Speaker 1 (00:34):
Hey, what's up, guys. Welcome to a brand new episode
of the Grace Taproom Podcast. I'm your co host Mike
and joining me as always the trash can Tavvy. And
now we're going to get back into the final episode
of the horror edition, Dungeons and Dragons. Let's go short.

Speaker 2 (00:53):
There's a short hallway and then there's a farther hallway
that goes down. You guys can't see where it leads
to yet.

Speaker 1 (00:58):
Do we want to go?

Speaker 3 (01:00):
Yeah, let's feel Yeah, let's just let's just keep going because.

Speaker 1 (01:03):
I don't want to go through that ship again. That
took too long.

Speaker 2 (01:05):
Okay, So we're heading down, yes.

Speaker 1 (01:07):
Yeah, let's continue on our path of righteousness.

Speaker 2 (01:09):
We're gonna continue on our path of rightous the path
that rocks, This path that rocks, all right, I'll name
the king has come. So as you guys traveled down
this hallway, it is long, winding for about thirty forty feet,
still winds around and and the vines are you notice

(01:32):
a little less through here. But as you get farther
down the corridor, a weird, unlike unusual fog has kind
of set and as you you you kind of feel
along the walls and the door. The end of the
hallway opens up into a chamber. You can't see anything,

(01:52):
even YouTube, even to YouTube with darkness that dark in there.
It's not dark, it's foggy. There is a mird fog
throughout this entirely.

Speaker 1 (02:02):
It is heavily Brian's fog machines that.

Speaker 2 (02:05):
Yeah, it is heavily obscurity Brian and and and you
cannot see anything. However, if you want to roll perceptions.

Speaker 3 (02:15):
For me, perception, yeah, roll perceptions for me.

Speaker 2 (02:19):
Hey, what a disadvantage?

Speaker 1 (02:21):
Box?

Speaker 2 (02:22):
Tinder box is something to light a fire.

Speaker 1 (02:25):
I don't want to do that.

Speaker 2 (02:25):
Disadvantage means you roll twice and take the lowest, and
because you can't see anything, you're relying on other senses.

Speaker 3 (02:32):
Mine's a nine, nine, ten, ten, Mike, roll twice, take.

Speaker 2 (02:36):
The lowest, fuck one, I just rolled a twenty. Will
you take? You to take the lowest to the lowest. Hey,
not bad. You don't have to see anything. You're still blind. Unfortunately, unfortunately,

(02:59):
all three of you you cannot see in this room. However,
you've been traveling, You've been traveling through this this these
tunnels with the least about a light and you're used
to now kind of relying on your other senses to
hear what's going on.

Speaker 1 (03:12):
In my defense, I will never fucking do that.

Speaker 2 (03:15):
So in the in this in this room, from a
from ahead of you kind of to the right, you
hear what sounds like a chit miss clattering chitness, kind
of clacky nose and the movement and echoing of shifting earth.
Is it sounds like something's digging. Sounds like something big giant.

(03:41):
Sounds like something big is digging. Now, you guys have
not fully entered this room yet. You cannot see five
feet in front of your face.

Speaker 1 (03:54):
So it's that foggy.

Speaker 2 (03:57):
It is thick fog.

Speaker 3 (03:58):
You cannot see anything.

Speaker 2 (04:00):
So you have choices here, Okay, you have choices again
to you could try and fight your way through it,
like can.

Speaker 1 (04:10):
I make a suggestion to the group, stand side by side,
draw your best weapon and hold the line and just
start walking.

Speaker 2 (04:18):
That's what I'm saying is you can try and try
and kind of push through and swing wild whatever might
lie ahead of you. You could try and sneak your
way around the room like against the wall like firemen do,
and and search for for whatever might be. Then the

(04:39):
thing that you hear is on the other side to
the right. Kind of like, I'm gonna show you what
you can't really see.

Speaker 1 (04:46):
But can I have that when you're done to show
to the audience.

Speaker 2 (04:48):
Yes, you can show to the audience, but don't take
too much. Don't look at it too much because, uh.

Speaker 1 (04:54):
We highly recommend you watch this on YouTube. Okay, do
you want to show the coming.

Speaker 4 (05:02):
From that area and you don't hear?

Speaker 2 (05:05):
Uh, what you hear is coming up into the right ish,
so like up a little bit further there is Yeah.

Speaker 1 (05:12):
There's a tunnel over here.

Speaker 2 (05:14):
On the Yeah, you can't see anything in front of
your face, but you can kind of hear that the
thing that you hear is coming from the far right.

Speaker 1 (05:22):
All right, Okay, so I think what we what we
need to do is form a line side by side,
dry your weapons, move in that direction, and just walk
slowly at a slow pace. Use caution.

Speaker 3 (05:41):
You both go ahead.

Speaker 5 (05:43):
I'm going to hide and sneak so if anything happens.

Speaker 4 (05:48):
I'm there as back.

Speaker 1 (05:49):
That's you being a rogue. Okay, do you want to
do that?

Speaker 2 (05:53):
More suggestion just so you guys are new with this,
Because you guys are new to this type of game.
This is a type of fog that and there might
be creatures in this because they are cave like that
can can sense things even in the darkness. So there
are types of creatures that are familiar with the underground

(06:15):
world that have something called tremor sense, so they can
kind of feel things. And this is I'm only telling
this to you because you guys are new. I have
that sonar kind of but you can find kind of
feel where things are probably if it's aware, if it's
aware paying attention a bonus. I don't know that this

(06:37):
thing has that or not. I'm just saying that this
is something to keep in mind.

Speaker 1 (06:39):
We should let you go ahead.

Speaker 2 (06:41):
Then there is a possibility if you want to if
you want to go through, if if you want to
try something else to kind of maybe get it to move.

Speaker 6 (06:50):
Is the midget sneaky, I'm wearing chain mail.

Speaker 2 (06:54):
You're wearing chain mails, so you both have disadvantage to yourself.

Speaker 1 (06:58):
Then you should go and report back to us. You
want me to go hold on, what's what's the movie? Okay,
you go ahead and we'll be here.

Speaker 5 (07:11):
Yep mm hmm, Okay, So you want me to do
my sneaky sneak.

Speaker 2 (07:15):
So you're gonna try and sneak into the room.

Speaker 5 (07:17):
I'm truck into the room and see what's going on.

Speaker 2 (07:19):
Are you sticking to the wall? Are you just walking
straight into the far But I'm tiptoeing's like legless.

Speaker 1 (07:25):
She can tread lightly.

Speaker 3 (07:27):
I can walk across them.

Speaker 2 (07:28):
Okay, you have no idea how long this room is.
So you're just walking into possibly a hostile situation.

Speaker 3 (07:33):
Absolutely, Okay.

Speaker 2 (07:34):
Do you have your weapons drawn?

Speaker 3 (07:35):
I have my dagger and my rapier.

Speaker 2 (07:37):
Okay, So what I want you to do is go ahead,
roll a D twenty, add your stealth modifier and let
me get my.

Speaker 1 (07:45):
Are we gonna hang back while you go and scope
it out or try to babe? Is that the plan? Yes,
you're we're gonna see me and Mikayla or Sierra? What's
your name?

Speaker 3 (07:57):
You did not just call me Kayla's name? How dare you?

Speaker 1 (08:03):
You can walk on snow? I've seen I've seen this. Yes,
you're graceful.

Speaker 2 (08:07):
Right, So tabs, what did you roll on? Eed? You
roll your one D twenty just once? Just twenty, yeah,
just to twenty once and then add your stealth modified
to it. Thirteen Okay, Okay, So you feel like you've
you've hidden you, you're taking quiet steps, You've left your
friends behind with caution, I'm going to roll you.

Speaker 1 (08:29):
See what I did there, perception NAILI.

Speaker 2 (08:35):
So as you as you, as you move slowly through
the room ten fifteen feet, you still hear this chips
digging and you haven't seemed to disturb it yet. Do
you want to continue?

Speaker 3 (08:46):
Yes?

Speaker 2 (08:46):
Roll another stealth check for me. You're just walking straight right.

Speaker 1 (08:50):
When did you get green dice?

Speaker 2 (08:52):
Eighteen?

Speaker 4 (08:53):
Right?

Speaker 1 (08:55):
Oh? This year? Yes, that's your new dice? Yes, okay,
shut up.

Speaker 7 (09:00):
It's been my best one. I've I've rolled every single
twenty that I've gotten. This is the best one, okay,
eighteen eighteen. Still, as you sneak tiptoe slowly another five
ten fifteen feet, you start to see maybe something that

(09:23):
looks like a dark tunnel on the other side, but
you still hear this earth scratching noise to your right.
It hasn't stopped yet.

Speaker 1 (09:34):
Are there any sounds other aside from the scratching, like
some sort of animalistic.

Speaker 2 (09:38):
It's like this weird like you know, like in the
in the Godzilla movies, or like the like this like
kind of insectoid kind of chitness clacking.

Speaker 1 (09:50):
Starship Troopers say, yeah.

Speaker 2 (09:54):
The spider noise that they use in haunted houses that
kind of like clicky. Yeah, that that's the kind of
noise that is accompanied by this, this earth moving noise.
This this sound of soil being dug out and a whole,
like the hole in the wall being created. You kind
of get the gist that this is where the tunnels
have come from.

Speaker 1 (10:13):
Right, who is doing?

Speaker 2 (10:16):
Brian Briand's documented out are you? What are you doing?

Speaker 3 (10:19):
I'm going to roll perception to see if I can
see it.

Speaker 2 (10:21):
Okay, roll perception like a natural toy No.

Speaker 3 (10:26):
Seventeen plus three.

Speaker 2 (10:27):
Okay, So what you do see as you end, like you,
as you kind of kind of come through the fog,
what you do see is a tunnel that wak that
kind of goes over one, a tunnel that kind of
goes forward and turns, but you do not see the creature.
The creature actually is a little bit more behind you. Okay,

(10:50):
what this is a very large map?

Speaker 1 (10:51):
I'm sorry, is the other side another game?

Speaker 2 (10:54):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (10:55):
Oh damn it, that's different. Okay, I saw that they
pentagram I'm like, oh, fuck of.

Speaker 2 (11:00):
The Sorry yeah, you see this tunnel that kind of
goes and curves, but you don't see the creature. In fact,
you hear the creature still in this this area behind
you now to your right, from behind me to the right. Okay,
mm hmm, okay, So.

Speaker 3 (11:17):
I'm gonna I cannot see the creature.

Speaker 4 (11:19):
I can't it's too foggy.

Speaker 7 (11:22):
Being stealthy and quiet, I'm going to the other two.

Speaker 2 (11:30):
Like signal them to how are you signaling them? They
cannot see you. If you are talking, You're.

Speaker 1 (11:35):
Gonna have to come back.

Speaker 2 (11:37):
Nope.

Speaker 8 (11:38):
If you hear that, if you were just gonna want
to turn around and come back, you're gonna need to.

Speaker 4 (11:42):
I'm gonna turn around and go back.

Speaker 2 (11:44):
And rule stealth check for me. Okay, oh ye, pick
it up, yep, roll yeah, roll it in the roll
it in the tray. Fourteen. All right. As you are
heading back towards them, you get five ten and you

(12:08):
trip over a rock just a little bit, just a
little scuff off your foot, just a tiny little scuff
is your foot and you hear the digging.

Speaker 1 (12:17):
Stop bus astru Guess.

Speaker 2 (12:22):
Was that English?

Speaker 1 (12:23):
That's determined for? What did you say?

Speaker 2 (12:25):
You're not You're not quite to you guys. What you
guys here is the digging stop and I just but
you can't see anything. Yes, that's basically what's happening right now.
You are waiting and waiting and and tabby you you

(12:46):
hear something start moving moving towards you, and I need
your role initiative, just you, because the other you haven't
joined you yet. But just you, baby, all right, you
will definitely go first.

Speaker 3 (13:07):
Before okay.

Speaker 4 (13:11):
Oh Jesus Christ, you.

Speaker 2 (13:17):
Said a twenty what is with with your initiative? What
is that? Just in case anybody rolls, you're up at
the top. There's a little spots that says initiative. All right,
and this this thing starts moving forward towards you. You

(13:39):
can swing at it if you would like. You cannot
see it, so your attacks will be a disadvantage. But
you can, but you know that it's there and it's
moving towards you. So if you want to swing, you
don't know, but.

Speaker 4 (13:50):
I can't hear it.

Speaker 2 (13:51):
You can m relying on my You are relying on
your senses. Go ahead, that's not going to help you
so much right now. On each to roll a perception
just to just kind of in the background kind of
see if you can sense how close it is to you,
this is gonna be a disadvantage because you are relying
purely on your ears.

Speaker 1 (14:11):
If it helps from my angle, you roller twenty one fifteen.

Speaker 2 (14:14):
Roll again, take the highest or the lowest. I'm sorry,
take the lowest thirteen. So thirteen, okay. So you hear
it moving forwards. You can't tell how big it is.
You can't. You can't really tell where it is, but
you can sense that it's getting closer, and it's close
enough that maybe if you like reach out and take

(14:37):
a swipe, you're gonna hit something. Must swipe it, all right,
Both your your attacks are going to be a disadvantage.
So roll twice and take the lowest.

Speaker 4 (14:51):
God, damn it, I'm pretty sure I see it.

Speaker 2 (14:55):
It's it's right there. Yeah, Now, don't forget you have.
This is something you can do as well, and it's
is just as as as a as a newbie. As
a new player, you have the option to use the
dash action. You don't think it's engaged with you currently,
You're not sure, So if you wanted to dash towards
your friends and just run and try to get out

(15:16):
of the fog, see it fall, try and see it
follow you. Let's dash. So we're going to use all
of our movement and we're going to run. As you run,
you're gonna hear as something swipes towards you that does
not hit. Because I rolled an eight, I think your
AC is like, what fifteen? What's your armor class? Fourteen?

Speaker 1 (15:41):
I'm missing a dice.

Speaker 2 (15:42):
You're missing a dice.

Speaker 4 (15:43):
You gave it, Siara, all right?

Speaker 2 (15:45):
So you you dash five, You reach your friends out
of the fog into the other hallway where you guys
first came and out of the fog. Following you right
behind is this huge creature. This this large monstrosity of
a creature. And if you would like to show the

(16:07):
audience this, this is a large bug life creature.

Speaker 1 (16:13):
Oh my god, it's and Kang, it's an ok yes,
that's what I said. We're fighting.

Speaker 4 (16:20):
This is this the stuff point.

Speaker 2 (16:25):
Don't look at the stats. Give me the stats.

Speaker 4 (16:27):
This is the point already showed up Alty.

Speaker 1 (16:33):
I wanted to get a good POV.

Speaker 2 (16:36):
It's okay. Now this is the thing we're fighting right now.
So you are now in this very.

Speaker 3 (16:41):
Enclosed hallway, oh ship, with.

Speaker 2 (16:45):
This giant thing on your tail and this hallway is
about ten maybe fifteen feet widen some spots. But this
thing is huge. This thing is very large. It makes
up almost the entire tunnel.

Speaker 1 (16:57):
I'm going to do.

Speaker 2 (16:58):
We need to take a pause.

Speaker 1 (16:59):
No, no, I just I've had four beers.

Speaker 2 (17:02):
That's okay. We're gonna roll. I'm gonna roll initiative for you.
If that's okay.

Speaker 4 (17:08):
You want to roll right now?

Speaker 2 (17:09):
You want to roll your initiative right now? I don't
know yet. We're about it. We're we're all joining in.

Speaker 1 (17:14):
I'll do my roll and then I'll go.

Speaker 2 (17:20):
Roll.

Speaker 9 (17:20):
Roll, roll your dice, both of you see around you
already were.

Speaker 2 (17:32):
Keeping you twenty five. Yeah, so we have eighteen you're yeah,
and a seven?

Speaker 10 (17:39):
All right?

Speaker 3 (17:46):
Do nog.

Speaker 2 (17:56):
Just nowadays. That's what we we're doing tonight. Before this
this lovely game, we were out there haunting it up
and joining our Halloween season, which is kind of where
this game game sets. It's kind of spooky and kind
of creepy. Crawley, he was the next one. Unfortunately, I'm

(18:18):
just kind of we cut this. You'd like to right now.
This is a very large fight that's about to happen.
This thing is very big and very intimidating. If you
want to pick this up next time.

Speaker 5 (18:28):
Definitely, let's just be quiet so I can find it
when I edit.

Speaker 11 (18:50):
Everybody over there, Oh yes, it's a pumpkin, the lighter
version of the original, which is which is Well, it's

(19:10):
your turn, so if you want to bring it back,
but uh, I just said take a break for the
pause and the pause just ship. No, no, it's your turn.
I'm not so just say just roll just.

Speaker 1 (19:23):
And I'm out rolling my natural twenty.

Speaker 2 (19:25):
Okay, so if you, by the way, cool, I'm glad
you guys are enjoying it. So as this thing enters
the hallway and Tabby run Tabby's character runs past you,
guys kind of like runs into the area that you're in,
very enclosed area, and it exits the fog.

Speaker 1 (19:46):
Was this demagorgan thing the thing that was making the
digging noises?

Speaker 2 (19:50):
You kind of think, so, yeah, yeah, this thing is that?
This is thing, This thing is the chiddering kind of
digging diggings stopped.

Speaker 1 (19:57):
I will rolled my natural twenty.

Speaker 2 (19:58):
You're going to swipe throughtacking. You all three are kind
of engaged with it.

Speaker 1 (20:02):
You know, what, where is the photograph of the creature?

Speaker 2 (20:05):
Oh, I have it.

Speaker 1 (20:06):
I want to because I want to see its head
because maybe if I because if I can use my
crossbow to shoot out an eye, you could definitely try
have eyes.

Speaker 2 (20:15):
It does have eyes. It has quite a few eyes. Okay,
it's bug like, it's insectoid.

Speaker 1 (20:21):
So we're gonna say it has like would you say,
like the like like a house fly if I shoot one,
if you're like I was gonna.

Speaker 3 (20:31):
Say a scorpion and like it very very scorpion like.

Speaker 1 (20:34):
So if I can at least hit it somewhere towards
the central point of an I, it would take out
all of them.

Speaker 2 (20:41):
Just while we're doing this kind of break, would you
like to roll a nature hitcheck or a history check
or something to see if you know anything about this
type of creature? Yes, my history, since since we have
this kind of down down moment while we're waiting for tabby,
you both can do that. Go ahead and give me
that that that that.

Speaker 1 (20:58):
Role just what it? What am I looking for? On
the on.

Speaker 2 (21:01):
The and then on your skills section on the left
side of your sheet, you're gonna either pick nature or history.

Speaker 1 (21:09):
My nature is a zero. My history is also a zero.

Speaker 3 (21:13):
Okay, you're not a very knowing.

Speaker 1 (21:15):
I haven't. I just kind of go into battlegung ho.

Speaker 2 (21:17):
That's but you can still roll, see if you roll
high enough to see if you've maybe fought one of
these before.

Speaker 1 (21:22):
Okay, okay, here we go, are you rolling?

Speaker 2 (21:30):
Twenty A twenty two twelve twelve?

Speaker 9 (21:36):
All right?

Speaker 1 (21:37):
So you.

Speaker 2 (21:40):
Rambo in your past, in your recent past?

Speaker 1 (21:43):
Actually have I battled one of these?

Speaker 2 (21:45):
Battled one of these before?

Speaker 1 (21:47):
Actually, and clearly I've come out the victory.

Speaker 2 (21:49):
You have come out the victor. You are aware, you
actually know some things about this. Now, I've fought one
of these before and one in your past. You know
that these oversized insects, and they're large creatures, large monstrosities,
which means they take up fifteen space feet space, so
in height a like nine feet that they're about ten

(22:13):
feet tall.

Speaker 1 (22:14):
Okay, they're two of me.

Speaker 2 (22:15):
Yeah. So these large oversized insects on kegs burrow close
to the surface, creating sprawling underground labyrinths. From these tunnels,
they burst forth to dissolve and devour smaller creatures using
their acid dripping mandibles and spray of digestive enzymes.

Speaker 1 (22:34):
Oh okay, so they spit, they spit. They're squirters. Nice,
It's all right.

Speaker 2 (22:42):
So if you're gonna if you're gonna try and hit
it with your with any of your weapons, go ahead.

Speaker 1 (22:46):
I want to use a crossbow because, knowing that its sprays,
I want to try to keep my distance but also
hit an attack.

Speaker 2 (22:51):
Okay, So as it has entered this this hallway, here.

Speaker 7 (22:56):
It.

Speaker 2 (22:57):
You guys are kind of pretty close to it. You're
not super engaged, but you're close.

Speaker 1 (23:02):
So if you want to foggy, can I see what's happening?

Speaker 2 (23:04):
It has exited the fog. You guys are in this
hallway or clear?

Speaker 1 (23:07):
It's a clear ring.

Speaker 2 (23:08):
It is a clear hallway. Yes, it is not foggy.
Your attacks do not have disadvantage in this hallway. If
you were to re enter the fog, your attacks would
have disadvantage. However, if you want to pull out your
crossbow and take a step back with your movement, maybe
maybe back ten feet.

Speaker 1 (23:22):
I want to fire at an eye.

Speaker 2 (23:23):
Fire at an eye. Go ahead and roll your D
twenty and add your two hit on your crossbow. Should
be next to your crossbow. Sixteen sixteen did you add
your your oh?

Speaker 9 (23:33):
Get in your sheet?

Speaker 7 (23:34):
My uh?

Speaker 2 (23:35):
Right next to your crossbow to the right two D No,
what does it say to attack bonus? So it should
say right next to the name of the crossbow to
the right of that should say plus three.

Speaker 1 (23:49):
It's not up here, crossbow is down here on the list.

Speaker 2 (23:53):
Right cross Sorry plus before that.

Speaker 1 (23:58):
One D three plus one what I want?

Speaker 4 (24:00):
I got it?

Speaker 2 (24:01):
Nope, my hand eight.

Speaker 1 (24:05):
One day one one D eight plus one one. You
want to make sure plus three? So what am I rolling?

Speaker 4 (24:15):
Plus three?

Speaker 1 (24:16):
Oh? So D twe so my D twenty plus three.

Speaker 2 (24:20):
Yes, you're D twenty plus three.

Speaker 1 (24:24):
I rolled it already. What was it was a sixteen
plus three nineteen.

Speaker 2 (24:28):
Nineteen, thank you nineteen. So you hit it? Yeah, you
hit it in the face where you were aiming at.

Speaker 1 (24:34):
Oh no, I was an eye, all right, specifically and typically.

Speaker 2 (24:37):
Ad an eye. Okay, you hit pretty darn close to
that eye. I want to ease your roll damage to
see how much damage this takes. My damage is one
D eight plus.

Speaker 1 (24:49):
I'm looking forward on the sheet. Yeah, so right right
next to it, it's it's dim where I'm sitting.

Speaker 2 (24:53):
It's it's right versus light crossbow. To the right of that,
there's a one D eight plus one.

Speaker 4 (24:58):
Yeah, roll oh Joe.

Speaker 1 (25:05):
Eight eight eight.

Speaker 2 (25:07):
So seven plus one so an eight. Yeah, it it
ends up going like right below the eye as you
shoot an a or right into its face. It goes
it's right right, I got it, you got it, You
got it right really close. It's a good shot. It's
a really good shot. Right right. It's moving and it's
kind of it's kind of moving towards you, and it's

(25:28):
it's rearing up, so it's kind of hard to hit,
moving like it was moving that much.

Speaker 1 (25:33):
What does it do after I make the hit, It's.

Speaker 2 (25:35):
Screeched, this weird kind of insectoid speaking kind of screech
and kind of rears up. And then I think that's
that is your turn. I think, right, that is your
the end of your attack, which leaves us to nog
It is your turn.

Speaker 1 (25:53):
You should swipe it while it's read up. You should
swipe it's belly with your axe.

Speaker 3 (25:57):
Yeah, I can do that.

Speaker 1 (25:59):
Got this fuck her? Try to end it quick. That's
I mean?

Speaker 2 (26:03):
Is that?

Speaker 1 (26:04):
Okay?

Speaker 7 (26:06):
Yeah?

Speaker 1 (26:06):
Guys, take this down the belly with your axe.

Speaker 3 (26:10):
Hold on, I'm rolling, good lord, I rolled ten a ten.
To add anything to it, I already did. That's with the.

Speaker 2 (26:19):
Added all right, So you you swing at it, but
as it's rearing back from the shot from from Nogg's crossbow,
you you miss a leg as it raises, it raises
it up and recoil, so you do not end up
hitting this damn it, which brings it to its turn
as it saunters back down. And it's currently in pursuit

(26:41):
of Tabitha. So Tabby, your character of what's your best weapon,
is getting attacked. Your character is getting attached, and it
swings towards you. It's it kind of reaches towards you
and bites us hand masket what you have. It's like
that does not hit with a seven. So as you're

(27:01):
running away, you just right out of its grasp, right
out of the grasp of its pinchers, and it snaps
the bat to you. And that goes back to Rhea's turn.

Speaker 1 (27:12):
All right, all right, mommy, let's go.

Speaker 4 (27:17):
So I've got the double.

Speaker 5 (27:21):
All right, So I got the rapier in one hand, dagger
in the other, and.

Speaker 1 (27:26):
That one is the Do you want to try to
go for the the belly too, I'm.

Speaker 4 (27:31):
Gonna go for the throat, all right.

Speaker 2 (27:32):
So you're turning around and facing this thing full force.
All right, so go ahead and roll your attack. Your
first attack gets advantage because it is engaged with nog
as well.

Speaker 5 (27:45):
Right, so the first one is gonna be the rapier.

Speaker 2 (27:48):
Yeah, go ahead, Yeah, go ahead, and yeah, go ahead
and use your rapier first. At it. Stop throwing your
dice on the floor.

Speaker 1 (27:54):
You have a bowl. Put it in the bowl.

Speaker 2 (27:58):
God damn it, Lucy, it's under the couch.

Speaker 1 (28:03):
No, I'm just looking at there's a pretty girl.

Speaker 2 (28:07):
You have advantage, you advantage. Roll twice, take the highest
eleven to hit. Yeah, you do not hit, Okay, you swipe,
you swipe forward. But again, it's it's a it's a
weird kind of insectoid movement. You're not used to. This
movement was first first. Now I think if I think

(28:29):
with the mastery, the nick requires you to hit first
in order to use that second attack.

Speaker 7 (28:36):
Uh.

Speaker 5 (28:36):
The nick is while dual wielding light property weapons, you
may make a second attack as your bonus.

Speaker 2 (28:42):
Okay, so as your bonus section, go ahead and make
that second attack.

Speaker 1 (28:46):
Uh. Fourth player has entered the game.

Speaker 2 (28:51):
What are you talking about. That's a bad guy. Oh no,
twenty three to hit that definitely hits. So with your
dagger with your dagger. Go ahead and roll your is
I think it's a D four seven seven damage? Whoa
seven damage?

Speaker 8 (29:08):
Okay, so that's definitely poke with the rapier and swipe
with the dagger.

Speaker 2 (29:14):
You guys got me doing math. Thanks? Oh this is
the nerdy mask. All right. That was your action and
your bonus action that brings us to Rambo. It is
your turn, and you are currently about ten feet back
with your crossbow aiming at it.

Speaker 4 (29:31):
Now, how badly damaged is this creature?

Speaker 2 (29:34):
It's still kicking pretty well, it's still it's it's a
pretty large you what you when you're uh? When your
dagger stabbed it, it cracked some of the the like
exoskeleton that it.

Speaker 4 (29:45):
Has, so it's open. There is a part.

Speaker 2 (29:47):
There is it is. You can see that there's one
part with your with your thing that it's kind of
damaging the exoskeleton. But it doesn't look like it's hurting
quite yet.

Speaker 4 (29:57):
Yes, but it's still there.

Speaker 2 (29:59):
There is there is a wound.

Speaker 5 (30:00):
There is a wound that is open that he could
possibly hit with his.

Speaker 2 (30:04):
You can definitely try.

Speaker 1 (30:05):
Do you think I should go at it with the
sword or the crossbow? All right?

Speaker 2 (30:10):
All right, I'm gonna currently not hurt like you. You
can tell that it's it's still very aggressive. It doesn't
look like it's in pain. But I've cracked its shield,
yes you have.

Speaker 1 (30:20):
It's okay. I think I'll go for the go for
the open wound.

Speaker 2 (30:26):
Yeah, okay, go ahead and really roll to attack. It's
it's in like you, you were aiming for the chest area.
So it's gonna be in like the chest air because
it is a very tall creature.

Speaker 1 (30:35):
So is it nearest the heart?

Speaker 2 (30:37):
You're not sure where its heart is.

Speaker 1 (30:40):
I might try to jam my long sword into that wound, like,
so you're.

Speaker 2 (30:45):
Gonna try and move that towards. So currently this is
a very narrow area. So you've been shooting over your friends.

Speaker 1 (30:53):
Okay, then I'll use the crossbow on this. So aye,
if I'm far back, I don't want to get close
and risk hurting myself. So yeah, you too, obviously, So.

Speaker 2 (31:04):
Go ahead, go ahead and roll to attack with your crossbow.
You have reloaded and you're you're aiming to shoot at
it again.

Speaker 1 (31:12):
Thirteen thirteen plus plus.

Speaker 2 (31:14):
Three okay, so plus three okay?

Speaker 1 (31:17):
Yeah? Or hold on yeah crossbow yes plus three.

Speaker 2 (31:21):
Yeah plus three six sixteen to hit. You do hit,
go ahead and roll your damage, which I believe is
one D eight plus one.

Speaker 1 (31:32):
Yes, oh Joe baby, eight nice? Nice for proof?

Speaker 2 (31:45):
All right, as your as your arrow pierces this exoskeleton
in the rough area of the same place you're tab
in its chest, and now it has multiple wounds here,
you didn't hit exactly where you were aiming for. But
you have real close again, You're really really you're really close.
It's it screeches again, it kind of recoils back up,

(32:05):
but it's still is still going. It's it's still pushing
forward and it is it's it is Nog's turn right now.
So no, go ahead.

Speaker 8 (32:14):
I guess I'm gonna try and hit it with the
Battle Act I am because I'm sure roll.

Speaker 1 (32:19):
To hit got this motherfuck because.

Speaker 8 (32:24):
She bang bangs that would be eight eight, So sorry, guys.

Speaker 1 (32:32):
No, oh boy, this Nog as.

Speaker 2 (32:36):
This you're you're you're short, and it's very it's very large,
and and as as you you're swinging. Let me see
your cart, Let me see spells.

Speaker 3 (32:47):
Do you have spells? Oh my god, I gotta have
used guiding bolt. Well wait now it's oh I don't
think it's no, but I have bolts.

Speaker 2 (33:00):
No bolts, sacred sacred flame of arrows.

Speaker 3 (33:04):
Oh, I don't have sacred No, it wasn't on the
back of it is on the back of your I
did not see that one.

Speaker 2 (33:11):
Where is my spell cards.

Speaker 1 (33:16):
I had?

Speaker 2 (33:17):
Okay, we're we're taking a little bit of a thing
because I we forgot it. We forgot a spell, we
forgot a spell.

Speaker 1 (33:22):
This episode is brought to you by Okay.

Speaker 2 (33:24):
So Sierra, I'm i'm I'm allowing you a wreckcon because
you didn't know you have. This is a cantrip. A
sacred flame of a cantrip says, flame like radiance descends
on a creature that you can see within range.

Speaker 3 (33:37):
Of sixty feet.

Speaker 2 (33:38):
The target must succeed on a dexterity saving throw or
take one D eight radiant damage.

Speaker 3 (33:43):
Oh so would you like to do that instead?

Speaker 2 (33:45):
Yeah, Okay, go ahead and I will roll a dexterity
saving throw. Okay, I needed new dice plus plus zero.
So that is that is a six and your I
think your spell save DC is a twelve.

Speaker 3 (34:04):
You have my paper, I do have your paper.

Speaker 2 (34:09):
I do have your paper. It is a thirteen, so
that he definitely failed. Okay, so you do do uh whatever,
This is one D eight damage radiant damage. Okay, so
go ahead and roll your one D eight.

Speaker 3 (34:21):
Alright, mom, maybe.

Speaker 1 (34:27):
Eight sixty three or eighty three.

Speaker 2 (34:30):
Seven? Nice?

Speaker 1 (34:33):
What I'm on my vaporizing modulator?

Speaker 3 (34:37):
Would you roll seven?

Speaker 1 (34:39):
I was asking about the charge? All right?

Speaker 2 (34:43):
All right? You you reach your arm, you reach your
arm out, and with your shielded arm, you hold onto
your holy symbol and blash a blinding white light at it.
And and it, as it says it light, this light
encompasses it. It's screeches back and pulls back, and you
can see the parts where you guys have been hitting

(35:04):
it kind of kind of fall apart a little bit more.
It's looking rough, but it's still standing, all right. And
it is it's turn now, and it's angry, Oh God,
and it's angry. So it's going to rear back and
it's going to a green green go is gonna come
out of its out of its mandibles. And everyone needs

(35:28):
to roll a dexterity saving throw. So what you're gonna
do is gonna roll your D twenty And on your
sheet at the very top left, there is a section
that says saving throws. Your you're gonna do is you're
gonna roll your D twenty and add that dexterity modifier
to it, Sierra, I don't know where it is on yours.
It should be under dexterity.

Speaker 4 (35:48):
Wait yeah, wait, hold on, I've got I've got.

Speaker 2 (35:53):
Saving throws saving up at the top on the left.

Speaker 1 (36:00):
Oh okay, I was looking for saving throws.

Speaker 2 (36:03):
Yeah, there's a section that call that's called saving throws.

Speaker 1 (36:05):
Yes, at the top, you said twenty, yeah.

Speaker 2 (36:09):
Rollody twenty once taboots, it doesn't matter. I can't.

Speaker 1 (36:15):
I rolled at nineteen yo, nineteen. What did your role
steps last one? I get a twenty okay, got.

Speaker 2 (36:22):
Twelve twelve that's what you need?

Speaker 3 (36:24):
I god seven seven okay.

Speaker 2 (36:27):
So there's the rogue and the person in the back.
You take. You see this happening, and you're familiar with
these creatures, so you know that they spray acid at
points right you. You know that you need to take
a step back and move out of the way of
of this this acid spray that it comes spraying out
kind of vomitous at you. Guys, you Tabby are quick

(36:49):
enough as a rogue and what you needed to hit
with a DC of twelve, so you were able to
move out of the way. See, however, you take some damage.

Speaker 10 (37:03):
Oh god, oh god, how much did I take?

Speaker 1 (37:15):
I can heal you, so you can heal herself. Okay,
well I have a healing kit.

Speaker 10 (37:21):
Well I have a spell.

Speaker 2 (37:25):
You unfortunately take the brunt of this damage and you
take twelve Oh my god, acid damage.

Speaker 4 (37:35):
Jes melted.

Speaker 3 (37:37):
Guys, I'm at five.

Speaker 2 (37:39):
Can you heal on her turn? Which brings us back
to us? All right, so I'm still pretty close to
it though, right, all right, yeah, you moved out of
the way, but you're still engaged with it.

Speaker 3 (37:54):
I'm gonna do a double again, double again of.

Speaker 2 (37:57):
The ray you're in dagger, alright, rape your dagger mix.
Go go ahead and roll your dice, and because Sierra
is still engaged that you do get advantage on your
first roll. So go ahead and roll twice. Take the
highest wait plus the bus roll. Yeah. What you do
is you roll twice, take the highest dice, and then
add the bonus to that dice.

Speaker 7 (38:19):
Alright, ten bonus, ten, fifteen, fifteen, alright, that hits, that hits.

Speaker 2 (38:24):
Go ahead and roll your damage for that damage is one.
There we go.

Speaker 4 (38:32):
I lost it.

Speaker 7 (38:33):
Mm hmm.

Speaker 2 (38:36):
Eight eight damage, all right, all right, you you you
swipe at it with a your your rape year and
managed to knock off parts of its its chittennis armor
and eat it is looking of you, you'd almost like
knock off a mandible, but it is. It is like
if it's You're not sure if it's breathing, ir if

(38:58):
it's just heaving from like the exhaust of you guys
tearing at it. But it's still it's still kind of there.
Can I go ahead and do your other action? Dagger?

Speaker 7 (39:07):
Ye?

Speaker 2 (39:07):
Do your dagger? Dagger is twelve five seventeen seventeen hits.

Speaker 4 (39:17):
Four six six damage.

Speaker 2 (39:22):
All right, and you're how do you wanna do this?

Speaker 1 (39:26):
It?

Speaker 2 (39:28):
Do it? How would you like just to look dab
as you use your dagger to end this thing? Let
me see it.

Speaker 7 (39:36):
So I jump in the air after I stab it
with the rape ear, I jump in the air with
the dagger in my right hand held sideways as I
jump down, and his neck.

Speaker 3 (39:47):
Is completely just open.

Speaker 7 (39:50):
Take it down through its jugular, through the throat, blood
just spewing everywhere before its head is just like flopping
because I've taken.

Speaker 3 (40:00):
It out with my dig all right, all right?

Speaker 2 (40:02):
As its head lolls to one side, and the entire
thing kind of bends and falls to the ground and
you come down on top of it.

Speaker 3 (40:12):
Superhero landing.

Speaker 2 (40:13):
Superhero landing, like you have knocked the absolute shit out
of this thing, completely completely demolished, and it is it
is dead. The light out of its many eyes dims,
and it's it's it's still.

Speaker 3 (40:26):
I'm watching his dead still, and the room is.

Speaker 2 (40:31):
Quiet in this vicinity. You may continue. Exception checks go ahead,
and we are now out of initiative, and you guys
may do as you wish. Perception for me, perception seventeen
for me, seventeen for Tabby, anybody else rolling perception.

Speaker 3 (40:52):
Me, uh, twenty, I got, I got a fifteen fifteen.

Speaker 2 (40:55):
All really good perception rolls you, guys, as you notice
the room is still far but you're listening and you're
kind of hearing around. You guys have learned how to
kind of not rely on site so much in this fight,
and you don't hear anything anywhere nearby, so you think
it's it's pretty clear, and you remember the way to

(41:17):
the hallway you saw, so if you want to lead
your friends across the still foggy room, you are more
than welcome.

Speaker 1 (41:22):
To do that.

Speaker 2 (41:24):
Let's move on.

Speaker 8 (41:26):
Before I start following. Can I cast a spell?

Speaker 2 (41:31):
You may cast a spell. Remember you have spell slots. Yeah,
you have two spell slots. Yes, and at this point
you believe it is clear enough if you want to
take a spell slot, and if you guys need to
take a short rest, you will get that spell slot back.

Speaker 3 (41:45):
I have three spell slots.

Speaker 2 (41:48):
You're you're not a wizard.

Speaker 8 (41:49):
I'm sorry. Yeah, I would like to cast cure wounds.

Speaker 2 (41:55):
Cure wounds on yourself. Yes, hey, go ahead, all right?

Speaker 3 (41:58):
That is with two D eight plus No, I found
another one. We're good.

Speaker 2 (42:05):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (42:05):
It says a creature you touch regains a number of
hit points equal to two D eight plus your spell
casting ability modifier, which I believe is wisdom.

Speaker 3 (42:21):
It's plus three.

Speaker 2 (42:22):
Yeah, okay, so go ahead and add two D two
D eight plus three help health points to you. Okay,
that is six plus three.

Speaker 3 (42:32):
That's nine.

Speaker 10 (42:34):
Not a whole lot, but it's something.

Speaker 3 (42:36):
I got fourteen hit points. Again, that's that's better than nothing,
better than what a head.

Speaker 2 (42:42):
As you guys continue on past the foggy room, and
you guys are going through the hallway that you found earlier.

Speaker 3 (42:49):
I went the big boss. Do you need uh rembo?
Remember do you need healing?

Speaker 1 (42:57):
Oh?

Speaker 2 (42:57):
Cool, cool, You're both pretty cool.

Speaker 3 (43:00):
He's at seventeen. I still have a whole one.

Speaker 2 (43:02):
All right, You guys are good. You guys? Are you guys?
Are you know what's doing? All right?

Speaker 12 (43:07):
Are we past that point that you said, are you
are passing? You are past the Yeah, we're gonna get
all stuck. Okay, okay. As you guys round the corner.
As you guys enter thisce this extra hallway that you
found earlier and have now led your friends to again,
the vines on the walls kind of oohs and creek

(43:28):
as you guys walk past, squirming at at points and laid.
They definitely have like reacted to your guys's presence a
whole scene and kind of they're definitely adding to a
really creepy ominous setting. As you round the corner of
this hallway, you are greeted with this entrance to a

(43:50):
buried crypt. Thick vines cover its crumbling stone doors, and
naral black roots squeevee across the chamber floor. Near the doors,
the es wrap around a halfling farm hand, small girl
wrapped in vines and she's out cold, unconscious.

Speaker 2 (44:11):
Oh, so.

Speaker 3 (44:17):
I step up, I take out my dagger. Can I
free her?

Speaker 2 (44:28):
Go ahead and roll me a strength athletics check, go
me a roll me an athletics check. M hm, And
you can you can have assistance from somebody.

Speaker 8 (44:39):
Else, I can. I can assist her, all right, So.

Speaker 2 (44:43):
Sierra uses the help actions, so she's gonna come and
help you with it. So what you're to do is
you're gonna roll twice, take the highest and add your
athletics to it. Six six, So you start hacking this
away at these these vine and they do squirm, but
they stay tight around around, really around this this halfling girl.

(45:05):
Does anybody else want to try to take more of
an attack at these these vines? Yes?

Speaker 10 (45:10):
I I would like to, uh try you want.

Speaker 2 (45:15):
To try them? Yeah? You all three of you can
go go ham at these vines if you'd like to. So, Mike,
if you want to take a take a bite at
these two, you both can roll athletics checks.

Speaker 1 (45:23):
Oh, I'm not gonna put my mouth on it, but
I'll use my Yeah.

Speaker 8 (45:27):
I will also not want to put my mouth on those,
all right, So don't.

Speaker 2 (45:30):
Put your mouth on these vines. Go ahead, and and
both of you roll the D twenty and add your
athletics check plus.

Speaker 3 (45:41):
So whatever you get eleven, don't drop your dice. I
rolled eleven eleven for Sierra.

Speaker 2 (45:50):
Yes, right, fourteen fourteen, all right. So as you guys
are working together, nice, nice, As you guys are working
together and chopping at these vines, they finally start to
give in. As as you you get to the bottom
through one, it kind of squeals almost and like ripples

(46:11):
back and kind of takes some of the other ones
with it. And as Sierra, Sierra's character nog is is,
you know, chopping at these vines on the other side,
eventually you get her completely freed and you shake her
and she wakes up and this this halfling girl blinks
at you guys, and she she introduces it. She's like,

(46:33):
where where am I?

Speaker 4 (46:35):
You're safe? You're safe?

Speaker 2 (46:39):
Who who are you? People?

Speaker 3 (46:41):
Who are here to save you?

Speaker 2 (46:44):
Save me? I the last thing I remember, Oh my god,
there was that hole and oh and she she's she's
starting to remember kind of where she's at. She's like,
there was that big thing, what thing that dad, that
big bug? And I ran, I ran, and then I
ran into these freaking vines, and I got I got

(47:07):
they suffolt like I couldn't breathe, and I guess I
got pull. Here are you guys here to fight this
thing too.

Speaker 7 (47:15):
We're here to save you and help your family. Okay, okay,
tell us everything you know.

Speaker 2 (47:23):
Okay. Well, the other day while I was in the
basement of the house, I heard this digging and I
found I found this tunnel and I followed it, and
I was like, maybe it would help fight whatever we're
you know, just going on with the family farm. I

(47:44):
was hoping that maybe I could, you know, put a
stop to whatever's going on. But I am way out
of my league here. I still want to help. I
want to I want to fight. I did see a
little bit through this door when I was looking. What
did you see this? This? Or there's a big tree
on the other side. It's a big, big tree with
big black vines coming from it.

Speaker 3 (48:06):
So you'll underground right now?

Speaker 2 (48:09):
Yeah?

Speaker 3 (48:10):
Is it upside or is it down top side?

Speaker 2 (48:17):
It's it's it's in the room here. Yeah, through those doors.

Speaker 3 (48:21):
We have to go through the doors.

Speaker 2 (48:23):
I think. So that's all. I only remember getting a
glimpse of it. But there's a big tree in there.

Speaker 3 (48:28):
I grab her face, can you fight?

Speaker 2 (48:33):
And she she looks at you, and then she looks
to her side and there's a pitchfork laying there and
she picks it up. She's like, you have my pitchfork.
I'm gonna do anything to help my grandpa. Let's go
go through the door, right.

Speaker 3 (48:50):
I look at my colleagues, Let's go through the door.

Speaker 2 (48:53):
All right? Do you guys enter this door? This this
this broken and and and crumbling door.

Speaker 3 (49:02):
I stop, and I look at her again.

Speaker 7 (49:04):
What else do you know that could help us get
through this door?

Speaker 2 (49:09):
All I remember seeing is this big tree before I
was knocked out.

Speaker 3 (49:13):
A big tree.

Speaker 2 (49:14):
Yeah, that's all I remember. All these all these vines.
I think they're coming from this big tree. And I
don't know what else is in the room, but I'm
willing to help you guys fight it.

Speaker 3 (49:23):
Is there anything that could have led up to this?

Speaker 2 (49:26):
I don't know. I I don't know.

Speaker 3 (49:28):
I have the all day. And then just I.

Speaker 2 (49:31):
I heard the digging in in I found the hole
in the basement, and I came in here to search
and I knocked. I remember seeing well, I was trying
to hide. I saw the tree, and then I must
have gotten knocked out. I don't remember, all right, crumbling door,

(49:52):
Do you guys enter the door?

Speaker 3 (49:53):
A fucking yeah?

Speaker 2 (49:56):
Is you? Guys?

Speaker 3 (49:57):
Do you want to kick through it?

Speaker 4 (49:58):
Push?

Speaker 2 (49:59):
Push? Breaks break down the door? A black bark tree
looms crookedly over this eerie crypt and the door that
you is really big crypt door. And in this room,
it's a very like large ornate crypt. And in the
center there's this coffin type object, this big box, and

(50:27):
out of the center of it, this big looming tree.
Gnarled branches press against the fifteen foot high ceiling, and
it's twisted, twisted trunk rises from the splintered lid of
this closed coffin. It's just wrapped in knotted roots, squirming
vines wriggle along the crypt walls. And as you look

(50:47):
around the tree, three hideous dog like faceless creatures kind
of pace around this tree. They don't notice us, not yet, guys,
haven't quite entered the room. You've just kind of peeked
through the door.

Speaker 5 (51:07):
What do we do?

Speaker 7 (51:08):
Oh man, I will I'm gonna go ahead. I'm going
to that's all right, am?

Speaker 8 (51:20):
How far away are the faceless uh dog creatures?

Speaker 2 (51:24):
Those faces dog creatures are boot I'd probably go try
you're twenty five feet around you, guys, if you guys
want to show the camera this this room, which, yeah,
that's the room you're in. That tree in the middle
is what you guys are, uh seen, and you're right there, Yeah,

(51:45):
you're right by those crumbly rocks right there. And the
demo dog. The demo dog's type things are yeah, that's
what I'm calling them because the lines there's there's three
and they're surrounding the tree, one on either side and
like one in the back. They're circling.

Speaker 1 (51:58):
Okay, got hold on, let me see that.

Speaker 4 (52:00):
Go ahead, okay, so can I I'll go first.

Speaker 7 (52:07):
Since I'm a rogue and I am going to sneak,
I'm gonna I'm going to wait, should I sneak or hide?

Speaker 2 (52:21):
I'm gonna say the same thing.

Speaker 3 (52:22):
Yeah, I'm gonna. I'm gonna sneak.

Speaker 2 (52:25):
Okay, you're gonna sneak and move or are you going
to sneak and stay? Buddy?

Speaker 4 (52:28):
Can move?

Speaker 3 (52:29):
Okay because I want to get eyes on the ground.

Speaker 2 (52:32):
Okay, Like, so you were you are entering the room.

Speaker 3 (52:35):
I am entering the room, but very like tiptoe.

Speaker 2 (52:37):
Okay, which direction are you headed on the map? There?
Uh you good, Mike.

Speaker 4 (52:46):
I'm gonna.

Speaker 13 (52:48):
I'm gonna.

Speaker 1 (52:49):
I was scoping out. Now that we're at the end
of the map, I want to I wanted to kind
of get.

Speaker 4 (52:54):
A whole full It was a little bit of things
you guys missed.

Speaker 1 (52:57):
Yeah, I wanted to just get a full like kind
of layout of the line.

Speaker 2 (53:00):
That's okay, there, there was there's a lot of options,
a lot of routes you guys could have taken to
get here. This is where you guys were supposed to go.

Speaker 3 (53:06):
Okay, So so I'm gonna come in and go left.
Has never been wrong to me.

Speaker 2 (53:13):
So I'm gonna go to the left.

Speaker 3 (53:15):
No, I'm gonna uh yeah, I'm gonna go in.

Speaker 2 (53:17):
And these these sections here they're like killers, They're like pillars. Yeah,
so they're large pillars.

Speaker 5 (53:23):
So I'm gonna go in and through the left and.

Speaker 3 (53:26):
Like go up to the corner.

Speaker 2 (53:28):
So I can say you have thirty five feet in movement.
Each one of these grades is five feet, So you're
you guys are here, So you're gonna go five, ten, fifteen,
twenty five. Is that where you want to be?

Speaker 3 (53:38):
That is exactly right.

Speaker 2 (53:39):
What I want you to do his roll a stealth
check for me?

Speaker 4 (53:42):
Right, I'm scared, uh stealth.

Speaker 2 (53:49):
I think you guys think you get a plus seven
to yourself fourteen twenty one, twenty one. All right, have
some perception. You are pretty sneaky, my friend. You are
pretty sneaky, my friend. You end up getting getting close
enough and you can get a little bit a closer
view of these these dog like creatures.

Speaker 5 (54:11):
So can I like see do you like to see
what they are?

Speaker 2 (54:15):
Like? I have a picture. And if they look familiar,
that's because this is a this is a stranger things stranger.

Speaker 3 (54:26):
My god, that's dog. So I see that they're nice vulnerability.

Speaker 2 (54:34):
You see that, you see that.

Speaker 14 (54:35):
There are three dogs, dog like creatures.

Speaker 2 (54:40):
Your characters do not know what demo dogs are? Well,
you might not.

Speaker 1 (54:43):
You could roll well my character and as a.

Speaker 3 (54:46):
Fan history or on a roll.

Speaker 2 (54:53):
Either history and or I'll say nature. You can and
see if you know anything about history and nature?

Speaker 3 (55:00):
Are the same? Plus two?

Speaker 1 (55:01):
Yeah?

Speaker 2 (55:02):
History and or nature? Whichever is higher?

Speaker 3 (55:04):
Oh fuck me, it's a ten, all right?

Speaker 2 (55:07):
I know that they are stories about them. You heard
stories about them, Sierra, Did you want to roll y
see if you knew what these were, which.

Speaker 4 (55:14):
One's higher history or nature nature?

Speaker 2 (55:18):
Yep? S does not?

Speaker 3 (55:21):
Four does know nothing. I'm a dumb small dwarf.

Speaker 2 (55:27):
There are three circling creatures around this tree. They look
like they're protecting something. Okay, they have not noticed you
guys yet.

Speaker 4 (55:36):
I feel like we should take the.

Speaker 7 (55:39):
Eric Gorn, Gimli and legalless way and just each one
take one fucking go right.

Speaker 3 (55:48):
I'll go straight the middle up top. No, somebody go left, sir,
I am.

Speaker 2 (55:53):
I'll take the one off if you if you want to,
you're on the left here, if you're if you're gonna
go straight up, if you're on the left here, there's
a there's a dog here right there. There's a dog here, yep.
And there's a dog here.

Speaker 7 (56:06):
I'm gonna go. So you're already here, yep.

Speaker 2 (56:08):
If you wanna take go after this one, somebody whoever's next?
If we want to head up through here and then
the other person head up to this area. Is that
what you're proposing?

Speaker 5 (56:17):
That is what I'm proposing.

Speaker 1 (56:19):
I mean, okay, cool, all right?

Speaker 2 (56:21):
Are we are you attacking? Are you attacking?

Speaker 7 (56:24):
Now?

Speaker 3 (56:24):
I'm going to attack?

Speaker 2 (56:25):
All right? Roll for initiative. No, actually, Tabby, you get,
you get because they haven't noticed you quite yet. Go
ahead and roll your attack. You do get advantage because
you are hidden. They have not noticed you.

Speaker 7 (56:36):
Okay, well then I'm gonna go ahead and take my
short bow. Okay, to attack short bow since they haven't
noticed me, I'm silent.

Speaker 2 (56:45):
Yep, go ahead and shoot one. You do get to
roll twice and take the highest ten fifteen, fifteen to
hit that hits. Go ahead and roll your damage for
your short boat six five five damage five damage. All right,
as you as you aim up your shot, line it

(57:07):
up and it's and trace like a hunter this thing
that's pacing around this this tree, and release your arrow.
It's screams and all of the dogs are now aware.
Roll for initiative, everybody ship.

Speaker 1 (57:24):
All right, here we go. I got I got a nineteen.

Speaker 3 (57:35):
I rolled eleven initiative.

Speaker 1 (57:38):
Well it's plus I know here, I'm going to.

Speaker 2 (57:42):
Fourteen fourteen free times. Okay, see how you said eleven?

Speaker 3 (57:47):
Yes, all right, you gotta roll for that was minus
my initiative.

Speaker 1 (57:51):
So then I gotta I gotta round it up twenty.

Speaker 2 (57:54):
You have a twenty okay, yep? Okay, and then I
gotta roll for really because she's here, really, really, June,
what what is your initiative? We rode a ten twelve
for really, and then for the demo dogs.

Speaker 15 (58:10):
Say DEMI dogs, seventeen for the demo dogs.

Speaker 2 (58:19):
So they're gonna go for Bob Newby.

Speaker 4 (58:21):
We're gonna go after this one is for Bob Newby.

Speaker 10 (58:25):
Bob Newby.

Speaker 2 (58:26):
Okay, So first in the initiative track, just kidding this
in order is Rambo, you are first in the initiative track,
and then we have the demo dogs. They are next
with a seventeen.

Speaker 1 (58:42):
But I had I had a twenty.

Speaker 2 (58:44):
Yeah, I had a seventeen. So and then after that
is Tabs. You rolled at fourteen.

Speaker 3 (58:53):
I'm not a stealthy answer, and then.

Speaker 2 (58:58):
Really rolled a twelve and then Nog rolled in eleven. Correct,
All right, that is my initiative right there. And Rambow,
it is your turn.

Speaker 3 (59:17):
All right?

Speaker 1 (59:17):
What am I doing?

Speaker 2 (59:18):
You are? You are currently in this bottom.

Speaker 1 (59:22):
Planning my attack?

Speaker 2 (59:23):
Yeah, you're currently in this bottom area. There is a
dog here that is currently facing They're all facing this direction,
which is where Tabby went to the to the left,
facing that direction. But there's still one here in the middle,
and there's one to the to the left of the
tree or the right of the tree. So you may
choose to either go.

Speaker 1 (59:43):
To the one that's the one that's looking at her.
I want to try to cut it head off in
her direction, Okay, the one nearest her, So.

Speaker 2 (59:50):
It's up here. You're gonna have to pass back this
one in the middle to get to this one.

Speaker 1 (59:54):
Okay, I want to try to cut a head off.

Speaker 2 (59:56):
Okay, So you're gonna want do you want to go
to the one in.

Speaker 1 (59:58):
The middle with my sword?

Speaker 2 (59:59):
Okay? So you're gonna use your move action to move
up towards the one in the middle. Okay, and you
use your sword and go ahead and roll to attack.
So roll your d twenty and add your to hit,
which I think is a plus five for your long
sword or your great sword.

Speaker 1 (01:00:13):
Yes, here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:00:20):
Oh no, did you drop it?

Speaker 2 (01:00:22):
Oh no, shit, you all are really good at dropping dice.

Speaker 1 (01:00:27):
It rolled out of my trade.

Speaker 4 (01:00:30):
Oh no, I'm so scared.

Speaker 2 (01:00:32):
Seventeen seventeen to hit seventeen hits. Go ahead and roll
your damage.

Speaker 1 (01:00:38):
Which was the two sixes right? Two?

Speaker 2 (01:00:40):
Yeah? For your great sword, I believe it's two six
is plus three I think.

Speaker 1 (01:00:46):
Yes, ten ten total, Yes, I rolled. I rolled. My
two sixes equal ten two, six, four and.

Speaker 2 (01:00:54):
Four plus plus three yeah plus.

Speaker 1 (01:00:57):
Your damage, oh plus three, so thirteen dan damage.

Speaker 2 (01:01:00):
Okay, m m hmm. Okay. You run up towards the
one in the second in the in the middle there,
and you swipe at it, drawing blood through its shoulder
and and definitely causing a lot of pain to it.

(01:01:23):
It's still moving, but you're you're definitely causing a lot
of These things look sturdy. These things look like look
like they're just rippling with like muscle and and this
weird unnatural feeling to them. Yeah, they're they're faceless, but
their face opens up into these petal like like things
as it screeches at you and and leans forward towards you.

(01:01:44):
All right, now that goes to the demo dogs turn.
So when I am always scared, let's see this is okay.
So the first demodog, which is the one on the left,
it's going to go towards Tabby, towards Rhea, and it's

(01:02:07):
going to run up towards you, and it's going to
try to attack.

Speaker 4 (01:02:11):
With its bite.

Speaker 2 (01:02:18):
Okay, I'm gonna try to attack with his bite and
that is a seven plus. I can't do math, guys.
Twelve twelve to hit does not hit for your too,
armor class fourteen fourteen. Okay, so it it runs up
towards you and snaps snaps at you, but it doesn't

(01:02:41):
quite you know, air like Brian. Yeah, actually retreat and
it's it's it's pedal like face opens up and kind
of tries to snap at you, but it doesn't quite reach.
The second one is going to try to respond and
bite and snap at uh at Rambo over here, and
that's a two. So that doesn't hit either just but

(01:03:06):
the one on the but the one on the far
right is also going to run up towards the one
it's closest to, which is Rambo because uh, the other
the other two characters have not gone yet and they're
still at the door. So Rambo, you're going to be
engaged with two of these demo dogs at one point,
and it's going to snap at you. And that's a
natural one because I can't roll worship, so neither of

(01:03:29):
them snap at you.

Speaker 1 (01:03:31):
I like, no, I'm okay with it.

Speaker 2 (01:03:33):
It gets it, it gets I'm learning, guys, I'm learning,
all right. That's a little bit better. Oh god, that
is a seventeen hits.

Speaker 13 (01:03:46):
I think you're the army class is seventeen ye, because
because they get pack tactics and the demo dogs have
advantage on attack rolls, if if at.

Speaker 2 (01:03:57):
Least so Yeah, so that they they they seem to
be working together. So one's distracting you because that because
that first when you were attacking distracted you. This one
got a little bit of that key. Yeah, so it's going.

Speaker 1 (01:04:09):
To what is that I'm gonna shift my thimbo roll
for twenty You shoved your seven takes six? Dick? Oh dick,
but who I need a doctor.

Speaker 2 (01:04:30):
And it's kind of it's kind of gonna knock you back.
It is because now he's down to eleven and you
are now prone prone, Yes, and.

Speaker 1 (01:04:40):
I will standing up, sitting down, sitting down.

Speaker 2 (01:04:43):
You are now prone. So means on your next turn
you're going to have to stand up.

Speaker 1 (01:04:47):
I will after who just ripped?

Speaker 2 (01:04:50):
It was me?

Speaker 1 (01:04:51):
That was?

Speaker 3 (01:04:51):
That was it was her box?

Speaker 1 (01:04:54):
Oh bullshit, it's fine.

Speaker 3 (01:05:00):
Do you have a right?

Speaker 2 (01:05:04):
It is your turn?

Speaker 1 (01:05:08):
Do you have boom?

Speaker 2 (01:05:09):
Healny, I'm a fucking rogue. I know how to currently
we currently engaged so you can attack from the prone
to I'm just giving you a definition of prone, so
prone restricted movement. Your only movement options are to crawl
or to spend an amount of an amount of movement
equal to half your speed to right yourself and thereby

(01:05:31):
end the condition. So you're just using half your movement
to stand up. You're not using an action, using half
your movement to stand up, so you could stand up
without your action, or you can stay prone and have
disadvantage on your tax.

Speaker 3 (01:05:44):
No I don't, all right, so right, so do in
front of me?

Speaker 2 (01:05:50):
There is currently a dema dog in front of you?

Speaker 3 (01:05:52):
Yes, how bad is he?

Speaker 2 (01:05:55):
Is?

Speaker 3 (01:05:55):
This damaged you because.

Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
You hit it for what for? I think?

Speaker 10 (01:06:00):
No?

Speaker 3 (01:06:01):
That was one?

Speaker 4 (01:06:02):
Yeah, four four.

Speaker 2 (01:06:04):
It has an arrow sticking out of it, but it
doesn't seem to be so effected. It just looks like
it's running at you, looks angry as much as a
faceless being can look angry.

Speaker 7 (01:06:15):
Alright, So I'm gonna do double again rapier dagger one
two punch.

Speaker 2 (01:06:20):
One two punch, Go ahead for it, all right?

Speaker 4 (01:06:24):
Oh shit? Sixteen plus five is nice?

Speaker 2 (01:06:30):
One twenty one definitely hits on your first attack ahead
and really your damage.

Speaker 11 (01:06:33):
Damage, which would be six.

Speaker 2 (01:06:40):
Three nine, So nine on your first attack and then
second for the dagger going for the throat slice.

Speaker 7 (01:06:49):
Oh fuck me, twenty two twenty two damage twenty I
was like hold twenty two to hit twenty two hits.

Speaker 2 (01:06:58):
Yeah, and image is six on a D four. No,
daggers get deforced. Yeah, daggers get two five. Okay, still
still really good, Still really good. It's hurting, hurting. It
definitely looks looks like it's it's recoiled back a little bit,

(01:07:21):
and it's it's kind of kind of making some like
weird noises, weird dog like when you kick a dog,
when you kick a dog, but like, oh, don't say it,
like yeah, like a rabbit dog. Yeah, great sound effects, yep,

(01:07:42):
and that will lead us to release turn. She's next. Yeah,
I forgot the short end of the stick when it
came to uh initiative. So really, that young firecracker that
she is, she is going to run towards where Rambo
is fighting these two dogs and help him in any

(01:08:05):
way he can't, she can, and she's gonna run up
and she's going to try and uh hit one of
these one of these things. Let's see and she's she
can't quite make it up there. Oh so well she can,
she can see five, ten, fifteen, she can make it

(01:08:26):
up there, but she doesn't. She kind of stays back
a little bit and she just yells at it.

Speaker 7 (01:08:30):
You get.

Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
Get and it has to roll a saving throw. I
can see my dice mm hmm on DC and it succeeds.
It's saving throw, So it doesn't know it succeeds. That's
bad for us. No, no, it's bad for it's bad
for you guys. Well, not bad, but like it is

(01:08:54):
not gonna do as much damage as she intended it
to do, so it does re coil a little bit.
So it still feels kind of it's unused to being
talked to, like they said, In fact, it's unused to
being talked to at all. So when it hears her
yell this young git, it kind of like freaks out
a little bit and like looks in her direction and

(01:09:15):
like looks confused as as as much as something can
look confused with that face again, nine as five, it
is fourteen? What's fourteen? Let's half a fourteen? Seven?

Speaker 3 (01:09:29):
Yes, seven and a half, okay, I'm just kidding.

Speaker 4 (01:09:32):
Seven maybe, okay, all.

Speaker 2 (01:09:35):
Right, that is uh really turned and she did not
go all the way up to these two. She kind
of stayed back here a little bit. So, uh, nog
it is your turn, and you have a free path.
If you want to go up there and help Rambo.

Speaker 3 (01:09:48):
Yeah, I absolutely do want to.

Speaker 2 (01:09:51):
You're gonna run up. Yeah, you're gonna run up.

Speaker 1 (01:09:56):
Now.

Speaker 2 (01:09:56):
You can fight the one that really yelled at it's
the one on the right, or you can attack the
one that is engaged with Rambo right here. Now, if
you attack the one that's engaged with Rambo, you do
get advantage on your turn. No, you don't. You don't
because you're not flanking if he was on the opposite side,
if you like went around. Oh I swear.

Speaker 7 (01:10:19):
No.

Speaker 2 (01:10:20):
So if you want to try and flank it, okay,
where it's currently standing, you'd have to get behind it
and you can't do that. So okay, So you can
just go up and attack it if you want to
want to hit one, the one that's hitting Rambo or
the one that.

Speaker 3 (01:10:35):
Really yelled at uh, the one that really yelled at.

Speaker 2 (01:10:38):
Okay, So go up and roll roll to attack, right.

Speaker 3 (01:10:43):
Uh nineteen oh nineteen definitely hits hell. Yeah, gotta find
my die.

Speaker 8 (01:10:53):
You hit, yes, yes, six damage, six damage, yes, very nice,
very nice?

Speaker 2 (01:11:03):
All right. As you bring your axe down and you
chop through it, kind of it slices through part of
it's part of its mid section, it's still, you know,
it it rives a little bit unnaturally, and you can
tell that it uh, it doesn't like that obviously, but

(01:11:27):
it's it's still it still feels very strong at this
point in time. All Right. That brings us to the
top of the list, which is Rambo. It's your turn.
Unless there's a bone bonus action you wanted to do
to Rambo, it's your turn.

Speaker 1 (01:11:44):
I mean, these dogs are left.

Speaker 2 (01:11:46):
There's all three of them are still alive. The two
in front of.

Speaker 1 (01:11:49):
You, there's one, the one, the one that I previously attacked.
I'm gonna try to like, I'm gonna put a pin
on this guy.

Speaker 2 (01:11:55):
Okay, go ahead and roll to attack.

Speaker 1 (01:11:58):
Yeah, I've got half of his head chopped off. He's
kind of just twitching at this point, right.

Speaker 2 (01:12:03):
Well, No, he's still he's still he's still still standing
pretty much. He's definitely wounded, but he's not like falling apart.

Speaker 1 (01:12:10):
Okay, Well, let's finish this bitch. Fuck yeah, bitch, did
you get who point? Oh natural twenty? I roll in
at twenty natural twenty.

Speaker 2 (01:12:21):
Okay, So what you're gonna do for this is you're
going to roll your two D six, but you're actually
gonna roll forty six because on natural twenties, in the
way I play, we double the dice. So you're gonna
roll forty six and then you're gonna add your modifier
on top of that. So where where were you would
usually add?

Speaker 1 (01:12:42):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:12:42):
Was it two D six plus three? Now you're gonna
add forty six plus three?

Speaker 4 (01:12:46):
Yes, six plus three.

Speaker 2 (01:12:48):
So now you're gonna roll forty six and add that
three afterwards. So forty six, add them all together, and
then add three. So do the math. Yeah, it's the
hardest part of this game.

Speaker 1 (01:13:00):
Fourteen fifteen, seventeen seventeen.

Speaker 2 (01:13:03):
How do you want to do this?

Speaker 1 (01:13:05):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:13:07):
I love that.

Speaker 2 (01:13:07):
How do you want to do it?

Speaker 1 (01:13:09):
Hold on?

Speaker 2 (01:13:09):
I cannot Paul's break yep, damn it.

Speaker 1 (01:13:17):
I want to grab his head with his hand, yeah,
grab the rest of his body with his hand, pick
him up in the air, and just and throw him right.

Speaker 2 (01:13:28):
So you you sick and tired of using your great sword?
You you cut through and you can see and hulk smash,
hulk smash you. You cut enough of this guy's the
neck open where you can see it falling apart, and
as your final blow and reach forward with your hands
and you reach and rip its head off and rip

(01:13:48):
it apart, and it falls to the ground dead. All right.
That is your turn. That goes back to our demo
dog's turns. And there's two left. There's the one that's
going after me, Ria, So this first one is going
to ruh. Let's try to snap at you, Ria, and
hopefully I rolled better than the last time.

Speaker 1 (01:14:08):
I rolled, hopefully worse.

Speaker 4 (01:14:11):
Don't hurt me.

Speaker 2 (01:14:12):
Oh, I rolled, don't hurt me. Oh, twelve plus five seven,
seventeen to hit does that hit seventeen? Yeah, okay, seventeen
to hit five plus three eight eight piercing damage and

(01:14:46):
you are now prone. So it get the good snap
at you, good snap at you as it goes and
it's it's pedals. It feels weird. It's sharp, but it's
also kind of stingy. It's it's a weird feeling. It
feels like decay. You do take damage, You take care damage. Jesus,

(01:15:08):
they are they are tanky and they are unlike anything
you've ever seen before. Okay, okay, the other one is
going to attack nog because it just hit you just
hit it.

Speaker 3 (01:15:26):
So, Sierra, what'd you roll?

Speaker 2 (01:15:32):
There's a there's a seven hit.

Speaker 16 (01:15:35):
No, it misses me by a long shot. Bro Snap,
it snaps and and and draws nothing, which brings us
to Rhea's.

Speaker 4 (01:15:47):
Turn right now, the motherfucker in front of me.

Speaker 2 (01:15:54):
I'm pissed, mm hmm.

Speaker 4 (01:15:56):
But I'm prone.

Speaker 2 (01:15:57):
You are prone. You can use half of your movement
to stand up, so you would go down to whatever
half of thirty five is, so like yeah, so like
what is that fifteen plus five plus two and a half,
So like thirty you'll be like seventeen feet left something
like that.

Speaker 4 (01:16:16):
But they're literally though, right in front of me.

Speaker 2 (01:16:18):
Yeah, but you would just use your movement to stand up.
That's literally it. You're not using an action or anything.
You're just using your movement to stand up. Yeah, but
I still have an action. You still have your action
in your bonus action. All right, So I'm still doing
Reapier and this. Yeah, this is a tag team that's
been working for you. So Reaper Rapier to tag Zen Height,

(01:16:40):
get your wife together, Linda the demo dog's guts get on.

Speaker 4 (01:16:48):
And it's just the smell.

Speaker 1 (01:16:51):
That was a sound effect of a demo sound effect
effect sound effects.

Speaker 2 (01:16:55):
Right, these are just straight roles. You do not have
advantage on these right now because you are not h
you're not hidden and or no one is. Yeah around
nine to hit misses on your first stack, use your
bonus action bonus.

Speaker 4 (01:17:14):
In thirteen.

Speaker 2 (01:17:17):
Oh that just misses, just misses. Nope, you're not gonna
roll damage you guys, are you guys are kind of
in a standstill like back and forth, so like one
one will hit one of miss, one will hit one
of miss and then shoot do I mean? Then it's
really turned so really sees that you're struggling over and

(01:17:40):
because she because she hadn't walked, hadn't gone all the
way up, and she sees that Rambo and Naug are
tag teaming this last remaining down the dog over here,
she's gonna run towards you and then in an attempt
to save you, and she runs up and she is
gonna make two attacks with her hay fork. Yes, and

(01:18:01):
she's can't roll for ship.

Speaker 4 (01:18:05):
You need to die.

Speaker 2 (01:18:06):
I know I needed to this i''m gonna switch dime
switch dice you mine. First attack, she she misses, but
on her second attack, oh my god, that's nineteen. Okay,
that hits. That hits, and she plus four to that,
so that's twenty two. And then damage her damage is
one d eight plus two piercing damage with my T

(01:18:27):
eighty eight and that that is a seven.

Speaker 9 (01:18:31):
Yeah, there was seven.

Speaker 2 (01:18:33):
So really June comes up and she misses once, but
she uh, seven plus just nine, so it's nine damage.
She starts out, and then nine is what it needed.

Speaker 1 (01:18:43):
No had left.

Speaker 2 (01:18:44):
So really June runs up and she she pokes it
at once to try and get it disengaged with you,
and then she just she says, screams, no, my grandpa's
and right into the done.

Speaker 4 (01:19:00):
Down.

Speaker 2 (01:19:00):
This Dima dog is pierced to the ground her hay fork.
Hell yeah, two Dimi dogs down in one remaining, and
it is Nog's turn.

Speaker 3 (01:19:12):
This one up, Hey shut the spells?

Speaker 1 (01:19:16):
Yeah a spectro patronum.

Speaker 4 (01:19:18):
Also is this our?

Speaker 3 (01:19:20):
Is this the final boss battle?

Speaker 2 (01:19:22):
Is this all? Right? Final boss battle?

Speaker 4 (01:19:25):
From a distance?

Speaker 3 (01:19:26):
Yes, you can, I throw the druid craft.

Speaker 2 (01:19:30):
So your druid craft. Oh no, we have.

Speaker 1 (01:19:35):
Poison sword Docker on your turn, which is next, use
the poison soap on your turn?

Speaker 2 (01:19:40):
You can, we can, we can do this, all right,
So Sierra, yes, are you gonna use a spell? Are
you gonna try to hit with your ax?

Speaker 3 (01:19:48):
I'm just gonna hit it with my battle act.

Speaker 2 (01:19:49):
Do you think with your battle all to hit?

Speaker 4 (01:19:53):
You're you're up after after Dog, I'll throw it to you.
I'll throw it to you, all right?

Speaker 1 (01:20:03):
Does it? It has to depend on when I roll though? Okay, fourteen,
what do you need to heat?

Speaker 3 (01:20:16):
Is it dacy?

Speaker 2 (01:20:19):
Is it arberclass? So go ahead and rolling roll your
damage there? Oh ship oh five five damage? Yes, okay,
you hit it and uh it does some damage. It's
still standing, but it's damn it. It's it's in pain.
It's it's in pain. It's it's it's missing it's missing

(01:20:41):
one of the leaflets on its face, so it's like
wound in its head and it's still trying to tie back,
but it's gonna go.

Speaker 4 (01:20:49):
Do you have any bonus actions?

Speaker 2 (01:20:50):
Do you have here? Any of your spells? Bonus actions?

Speaker 1 (01:20:53):
Too much pressure?

Speaker 2 (01:20:54):
Hold on?

Speaker 4 (01:20:55):
It's literally. In Buffy the Vampires.

Speaker 1 (01:21:01):
Paul rub is the final boss.

Speaker 8 (01:21:05):
Shield of Faith a shimmering field surrounds a creature of
your choice within range, granting it a plus two bonus
to a C for the Yeah.

Speaker 2 (01:21:16):
Battle, But that's okay. You still hit it really hard,
and it's gonna wrap around to Rhea's turn and read, Yeah,
that is your your turn. You were after Nog. Now,
remember you were up here and you've been fighting in
this general Citycinity. Nog is currently over here fighting this

(01:21:37):
demo dog over here. Okay, so you can either use
your boat or you can you can run up and
try to tack it, or you are you gonna try
and throw your dagger?

Speaker 1 (01:21:46):
Can I throw the dagger?

Speaker 2 (01:21:48):
Me my movement? Speed?

Speaker 7 (01:21:58):
Move?

Speaker 2 (01:21:59):
You can definitely move okay?

Speaker 4 (01:22:00):
Can I move forward?

Speaker 3 (01:22:02):
Use the action with the well?

Speaker 2 (01:22:04):
Hold on?

Speaker 5 (01:22:05):
How how damaged.

Speaker 2 (01:22:06):
Is it's looking worse for wear? It's it's it's still one.
I'm gonna move one two punch okay, yeah, one two punch.
Let's let's get this all right, let's take him out.

Speaker 1 (01:22:16):
Come on?

Speaker 2 (01:22:17):
Yeah, all right, So you're gonna run forward and you're
gonna you're gonna swipe at it with your rapier and
roll for an attack. And because it's engaged with c
how you get advantage on this first attack, right, So
advantage is this. You roll the D twenty twice, take
the highest one and then add your modifier. Alright, fifteen
to fifteen hits okay, uh damage, yep, roll your damage

(01:22:40):
for your rapier, which is a one D I think
eight eight two plus three five damage on that. Al Right,
it is looking worse for where you take another pedal
off of its face and it's it screeches at you
and they open up, and now there's only three left.
All right, you take take your bonus action and with
your dagger you try to hit it again. Dagger is
what was that you said?

Speaker 1 (01:23:00):
That was?

Speaker 7 (01:23:01):
Uh?

Speaker 2 (01:23:02):
Five to hit five five damage on the last one.
Uh you go to two five yeah five?

Speaker 4 (01:23:08):
All right, dagger.

Speaker 2 (01:23:10):
Dagger hold on twenty three twenty three definitely hits you
by by a long shot D four four seven seven
damage you you? How do you want to do this again?
How do you want to do this? I just wanted
this to look. This is this is the This is

(01:23:31):
the end. Okay, the end is in sight.

Speaker 1 (01:23:34):
All three of us put our weapons together.

Speaker 2 (01:23:37):
The end is almost INSI So, uh, it's my dagger,
right yeah, all right? So my dagger.

Speaker 7 (01:23:48):
I'm going to jump forward and say, fuck you bitch,
grab my left hand to my right hand and just
drop it right into the fucking temple.

Speaker 4 (01:24:03):
Nice and take it down into the ground and pin.

Speaker 2 (01:24:05):
It nice, all right. As you take it down and
you pin it in and move the knife down and
just cut and cut till you hit the ground. It's
dead and it kind of disintegrates into the ground again.
The room quiet. The only sound you hear is this

(01:24:26):
eerie silence and kind of squirm of the vines every
now and again. You now have time to explore the
room as you as you freely can you. You can
now look around the room.

Speaker 1 (01:24:37):
I think we need to get hurt home.

Speaker 3 (01:24:39):
Well, uh, I want to take a look at the tree.

Speaker 2 (01:24:41):
We're now safe, so I would look and see. Yeah,
I want is you look at really if you're concerned
about really And she is just.

Speaker 1 (01:24:51):
I really am.

Speaker 5 (01:24:52):
She's feeling it.

Speaker 2 (01:24:56):
She's like this just took down a demo doog and
she's just like, yeah, take that motherfucker. So like she's
she's she's we've had kills. Yeah, this is this is
this is your first. Yeah, this is your first, like takedown.

Speaker 3 (01:25:11):
Like she is she's excited like she is ready to go.

Speaker 2 (01:25:16):
Would you guys like to look around the room?

Speaker 3 (01:25:18):
I want to investigate the tree tree.

Speaker 2 (01:25:20):
You're looking specifically at the tree?

Speaker 3 (01:25:22):
Yes? What would I roll?

Speaker 2 (01:25:25):
All right? So you can either you can roll, you
can look at the tree.

Speaker 1 (01:25:35):
You should chop the tree down.

Speaker 2 (01:25:37):
M Uh, I'm what you're gonna do.

Speaker 3 (01:25:40):
Uh, I want to look at it first, look at first.

Speaker 2 (01:25:42):
So you're gonna just just look at it and you
can roll investigation or perception.

Speaker 3 (01:25:49):
Okay, I'm gonna roll perception.

Speaker 2 (01:25:51):
Okay, so you had a real perception.

Speaker 4 (01:25:55):
My numbers?

Speaker 2 (01:26:00):
Uh ten ten? Yes, okay. So as you're looking at
this tree and you can see that this this this tree,
I would never do.

Speaker 1 (01:26:11):
That, dear.

Speaker 2 (01:26:11):
This tree all of its roots kind of originate from
inside of this coffin, okay, and everything kind of starts
from that localized there and from earlier. You kind of
remember old Rill was telling you about this vampire that
got killed yees around here, and you notice that this

(01:26:33):
thing that this tree is growing out of is this
coffin type box?

Speaker 8 (01:26:37):
Is there any writing on the coffin that I see
or anything like that?

Speaker 2 (01:26:41):
In in kind of there is no writing per se
except for on the very foot and it just.

Speaker 3 (01:26:50):
Just remember that's the name of the vampire.

Speaker 2 (01:26:55):
Vampire. So if you want to, if you want to roll,
if anybody wants to roll a history check to see
what they know about vampires.

Speaker 1 (01:27:01):
Yes, I got it, history plus.

Speaker 2 (01:27:04):
Yeah, everybody can roll a history check to see what
they know about vampires.

Speaker 1 (01:27:08):
Can thirteen thirteen.

Speaker 2 (01:27:14):
Zero zero yeah, yeah, three three. Okay, So you're the
best collective collectiveness. You guys kind of talk to talk
about this together, and you tell each other kind of
what you remember about vampires, and they eventually all these

(01:27:34):
these facts come together, and you guys make one train
of thought. Where vampires they sleep in these coffins. But
that's the one way to kind of end them is
in their coffins. You stake their heart in their coffin
and they remain there. That's how you kill them. It's

(01:27:55):
one of the ways to kill them, besides beheading or sunlight. Yeah.
I look at Grog and I look at Rambo.

Speaker 3 (01:28:05):
I say open it up.

Speaker 2 (01:28:09):
The tree.

Speaker 3 (01:28:10):
No, to them, is underneath the tree.

Speaker 2 (01:28:15):
In these roots. It is encased in these gnarl tree roots,
which seems to be where the tree is coming from.
It's inside the coffin.

Speaker 4 (01:28:24):
Okay, here we go.

Speaker 3 (01:28:26):
Cool.

Speaker 8 (01:28:27):
Can we cut down the tree? I was gonna say,
I have oil flasks.

Speaker 2 (01:28:31):
Okay, burn the tree.

Speaker 7 (01:28:33):
Except no, we set oil flasks around it, light them
on fire, same time, blow it up.

Speaker 3 (01:28:40):
Okay, move the coffin.

Speaker 7 (01:28:42):
The lid out of the way, and I'm ready to
go with my I'll pick up a wooden steak and.

Speaker 3 (01:28:49):
Well I have a tinder box.

Speaker 2 (01:28:51):
And if you want to go ahead and set up
you want to you want to try and just.

Speaker 3 (01:28:57):
Do you guys want to do this? You want to
load up a tree, try and kill it, burn it?

Speaker 1 (01:29:05):
Yes?

Speaker 10 (01:29:05):
Yeah, sure, so.

Speaker 2 (01:29:07):
Go ahead and just try and go ahead and set
up all of your I'm not even gonna have your
roll for this, so go ahead and set up all
your your your oil where you want to.

Speaker 7 (01:29:17):
I have seven mm hmm, your seven set up all seven?

Speaker 2 (01:29:21):
You set up all seven just around in kind of
encase in the wood, okay.

Speaker 7 (01:29:25):
Also have candles and a hood of lantern, but candles,
okay to where it's a bomb.

Speaker 2 (01:29:35):
Yeah, I'm just trying to. I was looking at the
stats for oil and how the fire works. Yeah, I
just needed to look at it.

Speaker 8 (01:29:42):
Just target oil flasks, set them up, put wicks, one
long wick, light it on fire. They all go boom,
and we gotta be ready.

Speaker 2 (01:29:57):
Okay. Is that what you know from the type of
oil that it is, It's probably gonna catch fire. It
might not explode, because this is meant this is like
lantern oil, right, Okay, so it is gonna catch fire
at the very least.

Speaker 8 (01:30:14):
Is there a way that we can just like douse
the base of the tree in the oil. Yeah, instead
of just setting up all of the you want a
gasoline this, we can just thor the oil on it.

Speaker 2 (01:30:26):
Go ahead and pour your oil around around the tree, Sierra.
Are you both using your tinder boxes?

Speaker 1 (01:30:35):
I have a torch, check and if you're pouring gas,
I can light.

Speaker 2 (01:30:37):
It all right. You have torches, all right? So you
guys are gonna set oil around all these these uh
roots and everything around this coffin. Yeahs. So we're dousing
everything and collectively with with rambos, torch and nogs, tinder
box in your tinder box, working with your oil flasks

(01:30:59):
in your your hood lantern. We're just throwing everything on there,
trying to cause the biggest fire we can. And it's
going to it's gonna catch. It's definitely gonna everything at
the roots is gonna light, and there's gonna be a
really large flash of like not quite bomb level, but
definitely like it's not going to explode just because because

(01:31:21):
just because of the type of oil and.

Speaker 7 (01:31:23):
The the does it at least give us some It's.

Speaker 2 (01:31:27):
Like it's caught. Everything is lit, Everything is a flame,
and the entire you hear the room kind of the
room kind kind of streaks everything. It doesn't like this.
It doesn't like fire. And you can tell that it
doesn't like the fire. And and I'm gonna roll some
some dice here to see how much damage it takes.

Speaker 3 (01:31:49):
I was thinking of a stranger thing, how much it's it's.

Speaker 2 (01:31:53):
Gonna take the roll it like, yes, it does.

Speaker 10 (01:32:00):
Make a day.

Speaker 1 (01:32:01):
God got up our faces.

Speaker 3 (01:32:07):
Faces don't know it's places.

Speaker 1 (01:32:12):
It's four o'clock in the morning.

Speaker 3 (01:32:14):
I'm saying, oh, this is so fun.

Speaker 2 (01:32:27):
I'm sorry twenty four hours.

Speaker 3 (01:32:30):
You still have a whole Sunday. I have worked almost twelve.

Speaker 1 (01:32:33):
It is Sunday. I don't have a whole Sunday now.

Speaker 2 (01:32:36):
So tree it yeah, you do like noon?

Speaker 1 (01:32:41):
Now?

Speaker 3 (01:32:41):
A tree a tree every Yeah, this tree, it.

Speaker 1 (01:32:44):
Is a tree.

Speaker 2 (01:32:44):
It's been a tree this whole time, this tree the
whole day. It is burning and you can tell that
that that's parts of it are starting to starting to
rip apart from itself, and and parts of the roots
that are surrounding this coffin are starting to burn back
and away at parts of the coffin. The tree is

(01:33:07):
not completely dead, but it definitely looks wounded. It definitely
looks like you could take a couple of swacks at
it and it might it might end it.

Speaker 1 (01:33:18):
Do do do do?

Speaker 2 (01:33:21):
Okay, all right, So it's it's currently still burning, guys.

Speaker 3 (01:33:28):
It looks looks and open.

Speaker 2 (01:33:30):
Coffin did not open. It is still the roots of
the tree are still coming from the inside of it.
It is less covered than it was. That is a
lot less covered than it was. The fire has burned
back some of these these integral roots at the bottom,
but the main force of the tree still sprouts from
the very center of the coffin where a chest where
the chest of a person would be. Okay, I stopped,

(01:33:53):
and anybody that has magic, so both of you two
you you have access to a magic, so you have
the druid craft. So what I'm gonna have you do.
I want both of you, both Nog and Rhea. I
want you to roll arconic checks for me, just just
just the two that have access to magic. So me, yeah,

(01:34:15):
so for you in Sierra.

Speaker 1 (01:34:17):
Hold on, I'm drinking one more beer and I'm done.

Speaker 2 (01:34:20):
And really really is also going to roll on this
because she also has access to magic.

Speaker 6 (01:34:26):
Nineteen all right, So Nog, as a cleric, you're familiar
with like these these good and evil type things and
your teachings in your in your you know godliness.

Speaker 2 (01:34:40):
You know that one of the ways a vampire dies, Yes,
and this is something you guys talked about earlier is
having a steak to the chest and decapitated in coffin.
Right now, you know from your studies, Nog, that this

(01:35:01):
is a Gothias tree. It comes to you. You've heard
this term before, a Gothias tree, and it's the type
of tree that grows from the steak of a killed
vampire that wasn't removed. It grows. I this is this
is uncommon, but it has happened in the in previous times.
It's very uncommon. It has to have had it happened
to such a dark, dark entity such as such a

(01:35:25):
nasty vampire that it just holds on the darkness holds
on and grows from within. So you know that this
tree is just the darkness that was left in the
vampire after it killed, and it used that that steak
to grow and expand and just cause more darkness. And

(01:35:47):
you know that regardless of how much you guys cut
this tree down, if you do not uproot it, it
will grow back.

Speaker 4 (01:35:55):
Oh we rooted though, you're.

Speaker 2 (01:36:00):
Gonna so the root is in the vampire's chest.

Speaker 8 (01:36:05):
So we're gonna have to get You're gonna have to
You're gonna have to crypt.

Speaker 2 (01:36:09):
So if you look at it, if you guys walk
towards it, and you guys, the fire has burned away
the opening of the crypts, you guys can kind of
see into it a little bit where the roots kind
of originate to. So you can see that near the
near the base where this if you look over into
the into the crypt, into the into the coffin, you
can see the deterioration of bones of body. This this

(01:36:31):
this dust kind of left over. The cane creature doesn't
resemble a humanoid anymore, but kind of the bones they've
kind of been you know, kind of pulled apart in
in a way where they've you know, kind of when
the muscles have gone away and the bones just kind
of fall. The vines have kind of pushed the bones away,

(01:36:53):
but they're in the center where the chest, where the
where the rib cage would wrap around it is the steak.
So if you guys look at it, you could probably
with enough teamwork, rip this out of its chest.

Speaker 1 (01:37:08):
I strength, which I have a lot, I have five of.

Speaker 2 (01:37:11):
Yeah, rip it, attack it. I kind of kind of
kind of get it out. The roots are the chest.
Just destroy the roots right there at the source. Get
that out uprooted. Yeah, So if you guys want to
try to uproot.

Speaker 1 (01:37:27):
This, I'll give it. I'll give you all three of.
