Speaker 3 (02:50):
Dollars.
Speaker 6 (02:50):
One time and it redid and I just remembered I
need to undo that.
Speaker 2 (02:56):
I can't remember where.
Speaker 3 (02:58):
Yeah, yep, that's how I signed up for Uber one.
Speaker 5 (03:03):
Like he was like, wait, did I did I something?
It just it's just really confusing. It just pops up, like,
don't you don't you want some savings, bro? I was like,
I guess I do want to ship works.
Speaker 3 (03:12):
I saved like ten bucks off of the order or whatever.
And then one day it was like, you know, thank
you for being Uber one. I'm like, god, damn it.
And then it's and then I'm like, I try to
cancel the subscription and it, uh it's like contact support.
I'm like, bro, you he ain't nobody at Uber No, dude,
there's nobody.
Speaker 2 (03:33):
To the system. You see.
Speaker 5 (03:34):
The FCC uh did pass the new law about that
starting next year, called the one click Law, in which
you have to make it as easy to unsubscribe from
something as it is to subscribe it.
Speaker 2 (03:45):
That was just like a couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 5 (03:47):
So like the companies can't just straight up scam you
by Like I just can't figure out how to turn.
Speaker 2 (03:52):
This ship.
Speaker 6 (03:54):
Unsubscribe it. Hate you somewhere. I have to do some
other ship, man. I tried to.
Speaker 5 (03:58):
I gotta a charge I saw for like Shutter or something,
and I was like, shut, I remember like doing this
or Stars That's what it was.
Speaker 2 (04:06):
Stars. I was like, I don't have a Stars account.
What is this? Why am I being charge? Turns out I.
Speaker 5 (04:11):
Watched a movie or something on Amazon and it was like, oh, yeah,
you can watch it for free through Stars.
Speaker 2 (04:18):
So clicking that sign me up for a trial of Stars.
I guess.
Speaker 5 (04:23):
I'm like, okay, that's kind of weird, but fine. So
I go onto the Amazon app on the phone to
try to unsubscribe, and went to it and like pulled
up my subscriptions, like oh yeah, here's your subscriptions Stars,
Danking and Ink or like great, click it, and it's
like you cannot unsubscribe from.
Speaker 2 (04:39):
The iOS app. You have to go to desktop. Yeah.
Speaker 5 (04:42):
I was like, what the fuck you? I've never even
used Amazon on the desktop before. Yeah, in my whole life.
It's a scam. That's how get I hope you don't forget.
You know, I don't care.
Speaker 2 (04:53):
They are more active in that type of ship.
Speaker 6 (04:57):
Yeah, so they got it. Seems like everything with laws
is so far behind.
Speaker 2 (05:01):
That's true.
Speaker 5 (05:02):
So starting in I guess April or March or whenever
that starts, but at least something that's happened, Like the people.
Speaker 6 (05:09):
Making the laws are of the age of all the
people getting ripped off and tricked by stuff like that.
Speaker 5 (05:14):
Anyway, that's what slowly changes. Yeah, one law at a time. Yeah,
but hey man, we should make this illegal.
Speaker 2 (05:20):
It's not right.
Speaker 3 (05:21):
This ain't that ain't right? Yeah, agreed, that's it. Uh, Okay,
real quick, let's do some plugs. Reggie go first.
Speaker 5 (05:29):

I will be heading to that after for Beer Trio.
Speaker 2 (06:46):
Appearance walk through.
Speaker 3 (06:48):
Yeah, celebrity walk through.
Speaker 2 (06:52):
I'm finna come to that. You come there to make
a celebrity walk through? Oh we got to Oh sat there.
Speaker 5 (06:58):
We gotta take a video of us all like walking
to the door in slow moo, just like a little
vel facts.
Speaker 3 (07:03):
I'm waiting to have been waiting to do that. But
that's I'm gonna be coming to that from our Dwali
event that's gonna be at Lewis Ginter on Saturday. That
starts early in the day. We're having a you know,
a bunch of different music and a lot of little
a lot of special things for everybody. It's gonna be
a really cool event. Make sure everybody comes out to that.
(07:23):
And I'm also playing with Pre Beer Trio in Charlottesville
at super Fly Brewing on Thursday, October twenty fourth. If
you're not listening, busy so that won't be you won't
have to worry about that date. But the twenty fifth,
I will also be with Pre Beer and Alexandria at
Atlas Brewworks. That's gonna be dope with a bunch of
(07:45):
other friends on that show as well. So guys come
through tonight if you will, October twenty fifth, and then yeah,
I'm coming through to the Not Idea gig for sure
because that's gonna be fun. Yeah you got anything?
Speaker 6 (08:00):
Yes, Friday tonight Rumble Trio? Is that common House?
Speaker 2 (08:05):
Oh?
Speaker 7 (08:06):
Yeah?
Speaker 3 (08:06):
Common Nice?
Speaker 2 (08:08):
Then you start like nine or something or helly thirty nine.
Speaker 6 (08:12):
I think nine is when we are a little before
nine maybe anyway, come on out there. We played out
till midnight, I think, uh yeah, then uh let's see
what Oh and I have I have some more eight
pedals left. I think I have about like eight let's
just say eight that haven't been sold.
Speaker 2 (08:34):
So that's James's pedal.
Speaker 6 (08:35):
Yeah, so once those are sold, then there probably won't
be any more until I make it smaller and can
make more of them, but that would probably be like
spring maybe or summer dish. So and also from here
on out, they're not going to be like completely hand soldered.
Speaker 2 (08:55):
They're gonna be mostly as.
Speaker 3 (08:57):
We do this real quick, Can we do that?
Speaker 2 (09:00):
Yeah, you can do that.
Speaker 3 (09:01):
Yeah, don't take it out though, No, No, I'm not to
take it out like wrap I it was naked, you
know what I'm saying.
Speaker 2 (09:06):
But it's got like Past's manual in there.
Speaker 3 (09:09):
But but honestly, that would be probably a really cool
opportunity for you to put your logo up right here.
Speaker 5 (09:14):
Boom in the post editing grab nice stocking stuffer.
Speaker 6 (09:18):
Yeah for real, though, hit me up, you guys, like,
I'm not making any more of these until, like I
can you know, get robots to make them.
Speaker 2 (09:27):
Huh what kind of pedal is it again?
Speaker 6 (09:28):
Okay, so it's a I US you could say it's
a distortion pedal. This is most simply put. But it's uh,
it's a modified version of the Harmonic percolator, which was
made popular by Steve Albini as well as some other
you know, uh engineers, and kind of not that many
people used it. It was like from the late seventies,
(09:50):
super rare, very unique sounding distortion, and so I made
that also. The next one I'm doing is a re
release of the Olay Fuzz that did pretty well, but
I'm shrinking it down to like two thirds of the
size it was, and it's gonna be less expensive because
(10:12):
most of it is going to put together like automated
manufacturing CNC machines and all that stuff, just solder dips
all it or whatever.
Speaker 2 (10:20):
You know.
Speaker 6 (10:21):
Yeah, but I got to do all this stuff myself,
so it takes a little bit of time, but that
the ola is basically laid out and designed for that form.
Speaker 2 (10:31):
I just probably I won't have enough time to like.
Speaker 6 (10:34):
November, to start doing the actual prototyping like physical.
Speaker 2 (10:41):
Prototypes of them.
Speaker 6 (10:42):
But then after that so hopefully I'm shoot like end
of the winter maybe to have it.
Speaker 2 (10:46):
But we'll see. I haven't, like I haven't done all
the breakdowns of.
Speaker 6 (10:50):
Like how many I'm gonna need to do whatever price
point or but just already the fact that I mean
I'm like reducing the labor by like seventy percent sick.
Speaker 2 (11:00):
It's really cool and it'll be way more consistent.
Speaker 6 (11:03):
Like they test the circuits before they leave the factory,
so like you know they turn on you know at
least yeah, or they're functioning pretty.
Speaker 2 (11:12):
Much up with one man.
Speaker 5 (11:13):
Because I'm about ready to make a horn rig I
think sort of my idea and some other ship come
on now some funds.
Speaker 6 (11:19):
Yeah, so the next one, the next fuzz is gonna
be pretty cool. That's the one that does really well.
Speaker 2 (11:22):
Of a base.
Speaker 4 (11:24):
Uh.
Speaker 6 (11:24):
And then yeah, then after the LA they'll be the
New School Harmonic Percolator clone the the Ache, and then
after that.
Speaker 2 (11:32):
I don't know what I'm doing. I got a couple
of ideas, shackle, Yeah, but I'm I'm excited about it.
They're gonna be great. So keep a look out, be
on the lookout.
Speaker 3 (11:42):
Uh, let's get into music news. Chrissy Hyde from The
Pretender says, we want to see different people in our
audience every night, so we're gonna start kicking people out
of the front rows. Uh, don't be offended.
Speaker 5 (12:03):
How are you gonna kick them out? Say I'm not
allowed to buy tickets? Then in the same spot twice.
Speaker 2 (12:08):
In a row.
Speaker 3 (12:09):
She says, the whole reason they go on tour is
that the band is playing to a different audience every night.
That's why we go on tour. We appreciate those of
you who follow us and buy tickets for multiple nights,
So don't be offended. If we were crest, we were
cust to move you out of the front row. Uh
and switch out some other people. She's what she's saying interesting.
(12:32):
She also complained about being stopped for autographs while a
while on the road. She says, uh, you know, yeah,
it's a good scam that it's people are just trying
to sell stuff and things nature. I do agree with that.
Speaker 6 (12:47):
Yeah, it's a real old school set of complaints.
Speaker 2 (12:52):
Honestly started switching the people out.
Speaker 5 (12:53):
Switching people on the front row is an interesting idea,
especially as a legacy act. The idea that like they're
supposed to be somebody else that would be there other
than someone who was willing to buy two tickets.
Speaker 2 (13:04):
I'm having trouble. Yeah, I've heard of people doing this though.
Speaker 6 (13:08):
Yeah, I'm having trouble trying to see what prompted that
kind of That's what I'm thinking, Like what somebody somebody
was a problem or or what who.
Speaker 2 (13:19):
Got in her ear earlier to convince her what?
Speaker 6 (13:22):
Oh know, what led up to that being something that
had to even be mentioned.
Speaker 2 (13:25):
I would bet you anything.
Speaker 5 (13:27):
Somebody is a problem, somebody has been going to show
after show after her stuff. Yeah, and somebody is somebody
isn't a problem, and they try not to blow it up,
you know what I mean, Like, Hey, don't be offended
if a couple of y'all out of the people that
creep her out.
Speaker 2 (13:42):
Yeah, that's what I'm thinking.
Speaker 3 (13:43):
That could be true.
Speaker 2 (13:44):
That could definitely because that could be a workaround for creeps.
Speaker 5 (13:46):
That's I think that's a pretty normal kind of workaround.
I've never heard it said this way, like I don't know, speculating. Yeah,
but she don't take no ship though, you know, so
like I can see any number of that ship if
you know.
Speaker 6 (14:00):
If it is because of something like creep avoidance or
stockery risk stuff, I don't have any problem with it.
Speaker 2 (14:07):
Yeah, But if it's just if it's just some.
Speaker 6 (14:10):
Weird like I don't want to see, like I like
to be a fan is not good enough.
Speaker 2 (14:15):
If it's like that, then fuck her.
Speaker 3 (14:17):
That's that's just raird weird.
Speaker 2 (14:20):
Oh No, I can't.
Speaker 6 (14:21):
Really cash judgment.
Speaker 2 (14:22):
On this, but I don't either.
Speaker 6 (14:24):
I don't know, Like all this stuff you told me
could be you could go either way, be like, yeah,
I feel like you fucked up that people would take
your your autographs and sell them for a bunch of money.
Speaker 2 (14:34):
They're not even fans. That's just bullshit. Yeah, everybody knows
that's just bullshit.
Speaker 5 (14:37):
But I just feel like for it to be a
press release, that's my guess.
Speaker 2 (14:41):
Is something happened, Yes, right.
Speaker 6 (14:43):
Otherwise, why it's just a Twitter post.
Speaker 5 (14:46):
Yeah, our shows are so popular that I need to
start shuffling the audience around.
Speaker 2 (14:51):
Let's put a pin in this, yere check it out.
What happens?
Speaker 6 (14:55):
We should we should look up on Reddit and see
if any hardcore pretenders fans or anything like that have
a subgroup where they just talk about, you know, concert
goings on.
Speaker 3 (15:05):
Yeah, that's a good idea. I definitely could tell you know, Kelly,
I definitely I will. I will.
Speaker 2 (15:11):
Kelly is the founder and intern of the show.
Speaker 3 (15:15):
Uh, I like to take notes, he does. Okay, Alex
van Halen a brand new book. He's back out on
the on the doing a little press run.
Speaker 2 (15:26):
It's how many books?
Speaker 3 (15:28):
No, no, no, no, no, Alex van Halen, the drummer.
Speaker 6 (15:32):
Oh, the drummer. Okay, drummer for this is his book.
They're all the same to you.
Speaker 2 (15:35):
Huh No.
Speaker 5 (15:36):
Yeah, I just think that, like, there's just so many
books written about van Halen. You're saying this is he
wrote this book. Yeah, I'm just tired of book about
man Halen. Honestly, I mean, I guess there are a
lot of books, too many. I think there's this They.
Speaker 3 (15:48):
Literally have one book that's like based on one year
of Van Halen. I'm like, I don't need to hear
another interpretation of what happened in nineteen eighty four. We
all know, like that's the big you know, it's the
biggest song, biggest album of all time.
Speaker 6 (16:02):
Let me tell you about eruption. That's how the book
starts bro over and over again. I want to be
called eruptions. But yes, this is called eruptions. What is
what's his angle though, is this is just hey man,
I want to just I want to Yeah, I.
Speaker 3 (16:18):
Just want to talk about well, no, it's funny because
he want to trash people and his book, his book
is it goes to nineteen eighty five. He does not
talk about the same Hagar years, and he's and he's
more like, right now he hates he seems to hate
this cat because Sammy's book was brutal, brutal on the
(16:41):
on the Van Halens. He I mean he let everything out.
Speaker 2 (16:44):
So al didn't mention the Hagar era.
Speaker 3 (16:49):
He says the best years were the classes classic ones.
I mean, I mean you kind of have to agree
in a way.
Speaker 6 (16:56):
I agree, but still like you have to I mean,
we could all agree in the stories we heard from
Hagar and then from Michael Anthony. Yeah, like it's this
is fucked up weird shit man. Yeah, just to heard
him all, I guess maybe he could have like let
me tell you about what I saw and be.
Speaker 2 (17:18):
The same shit.
Speaker 3 (17:19):
Yeah, I mean he is.
Speaker 5 (17:21):
Uh, it's like these guys just didn't have Twitter, you
know what I mean. They're just like getting at each other.
I mean, this is books.
Speaker 3 (17:27):
Though Aleixane Halen is honestly made for Twitter. He should
be on there. It would be fire.
Speaker 2 (17:33):
I think it'd be fine if he's not. Yeah, totally
better if it's not. But this is Twitter behavior.
Speaker 3 (17:40):
A lot of his stuff is Twitter behavior. But yeah,
he only talks to nineteen eighty four eighty five, And yeah,
it's a very it's very interesting he did. He did
a pretty good interview in Rolling Stone and talked about
David E. Roth a lot and said that the tribute
was all fell apart, not just because of davidly Roth,
(18:02):
but because because he had a lot of back issues
and he's had he's had like a ton of operations
over the years.
Speaker 5 (18:08):
That's just from people start getting surgeries on your back. Man,
you don't know what's about to happen. In fact, like
no one can help you. They just be like, you're
my back hurt. They'd be like, well, I guess we
go take a look at it.
Speaker 3 (18:19):
I mean, he's had mad issues for years. He's you know,
he's also like you know, he's like a skier and
you know, shit like that. You know, but uh yeah,
that book just came out.
Speaker 2 (18:29):
He's hunched over too much. Drummers out there.
Speaker 3 (18:31):
I have to say that stopping at eighty four eighty
five is complete trash. I mean, I think that no
people want to hear about all the other stuff.
Speaker 6 (18:41):
There's a drama, yeah, I mean because after saying that's
all these are.
Speaker 3 (18:46):
After eighty six, you know, they were not on the
same level. They were still making they were still selling
a ton of records Van Halen, but I mean it
ain't the same and it pretty much went downhill from there.
That's what people want to hear.
Speaker 2 (19:00):
That's true.
Speaker 3 (19:01):
Fall apart that reunion tour with Sammy Hagar, where Eddie
would start one song, the band would start another like
and Samy's like.
Speaker 6 (19:10):
Falling apart, not knowing who to sing to is falling
apart on stage.
Speaker 3 (19:14):
And sam and Hagar tried to do a tour with
David ly Roth and that was like terrible. That was
really so like they've had like just a bunch of
like failures, you know what I'm saying. So some of
that shit should be in the book. Yeah whatever. He's
back out here though, so and he says that he
might he might go back out there and play again
(19:35):
or whatever.
Speaker 2 (19:35):
Don't do it, don't do it. Just got out of surgery, retire, retired.
Speaker 3 (19:41):
I think he said, he said, give it five years.
Speaker 2 (19:43):
Okay, five years, all right, five years. We're checking in
five years, check in.
Speaker 5 (19:50):
Another book. All right, let me talk about nineteen eighty five.
All right, I'm gonna talk about nineteen eighty six.
Speaker 3 (19:57):
Ye uh, speaking of eighty five eighty six.
Speaker 2 (20:02):
Dave Roth put a book out probably next year.
Speaker 3 (20:05):
He put out a book a few years ago.
Speaker 2 (20:06):
You can put another one out daily Roth. It'd be great.
Speaker 6 (20:09):
A wealth of content like which nobody pays Attention's going
crazy on the albums he's been, he's written books.
Speaker 2 (20:16):
He uh.
Speaker 6 (20:18):
He used to be on the radio and podcasts every
once in a while.
Speaker 2 (20:22):
Doing like meditation talk throughs. Uh.
Speaker 6 (20:24):
He does the martial arts thing. But it's more like
dance martial arts.
Speaker 2 (20:28):
If he actually I saw one.
Speaker 6 (20:29):
It was just like his head and just like a
bunch of like videos are great. Yeah, and it's just
like this ship like your mind.
Speaker 3 (20:35):
Bro sh it has literally beat poetry because it's just
it goes. Yeah, it goes all over the place. It's
just that's just how it is. I mean, his references
do not update. I mean they've gotten a little bit better,
but he still references eighties type shit.
Speaker 2 (20:53):
You know, the eighties.
Speaker 3 (20:55):
Speaking of Gene Simmons says, oh God, say his name
a jazz player. That means something, Gene Simmons.
Speaker 2 (21:03):
He asked Gene Simmons from from a kiss? Yeah, did
he ask the question?
Speaker 3 (21:07):
He was asked that he was. He was, I guess
asked a question about Uh, I guess about virtuosity or
something like that.
Speaker 6 (21:15):
I don't give a about this Gene Simmons has to say.
Speaker 2 (21:18):
And he Gene Simmons can't play.
Speaker 6 (21:21):
I want to know what he said. Now, what's that's
the drama?
Speaker 3 (21:25):
What's it doesn't it doesn't vert. Yeah, he does not
value virtuosity. Say that gives him no show him?
Speaker 6 (21:35):
Uh gets hione out that he doesn't like I play the.
Speaker 3 (21:40):
Song, and so he says, you can be a jazz
player and be respected by musicians, but the rest of
the world doesn't care. He says, we're going to play
a game. Name a jazz player that means something. And
he says, how about John McLaughlin, Like he's a great player.
Here's a question, can you hum any melody that he's
ever played on a solo? Yes, of course not what
(22:01):
with all due respect for that. Music is intended to
show off how well you can play. But I don't
care about that.
Speaker 6 (22:07):
You know, the hardest thing people are humming Jane Simmons
base lines.
Speaker 5 (22:11):
Yeah, you think people are singing along to Like when
they hear rock and Roll all Night, they're going.
Speaker 2 (22:18):
Garbage. No, now you're talking about the melodies, but you're talking.
Speaker 3 (22:22):
About the melodies.
Speaker 2 (22:26):
Like what's there?
Speaker 3 (22:26):
What's that? Will be the only one that's the.
Speaker 2 (22:29):
That's the part they're singing though they ain't the music part.
It ain't the riff. Well, everybody, King Dan.
Speaker 3 (22:37):
He does have a melodic bassline on Rock and Roll
All Night, but it's but it's I mean, it's just
literally following the guitar. It's not you know, it's not
like fucking elementary school.
Speaker 6 (22:47):
You know what I'm saying, it's not yet, Jean Simmons, please, Man's.
Speaker 2 (22:51):
Like, it's crazy.
Speaker 6 (22:52):
You're also if he can't hum any part of a
John McLoughlin solo, which is very doable. First of all,
went straight to John mcglock. He went something about jazz.
Speaker 2 (23:03):
Yes, he could have just said yes, like plays like rock.
Speaker 3 (23:09):
Were you prepared for this?
Speaker 2 (23:10):
Yeah?
Speaker 6 (23:11):
He was like, why are you talking about John mclockley,
But also him saying like, like Miles Davis, you can't
sing any of.
Speaker 5 (23:20):
Every kid in music, half of every music school in
America singing.
Speaker 3 (23:25):
Most hummable ship of all time. Yeah, that he that
he's actually played.
Speaker 6 (23:30):
I mean, come on, bro, man, come on man, I
swear man, he's the tea bird of music.
Speaker 2 (23:36):
Oh my god, I've said that so many times, dude.
Speaker 6 (23:39):
One of the fucking most annoying things I've ever seen
was a couple of the episodes where he was on
the Apprentice.
Speaker 2 (23:46):
And it was just like the two of them just
like out trying to out do each other. Maybe I
don't know, Oh it's very good. You have the busts.
Speaker 6 (23:55):
Oh yeah, it was crazy. And then Geene Simmons like resigns.
So that's some like chicken win or something like that.
Like it was just weird man, that was gonna lose anyway.
Speaker 5 (24:10):
It was like that video in which they like do
the big reveal without the makeup on. Man, that ship
is funny as hell, ugly as hell in this video,
the music video walking up the Street, and there was
that was grown up kids.
Speaker 3 (24:24):
Oh that that's the licking up video. But no they dude, No.
I saw an article about that today where they had
a picture of them from MTV when they revealed their faces.
Speaker 5 (24:34):
I'm like, yo, gen, I mean they put that makeup
back on. Yeah, but no, I'm sorry.
Speaker 3 (24:39):
Paul Stanley brought he was the man. He thought he
was five.
Speaker 6 (24:44):
Yeah, he thought he was the man. He was like,
I want to take his makeup off because I look good.
Speaker 2 (24:47):
Yeah, he's ridiculous.
Speaker 5 (24:51):
Compared if you're looking at Gene Simmons all day, you
might you might think that might think he was that
good rough man.
Speaker 3 (24:57):
It's it's they all do. I mean, was just questionable, man,
It was that was a I think could have I
don't know.
Speaker 6 (25:04):
Man Ace was out of the band by then too, right,
Yeah that was Vinnie Vincent. Yeah, that was another whole nother,
whole nother weird holding the vibe.
Speaker 3 (25:12):
But yeah, yeah, Vinny, what's a better guitar player? And
maybe uh maybe Eric Carr. I guess he never two
handed tapping.
Speaker 2 (25:19):
He didn't do that. He didn't teach used even healing.
Speaker 3 (25:23):
Uh did you guys hear about this ship this Garth
Brooks stuff?
Speaker 6 (25:28):
Huh?
Speaker 2 (25:28):
I didn't hear he at that? Raven? What is that?
What happened allegedly? Oh? Ship?
Speaker 6 (25:34):
I thought you was and not Chris Gaines. It's like,
I know Brooks was the one that did it.
Speaker 3 (25:38):
The one time.
Speaker 6 (25:41):
Nice Uh, back away from my microphone. He all done
laughing about whatever you're talking about.
Speaker 2 (25:47):
That was what happened. Chris Gaines, that's his Uh, I
know Chris Gaines is I'm talking about?
Speaker 3 (25:51):
What is the story? Okay? So yeah, there was a
anonymous accuser of grape uh with with Garth Brooks, and
he then like kind of out in real life in
real life, and then he like outed her and like
put his name, put her name out there because he
was going to counter to her.
Speaker 6 (26:10):
This is a couple of days ago. This happened like a.
Speaker 3 (26:12):
Couple of weeks ago.
Speaker 2 (26:14):
We can't do that.
Speaker 3 (26:15):
Yeah, yeah, well so that's illegal. I think the weirdest
thing is is that like Tom Segura for years has
been like saying, I mean making jokes.
Speaker 2 (26:27):
It was a joke, but he happened to be right
about it.
Speaker 3 (26:29):
He's been saying for for real that Garth Brooks just
comes off super creepy all the time. Him and his
wife like would talk about on their podcast, to the
point that.
Speaker 2 (26:40):
Like, uh, Tom fan like where are the bodies?
Speaker 3 (26:43):
They would comment on Garth Brooks posts, like with all
the little quotes and ship that they would say on
the show, like they I mean Bombardo Yeah yeah, yeah,
to the point where Garth Brooks started they started erasing
those comments off of his ship and everything and looking
out for him, like he's got like bots that look
(27:04):
out for the weird Anthony style. Yeah yeah yeah. So
so anyways, I mean, so they they've been saying all
kinds of crazy ship about Garth Brooks on the podcast
and you know, on and off. So this ship happening,
how it did? I was like, is this it? Like,
is this because they've they've been saying some wild ship
(27:26):
about Garth Brooks. Damn, Like they're saying like missing kids
were like part with concerts that he was he was
in town.
Speaker 6 (27:34):
It was a lot of the news though too, so
the news thing, So what is.
Speaker 2 (27:39):
What is the news?
Speaker 3 (27:40):
So the news is that Garth Brooks is being accused.
Speaker 6 (27:42):
Okay, he is being in real life, in real life Okay, great, Yeah,
by by a woman that was a hair stylist that
worked with him for a few until now, Like we've
never heard him though, I've never heard of him being
associated with any type of activity like that means no
out of nowhere, Okay, no, but when he has a
(28:03):
reputation of a stand up reputation in real life.
Speaker 2 (28:05):
Not really really cocombination, but it's just there's nothing clean
he's been.
Speaker 3 (28:10):
He's been kind of like shelled. He's kind of sheltered
himself from like what the real music industry is for
a long time. Like he didn't put his music on
streaming for years. He only had like his own like
website and like subscription service type shit like for a
long time. Wow, Like I don't think he added his
ship until like like a few years ago. You know,
(28:31):
like he was like he's he's made so much money
on his.
Speaker 2 (28:34):
Own sprit from everything.
Speaker 3 (28:36):
Yeah, he has been more isolated. But then he got
on Facebook and he put this like super creepy video
of him getting on Facebook for the first time and
talking to.
Speaker 2 (28:45):
His fans, and shit, what was creepy about it?
Speaker 3 (28:47):
He was just like, he was like, hey, my friend
told me that should get on Facebook, and you know,
they said, you know, it's just having a conversation.
Speaker 2 (28:57):
With your friends. He sounds like you're doing a bon air, and.
Speaker 3 (29:01):
So he sounds like a Hoistbury bonaire with a bonair.
I'm telling you, it's creepy. He's like, yeah, let's have
a conversation. Let the conversation sexophones, sex line or something.
But he's like looking right at the camera and he's
in a hotel.
Speaker 2 (29:17):
Room, so he's looking weird.
Speaker 3 (29:20):
He's been he's been bad on social media for a
long Honestly, don't know ship about Garth Brooks other than
that episode of SNL which he.
Speaker 5 (29:28):
Performed as Christ. Oh yeah, there's That's all I know.
And let's get with Will Ferrell and the guitars is funny.
Speaker 3 (29:34):
Look up Tom's the girl.
Speaker 2 (29:36):
And then he wears a headset Mike, Oh, hold on.
Speaker 3 (29:38):
Yes, he does wear he wears collarless shirt collarless shirts,
a lot.
Speaker 2 (29:43):
Of colorless button downs.
Speaker 3 (29:44):
Yes, yeah, he's been doing that for you. Yes, this
is the one right here. It's uh, it's a creepy
ass ship. Oh god, but his fans think it's great though.
Speaker 1 (29:56):
Well, I guess it's official. We're now on Facebook. I
really wasn't sure about.
Speaker 2 (30:01):
This at the start, but then a.
Speaker 1 (30:02):
Friend of mine said something that just made all kinds
of sense. She said, think of it more as a conversation.
Speaker 7 (30:09):
I like that finding out on my own. So it's
wiping the walls out between you and me, and I
really like that. It allows us into each other's worlds
or it gets in my case, hotel room.
Speaker 1 (30:23):
When I think about things I want to post, I
want to post cool stuff, but most stuff I'm gonna
post is gonna be raw stuff like this raw.
Speaker 2 (30:32):
This is raw.
Speaker 1 (30:33):
It's just who I am.
Speaker 2 (30:35):
This can't be Well, it's because it's a script and
it's weird. Beg.
Speaker 5 (30:41):
Yeah, it's weird because it's not really him talking. It's
it's a horrible scripts and he's like performing in real
weird laying down like that.
Speaker 3 (30:51):
Yeah, going no, I don't know, but it's just played again.
He's it's odd.
Speaker 2 (31:00):
That weapon from my fans. Bro like that. It is
really like that. Let's talk about it. It's official.
Speaker 1 (31:09):
We're now on Facebook.
Speaker 2 (31:11):
Make sure about this.
Speaker 1 (31:12):
At the start, but then a friend of mine said
something that.
Speaker 2 (31:15):
Just friends of mine sense.
Speaker 1 (31:17):
She said, think of it more as a conversation. I
like that finding out on my own.
Speaker 7 (31:23):
So it's wiping the walls out between you and me,
and I really like that.
Speaker 1 (31:29):
Each other's worlds.
Speaker 2 (31:30):
That gets in my case a couple of days ago.
I don't know, No, think about things I want to post.
Speaker 1 (31:37):
You want to post cool stuff, slick stuff, neat stuff.
Speaker 2 (31:43):
Stuff.
Speaker 6 (31:44):
That's the title right there, opening.
Speaker 1 (31:49):
Slicks, stuff, neat I want to think about things I
want to post.
Speaker 7 (31:53):
I want to.
Speaker 2 (31:54):
Post cool stuff, slick stuff, neat stuff.
Speaker 1 (31:57):
What I'm going to be rass stuff like this.
Speaker 2 (32:01):
We're all like this, just who I am?
Speaker 1 (32:03):
What was truly a conversation? And I say, let the conversation.
Speaker 2 (32:14):
It's so gross. Yeah, why did he decide to perform
a speech?
Speaker 3 (32:19):
I don't know.
Speaker 2 (32:20):
It was weird.
Speaker 3 (32:21):
He's uh writing down cool stuff, slick stuff, slicks.
Speaker 2 (32:27):
More about the context of this. He was introducing himself
to Facebook.
Speaker 3 (32:31):
I'm telling you he was not on social media. He
wasn't doing any of this ship. He he literally has
enough fans.
Speaker 2 (32:37):
But how long ago was that?
Speaker 3 (32:39):
Not long? Not long?
Speaker 2 (32:40):
I don't like maybe twenty fourteen. Bro, everybody was.
Speaker 3 (32:46):
On by day. I know though, in twenty fourteen. But
it's still like he's like it's like some big deal.
Speaker 2 (32:52):
He never I didn't know what Facebook was until recently
when that happened. That's what I'm telling you, been shielded
from Facebook somehow.
Speaker 3 (33:00):
And then he Yeah, he had enough fans that were
just going to his fucking website buying his ship. He
wasn't doing any of the streaming stuff. He wasn't doing
any of that.
Speaker 6 (33:08):
I mean, if all your concerts has sold out, what
else are you supposed to even do?
Speaker 2 (33:11):
I mean, you can't make them more sold out.
Speaker 3 (33:13):
I mean he he sells out like I was gonna say,
he was doing arenas and football stadiums. It still is,
you know. So uh yeah, so it's a that's interesting.
We're gonna we're gonna follow that. Uh and uh let's
see what one more thing here? This video that I
sent to I sent to James or video of bro.
Speaker 6 (33:34):
He got that many ticket sales? You don't need to
get on Facebook.
Speaker 2 (33:38):
Sant it to me again.
Speaker 3 (33:39):
What Steven Tyler one ship?
Speaker 6 (33:41):
Yeah, for some reason that is hold on, no, it's
I don't have it anymore.
Speaker 3 (33:46):
All right, Well I'll send it to you. This was
This was sent to me by a friend, and I
just I feel like that it would just be funny
just to check out, because, uh, I mean, Steven Tyler
just looks very interesting in it. I don't know what's
happening in it, but him and Lived Tyler they're talking.
This is sent to me.
Speaker 2 (34:05):
I like, pull this uf on the big screen here.
Speaker 6 (34:09):
Oh wow, he looks he's an interesting looking gentleman.
Speaker 2 (34:17):
Let's see if I can get let me restart. Just
get the video from the top.
Speaker 3 (34:27):
Times.
Speaker 8 (34:28):
Great grandfather Robert Elliott, who is your great great great grandfather.

Speaker 2 (34:40):
I knew what he was dying to be black, Thank
you God.
Speaker 7 (34:44):
Felt it black people, no way, no way, no, no
no way.
Speaker 1 (34:50):
I had no idea, but I mean I felt it
my whole life.
Speaker 2 (34:53):
Oh.
Speaker 8 (34:56):
I was in the War of eighteen twelve. Yeah, and
he was a drum.
Speaker 2 (35:05):
That's the same. Please say it again. What is this?
I knew it.
Speaker 5 (35:11):
I knew I knew I was black, saying it for years.
I've been telling people I was black. Everybody it was
hating on me. When I told him, I was like, yeah, the.
Speaker 8 (35:23):
Family tree back to my four times great grandfather Robert Elliott.
Who is your great great great grandfather, Robert Elliott was
part African American.
Speaker 2 (35:35):
I knew it.
Speaker 7 (35:39):
Thank you God, you got came to black people.
Speaker 3 (35:45):
Ah, did you know it? I had no idea, but
I mean I felt it my whole life.
Speaker 2 (35:52):
You can't wait to guess.
Speaker 4 (35:55):
You can't wait.
Speaker 2 (35:56):
I can't wait. I didn't think I would get two clips.
But the hearing of the show today, he's like, I
can't wait.
Speaker 8 (36:03):
And he was a drummer.
Speaker 5 (36:06):
He said, right there, yo, yo nigger, I knew it.
Speaker 2 (36:13):
He can't wait. I always I knew it. I felt
in my whole life.
Speaker 3 (36:19):
I felt.
Speaker 2 (36:20):
I feel it. Thank God, I felt it.
Speaker 6 (36:23):
Hell yeah, congratulations man, Steven Tyler. White people just can
get anything off you just do anything.
Speaker 5 (36:32):
Hey man, you know, look for my great four times
great grandfather was part black?
Speaker 2 (36:38):
How much? How black? How much?
Speaker 3 (36:41):
Who was this part black?
Speaker 5 (36:42):
This is some bullshit, like I knew it. No need
to stop with these DNA shows. This is over here
bullshit and lying to people like a motherfighter. No, your
great grandfather was an engineer and your great grandfather was
an astronaut, and you're a great father.
Speaker 2 (36:54):
Nobody own slaves, nobody will.
Speaker 5 (36:57):
I was like, I think that's only seen one per
saying it on the end of these shows and say
somebody owns some slaves.
Speaker 3 (37:02):
Yep, one time.
Speaker 2 (37:04):
Not in America, not here. I know we didn't.
Speaker 3 (37:08):
You know, your famish special?
Speaker 2 (37:10):
Yeah, your family special, you're special.
Speaker 3 (37:13):
Well he was a drummery.
Speaker 2 (37:15):
Oh wow, of course he was.
Speaker 3 (37:20):
He was a drummer.
Speaker 2 (37:22):
Yeah, he's like the fuck I knew it.
Speaker 3 (37:24):
Shut up, Stephen, all right, cool, let's uh, let's hit
up some mad big ups, real quick ship.
Speaker 2 (37:31):
Right here we go.
Speaker 3 (37:36):
Rapper and fighter fired. Uhka is his name?
Speaker 2 (37:41):
All right?
Speaker 3 (37:42):
Died of Yeah? Okay, I mean they call him like
literally like one of the last underground rappers. He'd been
around for a while. I'm not super familiar with.
Speaker 5 (37:53):
Him, honestly, he wasn't in my algorithms until, like I bet,
about two months ago, I started seeing a lot more
his videos in my YouTube algorithms.
Speaker 2 (38:03):
Fire some New York, some New York ship. But then,
as when he passed.
Speaker 5 (38:07):
I saw so many people spoke on and I was like,
he had like a fantastic reputation, I guess, but yeah,
man gone too soon.
Speaker 2 (38:13):
He was thirty or four years.
Speaker 3 (38:15):
It's fifty two, so it was older. Yeah.
Speaker 2 (38:17):
Still that's still not old. That's not old. Fifty two,
that's too young.
Speaker 3 (38:21):
Still very young.
Speaker 6 (38:22):
Yeah, yeah, damn, rest in peace, Rest in power man,
Big ups, big ups. Okay, two more.
Speaker 3 (38:33):
Paul Dnoo, that's the Is that the Iron Maiden singer?
Speaker 9 (38:39):
Yes, yeah, that was the original singer and Iron Maiden
original singer.
Speaker 3 (38:45):
Yeah, they don't really, they don't.
Speaker 2 (38:46):
They don't.
Speaker 6 (38:48):
First two albums and a live album albums and it
was more a band was more uh thrash bat wasn't
the thing at the time.
Speaker 2 (38:57):
But they're more punk, like's not heavy. You wouldn't call
them heavy metal.
Speaker 6 (39:02):
They were heavy metal, but I'm saying this album was more,
uh more of a punk sounding version of them. They're
all fast and stuff, not as uh it was raw raw.
It was like more aggressive, and then later on it
got a little more uh theatrical, well and complex.
Speaker 3 (39:18):
The music guys progressive, But seventy eight, I mean that
was that was the that was the beginning of it.
Speaker 1 (39:24):
That was.
Speaker 3 (39:24):
But seventy eight was also like the height of the
punk era as well, So I mean that kind of
makes sense that they would they would start out that
kind of way.
Speaker 2 (39:31):
But but uh yeah, killer band.
Speaker 6 (39:34):
But he was definitely important to that band, uh me
and the original vocalists and stuff.
Speaker 2 (39:39):
Although you know they were able with you.
Speaker 6 (39:41):
Know, Bridge Dickinson, they were able to do things the
concerts that are online that had like the giant background.
Speaker 2 (39:47):
Is he the singer and most of the Yeah, this.
Speaker 6 (39:51):
Guy was on this stuff at the very beginning in
late seven.
Speaker 2 (39:55):
Yeah, pull up some puh what's it was?
Speaker 3 (39:59):
Paul Dan?
Speaker 5 (40:03):
Oh shit, I don't think I know that much about
the earliest part of Iron Maiden. I know, like the
sweet spot.
Speaker 3 (40:08):
I mean, yeah, Iromain has never been like my you know,
it's like really majorie.
Speaker 5 (40:13):
Like kind of I heard about heard it from video games.
They would be like that was just a part of that.
Some of that, like skateboarder, there was like this crossover
at times there was like skateboarders, hip hop, and metal
would all be in like those skateboarding videos.
Speaker 6 (40:28):
So I would like heard some of them songs on
those videos. This is from the first like I've heard,
definitely heard this skateboarding video.
Speaker 3 (40:37):
Yes, yeah, I do like the drummer of the band though.
Speaker 2 (40:48):
Yeah, great man.
Speaker 6 (41:07):
Also, all these songs are way shorter than your typical
Iron Maen tunes.
Speaker 2 (41:12):
Yeah, like this, you can tell that they were where
they were heading. Though it still sounds like I made it. Yeah,
it still does. Like this one. Oh that sounds different, okay.
Speaker 3 (41:22):
I mean it's not drums sound dry as hell. Yeah,
compared to later, you know, it's still.
Speaker 2 (41:29):
Not super dry though there.
Speaker 6 (41:34):
Yeah, yeah it is, but it's the chickens there dry sound.
Speaker 3 (41:39):
Merry normal, yeah, you know, like later they would put
in the fucking it's like horses, different polish. They put
that like metal polish.
Speaker 9 (41:47):
On their ship.
Speaker 6 (41:48):
You know.
Speaker 2 (41:51):
It was still like kind of blues based. Yeah, it
is what I mean, but.
Speaker 6 (41:55):
There their groove is a little different though it is.
The groove is established already. Yeah, they alred got their
own thing the groove.
Speaker 3 (42:02):
Yeah yeah, yeah, man, big ups that.
Speaker 2 (42:05):
Big ups. That was fire and check that out. What album?
Sorry about sorry that killers? The Killers? That was not
the Killers. Not the Killers. Killers is the name of
the album. All right, here we go. The Killers.
Speaker 3 (42:21):
Okay. Uh Liam Payne, uh vocalist from one Direction. Also
the solo artists passed away this weekend. Uh that was
all up in my algorithm, uh for some reason. But uh,
just just a crazy thing. I mean, like fell out
from his hotel room, third floor. It said. I just
(42:45):
read something about it. They say they had pink cocaine.
Speaker 2 (42:48):
Was I saw pictures of the hotel room.
Speaker 3 (42:51):
Hotel room they.
Speaker 2 (42:52):
Said he was.
Speaker 5 (42:52):
They said he was wilding and like had gotten kicked
out of the bar of the hotel and like was
kind of causing a ruckus and was told to leave
a couple of times. So apparently he must have been
going off that day.
Speaker 3 (43:05):
Yeah, and he was like out, he was out talking
to people all the time. Like he's in and out.
I don't know if he's like smoking cigarettes or whatever,
but he's like in and out. He's just tons of people.
Got video footage of him talking to fans and all
that stuff all like all throughout that time. But he
was staying there with some girl and then the girl
like left and then he just like start wilding or something.
(43:26):
Just was like just like got a ton of drugs.
Speaker 5 (43:28):
It's not an information. Can't tell if he fell out
by accident.
Speaker 3 (43:31):
Or not, say, well, one of the drugs was a
hallucino jic.
Speaker 6 (43:35):
Oh, okay, so I might have that might count as
an accident.
Speaker 3 (43:40):
Yeah, so yeah, that sounds that's insane.
Speaker 2 (43:43):
Damn bro, he was young.
Speaker 3 (43:44):
This is thirty one.
Speaker 2 (43:46):
That's mad, young dude, crazy, crazy man.
Speaker 5 (43:49):
That's those uh, those young pop stars, Like some of
them make it through and some of them don't feel
bad for him.
Speaker 2 (43:54):
You know.
Speaker 5 (43:54):
It's like imagine talking to somebody talking learned about this,
like talking about be in like something like One Direction,
you know, and being famous as shit, like the most
famous people on earth. At some point in your life.
You didn't write none of the songs, you don't really
sing all that good, you don't really have a career otherwise,
and then it just ends, you know, and just like
(44:17):
you know, you're just going about your day. Hopefully you
got some money from it, as we hear from every
document I haven't seen in One Direction documentary, but from
what we see, these boy bands like usually they don't
get that much money, you know, like they usually get
fucked over because they're kids or whatever.
Speaker 2 (44:35):
But hopefully they didn't.
Speaker 5 (44:36):
But he seemed like maybe he was rich but man,
there's probably a lot of pressure trying to figure out
what you're supposed to do with yourself, you know what
I mean, And you just start getting fucked up all
the time.
Speaker 3 (44:46):
Even if they are even if they are doing well,
they get they get the betrayal, at least in America
that they're not doing well. But even they they could
just survive off of the ship in Europe and do
like appearances doing. But I mean they're still putting out
records like the rest of the day. I mean they are, Yeah,
the rest of the guys are They just they're just
(45:07):
not as big as you know, their style styles no, yeah,
but like you know, they all got there. They're like
got their in sync teers.
Speaker 6 (45:16):
Of Like, was he putting out solo records? I'm sorry,
was he putting out solo records?
Speaker 3 (45:21):
I think he's put out solo stuff. They've all put
out singles and records and stuff. Yeah, like and some
are just more successful than others or whatever. But supposedly
he was just having a lot of issues. But yeah,
it's rough. So Magi big man, big ups to uh Ma,
big ups mayn okay slaps.
Speaker 2 (45:41):
Nils and there was a slop.
Speaker 3 (45:48):
Slop just here we all gain to give it a go.
Speaker 4 (45:54):
Mm hmm.
Speaker 5 (45:55):
Yeah, another edition of Slaps Slaps is going.
Speaker 2 (45:59):
Uh uh okay, we got we got a bunch of
stuff here.
Speaker 3 (46:03):
So what what do you where you want to start?
Speaker 6 (46:05):
Well, first of all, for some reason, I think something
happened and there's like a ton of sly Stone songs
on here.
Speaker 3 (46:13):
Yeah, you know, I didn't even look at it. There's
a bunch of other slides Stone, but there's one in particular.
It's called It's uh, it's with this guy. I think
his name is like Sal something.
Speaker 2 (46:24):
Yeah. Is it new?
Speaker 3 (46:27):
Yeah, it's a new song. I saw it on Instagram.
That's why I know about it.
Speaker 2 (46:31):
Okay.
Speaker 6 (46:31):
I didn't pull an art from this because I like
didn't know if it was real.
Speaker 3 (46:35):
Yeah, it's real. Hold on, let me let me go.
Speaker 2 (46:38):
The role Model is the name of it.
Speaker 3 (46:39):
Yeah, roll Model.
Speaker 2 (46:40):
Okay, Yeah, well let's check it out.
Speaker 3 (46:42):
I'll just yeah, so this is new Slidestone with this
guy what's his name, sal Sal Philip Elly, Sal Philip
Elly and sly Stone. They got a video that was
like that's all over Instagram right now?
Speaker 2 (46:55):
All right, so role model? Alright, what just happened? Hit
it again?
Speaker 6 (47:08):
What what did Okay, why does it keep stopping?
Speaker 2 (47:17):
Huh wait a minute here? Uh is this.
Speaker 3 (47:29):
All right?
Speaker 2 (47:29):
It works now? Okay, all right, that was weird, like
all this Burke take them bells, like them jingles.
Speaker 3 (47:39):
I told you I'd come back to the city.
Speaker 2 (47:46):
Oh is that sound?
Speaker 3 (47:48):
But that.
Speaker 4 (47:50):
Watson?
Speaker 3 (47:51):
It sounds dude.
Speaker 4 (47:53):
Okay, become everyone said, rastick, I need.
Speaker 3 (48:09):
Racon juice.
Speaker 4 (48:18):
Because now I see.
Speaker 2 (48:22):
My son's your old model sly Stone. Okay, yeah, it's
a it's just pick.
Speaker 3 (48:29):
Right here, real model.
Speaker 2 (48:32):
No, I don't want, I know it's not's from playing. Okay, okay,
that's the artwork.
Speaker 4 (48:39):
Three No, no, no, not my.
Speaker 2 (48:46):
Somewhere sounds like a damn session.
Speaker 3 (48:50):
Yeah, what is going on?
Speaker 2 (48:53):
Recording my.
Speaker 3 (49:00):
Half stracked doings?
Speaker 2 (49:01):
Got to be Wait then tun like you for second?
Speaker 4 (49:03):
But now a model you win?
Speaker 3 (49:05):
This is a sour guy I got.
Speaker 2 (49:06):
Oh he's dripping me.
Speaker 5 (49:07):
I never forget which is my shadow when these passions
running beep, when he's swimming in the shallow.
Speaker 2 (49:12):
I told me stick around and I'm just searching for
what reason now and then be leaving when I saw
we gotta be leaving that I'm the.
Speaker 3 (49:22):
One that's why I got the.
Speaker 2 (50:26):
Okay ship it's a hard shut h that's the whole thing.
Speaker 3 (50:34):
Yeah, that's the song.
Speaker 10 (50:35):
Uh.
Speaker 3 (50:36):
So So this guy has been working with Slidestone supposedly
for a pretty long time, uh, working with him on
a lot of Slidestones material. Okay, So they've been doing
this because like I've heard about Slidestone working on stuff
for years with like auto tune vocals and everything. Uh
(50:57):
and like having a collection of that kind of you
I wonder if that's what maybe they came together and
you know, he got live musicians and stuff and maybe
maybe maybe made it more of a thing.
Speaker 2 (51:10):
Well, so what was still in his contribute the chorus?
Speaker 3 (51:14):
I guess I think, I mean, I think this could
be a co write, Like I think this could be
I think this could be sly song and then with
like added people like that might be his daughter or somebody.
Speaker 9 (51:25):
So he's like what I've not seen, you know, footage
of him in a very long time, but there's a
video of him on Instagram with this guy doing a song,
Like they have a video that's like being promoted.
Speaker 3 (51:39):
That's how I found out about this. I was like,
what the fuck Sladestone has a music video? It's on
Instagram is with some white guy. All Right, I'm gonna
check the shit out. So I just went and just
added to the thing. Listening to it, I mean, there's.
Speaker 6 (51:53):
A lot of stuff in here that I would like,
but maybe just the mix is the mix is so amateur.
This almost sounds like a live like a live jam session,
but with some strings there or something like the drums
are so quiet other than like that high hat kind
of wash.
Speaker 5 (52:10):
It's just not Yeah, a very good mix, but yeah,
but Slowstone songs. The mix can be crazy anyway, but
in like in a way that's charming. Yeah, you know,
because it's old to mix a bunch of stuff himself. Yeah,
this sounds so new that I like what slide did. Man,
(52:30):
But I can't let this laugh. I don't want to
hear it again.
Speaker 2 (52:32):
Yeah, I gotta go with Reggie on this. I maybe
just could have been something. Maybe.
Speaker 6 (52:39):
I think if if Slidestone is involved, it would have
been more interesting than this. I mean, he definitely, I know,
but if he isn't that he is, think that he
would it would be better if he was involved.
Speaker 3 (52:52):
He hasn't put out a really good record in a
very long time.
Speaker 2 (52:54):
Well, then why are we getting excited about this or not?
You know what I mean?
Speaker 3 (52:59):
Because he's a legendary and music you know, Uh, it
may not sound great, but it is Uh, it's new
and it's sly. He's still with us, you know, uh
supposed to clean.
Speaker 2 (53:13):
Man, I can't even tell if this is good or not. Yeah, okay,
makes me think it's not. Yeah, so also I agree,
I'm not actually don't like it at all.
Speaker 3 (53:25):
I think it took to it took too long to
hear him, you know, all.
Speaker 2 (53:31):
Yeah that's who voices before he comes in. Wrong with y'all? Yeah,
the first voice. That's that's insane. Period.
Speaker 3 (53:39):
It would have been dope to hear him in.
Speaker 2 (53:41):
The first voice is not even credited as a person.
Speaker 3 (53:46):
Yeah, that's where that's that kids confusing.
Speaker 2 (53:49):
I was like, is this was the wrong song?
Speaker 5 (53:51):
That was like almost like a like a Broadway show recording,
You're like a live recording.
Speaker 2 (53:57):
I'm not alive, that's what it's saying.
Speaker 3 (53:59):
You know what I mean?
Speaker 2 (54:00):
You know that sound that I'm saying, Yeah, it's.
Speaker 11 (54:02):
Like not.
Speaker 2 (54:04):
Show.
Speaker 3 (54:04):
It's it's definitely home. It's fun, you know, Yeah it's
not it's not well done. But yeah, I'm not going
to listen to this again, but I would like to
revisit this project because they did put out another song,
uh too, and so let's we'll maybe come back to
this next time, back to this last time, clean up
the list or whatever on that. But uh yeah, that's
(54:27):
you know, that's not going to slap for me either.
This chaotic, you know, to say the.
Speaker 6 (54:35):
Least, it was like if it was the end of
a movie or something that we hadn't seen. It's like
so much going on.
Speaker 5 (54:41):
It's like with the sink of the strings, it's like
it's a lot how James Bond Church song.
Speaker 3 (54:46):
And yeah, I'll say that's like one of the best
of one of his records that I've heard in a while.
The last record that he did is like is wild,
so I I but it's still yet it's very chaotic.
Speaker 5 (54:58):
That one little groove in the middle I could hear it.
I can hear Okay, this is a slid stone loop
right here. Yeah, I can hear it right part in
the middle and the bass part to me reminded me.
Speaker 3 (55:08):
So that's why I was like, I know that he's
done a lot of this music because it's like it's
adding it's putting the elements together with the live drums,
but his his bass, you know, it's like, I mean,
it was very loud.
Speaker 6 (55:20):
It was like right there those drums, man, I can't.
I just did not like it when drums are like that,
like put them ships in the mix. Man, it was
weird what we're supposed to be listening to?
Speaker 2 (55:32):
Right yeah?
Speaker 3 (55:33):
Yeah, yeah, no, it's not focused. All right, Let's move forward.
Speaker 6 (55:38):
So I want to check out where is it here?
This looks this looks interesting. Rose and Bruno Mars.
Speaker 3 (55:48):
Yeah, Rose, Rose and Brutal Mars. I don't know who
Rose is.
Speaker 2 (55:55):
This album looks like a her I spell it r Z,
like the like the drink drink Yeah yeah r O.
Speaker 3 (56:04):
I see.
Speaker 6 (56:05):
Okay, cool, never, let's go check it out. It's like
it looks like a punk seven inch I like it. Yeah,
that's cool, all right?
Speaker 3 (56:15):
What's name is on?
Speaker 2 (56:16):
Apartment?
Speaker 3 (56:17):
Apartments?
Speaker 2 (56:20):
It was all the game the game game start but
it U buts it, but but it.
Speaker 3 (56:36):
But but it but it.
Speaker 11 (56:42):
Kissy face. Kissy face sends your phone. But I'm trying
to kiss your lips for real. Red Hearts, Red Hearts,
That's what I'm on on Yeah, come give me something
I can feel.
Speaker 3 (56:55):
Oh, don't you want to me like more babite?
Speaker 2 (56:59):
Don't you?
Speaker 3 (57:00):
Men can need you now?
Speaker 6 (57:02):
Say to I go crazy?
Speaker 4 (57:05):
Are you guys?
Speaker 9 (57:07):
Meet me at the.
Speaker 2 (57:09):
Puts it up?
Speaker 6 (57:11):
But it.
Speaker 9 (57:16):
But it?
Speaker 2 (57:17):
But but.
Speaker 6 (57:21):
What?
Speaker 3 (57:21):
But it's what?
Speaker 2 (57:22):
It's whatever you buy?
Speaker 3 (57:24):
Turn this up?
Speaker 6 (57:25):
But it's a cloaking drink to smoke.
Speaker 3 (57:29):
Free body on that. Go back, go back, go soup.
Speaker 4 (57:34):
Don't you Milica? Won't you read it? Don't you America?
Speaker 2 (57:39):
Need you enough?
Speaker 3 (57:40):
Say to tonight, go crazy.
Speaker 4 (57:44):
All you gonna do is just meet me at what's it?
What's it'?
Speaker 6 (57:51):
What's it's up?
Speaker 3 (57:54):
What's it?
Speaker 4 (57:56):
What's it?
Speaker 2 (57:57):
Got a bridge?
Speaker 9 (58:00):
Hey?
Speaker 3 (58:03):
Are you ready?
Speaker 4 (58:04):
Because I'm.
Speaker 6 (58:14):
I think this person I think is a uh it
was a part of one of those groups that's going solo,
like part.
Speaker 2 (58:20):
Of black or something. Yeah, one of those groups.
Speaker 3 (58:23):
Yeah, she was part of.
Speaker 5 (58:26):
Black Pink, Black Pink. Okay, I recognize that. Okay, I
recognized the face. Okay, I mean this ship is all
recorded incredibly, but I mean this the lyrics and this
type of this particular type of music sounds like it's
written by like a prompt and AI prompt like meet
me at the bar.
Speaker 2 (58:46):
Let's go party I've got you know, it's just generic. Yeah,
you know what I mean? This is I can't let
this lab to me. This is this is not this
is not for me.
Speaker 5 (59:00):
Even though it sounds the sound of it is cool,
it's the lyrics that make me not want to listen.
Speaker 6 (59:05):
At first, I really liked it before they're saying anything
that I understood what they're saying. I really really liked it,
and it's fine. Slowly it started to wear off. I
was going to give this, uh you know, a powder slap.
This is like it's kind of cool. Yeah, but that
one that went away quick. I can't condone this.
Speaker 3 (59:25):
Yeah, No, I just wanted to point out real quick
because I just did a little bit of research on
this song and uh yeah, this was produced by Bruno
Mars and it was written by the artist and Brutal.
This was written by at least fifteen people. I believe that.
Speaker 2 (59:45):
Yeah, this was like, this is ultra pop.
Speaker 3 (59:46):
This is a committee of people to get this.
Speaker 6 (59:49):
This song was was sold to commercials and movies before
it came out.
Speaker 3 (59:54):
Yeah, I mean you know what I mean.
Speaker 2 (59:55):
It's like before anybody.
Speaker 3 (59:57):
Heard it, it was already probably probably it's Yeah, it
feels like that in a way. But uh, this is
a surprise. I still think this works for Bruno, but
it looks more raw than what we just heard. Yeah,
they're selling, is that they're selling. I'm like, okay, no,
(01:00:17):
I was.
Speaker 2 (01:00:17):
I got excited, like, oh, it's just gonna look sound
like how it looks.
Speaker 3 (01:00:21):
Yeah, I'm like it could be cool. It was like
it does not very polished, yeah single, Oh maybe this it.
Speaker 2 (01:00:28):
Sounded like Blondie or something super polished.
Speaker 11 (01:00:33):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:00:34):
Yeah. When it started, it kind of sound like a
Taylor Swip song until like it's kind of those senses
came in, like this sounds like shake it Off or something.
Speaker 3 (01:00:41):
Yeah, I mean it's it's catchy or whatever. But I
mean even Bruno, I mean I feel like these lyrics
that's better. Honestly, I feel like these lyrics just are
not like, no, it doesn't sound like that anyone has
spent any time on.
Speaker 6 (01:00:56):
This is not as good as take it Off Harder
than It's cool that like I think it really does.
Speaker 3 (01:01:06):
It looks like literally the whole band that he works
with is like credited for this song, so it's like
a whole thing. But man, it's just it doesn't really
sound like it.
Speaker 2 (01:01:16):
I saw go back in time ice Cube.
Speaker 3 (01:01:19):
Oh yeah, ice Cube, I saw.
Speaker 6 (01:01:21):
I was very curious about this. It's so hard to
not just listen to it. Ye, he's got any predictions
straight down the middle boom bab.
Speaker 3 (01:01:32):
Think boom boom by up.
Speaker 2 (01:01:34):
What else would it be? Be? Trapping man?
Speaker 3 (01:01:37):
Sometimes he's West coast.
Speaker 5 (01:01:38):
This is West coast, West coast boom back, because that's
what he's always done. He always had beats that kind
of sounded like Public Enemy, you know what I mean.
Speaker 3 (01:01:45):
Yeah, but he went to Public Enemy. That was different.
He went to the East Coast and actually worked with
Public Enemy.
Speaker 5 (01:01:49):
I think you got all of that on there. I
bet it's gonna be samples and synthesizers.
Speaker 2 (01:01:54):
Okay, okay, well.
Speaker 3 (01:01:57):
That's like two different things almost, but like that's what
he is done. Yeah, but sometimes he was which one more.
Sometimes he was strictly East Coast. Sometimes gonna sound like
some some like hardcore l a hip hop, okay, as
West coast, West coasting.
Speaker 2 (01:02:15):
Yeah, I think that sounds about right.
Speaker 3 (01:02:17):
Or I'm expecting yeah see, I don't know if there's
gonna be any samples, but I'm definitely expecting more of
a West Coast vibe laid back, but you know, I
wish it was not as laid back.
Speaker 2 (01:02:30):
I don't think it's gonna be laid back.
Speaker 3 (01:02:31):
I feel like he's gonna be laid back on.
Speaker 6 (01:02:33):
Also, here's one other possibility. It'll be oh man, it'll
be like a studio band like yeah.
Speaker 2 (01:02:41):
People have been doing.
Speaker 6 (01:02:46):
It'll sound kind of like modern gospel music. Like definitely
there's a chance to that. I don't think it's distortion.
Speaker 2 (01:02:54):
Yeah, so, I mean I don't.
Speaker 3 (01:02:58):
If guitar players just sololy yah for the whole no reason.
Speaker 6 (01:03:02):
Phil going crazy in the back. Yep, all right, that's
if possibly. Lets let's check it out. It's called uh,
it's my ego.
Speaker 2 (01:03:13):
I think I'm winning. So finally.
Speaker 3 (01:03:17):
It feels pretty lad.
Speaker 12 (01:03:20):
Where the love go, it's a strug go. It's this
happiness nigga. Fuck no, but I'm just slapping this in
your mouth though with a heave hoo.
Speaker 10 (01:03:29):
You a deep throat. West Coast bitch is the hell sitch.
I can't overdose on the whole ship.
Speaker 2 (01:03:36):
A Minnesota is pimp ship Minnesota. It's an infant.
Speaker 3 (01:03:40):
I was getting drink me.
Speaker 2 (01:03:41):
Folk can't.
Speaker 10 (01:03:44):
Like Jimmy and Tricks so you can find it on
that bullship, or you can choke on your own spece
with your boys in the pull pitch.
Speaker 12 (01:03:51):
Trying to rob my church. I'm gonna rob you first.
I'm gonna do the finer ruin drive your hurt. I'm
gonna hug your mamma, fo I still hurt.
Speaker 4 (01:03:57):
Purse.
Speaker 12 (01:03:58):
I'm a hunch your bits because I'm the curse.
Speaker 2 (01:04:00):
It's everything we say.
Speaker 6 (01:04:03):
Doing.
Speaker 12 (01:04:04):
Laid back go get there, she's passing out like brow
back past the mouth, West goes now.
Speaker 2 (01:04:12):
He always says the pretty good job. You're all right? Yeah,
oh you know you know.
Speaker 3 (01:04:25):
It's my ego. Yes, that's it sounds so shitty.
Speaker 12 (01:04:31):
This is according has kind of mis so tell our
green to pass the grits back the bitch.
Speaker 2 (01:04:37):
I got a bag of tricks. Looks like you got.
Speaker 12 (01:04:41):
Right here.
Speaker 2 (01:04:42):
It's the mask.
Speaker 12 (01:04:45):
I don't like the drug gas like Will did Chris
give a demonstration in front of the nation. I ain't
playing if I had to leave your up, but your
pass right laying.
Speaker 2 (01:04:56):
He's like, these guys are old as hell. Those are
like his whole like you contemporary talking about.
Speaker 3 (01:05:03):
Ship.
Speaker 2 (01:05:07):
You need a max pad to stop man your grass. Sorry,
you like the journey.
Speaker 5 (01:05:25):
This to me is like right where when we always
talk about how funny it's gonna be that old folks
homes are gonna be blasting.
Speaker 6 (01:05:32):
Yeah, this is this is it right here, this is
what this is old man rab. He's like, I'm taking
it back to the days you call them holes hose
out here talking about when you take it back to
the hose, how far into their fifties are they?
Speaker 3 (01:05:45):
I mean, he's gotta be he's.
Speaker 5 (01:05:48):
Listen, man, ll just put out music. He sounds fresher
than ever. Yeah, this right here is definitely on some
like let me show you how we used to do it.
Speaker 2 (01:05:57):
It's like buy your pants up. He's sitting with the
fag of dicks.
Speaker 3 (01:06:00):
He's fifty five.
Speaker 2 (01:06:02):
Oh wow, man.
Speaker 5 (01:06:04):
The rapping. The rapping is the problem here. Like the
BEA's fine, it's not great, but no, this does just
damn dude. At the beginning of this, I was kind
of like, oh, man, said, you know, this isn't that bad.
It's like, you know it's old man rap, but you
don't know we did start rapping yet. And then we
(01:06:26):
start rapping. It was like okay, and they just kept
going farther and farther and farther, just like, all right,
this is getting It's get a little ridiculous.
Speaker 6 (01:06:36):
It's like chill man, you need a Mexic bad Oh,
come down, man, man man. I feel like the get
off our lawn. Uh, they're not they don't make this
generation like they used to think exactly. It's very new
to the hip hop community.
Speaker 2 (01:06:54):
Get off because this is.
Speaker 6 (01:06:55):
Like some Republican Well yeah, because like hip hop didn't
really like you know, we're talking about people that were
making music get in the eighties and later. That's crazy.
There's no boomer hip hop arty now it is.
Speaker 5 (01:07:06):
But I feel like this age is like, yeah, this
year has brought out the boomer hip hops because all
of them started like fell in love with like Trump
a little bit for a second there, but when you
actually love this started making too much money, making that money.
Speaker 3 (01:07:18):
When you look at rap now, it's it is a
different landscape from what it was in twenty sixteen. There
was like a ton of mumble rap going on. True
Future was like the hottest Wrapper period, which was like
the antithesis. And then I remember when Iced Tea was
losing his mind over Soldier Boy. Soldier Boy was like
the first like internet rap, internet rapper. He was up
(01:07:39):
off YouTube and he like, I mean, Ice Tea was
pissed off. This shit blew up. He's like, he was like,
you should be on the beat.
Speaker 2 (01:07:45):
You're not on you know.
Speaker 3 (01:07:47):
He was like saying all kinds of crazy shit about how.
Speaker 2 (01:07:50):
Soldier Boy crossed the Blue Face can Walk talking about
not being on the beat.
Speaker 6 (01:07:54):
Dude.
Speaker 3 (01:07:55):
But I mean they were flipping out about him, and
I'm like, Soldier Boy was doing was fine, you know
what I'm saying.
Speaker 6 (01:07:59):
It was just he was wrapping two kids. It was
so different, so different, but this is wrapping two adult
year olds.
Speaker 5 (01:08:07):
So yeah, for me, for you, just I think I
did give it a no, but just in case, that's
no for me, And damn I love ice Cube too.
Speaker 2 (01:08:18):
I love ice Cube man.
Speaker 3 (01:08:19):
So it's just this is this is There's really no
excuse why this is this bad. The vocal mic sounded
a little weird too, he was too far from yet
either way it was mixed or mastered. Maybe it was
very Uh it's really bright bright kind of like sounds
(01:08:43):
like I recorded, no he does. This does not sound good,
And I'm like, why would it sound so bad?
Speaker 2 (01:08:53):
Because he cheap.
Speaker 3 (01:08:55):
It sounds like he's cheap, and I'm like, he's not
hanging out with Dre. That's why he's definitely not He
needs to hanging out with Dre like someone.
Speaker 5 (01:09:04):
That's like an easy thing for them to say about
everybody from the look man, what about any young producer
that's out here killing it for real?
Speaker 2 (01:09:11):
Like what is this like this Like it's like it
was kind of like impression.
Speaker 5 (01:09:17):
It's like it's like an impression of beats that he's
been on before, you know, like putting that portamental synth
in there at the end and like kind of having
the like boom like you know, the West Coast like
juice kind of.
Speaker 2 (01:09:30):
It's just it sounds almost like an impression of it.
Speaker 3 (01:09:33):
But those bars were weakest, you know.
Speaker 5 (01:09:35):
Yeah, while in real life they were wrapping over the
Osley Brothers plus some drums. Actually today was a good day.
You watch them, oh yeah. But in general, it's it
was of a song how about that? You know, And
this is like a fake version of like when they
would sample you know, uh uh, what's the like Roger
(01:09:59):
Troutman or whatever. Yeah, but it's like a fake version
of it. It's almost like, you know, what I'm saying.
Speaker 3 (01:10:04):
It sounds old, but it sounds old, but it sounds
like an imitation of what he used to do, like
Don't Be a Menace.
Speaker 5 (01:10:10):
You know you've seen Don't Be a Minace in South
Central all the music in that when they're just kind
of like generically doing.
Speaker 2 (01:10:16):
Some like West Coast. That's what this sounds like.
Speaker 3 (01:10:18):
Yeah, it's imitation, it's a it's a character. And the
thing is like, Oh, cool J sounds like way more
in shape to the beats ice Cube sounds. He just
sounds like not he just doesn't sound good.
Speaker 2 (01:10:30):
It's more old man.
Speaker 3 (01:10:31):
He sounds like old man.
Speaker 2 (01:10:32):
So he sound like also, but like cool J is
like a fitness influencer.
Speaker 3 (01:10:38):
But you can still he has been, but you could
still suck. There were a couple of years where he
did not was not good. And then he he said
he had been working out in the studio if you will,
like practicing with doctor Dre and doing a bunch of
songs like fucking ice Cubes sounds terrible. This is not good.
Should not have been released.
Speaker 6 (01:10:54):
Man.
Speaker 2 (01:10:55):
So no, yeah, weah no, nobody likes you already.
Speaker 6 (01:11:01):
Yeah we said, I'm saying, okay, you're it was just
we'll see the next the next track.
Speaker 3 (01:11:05):
I was I was just I just was just going on.
Speaker 2 (01:11:08):
All right, we'll check back. I'll try this.
Speaker 3 (01:11:10):
Uh like all right, one more.
Speaker 2 (01:11:12):
Yeah. So this I didn't know anything about, but the
art looks cool it uh uh m k G.
Speaker 3 (01:11:22):
Oh yeah yeah, m k G.
Speaker 2 (01:11:24):
Yeah.
Speaker 6 (01:11:25):
Rockman is the name of this song. Okay, let's check
this out. Oh dude, that is through a rockman.
Speaker 2 (01:11:36):
Got that tape hissing that bad boy.
Speaker 6 (01:11:50):
Shut up.
Speaker 2 (01:11:52):
It sounds like the police. Yeah, that's absolutely what he's using. Title.
Speaker 6 (01:12:00):
It's a headphone amp from the eighties. Okay, yeah, you
said you're awesome. I use this on the Florida song
The Hustle the guy from Boston.
Speaker 2 (01:12:15):
Uh, design all.
Speaker 3 (01:12:17):
Really hold.
Speaker 2 (01:13:31):
This is up. There have a separate history that mature
bag puts that up.
Speaker 3 (01:13:47):
All right, let it run man.
Speaker 2 (01:13:51):
Show all right. Yeah it was a relaxing but not boring.
Hell yeah, man, shout out to you. MKG. This is
I love it. I wanna put this in my algorithms.
Speaker 6 (01:14:07):
Yeah.
Speaker 5 (01:14:08):
I love the sound of it. I love that he
was having fun with that, just like letting that little
like snare drum go, letting that kick drum be in
the back and just like thumping on the guitar part,
you know, for those low frequencies. I love that he
was having fun with the mix. Yeah, little pianos clinking
in the background. It felt like this felt great.
Speaker 2 (01:14:27):
Yeah, it felt like he seen his ass off too.
It felt like he bought.
Speaker 6 (01:14:33):
An old Rockland headphone amp. He was like, oh hell yeah,
noodling around with it and then wrote a song.
Speaker 2 (01:14:38):
And this is the song.
Speaker 5 (01:14:39):
I've been listening to a lot of The Police, I
guess because Stuart Stuart Copeland's in my algorithms heavy right now.
I guess he's been doing mad interviews. So I'm the
Police have been back in the rotation and this is
this is right on the sound. Yeah, but yeah, I
did like this as well. I don't know how often
I list into it. I wouldn't turn it off if
(01:15:01):
it ever came on.
Speaker 2 (01:15:02):
It definitely makes me want to listen to the album,
Like whatever, this album.
Speaker 3 (01:15:09):
I've listened to some of this dude's stuff and he's
already like like TikTok is going crazy for him, and
so yeah, I like, I like a lot of his stuff,
and I hadn't heard this song and I mean, yeah,
he sounds great, great, you know. I mean it's what
you see is what you get with him. You know,
he's got all the stuff. I saw his like little
rig run down where he talks about his rig and stuff,
(01:15:31):
and he's just like yeah, he's like not really, He's
like really Tom, Yeah, he just like literally yeah, it's
like four pedals. He's gotten not much going on, and uh,
it's a really cool sound. He's got a great performance
on Jimmy Kimmel as well. It's really good so harmonies. Yeah, dude,
(01:15:52):
I mean I love this sound. It's great. You know,
no more no less slaps. Oh yeah, man, that's kind
of how it goes lately. We've been like ending on
a decent note. We'll have like three clunkers and about
you know, and yeah, talk about lessons more. Man.
Speaker 2 (01:16:11):
Compare that to what they were doing with slow Stone.
Speaker 6 (01:16:14):
Man, it was like thirteen people playing in there, bro,
and it was like, where's Slatstone exactly.
Speaker 3 (01:16:20):
Yeah, he sounds like a disembodied robot robots.
Speaker 6 (01:16:25):
I don't know how well he's actually doing right now,
Like what's going Yeah, it's like, poor dude, what's going on?
Speaker 2 (01:16:32):
There's something that should.
Speaker 3 (01:16:33):
Down some unsavable files. The fucking they transferred over.
Speaker 6 (01:16:41):
So well, you don't got no clean version of the beat,
no everything already in there. I'm just gonna put my
vocals on top of it. Does sound like this and
winn a Bago exactly what happened.
Speaker 3 (01:16:51):
Right, you know, went on the road. So this recording
some wild Ass is purely slid Stone what it is,
that's what happened.
Speaker 2 (01:17:02):
I'm gonna listen to the album I'm talking ship, but
we listened to the albums.
Speaker 3 (01:17:05):
Yeah we are, We're gonna be back. We're gonna check
it out all right, Thank y'all for checking us out.
Speaker 2 (01:17:11):
Peace fe h, And Sadly, the podcast is no more
