Nandish appears to be like us, but he is a living yogi. It is not an exaggeration to say he has attained apavarga (renunciation) and is living amongst us with the inner peace that we are seeking in our own inner quest. His life shows us that we too can live in our own sansara, among our loved ones while maintaining our jobs and daily routine, and achieve inner peace.

Nandish has been meditating and doing yoga since he was 13. He did Hatha yoga. He started with gayantri mantra japa; his mother taught him the mantra and his father give him his own japa mala. He noticed that he become more focused and calm.   Having read Patanjali's yoga darshan in the original Sanskrit, he now does daran, dhyana, and samadhi yoga.   Finding no sense in reading about the Vedas and darshans in English, Nandish taught himself Sanskrit and Hindi. He now reads the originals texts in Sanskrit. He has been invited to speak at mandirs (temples) and to young students.   Nandish has published a paper in the scientific and logical structure of Sanskrit.  He is currently writing a book on dharma. His message in the book is that dharma is more holistic than any other system of knowledge like science or religion. He provides his readers with the means to decide for themselves. He also explains the essence of yoga and meditation by citing original Sanskrit texts.   Dr Nandish Patel completed in doctorate in IT. He has been a lecturer at British universities since 1992 and his research has been published in academic journals. He has written several books on business and IT. He has holds a BA in Economics and an MSc in Information Technology.
