carly pierce, cheryl crow theybrought cross-generational

Broadway.

I get it, but fans would liketo see them go out and do that
tour.

You can't be mad that it gotcanceled because of COVID, but

Do you know, hannah and I weresigned up to do a mud girl run
and then three years later I gotan email from the company like
we're doing the mud run and yourticket has been transferred.

So I like to do the you know, extreme 5Ks where
they're not really all aboutrunning.

like clay mud where you can'tget your shoe out, but like real

So when I was a kid, if therewas dirt man, I couldn't get
enough dirt in my shoes, in mysocks.
We would go camping everyweekend and my sister would just

toes and she would.

That's how my wife gets into it and she would just
moan.

Do I have to sleep next to her?
She's so dirty.
And then I think what thekicker was.
Because of jenny complaining somuch, my parents made us
flip-flop ends, so like her headwas by my feet, my feet were by
her head.

Yes, she's a very sweet person.

So I know you enjoyed that.

I did enjoy it and it sounds like she's had a
very extensive career.
I would have loved to havelearned more about who she
toured with and what she did andshe did some stuff on her own
and just the differentconnections that she has.
It just seems like she's hadsome really cool experiences.

Well, she came on to talk about her new video and
her single, which is what we did.

Yes.

But I would like to go back now and have her back on
at some point and discuss herearlier career.

Yeah, because also she toured as a ballet with
the ballet, I should say.
So that's kind of interestingto me too, like she did all this
stuff in the ballet realm andshe was touring and then she
talked about how touring isreally hard on your body.
So it surprises me that shetoured as a young ballerina and

then she did it again as a musicartist.

so and she played with the guys from slipknot
right, yeah, she's had a prettyamazing career not like opening
up for the, the guys she playedin a band With them.
Yeah, she was the front womanfor the guys from Slipknot.

A couple things about it that Iliked, so let me take a moment
to share.

I'll start with the band, because, well, that's what
I mentioned Loverboy 80s band.

Yep.

They sounded every bit as good as they did in the
80s.
Now, in between songs, theytalked very cheesy oh, the
singer was very cheesy inbetween songs, but as far as
singing, he hit one note that Iwas like there's no way he's
gonna do it and he nailed itlike no questions asked.

Nailed it so wow sounded likethe record in most cases yeah so
I was very impressed with allthat.
The band it was a small band, itwas not large, I think it was a
four-piece band behind him.
It was very, very goodmusically, very good.
Like it a little cheesy, he washitting on girls in the crowd

in between songs, I mean it wasfunny.
It was very funny.
But I also mentioned thatCarried Away, the Carrie
Underwood tribute band, was alsoplaying that night.
Yeah, they were outdoors whileLoverboy was indoors.
I did not get to see CarriedAway.
I wish I did.
I saw the venue after the fact.

It was very nice, but I did notget to see them perform.
But the venues are what I'dlike to talk about.
It was at a place calledTurfway, which is a horse track
casino, and their outdoor venuewas beautiful.
Even though I didn't get to gowatch it.
I was able to look down on itand it was very beautiful, like

well manicured grass, nice stage.
I mean they blew it out of thewater for most outdoor stages
and then they're they're indoorwhere lover boy played.
It felt like you were at a prom.
I mean it's like a banquet halland it was just like card table

chairs everywhere.
I mean it was a very odd venuebut I enjoyed it a lot.
It was not a good sounding venue.
It was not very impressivelooking.
It was literally just like abanquet stage in a banquet hall

uh-huh, I mean, it was like youwere at a hotel conference yeah,
but every seat was 10 feet fromthe stage, or?
Yeah, a little bit more thanthat.
It was probably 30 feet, butyeah it was very and they didn't
care where you went.
I mean, you had tickets, youhad the signed seats.

Yeah.

But no.

I love venues like that, where it's small
enough that every seat's a goodseat.

Yeah, and I mean they were able to see everybody
in the audience and everybody inthe audience was able to talk.
And what I thought was funny ishe's on stage.
He's like, oh, this is such anintimate venue and this is
amazing.
We don't normally get to playvenues like this.
We're too busy, you know,playing arenas.
It's like ain't no way you'restill playing arenas, but it was

still very cool.
It was very, very good.
I like it a lot.

He was trying to impress the honeys still.
