That heavy weight on your shoulders isn't crushing you—it's crowning you. When everything feels like it's falling apart, when you're questioning every decision, when your bank account doesn't match your dreams—this pressure point isn't your exit sign. It's your confirmation that breakthrough is closer than you think.

We've all been there—mining for diamonds with tired arms, ready to turn back just inches from striking gold. The resistance intensifies right before the shift because your old mindset is throwing its final tantrum. Your nervous system craves the safety of what's familiar, but your spirit was made for freedom. And freedom always costs something.

This episode unpacks why most people abandon their journey right before breakthrough happens. I share my own raw struggles with wanting to retreat to comfort, applying for jobs I know I'm not meant to take, and fighting those internal battles nobody sees. But here's what I've learned: when everything feels tight—your money, your emotions, your time—that's not your cue to quit. It's your invitation to stand firm. Your breakdown isn't your ending; it's your birthing. And sometimes labor pain comes right before you hold your promise.

So before you cancel the ride, remember someone has prayed for you to walk in your purpose. Your breakthrough is already in motion. The question isn't if it's coming—it's whether you'll be there to receive it when it arrives. Tag me @theheartshello with your biggest takeaway, and leave a review if this message found you right when you needed it.

Speaker 1 (00:00):
Whew, I caught you just in time, because I know
that you are hearing the whisper.
I know that you are feeling theheaviness.
I know that you are feelinglike you are about to break, and
let me just tell you right nowthat that is not your cue to
quit.
It is your confirmation thatyou are closer than you think.
Y'all, I'm feeling this way too, and so, if I'm feeling this, I

(00:25):
know that you tune in andlisten to me, talk each and
every week.
So I am thankful and gratefulfor each one of you, but let me
tell you something that you areon the right track.
You are on the right path andyou will not detour as you are
getting ready to hit thisbreakthrough because you are
closer than you think.

(00:46):
Yeah, I'm coming in hot todaybecause I know that this episode
is going to hit you right whenyou feel like you are tired.
I know that you are questioningeverything that you've prayed
for.
I know that you are fightingbattles that nobody sees, and

(01:14):
for that one who is listening, who has been holding on and is
secretly thinking about lettinggo, don't detour, don't give up
this pressure.
This moment is holy, so let'stalk about it.
See, when I say that I amfeeling the pressure too.
Y'all, this weight is heavywhen I say that I have cried

(01:39):
tears that I didn't even know Ineeded to cry, when I say that I
can be in a moment of feelingsome type of way and then laugh
in the next and then unsure inthe next.
This space hits different whenyou are used to being able to go

(02:04):
and do the things that you wantto do, when you are used to not
having to double check yourbank account to see if this is a
purchase that you absolutelyneed to make.
This season is hitting differentand you can feel the weight.

(02:27):
You can feel it on yourshoulders, you can feel it in
your gut, but you know deep downthat if you detour now, all of
the work that you have beenputting in is going to go to
waste.
I'm feeling it becauseeverything in me has me

(02:54):
constantly applying for jobsthat I know that I am not
supposed to take and at the sametime, I'm like God.
I'm out here, I'm treadingwater.
Do you see your daughter?
Do you hear my cries?
Do you see where I am?

(03:15):
And he's like yeah, I see youand I got you.
You're not out here byhappenstance.
You're not just going throughthis chapter of your life for no
good reason.
There's a reason why you areout here in the deep.
There is a reason why you arefeeling all of this weight and

(03:39):
this pressure, and what I'mtelling you is, as I'm telling
myself, that what you thinkabout this breakdown is getting
ready to be your breakthrough.
I know that breakdown, beforethe breakthrough, it don't feel
good and I just want you to.

(04:02):
I want you to sit in it, justjust for a little while longer.
Just for a little while longer.
It's not going to break you.
It's not going to break you.
So I have a question for you.
Have you ever noticed how, wheneverything seems like it's going
haywire, that's right beforesomething major is getting ready

(04:26):
to happen?
When you feel like the deal hasfell through, when you feel
like the unexpected bill hasshown up, when you feel ghosted
and criticized and overlooked, and then, all of a sudden, you
feel like the path that was you, that you were on, that you were
once so confident in, now feelsblurry and unsteady.

(04:47):
I know it's not a coincidence,that's just a little bit of
resistance.
And it shows up right beforethe shift.
Why?
Because pressure alwaysintensifies when you're close to

(05:08):
something sacred.
Have you all ever seen thatimage where you have the person
with the axe pick and they arein this tunnel and they are
mining for diamonds, and it'sone person up at the top and
then it's another person at thebottom and they're they're both

(05:29):
digging, and then you have thisone person who is turned around
and they are so defeated andthen there's another person that
is coming right behind them andin the spot that they had
already dug.
They were so close but becausethey had been swinging that axe
for so long and digging for solong, they didn't realize how

(05:55):
close they were to theirbreakthrough.
And, like I said, if I'm beingcompletely honest, that's how I
feel.
I feel like, ok, I keepswinging this axe, but my arms
are getting tired.
I'm going to keep swinging thisaxe because I know that I have

(06:21):
come too far to turn back.
Now, even as we're in themiddle of this 40 day challenge,
when we're talking aboutwalking through these 40 days
and walking through thewilderness to get to the other
side, when you're looking atwhere you are and you're
realizing that you're standingin the middle, it's too far for
you to go back and if you juststay focused on the goal that

(06:42):
you have in front of you, that Iknow it's hard, but you got to
keep going.
So this, this space that youmay be feeling like, I'm feeling
it too.
See, like I said, that I'm inthis season where everything

(07:03):
looks like.
I'm in the season whereeverything looks like, keyword,
looks like is falling apart.
But I have to look at and I'mbeginning to train my mind and
look at all of the good thingsthat are happening.
See, when we're going throughtough times, when we're getting

(07:28):
ready to go through ourbreakthrough, everything appears
to be 10 times larger than itreally is, and that's because
that's where our focus is.
And so if we begin to shift ourmindset and realign with the

(07:49):
goal that we have set, yes, again that it may feel hard
right now and that you may bequestioning your gifts.
You may even be questioningyour purpose.
See, I've been receiving thesecalls from individuals who want

(08:13):
me to come work in thisfinancial space and for those of
you all who know that's mybackground, oh, come on and do
some financial planning and doall of these things, and that
sounds great because that'swhere my comfort is.
But if I make that decision togo down that path.

(08:38):
What exactly is it that I'mleaving behind?
Because it's not in alignmentwith where I'm getting ready to
go.
It's not in alignment withwhere I'm pushing towards.
Yes, it's great to be presentedwith these opportunities, but

(09:00):
what do I have to leave behindin order to get it, and is it
worth it?
Because there are so manypeople who are waiting on you,
who are waiting on me, and if Idetour now, they're still going

(09:24):
to be in their place, waitingfor me to show up.
That's just like if you haveasked for or requested a ride
from Uber and you are looking atthe map, waiting on the car,
the person to arrive to pick youup, and then they cancel the

(09:48):
round.
But you still need a ride, though right?
Same thing applies for yourpurpose, for your gifts, for
those things that you know thatyou are supposed to be doing.
Someone has prayed for you towalk in your purpose, someone
has prayed for you to continuethe ride, and if you cancel now,

(10:11):
what will happen?
So I'm encouraging you as I'mencouraging myself, and I just
want you to know don't move, just stand, don't move, just
stand, don't move, just stand, because the right door is

(10:40):
getting ready to open.
The resources that you need areright there.
Stay in alignment, even whileyou are trembling.
Do not detour, do not quit.
You do not want to miss what isgetting ready to happen in your

(11:01):
life.
You do not want to miss what isgetting ready to happen in your
life.
And so why is it that mostpeople quit right before it
happens?
And here's the real Because, when you are in proximity to

(11:22):
your breakthrough, your oldmindset throws a tantrum.
Your nervous system, it screamsfor safety.
Your trauma patterns try todrag you back to familiarity.
But you weren't born and youweren't built for familiarity.
You were built for freedom, andfreedom it always costs you

(11:42):
something.
So this is why renewing yourmind is necessary in this season
, because you cannot walk intothe new with yesterday's thought
patterns.
You cannot keep entertaining, detour thoughts and expect a
destination shift.
Thoughts and expect adestination shift.

(12:03):
Yeah, I know you were gettingready to give up.
Yeah, I know you were gettingready to accept that call.
Yeah, I know that you weregetting ready to go back to what
is comfortable.
Me too.
I was too, and as I'm talkingto you, I'm sitting here.

(12:24):
Well, I shouldn't say sittinghere because when, anytime I'm
doing and recording a episode, Iam pacing back and forth.
So if you could see me rightnow I am pacing back and forth
with my hands on my head tryingto figure out what exactly is it
that I'm supposed to be doingright now.

(12:48):
Because easy looks good rightnow, familiar looks good right
now.
Then I think I've got so far, whoo, I've got so far.

(13:10):
So, yeah, I'm recording thiswith tears in my eyes.
Whoo, telling you don't give.
You're almost there, you arealmost there.

(13:36):
So if you're looking for thesigns that you're getting closer
than you think, here it is.
Everything feels tight, yourmoney feels tight, your emotions
feel tight, your time feelstight, your energy feels tight.
You're being called to let goof things that used to comfort

(14:00):
you that your clarity is gettingclear, and so, even while your
surroundings may look chaotic,if you just maybe wipe the tears
away, if you just turn down thenoise a little bit, you will

(14:24):
see this glimmer and it's yourclarity.
It's right there.
You may feel exposed, seen andstretched, but you're not broken
.
So, if that's you, you're notbroken.
So, if that's you, you're notlost, you're becoming.

(14:50):
So what can you do instead ofquitting.
I need you to sit in silenceand get still and ask yourself
what is this moment teaching me?
The second thing I need you todo is speak life.
I will not quit in the middle.

(15:15):
I will see this through andthen reach out.
Reach out to those who you canspeak truth to when your mind's
spinning lies.
See, remember, I've shared withyou before that the only

(15:37):
playground that the devil has isyour mind.
He can only throw thoughts.
So if that's what you know, every time that thought comes up
, you're going to have to castit down Because it is going to

(15:58):
be contrary to what you need tohear right now.
That lie is going to sound soloud You're going to think it's
the truth and I promise you it'snot.
So you're going to have tospeak against every lie that is

(16:20):
being told.
Why speak against it?
Cast it down?
Because there will be nofoothold that we will allow the
devil to come in and to startspewing negative thoughts, start
spewing lies.

(16:42):
They are not real, real.
And then I need you to go backto your why.
I need you to reconnect withthe version of you who started
this, that fire that you had inyour belly.

(17:02):
It's still there.
So, yeah, friend, I get it.
I get that it's hard, but thestory, the testimony that is
going to come on the other sideof this, you will pass this test

(17:25):
, you will get through to theother side.
You have come too far to thinkthat you are going to go back to
what is comfortable, becausethat means that this test you're
going to have to take again.
And we are in a season where weare not retaking tests.

(17:46):
We know better.
In a season where we are notretaking tests, we know better.
This is not the first time thatyour back has been up against
the wall.
This is not the first time thatyour faith has been tested.
This is not the first timewhere you have felt like giving
up, and this will not be thelast, because every level that

(18:09):
you get to, you're going to havea test that you're going to
have to pass, and each levelgets harder because you feel
like that you have come so farand you have so much to lose.
But let me tell you somethingyou will not lose anything in
this season.
God has already declared thatyou are a victory, that you are

(18:34):
victorious.
Victory is yours, the blessingsare yours.
The word says that the kingdomsuffers violence and the violent
take it by force.
So, what you want you're goingto have to fight for what you

(18:57):
want.
You're going to have to keeppressing for what you want.
You're going to have to crythrough in order to get to it.
What you want is right there infront of you.
Will you go after it and get it?
Because no one is coming tosave you.
You're going to have to saveyourself this time.
You're going to have to walk itout on your own this time.

(19:23):
So let me just remind you, friend, that this is not your
ending.
It's your birthing, andsometimes labor pain comes right
before you hold the promise.
So don't detour, don't downplaywhat's happening and, whatever
you do, do not quit, not now,not when you're this close.

(19:50):
So here's your affirmation forthe week I am not behind, I am
not broken, I am not too late, Iam on divine schedule and my
breakthrough is already inmotion, is already in motion.

(20:14):
So if this episode found youand it's telling you that you
should not quit in this season, take this as your sign to stay,
and then I want you to send thisto someone who's on the edge.
Let's remind each other thatquitting is not the only option.
We will press through.
We will win because we arevictorious.
