We discuss the weird, wonderful world of social media, quirky southern lifestyles and finding common ground with folks from all over the country!

Jimmie and Daniel Caudle married during his deployment to Iraq. Five kids, 11 moves, another deployment, and one close call with a serial killer later they are rocking the farm life at Fleur de Lis Farm in Taft, TN. We live our veterans and our farmers so this episode is a double bonus.

Bimbo and Ami visit the remarkable Wilna Gentry, the 96 year old matriarch of the Gentry family. Seated at her kitchen table with 5 of her 12 grown children, "Mama Gentry" shares how she guided her family through adversity with love to spare.

Bimbo and Ami visit with 5 special veterans who served in the World War 2, Viet Nam and Korea eras. Three of our guests, saw combat time in Japan and Viet Nam. Greg Conroy and Morley Levine fought in Viet Nam. Morley was wounds and came back a changed man. Alexander Barrow fought in World War II and was off the coast of Japan when the bomb was dropped! We are honored they allowed us to help tell their stories.

Ami and Bimbo respond to a request from listeners to share entertaining tips and hints. The secret is teamwork and realistic expectations! There is always a reason to celebrate so let’s get the party started!

October is pregnancy loss month. Pregnancy loss happens more often than most people realize. It’s part of many people’s experience but it’s hard to talk about. Bimbo talks to Ami and daughter Candice about their pregnancy losses and how it has affected their family in sad and happy ways.

The McBurg Trail Ride has been a tradition for about 25 years. Lots of memories and thousands of dollars have been generated by this event. In honor of the last ride, Ami and Bimbo reminisce and express gratitude for all who have contributed to this great event.

Nick and Binal Patel are nothing short of local celebrities in The Honey Bee Hill neck of the woods. Nick stopped by for a neighborly afternoon visit and we discuss how a boy born in India ends up a business owner, employer, mentor and pillar of the community in rural Tennessee. There are obvious differences in our culture and traditions but there is so much more that connects us.
