In today’s world, the phrase “Love is love” is often thrown around to justify sin, but what does the Bible actually say about love?

In this episode of Hard Truths, we will tackle the misconception that love and truth are opposites. Drawing from Matthew 10:34-39, Galatians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 13:4-6, and more, we'll explain why the love of Christ divides and how standing firm in truth can cost us, even the respect of those closest to us.

We discuss why real love does not affirm sin but calls sinners to repentance in a loving, yet truthful way—just as Christ did.

This episode also emphasizes that when we confront sin or false worldviews, whether in the public sphere or in our personal lives, we must do so with gentleness and respect, just as 1 Peter 3:15 commands.

Ultimately, love that refuses to speak the truth isn’t love at all—it’s cowardice. But if you speak the truth with Christ-like compassion, even the world’s rejection can’t take away the peace Christ gives.

If you’ve ever wondered what true love looks like, this episode is for you.

And remember, you don’t need to look up in the sky for a savior—the One who truly saves has already come down.
