In today's episode, I sit down with Leontine, a T1D of 30 years from the Netherlands. Leontine's diagnosis is another example of a broken system and how we aren't being seen, heard, or listened too. We discussed her Diabetes challenges, being diagnosed at 20 years old and starting her modeling career, and how she was able to overcome the obstacles in her life. For all of you ladies, we also talked about her symptoms and challenges going through menopause and the lack of support and fundamental understanding there is out there.
