Hello and welcome to the Horoscope Vault, a podcast that
explores the world through the lens of astrology with a view to
supporting you through life's ups and downs and help you make
more confident decisions througheach chapter.
I'm Charlie, an associate memberof the American Federation of
Astrologers and Astrology readerfor radio's The Bob and Sherry

(00:24):
Show, and this episode is the weekly episode looking at the
transit forecast, the astrology of the week beginning Monday,
8th of December. And this week is all about a
repeating pattern that has come back around and it has to stop.

(00:46):
It has to, it has to stop for your mental Wellness.
It has to stop for your nervous system, for your future
security. This pattern just has to stop.
And so this is like a reality check kind of week with the
messages from your body, from your soul, begging you to stop
being passive, to stop being toocompassionate even, especially

(01:09):
if passivity and compassion is to your detriment.
This is understanding the chaos that has been caused by
something or someone else external from you, an
environmental factor that is destabilizing no matter how much
you try to stabilize. So this might be a mentally or

(01:30):
emotionally intense episode. Just a heads up.
Take notes, save anything that stands out, Save this episode
for later, or share with someonewho's going through an equally
intense time in life. So patterns and cycles are

(01:56):
pretty much the sole reason why I entered into the study of
astrology, knowing a little bit of what to expect, when to
expect it, or just the kind of rhythm, I guess, of certain
experiences and how they come around.
And we know that rhythm is an accurate part of life.

(02:18):
There are rhythms and tempos andpatterns in the weather, in
biology and DNA and hormones, inthe seasons, in the economy, and
these are some of those externalfactors that may have been part
of some chaos. And as much as these factors may

(02:43):
have been part of chaos, so may have been somebody else's
patterns. And that's when it gets so much
more intricate because you can go some of the way to understand
seasonal patterns and economic patterns.
There are teachings, there are studies, there are algorithms
and equations to follow on thesethings.

(03:05):
But when it comes to understanding other people's
patterns, as much as you cannot control someone else, you can
commit to learning them. But ultimately everybody's
patterns, yours included, are determined by the choices you
make within the cycle. And so while the opening of the
show might have said, you know, chaos that has been caused by

(03:28):
something or someone else external from you, this isn't
finger pointing, nor is it blaming.
It's more about how you react tothe external patterns or how you
respond to other people's patterns and how your choice,
your choice of this way or that way in terms of reacting and

(03:51):
responding to those patterns. It's your choice that has been
part of creating your current position.
So it's essentially about how your patterns are locked in to a
certain response with external patterns and how you have the
power to shift the direction of those patterns.
So before I say patterns so manytimes that it loses all meaning,

(04:16):
let's look at the patterns of this week of Monday 8th of
December. And we are in that final month
of the year, which is mind blowing.
And some people love this time of year, some people hate this
time of year. And sometimes that can be seen
based on your Zodiac sign or your Natal chart too.

(04:37):
So for example, Cancer and Capricorn signs tend to have
strong feelings about this time of year because it's falling
around their birthday. If you're a Capricorn or if
you're a Cancer, this time of year is the furthest away from
your birthday. So the sun's position is closer

(04:58):
to or furthest away from the sunposition of Capricorn and
Cancer. But regardless of your sign, you
may have a particular feeling about this time of year anyway.
It may be to do with the orientation of your chart.
Maybe it's Sagittarius and Capricorn falling in an area of
the chart telling you the main theme of your life every time,

(05:21):
every time this part of the yearcomes around.
So if you have Capricorn in the 6th house, this might be much
more of a work heavy health, heavy time of year, every single
year. If Capricorn falls closer to the
8th House of your chart based onNatal orientation or is in any

(05:45):
way linked to the 8th House of your chart, then November and
December may be full of much more loss for you in comparison
to other people, and therefore you're locked in this pattern of
loss annually. And I'll include the Zodiac sign

(06:07):
orientation of what this time ofyear means for you in the
individual sign horoscopes. So Monday 8th of December opens
with Mars in Sagittarius square to Saturn in Pisces.
Mars and Saturn are at 25° of each sign of their respective
signs. Mars in Sagittarius is about

(06:29):
wanting to act on the bigger picture.
It's wanting to act based on a bigger scope of a goal, and Mars
is the planet of action. Sagittarius is trying to rush
very fast to that finish line. Because if you think about the
mental symbolism of that Sagittarius bow and arrow, how

(06:52):
it gets pulled back and then upon release it zooms to the
target, it's almost like there is 0 space in between that pull
back and launch. And you might see this sometimes
during Sagittarius season with less time spent thinking and

(07:12):
contemplating. Or you might see this in
Sagittarius people that you knowwho just jump and leap without
too much strategic logical planning.
And so looking at that, Mars in Sagittarius and the rush to the

(07:32):
target point, and then the Saturn in Pisces with its notion
of being stuck in something thatyou feel responsible for or that
you feel responsible within. And here's where it gets much
more nuanced with the 25th degree of Sagittarius, the
keyword is reality. It's the realist.

(07:54):
It's realizing that ideas come and go.
And this is where Mars is sitting now.
And then the 25th degree of Pisces, which is hosting Saturn
at this time is about transition.
So the keyword, the idea of realistic, the realist realism
perspective in a tough challenging square to

(08:18):
transition. Breaking that down a little bit
more, the concept, the ideas come and go in a challenging
tension with transition just begs the question, have you been
sticking to one idea and ignoring all these other ideas?

(08:39):
And have you been sticking to this one way of thinking that
something is going to work out only this way, and then it
hasn't been working out that wayand you've been sticking to this
individual idea. You've kind of pigeonholed
yourself. You've kind of restricted
yourself in some way. And the message really is that

(09:00):
transition is going to require alternative action.
And if you've been stuck in this, then on Monday there might
be a little bit of confusion that breeds a little bit of
hesitation. But if you hesitate to change

(09:21):
the plan, if you hesitate to change the action, then that
just perpetuates a time frame where you will be in the same
pattern or the same cycle for the next three years.
Especially if you don't do some self development work on your
confidence, some self development work on the benefits
of change, not just any change, but total change.

(09:44):
Because without that inner shift, that self development
work that strengthens your basisfor you to move differently with
confidence, then you won't have any resilience or clarity.
The resilience and the clarity required to choose a new
direction and to actually followit through.
So unless you build the confidence to choose

(10:06):
differently, you'll default to the familiar, even when you're
fully aware that the familiar isthe very thing holding you back.
So Monday, Tuesday, some questions to ask yourself.
What are you holding on to simply because it's familiar and
not because it's working? Ask yourself, where have you

(10:29):
confused being passive with being patient?
You're thinking you're being spiritually patient, but you're
actually just letting things slide that you shouldn't let
slide. If you are being completely
honest with yourself, what is itin your life that has not been
working for a long time? What fear are you avoiding by

(10:54):
staying loyal to some original thought or original idea?
How would your life improve if you stopped waiting for
something to fix itself? And finally, or maybe also most
importantly, ask yourself what is the cost of you staying in

(11:17):
this pattern? Exactly how it is for another
three years, answering those questions and then thinking
about if you made just one decisive choice this week, what
would that be? What would you introduce in
terms of discipline or a boundary?

(11:37):
And then commit to introducing that discipline or boundary the
way that you know you need to this week.
Commit to a decision that makes you feel just a little bit less
helpless, a little bit less stressed and a little less
stuff. Wednesday 10th of December.

(11:57):
Neptune goes direct and it supports this very come to self
moment. Neptune in Pisces is just as
much about spirituality as you can get.
It is the ultimate in compassionand love and light and all that
stuff. But it is also about addiction,

(12:20):
illusion, and even kind of spiritual seduction.
And during its time retrograde, Neptune being retrograde, it may
have revealed to you your own addictions and your crutches.
These were shining like a beaconto the point where you would not

(12:41):
have been able to ignore some ofyour behaviors and some of your
sensitivities, and they may not have been very nice ones.
I'm not talking addiction to going to the gym or addiction to
cleaning, or things that are perceived to have positive
outcomes when performed to access.

(13:05):
Although every kind of addictiondoes have its issue, even the
perceived good ones, if it disrupts something else
somewhere in your life, Neptune in Pisces is always going to be
about some kind of addiction or some kind of illusion.
And so in going direct, after all of its time, retrograde,

(13:28):
this is now a real true test where you've got to grow through
this realization. So there is an avoidance, there
is an escapist behavior, there is an addiction, there is an
illusion type of lesson that youare in the process of learning

(13:51):
and finishing learning that started back in July.
So something that became glaringly obvious about yourself
between July and now that had some kind of avoidance to it.
And as Neptune goes direct on Wednesday, you are asked to
apply the results of this lesson.

(14:13):
So it might be no more numbing yourself.
It might be no more sidestepping, It might be no
more romanticizing something that isn't working.
And Wednesday is the moment where you get to choose a
different coping mechanism, or you choose to repeat the cycle.
And growth is no longer symbolicand it's no longer self

(14:36):
reflective. It is becoming very behavioral
and very real, and that's in preparation for Neptune moving
into Aries next year, where it moves into Aries for good.
So this is like the last chance in your lifetime to conquer the
pattern, a pattern that may havestarted as peaceful, it may have

(15:00):
started as a spiritual habit, itmay have started as completely
innocent. But actually between July this
year and now you've realized that it was holding you back
from being full of yourself. This Neptune direct moment also
brings a final chance to balancea piece of your karma, something

(15:23):
that you were meant to understand, something you're
meant to close out, something you're meant to take
accountability for before Neptune leaves Pisces early next
year. So if a coping mechanism has
become a way to avoid that karmic lesson, if you've been
delaying action, if you've somehow been escaping a

(15:46):
responsibility or sidestepping aresponsibility, delegating a
responsibility, even then the avoidance is the biggest
problem. And this week you are being
tested to see whether you will continue to do or start to do,
if this is fresh for you, the personal and necessary work

(16:10):
without the universe, without the world and life in general,
or without somebody else forcingit down your throat and showing
you the problems. So obviously Neptune direct at
the 29th degree of Pisces is surrender to your now.

(16:33):
It's protecting yourself in the now, it's not getting caught up
in the past of what was. It's not worrying about the
future of what could be. It is the reality of now and
looking around and whether the now that you exist within is
healthy, is sustainable, and if it's karmically correct.

(16:58):
Also on Wednesday, Mercury in Scorpio opposes Uranus
retrograde in Taurus at 28° of each sign.
Feels like everything this week is happening in those final
degrees of the signs that they're in.
And that's kind of the signatureof the week, its peak energy,
its peak truth, its peak consequence.

(17:19):
And Mercury in Scorpio opposing Uranus retrograde at 28° of
Taurus, It brings you this already knew, this kind of
moment. You already knew what was going
on, the revelations this week, the understandings of the
patterns this week. This is not new information.

(17:42):
These are revelations and patterns that you have seen
before, that you have lived before, tolerated before, that
you've maybe even talked yourself out of confronting
before. These patterns have roots in as
recent as last year, even going several years back.
And that's because Scorpio's memory with Mercury and Scorpio

(18:03):
in this aspect, Scorpio's memoryis long and Taurus is stubborn,
and it holds on to patterns until the discomfort of the
pattern becomes undeniable. And so maybe you or someone else
are chastising yourself, or maybe you're chastising them, or
who, whatever. Maybe there's some blame about

(18:27):
how this has been let to go on for as long as it has been let
to go on. But oddly, that extensive time
frame of discomfort is somehow correct.
And it's this Mercury opposing Uranus in that opposite Scorpio
Taurus axis. It's that transit that reveals

(18:51):
something familiar, that repeating pattern.
But now the difference is that it really does feel like the
final moment where it just can'tbe ignored.
And it's the final moment where if it is ignored, then that

(19:13):
repeating pattern becomes a conscious choice with
consequences. So this is the crosswords on
Wednesday, both with Neptune bone direct and Mercury opposing
Uranus. You transcend the pattern and
you choose differently because it is a choice now, because it's

(19:34):
gone on for so long. And so if you transcend the
pattern and you choose differently because you are now
aware, not just aware, but you know self-awareness now requires
action, then your stability improves.
But if under that repeated awareness of several years of
the same information coming backaround again and again, if under

(19:57):
that you refuse to change with that conscious choice, then your
peace just erodes. Choosing to stay in something
that you know isn't good for youbecomes a form of self sabotage.
And now it's self sabotage that is impossible to rationalize
because the awareness is fully present now.

(20:21):
You cannot claim to not see the fallout.
From repeating this pattern, youcannot claim to not see the
problem because the problem has not on your door.
So regularly, based on choices to stay in a repeating

(20:41):
situation, you have given yourself ultimately the longest
time to see things clearly, and now the clarity is absolute.
And that's what makes this moment and this week really,
really sharp. And now the choice is necessary.

(21:06):
And the choice might look like finally setting a non negotiable
boundary. Absolutely non negotiable.
And if that boundary is broken, then there is a consequence.
There's no trying again. For some, this might be stepping
out of a situation that has already proven that it will not
change. Scorpio exposes truth.

(21:28):
Taurus demands a real world response.
So on the mental level, this opposition midweek is a
stimulant where thoughts accelerate, insights just hit
out of nowhere and you might jump to conclusions, or you
might speak too quickly because Uranus does jolt Mercury out of
its rhythm. And if you're prone to anxiety

(21:49):
or overwhelm, then make sure midweek you simplify your day
because your nervous system might be a little bit more
reactive under this influence, and the disciplined, repetitive
and even maybe boring tasks might feel harder to tolerate.
And the mind wants novelty or breakthrough energy.

(22:09):
So if you've been stuck on something, a decision, a
problem, a dynamic, then midweekis the moment where a sudden
insight snaps the puzzle into place.
This is where breakthroughs happen.
This is where you stop pretending that something is
unclear. This is the last degree, last
chance transit that does not bring new information.

(22:31):
It makes you really look at the truth.
You can no longer delay acting on at this degree.
Mercury's theme is arrogance, and that shows up as the mind
insisting that it already knows best, replaying old stories,
assuming that your perspective is the superior one, or refusing
to consider evidence that contradicts previous

(22:54):
conclusions. So in real life, this could look
like doubling down on a belief, even when reality shows you the
opposite. It could be refusing advice
because that advice threatens your pride.
It could be clinging to a narrative just because admitting
the truth requires a new level of humility.
And in this aspect, Uranus is atthe Dharma degree.

(23:19):
So it counters the arrogance with the demand for correct
action, the recognition that every bond, every behavior,
every pattern has a natural lifespan, and that the mature
response is to allow the next stage to unfold without trying
to control it. In scenarios, this opposition
may feel like knowing that a relationship or habit cycle has

(23:41):
reached its rightful end, while Mercury's arrogance tries to
intellectualize reasons to keep it alive.
And it can show up as someone insisting, you know, I'm fine, I
can handle this. While the Dharma is saying that
it's no longer aligned and your growth depends on letting this
version of that thing go, it could also be the inverse.

(24:02):
It could also be that you might be offering guidance or truth in
someone else's, refusing to takeit because accepting it would
require them to face a level of their own inconsistency.
So this opposition tension is between the mind wanting to be
right versus life insisting on what is correct.
And so when arrogance resists Dharma, the pattern becomes

(24:25):
painful. But when you surrender to any
need to be superior or certain or in control, then out of
nowhere the next right step becomes obvious.
You don't even have to think about it.
And then liberation follows. So when there might be some
information that comes up that stings your pride and the

(24:46):
instinct is to defend or justifyyourself, but the dynamic
response is to pause and to justreceive that information without
arguing it. It could be some kind of
uncomfortable truth that resurfaces and has been
resurfacing for a while. And whether it's about you or
another, the habit is for you orthem or both to over explain or

(25:06):
to intellectualize it away. But on Wednesday, this time
around, it's time for you to choose stillness instead of
scrambling for explanations and control.
Whichever side of the revelationthat you're on, a contradiction
in your own behaviour is exposed, a relationship or a
situation is changing in its natural cycle, or someone

(25:28):
challenges your viewpoint, or a boundary issue comes to light.
Any and all of those things. And then your mind wants to go
ahead and argue your way out of accountability.
Your mind wants to blame, to redirect.
Their mind wants to blame and redirect, but the Dharma of this
step is to accept the insight without retaliation and to

(25:52):
respond to what's going on with clarity instead of emotional
reactivity. Thursday continues with the
Mercury influences. Mercury in Scorpio trines to
that Neptune in Pisces, which isnow direct.
Mercury moves into the wealth degree 29° of Scorpio and
Neptune in Pisces is about existence in the now.

(26:15):
So the trying is firstly about recognizing some kind of wealth
that you already have access to.So do you have access to
information wealth? Are you one of those people that
collects a lot of information, not just any information,
applicable information? Are you someone who has wealth
of time? You have lots of spare time?

(26:37):
Are you someone who is supportedby so many people and you're
wealthy in that way? Or do you have material wealth
or health wealth? There's one or more of these at
your disposal. Very unlikely.
All of them. Probably just a couple.
And the days prior to Thursday might actually serve to point

(27:01):
out where the lack is, lack in relationships, Wellness, or
material things. And then Thursday shows you what
you do have access to now. And so if you choose not to numb
or escape the truth of lack, that has probably been the truth
of lack for a couple years. And you choose to use the tools

(27:21):
of wealth that you do have at your disposal.
Once you've identified the type of wealth that you have, then
Thursday will give you a synchronistic sign.
It gives you a sign that you're on the right track.
It becomes this beautiful day ofsigns and symbols that gently
show you the way. Thursday brings you some kind of
recognition that fuels a little moment of personal spiritual

(27:45):
renewal, which might well be needed after a few weeks of
growing challenges. And then, just to keep things
interesting, Mercury leaf Scorpio and enters into
Sagittarius for the second time this year.
Originally Mercury entered Sagittarius right before it went
retrograde. It retrograded back out and then

(28:06):
this final quarters Mercury retrograde in Sagittarius was by
and far one of the most difficult because of how Mercury
is not in a good position in this particular sign.
On November 9th, Mercury startedits retrograde in Sagittarius
and there was a previous episodethat discussed and mentioned how

(28:29):
Mercury it's about small detailslike the finite details and the
planning and the logic. And then Sagittarius is all
about getting carried away with the wind and the bigger picture
and the big thinking and it lacks the step by step process.
So Mercury in Sagittarius is a bit debilitated and it's a bit

(28:52):
foolish, even with some gulliblethinking and some bigger picture
focus that lacks details and precision.
So it's going back to some knuckleheaded thinking, some
boneheaded thoughts, some just stupidity in a way.
But it's stupidity of yourself that you might be better
prepared for because the recent retrograde since November 9th

(29:16):
has altered something and now it's maybe a little bit less
stupid because of the extra awareness.
I myself personally will be happy when Mercury leaves
Sagittarius because its wackiness does have its
benefits. But right now the exhaustion of
almost, to use that word again, boneheaded revelations is taking

(29:39):
over a lot more. So it's like, let's just collect
the lessons of Mercury in Sagittarius 2.0.
Let's move along quickly, which is kind of how this re entry of
Mercury into Sagittarius looks. It kind of looks like that
because on Saturday, Mercury sextiles Pluto.
So Mercury in Sagittarius sextile to Pluto in Aquarius is

(30:00):
about understanding that the waythings have been done before
cannot be continued. Things may have worked being
done a certain way previously, but Pluto in Aquarius is now
telling you that the future is something completely new and
unique. It has to be different.
And that can feel weird. And that's what makes it so

(30:21):
difficult to make the smaller plans of what to do next, those
step by step parts that Sagittarius is often missing.
It's difficult to make those plans because nothing is the
same as it ever was. Nothing is the same as
everything that has come before. It's no longer the same way.

(30:41):
You're in completely new territory with no history to
reference. And zooming out economically, a
world astrology, the history that we can reference for this
Mercury in Sagittarius sextile Pluto in Aquarius is literally
what the late 1770s, like 1779, that was when the American

(31:04):
Revolutionary War was. And it's not a time where I can
say to you cast your mind back and see what the similarities
were between then and now for your experience because it's
totally fresh. And the word revolutionary is
really very apartment for Pluto in Aquarius.
So this Mercury sextile Pluto inAquarius aspect is saying that

(31:25):
life moving forward now is goingto be totally new, totally off
the wall, totally unique. And if you find yourself
planning in the same way as you have been planning for the past
few decades of life, and then you're possibly doing something
a little bit wrong. But if you're planning or
thinking in ways that are totally off the wall, then you
might be on to something. Your concentration and focus can

(31:49):
be more intense on Saturday thanusual.
You're capable of deeper understanding of difficult
subjects. So you're not I'll equipped to
evolve. You just have to open your mind
to something different. And I suppose in a way, that's a
huge benefit of Mercury's debilitation in Sagittarius when
you're creating these new steps and these new systems and these
new rules. Because the old steps and the

(32:12):
old systems and old rules that don't work as needed or expected
are not in the way as they should not be.
This is when it pays to not be so hyper focused on the minute
functions and processes. Because getting locked into the
things that have always been a certain way keeps you locked
into the past and locked out of the future.
So in short, I'm trying to say that this Ng on Saturday does

(32:34):
favor research and investigationof mysteries and things that you
don't know how to handle becauseyou are capable of getting to
the bottom of any issue. But it requires a different
revolutionary approach. The weekend is a good time to
inspect terms of contracts, to be careful what you believe when
it comes to advertisements. Like if something is advertised

(32:56):
in such a way, double, triple check that it's not just some
propaganda created to make a sale that lines somebody else's
pocket. And it might be that there's
something obsessive on your mind, something that is very
repetitive. It might be just the same song
on repeat. It might be the same word that
slips out all the time, just some kind of being preoccupied

(33:17):
with a certain something, which indicates that you might not be
able to get a thought out of your head, and that is part of
what you need to focus on. Overall, Saturday's making an
important discovery of some sort, especially of the mind,

(33:37):
and this is something that supports your imagination to
make the very best out of everything that's going on with
change right now. So quick recap.
This week delivers potent end ofcycle energy, everything
happening at the final degrees, peaks of truth, patterns peaking
consequences all over the shop with Monday's Mars square Saturn

(33:58):
exposing where you've been loyalto something that's not been
working and you see the difference between patients and
passivity and faith and avoidance and a decisive choice
prevents or commits you to repeating a three-year cycle of
stagnation. By Wednesday, Neptune going
direct calls you to apply the lessons of the last few months

(34:19):
that you've been learning since July.
Stop numbing, Stop escaping, stop idealizing something that
actually causes you problems. This is time to get real.
This is the last karmic checkpoint before Neptune leaves
Pisces. This is act in the now.
Stop living in fantasy and Mercury's opposition to Uranus

(34:43):
brings you clarity with what youalready knew but you have
avoided. Thursday is a softer shift.
Mercury trines Neptune, you get the signs and the support and
the recognition from the universe.
You clarify the resources that you have access to.
You confirm the direction you'remeant to move in.
And if you stop escaping, then the universe meets you with
guidance. Mercury back into Sagittarius,

(35:06):
connecting with Pluto later in the week.
Your thinking becomes transformative.
Old systems don't work anymore. The future demands a new
approach, fresh thinking and more revolutionary choices.
I guess in short, this week asked you to stop avoiding the
truth. Stop numbing discomfort.
Stop clinging to what's not working.

(35:27):
And then the pattern's complete, and the karmic cycles finalize,
and the insight sharpens. You're not meant to repeat the
past. You're meant to choose
differently now, with honesty, courage and clarity, and that's
how you step out of the old cycle into something new.
So take the time to digest this and meet me back here tomorrow
for the individual sine horoscopes.

(35:48):
Until then, bye.

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz

The Brothers Ortiz is the story of two brothers–both successful, but in very different ways. Gabe Ortiz becomes a third-highest ranking officer in all of Texas while his younger brother Larry climbs the ranks in Puro Tango Blast, a notorious Texas Prison gang. Gabe doesn’t know all the details of his brother’s nefarious dealings, and he’s made a point not to ask, to protect their relationship. But when Larry is murdered during a home invasion in a rented beach house, Gabe has no choice but to look into what happened that night. To solve Larry’s murder, Gabe, and the whole Ortiz family, must ask each other tough questions.
