Speaker 0 (00:00):
Welcome back to the
Hangry Parent Podcast.
I know I've been gone for alittle bit, but I'm back and I
want to just make a promiseright now.
So from now until the end ofthe year, at the very least, if
not more, we're going to makesure we upload at least one
episode a week.
(00:20):
Yep, I'm throwing it down now, that way you can call me out if
that doesn't happen.
So you've heard it.
At least once a week You'llhear, even if it's just a
snippet from me just of anupdate.
You know something that I feelyou guys could truly use.
So, yes, that's what I promiseto you right now.
So a little bit before I goahead forward, I want to just
(00:41):
mention there's been a lot ofpeople wanting to learn how to
do podcasts, if you're listeningright now.
So a little bit before I goahead forward, I want to just
mention there's been a lot ofpeople people wanting to learn
how to do podcasts.
If you're listening right now,I'm assuming that you're
interested in learning how to doa podcast or you just like
podcasts in general.
So I did want to throw downsome information about the
upcoming podcasting 101 classesthat are starting in September.
(01:04):
There are two dates that arecoming up again in September,
I'll have a link with moreinformation.
It'll have dates and everythingbelow that you can click on or
tap on.
That'll give you the dates andother details about that.
It is online, so it doesn'tmatter where you're listening.
As long as you have internetaccess, you'll be able to listen
(01:25):
in and hear some informationabout that.
So again, podcasting 101.
If you're interested, description below will have
links to that information.
Speaking of Podcasting 101, thelast episode kind of random,
just a little bit random, right,so I won't mention her name, uh
, but if you know, you know, because, um, she's very
(01:49):
distinctive, uh, if you arefriends with me or, uh, work
with me, you know exactly who itis.
Um.
So the last episode um, I did a101 uh with a coworker of mine,
uh, and who was interested indoing, you know, some podcast,
some podcasting.
So, uh, had a quick run throughwith her and her husband, who
did the production side ofeverything, and I just told her
(02:12):
just to go off the riff, just tokind, of, you know, get the
butterflies out of her stomach,um, to, you know, just talk
about anything.
And she happened to want totalk about her lawn of all
things, uh, and if you know herand if you know her, this
wouldn't be really much of asurprise.
So if you haven't listened,it's only you know several
seconds long.
(02:32):
It was 30 seconds to a minute.
Just to you know, break the iceand to you know, show her.
You know, how podcasting works.
The podcasting 101 class will gointo that more in like a group
setting, how podcasting works.
The podcasting 101 class willgo into that more in like a
group setting.
We will talk about how youcould get to the point where she
got to.
(02:53):
It's not going to go tooheavily in depth to scare you
away, but it is going to giveyou just enough of a taste to
actually, you know you branchingoff, wanting to, you know, try
episode or two on your own.
So so, yeah, the class start inSeptember.
So if you happen to belistening to this later on, it's
past September of 2025.
Um, there are future classesthat are happening, uh, that
(03:14):
we're looking forward to in thespring of next year, 2026, as
well.
So, um, that link will give you, or get you to you to a similar
place talking about podcasting, with some further information
on how to contact the schoolthat is holding that class as
well.
So fall is here, so studentsthat are new, maybe returning
(03:39):
students back to their schools, college bound students, college
studying abroad students youknow this is the time, this is
the unofficial start of fall.
So building new skills likepodcasting if you're like a
college student or an adultstudent, you know that kind of
fits in.
But generally I'm just curioushow parents are feeling right
(04:02):
now.
Or if you're a student, youknow how you're feeling, kind of
nervous, ready to tackle, youknow, everything going on for
the fall.
Definitely, definitely let meknow how you're feeling there.
I did want to say that my sonright now is studying in Japan.
So it is something that he haswished and wanted to do for
(04:23):
quite a long time, so I'm happyhe's able to do it.
So right now he's excited.
He has done brief stints inJapan for about a month last
year, so now he's taking a fulldive.
So I'm excited for him anddefinitely proud, you know, of
the progress he has made andthat he's out there again living
(04:44):
his dream.
He's learning, he's growing,he's experiencing, and that's
you know as much as I can wantyou know from as a as a parent
myself.
So, but yeah, so again, justwant to kind of wrap everything
up.
This is just a quick episodejust to let you guys know hey, I
didn't go anywhere, I'm stillhere, but again, new classes are
(05:06):
