Sasha Blossom is a licensed counselor based in South Africa. Her practice, Therapy with Blossom, operates from a holistic angle — what she calls ‘MindBodySoul healing.’ She uses a range of tools, including psychology, hormone health, yoga, gut health, nature therapy, sexology & more to guide her clients on their journey of healing trauma & returning to a state of connection, joy, self-compassion & peace. In today's episode, Sasha shared why we need to focus holistic healing versus just talking therapy. She shares her thoughts on the connection between the nervous system and trauma on things like gut heath and hormones. She shares how she works with clients experiencing trauma by using tools such as yoga. She shares how she was able to address her own hormonal imbalances after being misdiagnosed with a mental health disorder.
We also discussed trauma bonding and her thoughts on narcissistic abuse.
