Hey Gritty Friend! Welcome Back!

   Today we are talking about all things concerning PERSEVERANCE!  I had a really challenging week last week and perseverance came up over and over as the way to move forward.  It feels like sometimes we forget to put our self-control into action and regulate ourselves so we can delay the need for instant gratification.  Some of the best things in life are worth waiting for - I mean how many times have we heard this? 

   Have you struggled with wanting something and then when it didn't succeed the first or second time, you gave up? 

    This is not only good for us adults to hear but also for our children.  They have so much at their fingertips - they forget what it was like to wait for dial-up modem, use rotary phones, listen to music on a record player, have to wait for the VHS tape to rewind, wait until your friends got home before you could talk to them, how to unwind the long telephone cord that got tangled....I could go on.  We had to have patience.  When we don't have perseverance, our long term visions don't become the reality.  We give up. 

   You need this self regulating tool to get to those long term goals.  If you feel like you have lost the ability to wait, don't worry, you can get it back.  You just need to practice again.  You know what I am about to say - It's like riding a bike.  You don't forget - you just need practice.  

   So let's get practicing!  In this episode, are 7 tips to getting that moxie back.
