So no shit.
SPEAKER_00 (01:21):
Hell yeah.
You're you're the first one.
I just told Noel, um, you're thefirst one in the new studio.
We just moved.
Um, so you're the firstinterview in the new studio,
man.
Well, we're happy to be here.
SPEAKER_01 (01:34):
And I also like that
you wore your uh Green Ranger uh
costume, Chris.
That's a throwback to theconversation that has happened.
SPEAKER_00 (01:42):
Dude, your guys'
interview that we did last time
was so fun, and honestly, thefans loved it.
It might be like one of thefavorite episodes of our entire
show, hands down.
Um, you guys also have created ahandful of super fans from our
show.
Uh, specifically Chris.
(02:02):
Chris is a super fan if I'veever seen one.
SPEAKER_03 (02:07):
Yeah, I won't shut
up.
SPEAKER_01 (02:09):
So well, no, please
tell us how great we are.
SPEAKER_00 (02:14):
I've had it, I've
had it, man.
I I I've been waiting for thismoment.
I'm so excited.
SPEAKER_03 (02:19):
Oh, dude, guys, like
it's yeah, I don't I don't even
know what to say.
I think I own every song youguys have on Apple Podcast.
I think.
No way.
If I'm missing one, like tellme.
SPEAKER_01 (02:34):
I appreciate it.
I was joking about that, though.
You don't have to tell us howgood, bro.
SPEAKER_04 (02:40):
I need somebody
that's not my mom to also be
also being allowed.
SPEAKER_01 (02:44):
All the listeners
are gonna be like, Man, I kind
of like this band, but they seemgot douchebags.
SPEAKER_00 (02:49):
No, couldn't could
be further from the truth, man.
You guys are awesome.
Um, no, you your music'sobviously incredible.
We went over that a little bitlast time.
We're gonna dive more into thatthis time.
Um, because last last show wasmore of a get to know you guys.
This show is gonna be a littlemore in-depth.
Um, but I know Chris has somespecific questions on a few
songs.
(03:09):
Uh, we're here to celebrate WishYou the Best, though.
Let's talk about let's talkabout that for a minute.
Um, what a sonic shift, literally from the last time.
Like Wish You the Best is sodifferent than better now.
SPEAKER_01 (03:25):
Really?
You think so?
Wow.
SPEAKER_00 (03:27):
Yeah, yeah.
I feel like yeah, I feel likeyou leaned far more into the pop
than than the last time, and Ithought the last one was really
pop heavy, but this one is farmore of the electronic side.
SPEAKER_01 (03:41):
Nice, yeah.
Well, I mean, I I pretty yeah, Imean, I produced those songs uh
together, but that's cool tohear that.
This is what I'm going for, soI'm guessing getting closer.
SPEAKER_00 (03:52):
Now, the um guitar
though, Noelle, fucking brutal
in that song, man.
You kill it in that one.
Well, thank you.
SPEAKER_06 (04:02):
A lot of that, well,
a lot of that writing does come
from from from Gage, and so alot of stuff just kind of gets
sometimes maybe maybe ad-libbedor switched alive, but mainly
for studio stuff, it's a lot ofwhat gage has in the dome, and
then he just lets it rip on thesession.
And we do fine-tune and oh,dude, let's do this, that, and
there.
(04:22):
And then Andrew also puts hisspice in there as well with some
lead lines and like measures ofof things.
But overall, I would I wouldagree with you though that it is
more of a shift from even frombetter now.
I think it's that bridge songthat connects the old stuff to
the new stuff where yeah, thatone sits in the pocket where it
could it could grab both, andthen wish you the best is more
(04:43):
of that.
Um, this is what it's kind ofgonna be like for a little bit,
right?
SPEAKER_00 (04:49):
Right.
Um, how are we how are weenjoying uh the reactions to the
two songs comparatively?
SPEAKER_01 (04:58):
Um people seem to
love it.
I mean, we have pushed harder onthese two songs than I think
we've ever pushed in the othersongs, but it seems to be
working and people seem to uh toenjoy it.
I will say I I think I can speakfor everybody when I say that
like those songs are like kindof a high point in our set.
We just got off sword, so likethat was like those the new
songs are like there's a lot ofenergy there, and I think it
(05:19):
goes off really well.
SPEAKER_00 (05:22):
What about you,
Tyler?
How do you how you feeling aboutit?
SPEAKER_04 (05:24):
So wish you the best
for me, like legitimately.
I mean, I feel like it fits inwith better now, but it feels to
me like a modern version of likea Forever the Sickest Kids song.
If Forever the Sickest Kids isstill like dropping albums,
that's what it really feels liketo me, and I love them.
So when we're playing that live,I'm like running around.
I think uh I think it was thestop in Atlanta.
(05:47):
I was like, there was a drumriser for a drummer on tour that
was like 10 feet above theground, it was so high up that
it was like I'm 6'4, and I'mtelling you, his drums were
sitting higher than my head upthere, and I was running around
the side, jumping up on hisstage with him just to play that
song because that song gets mehyped.
SPEAKER_00 (06:08):
That's awesome, man.
Um, Noel, how's the reactionbeen for you?
SPEAKER_06 (06:14):
I like it a lot.
The biggest tell for me um hasbeen live because it's
interesting to mix obviously theold songs with these newer songs
because it is really two, it'slike two different sounds, two
different types of people, youknow.
And so for me, for them to likefit in well and get received
(06:34):
well, even inside of the sameset, um, that's like the big
validation for me, where notthat I didn't have any faith in
them or like thought, you know, anything that they weren't gonna
be like great, but uh for me,that's just the tell where if
the same group of people thatcame to watch us because they
heard the old stuff, but theylike this stuff, is gonna be the
(06:54):
probably the biggest part ofvalidation for myself.
So I like it, I dig it.
I've gotten good uh at least forme visually, I've gotten good um
uh reception to it all.
SPEAKER_00 (07:06):
So do you guys dive
into reading um comments at all
on your stuff?
SPEAKER_01 (07:11):
Yes, I read all the
comments.
SPEAKER_00 (07:13):
Oh do you comments?
SPEAKER_04 (07:15):
Gage actively does
read all the comments, he
doesn't even know this, but Igot like multiple YouTube
accounts, and one of the onesback in the day, like I'll go on
there and he'll reply to me, andhe didn't even know he answered.
He answered me on something.
But like legitimately, I'll gocheck like after the fact, and
Gage has actively readeverything.
SPEAKER_01 (07:35):
Tyler's just making
Brennick accounts to fuck with
me, dude.
SPEAKER_06 (07:38):
Yeah, dude.
This is how you gas like yoursinger, bro.
Bro, I just logged into theYouTube and fucking Toaster
Muncher left a comment fouryears ago.
I'm gonna sucks.
SPEAKER_00 (07:51):
So if it first off,
Gage, you gotta stop reading the
comments.
Number one.
Number two, um, you're you'refar too famous for that shit.
Uh number two, um there, I don'tremember what song it was, but
somebody put a comment thatsaid, I came for the covers and
I stayed for the originals.
(08:11):
Is that like the best reactionfor you guys?
Is like being known for so longas the guys that did this cover
song or that cover song to havea fan base that came to see
those types of things and thenend up saying, Oh, I love their
original stuff too.
SPEAKER_01 (08:29):
Yeah, I mean, yeah,
absolutely.
And that was the intention.
I mean, all the covers are alljust like marketing, right?
Conversion to bring them in tothe to the originals.
So, I mean, people like that, that's exactly what we're we're
trying to do.
So, yeah, man.
Well, the cover can work.
SPEAKER_06 (08:45):
Yeah, because you
don't really want to be to where
it's the other story where it'slike, oh man, I wish their
originals were better than thecovers, or I wish I like their
yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_01 (08:52):
Yeah, no kidding.
SPEAKER_00 (08:54):
Do you feel like one
of the greatest compliments that
you guys could get is for um forsomebody to say something along
the lines of like, oh, theirversion of this song is what I
know as the original?
Like so great example, Nirvana'slive album.
Half of that album is covers, but for 15 years I thought it
(09:17):
was their songs, didn't realizethey were covers for a very long
time.
SPEAKER_06 (09:21):
Yeah, exactly.
With uh Man Who Sold the World,I didn't know that one.
SPEAKER_00 (09:24):
Right, right.
Yeah, so like you you synonymizethem with the original, yeah,
you know, so it would that belike the biggest compliment for
you guys for somebody to belike, Oh, I thought that was
your song.
SPEAKER_01 (09:37):
Um, I mean, maybe.
I mean, I think that just meansthat they heard it first.
I've gotten that reaction a lotfor ghosts by Justin Bieber.
Um, that's the one where peopleare always like, Oh, I thought
this was your song.
Actually, what my kid, dude, heuh heard the Justin Bieber song
like on the radio in the car, like during with his mom.
And uh apparently he was supermad that like, why is he singing
(10:01):
Gage's song?
And yeah, and then uh uh I alsohad one where uh a buddy of mine
uh he said he was shopping likein the grocery store and he
heard it come on, uh, and hethought it was like a cover of
our song.
So that's awesome.
Yeah, that that that JustinBieber cover specifically has
(10:22):
has gotten that.
But I think that's just becausea lot of like core kids don't
listen to like Justin Bieberdeep cuts, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_00 (10:27):
I was gonna say,
yeah, that's a deep cut Justin's
Justin Bieber song.
So like of course, you knowthat, but that's similarly, like
nobody knew Man Who Sold theWorld, you know what I mean?
Like I didn't know that was aDavid Bowie song, and I also
love the David Bowie version, but like I think of Nirvana when
I think of that song.
Um, and and I think that's socool to see like music be able
(10:48):
to carry on a new life fromartists who can bring a new
version or a new image to it.
Um what the all of this led intoa different question.
What is going to be the newcover song for this new sound?
You guys are you gotta becooking up something, right?
SPEAKER_01 (11:09):
We we're focused on
originals um right now, just
because we have so many towrite.
I mean, we got we have to finishthe CP that's upcoming, there's
more to come after that.
So I mean, we've got a lot oforiginal songs to write.
Um I think if we were to justlike choose one, it would
probably be like anotherthrowback cover.
Um, or on the opposite end, ifthere was just some song that
(11:32):
came out that was just on fireand like the biggest thing in
the world right now, and wegenuinely loved it, then we'd
cover that too.
But as far as like actively likecooking stuff up, I mean I've
got tons of covers on my laptopright here, but it's nothing
that's like we're seriouslycooking up right now or
anything.
SPEAKER_03 (11:49):
So love Gage, I'm so
happy to hear that because I was
one of those where it's like, ohdude, the covers are sweet, you
know what I mean?
My wife straight upset, just apanty dropper, and uh and and
then I started deep diving and Iwas like, Oh my god, I love this
song.
Bye.
Oh my god, I love this song, bye.
Like, so what is the cover?
(12:10):
What's this, Justin Bieber?
I do not own this one.
SPEAKER_00 (12:13):
Uh Ghost.
Um you probably do have it andthink it's their song.
unknown (12:20):
Probably do.
SPEAKER_01 (12:22):
Yeah, that's uh
sorry, sorry, Bieber.
SPEAKER_06 (12:27):
Um he's got enough
money, dude.
He's okay.
SPEAKER_00 (12:33):
So we're coming off
a tour.
How was the tour?
Because you guys haven't been ontour in a little bit, and this
(13:10):
one was a little more spread outthan your last one, right?
So how how was the new image oflike ghosts being on a new
label, um, transitioning into anew family dynamic with that
label and just having kind ofthat backing behind you on this
(13:31):
tour?
How do you feel that went?
SPEAKER_01 (13:35):
It was like an
entirely, it was almost it's
almost like being a new bandwith um a couple old songs that
we play, almost like but yeah, because we're everything's new.
I mean, from from the songs tolike you're saying, the label to
the merch, a lot of these uhmarkets are the first time that
we play these markets too.
So it's like just from top tobottom.
(13:56):
Uh it's like being a new band.
SPEAKER_00 (13:58):
So yeah.
I will say, Peter promised meyou're gonna be coming to
Virginia.
That was a promise made, sodon't forget.
SPEAKER_01 (14:07):
I got you.
I got you.
We'll do one in person.
SPEAKER_04 (14:10):
Next band meeting,
we'll get on on that.
SPEAKER_00 (14:13):
Okay, yeah, there
you go.
You don't he said, Don't worry,they're coming.
I said, All right, because I'mgonna be there.
Um, so I know we're cooking onthis new EP.
Can you give me a little insightto the next song we might expect
to come out?
SPEAKER_01 (14:31):
So I think the next
thing to come out is gonna be
the EP, uh, not another song, but we do have one of the other
three songs done.
So one of those three songs.
We were playing it live on tour.
Uh, it's a song called Like IDo.
I think it's my favorite on therecord, to be honest.
Um, I think so.
I think that might be myfavorite.
But um, yeah, it's super cool.
Uh the uh the rock parts rockharder, the EDM parts EDM
(14:54):
harder.
SPEAKER_06 (14:54):
So, you know, so
yeah, so it's like kind of one
of those where if you thoughtbetter now was a cool blend of
like this style and that style,um, and then if you thought that
better now was more on thisside, then now it's like if you
were to combine Wishy the bestand better now, and now this is
right in now that pocket.
(15:16):
So that is where I think we'relanding on what sound we're
going for, but it just could bebecause kind of we've all had a
collective in insight on it.
Um, it still comes from the sameprocess where, like, you know,
Gage writes and has the bigchunk of that done, and then
Andrew writes some licks on it,and then we all kind of oversee
and have a community input on ittowards the towards the tail
(15:40):
end.
But that song I'd say if likeyou were to literally blend
those two because it's likebecause if you thought Wishy the
Best was more synth andelectronic, like I do, is a more
like rock version of that.
SPEAKER_00 (15:53):
I'm loving the
evolution, man.
Like the evolution is so cool.
I love the sound that you guysare developing, and I like that
you're doing it within thealbum, you know what I mean?
I like that that we're able tokind of like piece together what
this new sound, this new imageis gonna be and be able to see
the next step of that in thefuture.
(16:14):
Um, are you guys anticipating?
Because I know you said you gota lot to write right now.
Are you anticipating?
I mean, you must be uhanticipating next steps after
this EP.
SPEAKER_01 (16:27):
Yeah, um, after
that, it's gonna be probably
just honestly more touring andmore pushing that EP until um
it's time to drop the next one,and it just doesn't stop.
SPEAKER_06 (16:36):
But yeah, and then
we're gonna yeah, and then we're
gonna go back to metal.
SPEAKER_01 (16:40):
So no, we're
actually uh I don't know, we're
gonna do like Americana.
Well, actually, we we do likereally fuck heavy with country
music, so that might be anotheryou guys gonna go the post
Malone route?
I mean, like we well, we coveredthat song.
We cut that was another yeah, sothis is a deep cut here.
SPEAKER_06 (17:05):
Now that you like
you said that it's not gonna
happen, but this brought thisjust joggled my memory.
But so I'm not a big fan of likebluegrass because that's like
way another subgenre of countrythat's like I won't even really
touch anything about it.
But I found this YouTube channelthat this band called the
Beverlies, and they're abluegrass band, and they did a
(17:25):
cover uh Red Hot Chili Peppersby the way.
Oh no shit, and that's and thattoday, like to date, has become
now my favorite version of thatsong because it's so sick.
So look up like by the way, bluegrass cover, the Beverlies.
Like, look it up because it goespretty hard.
SPEAKER_00 (17:49):
I gotta cue it up
for after this.
I'm definitely gonna listen tothat.
Dude, I love the chili pepper somuch.
SPEAKER_06 (17:55):
It was a it was a
sweet treat that I found just
one day on YouTube.
SPEAKER_00 (18:01):
You guys ever mess
with uh uh Richard Cheese?
You ever listen to any ofRichard Cheese's stuff?
No, dude.
SPEAKER_03 (18:08):
So the the whole is
this is this a dick joke?
SPEAKER_00 (18:12):
No, well, so his
name is a joke, his name is Dick
Cheese, but um he does uh likeduo versions of of like rap
songs, so like he does a duoversion of WAP, and dude, it's
one of the greatest things I'veever heard in my life.
Like you it's like imagine likeNora Jones singing WAP, like
(18:35):
it's it's that level of likejazz, like club music.
SPEAKER_06 (18:39):
I think I've seen a
version of that.
I don't know if it's the sameguy, I'll look it up, but I
actually have seen somebody thatdoes it.
Yeah, dude, for art so good.
Of just pop, rock, whatever typeof songs.
SPEAKER_00 (18:49):
Right, right, right.
Um so we're anticipating nextsteps.
We got this EP coming out.
Um is there going to be somesort of a ballad element to this
EP?
Because so far you've put outsome really heavy pop, like
hard-hitting songs.
Is there going to be like asofter track on the EP?
SPEAKER_01 (19:12):
I don't think on
this one, unfortunately, not
much to my dismay.
Um maybe on the next one.
I would like to.
We actually have no ballads.
We have like two acousticversions of some of our older
songs, but we have no balladslike in our entire discography.
So um it would be something I itwas designed that way.
Like at some point, like I wantto do a ballad, but um yeah, but
(19:35):
we we already have like this CPcompletely like in the oven.
It's not done, but it's in theoven, you know what I mean?
And so, like, yeah, there'sthere's no ballads on it,
unfortunately.
SPEAKER_06 (19:43):
Yeah, because like
the song after that, I don't
know if it's gonna be like thethere's no more singles after
after Wish You the Best, butlike the fourth song, at least
for me, the working title.
Uh sorry y'all like the theworking title colder, like that
song's a bop.
So like how Tyler was sayingthat like it's kind of like
Wishy the Best is kind of F T SK.
(20:04):
Like this one is like reallylike FTSK, like fucking blast
your uh blast your radio withthe windows down and you're
fucking riding on a on a coolsunny day.
SPEAKER_01 (20:16):
That's summer 2009.
SPEAKER_06 (20:18):
Exactly.
Oh, I like that.
Oh, I like that.
Summer oh nine.
That's the that that's thisfeel, and I I love that song.
Like, I can't wait for that oneto come out because that one is
gonna be my personal favoritewhenever it drops.
SPEAKER_00 (20:30):
So do you feel that
um you guys are kind of bringing
back that type of sound?
SPEAKER_01 (20:37):
Yeah, I I I I think
so.
I think a lot of our stuff isvery um I mean when when Noelle
and I started, we were likeall-time low, boys like girls,
like that type of those type ofbands, right?
And I think we're we are kind ofgoing back into that, but but
also with and actually Iliterally just saw all time low
the other day.
It was sick, but uh it's neitherhere nor there.
(20:58):
Um, but uh uh I'm trying to dothat, like you know, with like I
said, my Chain Smokers Eleniumset aside influence and try to
try to carve something unique.
So you were talking about likedeveloping the sound through the
record and kind of finding it orwhatever.
Like, yeah, we are trying tolike like you know, with the
image and with the uh uh thesound and everything, we're
we're trying to build somethingkind of unique, or as at least
(21:20):
unique as we can.
SPEAKER_00 (21:21):
So yeah, I think you
guys are doing a hell of a job
too, honestly.
Like, like the the hype on theselast two songs truly has been
incredible.
And and shout out to Manicat toofor doing such a great job
promoting them too.
Like, um, I really think thatthat that was a pivotal point in
your career, and I think in thefuture, looking back when we're
(21:43):
doing this again 10 years fromnow, like that's gonna be like a
pivotal moment when we'resitting here and we're like, oh
yeah, that that was the moment, you know.
Um so I I really think that therebrand and and just coming
together and creating this newsound is so unique and so cool.
Um, I also love that like yourinfluences are bands that are
(22:05):
kind of missing in the industryright now, you know?
Like we're we're kind of movingpast that era, and I think that
with you guys bringing thatsound back, it might even hit
some of that nostalgia for thosebands to be able to come back as
well.
SPEAKER_01 (22:20):
I hope so.
A lot of them are um doing likeat least the reunion stuff
though, which I'm stoked about.
SPEAKER_00 (22:26):
Yeah, yeah.
I I think that um I think thatthe the what is it, we are young
festival is like when when whenyeah, when we were young.
Yeah, that is like the momentwhere I saw Pop Punk coming
back, and I dude, I want to seeyou guys back on Warp Tour.
Like, no joke, I think thatwould be one of the coolest
(22:47):
things to see next year.
SPEAKER_01 (22:49):
Yeah, I would love
to uh to be on warp tour.
I mean, we we've done it a fewtimes um in the past, you know,
like the old the old guard warptour, but dude, I would
definitely want to do like thisnew warp tour as well.
That'd be safe.
SPEAKER_04 (23:01):
Dude, I want to do
warp tour in general.
I'm the only one who didn't getto do it.
I wasn't in the bank.
SPEAKER_01 (23:05):
He's the only one
who didn't get to do it.
Yeah, sorry, Tyler.
Sorry, bro.
SPEAKER_00 (23:09):
Hey, I also want to
do warp tour, man.
You're not alone.
SPEAKER_04 (23:12):
Well, but get on
your comments.
Yeah, we all need to do warptour, man.
SPEAKER_00 (23:17):
Um, but no, dude, I
think that would be such a cool
moment to like be able to takethat old moment of doing warp
tour back in the day and thenreflect on a new version of you
guys at Warp Tour again.
I think that would be such acool thing to kind of showcase
the changes that you guys havegone through.
Um what has been your favoritesong to play on this tour that
(23:41):
you got off of?
SPEAKER_01 (23:44):
For me, it's better
now.
Um, that was the closer, andthat one was like the most like
locked in and in the pocket, Ithink.
Um yeah, that one just everynight was like it like when
you're tired and it's like theend of the set, like that was
like definitely like a lift, like for me, like every night.
SPEAKER_05 (24:02):
So when the set was
done though, well, like the last
one.
When the workout's over.
I know, right?
SPEAKER_01 (24:10):
Yeah, it's a good
victory lap, is what I'm saying.
Instead of something, you know, maybe I'm not as excited to
play, then it's like, man, Ijust gotta get through this last
one, you know.
SPEAKER_00 (24:20):
What about you,
Tyler?
What's been your favorite songon the tour?
SPEAKER_04 (24:23):
Definitely wish you
the best.
That song directly reminds me ofa really old uh FTSK song called
uh hip hop chick.
And that was like I think I waslike 16 and I owned a
synthesizer for some reason, andI actually learned how to play
that song on synth.
It feels like I get to live outthat same energy now that I'm an
(24:44):
adult.
SPEAKER_00 (24:45):
That's pretty cool.
That's pretty cool.
Um, what about you, Noelle?
SPEAKER_06 (24:49):
Uh mine's been like
I do.
That's my favorite.
SPEAKER_01 (24:52):
He didn't even like
that song we wrote it, dude.
That's no, dude.
SPEAKER_06 (24:55):
That wasn't me.
No, that wasn't me.
No, actually, no, you're justthat wasn't that email, Noel.
No, the mix was off, and I had Iwas like, bro, you're killing me
right now.
But the to play it live, I digit a lot.
Uh, what I like about it is thatthere's a lot of room for
engagement with playing it andbeing able to like jump around
(25:18):
and actually like look at thecrowd and stuff like that.
Because a lot of times with theold songs, it was like you kind
of had to focus and make surethat like something got nailed,
and you know, you maybe weren'tmoving around so much just
because it's like there's likefour different parts in this one
section that had to hit beforesomething you know popped off.
But um, with like I do, likeit's a jam, and so that
(25:38):
reflects, and that's been myfavorite part about it because
that was my kind of at least thegoal for tour was to um actually
start you know performing.
And like I do really was like, okay, sick, it's like this, and
I can do that, and I can do youknow, so that's that that's why
it's been my favorite.
SPEAKER_00 (25:55):
Hell yeah.
Um, I'm gonna pass the mic overto Chris because he has some
questions that uh I am very, very interested to hear your
answers on.
SPEAKER_01 (26:05):
So all right, Chris,
let's do it.
SPEAKER_03 (26:08):
Okay, first off,
Gage, how's your mom doing?
Where were we going to be?
SPEAKER_01 (26:16):
I can't believe you
remembered that comment, dude.
That's gonna haunt me.
Our entire professionalrelationship, that's gonna haunt
me, but uh, she's good, dude.
She's good.
Thanks for asking.
I'm so sorry.
SPEAKER_03 (26:26):
She's a saint.
Um hey, so with this newevolution, the um, I don't want
to say new direction, um, butthe way that things have
changed, are you guys drawingoff anything different?
Um, whether it be you know pastfeelings, past experiences.
Um have you pulled, you knowwhat I mean?
(26:48):
Like are you pulling from thingsthat just just different?
SPEAKER_01 (26:52):
Like lyrically or
sonically, or both?
SPEAKER_03 (26:55):
Lyrically.
SPEAKER_01 (26:57):
Lyrically, um, all
our stuff is super just you
know, emo and heartbreaky.
It's all it always has been.
I mean, that's just kind of thebrand.
But um I am doing a couplethings, I think.
Um, I'm trying to get a littlemore personal with it, uh, then
rather than more like general.
You know what I mean?
Um I'm trying to draw from likemy own experiences.
(27:17):
I know Andrew's been, uh he'snot here today, but our start
player Andrew, uh, who is uh hasbeen helping writing lyrics as
well.
Um he's got a lot of experiencesthat he's been drawing on too,
that's been you know helping mekind of put words to to paper,
if you will.
Um, and then the other thing isI'm kind of trying to
stylistically take from like poplyrics, you really like, you
(27:39):
know, like especially like inbetter now.
I think when I talk about likeyou're hiding out at the bar
downtown, like like I I can'tthink of, you know, because no
one's around to feel better now,and like the drugs and alcohol A
or whatever.
You know, like there's a lot oflyrics in there that I don't
think I can't really see a lotof other like pop punk bands
like singing, you know what Imean?
(28:01):
Um, so I'm trying to give itthat kind of pop edge a little
bit, um, which I think is kindof cool and unique stuff.
Yeah.
SPEAKER_03 (28:10):
Oh I I I agree,
yeah, dude.
Yeah, um, so wish me the best.
That is something that uh Ididn't think was gonna be my cup
of tea.
Um me and I fucking loved it.
Like, like, oh man, I loved it.
Um I I I had this thing where uhI'll let I'll buy a song and
(28:31):
then listen to it like 200 timesin a row before listening to
something else and then shortlygoing back to it.
Between Better Now and Wish Youthe Best.
Yeah, like yeah, it is my cup oftea.
Um so thank you guys.
SPEAKER_01 (28:48):
Thank you.
I appreciate that.
That's a wonderful compliment.
Thank you for listening.
SPEAKER_04 (28:51):
Dude, I do that all
the time when I get songs.
It's such a double-edged swordbecause it's like you like them
so much more in the moment.
Well, like you burn yourself outon them and then you hate them
later, and like a year later yougo back and hear the song and
you just repeat the cycle.
SPEAKER_01 (29:05):
Yeah, I I I if if I
find a song that's like really
you know it for me, like I willplay that it has to be like
hundreds of times in a row.
It has to be like you know, likethat's all I listen to.
SPEAKER_06 (29:19):
What caught you
about it where you didn't think
it was gonna be your cup of teaand you ended up really liking
it?
SPEAKER_03 (29:24):
I think I think it's
the what do you call it?
See, I'm not the music, I'm notthe guy who breaks it all down.
Um I'd have to say it's theinstruments, the the way they're
played, you know.
I mean, uh what's what do yousay the E um EDM?
EDM.
SPEAKER_00 (29:43):
Yeah, yeah.
Chris isn't Chris isn't much oflike a electronic guy.
SPEAKER_03 (29:47):
No, I wasn't.
SPEAKER_00 (29:49):
Right, right.
SPEAKER_03 (29:51):
Uh yeah, like I grew
up with Black Sabbath,
Metallica, Beastie Boys, andShania Twin.
You know what I mean?
Like that was that's what wasplayed in our house.
SPEAKER_01 (30:00):
Let's go, girls.
SPEAKER_03 (30:03):
Yes.
Uh I think that was my firstcrush.
Yeah, Shania Twin was my firstcrush, yeah, definitely.
But uh but yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (30:15):
What about uh your
question about Iris?
SPEAKER_03 (30:18):
Oh, oh I I've gone
to Harley like uh maybe a dozen
times.
So Iris Volume 2, yeah, which Iran across that before I ran
across Iris, and it was IrisVolume 2 was like 2022, I think.
Yeah, something like that.
22 or 23.
SPEAKER_01 (30:35):
Yeah, yeah, because
it was like right after the
pandemic, yeah.
SPEAKER_03 (30:37):
Yeah.
So so I have no idea who KellenQuinn is, right?
And I'm like, oh man, this chickrocked.
I'm like, you're no, there's noway.
Shut up.
He's like trying to find a musicvideo, and I'm like Maybe
there's someone else in it.
No.
SPEAKER_00 (30:56):
So the question, the
question is, is Kellen Quinn in
fact a biological male?
Is the question.
Oh, yeah.
Yes.
Kellen Quinn is a biologicalmale.
He's a very cool guy.
Yeah, we didn't we didn't talkabout it too much on the last
one, but like how how fuckingawesome was that experience,
man?
Like he's he's gotta be like upthere for you guys as far as
(31:19):
like um an idolization, right?
Just based off of the kind ofmusic that you guys uh all have
said that you listen to.
SPEAKER_01 (31:26):
Yeah, for me a
hundred percent.
He's like one of my top, toplike guys.
He got me into, and it's funnybecause now we're going like
poppier and stuff, but that youknow, 10-year period or whatever
I was doing like heavier music,um, it was because of sleeping
with sirens and like Kelly Quinnand stuff.
So that was a huge thing um forme.
And then um we actually played afestival with him in 2020 what
(31:50):
four, I want to say three, something like that.
Uh yeah, and getting to hang outwith him and and talk about the
song in person and everything.
Just a he's just a wonderfulhuman being, super cool.
So great experience.
SPEAKER_04 (32:01):
He's actually like
super nice.
I think he was the first likelegitimately big, famous person
that I've met that was justimmediately nice, you know?
Like, and I I don't likeactively try to hold
conversation or do anything likethat because I'm a little bit of
a shy kind of person.
I just am.
So when people have like statuslike that too, it's like an
(32:22):
extra layer of okay, well, I'mnot usually nervous, and now
nervous plus shy equals don'ttalk.
But nervous super welcoming.
Like I didn't expect that.
And then uh shortly after that,I met Ryan Cabrera, who was like
Kellen times three when it comesto being crazy nice.
SPEAKER_00 (32:39):
Oh, dude, that guy
is one of the nicest guys I've
ever met in my entire life.
Ryan Cabrera's he's soincredible.
Um so the tour, I I have to askwhat was like the crazy like,
tell me the the back, thebackstory, the behind the
(33:00):
scenes, the craziness of thistour.
What's like the one moment thatsticks out after a show?
SPEAKER_04 (33:10):
Gade, were you awake
when we were driving uh just
down that mountain?
I don't even know where the hellwe were.
Were you awake?
SPEAKER_06 (33:17):
Yeah, he was the one
that'll be Cody.
SPEAKER_04 (33:20):
No, no, no.
This Cody was driving.
That was that was before that.
Cody was driving when we weregoing down like a mountain, just
no gas on brakes for like anhour straight, and Cody was like
shitting his pants, like ohyeah.
SPEAKER_01 (33:34):
I mean, that's the
other one.
SPEAKER_04 (33:36):
This is it.
SPEAKER_01 (33:37):
Yeah, that was like
after uh was it Atlanta?
No, it was uh going to Atlantafrom Kentucky.
That's what it was, and uh uhyeah, there it was just uh down
a mountain, basically, right?
And uh there were these 18wheelers to going like past us,
like and we were doing like ahundred, and they were just
flying past us crazy stuff.
(33:59):
They probably do those routesall the time, and it was foggy,
and it was the middle of thenight, and there were like
curves and stuff on the road.
Yeah, that was uh not for thefaint of heart at all.
SPEAKER_03 (34:10):
So, was this a tour
bus?
SPEAKER_01 (34:13):
Yeah, dude.
We spent like 100 G's on it, itwas awesome.
No, I'm just kidding, bro.
I'm thinking so it was amazing.
SPEAKER_06 (34:21):
So I was thinking it
was oh, okay, okay, it was a
Mercedes printer, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (34:27):
This is this is
something that Chris and I
haven't really talked aboutmuch.
Um so me being a musician, uh II've been in those types of
experiences before, but likejust curious, Chris.
In in your mindset, like whenyou see a band like being on
tour, do you kind of assume likeeverybody's on a tour, like a
bus or something?
SPEAKER_03 (34:48):
Well, so I've only
seen, well, I guess yeah, I've
only seen the tour buses.
You know what I mean?
Anyone else is just some guydriving by.
I need to start flipping themoff, give them something to talk
about.
SPEAKER_00 (34:59):
So depending
depending on the situation, most
bands are in like like a boxtruck or like uh like a sprinter
van, or you know, like you guysprobably were traveling with all
of your equipment in the backtoo, right?
SPEAKER_01 (35:13):
Yeah, we were in the
sprinter and we had enough room.
Uh we've made I've actually puta lot of time into that.
We made the set uh the the otherthe uh the gear like as small as
we can, yeah.
Uh yeah, so I mean it was justeverything in that in that
sprinter van.
Um and then yeah, some somebands will do like the
bandwagon, which is like uh youknow kind of a step up from
(35:34):
that.
Um and then I guess you gotbuses, which I hope we can do
one day.
Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_06 (35:39):
My guys will get
there.
My biggest my biggest uhaccomplishment would be like
have you guys ever seen themusic video to Redneck from Lamb
of God?
Yes, and the first scene is thebus rolling up, and it's that
under it's that low shot with hefucking whams the door open and
the smoke comes out, and he'sjust like this dude coming out
(36:00):
of the van, all like hard andshit, and he steps in the kiddie
pool.
It's like that would be mybiggest accomplishment to step
in a kiddie pool.
I'm just playing.
SPEAKER_00 (36:10):
I would just like to
sit on one of those buses.
I don't even I don't even needto be on the tour, just let me
come hang out.
SPEAKER_06 (36:17):
I've been on a tour
bus before, but it was like uh
because I used to shoot the Hanobands for like South by for
South by Southwest, and I yeah, yeah, yeah.
And I and I've been on a tourbus, not like driving, but like,
oh yeah, dude, come on our bus,get some pictures and stuff like
that.
SPEAKER_00 (36:33):
And they're pretty
badass, but like enter if you
dare, you know, like back backin the day when I was in a band
that did some stuff, we went ona festival run in Columbus on a
festival that's no longer aroundanymore.
Um, but to get there, we drovethe equipment like van.
(36:54):
So it was just like me and threeother guys, and then other
bands' equipment in the van, andthen our equipment was in
another van, and it was likefive vans, you know.
It's just like, yeah, the tourbuses are in front of us,
they're doing their own thing.
The us losers are in the back, you know, trying to include the
women, yeah.
(37:15):
But the trip was free.
We just had to drive the vans, yeah.
So um anywho, um, Chris, do youhave any other questions, sir?
SPEAKER_03 (37:28):
Of course, now that
you asked, I don't have them
written down.
SPEAKER_01 (37:30):
No, I'm here to
answer all your questions, man.
Whatever you got.
SPEAKER_02 (37:36):
Oh.
SPEAKER_00 (37:37):
Well, I have a very
fun game plan for us.
So last time we did the get toknow me session.
This time we're talking realtrivia guys.
Oh, nice, okay.
Okay, so we established in thelast episode that we are the 90s
group right here.
We are the 90s kids.
(37:58):
Um oh, sorry, one other questionI wanted to ask.
Uh so you guys are all familyguys, right?
You're Gage and Noelle, you guysare married kids?
SPEAKER_06 (38:07):
No, Gage does.
Andrew also uh is a father, andthen Tyler is a uh very loving
dog father, and I have agirlfriend.
Gage and Andrew are the onlyones that have families per se.
SPEAKER_00 (38:23):
So, Gage, how old
are you?
You have one child, twochildren?
Two, ten and six, ten-year-oldgirl, six-year-old uh boy.
Six-year-old boy.
I have a one-year-old boy.
It has been an adventure.
Uh Chris has a lovely family offive.
Nice, my man.
SPEAKER_01 (38:48):
That's how you do
it, dude.
Good job.
SPEAKER_03 (38:51):
So ranging from two
to sixteen.
SPEAKER_02 (38:55):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_03 (38:56):
Yeah.
So good luck with the10-year-old.
Uh I'm telling you, bud.
Oh, the attitude.
If it's not already there, it'scoming.
SPEAKER_01 (39:07):
It's it's not, but
I've always said I feel like in
terms of like how hard it is, Ifeel like boys are front loaded,
meaning when they're littleboys, they're the hardest,
right?
And they kind of mellow out, andgirls are like little angels,
like at the beginning, and thenit gets harder into their teen
years.
Is what I've always said that.
SPEAKER_03 (39:23):
So thus far, that's
my experience.
SPEAKER_00 (39:27):
Yeah.
Literally, literally, like 10minutes before I jumped on here,
my son Adam walked from thecouch to our dog in the middle
of the living room.
It was it was awesome.
unknown (39:40):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_06 (39:41):
Was that his first
steps?
SPEAKER_00 (39:43):
Uh, not his first
steps, but like he's like he's
taken a couple of steps here andthere, but like this was the
longest stretch.
SPEAKER_06 (39:50):
Yeah, but but he's
getting there.
SPEAKER_00 (39:51):
He's getting there,
it's crazy.
SPEAKER_06 (39:53):
Hell yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (39:54):
Um, so, anyways,
last episode we established, we
are the 90s crew.
So now I've put together 90strivia for all of you guys, and
we're going to uh we're gonna dothis the gentleman's way.
We're gonna go round Robin andI'll keep track of points and
we'll see who is the 90s triviachampion.
Are you guys ready?
SPEAKER_02 (40:16):
Let's do it.
SPEAKER_00 (40:17):
All right, so the
order is going to be Chris,
Noelle, Gage, and then Tyler.
And then we'll go in reverse.
Uh no, we'll just keep doing,we'll keep doing that circle
because if we do it in reverse, then Tyler answers twice.
He gets double points.
That doesn't seem fair.
SPEAKER_01 (40:31):
So I feel like Chris
just has the advantage right
now, just looking at his howhe's dressed and that shelf
behind him.
I'm like, that's just hiscompetition, man.
SPEAKER_00 (40:43):
All right, Chris.
The first question, sir.
What boy band released the hitsong Bye Bye Bye in the year
2000?
SPEAKER_03 (40:51):
Somehow I always oh
I'm gonna get it.
You don't know this one?
No, I wasn't a NSY backstreamboys.
That's it's either in sync orbackstream boys.
What final answer do you want todo?
Lock in.
SPEAKER_00 (41:05):
Lock in 5050.
SPEAKER_03 (41:06):
It's fitty, it's
fitty fitty.
Uh no, it's actually not fitty.
SPEAKER_00 (41:11):
Uh he's a different
guy.
SPEAKER_03 (41:16):
Uh let's go
backstreet boys.
SPEAKER_00 (41:18):
Oh, you were so
close.
It was the other one.
Look at this dog right now, guys.
SPEAKER_03 (41:23):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_04 (41:24):
Oh my god, that was
hard.
SPEAKER_00 (41:29):
Um, no, it was in
sync, sir.
Um, Noel, what was Ash Ketchum'sfirst Pokemon in the series?
SPEAKER_06 (41:41):
See, this is a kind
of like a rhetorical question,
but it's I so it's Pikachu.
SPEAKER_00 (41:46):
It is Pikachu, it is
Pikachu.
It so when I saw this question,I also was like, This is a
complicated question.
On the surface, it is Pikachu.
SPEAKER_06 (41:58):
Yeah, it's like is
it Caterpie because he catches
exactly because he catches thecaterpie.
SPEAKER_00 (42:02):
I agree.
That was my argument as well.
So we're all on the same page sofar.
Okay.
Um, bonus points.
Who here thinks that they canname the first six Pokemon that
Ash catches?
Oh, that's a good question.
Gage, are you a super Pokemonfan?
SPEAKER_01 (42:19):
Uh, I was up until
like when do we?
I was kind of rolled with Tyleron it.
So up until like maybe like 20what like 18.
Like, yeah, 100%.
I know everything like previousto that.
So it was let's see, so it wasuh Pikachu.
SPEAKER_06 (42:32):
That's the guy who
was opening packs on the fucking
van the whole time in between.
SPEAKER_02 (42:37):
Yeah, I got the
little quick.
SPEAKER_00 (42:38):
Whoa, I didn't know
that I was talking to the
Rockefellers.
Where are you guys getting thismoney from?
SPEAKER_06 (42:42):
No, he's got the iOS
and like oh okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_01 (42:46):
Yeah, I don't I
don't have anything on the
challenge hit pack every hour,dude.
Oh, you wait, you're is this myquick okay?
Well, I get bonus points forthis.
It's Pikachu, Squirtle,Bulbasaur, Charmander,
Butterfree, Pidgeotto.
SPEAKER_00 (43:03):
That's six.
That is that is six.
That is six.
Um, can you name so technicallyhate to be technical here, but I
said that he caught he didn'tcatch Pikachu.
Okay, all right, all right, allright.
There we go.
SPEAKER_04 (43:17):
B bro.
SPEAKER_01 (43:20):
And I knew it was in
seek, and I knew it was Pikachu,
dude.
What's and my question is gonnabe something crazy, dude, isn't
it, dude?
You're gonna I don't know.
Let's see, let's see.
SPEAKER_00 (43:27):
I'm doing too good,
dude.
SPEAKER_01 (43:28):
Like how many
sparrows?
How many sparrows were in theflock of sparrows that he
thunder?
SPEAKER_04 (43:36):
What's the first
legendary Pokemon he saw?
SPEAKER_00 (43:39):
Oh, I know that.
SPEAKER_06 (43:40):
Yeah, it was the ho.
SPEAKER_00 (43:42):
Um, number three
here is for Gage.
What color Power Ranger is theleader of the Mighty Morphin
Power Rangers in the originalseries?
The original leader.
Red is the original.
There we go.
Okay, that is the original.
SPEAKER_01 (43:58):
You would go red,
green, or white, but red is
first, right?
SPEAKER_00 (44:02):
Right.
SPEAKER_01 (44:02):
Yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (44:03):
Um, so so fun fact,
I asked my wife all of these
questions in the other room, andshe did okay, but she got a
handful wrong.
So that told me that they werecomplicated enough, but I did
add another 10 more complicatedquestions at the end.
So these ones are gonna be alittle smooth.
(44:23):
Um, Tyler, what band had the hitin 1999 called All Star?
SPEAKER_01 (44:32):
Smash Mouth.
Let's go.
SPEAKER_00 (44:34):
Smash Mouth.
Okay, okay.
There we go.
SPEAKER_01 (44:37):
Wasn't that that was
Shrek, right?
I'm just kidding.
It was made famous in Shrek.
Actually, before that, it wasmade famous in the Digimon
movie, just to be clear.
SPEAKER_00 (44:45):
Thank you.
Thank you.
Uh, another another fun fact, there's a band that's on your
guys' label that also was madefamous by the Digimon movie.
Dude, I'm ready because I alsohave a whole story.
SPEAKER_01 (44:58):
Okay, so show off.
Um, we played with them lastyear in New York in September,
and uh there was two sets, right?
And us and Ryan Kabr are on daytwo, they were headlining day
one, and so I was just at thefestival, just like watching
them.
Uh, and so they opened up withthat song Spill that was on the
Digimon soundtrack, and I'm alllike, what is this?
(45:20):
I know this song, like, but Ihave never heard of Show Up
before, right?
At the time, and uh I'm like, Iknow this song, and then I was
like, Oh my god, this is fromthe Digimon soundtrack, dude.
And so then afterwards, uh Iwent and talked to the band, and
I'm like, okay, like I was likeeight when that movie came out,
so I'm like prime demographicfor that.
I need to know everything aboutthat experience.
That's so cool.
(45:40):
And they're like, they werelike, What's Digimon?
What do I don't know what you'retalking about?
What are you going on?
And then I was like, I just showthem on my phone.
I was like, Oh yeah, like ourmanager said y'all are probably
gonna be on the soundtrack, andthen we were, and that's that.
And I'm like, that's it, andthey were like, Yeah, and I'm
like, Oh man, and they werelike, What's Digimon?
And and I was like, Well, youknow what Pokemon is?
They're like, Yeah, and I'mlike, it's kind of like that,
but better.
And they're like, Well, yeah, now that you mentioned it, it
(46:02):
wasn't like less than Jake, anduh, and you know, Smash Mouth
and all these other people.
Smash Mouth, bare naked ladies, yeah, and I was like, Yeah, and
they're like, Oh, so it's like apunk rock Pokemon, and I'm like,
Yeah, exactly, it's like a punkrock Pokemon.
And then uh the next night, theywere like, Oh, we went shopping
at a toy store for like our kidsto bring souvenirs home, and we
saw some Digimon stuff, and wethought of you, and I'm like,
I'm glad I have that connectionwith show up now that when they
(46:23):
see Digimon, they think of us.
SPEAKER_00 (46:26):
Dude, you and I have
almost the exact same
experience.

SPEAKER_00 (50:46):
And red and red is
the best character in the manga.

SPEAKER_00 (51:20):
It is Doug.
SPEAKER_06 (51:21):
Oh so those were the
yeah, those were the two because

Windows 95 operating systemmassive worldwide marketing
campaign?
SPEAKER_02 (52:11):

on a you're all qualified for

I'll say you're old.
I didn't catch what you said thefirst time, the second time.
SPEAKER_00 (52:44):
Yeah, but dang that
one that one I felt like was a
give me just on the questionitself, but it's okay, man.
Um, it is Microsoft.
SPEAKER_04 (52:54):
Ah, that makes
sense.
As I'm coding in the background,Windows 95, bro.
SPEAKER_06 (53:00):
Um Pinball Space
Cadet, dog.
You know what does that give meon that?
SPEAKER_00 (53:04):
Dude, so right now,
right now, Gage is in the lead
with three, Noelle Tailing withtwo and a half, Chris with two,
and Tyler with one.
Coming back over to Chris.
Uh, let's see here.
Here we go.
Chris, which cartoon networkseries featured the characters
(53:24):
Ed, Ed, and Eddie constantlyscheming for jawbreakers to
watch that.
SPEAKER_03 (53:38):
Come on, you're
gonna give Tyler a question like
that, and then okay.
I'm gonna go the Grim Adventuresof Billy and Manny.
SPEAKER_00 (53:46):
That's a far better
show.
Um, but I also love this one.
Ed, Ed, and Eddie is the answer.
Uh, Noelle.
What band released the 2001 hitin the end, blending rap and
rock in a way that defined theearly 2000s new metal?
SPEAKER_06 (54:03):
That was Lincoln
Park.
SPEAKER_00 (54:05):
That was in fact
Lincoln Park, one of my favorite
bands of all time.
Uh, gauge.
Yeah, you get you get two PowerRanger questions?
That's crazy.
This one's tough, though.
Oh um, who played the game?
We can't give them to the PowerRanger guy because he's you know
who played the pink Power Rangerin the original Mighty Morphin
(54:27):
Power Ranger series.
Uh this is the actress's name.
Yes, Amy Joe Johnson.
Yeah, that was that was a harderquestion.
Um I was fast with it too.
SPEAKER_06 (54:37):
You know what I
mean?
Yeah, you talk about firstcrushes, my guy.
SPEAKER_00 (54:45):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.
Um, Tyler, what famous pop starwore an infamous meat dress to
the MTV Music Awards in 2010?
Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga.
Lady Gaga.
There we go.
All right, so point recap foreverybody.
(55:08):
We're in the same place as wewere last time.
Gage is in the lead, Noelletrailing slightly behind uh
Chris and then Tyler.
Um, coming into the nextquestion, Chris.
Wow, what are the odds, dude?
Uh, what major historical eventin 2001 changed the world
(55:29):
heavily and influenced popmusic, film, and art for the
years to come?
SPEAKER_06 (55:39):
It's a heavy
question for the release of
Jimmy Eat World's BleedAmerican.
SPEAKER_03 (55:46):
I'm gonna go with
Noelle's answer.
Not the one you're fishing for.
Never forget.
SPEAKER_00 (55:53):
Oh man.
Uh, the answer is the September11th tax or 9-11 for those
listening.
Gauge.
The the grin tells me thatyou're familiar with the
internet's obsession with 9-11.
SPEAKER_01 (56:11):
No, I just thought
it was weird to go from like you
know, all of these otherquestions to uh what what show
featured Ed, Ed, and Eddie andJawbreakers to uh September 11th
event all right.
SPEAKER_00 (56:29):
So coming over to
Noelle, we have what 1997
animated movie from Fox featureda girl trying to featured a girl
trying to find her royal familywhile singing once upon a
December.
Um this is this is where we getinto the more complex uh
(56:54):
questioning.
SPEAKER_06 (56:56):
What uh repeat the
question one more time.
SPEAKER_00 (57:01):
Sure.
What 1997 animated movie fromFox, not Disney, from Fox,
featured a girl trying to findher royal family while singing
once upon a December.
SPEAKER_06 (57:14):
I think I know what
it is.
Five hole goes west.
SPEAKER_00 (57:19):
That was a great
answer, but the answer is not
that.
Is it is it Anastasia?
It is Anastasia, guys.
Dude.
SPEAKER_03 (57:30):
Yeah, oh, love that
movie.
The animation style was close tolike Atlantis, not quite there,
but like I forgot about Fifle 2,dude.
SPEAKER_01 (57:39):
That yeah, that's a
great reference.
SPEAKER_00 (57:42):
Um I always thought
this was a Disney movie, and it
is not.
You would think, yeah, yeah,it's animated very, very similar
to Disney.
SPEAKER_06 (57:53):
So didn't Fox kind
of jumpstart that like uh for a
while it was like a Westernanimated style, and then the
hard stop where nothing was evermade like that again after like
Road El Dorado.
SPEAKER_00 (58:06):
Oh, I forgot about
that movie too.
I love it.
SPEAKER_06 (58:08):
Yeah, that falls in
that in that in that Prince of
Egypt, dude.
SPEAKER_00 (58:12):
Oh, Prince of Egypt
is so good.
I genuinely thought that Road ElDorado was also a Disney movie,
probably until this exactmoment.
SPEAKER_01 (58:21):
So good, dude.
SPEAKER_06 (58:22):
Movie so good, yeah.
And that's that's why it's kindof confusing because I don't
like I don't even remember if itis or isn't, but there was this
like pocket of oh, this is gonnabe the western animation to
compete with Japanese anime,right?
SPEAKER_00 (58:37):
Nope, nope.
Also, Road El Dorado talk aboutanother first crush as a child.
SPEAKER_01 (58:43):
It's a drawing.
What does that mean?
Like chill outside, it's only adrawing.
SPEAKER_04 (58:52):
Um bro, Dad, you
went to that anime convention,
you know what people would dofor drawing.
No, Tyler, tell us unspeakablethings that I will not mention
live with my own voice.
SPEAKER_06 (59:06):
Let's just say you
let's just say you don't want to
get a second owned, a secondhand drawing.
Oh, why is it?
SPEAKER_04 (59:12):
There's a reason
like cons are smelly.
SPEAKER_00 (59:17):
A second hand
drawing.
We don't know if he used hisfirst hand, he might have used
his first hand.
All right, coming over to gauge,uh, what 1990s handheld gaming
device let you raise virtualpets that could die if you
forgot to feed them?
(59:37):
Tamagotchi.
Tamagotchi and then over toTyler.
Final question.
Finish this 2000s lyric.
SPEAKER_01 (59:50):
It's been it's been
one week since you looked at me.
That's all it is.
SPEAKER_00 (59:56):
It's been bonus
questions.
Who can do the best it's beenimpression?
SPEAKER_04 (01:00:02):
Oh, I mean, the
vocalist should be able to win
this easily.
SPEAKER_01 (01:00:07):
That guy's a better
vocalist than me, dude.
Let's see.
SPEAKER_00 (01:00:10):
It's been oh any
anybody else gonna give this a
shot?
SPEAKER_06 (01:00:16):
I won't even get
close to that, so I will
gracefully pass.
SPEAKER_00 (01:00:20):
I'll give it, I'll
give it a go.
Ready?
I I do this a lot around thehouse.
Oh, damn.
SPEAKER_06 (01:00:28):
Oh yeah, I'm not
getting close to that either, so
I'm passing on that one.
SPEAKER_04 (01:00:37):
You unlock the
memory of that uh Edd and Eddie
commercial that used that.
You know what I'm talking aboutwhere they're driving the car
around in the toyhouse.
Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (01:00:46):
For me, it's it's
the Digimon movie, man.
That's where I heard that song.
I know the scene, everything,dude.
I could talk about the Digimonmovie for hours.
I'm so glad that you guys lovethat movie.
That that was so iconic.
SPEAKER_01 (01:01:00):
Just for the Digimon
movie.
We should.
That's yeah.
SPEAKER_00 (01:01:03):
Dude, I would
absolutely do that.
Dude, that movie was so iconicin my childhood.
Specifically, like the musicfrom that movie, like bare naked
ladies, that's the only reason Iknew who they were.
And then as an adult, I gotsuper oh, yeah, less than Jake.
Um, but I got super into thebare naked ladies as an adult
(01:01:23):
because of that movie.
Anywho, um, that's it, guys.
Uh, Gage, congratulations.

SPEAKER_00 (01:01:49):

should.
That would be fucking awesome.
We should break out and just doa side podcast where we do like
Power Rangers one episode,Digimon another, Pokemon
another.
I think we're the most qualifiedband to do that if you guys ever
do that so far.
Probably.
Oh shit.

(01:02:11):

SPEAKER_01 (01:02:24):
No, we don't.
We've we've been we've beenworking on it and we've got a
lot of ideas, but I'm I'm beingreal picky with it, so not yet.
unknown (01:02:31):
Okay, okay, okay.
SPEAKER_00 (01:02:33):
Um, Chris, do you
want to float any ideas for a

SPEAKER_03 (01:02:38):
