June is the month that keeps on giving here at the Great British Mickey Waffle..

You will find a section of our 5th birthday discussions released weekly simply because the show would have been FAR too long for anyone to enjoy.

Lastly, as we always like to retain a positive approach and attitude, we have all identified something we are looking forward to!

(00:23):
So we are going to go quick fireand the thing that we've done
the past, we're now looking, youknow, in terms of the great,
big, beautiful tomorrow, the thing that we are looking
forward to in our Disney future. And so I'm going to come to
Simon you first. Back to Alarni, that's what I'm
most excited for. How happened this year?

(00:46):
It is indeed, yeah. Oh gosh, I don't know what the
countdown is. No, I don't know past.
It's five. Was it 5 months 4?
No, I can find the countdown allright.
Not. Long wait, wait there.
Give me a minute, I thought. It was 144 days until you get

(01:09):
back. To the four days.
So we don't, yes. Amazing.
Oh yeah, yeah, that's how that'show long I don't.
I'm pretty sure I didn't read Alani, just the once in the
notes. Hopefully we'll get to that at
some point. Someone else might be looking
forward to Alani. I can't thank.
You, Robin, have you got that? And it's yours.

(01:32):
Mine is I'm excited to experience San Fransokyo at
Disneyland. I'm really excited to experience
that and eat a Baymax bread. That's those are two my
highlights and all my things that I'm most excited for.
Amazing, they sound both fantastic and I didn't realise
San Fran Tokyo was like whole thing, but I've had a look and

(01:54):
it is, so that'll be cool. Ben, what are you looking
forward to? Carrying on with that San
Fransoco, we're going to Disneyland next year.
So I'm so excited and we've spoken to friends over the
weekend of like, oh, you should go and do this trip or
adventures by Disney and lots ofthings like no, we're going to
do, we're going to just fly out to Anaheim, do six days and just

(02:18):
focus Disneyland, take at our own pace, do it and then come
home and just then probably bookanother trip to go back for.
Yeah, because. You will do.
That. Yeah.
Peter. Epcot without walls.
Special things. Aiming high.
Please, we need it. Medicine song, frontier, you

(02:40):
know. Last time we went it was just
full of walls and yeah, it just.It does look better.
I'm sure it does, yes. Jill, what are you looking
forward to? Well, I don't, Ben.
I don't know where you got that idea from, going to Disneyland
for a week, but. We're go.

(03:01):
We're. Going to Disneyland for a week
and our countdown, it says on here 165 days, it's actually
more like 168. We we're going in November and
we are also just going straight to Anaheim.
We're going to be there for I think 6-6 or seven nights and
just really looking forward to seeing the original home of the

(03:24):
Magic. But also, we're going to explore
a little bit of Anaheim as well.There's a, yeah, it's a packing
district, which is a where everything's been converted into
food in, in into magic clarified.
Yeah, sorry. Oh, they have all sorts of food
courts and, and restaurants and interesting things to see.

(03:46):
And yeah, we're, we're trying tolearn, learn as much as we can.
And outside the front of the building is are two giant.
Cockerels, yes. So the comedy.
The comedy. Writes itself.
Roosters, Roosters. Roosters in American Roosters.

(04:07):
Roosters, yes. We're still.
We're still talking about talking.
We're talking about big cock, yeah.
Big chickens, Yeah. Can I once again apologise to

(04:27):
the person on the M6 who's just crashed their car as a result of
listening to this show? I keep having to drop this into
the show every now and again. Guys, after five years, I would
have thought that, you know, we,you know, we have to say that
we're not liable for the hilarious laughter and occasion
and occasional slutty dumb that comes just innocent sort of

(04:51):
Disney chat and things like that.
But I'm I'm with Simon. I, I was struggling with the
packing when you got to the whenyou got to the rest of it, I
said I'm. Done for.
Oh my. Oh, let's move on quickly before
I lose it. What was?
What are you looking forward to?I am looking forward to the

(05:14):
Disney Fantasy, our cries that were going on in September.
It's. 4. Years in the making, scuppered
by COVID, so it'll be good to finally gone there.
Yeah, big long cruise sounds great.
Oh yeah. So.
I'm going to. I'm going to bat it back to you
first. What's your OK?
I did wonder about going first. So I am looking forward to

(05:34):
experiencing a couple of things this year, later in the year
that I haven't done before. So one of them is to fly into
Miami Airport for the 1st. Time since I.
Hated it, can't wait for that. Yeah, I might have to vlog that
just because how much you despise it, but we are actually

(05:55):
going to spend a couple of nights at Vero Beach, having had
the show about Vero last year I think it was.
So we are going to go and do Vero for a couple of nights,
which is amazing. And yes, I did put Ailani on my
list because in the future that is somewhere that we had our
trip booked. It didn't happen due to COVID.

(06:16):
Boo. It is going to go back on the
back on the trip list in the near future, definitely with,
you know, bit of San Francisco, bit of Paso Robles, maybe a bit
of a bit of Aulani and perhaps some Anaheim.
That's. A a bit of an epic trip.
Great trip, Claire. It's a trip that we had

(06:36):
completely booked and had littleand it was for counselling also.
It's definitely still there. The architecture for that trip
is still there. So it's going to happen
definitely. And John, I'm glad you're going
off and I can't. Make the countdown after five of

(06:58):
the most tumultuous years of certainly my family's life, my
life, etcetera. I've gone from packing in a
career that was killing me, retrained for a career during
COVID and actually started off as a self-employed drama
instructor, then got cancer and still did all of this

(07:20):
throughout. My countdown is 80 days as it
stands as we're recording right,80 days, 11 hours, 22 minutes
and 21 minutes and 58 seconds. He's counting.
We're going back to Florida and it's going to be the most
emotional and the most amazing thing to, to go back to a place

(07:42):
that we love and go back to a kind of a little bit of a kind
of revisit when, when everythingwas perfect and when everything
wasn't quite as just different as it is now.
And, and that for me is, is justsuch a, an amazing feeling and a
proud feeling. And I think for anyone, if

(08:05):
you've not been to your happy place for such a long time,
because it is magical, it doesn't matter how much I'm
having to pay for this, which isreally rankling.
But I'll leave that out of it until I leave that out of it
until I come back. But I must admit, I did have a
have saved. Was it at least 35% on me car in
car hire this week? So I'm in a slightly better

(08:26):
place about that. I've just got.
Yeah. It's just going to be the most
incredible feeling just going back and, and being able to meet
people that we've met online over these five years.
And, and that's, and that's a bit that really is the most
exciting part of this. Claire, I know you and your
family are out at the same time. We're going to share this, We're

(08:49):
going to bring, we're going to bring our boys home.
And that's and that's the that'sthe little bit that's quite
bizarre because you're going outwith morgue when this when this
show goes out and all this summer.
If if you haven't listened to the mid month, please go and do
so. Morgue is going to be in Adcott.

(09:12):
And. Cool mopping the sticky floor,
as can we. Be inside in air conditioning.
Air conditioning, right, Josh? Josh isn't, he doesn't give us
stuff because that's, he's used to working outside there anyway,
and he's thinking he's going to come back with the greatest of
his life. But I, I didn't like, I didn't

(09:34):
like to burst out bubbles and tell him he's going to be in a
kitchen somewhere frying chips and stuff.
But hey, we'll get to that. Yeah, but do you know something,
all the dreams that we, I think we've both had and we've both
shared as parents were able to go and be part of their journey.
And, and that for me is going tobe the most amazing thing.

(09:57):
And just to go and see your own kid in a cast member uniform,
it's going to be a real experience.
And then to, to actually have a little bit of time afterwards
to, Yep, to go and experience the cornhole toss competition
that will happen thanks to Carrie.

(10:18):
We're, we're going to just have a bowl.
It's just going to be amazing. And, and if, if you listen to
this show for the very first time, well done to you because
actually you've got to like nighon two hours into it.
So if it's your first show, if it's your first show, well done.
That's all I'd say. But put it on the calendar for
September, October, November, because actually what we're

(10:41):
going to do over the summer, we'll sort of add the fuel into
what we talk about in the future.
And just before I move on, I would just like to say a massive
thank you, Ben, you mentioned what was that 11,000 hours of
podcast creation that we've, we've actually done, we've got,
we've got people who've listenedto this from the very beginning,

(11:02):
from the very beginning and, andwhat I would like.
And we apologise to my first few.
Shares. I would like to say to them a
massive thank you because actually they've stuck with us
from for five years. We love the fact that you've
actually given us the in a way that the, I wouldn't say
permission, but the actual inspiration to go and do some of

(11:23):
the other things that we've doneover five years.
The the wafflers assemble live, but also the wafflers Wednesdays
that we've actually we're on YouTube every single week about.
I actually think that it's meantso much to all of us, but also
if you like, I say, if you're listening for the first time, go
and check out some of the thingsthat we've we've we've done

(11:44):
before as well, because this hasbeen the most amazing five
years. It really has irrespective of
everybody's health and everybody's well-being.
This has been an absolute joy tohave actually, you know, got to
got to five years. How did that happen?
You know, it's a blink of a It'sa blink of an eye in some, In
some respects, yeah. It was only a few months ago

(12:06):
when we did the 100th, the 100thepisode, and we finally got to
meet each other all in person. All on.
A day and it was incredible. It would have a lot sooner if
COVID hadn't happened, but it's yeah, it's been, it's been an
incredible journey and I can't wait to see what we do in the
future. In the next five years.
Yeah. Can I also just pick up on one

(12:27):
thing as well, That thing I think at the very beginning of
the show and it it is like beingpart of a family.
And. And that's.
Yeah, as my mum, my mum does watch this.
So I need to be careful what I say, you know?
But actually, I talk to you guysmore often than talk to me, Mum,
Yeah. Right.

(12:47):
Yeah, yeah. And I think that that's that's
a, a pertinent place to leave the show.
It has been it's gone long. I'm so sorry.
I'm this is This is why I'm not allowed to lead any or be in
charge or chair or however you want it.
This is why I'm not you're. Just trying to get out of doing
it again, Claire. That's.

(13:08):
All indeed the proceedings beingdreadful at it and I'll just
allow people to talk. But you know, we are so
fortunate and proud to be able to do this for everyone to
listen to. If you listen to it for the

Drop us and know John and I are around.
We'll probably have a point for you in the what?

You can be on. It'd be like.
It's like. Yeah, on that happy note, we've

(14:39):
broken John final time tonight. With a happy ending.
Yeah. Robbie, brilliant.

ridiculous questions tonight. Thank you for your segment on

with you in the near future. And there is only one thing left
to say. See you real soon now my wheels
in motion. And my.
