E61: Free to Learn With Dr. Peter Gray / School is New, Education is Not

Hello and welcome back to the campfire! Today we have the honor of Dr. Peter Gray joining us. Dr. Peter Gray is a research professor of Psychology at Boston College, TEDx Speaker, founding member of the Alliance for Self-Directed Education, and Author of 'Free to Learn: Unleashing the Instinct to Play Will Make Our Children Happier, More Self-Reliant, and Better Students for Life'.   His TEDx speech, The Decline of Play, has reached over 500,000 downloads and his book, Free to Learn, has touched the lives of thousands of families around the world, including our own!  Dr. Gray’s concept of free play and his in depth research on a child’s ability to learn and grow have changed how families and academics alike view modern education.  So grab a seat by the fire as we speak with Peter about giving our children the freedom to learn.
