More About Joey A.X.:

The multi-disciplinary artist has crafted a unique hallmark aesthetic that converges Pop Art, Dada Art, subculture surrealism and vintage collage cut and sew lo fi inspired by punk and hiphop subway posters that he dubbed “Punk Trap Art.”In the past several years, his client roster includes Def Jam Records biggest names, PUMA collaborations with Matthew Growney, Land Rover, EA Sports, The NBA, NHL, Migos, Cardi B, Versace, Clinton Sparks, uptown streetwear designer brands, and personal work for A-list celebrities. 

In early 2023 he was tapped to be the first ever creative director for gentlemen’s club empire Spearmint Rhino. His work with Rhino has reimagined an entire industry, turning a once taboo space into Pop Art. 

A.X blends sub and pop culture in surrealist ways and leads with narrative in all his work. His Instagram page alone is a scrolling art gallery that tells his own story in subconscious and veiled messaging that was covered by the art world since 2021. From touring with Mac Miller and MGK in 2012 his background is music and it still plays a strong role in all his work as he uses the entire culture as a canvas in multi channeled mediums. He is also a serial entrepreneur, a co-founder of tech comms app Five, and his own agency Electric Halo in Manhattan. He has raised over 5 million dollars for multiple ventures since 2020. 

In 2024 he has two gallery shows slated in Manhattan and Miami, the drop of soccer legend Ronaldinhos first ever fashion/lifestyle line, the creation of “Rhino Society” - Spearmint Rhinos lifestyle line, a host of major record release album art and a prodigious artist in residency role with new Miami based creative house and gallery Thermal Studios. 

Joey originally hails from New Haven, CT. He and his work have been covered by The Source, High snobiety, Vogue, B.E.T , The Culture Crush zine, NYCGo Magazine and more. He champions sobriety and recovery, spirituality and education in the arts.
