Newly elected President Donald Trump has vowed to close the Department of Education.  Though the Republicans will soon have unified control in Congress, Trump will have a hard time getting the 60 Senate votes needed to completely abolish the agency.
With that, we had regular guests JR McCarthy, a public school teacher, and Rich Del Valle, a Board Director for a Catholic High School in to discuss the ramifications of of a Federal retreat from education in favor of individual state oversight.
