Extremely simple to obtain sight of departed persons write in
from from files of telephone applications, driving licenses, thoting this,

Speaker 4 (22:09):
Then say listen.
Speaker 10 (22:12):
I'm very sorry, then, Gregor, he is frightened. Short you
know I'm frightened now bad. The detective Chan comes a
little too close for comfort. I try to stop him.
I think maybe I take care of miss Morris in
time I was wrong.
Speaker 7 (22:30):
Now I take.
Speaker 3 (22:31):
Care of him.
Speaker 8 (22:32):
Gregor around to let anybody tell what they know about Gregor?
Speaker 4 (22:35):
Damn can't let you tell?
Speaker 10 (22:37):
Ch double cross give me that gun, crazy man, mister.
Speaker 4 (22:46):
Gregor, what.
Speaker 3 (22:48):
Rady sank behind you is number one son also concealed
have been thrested, mister Gregor with last minute assistance of
mister Temple. Stop can't please.
Speaker 4 (23:00):
I like Cavin Gregor, you, but do what Pop says.
Speaker 3 (23:06):
You were right, inspect right.
Speaker 7 (23:08):
I only half believe you when you told me to
this topmost I was right. He'll keep your word inspected right.
I will buffy Charles the murder.
Speaker 3 (23:15):
This person's iron word will be kept. Mister Temple will
receive justice for participation in confidence trick no more. Mister
Jermitrick Cregor will be sold beneficiary of trialph for murder
you that smart man, for praying you were indeed frightened.
(23:42):
Shruff very shortly will be executed. Struff that truly it
is written fear follows crime and his punishment for same
(24:09):
who they got a.
Speaker 4 (24:12):
Pretty good run over a vacation on the papers, pop Ah.
Speaker 3 (24:17):
Father instructed son to read papers.
Speaker 4 (24:20):
For news, not ancient history. Stragger was in with Temple
mm hmm. So when he found that we were on
the trail, he tried to cover.
Speaker 3 (24:29):
Up precisely as this person suspected Strap after murder of
miss Morris. Was only persons who knew intention to question saying.
Speaker 4 (24:40):
Yes, it could have been Temple. He was with her
just before we came.
Speaker 3 (24:45):
Misters Temple only annoyed and frightened at demand of miss
Morris for more money, put her often, then attempted to
leave town.
Speaker 4 (24:56):
There's two things you want to know, pop First, what
that blood on Inky's hands?
Speaker 3 (25:03):
Very simple? Your father secretly dusted envelopes containing collected money
in Shruft's office with antresine dye anthrosine. What acrassine invisible
dust which turns blood red on contact with water used
often in counter seait pas ah.
Speaker 6 (25:26):
See and Ikey got his hands wet on the doorknob.
Then when he picked up the dusted envelopes, the dice
pain his hands red precisely.
Speaker 3 (25:36):
First question answers for her.
Speaker 4 (25:38):
But here's a second.
Speaker 6 (25:40):
In the paper, it says that Missus Days discovered the
forgery and assisted you in catching the criminal. Now that's
stretching the truth. Pop, why'd you do it?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
Ah? Missus Day's suffered because of crime, entire life's mass
now has profited from solution of second crime, has achieved
standing in community and honor in eyes.
Speaker 4 (26:10):
Of friends who she won't try to run away anymore precisely,
and she has learned very little lesson of Manchus, who.
Speaker 3 (26:20):
Said throuble is like man's shadow, can never run fast
enough to escape either. Before this person has further words
(26:45):
with you, here is an answer with wealth of wisdom.
(27:12):
Before saying good night, Charlie chan would like to leave
you few words of ancient philosopher. Just when we are
giving up seeky, it's time to find good night. Thank you.
Speaker 2 (27:44):
Be sure to join us next week at the same
time for the adventures of Charlie Chack, based on the
famous character created by Older Beggars. This is a Grace
(28:10):
Gibson radio production produced by REDG. Johnston.
Speaker 1 (28:20):
Welcome back, and if you're listening in the morning, you
already learned your new word for the day, schwroff. Now,
the meaning of shroff, which there's some indication of Chinese
Indian origin, but also some Arabic connections, is a banker
or money changer, although the lending part isn't the most
(28:44):
prominent thing that people think of, because as money changers
they needed to test the purity of coins to make
sure they weren't counterfeit. And schwff is not only a noun,
it is a verb, and the verb form of shroff
was the dictionary dot Com word of the Day on
(29:05):
April fifteenth of this year, with the meaning to test
coins to find out the purity of the metal. So
if you're measuring the purity of a silver coin, for example,
you are said to be shroffing it. Now, the other
thing I'd note is that I have to admit, at
first I didn't care much for Chan's attempt to get
(29:27):
the mother to continue to stay in San Francisco, because
my thought is that sort of decision is very personal
and that you can't tell people to stay and it's
not necessarily indicated. But I think you have to interpret
it through the lens of his time and ours. We
(29:48):
are much less tied to a sense of place than
people were in the early parts of the twentiethifth century.
We are far more likely in the twenty first century
to relocate for reasons far less severe than having a
son involved in a notorious crime and killed. Moving away
from somewhere you'd lived all your life would be a
(30:11):
more radical change in that era. And give the inspector credit.
He went out of his way to make it easier
for her to continue to stay. All right, well, now
we're callment feedback, and then I have a comment from
Mechanics sixty six regarding the episode Escape Musician. Thanks for
(30:33):
clearing that up about the Australian accident. I thought I
was imagining it. I thought the guy the fairy sounded
British as well.
Speaker 3 (30:42):
Could be.
Speaker 1 (30:43):
There were not only Australian actors in Australian radio, there
were also American expats and I think also some British
expats as well. All right, well, now it's time to
thank our Patreon supporter of the day. Thank you to Christine,
Patreon supporter since November twenty twenty three, currently supporting the

Speaker 3 (31:31):
Well you huh off?
Speaker 11 (31:32):
You're beaten, pet, aren't you?
Speaker 3 (31:33):

Speaker 11 (31:34):
Inside, Nikki, I'm strong, I'm Denny. I was going to
invite you in anyway.
Speaker 2 (31:40):
Georgia Gray, Nikki, she's dead.
Speaker 11 (31:42):
Where it came to me? How you closed our eyes?
I wish it'd have been me.
Speaker 2 (31:46):
Maybe you got there ahead of me, Nikki. Maybe you
weren't dancing, saw Georgia in a pleace. You never thought
you'd be killed her because she was getting away from you.
Speaker 11 (31:53):
Oh you die it, Danny, awful daya. No one gets
away from me, not even the debt right into the den.
I want you to meet my mother. She'll be heard.
I don't show up my friends.
Speaker 2 (32:06):
All right, Nikki, I wouldn't want her to be.
