Thom Pollard (01:04):
when I awake in
the morning, usually because
I've been prodded by my cat who,as much as he's in need of love
and affection when he pokes hiswet nose into my eye socket is
that he's after some food. Sowhen the darkness of pre dawn,
still mentally inside the dreamstate are still mostly inside of
(01:27):
the dream state not having fullyawakened, I slowly make my way
across the floor reaching aheadof me to make sure I don't walk
into a wall. When I reach thekitchen and put a little bit of
food on a plate for Simba, whothen gives me some peace and
quiet for at least anothercouple of hours while I go back
to bed to slowly hold off onwelcoming consciousness into my
(01:52):
mind for the new day. In thoseprecious hours, I still have one
foot inside of the sleep realm.
And I open my mind ever sogently to things higher, to my
higher self, and to my higherselves, higher self, and to my
higher selves, higher selves, higher self, and so on. I say
(02:13):
without actually speaking wordsof this nature. Source I love
you. I release all negativity,or thoughts of negativity, or
feelings and thoughts and spokenwords of negativity that I've
ever felt about myself aboutsomething or someone else, or
(02:36):
that someone else has everthought of me. I released them
to my higher self, to my pureand learned all knowing, all
loving self and transmute theminto love, and return them back
to self as a chosen experience.
(02:59):
After some moments, I thenhearken my spirit guides those
who are sharing this journeywith me from a different realm.
We all have them. They watch usperhaps often offering us words
and alerts and advice when mostof us, me included, are not
listening because our minds arecloudy and distracted with the
news of the day, what phonecalls we were supposed to make
(03:22):
that day. Or if that check isgoing to arrive in the mail or
some perceived transgression ofsomeone who didn't like that you
wouldn't stop for them as theycross the street because they
weren't using the crosswalk. Andthen they muttered something
awful in the open window of yourcar just as you passed by. And
in that moment when all thenegativity is released, you
(03:44):
don't have to do anything. yourhigher self is always there,
always ready. always working, loving, waiting, watching. In
that moment, I in essence, openmy arms and call for my spirit
friends. And I reiterate at thattime that any negative energies
(04:04):
are not allowed or permitted. Iasked all my spirit guides to
then come and assist me as Imake my way into another day of
life, asking for theirassistance as I go forth, to
move forth in love in service toothers, to realize my dreams and
for the universe to welcome mewith abundance. Now remember,
(04:27):
the universe is unlimited. Soabundance is a term that only
has its limitations based onthat which we have created in
our minds. Then I usually driftoff to sleep for an hour or two.
When I awake to start my day. Igo through this whole routine
(04:47):
before sleep that evening to askfor assistance in the sleep
The music we're listening to isfrom the French born Marian

(05:41):
Our thoughts, particularly thosewe get strength, and credence
and attention to are verypowerful. These thoughts, those
that make up a great part of ourconscious life, create the
person that we project onto theworld, they create the reality
of our own lives. Imagine aperson being a tiny little radio
(06:05):
station broadcasting out to theworld, those thoughts, fears,
worries, emptiness, depression, that fill her or his mind. And
while those energies are, ofcourse, powerful, maybe more so
when in the same room as thatperson, those energies are not
constricted by time or space.
And so a child 1000s of milesaway from home, perhaps that
(06:28):
college still feels equally sothe disappointment of a mother
or father for not having gone onthe career path of their choice,
without a word spoken. Or aniece or a nephew awakes in the
middle of the night just knowingthat her or his aunt has just
passed away in another town far,far away, to wake up the next
(06:51):
morning to receive a telephonecall confirming just that. Quite
simply, the thoughts that takeup the balance of our day is the
person that we become. When wecome from a place of love and
openness, understanding ourlives become richer, naturally,
not through the pursuit ofsomething so ethereal, as
(07:15):
happiness. Each day, we wake upwith the possibility of a new
day, and the life we live isshaped by those thoughts. You
could call each day of each ofour lives really nothing less
than a movie set a stage ofsorts, where the people and
things that we encounter andinteract with are just actors on
(07:38):
the set. And each day, we'reable to explore the energies
that we feel and encounter eachday.
(08:02):
So how do we realize our fullpotential in life? How do we
become that person or that thingthat we look up to? What happens
in the lives of many, probablythe majority of people on this
planet? I would say absolutelythe majority of the people on
this planet is that anindividual can short circuit
(08:23):
hurt or his natural capacity forjoy or happiness. By permitting
the vast ocean of disturbanceswhether it be malevolence, or,
or negative news cycles or, oran extremely busy life, having
that overwhelm them, and pushingout their natural proclivity to
(08:46):
find happiness or joy. Andinstead of doing that,
naturally, what an individualtends to do is taking the short
path drinking too much alcohol.
And you know, granted coffeeisn't a bad thing necessarily
but or, or drinking coffee oreating too much food or or
(09:08):
bingeing on television and notbeing able to sleep at night,
and finding that worry and fearsoverwhelm us and and then
suddenly, that becomes ourreality. That's what we are
inside. And ultimately, that'swhat we're projecting to the
rest of the world.
(09:33):
And when fear becomes ourmaster, and we're backed into a
corner, it's like we're backedinto that corner with a sharp
stick poking at the world as itloves its injustices at us.
Well, that's not really such agreat life is it? I think that
we can overcome this vastproclivity for disturbances for
(09:56):
malevolence for for confusion,by Just setting about in our
mind to aspire to somethingbetter, let's say more noble, to
make up in our mind that we'regoing to rise above it, endeavor
to rise above it, so that wemight realize our full
(10:16):
potential. I'm not talking aboutsetting a mandate saying,
dammit, I am going to be Noble.
I'm talking about setting aboutin our mind, to strive to
endeavor to become more noblethan we are in this moment. Now
today, it doesn't happenovernight. It can't happen
(10:36):
overnight, unless there's someinsane born again, experience
and epiphany of sorts where, inrare instances in life, people
can flip a coin on their life.
These things can take alifetime, they can then some
multiple lifetimes to fully riseabove it all, and find the
(10:58):
serenity in the peace, whereinour happiness can naturally be
exuded from us. So how do we doit? Maybe we set our minds on a
few simple things by adopting avision, just a vision of
something worthy. In that way wecan offset in the words of
Jordan Peterson offset thetragedy of our lives. So perhaps
(11:23):
take one or two or a few stepsin that direction toward a noble
lifestyle with the vision tobecome something more noble
without judgment, without hatingoneself for failing at times or
failing every day, for thatmatter. Perhaps take a few steps
from the Eightfold Path ofBuddhist practices which
(11:46):
liberate us from suffering, right speech, setting about in
our day to practice RightSpeech, to not say hateful
things to not lie, and sometimesnot lying, is merely just not
opening one's mouth. That's astart, right thought, how do we
(12:06):
practice right thought, when anegative thought or or a damning
thought enters our mind, werelease it, we don't push at it
and feel angry about it, dammit,I've got a monkey mind, I need
to get that thought out of me.
We release it. Right, so releasethose negative thoughts. Release
them just as I did in my as Iwake in the morning, I release
(12:29):
all negativity. And as I dothat, I transmute it with love,
and return it back to myself tomy higher self as a chosen,
chosen experience. So as weenter each new day, allowing our
consciousness to enter within usand take that step out from our
bed or off the couch, orwherever it is that we are
(12:52):
sleeping, to walk into the worldof consciousness, a veritable
world of new potential awaitsus.

Thom Pollard (13:15):
we ask ourselves
these things as we encounter
people and experiences if we canimagine them as merely actors.
In a scene in a movie, we becomeless attached to the outcome of
that scene. When you watch amovie, on TV, or go to the movie
(13:35):
theater, and you see a scene andsomeone is lobbying an offense
by an angry person, we don'ttake it personally. So if we
look at our life in this sense,as a as a movie, as a series of
scenes with actors, we beingincluded as one of those act
actors, we take things lesspersonally, we look at it as a
(13:58):
process. And if the movie doeswhat most movies do, it will
resolve itself at the end. Lifeis difficult, it is full of
tragedy. We all die at the endof it. That is for sure. That is
one guarantee. How are we goingto get to that place? Are we
going to latch on to fearnegativity? We can that's our
(14:20):
it's our choice we can explorein any way we so desire. We're
freewill beings, we can explorewith negativity, or we can
explore with positivity we arefreewill beings, we create our
reality with the thoughts thatwe empower. all paths lead to
awareness. The shortest path iswith love. So when we embrace
(14:45):
positivity, the world around usbegins to change in marvelous,
sometimes miniscule, almostimperceptible ways, ways that
will help us come into our ownpower. And we do that Then it
becomes natural and happinessrises gently, slowly, positively
(15:06):
from us. It helps us become ourtrue and beautiful self that we
were born with. And how do welove? How do we do that? How do
we go toward awareness, thatbeing with the shortest path of
love, by not judging, respectingthe freewill choices of other
individuals by guarding ourthoughts, loving
(15:28):
unconditionally, that's easiersaid than done, right? That for
sure, but not to judge. When wedo that, we move towards
something more noble gettingcloser each day to understanding
that we can defeat malevolenceand confusion and fear within
us. Fear is a weakling, all weneed to do is face it and it
(15:51):
disappears. It's just that whenwe don't do that, when we're not
willing to face it, it canoverwhelm us and take control of
our lives. At the close of eachday, we in turn, open our hearts
and our souls to the higherself. And we can do it every
moment throughout the day.
Remember, in the beginning ofthis episode, when I wake in the
(16:11):
morning, I say source I love yousource representing For others,
it might be God or the universewith a capital you or your
higher power. Source, I loveyou. You can say that if you say
that before every interactionwith a human being, you are
calling upon your higher self tobe present in that situation.
(16:34):
And then it helps you go forwardin a state of non judgement
about how we do during that day,we might have failed miserably,
we might have called someone ason of a bitch someone we love
deeply and hurt someone as aresult. At the end of the day,
during each day, at thebeginning of each day, release
(16:56):
that negativity, all of it,every single bit of it.
Everything we've ever thought orfelt or said about ourselves,
about other people about things.
And every negative thing thatmight have ever been said about
us that we don't even knowabout. Release it, let it go
(17:18):
transmute it with love, andreturn it to our higher self as
a chosen experience. Then ournatural state of happiness
emerges slowly, again, maybeimperceptibly at first, but as
other people are drawn toward uswill know that it's working. We
(17:41):
are all radio stationsbroadcasting our vibrations to
the rest of the world. The vastmajority struggles for bear
sustenance every day, there arenearly 8 billion human beings on
this planet souls struggling tofeed themselves and their family
to keep a roof over their headsto make it week to week day to
(18:02):
day. Is there any wonder thatliterally billions of people
feel lost depressed out ofsynchronicity with their own
true selves.
We were born with a frontal lobeand we were also born with a god
receptor. We can make a choicewithin ourselves to take control
of it and not let fear be ourmaster.
