Speaker 1 (01:04):
Today we're going to
do something a little bit
different.
We're going to have a lot offun doing it.
We're going to read from a book, but it's not going to be, this
week the Power of theSubconscious Mind, which we've
been doing for the past nineweeks.
So what we're going to do todayis we're going to read from an
incredible book, and we're onlygoing to read one chapter, and
then next week we'll go back tothe Power of the Subconscious
(01:26):
Mind.
The book that I've chosen forthis week was written in 1910 by
an author named Wallace Waddles, and the book is called the
Science of Getting Rich.
Most people think of gettingrich as financially secure.
You can also be rich inhappiness, peace, love, kindness
(01:49):
, well-being.
Rich can be associated withmany different things, and while
it does apply to money, it canalso apply to many other things.
So when I read what we're goingto read today, and as I break
it down with you, I want you tothink of it from that
perspective.
Think of it not only aboutmoney, but about all those other
(02:09):
areas that you can be wealthyin as well.
The book the Science of GettingRich was written and ultimately
used for the movie the Secret, which was watched by millions
and millions of people.
So we're going to break thisdown.
If you just listen to thisepisode over and over for the
(02:33):
next three months, every singleday, and you apply what you
learned in this, I promise youyou will have incredible results
.
If you practice doing what itsays in here, you can't just
read it, you can't just listento it, you've got to do it,
you've got to apply it in yourlife.
(02:54):
And it's the application.
That is everything.
One simple note I took thechapter and I tweaked it a
little bit to make it easier todigest.
Now, if you were reading thisalone, it's not so easy to
digest.
However, that's the beauty ofme being here, because I've
studied this, I've learned itand I want to teach it to you in
(03:17):
a level that you really get itand that you can understand it,
because for me to understandinformation, I have to break it
down that way for myself.
So let's jump in.
We're going to read paragraphby paragraph until we finish
this chapter.
The previous, also called divineintelligence, universal
intelligence, a higher power.
(03:54):
It doesn't matter what you callit.
You're going to see a referenceto Jesus in here.
This doesn't mean that you haveto follow Jesus and Jesus'
teachings.
We're going to look at this asa higher power.
Again, it doesn't matter whatyou call it, just make it work
for you.
(04:14):
And instead of allowing a nameor a word to distract you from
the messages that are here thatyou can use in your life to
learn and get better and grow, let's just use a word that's
going to work for us.
So as we move forward, again,we're going to see these words.
Don't worry about it, just makeit work for you.
(04:35):
Okay, so it's again.
It said we explained how tocommunicate your desires to this
higher power, the source of allthings.
To do this effectively, youneed to connect with God, divine
or universal intelligence.
Again, all the same thing, thisconnection is crucial.
(04:55):
So let's pause for a second.
Connecting to that source iscrucial for us to get the wealth
that we want to have in ourlife Back to the book, and we'll
explore how to achieve it,guiding you toward the perfect
mental unity with God, divine oruniversal intelligence.
(05:16):
This connection is achievedthrough gratitude.
Let's pause for a second.
Gratitude is one of the bestthings that you, myself and
anyone else, can do to connectto that higher power.
When we show gratitude, we showour thankfulness for everything
(05:39):
that we have in our life.
I recently told this story to aclient and I want to take the
moment to tell it to you.
A client, and I want to takethe moment to tell it to you,
think about for a moment.
You're a parent, you have achild, and you go out and you
(05:59):
buy this really nice gift forthe child and you give the gift
to the child and the child takesit and tosses it into the
corner and shows no appreciationfor it whatsoever.
My question to you is how soonwould you go out and buy another
gift for your child if theytreated that gift the way that
they did?
The answer that I hear often isI wouldn't go out and buy a
(06:22):
gift anytime soon.
And then I asked why?
And the answer was because theyshowed no gratitude, they
showed no appreciation, theyshowed no thankfulness for the
fact that this gift was given tothem.
And what I want you to thinkabout here is that higher power.
Imagine that higher power islike a parent to us and that
(06:46):
higher power provides us withamazing things to us.
And that higher power providesus with amazing things.
It provides us with electricity, with a house, with heat and
air conditioning and all theother things with our health,
with our well-being, with ourability to think, see, hear,
smell, taste, touch all of thosethings we have.
(07:06):
And I want to ask you a questionhow often do we take that for
granted?
Well, when we take it forgranted and we don't show
thankfulness for all the thingsthat we have, what do you think
the chances are that that higherpower would want to give us
more good things to celebrate inour life?
And the answer is they wouldn't.
(07:28):
Just like we wouldn't want togive more to our child right
away, that higher power doesn'twant to give to us.
So the best thing that we cando to connect to that higher
power is to start showinggratitude for every single thing
that we have in our lives, literally every single thing,
because we have so much.
(07:48):
In other words, if you aren'tgiven another thing in your
lifetime, you've been given somany gifts and you have so much
that it's truly remarkable Again, just your health and
well-being, just the fact thatall of your organs in your body
are operating.
You're breathing, you're seeing, you're hearing, you're
smelling, you're tasting.
(08:09):
Body are operating.
You're breathing, you're seeing, you're hearing, you're
smelling, you're tasting, you'retouching, you're thinking All
of those things are miraculousand yet we take it for granted
until sometimes we lose one ofthose things.
So, for example, if you hurtyour hand and it's hurt, and
then you start trying to pickthings up and you realize, well,
I can't pick it up, boy, Ireally have appreciation for the
(08:32):
ability to use my hand, andthen when you're finally your
hand is healed and you're ableto pick things up and do the
things that you want with yourhand, you have so much gratitude
for it.
What we want to do is not haveto lose that gift to realize how
grateful we can be for it.
We want to appreciate the gift,we want to be thankful for the
gift and we want to showgratitude for that gift on a
(08:56):
consistent basis.
Does it make sense?
Great, okay, so let's go backto the chapter.
So again, how do we make thisconnection to that higher power
through gratitude?
Well, it's going to give usthree steps to do that.
First, believe there's oneintelligent power, so there's
one source where all things comefrom.
(09:18):
It creates everything.
Second, believe this powerwants to give you what you
desire.
Let's pause for a second there.
We want to believe that thispower wants to give us what we
want to desire, because if wedon't believe that and we put
out something in opposition tothat and show a lack of
(09:41):
appreciation for what we alreadyhave, again that power probably
won't want to give us more tobe thankful for in our life.
So we want to believe thispower wants to give you what you
want to desire.
And third, connect with it,with that power, with God, with
(10:02):
divine connect with it byfeeling deep gratitude.
And again we're going to getinto what does that mean to feel
deep gratitude?
We'll get there as we moveforward.
This next paragraph that we'regoing to read is huge and I want
you to think about this in yourlife.
When it comes to money, it saysmany people struggle
(10:24):
financially despite livingreally good lives, because they
lack gratitude.
They receive gifts from God,but they disconnect by not
acknowledging them.
So let's pause for a second.
Let's think about what it justsaid there.
How many times have you gottena sale, or you've gotten a new
(10:51):
client or money magically camein somehow to you?
How much thanks and how muchgratitude did you offer based on
the fact that that came in?
When you receive your paycheckon a weekly basis.
Do you show gratitude for that?
In other words, if thatpaycheck went away tomorrow,
(11:14):
what would happen?
How would you deal with it?
You'd have to find another job.
Suddenly, income would stopcoming in.
But because it's consistent,because it's happening week
after week, we have the tendencyat times to take it for granted
, and what it's saying here isthat we can no longer do that.
If we want financial well-being, if we want financial richness,
(11:37):
if we want richness in otherareas of our life, then we have
to show gratitude for all thethings that we currently have.
Now let's go back to the book.
The closer we are to the sourceof wealth, the more we receive.
Let's pause there.
The closer we are to the sourceof wealth, what is the source
(12:00):
of wealth?
God, divine, higher power.
The closer we are to the sourceof wealth, the more we receive.
So the way that we get close tothe source is how?
Through gratitude.
So the more gratitude we show, the better.
A grateful soul is alwayscloser to God than an ungrateful
(12:25):
one.
So that connection to God, thatconnection to source, that
connection to the power, when weshow that gratitude, it's like
we're plugging into the wall andwe're getting the electricity
that we need.
I remember when I was doing atraining out in Los Angeles,
this woman got up and told thisgreat story.
She said I take my vacuumcleaner and I push it all around
(12:51):
the house and I'm expecting itto clean up the house.
Yet I look and then, all of asudden, I've spent 20, 30
minutes vacuuming and I realizedthat the plug wasn't plugged
into the wall to give itelectricity, to turn it on, so
that the power was running, sothat the suction would occur and
the rugs would actually getclean.
(13:11):
How many of us do the samething?
We're running about our dayhoping that this higher power,
the source, will have goodthings in our life, but we're
not plugged in, we're notconnected to the source because
we're not showing gratitude forall the things that we already
have in our life.
(13:33):
All right, let's go back to thebook.
When good things happen, themore grateful we are, the more
good things we will receive andthe faster they will arrive.
Gratitude brings us closer tothe source of these blessings.
Let's pause.
When good things happen, themore grateful we are, the more
(13:57):
good things we receive.
How do we apply this in ourday-to-day life.
Let's use a couple examples.
How about when your childrenget home from school, from
college, or come over to thehouse?
They drove over and they madeit here.
There was no car accident.
They're healthy, all is well.
(14:18):
When they walk in that door, doyou ever pause for a moment and
give gratitude and thanks forthe fact that they made it to
the house?
So again, it's showinggratitude for these common daily
things that occur.
I go up to the refrigerator, Iopen the refrigerator door, I
look inside the refrigerator andthere's tons of food in there.
(14:39):
Do you pause when you see thatfood in your refrigerator and
say, god, I am so thankful, thank you so much for providing
me the necessary food andnutrients so that I can live a
healthy life and I don't have tostruggle to eat like so many
people do?
Let's use one more example.
(15:02):
How about when you're going tothe bathroom?
How many people don't have theluxury of being able to use the
bathroom in a normal fashion?
How many people have a bagconnected to them that they
either have to urinate or movetheir bowels into and walk
around with that attached tothem?
How often when you're going tothe bathroom, are you giving
(15:26):
thanks for what you just did, which was go to the bathroom.
How about when you flush thetoilet?
When you flush the toilet andeverything gets flushed down and
the plumbing system's workingand you have running water.
How many times are you thankfuland say thank you so much for
giving me the gift of having aworking toilet and plumbing?
(15:47):
There are so many other peopleout there that don't have the
luxury of having a workingtoilet and plumbing.
There are so many other peopleout there that don't have the
luxury of that.
There are people that have todig a hole in the ground and go
to the bathroom there and coverit up with dirt.
There are people that do nothave toilet paper.
Again, these are everyday commonthings and if we're grateful
(16:45):
for those things, do you thinkwhen we get some bigger things
that show up in our life, wemight be thankful for those?
Let's go back to the book.
If the idea of gratitudeconnects you to the universe,
creative energies, in otherwords, god or higher power or
divine intelligence if this ideaof gratitude connecting you to
(17:09):
that source is new, consider itcarefully.
The good things you havereceived came through following
certain laws.
Gratitude will guide youtowards how things come to you,
keeping you aligned with thecreative thought and preventing
you from competitive thinking.
Let me pause here.
(17:30):
Gratitude will guide youtowards how things come to you
and the key is keeping alignedwith creative thought and
preventing you from competitivethinking.
Let's use it in a coupleexamples here.
You're scrolling on socialmedia.
You see one of your friendsjust got this brand new house.
(17:51):
How many of you at times get alittle bit envious, maybe a
little bit jealous, that, well, how come I can't get a house
like that?
How come I can't get a new carlike that?
How come I can't go on vacationlike that?
We can go on autopilot and feelthose feelings.
Or we can connect to gratitudewhen we start thinking this way,
(18:14):
when we start thinking aboutall the things that they have
and that we don't have.
That's competitive thinking.
That's why can't I be like them?
Rather, what if we weregrateful for them?
What if we said to ourselves Iam so grateful that my friend is
able to go on a vacation, I amso grateful that they're going
(18:39):
to have some things that theyreally want in their life.
I'm grateful that they havethis, I'm grateful that they
feel good, I'm grateful thatthey're excited.
And what if, when we see thathouse that they just moved into
or that they're moving into, wepause and reflect on our own
house and say I am so gratefulfor the house that I already
(19:03):
have, I am so grateful to havethis house, I'm so grateful for
my family that's in it, I'm sograteful for my health.
And we think from gratitude.
Do you notice that when you'rethinking from gratitude, that
you will not be able to havecompetitive thinking?
You will not be competingagainst anyone else.
(19:24):
You'll be thankful for them andwhat they have, and you'll be
thankful for you and what youhave.
Now let me ask you this whenyou're thinking on that
frequency of gratitude, what doyou think you might experience
more of in your life?
You're going to experience morethings to be grateful for,
(19:48):
because if you're in gratitudeconsistently, more things will
show up that you can be gratefulfor.
And if you don't believe me,try it.
I've seen it happen with a lotof clients.
They change from thiscompetitive thinking how am I
going to keep up?
And all these other salespeopleare producing at a higher level
than me, and when they stopworrying about everyone else and
(20:10):
they're grateful for the factthat they can help their clients
and they have what they have, and that they can help their
clients and they have what theyhave, and that they're just
gonna keep doing the best tohelp other people.
Guess what happens to theirultimate results?
Of course, they always getbetter because they're thinking
from a place of gratitude.
They're not doing competitivethinking, they're doing creative
(20:31):
thinking.
In fact, when you're in thisplace of gratitude, ideas,
thoughts, people will beattracted into your life that
are on that same frequency, thatsame feeling, that same
vibration of gratitude, and youwill experience more good things
in your life.
Seems a little bit nutty whenyou think about it.
(20:53):
Can that really work?
And the answer is if you do it,it will work.
You got to do the work for itto work, and the work is.
I'm going to choose from now onto really think about all the
things that I can be gratefulfor on a consistent basis, and
when we wrap this up at the end,I'm going to give you a little
process on how you can do that.
(21:14):
All right, let's go back to thebook.
Only gratitude can keep yourfocus on unlimited source of
everything.
Only gratitude can keep youfocused on God, the divine,
preventing the harmful belief inscarcity.
There's a law of gratitude thatyou must follow to achieve your
(21:34):
goals.
Let's continue on.
This law states that action andreaction are always equal and
opposite.
Let's pause here.
There's a law that sayswhatever action I take, whatever
I think, whatever I feel, whatever I put out into the
(21:57):
world, there's going to be anequal and opposite reaction.
Let's put it into an example sothat you can understand it.
Real simply, if I'm upset atyou and I come to you and I
start screaming at you, what doyou think?
The chances are that thereaction will be a very polite
(22:18):
and happy reaction.
Well, based on this law, whatever I put out is going to
come back.
So, if I'm putting out anger, yelling and screaming, there's a
very good likelihood that whatthat is exactly what's going to
come back.
If I put out lack I have a lackof money, I have a lack of
(22:38):
well-being and I am consistentlyfocused on the lack what do you
think, based on this law ofequal and opposite reaction I'm
putting that out there what'sgoing to come back?
Well, it's going to be lack andlimitation.
So let's use this law to ouradvantage and let's put out good
(23:01):
, let's put out gratitude, let'sput out kindness, let's put out
thanks, and when we do that,we're going to be seeing some
amazing changes in our life.
If you just did this one thingand did it at a level that was
really high, meaning you'redoing it on a very consistent
basis, you will see your lifechange.
(23:23):
Gratitude is the key tofinancial wealth.
Gratitude is the key to wealth, happiness, well-being, peace,
love, kindness everything wemust come from a place of
gratitude.
Let's go back to the book.
When you express gratitude toGod, you release energy.
(23:44):
This energy reaches its targetand the reaction is an immediate
movement towards you.
Draw near to God and he willdraw near to you.
It's a psychological truth.
This just goes back to what wewere just saying Whatever we put
out, it will easily andeffortlessly come back to us.
(24:06):
So, instead of putting outnegativity, instead of putting
out blaming, complaining andmaking excuses, maybe we take
responsibility.
We look in the mirror, we lookat all the things that we could
be grateful for and we put thatout into the world and we'll
start to notice things changingin our lives.
Back to the book.
(24:26):
Strong, consistent gratitudecreates a strong, continuous
reaction from divine, god,universe.
The things you desire will movetoward you.
Let me repeat that the thingsyou desire will move toward you.
Why?
Because of the consistentgratitude.
(24:46):
It creates a strong, continuousreaction from God and therefore
things you desire will movetoward you, god, and therefore
things you desire will movetowards you.
You can't have much powerwithout gratitude, because it
connects you to power.
So again, remember if you'refeeling down, if you're feeling
(25:06):
anxious, if you're feelingworried, if you're feeling doubt
, if you're feeling anxiety, ifyou're feeling any of those
negative feelings, the bestthing that you can do is start
to really think about gratitude.
Now I want to give you a greatexample of this.
There's a picture on my deskand on that picture is a group
(25:27):
of friends that I just saw at abar mitzvah that I went to.
These are all friends that Iwent to college with years and
years ago.
They're good guys, and I canlook at that picture and I can
say, wow, I'm really gratefulfor those guys.
That's surface level gratitude.
Or what I could do instead is Icould look at that picture and
(25:49):
I can look at an individual inthat picture and say to myself I
am so grateful for that guyindividual in that picture and
say to myself I am so gratefulfor that guy.
I remember when he flew outwith a one-way ticket to
Michigan so that he could helpme and drive back with me from
Michigan to New Jersey.
I'm grateful for that guy.
He means a whole lot to me.
And then I look at the nextperson in the picture and I say
(26:11):
I'm grateful for this personbecause and I go on and on Now,
where am I going to experiencemore gratitude?
In the surface level oh, I'mgrateful for these guys in the
picture or by really digging inand asking myself why am I so
grateful?
What is it about that personthat I'm grateful for?
You see the difference.
And the more that we connectthat way, in a deeper way,
(26:34):
really experiencing thegratitude we have for that
person, the more that we connectthat way in a deeper way,
really experiencing thegratitude we have for that
person, the more connected weare to God divine and the more
we're going to have in our life, the more future blessings we
have.
In fact, if we go back to thebook, the next sentence says it
Gratitude isn't just aboutfuture blessings.
Without it, you'll likely becomedissatisfied with your current
(26:57):
situation.
When you focus on what you lack, your mind takes on the form of
those negative things.
Pause, this is really important.
Without gratitude, we're goingto become dissatisfied.
Without gratitude, we're goingto look at the things that we
don't have and we're going tobecome dissatisfied because we
(27:20):
don't have them.
We're going to look at the bankaccount and say why don't I
have more money?
Why can't I go on vacation?
Rather than thank you God forproviding me with another
paycheck, thank you God forgiving me the amount of money
that I have in the account rightnow.
If I didn't have that, I'd bein a lot of trouble.
(27:40):
If I didn't have that, I couldbe out on the street, homeless,
like some of the people that areactually out there struggling
just to stay warm.
I am so lucky, I am so grateful, I am so appreciative.
When we come from that positiveplace of gratitude, what we
focus on, we're focusing on whatwe do have, not lack.
Therefore, more good things, thoughts, feelings, actions,
(28:06):
results will come towards us,because whatever we focus on is
what we get.
Does this make sense?
Okay, back to the book.
So again it says when you focuson what you lack, your mind
takes on the form of thosenegative things.
You then send these mentalimages of lack of worry or upset
(28:27):
to God, and then you attractthose very same things back into
your life.
So we are responsible for whatwe have in our life, and part of
what we can do to get thethings that we want is have
gratitude, thanks andappreciation for all the amazing
(28:48):
things that we have already inour life.
Back to the book.
Focusing on the inferior makesyou inferior and surround you
with inferior things.
Conversely, focusing on thebest surrounds you with the best
and helps you become your best.
The creative power within us,which is god, shapes us into
(29:11):
what we focus on.
God shapes us into what wefocus on.
God shapes us.
The divine, universalintelligence shapes us into what
we focus on.
So if we are focused ongratitude, we are going to be
thankful for everything that wehave and I promise you, more
blessings will come into yourlife because, just like you, as
(29:34):
a parent, would want your childto be appreciative of the gifts
that you've given them and then, when they were, you would want
to go out and give them moregifts, it's the same thing with
that higher power.
The higher power when it seesthat we're thankful for all that
we have and we're consistentlycommunicating that thankfulness
and that gratitude, then God,divine power, is going to give
(29:58):
us more to be thankful for.
Okay, you can tell I'm prettypassionate about this because it
works.
It works.
All right back to the book.
We are thinking power, and thispower takes on the form of our
thoughts.
A grateful mind focuses on thebest, becoming the best and
(30:20):
receiving the best.
So pause for a second.
So what you're going to do isyou're going to be consistently
thinking about the things thatyou're grateful for, and when
you do that, your mind isfocusing on the best.
It's focusing on all theseincredible things that you have
in your life and you become thebest and you receive the best.
It is a law.
(30:41):
That is the way it works.
And if you don't believe me,try it, but really do it.
And if you really do it and youdo it for a period of time, you
will start to see some magicalthings occur in your life.
All right, we're wrapping upthis chapter.
Let's pull it together.
Back to the book.
Gratitude also breeds faith.
(31:02):
Let's pause for a second.
Did you ever lack faith insomething?
Oh, I doubt highly.
I'll ever really earn sevenfigures or mid six figures.
I doubt highly that that'sgoing to happen.
I don't have the faith.
Well, through gratitude, gratitude breeds the faith.
(31:27):
So if you're not thankful forall you have, you're not going
to have the faith that you need, which is necessary to have the
belief that you will be able toreceive and get the things that
you want in your life.
Show gratitude for what youcurrently have and you'll be
magically blessed with more andmore things to be grateful for.
That's the bottom line of thisentire discussion today.
(31:49):
All right back to the book.
A grateful mind expects goodthings and this expectation
becomes faith.
Gratitude increases faith.
Without gratitude, you can'tmaintain a living faith, which
is essential for getting richand creative methods.
So again, the answer isgratitude is the thing that will
(32:11):
breed faith, and faith isnecessary to have more wealth in
our lives.
Okay, back to the book.
Therefore, cultivate a habit ofgratitude for every good thing,
continuously giving thanks,because everything contributes
to your progress.
Be grateful for everything.
(32:33):
Let's pause for a second.
If you're going through adivorce, you lose a job, you get
into a car accident, can you begrateful in those moments?
Think to yourself for a momentwhat could I be thankful for if
I lost my job.
If I got into a car accident, maybe you could be thankful for
(32:58):
the fact that, even though yourcar might be destroyed, that you
didn't get hurt.
Or even if you did break a leg, thank God I didn't get more
hurt.
I could have lost consciousness, I could have been killed.
There's always something to begrateful for, even in bad times
like that, or what seems to bebad.
Those things are happening fora reason and purpose.
We don't really know what thatis and I don't know that we will
(33:22):
ever know that these things arehappening for a reason and
purpose and our job is to lookfor gratitude in these events,
in the bad event, in the caraccident.
This wasn't good, but what canI be grateful for?
There's always something to begrateful for.
If you go through a divorce, what can you be grateful for in
(33:42):
that process?
Maybe the fact that you'restill able to take care of your
kids and still have them in yourlife.
There could be many reasons, but the point is look for one or
two things that you can begrateful for and focus on those
and then watch what starts tohappen.
I'm going to tell you a story.
This is a true story.
I remember that I used to workfor a large law firm in the IT
(34:05):
department and they decided thatthey were going to lay off all
these middle managers and ofcourse I was one of them and I
remember the HR director who Iwas really close with and I
considered him to be like abrother.
He was the one who had to giveme the news and I remember
saying to him and he can confirmthis that I'm grateful.
(34:30):
I said you don't have to tellme anything else.
I said I'm grateful because Iknow that I've been wanting to
get out of this job for a longtime and it's going to lead me
to the next best place that Ineed to go and I'm grateful for
it and I know that I'll also beworking very shortly.
And he was blown away.
He had never heard anyone saythat and I'm not tooting my own
(34:53):
horn, I'm just showing you how,in bad circumstances, we can
still use gratitude.
And you know what ended uphappening Literally one week
later, I had a new job, justlike that, after it was like 10
years of working in that job.
So when we put out thatgratitude and we don't blame,
complain and make excuses, whichis what I could have done very
(35:16):
easily, and I think if I haddone that, I don't believe I
would have gotten the job asquickly as I did, because I
would have been so focused onwhy did this happen to me
instead of I'm grateful becauseI know it's going to take me
where I need to go.
That's how this ultimatelyended up unfolding the way that
it needed to, because I had thebelief.
I was grateful for it.
I had faith and ultimately, theblessings were given to me for
(35:38):
that, and I'm grateful for thatto this day.
To the book Don't waste timecriticizing the wealthy or
powerful.
Their organization of the worldhas created your opportunities.
Everything you receive comes toyou partly because of them.
Don't rail against corruptpoliticians.
Without them, we'd have anarchy, limiting your opportunities.
(36:02):
I love this last paragraph.
God, the divine universalintelligence, has patiently
worked to bring us to ourcurrent state.
It continues and eventuallywill remove those in power when
the time is right.
Meanwhile, they are a part ofthe system through which your
riches will come.
Be grateful to them.
(36:24):
All this aligns you with thegood in everything, and that
good will move toward you.
This is the perfect environment.
Politics we look at all ofthese things.
Whether you're a Republican orDemocrat, it doesn't matter.
You can still be grateful.
You may not agree with what'sgoing on, and if you're not
(36:46):
going out and doing somethingabout it, then you can just be
grateful that you have yourhouse.
You can be grateful that youhave your life.
You can be grateful that youhave your job.
You can be grateful for allthese things.
You can be grateful thatthey're in those positions,
doing things that we can't do.
There's always something to begrateful for all right.
So to this up, I want to giveyou an exercise that I believe,
(37:10):
if you do this consistently, this will be the way to apply
gratitude in your life, and it'sthis when you wake up in the
morning, the very first thingyou do is give thanks for waking
up, because there is a lot ofpeople today that didn't wake up
.
They died in their sleep, theydied in the hospital, they died
(37:33):
in a car accident.
They died for many differentreasons, but you didn't.
You woke up, you're healthy, you're breathing, and be
thankful for that.
God, thank you so much forgiving me the ability to live
another day and share and make adifference in people's lives
today.
Then you get up and you get outof bed.
(37:55):
Thank you, god, for allowing meto stand up.
Thank you for allowing themuscles in my body to operate in
such a way that I could standup.
Thank you for giving me thecognitive ability to be able to
walk to the bathroom, which I'mdoing right now.
Thank God, there is a lot ofpeople out there right now that
aren't walking, that don't havethat mobility, and I'm so
(38:17):
grateful that I do, and I thankyou so much and I say a blessing
and prayer to those people thatdon't, that maybe somehow
they'll be blessed with theability to walk again.
What we're doing is we're goingthrough our day in gratitude.
Let me just continue a littlebit more and you see where I'm
(38:38):
going with this.
I go into the bathroom and, like before, I say the same
thing Thank you, god, forallowing me to go to the
bathroom.
Thank you for giving me aprostate that's functioning and
I'm able to go to the bathroom.
Thank you for giving me aprostate that's functioning and
I'm able to go to the bathroomand I flush the toilet and the
water's working and I have fresh, clean water to wash my hands
with and wash my face with, andI can brush my teeth and keep
them clean, because some placesthey don't have any of this
(39:00):
stuff and their teeth arefalling out and they don't have
the ability to care for theirteeth.
Thank you for putting me in aplace where I have that ability
and I can be grateful for that.
I go downstairs, I go into therefrigerator, like I mentioned
before, and I'm thankful for thefood.
I'm thankful for theelectricity which keeps the food
in my refrigerator cold and itkeeps the freezer, the food in
(39:23):
the freezer, frozen.
You know, when you have a poweroutage and maybe it goes for
five, six, seven hours, howgrateful are you when that power
kicks back on and you didn'tlose all the food in your
refrigerator or freezer.
We forget these things, butevery day we have the
opportunity to be thankful forthem and what you do is, as you
(39:46):
go through the rest of your day,you continue the process.
I go to get in my car, to go tothe gym.
Thank you, god, for blessing mewith a car that functions, that
keeps me safe.
Thank you for allowing me tohave the money to buy the gas.
Thank you for powering up thecar and the batteries working.
All these things we take forgranted, and if you just go
(40:09):
through your day and you don'thave to do your whole day like
that, but you could justthroughout the day, find times
where you're going toincorporate that gratitude.
Someone says something not sonice.
What can you be grateful for inthat moment, even if it's not
about that person who said thatnegative thing to you?
(40:29):
Focus on gratitude and you willhave blessings in your life.
I hope that you found thisvaluable.
If you listen to this over andover, I think it's really
worthwhile to do so.
There are so many gifts inside.
If you continue to apply thisin your life, what I promise you
(40:50):
is you will live in peace, youwill live in happiness, you will
get rid of anxiety, depression.
You can't feel negativefeelings.
If you're consistently feelinggratitude, your mind can only go
one or the other.
So why not have it go togratitude?
And, like we've seen througheverything that we just did,
(41:14):
there are so many things that wecan be grateful for.
I want to end with this and letyou know that I am so grateful
for you.
I'm grateful for you who'slistening to this.
I'm grateful for you who sharesthis with other people so that
they can take this and use it tohelp themselves.
I'm grateful for you forapplying this in your life.
(41:35):
I'm grateful to have theability to share this with you.
So thank you from the bottom ofmy heart and share this podcast
with people that you thinkcould use it and potentially
could use the help, because younever know what you, sharing
this with them, could do forthem.
(41:55):
Ultimately, I thank you.
I send so much love your wayand I'm wishing you a life
filled with gratitude, happinessand peace.
Have a wonderful day and I'llsee you next week.
