Hello, and welcome, inspired podcast community.
This is your new and best episode.
My name is Caroline, and my today's guest isShaurya Jain, and I'm so happy that he said yes

(01:05):
to our interview.
How are you doing today?
I'm doing great, Caroline.
I'm really, I really appreciate you inviting meover to your podcast, and, I'm looking forward
to a chat today.
Well, thank you so much.
I'm blessed by your presence.
I'm inspired already, and I would like tointroduce you to the audience, of course.

(01:31):
So you are the creator of the fractionate linkbuilding method and founder of Herculean SEO, a
successful marketing agency.
You are passionate about personal developmentand business books.
Your journey from overcoming depression and OCDto thriving as an entrepreneur inspires others

(01:51):
to harness their challenges for growth.
Welcome to the Inspired Choice podcast, ShauryaJain.
Thank you.
Thank you, Caroline.
You,
and I congratulate you to your success.
I love your success.
And my first question to you is, how didovercoming personal challenges like OCD shape

(02:13):
your unique approach to SEO and businessgrowth?
Mhmm.
Okay.
So I would say the main lesson that I learnedfrom overcoming my depression and OCD was that
it's all about the mindset.
And, so in depression, what I learned was that, like, these thoughts that we have, they are

(02:38):
just thoughts.
If we identify with them, then they overpowerus.
But if we just treat them like clouds that arejust passing by through our mind, then they
don't have any control over us.
So, similarly, in business, you haveself-doubt.
You have jealousy of other business owners.

(03:03):
You have a lot of negative emotions that youhave to deal with.
So what do you do with those thoughts?
You just treat them as thoughts and let thempass.
And, yeah, just stay in the moment.
Do your best work, and let things unfold asthey are meant to be.

(03:24):
Wow.
I love your answer.
Thank you so much for sharing.
So let the thoughts pass like clouds andconcentrate on your work because I love the
saying, we cannot do tomorrow's work today.
So we focus and we pay attention to what isimportant now, and then we see all the
blessings in the present moment.

(03:44):
Like, we share now.
Wow.
This is what the "Inspired Choice Today"podcast is all about.
And my next question is, what's one mistakemost marketers make with link building, and how
does the fractionate method fix it?
Yeah.
That's a great question.
So the number one mistake that I see marketersmaking is that they rely too much on the SEO

(04:13):
metrics out there.
So the most common ones in the industry rightnow are domain rating and traffic.
So there's a unique thing that exists in thisworld.
It's called the Cobra effect.
So I would first like to explain what the Cobraeffect is, and then I'll tell you how it

(04:34):
relates to the mistake that the marketers aremaking.
So back in the 1800s, the British were rulingIndia, and they saw that there were too many
snakes on the streets.
So they introduced a reward for that.
If anyone brings in a dead snake, they willgive them a reward.

(04:58):
So it was their plan to reduce the snakes.
But what ended up happening was that peoplestarted breeding the snakes just to be able to
kill them and then claim the reward.
So as a result, the snakes on the streetsincreased as opposed to decreased.
So, similarly, what happens in SEO is that SEOsusually reward metrics like traffic and domain

(05:30):
rating of a website.
They think if the domain rating or the trafficof a website is high, then we should get a link
from it.
But what crafty webmasters do is theymanipulate the domain rating and traffic and
increase it, while it's not real growth.

(05:53):
It's just manipulated growth.
But since webmasters are not paying attentionto the other details and they are just paying
attention to those two metrics, in their mind, they think that higher is better.
They get fooled because it's all manipulatedjust like with the British.
It was all manipulated.
The snakes that people were bringing in, theywere not there before.

(06:16):
They were just bred.
Like, they were bred by the snake charmers tobe able to be submitted later.
So, that's why I created the fractionate linkbuilding method.
So it takes away the focus from those twometrics, domain rating and traffic, and it
shows marketers other metrics and things to payattention to while building links because those

(06:44):
are things that people right now are notmanipulating.
And so, since they are not manipulating thosethings, they give us a better sense of the real
quality of a website as opposed to traffic anddomain rating.
Wow.
I love your answer.
And now I have pity for the snakes, of course.

(07:06):
So the poor snakes, they were just created todestroy them.
And you talked about the metrics.
It's the wrong metrics we focused on.
So they are manipulated.
That means that reminded me of a car.
When you drive a car and there's a light goingon telling you something is wrong, and you just

(07:27):
turn off this light instead of dealing with thecause, fixing the cause.
Right?
Exactly.
Exactly.
Exactly.
Like, they are just focusing on the top-levelsymptom instead of the root cause.
Yeah.
I love that example.
Thank you so much.
So I understand better now what it's all aboutbecause I have no clue.

(07:51):
In fact, I'm still learning, you know, in thelearning process.
And this is why I created the podcast soeveryone can learn from that about different
topics.
And I'm so happy that you are here today andtalking to us about this.
My next question is for someone starting out inSEO.
What's the most powerful tactic they canimplement today to see immediate results?

(08:18):
Okay.
So if someone is starting out today, I wouldsay with the rise in AI and everything,
earlier, what people used to do is they used towrite blog posts about information-related

(08:41):
keywords.
So let's say someone was in the automotivebusiness.
They had a car dealership.
So usually, what a car dealership would do isthey would write articles about how-to articles
about keywords that people were searching for, like, how to fix my car, how to change, I don't

(09:08):
know much about cars, how to change thecarburetor or how to fix a broken windshield,
something like that.
So they would write those articles, and theyused to rank those articles in Google, and
people would find their website and probably dobusiness with them.
But with the rise in AI, what is happeningright now is people are going to ChatGPT and

(09:32):
other AI software to just get their questionsanswered.
So now focusing on how-to articles is not thathelpful.
So what they should do is there's another typeof keywords that are called commercial intent
keywords.
So these ones are keywords that people aresearching for when they want to buy something.

(09:59):
Instead of finding information, they arelooking to buy something, buy a service or
product.
So, the dealership now, they would focus mostof the energy on going after these keywords.
Let's say, buy a Ford X300 or buy a HondaCivic.

(10:28):
So when they focus on these keywords and try torank for these keywords, they would be in a,
like, they would get to do more business withpeople because people don't go to ChatGPT and
say, buy a Ford, buy a Honda Civic.
They want to find websites of car dealershipswhen they, like, want to buy a car.

(10:52):
So, yeah, my, like, if I want to put it intoone sentence, my suggestion is to go after
commercial intent keywords as opposed toinformational intent keywords.
Wow.
What great advice.
Thank you so much.
I did not know this.
So I'm a little bit, I'm creating my YouTubechannel as well and my TikTok, and then there

(11:16):
are, of course, advice as well, and then I'mplaying around with it.
But as I said, I have no clue.
So when people want to reach out to you and getyour help on that, where can we find you?
So they can come over to my website calledtheherculeanseo.com, and they can find my

(11:41):
contact details.
And, yes, I also have a YouTube channel calledShaurya Jain SEO.
They can also find me there.
Oh, I love it.
I put the links in the show notes, of course, that I can do.
And I think my last question to you today isabout your goals.
Do you set goals for yourself or intentions, and what is one of your next projects?

(12:05):
Okay.
Yes.
I definitely do set goals.
I think even if you don't reach your goals, atleast, like they say, reach for the moon, fall
among the stars, or something like that.
When you are aiming for something, even if youfail, you are somewhere nearby.

(12:29):
So, I do have goals, and my next project,business-wise, would be to grow Herculean SEO
as a business.
But my long-term goal is to improve theeducation quality in India.
I don't think the right things are being taughtin most countries, actually.

(12:53):
But if I have to start somewhere, I would startwith India, my country, and teach people the
right things like personal finance, nutrition, and probably how to communicate with the other
gender properly, gender studies, those kinds ofthings I would like to introduce in the

(13:17):
schools, because right now, the educationthat's happening, the education system in most
countries, it was made for factory workers, notfor the 21st century.
So yeah.
Oh, it's so true what you said.
Thank you so much for sharing, and I love thatas well.

(13:38):
Also, my goal is to educate people or to helpin what you are doing and mindset shifts and so
on.
So thank you so much for sharing.
Let's spread the message, and also let'sinspire the world together.
Yes?
Yes.
And now it's time for your final thoughts tothe audience, please.
