Failing at PLAY: The Honest Truth About My Word of the Year

In this vulnerable and honest solo episode, I’m pulling back the curtain on my word of the year—PLAY—and how, despite my best intentions, I’ve been struggling to truly live it out.

Inspired by reading Year of Yes by Shonda Rhimes earlier this year, I set out to say YES to more joy, spontaneity, and connection. But life got busy, old habits kicked in, and somewhere along the way… PLAY took a backseat.

I’m sharing what’s been hard, the little wins I’m celebrating, and why this journey isn’t about perfection—it’s about awareness, permission to pivot, and coming back to what matters.

Whether you’ve drifted from your own word of the year or just need a reminder that you’re not alone in the messy middle—this episode is for you.

In This Episode, I Talk About:

  • How Year of Yes inspired my word of the year
  • The real-life challenges of living out “PLAY” as a busy mom and entrepreneur
  • Why failure isn’t the end—it’s just feedback
  • How I’m learning to realign and say YES again
  • A gentle reminder that it’s okay to come back to your intentions, even if you’ve wandered
