Red Hawks RISE at Union Schools!- RISE Students and Teacher, Addie Tipton Ep. 177

We have an entrepreneurial crew for you this week on Episode 177 of The Hidden Workforce!

Welcome students and teacher, Addie Tipton from Union’s Red Hawk R.I.S.E. program!

Union describes the program is, “Spearheaded by Transition Coordinator Emily O’Shaughnessy and Transition Program Teacher Addison Tipton, the goal is to ensure students are “Ready, Independent, Skilled and Empowered” for life after they age out of the school system at 22. Curriculum is tailored to meet each student’s needs, which O’Shaughnessy and Tipton begin to determine as early as possible.

‘We work the first two years to help educate the individual and the family of options Tulsa has to offer and then spend the last two years working toward their post-secondary goals. Our goal is for the day after their last day in the program to look exactly as the day before.’”

These students and this program exemplify the hidden workforce! These students are breaking glass ceilings and stereotypes and working toward their dream jobs!
