This is Brad Compton. This isLuke brown. This is Jeff
Barrett.
This is Tessa fasten, and you'relistening to the GSE podcast.
All right, welcome to a specialedition of the GSE Podcast. I'm
Matt Weitzel. And I'm here withMax Gosney. How're you doing?
Max
Max Gosney (01:12):
on brilliant.
Thanks, Matt. And once again, real pleasure to be with you on
the pod. Thanks so much forhaving me.
Matthew Weitzel (01:17):
Yeah, no
problem. So the last time we
spoke, it was actually Octoberof 2023. Right before the GHI
annual event. And we did a panellive on stage and put that up on
the podcast. And that was a hugesuccess. And I appreciate your
help.
Max Gosney (01:33):
It was no I'm most
delighted it was something
different to try, you know, running it as a pod episode with
you. And we had a great lineupthere with the you know, head
Chen Valentin. We had abrilliant sort of selection of
experts from across theindustry. And it was really good
chemistry on the panel, we gotsome good discussion going. So
we
Matthew Weitzel (01:50):
were delighted.
Yeah, we've had a ton of greatfeedback about that episode, and
one of our most listened to soreally appreciate you taking
over the hostingresponsibilities. And so what
have you been up to since theannual?
Max Gosney (02:02):
Well, yeah, like,
like yourself, they're just
discussing has been incrediblybusy. And I think the whole
industry is moving at pace, which is wonderful for us all
given where we were sort ofthree and a half, four years ago
with with COVID. So we we had amega event there in Lisbon. And
thanks to all of our supportersand delegates, exhibitors,
airlines handlers who camealong, so we actually would just
(02:22):
shy of 1000 attendees, which wasan all time record, at 70
exhibitors in the in the hole, more meetings we've ever held
before. And it was real feelgoodfactor and has so much business
being done. And that really fedinto a busy successful and sunny
gi annual in November in Europe.
So we were delighted with that.
(02:42):
And as you know, it's kept usvery busy. And thank you to
everyone who came to the eventsor today, the objective for us
now is to build on that for forthis year for Barcelona, having
come so close to the magic 1000attendee numbers, we want to get
there for December this year inBarcelona, grow the show make it
more relevant to people. Andit's a very special one for us,
because it's the 25th. So it'sour silver anniversary, annual
(03:05):
starset 99. And we want to markthat occasion, lot of celebrate
your activity, more details aregoing to be released, but just
sort of say thank you to thosethat have been there and
supported it many years. Youknow, some people have been
going since 99. But many, manyto 10 years or more. And we want
to come up with some initiativesto to thank those guys enough to
showcase how far the industryhas moved in the last 25 years,
(03:28):
which is a long, you know, longspace, how we move forward in
terms of GSE in terms of airportoperations, ground handlers. I
wasn't involved way back then Ithink I was at school still. But
I there's a huge amount ofchange in our world since those
early days. And we want toreflect on some of the high
points as well as lookingforward to what might what it
might look like for all of us inthe next 25 years. Some of the
(03:52):
things we'll we'll talk about onthe portal ensuring the Americas
have been developments inautonomous GSE sustainable
equipment. It's very exciting tothink where where we will go
next.
Matthew Weitzel (04:02):
Yeah, for sure.
And actually, it's funny becauseI just recorded a podcast with
Brad Compton, you know him inhis past and
he was on our panel of course, yeah, of course. Yeah. unsexy
push back. That's right,exactly,
yeah. And then his dad PeteCompton. And Pete Compton was
the former like VP of Sales forFMC, which is now Oshkosh, you
(04:26):
know, formerly at JBT. And so Ihad them both on the podcast to
kind of talk about how thingshave changed in the last 2530
years or whatever, in ground andground support equipment. And so
to your point, things havechanged a lot. We kind of talked
about, like what has stayed thesame and what has changed and
we're going to launch that onFather's Day. So that'll be a
(04:47):
special Father's Day podcastwith Brad and his dad and kind
of going through the changesthat have taken place and some
of the changes that haven'ttaken place within ground
support equipment.
Max Gosney (04:57):
know I'd be looking
forward to this and Salima
sauce. What's up with Brad inKuala Lumpar need mentioned on
the record and the fact thatthere's like so many people in
our industry isn't it's a familyaffair and the aviation. It's
the father and the mother hashad a career in that in that
sector, it kind of tends to flowthrough to sons and daughters. I
know, Brad's got his children ofhis own. So maybe there'll be a
(05:18):
next generation of exactcompetence that you know, yeah,
I won't be right without.
Matthew Weitzel (05:27):
So then, and
then I also have an announced
that I'm also doing one withLuke Brown from mal Han and in,
in Pat Brown, that used to beagain with FMCW, JBT, for years,
and I think he's still in theindustry. So we're going to
record that here in the next fewdays.
Max Gosney (05:42):
Oh, brilliant.
That's a really, really cleveridea. I like that father's
positive sons and mothers anddaughters for Mother's Day. But
the fact that if you've gotteninto aviation, I think I'll
probably enthusiasm carriesthrough and people see what it's
really like. And then, you know, following in the footsteps of
their parents and coming to workat airports and in the GSE.
Industry. It's great. Yeah,
Matthew Weitzel (06:01):
it'll be fine.
So just teasing those episodes alittle bit. But how did you
Max Gosney (06:05):
met you mentioned,
Brian, I think the last time was
on we're talking about the, alongside all the networking and
the conference content at the GHI annual we of course, previewed
the football tournament. One ofthe main events and
unfortunately for Brad andWillie, those guys, were on the
losing team. And once again, last on the FC Vestergaard.
Trophy, but it was a really avery, very keenly fought
(06:27):
contest. And they got very closethe team Textron this year. So
what was miserable? So I'm surethey'll be back. We finished it
for for two. Okay, a couple oflate goals. Oh, wow. But it was,
yeah. Will is. Particularly Ithink he burns to take that
trophy home and I'm sure he'll,he'll be putting them in
training camp ready forBarcelona.
Matthew Weitzel (06:47):
On how to get
started training earlier this
year. Yeah, yeah. Gonna starttraining early. But
Max Gosney (06:51):
it was very good.
Very good. Fun.
Matthew Weitzel (06:53):
Yeah. Did you
play?
Max Gosney (06:54):
I did. I did.
Matthew Weitzel (06:55):
How did you do?
How'd you rate yourself?
Max Gosney (07:00):
Generous six out in
the midfield engine?
Matthew Weitzel (07:05):
I think. So
beyond the background four out
of 10. So I don't know who tobelieve. I
Max Gosney (07:10):
think I think I
think it would be more like a
three. Yeah, the same. Butfootball was a winner. We had a
lot of fun. And it was great toget the guys together. You know,
the branded kits and
Matthew Weitzel (07:21):
but you know,
the one you want to win is the
25th anniversary. A new Oh, yes.
You want to win? Who cares aboutthe 24? You know what I mean?
Like, we're moving on here,we're going to stick
Max Gosney (07:33):
with what we're
thinking is, you know, the
merchandising opportunity. Likebelow the Super Bowl, we get
some halftime entertainment inand you know, make it Yeah,
Matthew Weitzel (07:41):
you gotta have
that. Yeah. Let's think about
who were going to put it thathalftime show for sure. Well,
yeah,
Max Gosney (07:48):
we'll have to, we'll
have to see whether, you know,
Taylor Swift is in town andanswers of saying three
constraints might might holdthat one off.
See, watch this space. So
Matthew Weitzel (08:01):
how did GHI
Asia go?
Max Gosney (08:03):
GHI Asia was really
satisfying when it's great to
have the entire Asian audienceback. I mean, really, it's the
first time we've we've been ableto attract delegates all the way
from, you know, the China andSoutheast Asian peninsula since
2019. So it has been a wholefive years, we had the event in
a year prior in Dubai, there wasstill restrictions in place. But
(08:24):
this year is such a again, afeelgood factor because at the
guys like their Cathay PacificAir, China, no Shanghai
International Airport, they'reable to attend. And you just had
that, that real demographic backin town, across the region, and
a sense that after a long, painful, COVID slump, that the
industry is rising again, lotsof contract discussions, lots of
(08:44):
new equipment, really, reallyfelt good. And we had a great
conference discussion again, challenges with skills, it's
across the world, isn't it andattracting people in stations
keeping hold of them that loomedlarge, and there was a lot of
excitement about next year'sAsian, we're off to Danang city
and Vietnam, it's a new locationfor us. And I think there's a
(09:05):
real sense of people are excitedabout going somewhere completely
new Asia will be one year on oneyear stronger. And look out for
dates on that. And we willhopefully, intending to grow
that event, again, from sort of350 beyond the 400 mark, and
support the development of theindustry in in that region. So
really, really happy with how itwent. That's
Matthew Weitzel (09:24):
awesome, man.
Yeah. And I think Brad, wasthere. Was he on stage for that
as well. Yeah, Brad
Unknown (09:28):
was substation and then
again, he's had some excellent
presentation. And, you know, very relatable content, you
know, illustrating some of thechallenges in the market right
now. And, you know, that kind ofdealing with that capacity. That
was sitting capacityconstraints, the huge number of
orders volumes, you know, howyou how you feel that as a
chassis manufacturer, though, yeah, it was a pleasure to have
him back and yeah, some reallyengaging content that they
(09:50):
brought across.
Matthew Weitzel (09:51):
Good. So what
about GSE? Expo Europe, so the
big ones Yeah, you gotta you gota big one coming up this year,
and It's gonna be a great event.
Why don't you talk a little bitabout it?
Max Gosney (10:02):
Yeah, of course. So
this will be the second Jesse
Expo Europe we debuted the showwith the team I email this is
you know really we work inpartnership with with the IMA
team on delivering this eventheld in Paris in September of
2022 got huge buy in from fromthe audience, from JSC
manufacturers and from operatorsof equipment, airports, ground
(10:24):
handlers, airlines. And it'sstrapline really says everything
you need to know about the eventis by the community such by the
team at IEMA, working inpartnership with us as for the
community, so those guys knowwhat is important issues around
sustainability, autonomousvehicle safety. They're in the
in experts in their own backyardas to what matters and they
craft and help build a show thatcaters to those needs for their
(10:47):
customers. You can see, I thinkwe're up to well over 130
exhibitors leading equipmanufacturers already registered
for Lisbon. It's on the 17th.
Tonight, it's September thisyear, where else you're going to
find that kind of breadth andscale of nonbelievers. Yeah.
Bringing kit you can come andsee it, there's a demo zone, you
can come watch it, you can't notonly can you see the kit up
close, you want to see it inaction, the manufacturers will
(11:08):
talk you through some of thefeatures that happens. It's a
really interesting, excitingvibe. And we've got a great
conference, sorry, conventioncenter there in Lisbon, Phil,
and lots of interesting stuffgoing we'll have an Innovation
Zone as per Paris and 20 tableand expand on it looking at some
of the opponent topics in theindustry, autonomous vehicles
being one going to look at theadoption of things like you
(11:32):
know, hydrogen, telematicsagain, robotics will invite some
of the leading innovators inthose areas to host roundtables.
And as a as a user or anoperator of that keen come to
the show, can learn about thoseareas, deep dive talking, go and
see the manufacturers see thekit, talk to them, understand
what's going on, see the demosand essentially get everything
(11:54):
you need. From your two threedays stay under one roof rather
than try and draw around theworld mean various different
suppliers and which is quitelaborious, difficult process
compiling our information justcome and say oh, no credit to
all of our support as a team Iemail because ultimately these
guys I suppose on on a blanketsurvey be looking at they are
competing against one another.
(12:15):
But that spirit set aside forthis event where they say no,
we're coming together as asupply chain, to work together
to put the show on so that allthe customers can see all of us
and advance the course of Jesseand innovation is a really
worthy, inspiring thing. Yeah,
Matthew Weitzel (12:31):
put together
the best show possible for sure.
Yeah, yeah. And
Max Gosney (12:34):
work together by the
community for the community.
It's what it's what it's allabout. And everyone then is
benefiting from thatpartnership. You can register
for free, you can do that. Now,we launched a couple of weeks
ago, we're up to 327 registeredattendees, which is up over 100
on where we're at to the launchshow. So it's been our bumper
numbers. We had three and a half1000 through the door in
Matthew Weitzel (12:56):
September, so
they're only gonna go up the
air. Yeah, yeah, yeah,
Max Gosney (13:00):
we can't guarantee
it me like that, chances are a
nice sunny weather touchingwould have an outdoor area as
well as an indoor area where wewill have that demo zone. And
now that the event hasestablished itself as a kind of,
you know, that one stop shop todiscover Jesse innovation, new
equipment, we've got theexisting audience, we're gonna
try and build on attract newdelegates, particularly that
(13:22):
okay, it's got Europe in thetitle GSE Expo Europe, but this
is a global show and room. Andwe really want to get delegates
in from that recovering Asianmarket. And we're looking to
procure and upgrade theirfleets. America's no Africa, you
know that the audience base isglobal and international for
this event, even if it's held inEurope. And that's what we're
looking two years on from Parisand the edges of COVID. They're
(13:44):
coming out of that we've got amuch clearer landscape to
attract those customers in. Soplease go at JSC Expo europe.com
or contact me max at Grandhulling.com. We will get you
registered, come and see what'sgoing on. More details are going
to be ongoing as we get closerto the show. Yeah, and
ourselves. And I email welcomeyou to come along and discover
some equipment innovation andfind out what's going on in
(14:04):
industry and make someconnections and support the
course.
Matthew Weitzel (14:09):
Yeah, for sure.
And then I'm hearing rumors. AndI don't know if they're true or
not. But are you planning onlaunching a podcast to kind of
talk about the GAC Expo?
Max Gosney (14:20):
I can confirm those
rumors. That's true. But we're
we're sort of standing on theshoulders of giants and
following your podcasts, Matt.
So we I know we've been talkingand you've been a great help to
us about how we go aboutdelivering engaging content and
you've built a really successfulaudience and you're the number
one podcast out there in theindustry. So we want to serve in
any small way can emulate howsuccessful GSA podcasts has been
(14:41):
and just create a preview showfor our customers, attendees.
The manufacturers who areexhibiting to talk about what
they're doing a Lisbon,imaginatively, I think we're
saying the GSE Expo Europepodcast show. So we'd love to
have you on as a guest superstarOh,
Matthew Weitzel (15:00):
yeah. Yeah, as
long as we're gonna be working
on Oh, yeah, that'd be great.
Max Gosney (15:04):
Well, we're talking
to your agent a moment. And
hopefully we'll be able to cometo an arrangement for that. But
the idea is to interviewmembers, exhibitors, talk to
some brand handling, airlineairport attendees talk to the
team, I'ma preview what's goingon talk about some of the issues
we want the show to cover. Soinnovation, we're going to talk
about sustainable kit, whetherthat's electric, hydrogen, SAF
(15:27):
other other sources. And we'regoing to kind of have the true
stars as well, the members of myteam at ch AI. So bringing a
different member of the GI teamon as well talk about it's the
marketing was Sophie where theoperation side with the carrier
Libby, whether we look at, youknow, the the Innovation Zone
and delivered sponsorship withAlice and George on the
(15:49):
exhibition side. So we want itto be quite a fun, insightful
discussion, just previewing allthe stuff that's gonna be
happening in this bin, andgetting more people along and
excited about joining us. Sowatch this space. And hopefully,
we can speak to our bank managerand get that get our parents be
through for you, Matt, and I'msure ratings will soar. If we
do.
Matthew Weitzel (16:09):
I think it's a
fantastic idea. So that's the
reason I wanted to talk about iton this podcast, because you
know, you and I will, we'll havea future podcast, I think
probably before it launches. Sowe can just kind of talk about
that and tell people where to beable to find that. So they can
go out there and find out likewhat the latest is the GSE Expo,
they can listen to it whenthey're on their flights and
(16:30):
things like that. It's alwaysit's always great to have some
new content to listen to, whileyou're flying around the
country, seeing your customersand stuff like that. So you'll
be able to write that content tothem, and we'll make sure they
know where to get it. So it willbe
Max Gosney (16:43):
I think what you've
done brilliantly is yes, you get
some learnings from your show.
There's some really seriouscontent on there. But you also
it's fun to listen to and youknow, you kind of get that
rapport with your guests. So wewe want to make it the
insightful but also an enjoyablelisten, and you really get hats
off to you've done that sosuccessfully. Yeah, we
Matthew Weitzel (17:01):
tried to find a
balance. So hopefully it's
working. But all right, but Imean, the whole reason that we
did this podcast was talkingabout GHS America's but I've
been waiting till the very endto do that. Another podcast
secret that I can teach you tokeep the customers or care keep
the listeners listening, amguessing Yeah, keep them
guessing to when when we'refinally going to discuss it. So
let's talk about GA ChaiAmerica's I'm very excited about
(17:22):
that. As you know, I've said onthis podcast many times a big
fan of that show. And we'redoing it again. This is the
eighth year.
Max Gosney (17:29):
That's it. That's
correct. She ate for America's
we're off to Toronto to theSheraton center really excited
about, you know, this is a greatevent for us. It's been booming
since 2018 2019. Gone from 200up to 300 now, and 450 500 plus
in Miami a couple of years agoso that the market has really
got behind event and we were sograteful for for their support.
(17:52):
And numbers are looking reallystrong for Toronto. We're
tracking well ahead of where wewere for Punta Cana at this time
last year, almost 250 delegateswith eight weeks still to go. So
thank you. For everyone who'scoming along. We got a really
great lineup there on as yousay, we're really excited about
doing the session, we're lookingat sustainability,
electrification of the Americasapron for our dedicated panel
(18:14):
session, which will feature asan episode of the pod. And we've
got a great lineup on there. Weknow I say electrification,
we'll look at electric GSE.
We're gonna look at otherhydrogen staff, we'll look at
hybrids, and how ready theAmerica supply chain is and what
needs to be done amongstdifferent stakeholder groups to
really drive the adoption ofgreener kit, both in North and
(18:34):
Latin America. And it'd be greatto have you them out on stage,
which we weren't able to. Yeah, did very poor substitute in
Lisbon.
Matthew Weitzel (18:46):
I mean, I don't
know if I can handle both. Find
out. Yeah, yeah, it's easy. Oh,go ahead. Sorry.
Max Gosney (18:54):
I was just gonna say
that just off the press. We've
got confirmed panelists, welcoming back Brad Brad
Compton. We spoke about earlier,Textron. We've got Marty Marty
graves director, Jessemaintenance Air Canada, or Josh
Park in you know, well, who'srepresenting Oshkosh. sharetec.
And then more, yes, lined in theAtlantic with David David Faris,
(19:17):
at Swissport. We're justconfirming this morning. So it's
a really all star lineup andrepresenting different supply
chain groups. Becauseultimately, I tell you all need
to be in unison. If we're goingto drive and speed the adoption
of more sustainable can do in amutually profitable way for all
stakeholder groups, right?
Matthew Weitzel (19:37):
Yeah, I agree.
And it's actually something thatI speak about on the podcast,
every single interview goes toelectrification, and
infrastructure. And now we'regoing to be able to get all of
these stakeholders at the sameplace at the same time talking
about this subject on stage inToronto, and I'm very excited
about it to see what everybodyhas to say and see if we can't
quite figure this thing out foreverybody, you know, yeah, yeah.
(19:57):
Absolutely, because I'm sure itwill solve all the world's
interest
Max Gosney (20:02):
in that everyone's,
it's, you know, it's a cause
that people want to get behind.
But it's, it's working out away, I guess to do it. So that
it makes it, it makes itpossible to do so in partnership
with other groups as much andwho pays. I mean, let's get to
the number that I'm sure we willsee. Who's gonna pay, he's gonna
fund it, there's gonna be plentyof topics to discuss, because
Evan wants to talk abouteveryone's got good aspirations.
(20:24):
But when the bill comes, youknow, he's picking it up. Yeah,
this is
Matthew Weitzel (20:30):
gonna be a four
hour special episode of the GSE
podcast. It sounds like a lot oftopics to cover, if you
Max Gosney (20:36):
think your job is to
shut me up, and
Matthew Weitzel (20:41):
I'll see what I
could do with it.
Max Gosney (20:42):
Yeah, we'd certainly
you know, we are currently
booking it's a really great timeto book because we've, we've
opened a one to one meetingspanel last week. Diaries are
filling up. So definitelyrecommend that anyone interested
gets involved now. So they getthe best opportunity to get
their meeting invites accepted, register for the various
sessions we've got going on. Andwe've got a block of special
(21:03):
rate hotel rooms there Sheratoncenter, but you know, the longer
you leave it, the more you risk, not having opportunity to get
one. So
Matthew Weitzel (21:11):
it's a
beautiful hotel, I was looking
at the pictures. I'm veryexcited. So it seems like a
great venue. And then also I waslooking at the one to one
meetings, a lot of executivesare going to be there from
ground handlers, airlines, things like that. So it's, I
mean, the attendees that arecoming or the delegates that are
coming is really top notch.
Max Gosney (21:29):
Oh, thank you, Matt.
I know you work hard team workshard in that area to make sure
that we get the right peoplethat quote the caliber of
attendee who has the buyingpower that is the decision
maker, because that's, that'swhat you're kind of investing in
as an attendee, alongside thecontent alongside the customer
service we pride ourselves on isgetting in front of the right
person and making best use ofyour time.
Matthew Weitzel (21:51):
Yeah, I
definitely think that that's
happening. And we can confirmthat that is happening. So and
then what about the dinner? Whatdo we what do we have scheduled
for? What is it dinner onTuesday night
at dinner is actually on theWednesday or Wednesday? Night?
Okay, sorry, Wednesday evening, and we are looking to go to a
brew house in downtown Toronto.
(22:13):
Had you heard rumors that thethe GSE people like beer is that
what is that the rumor? Like
Max Gosney (22:18):
the hedging game, I
think on this one, but we
thought that there'll be a goodpossibility that they would but
the it's a functioning brewery,and we've got hired area I used
to be I believe locomotive houserail house. Oh, wow. That's
cool. You're trying so yeah.
Which still retained to kind ofopen the brick style in the
hallway would be having thedinner we've got outdoor areas
(22:41):
that have a great view of theToronto city skyline CN Tower,
hopefully get the weather so itwill be very atmospheric and
you'll you'll be able to try aselection of you know,
microbrewery so some great beerson offer also non alcoholic
beverages wines as well, forthose who don't like clear as
much but be an opportunity tocut loose, have some fun, and
just host a successful event.
(23:03):
And as you know, sometimes thebest conversations tend to
happen tend to happen after youdo the formal one to ones in
your in the relaxation at thedinner, you get to see
Matthew Weitzel (23:14):
those people,
you get to see those people
after the one on where you'vealready had a one on one with
him on Tuesday or Wednesdayafternoon or something then you
get that follow up with them andyou have something to talk to
him about. And it's yeah, it'sit's a fantastic opportunity to
network and I really love thoseevents. I mean, I remember we
have one of the Panama Canal wewere down in Santa ball. That
(23:34):
was crazy. I never thought I'dget a chance to visit the Panama
Canal so that was really cool.
And then we had a cool that onethat was great dinner on a
beach. I mean, you know, you allare just constantly one upping
yourself and I'm really excitedabout the brew house. That
sounds like a lot of fun.
Unknown (23:48):
Yeah, we're looking
forward to and you can find out
more details out there thewebsite
americas.groundhandling.com Oragain just drop me a line max
that ground handling.com And wecan supply some more information
but it's about experience isn'tit like you say and writing a
nice ambiance people to relaxenjoy the evening and hopefully
discuss a bit more business aswell. I
Matthew Weitzel (24:08):
you know I
think I'll know that I really
made it when they have changedmy email to only Matt at
xcedgse.com I don't you know Idon't have the kind of power you
do max.
Max Gosney (24:18):
Well, I thought you
know before people think my you
can see me on camera and head isfilling up the room with my
giant ego i We have a you know, uniform. So all of the team that
single No, they only
Unknown (24:31):
wish it was just not
Oh, well that.
Max Gosney (24:35):
Now we have which
dates back to the business was
set up by Tim and Jean, but it'squite nice. I think it
represents families. It's a bit.
We are informal. It's likefamily. So we're on first name
terms, right?
Matthew Weitzel (24:47):
I'd like that.
You know and the thing is thereason that I would want it is
obviously because my last nameis a nightmare and having to
tell people that it's Matt dotWeitzel at xcedgse.com. They're
likely to win I set up everysingle time. So So yeah, I think
for that it worked. Don't youthink? I
Max Gosney (25:05):
think you should. I
think you should. I think with
the way the success of thepodcast, I think you can, you
know, you've got the gravitasand yeah, the you know, I think
Matthew Weitzel (25:15):
you know? Yeah,
I
Max Gosney (25:16):
think so. Oh, we're
gonna try. I think you'll, you
could just say em. Yeah. Justsay yeah.
Matthew Weitzel (25:22):
Maybe we'll
just go with a symbol like
prints or something, you know?
Yeah, yeah, no, I like that. Sowhat else have we covered here
today?
Max Gosney (25:31):
Well, I'll just say
so just a reminder, set dates
for the GH right. It's America's25th to the 27th of June and
we'll be doing the session panelon sustainability
electrification, the Americasapron on the 26th. So the
Wednesday in the conferenceroom, wrongs. Two o'clock, two
o'clock, three o'clock on the26th of June. That's when
Matthew Weitzel (25:55):
everybody can
come see a live GSE podcast,
which is everybody's fantasy. Sothere you go. Wednesday at two
to 3pm. You can see on stagewe'll be signing autographs
after and
Max Gosney (26:07):
Yeah, huge crowds
mean, you can't get into the
room, then I'm out. You'll beworking on the release of the
recording. Okay, I'm sure. Andthere's sort of days and weeks
afterwards. But I know you haveto do a lot of work there to get
these podcasts out. But as soonas possible. I'm sure in you
know, after the conferencecloses, it will be available on
Yeah,
Matthew Weitzel (26:24):
but it doesn't
mean you can't show up to the
conference, you still gotta showup to the conference. And even
though the podcast app, it's one
Max Gosney (26:30):
of those I was there
when moment said Yeah, exactly.
You want to be there. Yeah,
Matthew Weitzel (26:35):
I understand
that. So what else do we have
going on?
Max Gosney (26:37):
So then I say for
us, it's it's a big focus on
Jesse Expo Europe. So sometimesit's a night, it's September
with the team IEMA, after theAmericas, we also have really
excited about the African event, which is moving to Nairobi,
Nairobi, in Kenya this year, wehad a really strong return event
last year in Cape Town. So we'llbe working on that one for mid
(26:57):
October. And then our 25th ghciannual dusting off the the best
suits and the 25th pins. And asI say announces some celebrate
your activities and some someinnovative ideas to sort of
toast 25 for our industry, thattakes place on the third to the
fifth of December. And goodnessme it'll be Christmas again,
that will be bookings, and thengot another year goes by,
(27:22):
doesn't it? But yeah, it's greatfun. They got brilliant team
here. And we're really excitedabout what's going to make a
year for us putting on andsupporting the growth of the
industry by providing a qualitydriven platform where the whole
supply chain can get together, make best use their time and
spur those new businessopportunities.
Matthew Weitzel (27:38):
Yeah, so one
last question about GSE Expo and
then then we can kind of wrapthis up. So is there any booths
booth space available still? Oris it all sold out?
Max Gosney (27:47):
There? We Funny you
should ask that. But we will be
we've had to have a reallystrong surge in demand. It's
been consistent since we openedthe floor plan back
international GSE Expo in Vegasback in September last year. And
we saw you there. We've had toadd our 133 exhibitors had to
add about 900 square meters ofextra indoor space on our floor
(28:08):
plan to service the the highdemand. So booths have been made
available. But I would sayagain, getting there fast,
because they're selling reallyfast. You know, George's mega
busy on our team fielding thosephone calls and inquiries, you
know, because people want to bethere. So yes, there are booths
available, there are differentconfigurations are still one or
two outdoor outsideopportunities. But But
definitely, you know, now's thetime get in now. Because we're
(28:31):
starting to ramp up thepromotion, the marketing
activity. We'd love more andmore suppliers to come on board
and help us deliver, you know,an even bigger show for the
community than we had in Paristwo years ago.
Matthew Weitzel (28:42):
Okay, sounds
great, man. Well, thank you so
much. And I'm very excited aboutthe launch of your podcast. And
we'll we'll obviously share iton our channels here. And then
also try to do a preview beforethat comes up about GSE Expo and
kind of expose everybody to thatand really excited about it.
Thank
Max Gosney (28:58):
