The Higher Calling is a podcast covering biblical principles and Christian ethics as preached in church services at the Avondale Church of God in Avondale, AZ. The purpose of the podcast is to deliver meaningful biblical concepts that address the human condition and its relationship with God to anyone looking for a supplemental bible study. As the apostle Paul wrote in a letter to a young minister named Timothy: All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works. (The Holy Bible, KJV, 2Ti 3:16-17). The scriptures of the Old and New Testament, rather than popular cultural attitudes, or the ideas of some particular religious organization should be applied as a template for correct moral conduct addressing all areas of life.
