Our Sacred Texts series continues this month with one of Tristan's most beloved of all movies, The Fountain (2006). Darren Aronofsky's quizzically complex story about a surgeon who's losing his wife and fighting to find a cure, which includes a story of conquistadors and a space bubble fit for an art gallery, is one to watch for anyone willing to grapple with the film.
Sacred Texts can be art in any medium that you internalize, reflect upon, and find worth or inspiration through beyond the original presentation. These movies or shows could impact you in a number of ways, and they could be Sacred because they are family touchstones, or because of their impact at a certain time in your life, or indicative of a change in your outlook, or for any number of reasons.
We hope you enjoy today's episode, and you can find ways to watch The Fountain in our show notes. We'll be back with another Sacred Text next month, and next week we've got an exciting episode to coincide with Apple's new F1: The Movie.
Enjoy!
