is a special day we got a birthday it's not mine I wonder who could it be no I just joking
around man special shout out to my boy Sean man happy birthday bro you know we gonna turn

(00:45):
up tonight so yes sir yes sir today is a very special day let me know if y'all need my
cash up I appreciate it no I'm just joking but seriously no I'm joking but we are here

(01:08):
today I mean shit it is a birthday but I decided to come on anyway and do this because you
know I ain't doing nothing else no I'm joking I want to do this I love doing this shit that's
why that's why that's why we on episode 16 now 16 really love doing this shit I feel

(01:29):
like I'm empowered to do this shit oh yeah I feel like I feel like this is a calling
and luckily luckily today we're gonna talk about empowerment I don't think empowerment's
a tough subject we were just talking about it earlier yeah I ain't go lie bro like when
the last episode when I came when it came down to empowerment I was like damn what is

(01:51):
empowerment I ain't understood it yeah so I had to look into it so and I'm glad I did
I'm about to I'm about to give you all the definition for it right now because it is
for those I don't I don't want I don't cuz like I don't want to trip y'all up it is it
is a a very complicated word when you think about it like what is empowerment like it's

(02:14):
like the process of becoming stronger and more confident especially in controlling one's
life and claiming one's rights so like becoming your own person basically and like the key
word in it is process like it happens over time like go you go through things you go
through life you know you go through certain things in life and experiences where you become

(02:39):
a resilient person I feel like for sure I feel resilient ties into it a lot of things
tie into it it's more one of them things where power and empower in yourself or somebody
else is all falls down to you believing in yourself or you believe in somebody else you

(03:00):
know all of that is empowerment for yeah I think I think it's important that you know
we we do bring each other up you know because because like like we say over and over again
you can't go through this life alone no sir you cannot so work together teamwork makes

(03:26):
a dream work empower each other and I feel like you reach your goal quicker like that
too no and plus everything feels better you know you got people backing you up you know
believing in you and stuff that support system that we always talk about all of that falls
under the umbrella of empowerment so for all that shit falls under empowerment so we're

(03:53):
going to go over certain key aspects and empowerment because it is a process to gather to gather
all this shit like to to be an empowered person so to speak so first key aspect is education
so you want to provide people with knowledge about mental health conditions treatment options

(04:17):
coping strategies and rights and you know it empowers them to advocate for themselves
and make informed decisions so what does all that mean you know when you're when you're
educated like you just know more like if you know more you do more right yeah I feel like
when like far for the educated piece you know you able to see like everything and like why

(04:43):
screen now you can see like bigger pictures you know I'm saying like you understand why
things are the way they are or how to make things better so it's important to be educated
yeah with education you have more options to you like like I said you know more you
do more and you see a broad picture yeah so like how you become educated like there's
resources out there I mean there's an internet rally yeah you too come on Google now you

(05:07):
too will teach you how to be a doctor probably oh my god probably will probably teach you
how to be a doctor you too YouTube Academy bro yeah yo I got a story about about learning
on YouTube so I was in I was living in Italy for like two years yeah and my first my first
car in Italy was a manual I like damn how do I travel manual I got on YouTube I was

(05:32):
like how do I do this shit how does a nigga stick a shift in a gear pause I don't know
if that needed to pause you too you taught you know you too taught me I mean I still
fucked my car up but it is what it is yeah I learned shit YouTube Academy YouTube also

(05:55):
taught me how to cut my own hair I was in Iraq my first deployment I was in Iraq and
they picked they picked this barber up on the street weekly to cut to cut people hair
on on you know on our side and I was like uh-huh no sirree no can do not this head no
no no I don't know who I was trying to look you for out there either but I felt like I

(06:19):
felt like it was a good opportunity to pick up a skill to sell on YouTube for like two
weeks until my my clippers that came in if anybody gonna mess my head up is gonna be
me guy only fucked myself up one time all I needed was one time I'll never do it again
yeah I forgot the guy I used to watch on YouTube I had like downloaded his videos moving on

(06:40):
deployment I'll watch him then I that's how I kind of learned to do little stuff oh I
was watching 360 360 jesus 360 jesus that's the 360 yeah that's who it is 360 jesus waves
all his way was busting pause he always he always had a crispy ass haircut he always

(07:06):
had a always had one like that little three mirror thing he had you had one too I got
I got it right now yeah and I have bought one so what the what the LED lights yeah sir
I need to use it to cut my hair so got damn lazy I ain't empowered to cut my hair right
now see what I did there but that's what education if you know more you do more you got a broad

(07:29):
picture you got more options how you how you become more educated look look it up on the
internet man facts everything is there don't you know use to use that iPhone stop and get
off I mean shit you might you could find resources on tip-tock low-key not for real like a lot
of little good little no hidden gems like restaurants or parks or something like that

(07:54):
if people posted on tiktok bro like a lot of people be posting on tiktok like doctors
be posted on tiktok you can find mental health professionals on tiktok talking about this
shit I mean y'all can find us on tiktok too because we on there okay we on tiktok we
is on tiktok you could look you could look out for us that little promotion I like that

(08:19):
but we're gonna move on to the next key aspect so man this hard-ass word advocacy um yeah
advocacy advocacy so encouraging people to speak up for their needs and preferences you
know and rights within the mental health system fosters a sense of agency and autonomy speak

(08:46):
up you know if you if you need help everyone everyone you know we we listen everyone listens
yeah everyone got friends right everyone got family members you know just speak up tell
us tell us what's going on you have loved ones not for real man we're going through
some and it's for real you know and now let somebody know you know people care about people

(09:12):
care about you we care about you man I hate I hate this word suicide oh yeah so I've never
I've never like known anyone that's committed suicide I've known people that's been murdered
and stuff like that but I've never known anyone personally that's killed himself like on purpose

(09:40):
but I know of a person that did when I was stationed in Italy like this one dude he was
on he was an MA and I don't know what he was going through I guess he missed his family
like it is it is tough living living across you know overseas for some people and the
inmates I guess they just had a tough schedule to for them that was there like their their

(10:03):
sea duty that kind of that kind of as their sea duty because it was always on watch it
was always working and I guess that was tough on him so one night I mean I want to say it
was on Valentine's Day to Valentine's Day night he offed himself like he killed himself
in the cop car like and up in a patrol car that's crazy yeah for one of the craziest

(10:26):
thing that I've seen well I guess I didn't see either but I was in a vicinity because
this was on my on my first appointment on the TR so we had this chaplain right he was
like a 05 or something like a commander whatever it's pretty high ranking right and he was

(10:50):
I guess he was messing around with this E4 this third class LS chick or whatever and
come to find out as they was um as you know we use a little Navy cash card you know you
can chip to chip somebody you can pay somebody some money yeah they went through them during
his actions and it was and them too was linked he was always chipping and chipping her money

(11:13):
whatever I don't what they were doing I don't know right and for people who don't know the
chaplain is a chaplain it's like the religious person right the guy you go to that's the
preacher yeah exactly the guy you go to for prayer services and like all that stuff right
and so I guess he found out that you know that everybody was looking for him or whatever

(11:37):
because he's about to get in trouble right it was like in the middle of the night he
tried to jump off the ship bro but he messed up because he didn't account for the little
safety nets in case somebody slipped off the ship you know you get caught in that little
some little nets on the side of the boat oh man that's how you know he walked around much
yeah they found him in there but that was crazy I'm like bro you're the chaplain bro

(12:05):
like I'm supposed to go to you when I'm when I need help you feel me but you can't even
handle your own BS you know what I'm saying people ain't responsible enough they self
accountability man people not accountable for themselves these days it's tough you got
to own own up to your shit you know if your shit stink it is what it is you got to you

(12:32):
got to own up to that but that's what self advocacy you know you got it you got to speak
up if you're going through things man you really do you really do you can't you can't
bottle it up talk to talk to a loved one talk talk to anybody you care about that's not

(12:54):
something you you know you bottle down not sure man even if it's like work issues you
got HR you know HR ain't helping you you can go higher than that I forgot what it's called
but you can google it hey but you can go higher than HR you wanna know what I forgot what
is called though I seem like a crazy like real I don't like IG or Facebook or some shit

(13:17):
it's called like a um like a stress relief room oh you go in there and they give you
time to just break it breaks it would have been yeah I seen that I seen that at an arcade
when I was in I went home to Detroit I was with my siblings I took them to this little
place called Zap Zone it's like a I got arcade you know and like a Dave and Buster's for

(13:39):
kids really and they had that I think they call it a rage room or something like that
what you call it I think it's like a stress relief room something like that yeah but you
go in there and it's just nothing but stuff for you to break you just act a fool let it
all out it's crazy yeah if you like in the end like a big city go ahead and find one
but if you like in like a like a small town yeah I mean I guess go find a junkyard don't

(14:03):
don't don't go in low key this that's a good idea for people who like get really angry
and they like to break stuff or like punch holes in a wall don't do that reserve you
a spot on one of them rage rooms and go stupid let's go crazy bananas in there bro they don't
care I think as long as you get a time limit though so you better go go as hard as you
can go as hard as you can yeah I never did it before but I did when I was outside of

(14:31):
the rage room or whatever it was like I was like walking by it you know it was loud in
there there was a lot of things being done in there all you heard was shh I was saying
this one I seen this one video bro like this one guy pulled out this piece of metal he
said there used to be a 50 inch TV it's just a sheet of metal toward oh go ahead and invest

(15:01):
invest in that yep all right moving on to the next key aspect so like we said with education
access to resources so ensuring access to affordable and culturally competent mental
health services support networks and community resources is enabled I'm sorry I'm a little

(15:21):
drunk and high excuse me I'm feeling myself it's my birthday and community resources
enabled people to seek and receive appropriate care so like we said look stuff up on the
internet find resources there's other people out there not just us you know doing doing
the whole mental health thing I'm pretty sure there are mental health professionals out

(15:44):
there really on tiktok or YouTube actually talking about this shit like shit I'm pretty
sure like college professors be putting the lectures on YouTube to get low-key yeah brothers
I'm quite sure about this probably whatever it is is on the internet it's on it's on the

(16:09):
internet you just got to look it up because 10 out of 10 you not the only person that
thought about it yeah you I mean think of all the other crazy shit you look up on the
internet you might as well look up mental health shit mm-hmm yeah just type in mental
health shit and I'm pretty sure we'll give you what you looking for facts for real man

(16:30):
and it is a lot of shit on the internet like I said like the professors are really putting
the lectures up on on the internet teaching teaching everyone and shit you find thing
lectures books audio books pretty sure you'll find games that's like an app store that that

(16:51):
was put together to help you lower your anxiety levels or stress levels or something like
that yeah it's things on it shit was it was that website we we look for like ailments
and symptoms of WebMD was it where was it yeah yeah yeah yeah you might look up you
should on WebMD yeah all the doctors and stuff yeah see how long you don't live with it but

(17:21):
and that was that was a little does look yes big right there access to resources so that
ties into education if you know more you can do more yeah then it's like if you ain't okay
if you don't have internet you know library public library everybody has a public library
everyone has the iPhone I feel like everyone has a smartphone at least yeah smartphone
whatever like you can get to the resources if you can get to this podcast I'm pretty

(17:44):
sure you can get research facts that's a fact I'm God yeah if you watching this and you
saying you ain't got no resources we a resource like we telling you all these other resources
we are resources you know and we're plugging you to other resources more on the story you
got resources all right you got them yeah the same way you found us you know the same

(18:10):
way you can try to find resources honestly man it's not you know but hey we're your resource
too I'm glad you are watching us so hey we're gonna move on to the next key aspect we're
making good time we're making good time next key aspect collaboration so involving people
in treatment planning and decision-making processes foster the sense of ownership and

(18:37):
control over their mental health journey collaboration working with each other yeah that's one of
us saying I was telling earlier it's pretty much like trusting in somebody to do something
a little over the top that you're not used to them doing but you don't trust them to
do it that's no I'm speaking more from like a managers had him to employee kind of standpoint

(19:03):
you know I'm saying so you're looking at it from like a work aspect yeah if I'm like a
work aspect you know I'm saying trusting somebody with some extra responsibility that's empowering
them you know and even with just day to day honestly you know I'm saying just trusting
yourself you feel me like we talk about stress and anxiety and depression we talk about all

(19:27):
that all the time right but the fact that you get up and still go do what you got to
do that's empowering bro you can empower yourself so looking back at it you know from a from
a work aspect I want to say that I was I'll admit it I was probably a toxic individual

(19:47):
as a supervisor because I was not yeah I was not empowering I was doing everything by myself
and telling people I do I do all this shit by myself I'm carrying this fucking shit I
don't shit on everyone type shit I was not empowering anybody I was so if you're an if
you're you know if you were looking at it from a narcissistic standpoint that's crazy

(20:08):
you know that's nasty work you can't do that so if you're narcissistic you know you're
gonna have to you're gonna have to think about you know take a take a step back and see you
know are you really empowering your people you're not you know you're really not helping
anybody yeah and stop being a narcissist oh my god yes stop doing it stop doing that

(20:28):
shit you know stop being an asshole exactly the world does not revolve around you it revolves
around us yeah not the world does not revolve around one single person we all it's a billion
people on this goddamn world man you got a trip and you could you could be gone the next

(20:53):
day and that'll be it and then and then and then a baby be born the next day to this shit
life goes on it does life goes freaking on is deep too it really goes on nothing stops
when you're done nothing stops but at least at least you remember by loved ones and type
shit you know it's true you can man you can make a name a legacy for yourself like we

(21:18):
like you know like we remember like random lost one like you know Michael Jackson type
stuff you know leave a legacy behind yeah that's nice what was I doing uh I still went
to school I remember that when he died I still went to school oh yeah I was oh I think I

(21:39):
mean this Michael Jackson died like we still gotta go to school I think that was freshman
year high school 2009 yeah it was like oh nine oh eight or some shit like that yeah
type shit it was somewhere in between her people people you know leave a legacy behind
like Tupac and Biggie like we still listen to their music yeah but I think you know they

(22:00):
they achieve they dream to do that yeah I feel like I feel like they work with each
other to collaboration producers you know worked with worked with writers and a publisher
and yeah and the record and the record label they all empowered each other to make each

(22:22):
other famous and should have make money for sure and to make a dream yeah and they rip
you off giving you 0.1 percent of all the money you brought in so that's crazy UMG trying
to rip off tick-tock right now I can't make a decent tick-tock right now I'm trying to
put on my Drake they ripped that shit they took your Drake off they took my Drake off

(22:44):
wait you you positive tick-tock and put Drake song on there and they took it down they took
it down why because they um they they had a contract dispute with uh universal music
oh that money that money talking yeah but I guess it ain't talking enough don't put

(23:04):
my shirt on tick-tock they pulled me pull my drink off dog that's crazy wow that is
wild all right we're going we're gonna move on to the next key aspect next key aspect
we're blown by empowerment empowerment kind of is a broad aspect but it is we kind of
understand what it is yes it's very broad but you kind of like I think we're doing a

(23:27):
good job of narrowing it narrowing it down narrowing it down it's exactly what it means
so mm-hmm nah fuck with that we so smart shout out to us all right next key aspect
is peer support like we said talking talking with each other peer support connecting individuals

(23:51):
with peers who have lived experience of mental health challenges can provide validation encouragement
and practice guidance promoting a sense of belonging and impairment so everyone got a
story man everyone yeah like like I said I always listen to people when they talk to
me yeah because I could learn from it no I definitely because you know after you know

(24:16):
once you lose a few friends or not like them die but you know you fall out and stuff and
you start paying attention to what people say is that one of them things you pay attention
to when you get older or I think it's based on experience it's based off experience you
know you you you pay attention to a lot of things that they do in life you know like
like what they say how to hack how they carry out yeah I did lose I did lose friends like

(24:42):
that but it is what it is I'm glad I'm glad I learned I'm glad I've learned them for who
they are I'm not I'm not saying I judge them for who they are I don't know you know they
are what they are we are you know you can't you can't judge anybody that's just not you
know I just don't want to be that I just don't want to be around that person that type shit

(25:03):
it's not for me it's not for me yeah it's not like that yeah I'll be like do you yeah
but but I'm cool off you type shit yeah but uh fires the peer to peer and encouraging
that's literally you bringing people up man that's going through something or maybe they

(25:23):
doing something great give them a pat on the back tell them be proud of them you feel me
stuff like that you know man be be a thoughtful person that little stuff like that will help
empower somebody so now for real peer support help each other tell you a story listen listen

(25:48):
man listen when people talk or if every everyone got something important to say honestly you
can't just blow people off yeah hell no that's disrespectful too no for sure I agree 100%
man excuse me that drink hit me oh man happy birthday to me that was a good one but I'm

(26:12):
hungry man I don't know what to eat yeah what should I eat I said pancakes earlier pancakes
I could go to Denny's pancakes and she made some like she like diced up spam and made
it with like potatoes and cheese it was good I want to bring Waffle House to San Diego

(26:34):
you gotta add that to your bucket list bucket list you ever had Waffle House mm-hmm no no
I don't think no yes I wasn't you afforded for a minute I was but I don't think ever
ate at the Waffle House interesting yeah it's just dirty breakfast but here's good things

(26:56):
about it and then I hear bad things about people dying Waffle House yeah people don't
waffles must be banging people dying Waffle House I remember I got I remember I was living
fast I remember I was living in Virginia someone got shot up in this Waffle House like some

(27:17):
dude walked in pop killed his ass on the Waffle House in Virginia people dying Waffle House
what is a crazy place it's wicked out here it's wicked it's wicked you see them videos
of the Waffle House chefs fighting fighting customers maybe fighting customers they'd

(27:41):
be fighting each other too they'd take too long with the waffles or something I don't
know I don't know what's be going on I don't think they began paid enough I ever go up
a house I'm door-dashing I ain't going there you're not going in there it's an experience
to go in there I see that it's a life-changing experience you never know what you're gonna

(28:05):
get you never know what you're gonna get yeah you know Jesus might be in there waiting on
you I'm not gonna like it's a nice little spot to take on a little date after um after
drinking at night you know everything closed at 2 a.m. literally everything closed everywhere
at 2 a.m. it did in Virginia too so but now Waffle House now Waffle House was 24-7 we

(28:30):
making waffles 24-7 they would they would that all-star breakfast combo was 24-7 I'm
so fat bruh I'm so hungry I'm just still not going to Waffle House huh like I said if I'm
around Waffle House I'm door-dashing door-dashing no man you got to get the experience don't

(28:53):
do that to yourself it's like the experience is like bad you're not bothering nobody you're
just getting the waffles but you said homie just walked in and gets the waffles like he
had beef he had beef with somebody everyone everybody was mad at each other in in Virginia

(29:13):
for some reason hmm during that time I was there everybody was just mad at each other
or in Northland Hampton like yeah it is and it is in the Norfolk area yeah but like Hampton
Newport News type shit yeah I don't know because we're just angry be careful out there people

(29:36):
be careful man we got to improve these communities we got to attack these communities we got
to help them out I think it's the music I think it's the music it's the music and some
of that I'm gonna make positive music yeah I got let's rap about you know go get our
GEDs and eating healthy and stuff like that oh yeah let's talk about again and going to

(30:01):
sleep at 10 to wake up at 5 let's go to work I still hate that bruh that the fact that
people bro really make music I'm talking about dollars killing and slinging drugs but you
live in Beverly Hills bro like in a mansion dude like and all you doing is telling these

(30:23):
you know these poor kids out in the hood or the trenches or whatever that this is what
you had to do to get where you at right and they want to be there so guess what they're
gonna do I fuck with everything that you said I fuck with what Drake be talking about he'd
be talking about that rich shit I'm like damn I'm trying to get to that I don't understand
it but I'm trying to get to that that's what I fuck with I'm good I ain't yeah all that

(30:46):
I fuck with future too but he'd be talking about them drugs that I it's just not it's
just not very good future how you single future how you single for a long time just breaking
hearts yeah if you're not good for the for the for the people that are I got loved ones

(31:07):
love your kids don't let no one think future has it sensational you ever seen that video
huh you ever seen that video that's why the future is like sensational you became a mean
and every time it was there was something bad happening to the X or something then in

(31:32):
the future pop up like sensational I should be so toxic duck all right hell yeah don't
be toxic be a good person do we work we ran through all of my right huh no we ain't ran
through him yet but we bout to shit we bout to head into our next key aspect we almost

(32:00):
done though strength based approach it's all about building strength right when I read
that definition like it's a process to build the strength to be in you're like an empowered
individual so focusing on that one person's strength resilience and capabilities rather

(32:25):
than solely on deficits or pathology enhances self-esteem and fosters a positive sense of
self efficiency sound like confidence yeah it sounds like stop being a negative Nancy
yeah right strength not it doesn't really not telling you to go and just get super strong
in the gym you know sure go work out that's good it's not the purpose of it pretty soft

(32:49):
like a mental toughness thing you know I'm saying confidence you know I'm saying like
like I said I said the other day I was like yeah I'm I try to be confident everything
I do every morning I wake up I look myself in the mirror I said you him right I start
my day off right I'm that nigga I'm that nigga yeah I'm him straight up you know I'm saying

(33:09):
confident everything you do man you talk you know equal confidence sleep with confidence
shower with confidence stop being negative you know brush your teeth with confidence
I have a positive outlook on life that's what I want to say yeah I'm being so negative facts
yeah like shit could really be worse you ever had like this person that no matter every

(33:32):
time you talk to him it's always something negative like I'm just like I can't stand
people like that bro like dude like what good happened to you bro you know I'm saying you
woke up today the Sun is out your family safe and you know you are where you getting these

(33:53):
negatives from like I swear people just be pulling out they behinds or something dude
like people go through life like enough as it is like you got enough time to be negative
life I don't need this are you bringing that dark cloud to me bro like I'm not trying to

(34:13):
have that you know I'm saying yeah just have a positive outlook on my dad that that's a
big attribute to strength mm-hmm like if you like you just overpower yourself to just stop
being so negative it's not that bad I promise it really isn't yeah and but if it really

(34:35):
is you know that's that point where you know really you really should seek that that that
professional help if it really is that bad yeah like I said if you need it go take it
I ain't talking about drugs don't do that don't do that don't do drugs go get prescribed

(35:01):
right if you get to that point yeah we're talking to somebody honestly yeah talk to
somebody I mean like like we said we had to go see shrinks we had to go see somebody
so it ain't no shame in our game no sir we so strong now I feel better we so strong we

(35:21):
empowered her kill me oh man see you see how we is man like we just chill we just we cool
and it's like that that and you know that's just a sense you know a an example that you

(35:43):
know we're empowered individuals you know we just I mean we all go through things in
life you know but we we work into it we work into it yes sir don't think that we don't
you know don't think that we're not going to any any anything personal our life yeah
we don't keep it real it's not like we're gonna portray nothing on social media everything

(36:10):
and all good everything most of the time everything is good you know just like everybody else
but you know you see that on days yeah no sir it's life handle your business you know
take care of yourself handle your business love your love you and yourself and everything
that's around you love you and yours you know take care of you and yours and everything

(36:33):
will be alright honestly big fact shit like right now I'm just I'm just trying to improve
my situation and then you know everything will be alright after that that's all that's
all that is but alright shit alright we got some time for some stories we do let's just

(36:56):
do the I think we should do the last one here oh we get to talk about sports man finally
yeah yeah we got too much time yeah so like we we on our last key aspect oh god yeah we
are our last key aspect got time for some sports yes sir so hate that we we here we

(37:18):
reached the end but this is what it is advocacy and activism so this is the last key aspect
supporting people to engage in advocacy efforts and social activism aimed at challenging stigma
discrimination and systemic barriers and mental health care promotes empowerment at both individual

(37:45):
individual and collective levels so to sum it all up help each other talk with each other
that stigma breakthrough that shit man like we like we are a prime example of that like
we we are working together to to promote mental health because no one don't give a fuck about

(38:08):
this shit at all away this is actually us giving back to the community well yeah we
know we don't we didn't have to share our personal stories you know give up time like
this yeah for sure make time for it 16 episodes in you know consecutively yeah no no no one

(38:31):
no one is putting their gun at our head doing this no we like this choice yeah you know
we we we really like doing this honestly man yeah so like no one no one no one has a gun
over my head like I like I'm doing this on my birthday time like I want to do this like
I'm here to do this for sure you could have been like you know it's my birthday now I'm good let's

(38:53):
not do it this week or something like that but now here he is on his birthday you know giving back to
everybody trying yeah I'm not doing a thing what I don't want to say what are y'all doing
let me let me stop let me stop let me stop talking shit but let me get back on topic though

(39:19):
working with each other man
no activism so like what does it mean like like activism like like we think like we think like
like how come XM okay type stuff probably like actually doing something you know I'm saying like

(39:39):
like like before the oh yeah like before like put it like this like before the podcast
like what we do you know we we talked about doing it for a minute right you know I'm saying but then
we acted on it and actually did it actually did that shit you know I'm saying so you know be a
man of your word you know I'm saying uh you know try to make positive change in you know your daily

(40:03):
life or you know do something positive for somebody else and you know life is full of
circle what goes around comes around so definitely put positive energy in the world and um yes you
know keep believing in yourself brother and we're gonna keep it pushing dude for real handle your
business like I said handle your business take care of you what you love and you know take care

(40:28):
of you and yours and everything will fall in place honestly right coming up here on the end
of February soon so hopefully everybody still stuck to uh no procrastinating oh yeah we we've
been reached the end of the month so at the beginning of month what like what I said
I asked yourself what was your new year's resolution did you get to it are you are you

(40:52):
sticking with it did you fall off if you did let's get back on right me I just think up yeah me I
I think I think after um after the 28th I think everything will fall in place and then and then I
can ask myself that that question on March 1st like am I good did I did everything fall in place

(41:14):
did I do good did I do good type shit yeah or is there something maybe I need to do more yeah like
did I'm saying yeah like did I get closer to my goal so yeah that's it that that that wraps up um

(41:34):
environment empowerment overall empowerment and mental health recognizes people as active agents
in their own recovery and well-being emphasizing collaboration autonomy and the promotion of
personal agency and resilience uh to sum all that up all that is all that saying is

(41:56):
if you work with each other like everyone everyone gets stronger
facts imagine living in a world like that where everybody was you know doing things in the best
interests or you know the best part but everybody else you know I'm saying like if selfishness

(42:16):
wasn't even in the world bro like no wait this would be peace it'd be peaceful bro you gotta
worry about nobody stabbing on your back nobody stealing from you you know uh you know breaking
in your house or you know trying to you know holding guns you ain't gotta worry about none
of that you know that well that's it's kind of deep that's like kind of made it sound like

(42:40):
heaven a little bit but you know I'm saying so definitely uh stay positive out there keep going
you know I'm saying and and this this life life is a battle man we don't give up we don't quit
oh think about your dream find like like-minded individuals like I said like for an example if

(43:02):
you're into music you can make music if you if you're like if you're like a singer all you need
is like you know a beat maker or if you want to if you want the instruments you just got to find
musicians you know yeah network find people and how to do that and like I said internet's a big
place you know you can find people on like Facebook Instagram what else shit YouTube yeah like like we

(43:31):
like we go but like we could reach out to people and and collaborate with people you know and like
other people like do private interviews and type shit you know yeah you do you know it like we could
do type shit like that but you know the um the opportunities are broad like this out there
everything is laid out on the table for everyone but I think everything everything falls on being

(43:58):
an empowered person being strong enough to take advantage of doing that shit you feel me but look
saying seeing that we got a lot of time left the miles we'll go ahead and get into some
sports my boy oh yeah the Super Bowl finished oh yeah you see nothing bro like Kansas

(44:18):
parade bro somebody got killed and then like that's people got like injured yeah it was it was it was
at the end of the parade I still didn't know what happened like yeah that happened what is wrong with
you come on man is that what we doing bro we just shooting everybody like that is the stupidest

(44:40):
s-word I'm gonna cuss that I that I've ever seen that's right that's nasty word you're
shooting at a parade is nasty word you gotta do that on top of that bro
bro you sabotage an event where you got all these players right who work hard every single day I'm
talking about sprints since they was like six years old playing peewee football to get to this

(45:05):
very moment and they did it for your city or your city right you gonna start shooting the place
that's so disrespectful bro like actually I think they actually caught the guy or whoever did it I
read something saying that they had apprehended somebody bro man I said what happened with that

(45:26):
shit but that's insane bro like that's yeah lady died it's always you know I'm saying I get it
you know because Kansas City Chiefs fans like they're there's some strong fans bro like they
are real fan fans big fans right but and the only downside about downside about it it's like

(45:48):
you know even though it was one or two bad apples you know I'm saying that mess up the whole thing
right them two apples make all y'all look bad bro you know what I'm saying yeah like so we definitely
bro we we better than that you know I don't care if you white black red purple blue you know I'm
saying we all the same we are better than that you feel me I'm saying so hopefully the next parade

(46:14):
wherever that's gonna be at hopefully it's in Detroit you feel me or or Atlanta or Atlanta
right you know I'm saying we got the security even tighter you know I'm saying so we don't we can
minimize those types of educations or issues or whatever so but that that's embarrassing bro it

(46:38):
really is that's disgusting man I can't believe it but man no that's shitty you got it we got to do
better it's like who do you really don't value life bro like people some people really don't value

(46:58):
life or don't appreciate it bro to a point you would just go out to a parade and start shooting
bro even as a kid out there is women out there is this every like it's all kind of people out there
you know some people out there and this it's been happening frequently actually because remember I
was at the I went to the so I went to the Juneteenth at Liberty station hi you was yeah you was vowing

(47:24):
for that so I told my I told my girl about it and she said oh that was that was him yeah you viral
bro people know you from you calling people roaches yeah so let me tell you all the story
bro this shit is wild as fuck so sorry so Juneteenth right it's held at Liberty station this in San
Diego all right I just like the second year they did it I went to the first one and the first song

(47:48):
it was great you know peaceful all of that was it was nice you know hella black uh small business
owners you know selling merchandise and you know everybody mingling eating you know it's a good
time at a park so the next year come and I go again right and I go with my boy my boy Cam

(48:10):
we have some other friends too but they left early to me and Cam like you know we getting ready to
leave or whatever but we like on the little dancing section you know dancing having a good time with
everybody and then all of a sudden you hear like some dude like let off like like 10 rounds bro
in a on the dance floor bro like we all been to a club right to a party you see how compact that is

(48:35):
bro and mind you it's a park it's a black event you got kids grandparents you know moms and dads
and aunties you know saying like little girls little boys so you know I'm saying fired off
into that crowd bro right and people just scattered or no I'm saying and um like me me and Cam like we
both was like kind of military or not kind of but we were military so it wasn't like so we me and

(49:01):
him didn't really like panic how everybody else did it was kind of us like you know trying to pick
people up off the ground and help people up tell them go this way go this way go this way and stuff
like that and so me and Cam finally did that and we like looked behind us and this a dude dead bro
like on the ground like covered in blood like he was he was cooked bro all right ambulance show up

(49:26):
boom they trying to give him CPR bro just give him CPR for like 10 minutes bro
it 10 i don't know if you actually seen CPR in real life but it's intense bro it's not like the
movies bro like they was you could see his chest like caving in when they was like pressing on it
whatever so all that happened right news reporter come up was like hey man can i do an interview

(49:48):
with you this this and that you mind i don't know i want to put you on tv whatever just tell us you
know what happened and stuff like this on my own okay all right this motherfucker let me tell you
the questions this dude asked this dude asked me um he was like so after this shooting went down
you know how would you feel about slavery like how i feel about slavery what are you talking about

(50:11):
bro like i'm telling you bro the interview that he that they that the news posted bro like that he
asked me like six questions bro like i sat there and talked to him for like i was on my camera for
like five six minutes they took like 10 15 seconds of the video bro right and those 10 15 seconds bro

(50:32):
he asked me he was like you know how was everybody's reaction when the shots went up
that's like man everybody was just scattering bro like like roaches you know sound the lights come
up that's what they put on tv bro they put that on tv bro disregarded the whole five six minute
conversation we had bro and i was telling him like actual like important things and you know

(50:56):
what i'm saying stuff that people needed to hear bro he said hit they put people scattered like
roaches on television bro you want to something that's crazy bro i went to the gym like two days
later 24 hour fitness i walked in i go check in and he's like oh bro you was on the news bro you

(51:17):
was at the juneteenth thing i was like yeah i'll tell you bro you were viral you were famous we got
to find that video because we're gonna bring it up to people it's probably or not that san diego
what's that instagram daygo tv was on daygo tv yeah that's that's way too long ago bro that's crazy

(51:38):
you should have got yourself tagged on it i'm gonna tag you on it we're gonna bring that shit yeah
because that was insane bro that was crazy i can't believe you went through that hey shout out to you
helping people out man that man was that man was calm and composed he had training he knew what to
do in high stress situations there that is that was prime example of a confident individual thanks

(52:03):
bro thank you yes sir appreciate that oh wow you know i'm saying people was just all directions
scattered like it looked like bro it looked like a stampede bro like if you fail you somebody's
gonna get ran up like people was like straight trampling over each other like it was wild bro

(52:24):
like i had to like me and cam had to both catch this old lady bro who was she was running as fast
as she could she was a real old lady too she was running she had a little cigarette in her mouth too
she was like they're shooting they're shooting they're shooting she was running toward me
cam was like yo chill slow down slow down please slow down chill chill chill well she came right
up it's like me and cam had to like oh shit and then like pick her up off the ground and shit

(52:48):
you would never thought she was like 70 something years up because she hopped up like she was doing
a workout or something she hit the ground and that's that adrenaline she was trying to live
me cam was like she's trying to live she said i gotta go see my grandbaby everybody hop in their cars now everybody got people like

(53:08):
no bad you got people like you know crashing and you know speeding off and you know what i'm saying
right it's like dude like you know so yeah that happened that's wild yeah what a life
stop shooting enough of that shit man honestly put the guns up what happened what happened living a

(53:32):
peaceful life what happened what happened to the country that i loved exactly and the most
thing about is that it's the dude who who shot the dude like you don't even have to do that
like even if you don't you know i'm saying i don't know why or the reasons you know i'm saying
personally i don't think there's no justification to shoot off in the crowd for one specific person

(53:52):
i think it'd be too hurt man you know i'm saying they'd be too sensitive it's like now you made us
like bad bro because juneteenth is not allowed at liberty station they're not doing it no more so
it only lasted two years it's just a regular day at liberty station yeah at liberty station not the
place to shoot at either it's not bro it's no place is but liberty station it's like one of those cool

(54:16):
places you know for everybody yeah you know i'm saying then on top of that you you know you're
like you you see the way that now people are looking at us as a whole like just based off the
questions the dude was asking me about slavery bro what does slavery have to do with a murder
you know i'm saying like so yeah stop shooting people bro stop with the guns bro stop all of

(54:40):
that bro if you got a gun you need to keep it in the house self-defense if you can carry it in your
city you know i'm saying legally then okay i understand but don't be out here man shooting
that ain't right yeah every everything is only and only meant to protect yourself yeah like
martial arts would use protect yourself guns are used protect yourself yeah that's literally all

(55:01):
it is it's self-defense when you need it that's when you use it right but it's when it comes to
a gun it's a very thin line you know i'm saying to the point where you're okay you're authorized
to use it on somebody it's a very thin line how is you that how how did you feel that during to
use a gun in public at right and shooting the crowd for like people like kids and shit like

(55:26):
a thousand people scarred kids and all scarred really not helping nobody with that with that
shit that shit hurts man stop shooting leave the guns at home so do how do your disputes like like
real like regular people yeah talk it out if you got to do get out do that shoot do that too it is
what it is yeah for i rather you fight you didn't kill you know i'm saying but nobody has to lose a

(55:56):
life over over over a dispute like how like you did not feel that drained enough to to shoot some
like to kill that man like that yeah and i don't think people think it through like you kill
somebody brother some right now you in prison but that person's brother that you killed like that
whoever was close to that brother now this person want to retaliate against the old fam and then now

(56:22):
it's just back and forth for generations you know what i'm saying yeah no yeah you really you really
do make a name for everyone when you do shit like that yes i you know people people i people don't
care i i think i think that it all boils down to i feel like we should care more but you don't

(56:46):
realize that until it's too late or you get older yeah that's all we're telling y'all now while you're
young yes absorb this information if you if you see it you know listen to us man like we're telling
y'all real shit this is this is real life shit fact so actually real you can really go look it up
and you will see my group he has on camera talking about roaches and shit we gotta find that video

(57:11):
you viral bro you are known talking about everyone in san diego knows you yeah
that's funny but all right man we don't reach the end this is it this was
not that long but hey it is what it is good top good topic good story good stories we talk about

(57:32):
some real shit empowerment is is empowerment really is really everything that we talked about
before you know with resilience you know controlling your emotions and talking with people
you know if you work with somebody you become a strong individual like i could not do this
podcast without you my brother so i appreciate that see that that's empowering me folks but

(57:58):
work with people hey like like like we said before like you know to make music you need
you need a beat maker you need a singer you need all this to make a dream so do what you gotta do
make your dream handle your business be a strong person it is a process so you do have to work do
it learn do it but that's why we're telling you right now look stuff up on the internet

(58:23):
on the internet you know know more if you know more you can do more educate yourself educate
yourself but hey we wrapping up peace out all right folks all right

(58:58):
