Welcome to the latest episode of The Growtribute podcast! This week we are interviewing Roel Vogels, founder of Scenario Cards.
Roel started off as an architect, with a great passion for the design aspect rather than the technicalities of architecture. After exploring in this field for 3 or so years, Roel found that this technical dominated field was not for him, as his exhaustion took over passion in his everyday life. He then began to reflect back on his experiences as an architect. He found that his unhappiness and burnout were signals that something needed to change and that he had to take action.
During this period, Roel would find himself asking a lot of questions that eventually enabled him to identify his own mission - to inspire people to have more meaningful conversations, and in the process, find their own passion, potential and purpose.
Roel created Scenario Card decks - these cards start with "what if's", forming scenarios to reflect on. There are currently 3 decks, which help you understand yourself better, your environments, and the world. These cards are designed to ignite conversations with friends and peers, and to essentially make coaching more accessible. It helps us realize and to look inwards to see what we actually want to do.
In this video you will get to learn the value of finding your purpose and it will provide a little nudge in the right direction. It discusses:
- How most of find it difficult to find out passion because of the fear or lack of introspection.
- How asking yourself these what if Scenario cards can help you identify where you want to be as it puts you in different realistic situations.
- When we are able to look beyond our fears and anxieties, we will realize what we want to do.
