Speaker 1 (00:00):
This is basically a podcast that consists of a bunch
of people sitting around and pretending that they have a personality.

Speaker 2 (00:06):
Listen, bullshit, man, Yeah, what's wrong with the bo we got?

Speaker 3 (00:09):
It's trash.

Speaker 4 (00:11):
It does not slapped call and response? What are you
guys even doing?

Speaker 5 (00:19):
I got that much ask years ago.

Speaker 6 (00:22):
They tried to years ago. They tried to put me
in there.

Speaker 4 (00:27):
That means you're a lion stram. I did it with
the peck.

Speaker 7 (00:35):
And the rock.

Speaker 8 (00:39):
Oh, come on in, Bonator says he.

Speaker 9 (00:44):
The water's fine.

Speaker 6 (01:16):
I'm tuned in.

Speaker 4 (01:17):
We're all tuned in. Tune in. It's the Hustle Season podcast.
James Kelly, Reggie back again? Did you miss us?

Speaker 3 (01:31):
Did you miss May?

Speaker 6 (01:33):
No?

Speaker 4 (01:33):
Not really? But I had a great week. How about you?
How was it?

Speaker 8 (01:39):
Week was all right? I'm trying to think what happened
last weekend? You did the Mingas?

Speaker 4 (01:46):
Nothing happened? Man, Come am?

Speaker 6 (01:47):
I mic on?

Speaker 4 (01:48):
Is this sing on?

Speaker 2 (01:49):
Yeah?

Speaker 4 (01:50):
It's on? Uh? You did Mingus? Yeah, we did that.

Speaker 1 (01:54):
The Mingus Awareness Project, which happened over three nights in
Richmond raising money for the ALS Association, which is Louke
Gerrick's disease, which is the parents of the guys who
founded the charity. Uh, their their mom died of that
and then that's why they came with his idea. Anyway,
three nights of music. We played on the second night

(02:16):
at the Mburg was cool. We played, uh what we
did what I said, was very fun. Mike and Mike
Hawkins in the Brotherhood opened up, but that was awesome.
Eight and then Mike Hawkins and Stephan had a duet
in one of the songs with us, and then we
had Saxomoe came and sat in on a song also,
so it was it was awesome. Also played with the

(02:37):
Toby Whitaker group Toby Whittaker on so well, that was cool.

Speaker 4 (02:42):
How big was his group?

Speaker 1 (02:45):
It was probably like eight horns eight horns. Wait, let
me think one, two trombones, two trumpets, like one, two, three,
maybe four saxophones. Yeah, eight horns. It was like a
big band, only on those. I only played on the
last song. Okay, before that it was probably five horns.

Speaker 8 (03:02):
I guess, Oh, okay, w word looks cool man, I
just remember what I was doing. I played one gig
with Ben White at Brandley Park with Todd and Scott Clark.

Speaker 4 (03:17):
The weather.

Speaker 8 (03:19):
Out it cleared up, but it was like, man, the
ship was like complete cap Like the weather was ridiculous
because it was saying that it was going to rain
all morning and go into the Really it was gonna
be supposed to go all day.

Speaker 4 (03:32):
But uh, we totally got.

Speaker 8 (03:34):
Lucky, man, and we were able to do the gig
still and it was really fun. It was okay turnout
because obviously, like the weather was trying to turn people
away for sure, but yeah, it was really fun. Corey
Wells on guitar as well came through and played.

Speaker 4 (03:50):
So real fun night.

Speaker 8 (03:52):
Make sure you guys check out Ben White stuff. By
the way, he just put out another single called low
Lea Ground, So on all your media's shoutouts DSPs.

Speaker 4 (04:02):
Yeah, what about you, James.

Speaker 10 (04:05):
I didn't do any gigs except for a church gig.
But I've been doing all that pedal stuff. Pedals, half
of them, half of the pre orders have like already
sold like half of the stock.

Speaker 4 (04:18):
It's only like.

Speaker 10 (04:19):
Like twenty twenty five pedals I'm doing on this one
limited well in this form, so now I'm like getting
into more having them all assembled not by me. And
if I do that, I can smaller parts and make
the actually smaller so it's less materials, let's you know.

(04:44):
So the next pedal that I'm doing is the ole fuzz,
which I've made before, but now I'm making it smaller
and it will cost less than it did originally. And yeah,
it's I'm very excited about it.

Speaker 4 (04:58):
But I actually am almost done with the design for.

Speaker 10 (05:01):
That, going to hold off before I order the first
couple because I got to test them and all that
and also see and like make sure that they do
sound like the original ones. But yeah, I just been
have a great time doing that stuff. So I also
met up with the screen printer this week and so,
I mean they've never painted these things before. But yeah,

(05:25):
I'm trying to do as much so much not myself,
but the screen printer local is nice to have. But
I'm gonna the painted by the boxes. I'm gonna order
pre drilled and painted to my specs.

Speaker 4 (05:39):
Cool.

Speaker 10 (05:40):
So really all I have to do is solder a
couple of things and then put the guts in the
box and screw some stuff together and nice. Yeah, but
it's now, yeah, ever since I got into that circuit
board fabrication software, and like the turnaround on them is
so quick cool. So yeah, it's all types of stuff

(06:00):
I'm thinking.

Speaker 4 (06:01):
Of now that can make that is very neat and small.

Speaker 10 (06:06):
Like I can't emphasize how crazy it is that this
stuff is shrunk like this size, Like there was enough.
I made that one pedal like this big because that's
like the only way I could fit everything in there.
But it's like larger parts and stuff, and it wasn't
that efficient. Now, like I can put it in a
box this big that's like half the size of it.

Speaker 4 (06:28):
That's awesome, and it also makes.

Speaker 10 (06:30):
It cheaper to make, which is why you can get
kind of like really awesome shit now for a reasonable
amount because the labor and all this other stuff is insane.

Speaker 4 (06:39):
Yeah, like this is all robots putting this shit together.
You getting handmade shit with the robot.

Speaker 10 (06:46):
It's coming from China, and I'm able, Like I can
submit the design the file with the specs for all
the parts, which they keep in house where they make
the circuit boards, but they populate the circuit boards everything,
So I could send them the file on a Monday
and I could get the boards by possibly Friday or

(07:09):
Saturday morning from China. Wow, like manufactured and everything.

Speaker 4 (07:13):
That's crazy. To get your ship. Uh well, right now
you put orders in.

Speaker 10 (07:18):
Uh so you send to the email to jsl Pedals
at gmail dot com.

Speaker 4 (07:22):
And also if you're on Instagram.

Speaker 10 (07:25):
And follow James Stress on there, you just DM me
and give me your email and I'll just send you
the form and every order pre order form and all
that stuff.

Speaker 4 (07:33):
And then after this is this is not going to
be the end of.

Speaker 10 (07:36):
These pedals after this run, but they're gonna be redesigned
into a smaller package. Uh, but only after I've done
the Ola fuzzes. So that's gonna be the next thing,
because people have wanted those for a long time and
it's just finally I can do it the way I
want at a reasonable cost.

Speaker 4 (07:54):
So yeah, I'm getting it on here now.

Speaker 8 (07:57):
No, it's super exciting that you that you brought the
pills right, very perfect time. All right, sweet, anything that
we want to tonight, I will talk about it because
by Friday it will have passed. But you can get
your tickets now to it's a hip hop with strings
featuring drums. It's a show that it's held by Candlelight Concerts,

(08:21):
I believe, and they do this all over the place.
But yeah, they're doing one in Richmond this Thursday. So
it's at the Bowling Haxel House and that is on
Franklin Street. But I believe you can just go to
Candlelight Concerts or just put that in on Google and
you'll be able to find the website, because I don't
have any of that information.

Speaker 4 (08:42):
But it's a really cool show. It was.

Speaker 8 (08:44):
It's been sold out every time that I've played it,
so you know, you might be able to get tickets.

Speaker 4 (08:49):
Maybe not, but it's.

Speaker 8 (08:50):
Two shows at the Bowling Haxel House Candlelight Concerts. It's
gonna be really cool if Yeah, and let's see, do
I have any other thing to promote this week? Oh yeah, Blackout, Karaokehi,
common House nine to twelve.

Speaker 4 (09:10):
I gotta go to this.

Speaker 8 (09:11):
It's super fun, man. We're actually we've developed the system.
It's pretty it's pretty tight. All right, But yeah, Friday,
common House, DM us at at Instagram at Karaoke, Blackout, RBA.

Speaker 4 (09:28):
Or DM one of us. It's all good. And get
on the list. You have anything this weekend. I don't
know now the top I'm out of town.

Speaker 8 (09:40):
Okay, cool, great, we can go straight to music News. Okay,
A lot to talk about did you guys watch the
Olympics so much?

Speaker 4 (09:55):
Olympics. I watched the mad Olympics.

Speaker 8 (09:57):
We talked about the Olympics a little bit last week,
but we had not seen the breakdancing breakdancing competition.

Speaker 4 (10:06):
Did you guys see that or any of that.

Speaker 8 (10:09):
I saw the gold metal on the end. Oh okay,
it was tight, Okay, Yeah. There was somebody that went
viral for like really horrible.

Speaker 4 (10:17):
Yeah, the Australian girl. Australian girl, I've got last place
in the Olympics.

Speaker 1 (10:23):
Yeah, yes, you actually get no point, but yeah, she
got zero points.

Speaker 4 (10:30):
The closing ceremonies was were insane. I didn't see the
closing one. I saw the opening one.

Speaker 8 (10:34):
I saw a lot of the closing and some of
the ship reminded me of like a Kanye show.

Speaker 4 (10:41):
Fashion show sort disolet fashion hip hop facts like it was.

Speaker 8 (10:44):
It was just like people all in like one color
and like they're doing like some super slow moving ship
Like yeah, I mean it's like show.

Speaker 4 (10:55):
It was like four hours long long.

Speaker 10 (10:57):
Olympics all forms of the Olympics saying it was.

Speaker 8 (11:00):
The closing ceremony was just I mean, it was a lot.
And then they had that What was cool was they
had a lot of French pop music.

Speaker 4 (11:08):
Ship. Yeah, I like that. That was cool.

Speaker 8 (11:10):
And Phoenix played and uh and I don't I feel
like they didn't sound live until like the last song
or two as bar like you couldn't you couldn't really tell.
And they did some song with the dude from Vampire Weekend.

Speaker 1 (11:23):
I'm like, I'm good on that. Like, I'm good on that.
I was watching the tm USA. That was tight, felt
like like being some kid again, kind of watching the
Dream Team.

Speaker 4 (11:32):
That was Those are all exciting. Uh, that was cool.

Speaker 8 (11:36):
But Tom Cruise showed up at the end, at the
end of the opening, I mean near the.

Speaker 4 (11:45):
Just dance he did. He danced, so he is a
great dancer.

Speaker 8 (11:48):
No, no, no, no, no, he so he They're gonna
have the ship in Hollywood in l A twenty eight,
so they had him come through and like.

Speaker 4 (11:57):
Oh in the Hollywood Act of Tom Cruise. He came through.
But he also like literally he like jumped out of
a helicopter. They're gonna have the Olympics in l A
next time. Yeah, so yeah, so that's why it's gonna
be interesting. The Red Hot Chili.

Speaker 8 (12:10):
Peppers they showed up because they went to l A
and then did like a whole special after the.

Speaker 1 (12:15):
Equipment that was Snoop because that's why Snoop is been
so prominent.

Speaker 4 (12:19):
Yeah, yeah, Snoop.

Speaker 10 (12:21):
Where I wonder what they're gonna do with all the
homeless speedball that are bro Like, you can sweep them
ships out of Brazil, you can sweep them sits out
of l A.

Speaker 4 (12:30):
Man, they sweep them ships right up out of there.

Speaker 10 (12:32):
They don't do anything about it until they hit the Olympics.
It takes the Olympics to come to town to clean
up the town.

Speaker 8 (12:38):
Yeah, it looks pretty crazy. Yeah, they did like a
whole two hour special after the closing ceremonies, Like they
just kept they just kept it going all night and
uh yeah, like my wife was was very disgusted at
the time Cruise showed up. It was like zi man, random,
It is like he just showed up and just like

(12:58):
did a whole run.

Speaker 4 (12:59):
Uh it was weird.

Speaker 8 (13:03):
Oh but her she did the national anthem there, Okay,
that was cool, all right.

Speaker 4 (13:08):
That was that was an arrangement of just like kept
it clean.

Speaker 8 (13:11):
You know what she did her it was the right key.
It was no I'm saying it was the right key.
I'm saying she did just did it good. She did it,
got in there, got out, she she found she found
what her key was. She had her keyboard player there
with him too, with her, and then she did a
guitar solo and they threw in some like.

Speaker 4 (13:31):
At the end, and it was good. It was really good.
I saw another flave do it. He was in town,
no ship. He could have played piano. He coulda played
piano and saying it, uh yeah, okay.

Speaker 8 (13:44):
So the other national anthem that I saw was Tyresee
I didn't see this. Tyres did a national anthem, And
I think we should take.

Speaker 10 (13:51):
A look at WHOA because Trees like a contemporary of
Jacques Jacques.

Speaker 4 (13:58):
Contemporary. No, like that's not the same, Like he's much
older than him. Okay, yeah, yeah, he's like mentor he's
on mentor statue. I don't know the agent because a
lot of the names kind of sound the same.

Speaker 8 (14:08):
You know, Tyree has been around since like ninety six,
ninety seven.

Speaker 4 (14:12):
Yeah, oh wow, yes, is not famous compared to t
I know.

Speaker 1 (14:16):
But didn't he say it was like the best or
something like he was like, yeah, he was trying to
he was he was.

Speaker 4 (14:20):
Trying to jump up some support. It didn't work. Yeah,
here's the tires on all right?

Speaker 8 (14:27):
Yes, yeah, this is uh, this is pretty amazing.

Speaker 4 (14:34):
I saw the picture of it. I was like, what
the fuck?

Speaker 1 (14:37):
So give he's a nasty one. Yeah, guy, little dyeing
that beard, got that beard up, so he has like
a full Marvin Gage one. No, it's not dude like.

Speaker 6 (14:54):
Pig.

Speaker 4 (14:55):
Yeah hit the top, Jane, let me pull it back here.

Speaker 11 (14:58):
Yeah yeah, what in the Barbie Gay version with the congus?

Speaker 4 (15:08):
Oh m hmm, it's.

Speaker 6 (15:22):
It's just because it's like a it's it's just acapella
with the drummer.

Speaker 10 (15:28):
Yeah, but the drums sound like they're not in the
same plays or something, you know.

Speaker 4 (15:32):
Like oh no, I think they're just changed.

Speaker 6 (15:36):
Change tape cocas. But that's played on the those figgers. Yeah,
that's what I think.

Speaker 8 (15:41):
That sounds like a lot, But he sounds good.

Speaker 4 (15:46):
He's just wearing a ridiculous outfit. He is wearing like
a costume, like a Disney costume.

Speaker 6 (15:53):
It's like he has a Barbi Gay outfit on it.

Speaker 4 (15:55):
Yeah, he's modd gay.

Speaker 6 (15:57):
Is that really what he's doing? Real?

Speaker 4 (16:01):
He said, he was definitely. I thought them as a joke.
That's really what he's doing. Yeah, he's an actor. He's
re enacting Marvin Gaye.

Speaker 8 (16:08):
He tried to do the mar he's trying to do
Marvin Gaye, but or like how he would do it,
but Marvin gay constant?

Speaker 4 (16:13):
Yes, what what that's that's taking forever too because of
these drugs. These drunks don't go with what is going on.

Speaker 6 (16:31):
It's a little fast. Yeah, let be freestyling.

Speaker 4 (16:37):
Yeah, he look at it off. They tried to cut
him off. Bro take it all day?

Speaker 6 (16:56):
Whoa that last note?

Speaker 4 (17:02):
Okay, all right, all right, Yeah that was that was Wow.

Speaker 8 (17:08):
He didn't need to do all that. If he had
just looked normal, he'd been fine.

Speaker 1 (17:12):
Honestly, you know, he just did. If you're gonna do
the Marvin Gaye one, do it for real with all
the like synthesizers and shit in there, you know what
I mean? Because you know, I'm all for people like
singing the Star Spangle banner as characters, and you know
he should cosplay. We should have Scorpion for Mortal Kombat
singing the Star Spangled banner, or he have Mario like

(17:32):
I don't have.

Speaker 4 (17:33):
I don't have a problem with any of that part
of it.

Speaker 1 (17:34):
But he just it's like he's he was freestyling the
performance still, you know, he's freestyling what actually happened other
than his costume.

Speaker 8 (17:43):
Yeah, it was a good key though for him.

Speaker 4 (17:46):
Again, but yeah he started in the write note. Yeah,
that's a lot tyre. You don't need to do all.

Speaker 10 (17:53):
That, bro, Somebody he should add somebody around him that said, like,
you wear a costume.

Speaker 1 (18:01):
Yeah, people are gonna crazy too. You can go viral.
So what you really are you just singing acapella? Well,
I'm bringing a loop of conga. I'm gonna sing over
loop of conga. And then so he just puts it on.
He's just I put on the loop of congo.

Speaker 4 (18:22):
It's all good.

Speaker 1 (18:23):
I'm gonna let Marma Gate speak through men. Yeah, that
you've just gotten the thing, got the It was just
mostly I think it loses its points for being boring.
It's probably about saying about a conga loop. I'm not mad,
but I'm not too slow. It doesn't work. Yeah, it's

(18:46):
gonna ruin the whole number.

Speaker 4 (18:48):
The number. Yeah, all right, cool, thanks terrees.

Speaker 8 (18:52):
Uh, Hugh Lewis to start in a curb your enthusiasm
style documentary series.

Speaker 4 (18:59):
That's random.

Speaker 1 (19:00):
Did you act, yes, yes, okay, yeah, several movies like
what back to the Future, The Future.

Speaker 4 (19:07):
I thought that was just counted as him being Hugh Lewis.
He did more. It was the principal. Okay. There's another
movie that was called it was called Shorts. Yes, he
was in that.

Speaker 8 (19:18):
That's like a big all star cast shortcuts.

Speaker 4 (19:21):
Short cuts, short cuts Okay. Yeah, that was like eighty
eight and it's like Tom Waits in it too.

Speaker 8 (19:27):
Yeah, it's like an all star cast. And then he
did a movie about, uh, karaoke.

Speaker 4 (19:32):
Yeah, the karaoke movie. You did the karaoke movie with
GW karaoke movie. Yeah, you're like professional carrier.

Speaker 10 (19:40):
I don't know, like I guess he was like a
real dude that just like a real singer that did care.

Speaker 4 (19:44):
I don't know what it was a true story now,
I don't know it's a true story.

Speaker 6 (19:48):
It was a movie with.

Speaker 1 (19:49):
The two of that, right, okay, yeah, never none never
heard none of that ship. I never heard none of
that ship. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (19:56):
Well, yeah, I think that could actually be pretty cool
because U I mean, yeah, Huey Lewis, I mean he
can't he can't tour anymore.

Speaker 4 (20:04):
Is it an ear thing or a singing thing or both?

Speaker 8 (20:07):
Ear the ear He's he's like losing his ear ring.
That sucks, yeah, earring his hearings earing. Uh yeah, so yeah,
it literally is following the singer as he navigates life
after losing his hearing. So yeah, he's gonna be literally
kind of true.

Speaker 4 (20:26):
Interesting.

Speaker 1 (20:27):
Yeah, all right, I hope that's funny.

Speaker 4 (20:30):
I hope that's funny.

Speaker 6 (20:31):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (20:32):
Let me see this is This is a half hour
series that's currently in the works at Fox.

Speaker 4 (20:37):
So that's good that That.

Speaker 8 (20:38):
Means there will be some money behind it. It's not
like I f C or something.

Speaker 4 (20:42):
All right, Now you have to make the whole thing first,
right right. It will be called whatever Happened to Huey Lewis.
I'm gonna check that out. Yeah, so yeah, I'm excited
about that. But I have somebody in the cast.

Speaker 6 (20:54):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (20:55):
Yeah, it's gonna have to be loaded up. Let me
see here, Araboo Ranch, Famed Home and Studio is now
for sale for forty eight point five million. There this
was I think Jim, excuse me, Jim Jierico. He produced

(21:16):
a lot of records. He produced like Chicago, Elton, John
Elton John has recorded some albums there, Joe Walsh, Stevie Wonder.
I know Earthline Fire did open our eyes there.

Speaker 4 (21:30):
I think some dad acts.

Speaker 8 (21:33):
Big big dad, big big dad acts. Yeah, and like
the big albums like Captain Fantastic.

Speaker 4 (21:39):
And selling the whole studio.

Speaker 8 (21:41):
They're selling the whole studio for fifty mili nearly fifty million.

Speaker 4 (21:46):
I guess some sort of celebrity, right, well, I mean.

Speaker 8 (21:51):
I was thinking, like, yeah, fucking Kanye or somebody like
they would buy it.

Speaker 4 (21:55):
I mean I don't want Kanye Kanye want to buy it.
It's not his style. No where he would just like
ruin it. Yeah, but I don't think that's it. That's
his thing. Get quested by it or something.

Speaker 1 (22:04):
Yeah, oh wow yeah, or Dave groll by it definitely,
Jack Jack White, Oh.

Speaker 4 (22:12):
Yeah, yeah, somebody, somebody big. It's like a toy for
a rich person.

Speaker 10 (22:18):
It's also like it's also like a museum, dude, the museum.
You know, up, keep take care of it. It's a
cool thing.

Speaker 4 (22:25):
Mm hmm. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (22:28):
I thought that was interesting. I saw this thing going
viral about Frankie Valley. He's doing these shows.

Speaker 10 (22:37):
Oh hell yeah, I've been this I've seen these pop
up on YouTube.

Speaker 1 (22:41):
Me and Lauria went to Madison Square Garden to see
the Mariah Carey Christmas Show. There was a lot of
ads for the Frankie Valley tour, like on like on
all of the walls at Madison Square Garden. I was like, damn,
Frankie Valley, you gotta be kind pretty old to go
on a world tours like mad Dates and you see
that year old. Yeah, makes all the sense in the world.

(23:03):
His mouth is not moving at all.

Speaker 4 (23:05):
Well. I even saw some comments walking around on one of.

Speaker 10 (23:09):
The videos that even the person was like, yeah, it
was kind of a Millie Vanilly thing, but it's really
neat to see him in person.

Speaker 4 (23:16):
Just look at him. Yeah, you don't like, that's just
kind of weird.

Speaker 5 (23:19):
Yeah, that's really weird. That's just it's a celebrity appearance.
Like does he fully want to be there? Or you
wouldn't be doing this if you didn't have to. I
don't think, man, well, I don't know. You think there's
some kids of his making him do it. Maybe he
maybe he got bills, Maybe he got bills right day.
He might write mad Kids or something. You know, Yeah, he.

Speaker 4 (23:38):
Didn't write none of his ship, you know what I'm saying.
Maybe he loves it. I don't know why is sound
not working? By mm hmm? Now that's not right. What
is that button dude at the speed to the left. Yeah, yeah,
I don't know what that ship is? Why this is

(24:00):
not YouTube? Yeah? This is uh, this is TikTok. Yeah
it's TikTok. Oh, maybe you might have to hit the
hold on weird still like this? It's not even doing that? Still?
Why is it reloaded? Because it usually don't have any
issues with this?

Speaker 1 (24:18):
Y TikTok pissing me off? Hol on, boy, if you
just watched something, inn't we Yeah?

Speaker 8 (24:29):
Yeah, hit him, hit another VID and see if if
we can, if we can hear it.

Speaker 6 (24:41):
Ship? All right, this isn't the same man.

Speaker 10 (24:51):
Yeah, hold on, I'm gonna take this back in here,
do some vamp for a second because I'll find it.

Speaker 4 (25:01):
All right cool.

Speaker 1 (25:03):
Maybe they pulled it down because it's just recordings, you know,
it's not really it's not really singing it, you know,
with the background singers and singing. But it looks kind
of like it also kind of looks like a bush
Garden show, you know, you like, he just kind of
like slowly walking to the middle of the stage and
there's like six or seven dudes that are dancing, you know,
and doing choreography around every moment.

Speaker 8 (25:27):
I saw another, Yeah, I mean and like Frank Valley
looking piste off too.

Speaker 4 (25:31):
He's like, don't touch me.

Speaker 1 (25:32):
He looks like yeah, he just looks like you're just
kind of standing there, like kind of like Joe Biden
was for a while, you know, just kind of like
looking there with his eyes. His eyes look all intense,
you know, but he's like he's not there.

Speaker 8 (25:43):
And he's singing too, so it's just like he's not
even like making the effort to make it look like
that he's singing.

Speaker 4 (25:49):
Maybe that's all he got. I found one from twenty
twenty three. Okay, that's probably that's the same tour. Oh
but it's been going. It's been going the whole time.
We'll find out right here. Yep, all right. It looks
very frail, very same same those dysy's there. Yeah, oh man,
for god, definitely looks ny. You got you got the

(26:14):
Danna Jacko Bandana frinch jack. A lot of people have
stayed back.

Speaker 3 (26:28):
You're just too to be true.

Speaker 12 (26:32):
You can't check my.

Speaker 9 (26:36):
Huge be like, yeah, robot robot as Love's bro.

Speaker 13 (26:49):
Thank god.

Speaker 4 (26:51):
It sounds like a hell just to that's not even coore.
I don't know what that what that any somebody side stage?
All right?

Speaker 1 (27:05):
So the are you not worse than this? Look look
at now his mouth is not moving.

Speaker 4 (27:10):
Oh no, there's one of the ones I saw is
even worse than this.

Speaker 8 (27:15):
Yeah, we do do? Uh yeah Frankie Valley, Oh what
a night?

Speaker 6 (27:23):
There you go?

Speaker 8 (27:24):
There you go, Yeah, I'll see that. It's like somebody
do Yeah, I just go here, there you go. Maybe
that one right there? Not next one? No, sorry, yeah
that one next week? Right yeah that one?

Speaker 1 (27:38):
Oh hell yeah, there we go. There we go once again.
All right, that's good to go.

Speaker 6 (28:03):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (28:03):
He definitely looks.

Speaker 14 (28:04):
Like oh ship, yeah, somebody got the compilation.

Speaker 4 (28:24):
It sounds like it sounds like there's a little autitude
on it too. Oh, it's definitely auto tune. I'm telling you.
They put his whole voice through ai AI or whatever.
Why is this all framed? I don't know whoever did
this video? Wow, wow, look at this one's really bad. Indeed,

(28:52):
that's exactly the same that way He's like, even this
loop is wow. So I maybe this has definitely been
a thing for years. It's been at least at least

(29:14):
two years. No, No, this this went back further than that,
didn't it. I think it went back.

Speaker 8 (29:19):
Yeah, it looked like maybe ten years. This might be
like pre COVID. It looked like, is what this is
what you said Kiss was doing? He said, yeah, that's
exactly what they said Kiss was doing. Well, they called him,
they called him out, and then like then you they
started just getting bad vocals again, Like they're.

Speaker 4 (29:35):
Just like, yeah, we're gonna sound like shit now.

Speaker 8 (29:38):
Yeah see yeah that's this says A twenty thirteen to
twenty twenty two.

Speaker 4 (29:42):
Wow, that's okay.

Speaker 10 (29:43):
So he's been it's just now that he's gotten so
bad at it.

Speaker 1 (29:47):
Yeah, he's really walking out there and it sounds too good.
Yeah we expected to sound so. Yeah he's a little old.
Yeah yeah, he's he's old as ship bro. I mean yeah, yeah,
he's still out here.

Speaker 8 (30:02):
I guess the show pays well, man, I sure hope.
So these other cats they're just like, hey, you know, oh,
just getting their gigs on.

Speaker 4 (30:09):
Ye feel him out one more time if he dies.

Speaker 8 (30:13):
Yeah, I'm just like, man, just hang it up, please,
actors obviously, but if he can still fill out fill
out of Massive Square.

Speaker 4 (30:20):
I don't know if. I don't know if he is,
he's not. He was playing there though he had a
show there. If you have, I mean, I Don'm filling
it out. Key on the skeedge. Bro you on the schedule,
I'll treat you this his Freaky Valley. Man. I don't
know if he's on the skeedge.

Speaker 8 (30:35):
I don't know because his show was like his Broadway
show was like pretty successful, supposedly.

Speaker 4 (30:40):
The Jersey Boy Oh Jersey Boys. Yeah, that was successful.

Speaker 8 (30:43):
That was like, man, yeah, so like his should still
be selling out there.

Speaker 4 (30:47):
It's crazy what to Night? Oh yeah, that's going on.

Speaker 8 (30:51):
Even though that wasn't him. I think he that's not him,
but I think he he might still have something to
do with the four Seasons. Nay, oh, like I think
he still got something to do with that, Like he
might he might own the trademark or something to Night, you.

Speaker 4 (31:04):
Know what else whatever.

Speaker 8 (31:09):
Barack Obama came out with his playlist, don't care his
cap man, who cares?

Speaker 15 (31:13):
Man?

Speaker 4 (31:14):
We we determined that. Less I'm on that joint, then
I care.

Speaker 6 (31:17):
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

Speaker 4 (31:19):
Shout out to everybody on that joint that I know.
Let's see.

Speaker 8 (31:24):
Bob Marley, you know them Marley. No Diggable Planets is
on it.

Speaker 4 (31:28):
That's cool, that's cool.

Speaker 8 (31:29):
There's a lot of new people. I mean yeah, he
definitely feel just this out through his like get it done.

Speaker 4 (31:35):
I saw a horseman shout out. Oh yeah yeah. Whoever
else on there? They need it, Casey and Jojo and Tupac,
how do you want it? He still got the hits
on that.

Speaker 10 (31:49):
It's like my jam jam uh all right, all right,
but really we really don't care what what's on.

Speaker 4 (31:56):
What's on with Kelly. He's the taste maker of our
generation for musical talent.

Speaker 1 (32:00):
That's right, Barack Obama, fuck out of here, Ack Obama.

Speaker 4 (32:05):
Lebron James. That's why you got to deal with Spotify
so you could have a record label.

Speaker 10 (32:09):
Oh yeah, him and the Springsteen can make relatable conversation.

Speaker 4 (32:17):
Let me see here, what else I got? You ever
have dinner with your wife? Yeah?

Speaker 1 (32:22):
You know it takes forever sometimes, you know, yes, forever
to get those dinners.

Speaker 4 (32:26):
Sometimes, thanks forever gets to dinner. Yeah, you know, we
finally get it to dinner. The worst podcast ever not
good at Wow who would have thought terrible, Wow, what
you got Kelly? You might die? Uh yeah, somebody died somebody.
Who's the other? I had one question. Here's one thing,

(32:48):
why is it that? Why no people were talking about
Joe Rogan's stand up.

Speaker 8 (32:56):
I haven't seen it yet. I have Netflix. I haven't
seen it, but like the reviews of our been out there,
they were saying that it's pretty terrible, and that've been
like incredible.

Speaker 4 (33:07):
He's yeah, that's one thing.

Speaker 1 (33:08):
He's never been amazing. I've never been like like he
got that most Jews from taking down Carlos Sin Yeah,
which wasn't even fun, wasn't literally what kind of set
the podcast off? You know, just like I'm just gonna
start talking.

Speaker 10 (33:23):
It got them at tension between the podcast and fear factor.

Speaker 4 (33:27):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (33:27):
And also his reputation was that he literally would like
give me give money to comedians like all the time,
like he supposedly no, just like support them, you know,
like like dudes coming up or people coming up, And
it seems like literally supposed to comedy world he did
like help feed a lot of comedians or whatever. But yeah,
no one's really talked about his comedy. But my question

(33:49):
was do you think that some comedians comedy uh suffers
because they are doing so many podcasts, because I do
feel like like Printer, because I do feel like that.
You know, it's a little different now with like comedians
being so out in front now all the time.

Speaker 10 (34:12):
I think it's done nothing but help at least good comics. Well,
that's what I'm like with other good comics. I think
a lot of the comics that people know about are
more mainstream comics, and some of them are really good.
There's like your Bill Burr's and then younger people you
know you've got. But it's like also to a lot
of people, like what they know about comedians is like

(34:33):
Brendan shab and like Brian Kallen. Like in certain people's world,
like they're not into comedy and music, They're more into
like sports and other shit.

Speaker 4 (34:42):
You know, Like so to them, that is what comedy is.

Speaker 10 (34:46):
So I think, and I think a lot of those
A lot of the comedians that are really famous don't
necessarily have the best podcast some of them do. You know,
Joe Rogan's comedian has a good podcast. Bill Burr had one. Again,
he's a good example of that. David l can do
stuff like that, you know, but not everybody is Mark Marin. Yeah,

(35:08):
that's a great example, but not everybody can do that. Yeah, Like,
not all stand up comedians are good on a podcast.

Speaker 1 (35:15):
It seems like some of the people are really good
on the podcast, and they try to flip that into.

Speaker 4 (35:22):
Those people that were non stand up.

Speaker 1 (35:23):
Yeah, if they were stand ups, but they weren't really
great at stand up, and they like when we were
last time I was in LA, when we watched the
comedy shows, everybody went up there was talking about their podcasts,
and like there was people in the audience that were
like cheering because they've seen the podcast and they're like, yeah,
how many guys heard about what's what Kevin's such and
such like yeah, you know, so like the audience is

(35:44):
kind of melding from like here just wanting to see
them stand on the stage, you know, like from podcasts,
and they were all pretty bad because they kind of
tried to do what is just podcast banter, yeah, stand
up and they were terrible.

Speaker 4 (35:58):
I'll say it.

Speaker 1 (35:59):
By experience positive experiences with comedians that podcasting him live.
The fact that they're on a podcast is something they
don't even mention, and maybe at the end to mention
it because they're publicist or somebody that they need to,
you know, like those are the best comedians.

Speaker 4 (36:17):
It's like, oh, and by the way, I do.

Speaker 10 (36:18):
This, Yeah, you know a big big Ja Yeah, Big
Jay's like that. There's a Mike Rainey was another guy
that was that came through town. He was good and
he did He's on a podcast, and starv Ros was
on Cometown. But like, you know, those guys don't even
talk about it when they're on.

Speaker 1 (36:35):
But they like if your examples not your examples of
our examples are the people who got those big Netflix deals.
So star Wars he got, he has one. Yeah, and
you know Matt Rife because he went viral doing crowd work,
so he has a crowd work special.

Speaker 4 (36:53):
You know.

Speaker 1 (36:54):
But I don't know, I feel like is a good comedian,
Like sometimes the situations like him where they had a
couple good moments but they don't have the fortitude to
continue producing material. Yeah, I think comedians kind of need
him now. It's kind of a it's kind of a
go hand in hand, you gotta tell it kind of

(37:15):
replaced going on morning radio.

Speaker 4 (37:18):
I mean, I mean, assuming you still go on.

Speaker 1 (37:20):
Morning radio, depending on like what town you're in, you
might still need to hit.

Speaker 4 (37:23):
It maybe, but like nobody really.

Speaker 1 (37:25):
Well, if you're hitting the fun in Richmond, you should
probably hit one of those radio stations, you know what
I mean.

Speaker 8 (37:33):
Brn Wayans doesn't have a podcast, you know, he definitely
still does like that that circuit, Yeah, the news circuit
and morning radio and stuff. Yeah, I mean Shane Shane Gillis.
I think he's a great example because I think he's
such a strong comedian that he can do offshoots podcast,
like you know, he's got the ship with what Matt

(37:54):
and Shane or whatever Tony and then and then he
could show up on other people's podcast and still have
it great. Guess he's a great he's a great part.
Like the Joe Rogan crew.

Speaker 10 (38:05):
You know, it's like Mark Norman and and.

Speaker 8 (38:10):
I haven't really checked out Mark Norman's stand up, like
he's great.

Speaker 4 (38:15):
I mean he's great on podcast.

Speaker 10 (38:16):
Joe List is another guy that is in that crew
that's awesome.

Speaker 4 (38:20):
Yeah. Yeah, Anthony jessel Nick I think.

Speaker 1 (38:23):
Yeah, he still has he's kind of an elder statesman now.
You know, he was a young hot shot I'll say whatever,
and now he's like talks all grizzled. Yeah, like talking
speaking the truth. Yeah, he's speaking the truth now.

Speaker 4 (38:36):
Yeah.

Speaker 10 (38:36):
Well, I mean there's a lot of good comedians around.

Speaker 4 (38:39):
He's one good moment for Yeah, he's.

Speaker 8 (38:41):
One that you would have expected to parlay that into
a some kind of big TV career kind of thing.

Speaker 1 (38:50):
Yeah, because I mean he has. We had he had
a TV show. It just didn't go as well as
he thought. I mean, he has kind of like a
like a daily show, but kind of like a daily
show kind of ridiculousness that.

Speaker 4 (39:01):
On a Comedy Central.

Speaker 1 (39:02):
It wasn't you know, it was like a late night
show and then it was like he had a desk
and he was interviewing people.

Speaker 4 (39:08):
You know I'm talking about it was a late night
show for a while.

Speaker 8 (39:11):
It wasn't for very long, you know, But I mean,
I just just thinking about him. I'm like, man, I mean,
it seemed like he would have broken out into whatever,
but he's kind of hung in there and just been
like a dope stand up. But I do think he
was he on Harlan Williams podcast or with one of
the other because I just I saw a clip of

(39:31):
those two together. That ship was That ship was hilarious.
I think that was his I think that was just
next podcast. Okay, all right, yeah, well that just something
I was just thinking off the top, because, like, you know,
it kind of surprises me that Joe Rogan's comedy hasn't
gotten better or whatever at this point. You know, he's
like because he's he works with like Chappelle like all

(39:52):
the time.

Speaker 4 (39:52):
It's like two different muscles.

Speaker 10 (39:54):
But you know what, I think, Joe, Joe Take's gotten
better at comedy from now nowadays compared to where he
came from.

Speaker 8 (40:03):
I think you haven't seen it. You haven't seen the
new one yet, but I've seen very old Joe.

Speaker 4 (40:07):
You've seen Okay, Yeah, he got better over the years.

Speaker 10 (40:11):
I don't know what's happened in the past maybe three
or four years with him, but you know, he's better.

Speaker 4 (40:16):
He's been on an incline. Whether you think he's.

Speaker 8 (40:18):
Good or not, he's well, he's you know, he's a
great His whole thing with the podcast thing, you know,
I mean, his genius to me is how like well
he can listen to people.

Speaker 4 (40:28):
I mean, he really will fucking drop out. He'll let
anybody talk about any old bullshit on that joint.

Speaker 10 (40:33):
Sometimes I wish he'd interjet going once in a while.

Speaker 4 (40:36):
Yeah, really didn't.

Speaker 8 (40:37):
Well, so, I mean like Terrence Hower, shit, he was
like deer in headlights. He was like, he was like,
I don't know what the fuck he's talking about. Yea,
he had to get the other dude, the other really
smart cat to come in and.

Speaker 4 (40:46):
Show it's hilarious. How like Neil de gras Tyson.

Speaker 10 (40:50):
I feel like he's starting to lose popularity and these
other scientists are taking his place. Yeah, and what's the
dude's name that did the.

Speaker 4 (40:58):
Terrence Tower one? Yeah, Eric. I think it's like Eric
Weinstein or something like that. Yeah.

Speaker 10 (41:03):
So he's like kind of more of the crew of like, well,
you know that's not necessarily right, but you have good intentions.
And that's the same thing the overs is like fuck
that ship, like no, but but no hard Like he
was like, that's nonsense.

Speaker 4 (41:25):
He will be. He will be.

Speaker 8 (41:27):
He will be arrogant in the way that he will
come back. You cats for Like he was.

Speaker 1 (41:33):
Like nerd equivalent of like suck it, and he's just like, well,
it definitely was not that.

Speaker 8 (41:42):
It was.

Speaker 4 (41:43):
It was so nice you.

Speaker 1 (41:44):
Will be by It was saucy, want right now, he
wants to clap back because the thing was.

Speaker 4 (41:49):
A little bit of right now. He was like, he
will be like because it was it was.

Speaker 1 (41:54):
It was a response to Tarce Howard's clapping. It was
Neil was a response. I don't like it because he
was like, I gave Neil the grass tics in my
paper in the Vitol. He turned back to me, Yeah
he was and the grass to be like, look, man,
I had to tell him that it was wrong.

Speaker 8 (42:12):
But is that the thing you can't be don't be spicy.
Don't be spicy with spicy, thank you.

Speaker 4 (42:21):
That's where spicy. That's where Bill ny Guy went away
for a little while.

Speaker 1 (42:24):
He got a little too fresh when he like would
touch somebody, he's brought something, did.

Speaker 4 (42:27):
Something crazy, something crazy breast. But he got nerves. I
think so too. He got overexposed. That's how that's how
Bill Nye science guy.

Speaker 8 (42:37):
That's how he started losing people too, because he started
getting spicy with all the ship get spicy.

Speaker 10 (42:45):
I'm just say, yeah, he did lose you, but he did.
But homey Neil is only getting spicy with Terrence Howard.
This is like a thing between the two of the beef.

Speaker 4 (42:54):
They got it. Oh, no what it is, but they
do not like each other.

Speaker 15 (42:58):
Oh.

Speaker 1 (42:58):
I think that's the thing with Joe rogan comedy that
kind of like shifted it weird is that he got
a little political.

Speaker 4 (43:04):
Okay you know what I mean. Well, I mean look
at it. You just said. Yeah, he does a bunch
yourself with Dave Chappelle, So I know that that was.
Oh yeah, he opened them. Yeah, they just show together
in like huge arenas.

Speaker 10 (43:14):
And yeah on brand if you're opening day.

Speaker 4 (43:17):
And I think Chappelle too.

Speaker 1 (43:18):
I think his comedy has actually kind of taken a
little weirdness from the like, yes politically ness of it all.
You know, yes, yes, like what I have to say
is extremely important. Maybe we'll laugh, you know, they throw
some jokes in there, but yeah serious.

Speaker 4 (43:35):
Yeah, you can't prepared for anything with the Chapelle at
this point.

Speaker 8 (43:39):
All right, cool, that was a good uh good side
track there. Let's let's roll to Mad Big Ups.

Speaker 4 (43:48):
All right, this will be not too long.

Speaker 8 (43:56):
But Sean Martin last week, but yeah, Grammy winning musician
no for his work with Snarky Puppy, Kirk Franklin, Yeah,
Ericabadu and yeah he was post played with Snarky Puppy
this past weekend for the Richmond Jazz and Music Festival,
and they postponed that performance, you know, yeah, which is

(44:20):
which is very sad. But yeah, I read that he
had a stroke I think last year and was just
never made a full recovery, I guess, which is just
horrible because he was mad young, you know, So this
is it's a trip. But I mean incredible musician. I
mean played did he played like a bunch of instruments.

Speaker 1 (44:40):
You played drums and he played keys. I've only seen
him play keys with live. I've seen him play drums online,
but I've seen him play a couple of times and
like really like ultra killing like and not I don't
want to say tasteful, but just like really making a
lot of music, even with the ability to be all chops,
you know what I mean, like really making some dope ship.

Speaker 4 (45:01):
So that's a shame.

Speaker 6 (45:02):
Man.

Speaker 1 (45:03):
He's young and killing it and like still in the
midst of killing it.

Speaker 4 (45:06):
Yeah.

Speaker 8 (45:07):
Yeah, actually yeah, here I have I have one clip
here that I could send you send to you, James
right here from that from insta.

Speaker 4 (45:18):
Part of that gospel community.

Speaker 8 (45:21):
Yeah, I mean just I mean that whole crew is
just so ridiculously impressive.

Speaker 4 (45:26):
Yeah, North Texas, North Texas, exactly. Yeah. This one right here, Yeah,
this one viral back in the day.

Speaker 16 (45:36):
The speaker speaker bottom right hand.

Speaker 17 (46:19):
So I mean can get fired, we can get funky
with the modulation.

Speaker 10 (46:22):
Whill yeah, man making it making it sound human.

Speaker 6 (46:27):
Yeah, it sounds grossed.

Speaker 8 (46:30):
Yuh mad, big ups, mad, big ups Sean Martin. All right,
ladies and gentlemen, we're gonna be right back with slaps.

Speaker 4 (46:39):
All right now, m.

Speaker 7 (46:45):
Lap just slap.

Speaker 8 (46:49):
Okay, I loaded it up with loaded it up with
so many slaps.

Speaker 4 (46:55):
Yeah, so many on here.

Speaker 1 (46:56):
Slap slap arrama, slap topia.

Speaker 4 (47:01):
A couple of things on here caught my eye.

Speaker 10 (47:03):
There's some old people here, there's some new Yes, so.

Speaker 1 (47:09):
You haven't checked in with the old? Do we check
in with some old people? Let we checked into Billy Corgan. Yeah,
well you got older than that. Here's what you sticking to?
Some old people.

Speaker 10 (47:17):
Well we'll start out light, we'll get Billy Corgan age
old people. Okay, the smile, Oh yeah back again. Yeah,
they got a new thing here me.

Speaker 4 (47:31):
Yeah, the smile. They look they're blowing up.

Speaker 1 (47:34):
Yeah, well good concert not loud. Oh yeah, you did
see that it wasn't loud enough. But I don't know
what the fuck they're doing over there.

Speaker 4 (47:41):
Turns up.

Speaker 8 (47:42):
Uh, well, this song is called don't Get Me started,
Don't get me started.

Speaker 4 (47:46):
Here we go.

Speaker 6 (47:52):
Oh man, I really thought it was gonna startlight.

Speaker 18 (47:54):
Yeah, it's nice, crazy, Yeah, something later.

Speaker 6 (48:08):
It's gonna take five minutes come in the last two words.

Speaker 4 (48:14):
Yeah, now, not where you think it's gonna be.

Speaker 6 (48:18):
Definitely that, it's gonna let this wrong one sis right
for a while.

Speaker 4 (48:27):
It's gonna be it's gonna be instrumental.

Speaker 6 (48:30):
No, it's not start your speed. Let me wait for it.
Guys close, guys doing and don't get him started, don't
get him knock. I'm not.

Speaker 7 (48:59):
Gee someone you don't get to. Oh my god, nothing

(49:24):
is true.

Speaker 4 (49:28):
Six minutes.

Speaker 6 (49:28):
Song sounds like a couple of things are triggered. Good
soil triggered.

Speaker 4 (49:37):
Definitely, don't call me back.

Speaker 6 (49:47):
A band ad.

Speaker 4 (49:48):
Yeah, you don't get it's at least three.

Speaker 8 (49:52):
Like this.

Speaker 6 (49:53):
I like all of this. I like all of it,
but you know, what are you at? There you go?
It's nice, Hey, ago, thank you?

Speaker 4 (50:05):
Any false means nus.

Speaker 6 (50:14):
Any for means not.

Speaker 4 (50:17):
Silks and the silks on any false means nothing.

Speaker 7 (50:27):
You don't get, don't get let's see your gut style.

Speaker 6 (50:42):
Other times it is cool.

Speaker 4 (50:44):
They just really taking the time.

Speaker 12 (50:50):
I mean, we get great off of this. Me want
to see if there's like a rich it's a lot
of play with the reverb.

Speaker 19 (51:02):
Crazy, all right, it might that's cool, man.

Speaker 6 (51:18):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (51:19):
Yeah, that's like another two and a half man, that's crazy.

Speaker 1 (51:22):
Yeah, that's cool, all right, gosh, Okay, you know it
doesn't like slap. It is cool though, like that's I'm
gonna listen to that on my headphones, and I'm gonna
listen to this album. Sorry, I meant to hit that one,
so I'm gonna listen to this when it drops.

Speaker 4 (51:38):
You know, it doesn't slaps.

Speaker 1 (51:40):
I'm gonna let it slap, okay, but you know, but
you know it's like art slap, you know.

Speaker 4 (51:48):
Yeah, take an all damn day.

Speaker 8 (51:50):
Yeah, this kind of feels like almost like a I
don't know, this doesn't feel as bandy it does like
some of the other joints. You know, it's cool, but
it kind of feels like a Tom York kind of
solo kind of thing here, you know what I mean.
But there's a lot of cool ship happening. Though I
love the the way that the like r pegiated thing

(52:13):
kind of just like like breaks down every time when
it gets to that part that ship was cool, it
doesn't really slap for me though it doesn't. It's cool,
but it doesn't really slap for me.

Speaker 4 (52:27):
So I can't do this with noting wrong with that?
All right? Well, yeah I don't.

Speaker 10 (52:32):
I don't think it slaps just like, you know, even
if you like it, just it's not you know.

Speaker 1 (52:38):
And also it's way too long wait wait wait, chilling
kind of hard, especially for a single.

Speaker 6 (52:44):
Is this a single?

Speaker 4 (52:45):
Yeah?

Speaker 6 (52:47):
What are they thinking?

Speaker 4 (52:48):
You're chilling hard?

Speaker 1 (52:49):
But I'm letting this slap because I like I like
the arc, right right, I don't want them to get
and nobody.

Speaker 4 (52:53):
Likes this, you know what I'm saying. That's right, a
political slap. We got one because it's not that I
definitely it's definitely not that I don't like trash. He's
not trash.

Speaker 10 (53:01):
Guys, we're gonna go back a little bit older than him, alright,
not too much shoulder. So we have Lenny Kravitz appearing
on the track by Quavo.

Speaker 4 (53:12):
Oh okay, all right, Davo. Yeah, that's that's interesting.

Speaker 6 (53:17):
I'll give you it.

Speaker 4 (53:18):
See what's up? Alright's what's the name? Oh man, I
think I put it under the name of this song.
It's the name of this dumb song. Yeah. Fly all right,
Well that seems to be a Kraviats thing.

Speaker 6 (53:33):
Yeah.

Speaker 4 (53:34):
Yeah, he likes that word.

Speaker 10 (53:35):
It likes flying all right, fly by Quavo and Lenny Kravitz.

Speaker 4 (53:42):
Fly. Oh, it's just sample to.

Speaker 6 (53:54):
Wow.

Speaker 4 (53:56):
He's in the cover art that no out.

Speaker 6 (54:07):
She look at a cheat?

Speaker 9 (54:08):
Yeah easy, I've been in the way like actual stamp.

Speaker 6 (54:17):
This gives get drunk. That's did it again?

Speaker 4 (54:23):
You want me to know which way we're going?

Speaker 7 (54:25):
That way?

Speaker 6 (54:26):
Total? I wanta not get you paid like that.

Speaker 4 (54:29):
Okay, that's right, Mack, go right, you like that.

Speaker 6 (54:32):
I want to fight that. I want to fight back. Okay, okay, she.

Speaker 4 (54:45):
I'm glad that one was quick. It's over. Well, I mean,
so we're gonna get at it. You got a verse? Yeah,
let's see if Lenny got something to say. Okay, he's
right now, that's Letty's far. No, No, he might have
a verse.

Speaker 6 (55:02):
What about fast forward?

Speaker 4 (55:15):
Okay, so he's not even on this, Yeah, he's not
on it.

Speaker 1 (55:21):
He's not even on It's not really Remember there was
that Drake song It said Drake feature in Laurence Hill,
but it was just like a sample of in the background.

Speaker 4 (55:28):
That's what they just did here. That's I don't like that.

Speaker 1 (55:31):
I don't like that either. It seems dishonest. Yes, yeah,
very much. It's like only old fashioned. But well, hey,
so dude, that was disgraceful. Yeah, I'm with you, all right, Yeah,
I got nothing for that.

Speaker 4 (55:46):
Kelly.

Speaker 8 (55:47):
You don't like this, right, No, I mean, like, wow,
like you, it's just so easy. It's like it feels
like dude, it feels so easy, just like but it
it did sound like Lenny is singing it again.

Speaker 4 (56:00):
Man, what there's some cubsing right here? Wow? Well a man,
so this I know, Well, I'll make it up.

Speaker 10 (56:09):
To you because this guy is definitely on the recording.

Speaker 4 (56:13):
Uh is he only recording? Oh, he's on the recording.
You guys heard of this dude named David Gilmore. David Gilmore.

Speaker 10 (56:24):
Yeah, all right, Well these songs by David Gilmore's well,
Dark and Velvet Nights.

Speaker 4 (56:32):
What Yeah, Dark and Velvet Nights prediction Okay, Doug and
vilm n Oh you think it's gonna just start with that.

Speaker 8 (56:44):
No, no, I don't think it's gonna start with that,
but I think that's what the melody is going down.

Speaker 10 (56:47):
I think it'll start with some type of thorough, very
uh spacey type of thing going on, maybe some textual
guitar stuff or some synthesizer, and then it'll start by
there's gonna be a little bit of that flavor at
the beginning.

Speaker 1 (57:02):
All right, piano, piano, straight up piano, okay, ham, all right, well,
here here we go, darken velvet nights.

Speaker 3 (57:17):
I didn't think so this could be all on uto death.
Do we tell the man the magic the key?

Speaker 4 (57:31):
I'll not talk to ecstasy.

Speaker 3 (57:37):
Shocking in the world that is spoken.

Speaker 9 (57:42):
Black u long daper, the shredded tool for common stones.

Speaker 4 (57:49):
Lying shattered and broken rock.

Speaker 3 (57:53):
Chos package along the long top wid.

Speaker 4 (58:00):
Post, and this duf.

Speaker 3 (58:06):
Night I will wrap around its soft looks.

Speaker 1 (58:14):
That spoken.

Speaker 20 (58:17):
Almazy slogans and flow to the lot of rip as
the ponds.

Speaker 4 (58:25):
Waiting sect faith.

Speaker 2 (58:30):
Sky high.

Speaker 3 (58:32):
He said good by to your please your mine.

Speaker 4 (58:38):
Don't like to make a suit.

Speaker 6 (58:42):
I can't.

Speaker 4 (58:46):
This is what Mom's gonna sound like right here, this guy,
something kind of sounds like your mother.

Speaker 6 (58:50):
This is better.

Speaker 2 (58:51):
Oh no, oh, man, my suit thinking how will we hunt?

Speaker 3 (59:00):
But I hold you all? Oh you mean left holding
my between his breath.

Speaker 6 (59:17):
Smell this du.

Speaker 2 (59:32):
All right, that's drownd.

Speaker 4 (59:36):
You know, I say, man, I need a real good job.

Speaker 10 (59:42):
I think like, uh, it sounds like him, like his
stuff that he had, like sounds like his input to
Pink Floyd. Yeah, boss, but yeah, I think it's he's
his voice sounds the same, and he still can play
his horror well. And uh and I thought I thought
that was actually that was really good.

Speaker 4 (01:00:04):
That surprised me.

Speaker 10 (01:00:05):
I guess I I guess I keep thinking of him
and Roger Waters is like equals, but that's not the case.

Speaker 4 (01:00:14):
This guy's way better music than Roger Waters. Yeah, way better.

Speaker 10 (01:00:18):
Aside, heard rumors that, like or claims by him that
some of the bass parts that he got ringoed, like
some of the bass parts or Paul McCartney. I mean,
some of the bass parts were not him. It was
just David Gilmour playing bass on the stuff.

Speaker 4 (01:00:33):
That's what I heard.

Speaker 8 (01:00:34):
I had definitely heard that he on some of his songs,
like David gilmore was He's playing the bass and stuff too.

Speaker 10 (01:00:40):
Yeah, And Roger Waters would joke about it when he
people would talk about the bass playing on those songs
and like so it's it's uh but.

Speaker 4 (01:00:48):
Yeah, I thought I thought that was great. Yeah. Yeah.

Speaker 8 (01:00:51):
I I kept flashing to Van Morrison for some reason
because I was just like, man.

Speaker 4 (01:00:56):
Yeah, that that rock part of the beginning, that riff.

Speaker 8 (01:00:59):
Well, I mean yeah that, but also kind of just
the sound of the record. I was just like, man,
you can never get this ship. Man, you know what
I'm saying, like, cause this ship sounds so good compared
to Van's garage records that he's been.

Speaker 4 (01:01:12):
I'm just like, man, karaoke track, rock funk.

Speaker 8 (01:01:15):
Yeah, Like it just sounds like you know, it just
sounds like it's done well.

Speaker 4 (01:01:20):
You know.

Speaker 8 (01:01:20):
I just really was paying attention to that and the
sounds all the sounds like it doesn't sound formulaic, even
the chord changes, they didn't go to like the obvious place.
I kind of like that, Like I was like, yeah,
and the drums were interesting. It didn't sound like a
home recording. It sounded like good. It sounded really good.
So his voice sounds exactly the same. Yeah, you know,

(01:01:44):
this is not gonna be my go to or anything,
but I think it slaps, it's in the tempo, it's
and it's it's cool.

Speaker 4 (01:01:49):
I like it.

Speaker 1 (01:01:51):
I like the middle part where it really did sound like, Okay,
here's like that Floyd, here's that Floyd chords, those Floyd chords.

Speaker 4 (01:02:00):
The Dracula singing. You know that's not for me? Uh
but no, no, I can't.

Speaker 1 (01:02:06):
I can't let this lap, even though I think he
sounds fine, definitely better than some.

Speaker 4 (01:02:10):
Of the other ship we heard. Yeah, I mean, I'm
not all Dracula. It's not.

Speaker 1 (01:02:17):
I like me some Dracula music. Hey man, that's fine,
it's hilarious.

Speaker 4 (01:02:22):
So let's do something that I don't know what it is.

Speaker 8 (01:02:28):
Okay, I might know what it is either, because I
definitely added some people that I just wasn't, you know.

Speaker 4 (01:02:33):
Like i'd like, I have no idea what this sounds like? Pop?

Speaker 6 (01:02:38):
Evil?

Speaker 4 (01:02:40):
Yeah, okay, yes, some harder rock stuff. Okay, well the
new newer band? Right, h Who do we first listen to?

Speaker 16 (01:02:53):
Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:02:53):
Who listened to? First? We listened to The Smile? The
Smile that Okay, what remains his name? This song?

Speaker 10 (01:03:03):
Sorry, I'm okay, what's the name of the song? Is
what remains?

Speaker 6 (01:03:08):
By? Uh?

Speaker 4 (01:03:11):
Yeah, pop evil, here we go.

Speaker 6 (01:03:15):
I'm the face of all the ships.

Speaker 4 (01:03:17):
That of love Industrial.

Speaker 2 (01:03:19):
I'm the croup that paid the ultimate costs trying to
handle all these thoughts.

Speaker 6 (01:03:25):
In my head. I'm the face of all the.

Speaker 4 (01:03:29):
Ships that of lost, Max stabbings, name shed skin, spitting
the venom again, posing for the.

Speaker 9 (01:03:44):
Last night, now walking.

Speaker 4 (01:03:53):
Well, new battle, never a new battle. Yet it's just good.

Speaker 13 (01:04:01):
It just it's the meatal Yeah, it's the little yeah
about you, well about you years to the auditive listen,
spaces flies increasingly waking out around the change, and I'm
trying to escape the pains going.

Speaker 6 (01:04:20):
Up its eyes.

Speaker 4 (01:04:38):
Please don't be kids.

Speaker 20 (01:04:40):
Way okay, okay, you're just don't only saying mentay, don't try.

Speaker 2 (01:04:47):
And judge him.

Speaker 20 (01:04:48):
She just sends the way, no such things, sakay.

Speaker 6 (01:04:56):
About you?

Speaker 15 (01:04:58):
About you? Wow?

Speaker 4 (01:05:18):
All right, and you can catch these guys at the
Canal clubs.

Speaker 21 (01:05:24):
Man, no thanks, bro, What the hell is this so
fucking lame? It's like it's like some Instagram metal and
you see like some like cheesy low cow dude like
lip syncing to it or something.

Speaker 4 (01:05:40):
Man, it is so dumb.

Speaker 8 (01:05:43):
The picture of the dudes and the band look exactly
how you think they would look. They look like horn
with jobs. It's like they fucking look at Oh my god,
pull this up here.

Speaker 4 (01:05:54):
Look at these dudes corn with the job.

Speaker 10 (01:05:58):
Oh man, look at these guys they put up on
the screen. Yeah, look at those those dildos.

Speaker 4 (01:06:06):
Uh they guy has kicked off.

Speaker 1 (01:06:09):
They got us kicked off the ship too hot pop evil,
goddamn poppy guys kicked off sucks.

Speaker 10 (01:06:16):
Yeah, dude, those guys are trash. Yeah, totally what y'all think.

Speaker 4 (01:06:24):
Oh it was that these laps are not.

Speaker 1 (01:06:30):
Thumbs down, bro. Yeah, I mean all of the sounds
were fine. You know, it sounded like, yeah, it sounded
like computer metal. But yeah, this is not this is
not for me.

Speaker 4 (01:06:42):
This is not.

Speaker 6 (01:06:46):
Over there.

Speaker 4 (01:06:50):
Butterfingers over there. But yeah, that was uh fatiguing for
me personally. No, thank you. Yeah, like prayers. Man, I'm
sure they're.

Speaker 6 (01:07:06):
Doing just fine.

Speaker 4 (01:07:07):
So we did four.

Speaker 10 (01:07:09):
You want be one more since I felt like one
of those was like a fake one. Sure you know
what I mean, Like it was like a goof with
the V one. Yeah, man, that was like I think
he did me wrong.

Speaker 4 (01:07:20):
Yeah, there's so many over there, so I'll go with
another one that is uh. I don't know anything about uh.
Saint John. We've listened to him before, R and B.

Speaker 10 (01:07:33):
No, great, well, I've committed to Saint John. So okay,
I pull up the R for this joint Saint John.

Speaker 22 (01:07:42):
Circle circles, circles, Yeah, okay, okay, circles by Saint John.

Speaker 2 (01:08:00):
I've been running in circles. I mean running in circle soil.
I met running in shock, running in sack for you,
I've been running in circles. I mean running in circle soil.
I'm running in circles.

Speaker 4 (01:08:20):
Do you think he came in asking for this?

Speaker 21 (01:08:22):
Seen it swam to the sun past.

Speaker 4 (01:08:27):
I'm trying to get off it for you. I ain't
really trying to hurt you, but.

Speaker 2 (01:08:33):
The wall's gotta broadbands.

Speaker 3 (01:08:36):
I've been running in circles. I don't really trying to
hurt MYSELFE.

Speaker 15 (01:08:43):
What am I going to do? I'm next to you
home fe insbo home crush, get up and running back
to you.

Speaker 6 (01:09:01):
I see.

Speaker 2 (01:09:04):
I'm then running in circles and I'm running inside.

Speaker 6 (01:09:19):
I'm just like her name.

Speaker 20 (01:09:22):
Yeah, circle tail mother, running in circles, little running in circles.

Speaker 4 (01:09:29):
So you got hething else that doesn't.

Speaker 3 (01:09:31):
Say this book in DVND, lifespan and DBDs. What their circles.

Speaker 6 (01:09:51):
Right, circles?

Speaker 3 (01:09:52):
Yeah, I'm broking tos.

Speaker 4 (01:09:54):
Naming circular stuff impossible. It's close.

Speaker 7 (01:10:00):
I'm supposed to be.

Speaker 15 (01:10:07):
The babe, all right.

Speaker 4 (01:10:20):
I don't know what you gotta dispect like that?

Speaker 21 (01:10:24):
Like that?

Speaker 6 (01:10:25):
That what you say it like that?

Speaker 4 (01:10:28):
Man? I mean, this is probably gonna go off, obviously,
I don't think it is. I don't think it is.
You don't think so, Nah, I don't know. I feel
like it this formula. Let me let met you. I
don't know that's your opinion, prayer, yes, yes, what do
you want to say? Man?

Speaker 1 (01:10:47):
No?

Speaker 8 (01:10:47):
I mean I feel like that this sound right now
is popping off, like the adding guitar back into like
R and b Ish style tracks, but they're like more
or anthemic, you know that vibe. So I feel like
he's kind of jumping on the way. I mean, I

(01:11:08):
don't know if his music was like this before or not,
but I feel like he's jumping on that bandwagon a
little bit, which is fine.

Speaker 4 (01:11:15):
I feel like he could have done more.

Speaker 8 (01:11:18):
I would have liked maybe a more almost realer drum
feeling than this like eight aweight thing because I felt
like it detracted from it, and I wish he had
done more lyrically.

Speaker 4 (01:11:30):
You know, man, you didn't say anything.

Speaker 8 (01:11:33):
I mean, I just wish he would have done a
little bit more there because he has a cool theme.
You know, Man, this is hard. This is a tough one.

Speaker 6 (01:11:43):
Uh.

Speaker 4 (01:11:46):
All you're thinking, say, let's slot that in there. Go ahead.
Oh you're really baling. I don't know yet.

Speaker 6 (01:12:00):
I'm not bailing. I don't know yet.

Speaker 4 (01:12:01):
I just don't know. Man.

Speaker 1 (01:12:03):
It actually kind of started off like it was gonna
be all right, and then as like the longer it
went on, the more it was like, oh that's it.

Speaker 4 (01:12:10):
Yeah, all you guess all. I'm a getting circles seeing circles.

Speaker 8 (01:12:15):
Literally, I'm a circle because circles, circles, circle circle.

Speaker 6 (01:12:20):
I can't.

Speaker 1 (01:12:20):
I can't let it slap. No, I wasn't mad at
the drums or nothing like that. I wouldn't mad in
the drums.

Speaker 4 (01:12:26):
No, circle, man here was totally responsor was fine.

Speaker 6 (01:12:31):
Didn't like.

Speaker 4 (01:12:33):
Man, Oh yeah you know what, no mad it likes you.
I didn't say. I didn't go ahead, Kelly, you don't
like it either, right, Yeah, I can't let it slap either.

Speaker 6 (01:12:45):
I can't.

Speaker 4 (01:12:46):
Yeah, fucking suck.

Speaker 6 (01:12:50):
It doesn't suck.

Speaker 4 (01:12:51):
I think this guy's banned from slash. You didn't even
remember him. Yeah, I feel like there's been a long
time since we had letting crowd.

Speaker 1 (01:13:00):
It should be banned. I've also had enough of Len.
Lenny is my man too, But you know he wasn't
even really today. That was yeah, you picked him though
on me. Yeah, we got we got tricked for me.

Speaker 4 (01:13:12):
I put it on, put it on the thing.

Speaker 8 (01:13:14):
But I mean I did not think you were gonna
pick it because you're just whatever.

Speaker 4 (01:13:18):
I saw quaver on there, I was like, this could
be all right. No it's not. It's a lot nothing.
It's freedom of sucking garbage. Yeah, look, you're right man.
I mean he's Lenny Kravitz. That's the way you put
the name on there. That wave will bet was made
in literally about Timmy. I could have made that, you
could word, I could have made that way. That's a

(01:13:39):
science it's not even a science project for real. It
was like, yo, you go do this and be like
I feel like I feel like you can get logic
to kind of make it for you. Almost. Yeah, yeah,
change drums out. That ship was a I for real
like that. That song was made in so fast seconds,
so easy. Cool. Thanks everybody, yeah yeah, we out and
