plus
seven yeah okay, uh yeah again, you still think you're
pretty well hidden? I don't like the way you said,
all right, which now this leads into Nogs turn Sierra.
(01:02:18):
You are in the back of the group, but you
can move through friendly spaces. So if you want to
move forward around both Rambo and Rhea, which you're not
sure if you can see, if you want to look
for her, you can. If you don't, you don't have to.
But again to your left are these two tangles, and
then moving towards you are these two vine like creatures
(01:02:41):
that came out of the walls.
Speaker 1 (01:02:43):
I have an idea.
Speaker 3 (01:02:45):
I'm gonna wait, don't make fun of my hair and
take my hat. I kind of want to go up
and try and wallop something. All right, what you want wall.
Speaker 7 (01:03:00):
What?
Speaker 5 (01:03:01):
Just go?
Speaker 3 (01:03:03):
So? I have things thirty feet movement, okay, thirty feet
of movement, And if you want to move up towards
anything specific, do you want to go hit the big
the big violet fungus with the with the tentacles? Yeah?
Speaker 4 (01:03:20):
Why not?
Speaker 3 (01:03:20):
All right? There's two of them, so when you go,
if you get close enough, you will be engaged with
both of them, with both of them, yes, okay, you
know what, I'll go for it. Okay, So you were
going to move up to the left and now you
were currently engaged with both of them. Go ahead and
roll for your attack all right, D twenty. I have
(01:03:40):
to choose which weapon I'm using? Yes, which weapon are
you using? I'm gonna go with my battle battle ax.
Really you ely D twenty and you add the two
hit right, there should be the plus five plus four. Yeah,
so you would act add the attack bonuses, and then
once you figure out if you hit or not, you'll
roll your damage.
Speaker 9 (01:03:59):
Five oh eye rolled thirteen thirteen?
Speaker 3 (01:04:04):
Yes, that is that plus your attack bonus. Yes, okay, cool,
you hit it hit, So go ahead and roll your damage,
which is one D eight plus my three slashing correct?
Speaker 7 (01:04:17):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:04:18):
Seven seven seven damage? Soon two? Were you checking the
one on the left of the right?
Speaker 7 (01:04:27):
Uh?
Speaker 3 (01:04:28):
The right of me? Okay, all right, do you have
any bonus actions or anything? So? Yeah, I did not
read through your sheet, so you're gonna have to be
a little bit knowledgeable on this one. I'm sorry. It's
built different than the ones I'm used to. Yeah, I know,
this one's a little it's a little odd. Channel divinity
define order, I don't think so. Casting. You can also
(01:04:51):
check your spells and double check if you have if
you have anything that could be used as a bonus action.
If not, that's fine. You did do quite a hunk
of damage. What did you say? You said, uh seven,
You seem to have taken off quite a quite a
chunk out of this. As you sweep down with your axe,
(01:05:12):
you you hit and you kind of chunk off a
whole slice of this purple uh kind of waving mushroom. Now,
this thing is like it's you can see its tentacles
are kind of like waving more erradically as it reaches
for you.
Speaker 5 (01:05:27):
Nog U.
Speaker 3 (01:05:29):
Rambo, go ahead. It is your urn. What would you
like to do.
Speaker 4 (01:05:35):
I'm gonna use my uh oh, what was it? My
great sword?
Speaker 3 (01:05:39):
Your great sword? All right, you're about fifteen feet away
from where Sierra went to the to the left, if
you want to go there, and you lit a lantern
so you can see now into the room, if you
want to head towards the left and help nog in
their fight against these purple violet mushrooms. Mind you, the
those things that are coming out of the wall are
still the other end of the room though, so they're
(01:06:01):
not quite to you guys yet. So if you want
to go help nog. You would take your movement, which
is about fifteen feet, join the brother, and then for
you to hit the thing, you want to roll a
D twenty and in your weapons section you'll decide which
which weapon you're using, the great sword, So roll a
(01:06:24):
D twenty and then add the attack bonus or the
two hit bonus.
Speaker 4 (01:06:27):
Eleven eleven plus uh five plus.
Speaker 3 (01:06:31):
Five so sixteen all right. Uh, you hit it, and
you hit it hard. So what you're gonna need to
do is hate roll roll whatever it says for damage.
I believe it's a one D eight two D six.
Speaker 4 (01:06:47):
Eight damage.
Speaker 3 (01:06:49):
Yeah, it should say to the right next to the
right of you, to the right of ors this great sword. Yeah,
you gotta read my handwriting.
Speaker 1 (01:07:01):
Six plus three two D six plus three. Okay, we'll
get two D six and.
Speaker 4 (01:07:09):
Then six six plus three.
Speaker 5 (01:07:14):
Yeah that's total.
Speaker 4 (01:07:15):
Yeah, okay, so six damage?
Speaker 3 (01:07:16):
Were you attacking the one next to sier, the one
the one that is still attacking.
Speaker 5 (01:07:21):
The one next to her? Okay, so it doesn't attack her? Also, okay?
Speaker 3 (01:07:24):
Cool?
Speaker 5 (01:07:25):
Sorry, you're good?
Speaker 1 (01:07:26):
All good?
Speaker 5 (01:07:27):
Him bad?
Speaker 3 (01:07:30):
You can address me by she.
Speaker 5 (01:07:32):
It's okay, that's not acceptable.
Speaker 3 (01:07:36):
I will tell you what they are says it's acceptable.
RK park norf rkn nogging the direct. Now you have
your great sword?
Speaker 5 (01:07:51):
Yes, rules, yes, the rules.
Speaker 3 (01:07:54):
Can I see your character? She for a second, becau
I'm gonna explain something to you.
Speaker 5 (01:07:59):
No, I meant my great sword rules.
Speaker 3 (01:08:02):
The great sort does? Rules are? So you all have
this thing called weapons mastery. You are you have been
trained in the ways of your weapons. Now your your
great sword. If you were to miss an attack, would
still deal three damage?
Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
Right, Yes, obviously obviously as one does.
Speaker 3 (01:08:23):
So you also have this uh on your turn you
can take one additional action except the magic action. But
you can only do this once per long rest. So
if you do this now, you're not gonna be able
to do it again until you take a short or
long rest.
Speaker 5 (01:08:38):
So I'm gonna hold on to it.
Speaker 3 (01:08:39):
Yeah, but I would take take take that uh a
great battle.
Speaker 5 (01:08:44):
It sounds like we're just fighting plants, which is kind
of my thing.
Speaker 4 (01:08:47):
In D and D.
Speaker 3 (01:08:48):
I wanted to make sure you were aware of what
you had, Rambo. That is that all you would like
to do? Do you want to try and move out? Now?
I will say if you move away from the thing
you are attacking, it does get an attack of opportunity
as you were disengaging away without turning the disengage action.
Speaker 4 (01:09:03):
Okay, so I watch my my brain yep.
Speaker 3 (01:09:08):
So now it is the violet funguses turned. So these
things with the tentacles that you guys have been fighting with,
they are pretty large. They're they're about human size, they're
about they're aout as big as you guys have a
little six feet. They're pretty big your game.
Speaker 4 (01:09:28):
I'm so proud of you.
Speaker 3 (01:09:30):
So it's gonna, uh, the one in front of Sierra
Nog is going to reach out with its tentacles and
it's going to weird ten drils.
Speaker 4 (01:09:41):
I don't have tentacles, That's what it sounded like, MICHAELA.
Speaker 5 (01:09:45):
It's weird reach out with.
Speaker 3 (01:09:49):
The mushroom itself is going to reach out with its
ten right. Okay, that is a fifteen to hits here.
Speaker 10 (01:09:58):
What's your a CS yep, armor sixteen sixteen alright, so
I miss with my first my failure, yeah, yeah, just barely.
Speaker 3 (01:10:10):
So these things are slow, but their tendrils still kind
of reach out erradically. Now it has multi attacks, so
it's gonna try and hit you again, all right, bro,
which is even worse. I rolled a six. So this
thing you just keep you just take seven. You're you're
you're right underneath like its height where it's it comfortably swinging.
(01:10:31):
It's it's tendrils out and lashing them forward. You're just
underneath that hike. You're short. My next one, the one
on the left, the one that you're fighting, U Rambo,
it's going to reach out and do the same for you.
It's going to try and attack you.
Speaker 5 (01:10:46):
I will swipe with my long sword and that strong
sword sword.
Speaker 3 (01:10:51):
That is a that is a seven, that is a
seventeen to hit. This is this is something we're gonna
learn your armor classes at the very top of your page.
If it matches, it hits, so it does hit. If
it hits, it goes through or if like if you match, you.
Speaker 1 (01:11:06):
Go through matches.
Speaker 3 (01:11:08):
So it is going to roll a D eight and
it rolled a five, and that's that's all. So you
take five points of necrotic damage, but you have to
take off five from that and then it's going to
(01:11:29):
try to attack again. Hopefully No, it rolled a three,
so you got hit one time for five points of
necrotic damage. Exactly.
Speaker 5 (01:11:36):
It is it.
Speaker 3 (01:11:37):
These things are very slow. Twenty one you win. I
don't think that's how that works. But they're very slow.
But at the same time, when it did manage to
hit you, it kind of burned like me, you it
burned me kind of it kind of it kind of
gave this like dying feeling like your your the spot
(01:11:58):
where it hit kind of decayed a little bit.
Speaker 5 (01:12:01):
And that that do have a healers kit.
Speaker 3 (01:12:03):
You do have a healer skit. What the healer's kit
does is that if you need to stabilize somebody that's
already dropped to zero hit points, you can do that
as an action.
Speaker 5 (01:12:09):
Okay, and I'm not going to use that right now.
Speaker 1 (01:12:12):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:12:12):
So the next the next group that's going is the
vine blight tanglers, and they're gonna move. They're gonna move,
and they have a speed of twenty feet so they
can't get far. Let's see they start, all right, So
the vine bite blight tanglers. This one over here, the
closest one is going to actually go to uh going
(01:12:35):
to see what it is, which is wind side.
Speaker 5 (01:12:39):
So that was the pumpkin I drag. Oh, that was fire.
Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
It was delicious busting.
Speaker 3 (01:12:44):
It was busting, which is light.
Speaker 1 (01:12:48):
Okay, which is brew light.
Speaker 4 (01:12:50):
So like a swig, it's going to walk a swig.
Speaker 3 (01:12:55):
The closest one is going to walk towards the pair
that are already engaged with the uh uh yeah, with
with the fung us because they can't find Cabby. Now. Uh.
The the one that's on the far end of the
room does not reach all the way to you, guys.
It's kind of on its way, shambling and reaching forward
(01:13:16):
with its tendrils. But the first one is going to
try and reach out to ucer. You seem to have
done quite a bit of damage, and it's just like,
I don't like that, so it's going to reach out
with you with its entangling vines. All right, at me, bro,
it's constricting vines. And that is a nineteen to hit,
and that hits and that hits M and I'm gonna
(01:13:41):
roll a D ten. Okay, that's not a lot of damage,
but for damage, and if you are large or smaller,
which you are, you now have the grappled condition. So
(01:14:02):
on your turn you are going to spend your action
trying to escape from Okay, so.
Speaker 7 (01:14:09):
Yes, it's uh huh for damage for damage, but you
are now grappled and the other one cannot reach you, so.
Speaker 3 (01:14:19):
It was not attacking anybody, and it's back to Tabby Stern.
Speaker 1 (01:14:23):
All right.
Speaker 3 (01:14:24):
So this cool thing about rogues is that you have
sneak attack damage. If a character creature is engaged with
another character, you automatically have sneak attack damage. You only
have this the for your first attack, though, so you
will roll with advantage and then you will add a
certain amount of extraduct I think it's one D six
(01:14:45):
extra to your role for damage.
Speaker 1 (01:14:47):
Okay, let's hear.
Speaker 2 (01:14:50):
So I'm going to sneak attack to cut the vines
off of Okay.
Speaker 3 (01:14:56):
Cool, all right, so let you sneak go ahead and roll.
Are you what are you attacking with? What weapon? Dagger?
Your dagger? Is it the thing, the whole thing? Yeah,
the whole thing is made of vines. But you're unsure
as to how like tough they are. You've not your
rapier is piercing damage?
Speaker 1 (01:15:20):
Is?
Speaker 5 (01:15:26):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (01:15:27):
I should say I think that I had put arrows
where it said the type of damage. So if you
look at your weapons, there's there's this.
Speaker 1 (01:15:35):
Just has the bow and the dagger.
Speaker 3 (01:15:38):
Sneak attack, the rapier is piercing damage? Uh yeah, yeah
it will it will work in a pinch. If your
goal is to try and get this thing off, we
can definitely work on trying to get this off. So
if you want to go ahead and attack it and
bring its attention towards you.
Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
I've got the dagger while dual wielding light.
Speaker 1 (01:16:01):
Property weapons, may make a second attack with your bonus.
Speaker 3 (01:16:05):
So if you've got your dagger in one hand and
your rapier in the other, you can you can make
an attack with your rapier and then attack again with
your dagger. I would rather just dagger and cut, you know,
dagger dagger.
Speaker 1 (01:16:17):
Yeah, I'm gonna dagger and chop.
Speaker 3 (01:16:19):
Okay, go ahead and roll your first attack for me.
Speaker 1 (01:16:22):
With the dagger.
Speaker 3 (01:16:24):
Do the dagger. So that the with the nick is
is you're going one one It's it's like it's like
a double handed attack. So like you're going swipe slash.
Does that make sense? Yes, So you'd attack first with
one weapon and then attack again with the other weapon. Okay,
(01:16:45):
So if you want to get its attention, double hit,
double hit either way is going to give its attention
towards you.
Speaker 1 (01:16:54):
Okay, all right, So then.
Speaker 3 (01:16:59):
Which could make it drop knock?
Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
The rapier could slash while the dagger dagger cuts.
Speaker 1 (01:17:07):
Yes, correct, Okay, so first one will be the rapier.
Speaker 3 (01:17:10):
Yep, go ahead and rule your attack attack eighteen eighteen
to hit. That hits three mm four four hey, any
any damage is the damage.
Speaker 1 (01:17:28):
And then for the dagger next right, yep, dagger to
cut three.
Speaker 3 (01:17:36):
Twenty two that hits, go ahead and four four four
damage is eight damage total. Okay, that's a good that's
a good run. He definitely is looking.
Speaker 1 (01:17:57):
Go ahead.
Speaker 3 (01:17:57):
Sorry, what were you saying?
Speaker 2 (01:17:58):
I was gonna say, but I do have a second
attack as a bonus action because I use the dagger.
Speaker 3 (01:18:03):
That was that That was the two attacks. That's the
two attacks. Yeah, because like normally you would only get
the one attack with one one a one of those. Yeah,
but since since you had two light light orphanesse weapons,
you were able to go dagger and then or rapier
and then dagger. So you did eight damage to this thing.
(01:18:24):
So what what you notice about the vines is that
it is its entire body. It is it's entire thing.
It's just made of vines that have entangled around there
itself to kind of put itself in this weird humanoid figure.
It does not look uh, it's it's pretending to be humanoid. Yeah,
(01:18:49):
it is. It is a plant like and it's kind
of bringing Nog into itself on one side. And then
you see as you hit it, it's its head kind
of turned towards you. As the vines reconstruct themselves on
that side and Nog uh not kind of like as
they're struggling. See, I go ahead and because the attack
(01:19:12):
that Tabby made, go ahead.
Speaker 5 (01:19:13):
And roll a.
Speaker 3 (01:19:16):
What is this? I think it's athletics or just just
a strength a base strength check with advantage because she's
helping with advantage. Yes, thank god, sixteen sixteen. All right,
So you do manage to kind of pull its attention
so much to you because you did a lot of
damage to it that the vines kind of wrap around
(01:19:39):
and unwrap on Nog and reach towards you as they
go towards the thing that's turning it. Wait, so you
are now free, You're no longer grappled. Kay, and it
is your turn. It is my turn. Okay, I have
a question. Yes, my armor class says plus two shield.
It is already accounted for. Okay, but if you take
your shield off, you have to minus too. Okay. I
(01:20:01):
just wanted to make sure. Okay, So currently you're wielding
a shield and a battle axe. Yes, and if you
were to drop your shield and put it away, your
AC would go down by two.
Speaker 6 (01:20:11):
Yes, okay, I'm gonna try and hit the fun guy
that I'm going again.
Speaker 3 (01:20:19):
Okay, So, so you you kind of breathe for a
second as you noticed that the thing that was entangling
you and all these vines has redirected. It's focused onto
somebody else. Go ahead and roll your your attack on
the violet.
Speaker 5 (01:20:38):
The violet fungus shut out eight.
Speaker 3 (01:20:44):
It hits eight hits, eight hits. These things are huge
and they don't move.
Speaker 9 (01:20:49):
Yeah, that makes sense, okay, cool, okay, so go ahead
and roll your damage. Oh oh shoot eleven eleven damage
eleven hit the math.
Speaker 3 (01:21:06):
How do you want this to look? Can I slash
it in half? Slash it in half? As you as
you take your battle axe down, you go right through
the middle of it, and these these two halves of
this purple purple fungus fold apart and flatten into the ground.
Speaker 5 (01:21:25):
Hell yeah, well you do say Merry Christmas.
Speaker 3 (01:21:29):
I'm not saying Mary Christmas. You have officially taken down
one of the violet song it only had eleven hit
points left. There still is one violet fungus that is
up against Rambo, and Rambos returned.
Speaker 5 (01:21:43):
Okay, I am going to continue using my great sword.
Speaker 3 (01:21:48):
Okay, continuusing your great sword. Go ahead and roll to
hit if you want to try and attack this nineteen nineteen.
If it's cocked, go ahead, roll again?
Speaker 5 (01:21:58):
My god, can I just pick one? Go ahead, and
it was nineteen.
Speaker 3 (01:22:03):
Eight eight? Add your gay two? It should be five.
Speaker 4 (01:22:09):
I think yes, so eight plus five thirteen thirteen.
Speaker 3 (01:22:12):
That definitely hits again. These things are huge. They don't
move very easy to hit. So you're you're gonna go
ahead and roll your damage, which is your Yeah, it
should be two six plus three I think yarp use gunners.
Speaker 5 (01:22:31):
If this fus up, he's grounded.
Speaker 3 (01:22:33):
Yeah, dang, the kid's not even here.
Speaker 5 (01:22:36):
Yeah, but it's his dice.
Speaker 4 (01:22:38):
Come on, eleven eleven damage?
Speaker 3 (01:22:42):
Okay, did you add plus?
Speaker 5 (01:22:44):
Oh plus the uh?
Speaker 4 (01:22:45):
The three should be three plus three eleven to fourteen?
Speaker 3 (01:22:49):
Oh my god?
Speaker 5 (01:22:50):
You two? All right?
Speaker 3 (01:22:52):
How do you want this to look as? How do
you would you like to kill this violence?
Speaker 4 (01:22:56):
I want to swipe it from the bottom and then
when it flips up in the air down like that
the middle perfect.
Speaker 3 (01:23:03):
As you swipe it at the stem where it's connected
to the ground, it does like a flip as it
rolls off to the side and flips over. And as
it as it's falling to the ground, you swipe down
half wasn't the.
Speaker 4 (01:23:15):
Air And then as it's spinning in the air, coming down.
Speaker 3 (01:23:20):
Right right in half and it and it lands in
two pieces and its.
Speaker 5 (01:23:24):
Plant goop and say, Merry Christmas.
Speaker 3 (01:23:30):
Merry Christmas. You are too bad, guys. Down guys, it
only has very very plants. That means it is down
to the tangler. So these vine like creatures, Tabby, I
need you. I'm going to roll against you because this
first one has turned its attention on you as you've
hit it and tried to save nog from it.
Speaker 1 (01:23:53):
And that is that's an eight plus.
Speaker 5 (01:23:55):
I hope you get to decide a cool finisher. You
can hit it with a tide.
Speaker 3 (01:24:01):
That's four all the twelve to hit. I'm not I'm
not sure what your armor classes, but that is a
twelve to hit. Does that hit? Yes, that does not hit.
So this first one, it can't seem to quite reach
for you as as it's still trying. Yeah, it reaches forward.
Its tendrils are kind of taking it back from the
(01:24:21):
amount of damage. You didn't took it by surprise on
the last round, so it's still reaching for you, and
it's having a hard time grasp for you. The other
the other tangler that's been moving towards you, sees what
you guys are doing and reaches for Mike's character, who
has just had this cool finisher, is just screaming. It's like, yeah,
(01:24:42):
so I'm gonna roll to hit Mike, and that is
unfortunately that say it's sixty yeah you, yeah, I'm rolling.
Good for you. Sixteen six seventeen was sixteen plus four.
That's twenty to hit. Was that hit arma class with
your arm class seventeen seventeen, So it does hit So uh,
(01:25:03):
let's see you're good. I'm just I'm reading real quick.
That is four damage because I'm rolling.
Speaker 5 (01:25:16):
Crap.
Speaker 3 (01:25:17):
You need a different dad, I need a different D ten.
And you are now also grappling. You have the grappled condition,
which you can fight at a later point. So on
your turn, you're going to have to try to get
get out of this grapple. Okay, at the beginning of
your turn, you're gonna try to get out of the scrapple. Yes,
(01:25:39):
your turn.
Speaker 1 (01:25:40):
So are these vines coming from the same location?
Speaker 3 (01:25:44):
No? So these both of these Uh, they're all encompassing
the walls. All the walls are covered in these vines.
And these two lights had come out of very different locations.
One came from the far end of the room and
one came slightly to your guys, is right, but they're
the they are. These vines are everywhere, so at any moment,
you guys are unsure what could be hiding in them
if they're anymore.
Speaker 1 (01:26:05):
So, I'm wondering, because I have oil flasks.
Speaker 2 (01:26:10):
Can I take an oil flask and throw it at
the base of the one that's grappling him and then
light it?
Speaker 3 (01:26:16):
You can certainly try.
Speaker 1 (01:26:19):
Not yet say we gotta say that.
Speaker 5 (01:26:22):
I mean, if I can't get out of my grapple, will.
Speaker 2 (01:26:25):
Because I'm about to throw an oil flask at it
and light it on fire.
Speaker 3 (01:26:28):
Well, mind you, he is currently grappled, so it is
a very there's a very good chance you could you
could damage me, but you are he will have a
chance to get out of his grapple. You are focused
on something else. Plus Nog's turn his next and Nog
has nothing to do yet, so Nog can try my
(01:26:49):
thumbs over here. Rambo, you are currently engaged with something.
Tabs do not try and you know, save everyone.
Speaker 1 (01:26:55):
Both of the main mushroom guys are gone.
Speaker 3 (01:26:58):
They're gone, and Monog will have time to assist Rambo. Yeah,
assist Rambo because they have nothing to do. So you
are currently fighting. You are currently fighting a vine of
a vine blight tangler is currently head to head with
you head. There's head to head to you. The one
that you pulled off Nog is head to head with you.
(01:27:18):
The other one from across the room is on the
other side of uh uh Rambos. You would have to
disengage from this one and move away and then try
to attack, but he disengages. An action's a bonus action,
so you would have to like move away from this
one and then go and try and attack this one
from a different angle. You cannot currently get to this
unless you move, so I would I would if to
(01:27:44):
if if I had to suggest, I would say get
rid of this one and then focus on helping him later.
Because they are capable.
Speaker 4 (01:27:51):
They're adventures to have a fighter.
Speaker 3 (01:27:54):
You're a fighter flower.
Speaker 2 (01:27:57):
That's like to like the one that's trying to attack me.
Speaker 3 (01:28:03):
I will suggest against setting people on fire.
Speaker 4 (01:28:06):
I don't need this.
Speaker 1 (01:28:07):
I guess I'm gonna cunning action because I do have
that right cutting action.
Speaker 3 (01:28:16):
That's your that's your uh want to dash. Okay, So
when you're engaged with something, if you leave, it's the engagement,
it will get an attack of opportunity unless you disengage.
So that's like, that's where you could use that action
to dis that bonus action to disengage. However, if you
(01:28:37):
just see, if you could kill the thing, it'll be gone.
If you just kill the thing, it might be gone.
Speaker 1 (01:28:43):
Yes, but the thing isn't that close to me.
Speaker 3 (01:28:45):
Though, right No, I meant the one you're attacking right now,
it's right next to you. Yes you, yes, you. You
attacked this thing and it turned around and you two
are head to head, face to face. You are engaged
in hand to hand com that.
Speaker 2 (01:29:03):
Basically okay, So can I roll for perception to see
how to kill this thing?
Speaker 3 (01:29:08):
That would be your action if you just want to attack.
Speaker 1 (01:29:10):
It, Okay, then I'm gonna you.
Speaker 3 (01:29:12):
You're gonna get two. You're gonna get two attacks you're
gonna get two attacks because you're you're you're dagger has
nick on it. So if you attack with your dagger
and you're your rape, you're back to back be very similar.
Speaker 1 (01:29:26):
Let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:29:27):
Yeah, right, so best, Yeah, you got you your first
one twenty the natural twenty. Hell yeah. So what what
Natural twenties do in fifth edition is when you roll
your damage for this attack, you're going to double your dice.
So if this is your rape, you're you're gonna roll
(01:29:48):
your d eight twice and then you're gonna add your bonus,
so like your plus three or whatever it was, So
the better of the two rolls, No, you take both
of them. You add them six eleven plus three fourteen
on your first hit, on your first hit, And as
your first hit swipes through the vines kind of pull
(01:30:09):
apart from each other and it collapse to the ground
and it is dead. You've killed the first vine blight. Yes,
now you cannot currently get to the vine blight that
is attacking him. You can move, however, you do have
the move action if you want to move in that
general vicinity here in this game.
Speaker 4 (01:30:41):
Out of trash.
Speaker 3 (01:30:44):
So you're going to head towards the one that's attacking mic. Okay,
so on your next turn, that'll be something we can
deal with. But right now, unless there's any other bonus
actions you have or like if you need to take
a potion or want to look at something, I think
you're I think it's mostly your turn is.
Speaker 5 (01:31:06):
It's would be Nog's turn.
Speaker 3 (01:31:08):
Nog is after tap, I'm still in a you're still
in a grapper and you're on the beginning of your turn.
You'll get a chance to get out of it.
Speaker 5 (01:31:15):
Okay, I think I have a plant. I hope it works.
Speaker 3 (01:31:18):
On the beginning of your turn. What you're gonna do is,
I'm gonna have you roll a D twenty to see
if you can escape the grapple. Okay, it's just gonna
be a basic D twenty strength at tax track.
Speaker 4 (01:31:28):
My strength is five, yes, so you're gonna roll a
D twenty nine five. I'm a strong you're you're a
strong batster.
Speaker 3 (01:31:33):
I don't hulk smash, hulpe smash, all right, cool, that
is Nog's turn, Nog. As you turn away from the
violet fungus that you've slashed in half, you see as
your friend slashed his violet fungus also into pieces on
the floor, and is is screaming in this you know,
joyous happy happenstance. And as he's doing this, you see
(01:31:55):
these vines envelop him, and you see your other friend
Troy of humanoid vine thing that had had you and
it's it's misst just moments before. So you you have,
uh within you might have to move five feet, but
you can get to the vine blight tangler that is
attacking and grappling your friend here. Yeah, absolutely all right,
(01:32:16):
go ahead, go ahead and roll an attack, all right,
that would be nineteen nineteen hit nineteen does hit and
because uh, you go ahead and do your damage. And
then Mike, I'm gonna have because because she's attacking it
and it's testing its strength, go ahead and roll the
strength check to see if you can escape its grapple
(01:32:39):
while it's being distracted and and and damaged. Is this
a D eight? No, that that's a D tense here, Well,
I haven't rolled anything higher and cool, we'll get to
that joint. So I need a D eight. You don't
have a D eight. I thought I I thought I
thought this was a D eight. I am gonna kill this.
(01:33:00):
I'm sorry.
Speaker 4 (01:33:00):
Listen Okay, this is the last time show. I'm so
sorry list ruining the podcast. Okay, eight triple two in
the morning.
Speaker 5 (01:33:12):
Eight eight, Okay, let's go.
Speaker 3 (01:33:15):
Did you add your that that was with adding? Okay?
Still still that isn't that good? That is a good hit.
Speaker 5 (01:33:22):
I rolled in that ice and that ice.
Speaker 1 (01:33:25):
My cycle rolled in that.
Speaker 3 (01:33:27):
Iye, this dice is so pretty. So as you as
you slash your battle axe towards this amalgamation of vines
holding your friend, you smell, slash at one of its
arms and and it cuts off and falls to the ground,
and that was what was holding your friend, Rambo and Ramble.
You are now free, Yes, yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:33:46):
I had a joke. She's my battle axe.
Speaker 4 (01:33:49):
Actually I rolled in that twenty and I was just
gonna rip the fucker out of the ground and beat
the sham.
Speaker 3 (01:33:54):
But you are now free. You have an arm in
your hands, so I mean, it's not gonna do It's
not gonna you much because you're not proficient in vines.
So you can hit am now you can hit with it,
but I don't know how much damage you would do
against that.
Speaker 5 (01:34:08):
I'm going to hit a carcass with its own.
Speaker 3 (01:34:10):
Bad You can definitely try if you'd like to.
Speaker 1 (01:34:12):
Well, I's still up and moving and living.
Speaker 3 (01:34:14):
It is still living. It is still alive. Cut down,
it is now one limb short, but you can see
that the limb is kind of regrowing and these vines
wind around each other.
Speaker 5 (01:34:26):
I rolled a twenty in. My strength is plus five
twenty five.
Speaker 3 (01:34:29):
You are free. That is that is the point you
broke free, broke free of this arm, and you have it.
Speaker 1 (01:34:35):
Because it is your turn.
Speaker 4 (01:34:37):
I want to do my cool sword trick again and
flip it in the air and swipe it down.
Speaker 3 (01:34:41):
Okay, so roll to attack.
Speaker 4 (01:34:43):
You can do that.
Speaker 3 (01:34:43):
Roll to attack because that that that strength trick you
did was to get free nineteen to hit that definitely hits.
Go ahead and roll damage. That's your two D six
plus your three.
Speaker 5 (01:34:57):
Where's the we are?
Speaker 1 (01:35:02):
No boys?
Speaker 5 (01:35:03):
Hello, boys, fucking I rolled a twelve two.
Speaker 3 (01:35:08):
Oh my god, Oh my god.
Speaker 5 (01:35:13):
Look at you, guys.
Speaker 3 (01:35:14):
How do you want this to look? How do you
want to do this?
Speaker 4 (01:35:18):
I'm going to do the mich cool trick, right, I
fucking swipe it and slip it right.
Speaker 3 (01:35:24):
You swipe it at its feet, at its ankles, and
and it knocks it up and it flips in the
air and as it comes down you swipe it and
all the vines scattered to the ground.
Speaker 5 (01:35:35):
But I want to shout, like links of time high.
I want to throw a highat in there.
Speaker 3 (01:35:42):
All right, your components are now dead, and as you
can tell, as far as you can tell, the room
has gone quiet and there are no other foes to
be seen at this time.
Speaker 6 (01:35:53):
Cool.
Speaker 3 (01:35:53):
You are cool.
Speaker 4 (01:35:53):
The Mortal Kombat theme has stopped playing. Okay, it's Johnny
k We're all doing.
Speaker 5 (01:36:00):
Fighting poses, by the way, Yeah, we're all doing fighting poses.
Speaker 3 (01:36:05):
Right.
Speaker 4 (01:36:07):
I got my sword and I look at you and
I go, you're gimli. No, I look at you and
go prefer I'm just here, yeah, right, So I'm.
Speaker 5 (01:36:17):
Here for a good time, not a long time, as
you guys, love you.
Speaker 3 (01:36:20):
Throughout this this area now as you've as you've opened
it up and you can see a little bit more,
you see there is two pathways that are not the
way you can There's one that leads down and there's
a short hallway which you can kind of see into,
which leads into another chamber. Which way would you like
to go?
Speaker 11 (01:36:40):
And that, ladies and gentlemen, ends Part one of our
damd horror episode next week when we finish the game
