In this inspirational conversation, Dr. Gary Sherman shares a discussion with organ donation advocate, Jen Benson. Jen graduated high school from the Frankfurt International school in Germany, and went on to Wheaton College in Norton, Massachusetts, earning her bachelor’s degree in philosophy.
Her interests were in both medicine and fashion, and while she explored both of those fields, it took a dual transplant of her pancreas and kidney, and the selflessness of her donor family for Jen to find her real purpose in life, that of Organ Donation.
So today, Jen resides in Connecticut and is the founder of The Transplant Journey, Inc. Jen is the epitome of survival and thrival and is with me to share her story today-

Intentionally Disturbing
Join me on this podcast as I navigate the murky waters of human behavior, current events, and personal anecdotes through in-depth interviews with incredible people—all served with a generous helping of sarcasm and satire. After years as a forensic and clinical psychologist, I offer a unique interview style and a low tolerance for bullshit, quickly steering conversations toward depth and darkness. I honor the seriousness while also appreciating wit. I’m your guide through the twisted labyrinth of the human psyche, armed with dark humor and biting wit.
