Huh nice, let's kick this thingoff tonight.
I saw an article today, anarticle that I thought was
humorous.
But let's go ahead and reviewit a little bit and you can give

(02:02):
me your thoughts and see whatyou think.

Tiffany Mason (02:05):
Okay.

Jay Franze (02:05):
The article was the 25 most important countrymen of
the last 25 years.

Tiffany Mason (02:12):
Wow, these are ranked now 25 most important
countrymen.

Jay Franze (02:17):
I don't know why the women aren't important, but the
men are in this article, so I'mgoing to go down the list.

Tiffany Mason (02:27):
Chauvinistic pigs who made.

Jay Franze (02:28):
The list.
25 is a lot to go through, butI'll go through them quick.
Maybe we can spend a little bitmore time on the top 10, but
I'm going to go through thehonorable mentions of the
remaining 25.
And you can give me youropinions if you think they
belong on the list of the mostimportant people of the past 25
years.

Tiffany Mason (02:44):
Okay, that sounds like a plan.

Jay Franze (02:46):
All right, number 25 .
Hockey player Dierks Bentley.
You got it.
Look at you, we're on a rolltonight.
First one, dierks Bentley.
Do we think he's one of themost important men of the past
25 years when it comes tocountry music?

Tiffany Mason (03:03):
Well, what I want to know is are they giving any
reasons why?
Because I don't have a rolodexof what every country artist has
been up to you're gonna want meto read.

Jay Franze (03:15):
I'll tell you what I'll read.

Tiffany Mason (03:16):
When we get down to the yeah, yeah, because
otherwise I don't know we willbe here all night long the fact
that he was snarky with you athockey.

Jay Franze (03:23):
no, You've got to realize I'm a Bostonian and I
enjoy that banter, but yes, wegot in a few scuffles when we
were on the ice.
It says he's got rareinfluences that include
bluegrass and Americana.
So okay, I can kind of see that.
Number 24, jamie Johnson.

Tiffany Mason (03:47):
Number 23, Kid.

Jay Franze (03:48):
Rock Whoa Okay.

Tiffany Mason (03:49):
Well, I think I told you that I saw his little
walk down Broadway with the guyfrom the news channel and I mean
I was pretty impressed by theinterview, quite honestly, and I
think he made a pretty bigimpact on music.
So I'm going to go with yes,Okay, it says with his song
Pitcher.

Jay Franze (04:04):
He carved his way big impact on music, so I'm
going to go with yes, okay, itsays with his song Pitcher he
carved his way into the countrymusic scene.

Tiffany Mason (04:12):
I do love that song and remember I recommended
it for the playlist for the longdrive, long car ride drive.

Jay Franze (04:18):
Oh, you got to take some credit.
I get it.
I see where this is goingalready.

Tiffany Mason (04:24):
I need to validate my choices.

Jay Franze (04:26):
Understood.
I like Kid Rock?
I get it.
I see where this is goingalready.
I need to validate my choices.
Understood.
I like Kid Rock?
I do.
I don't know if he's one of themost influential people in
country music or influential menin country music Men, yeah, yes
, but I do like him.

Tiffany Mason (04:37):
Also, if it's not even just on the music, but if
it's on like you, I think thathe had a fashion following he is
rather unicu number 22, kanebrown oh, love me some.
I know you like kane I want tohate that song so much backseat

(04:59):
driver but I love it, god, Ilove it he's already made his
debut in the Grand Old Opry.

Jay Franze (05:06):
I mean, he's got a number of singles out, I mean
constantly on the billboardcharts, I would say in the past
25 years, I don't know.
There's got to be more Likenumber 21.
I can go with number 21.
Luke Bryan.

Tiffany Mason (05:22):
Okay, yep, I Luke Bryan, okay, mm-hmm, yep.

Jay Franze (05:25):
I like Luke Bryan and all I can think about every
time I hear Luke Bryan's name isthere was a group of girls.
I know that, just said he's gotthe best country music.

Tiffany Mason (05:35):
Oh, I don't know if that's true or not.
Have they not seen GeorgeStraits?

Jay Franze (05:40):
I'm happy to say no on both accounts, but I do like
Luke Bryan when I think of LukeBryan I always think of.

Tiffany Mason (05:48):
Didn't he take his brother's kids when his
brother passed?

Jay Franze (05:51):
I don't know, but that would be sad as hell.

Tiffany Mason (05:54):
Yeah, I want to say that's what happened.
I want to say that's whathappened.

Jay Franze (05:59):
Oh well, yeah, Thanks for that one.

Tiffany Mason (06:03):
That should be an uplifting story.
I mean it's sad that they losthim, but yes it's sad and
uplifting at the same time.

Jay Franze (06:08):
But, oh man, that's tough.
But yes, Luke Bryan, I likeLuke Bryan and, as I've
mentioned in the past, we dohave his song on the playlist of
my and my daughter's road trip.

Tiffany Mason (06:19):
Kick the Dust Up.

Jay Franze (06:21):
No Play it again.
Play it again.
Play it again.

Tiffany Mason (06:27):
Yeah, I like and I still hear that song on the
radio regularly.

Jay Franze (06:28):
Yeah, I do too.
I heard it just yesterday.
As a matter of fact, number 20jelly roll.
I feel like this list is alittle bit more current than in
the past 25 years, or maybe I'mgonna hold judgment, but maybe
the older artists are in the top10.

Tiffany Mason (06:45):
Okay, well, you can see the whole list.
Actually, I can't.
I waited oh.
I did, I waited and this listis so spread out that I can only
see one number at a time.

Jay Franze (06:59):
Oh, wow Okay.

Tiffany Mason (06:59):
I love it.

Jay Franze (07:01):
Level playing field.
So we are experiencing this atthe same time.
Wow, oh, we are experiencingthis at the same time.

Tiffany Mason (07:11):
Wow, oh, we are crazy people.
Sam hunt number 19, I mean, Ithink.
Yes, actually not mostinfluential, but influential in
the fact that he started that.
I really don't know what thegenre is called, but it's I call
it like rap country, where hetalks really fast, he's not
really rapping, but he's likesaying the words and then he's
singing and I feel like that wasa new kind of style yeah.

Jay Franze (07:34):
All right, I'll give it to you.
I didn't think about it thatway, but yes, I'll give it to
you.
I think of it more like he justhasn't been around that long.

Tiffany Mason (07:43):
No, you're right.

Tony Scott (07:47):
But yeah, bit more like he's just hasn't been
around that long but no, you'reright, but yeah, number 18 is
zach bryan, not bryant, butbryan.

Jay Franze (07:54):
I've been listening to zach bryan a little bit more
often lately and I'm starting toget into him quite a bit
something in the orange.

Tiffany Mason (08:04):
I like that song a lot.

Jay Franze (08:06):
That is an amazing song.

Tiffany Mason (08:08):
Yeah, I agree with that.

Jay Franze (08:11):
All right, glad to see him on the list Number 17,.
Sturgill Simpson.

Tiffany Mason (08:18):
Sorry, we have to back up.

Jay Franze (08:20):
Okay, back up to what number?
I mean back to 25?
, Just where we just were.

Tony Scott (08:24):
Want me to start over?

Tiffany Mason (08:24):
Just where we were.
No, just Mr Zach, You're agreat teen, Zach Bryan.
I think that he too is bringingup another style of music,
another, you know, I don't knowstyle, Because it's also it's
kind of folky, but it'sdefinitely something different.

Jay Franze (08:49):
Yeah, no, I like him .
He's got a little bit of edgeto him.
I like all that stuff in thefirst line of their description.
I said I wouldn't really getinto the description still later
, but the first line says simplyput zach bryan said f the
machine and became his own typeof country superstar oh, there
you.
Backing up your statementNumber 17,.
Sturgill Simpson.

Tiffany Mason (09:08):
I don't know who that is.

Jay Franze (09:09):
Neither do I, but I'm glad you made the list.
I don't know why you're on thelist.

Tiffany Mason (09:20):
He's a Grammy winner whose grassroots fan base
has swelled larger than ameadow.
Okay, In some ways he's likeEric.

Jay Franze (09:26):
Church with less marketing.
I like Eric Church.
I don't know.
Now I'm going to have to putthat on my list.
See, I gave myself homework.
We didn't have to do this list.
We didn't have to do this atall, and now I have homework,
alright.
Moving on, number 16, dariusRucker.
You know what I like that?

(09:49):
He's on the list, I think he's.
If this list was calledsomething else, I think I would
be okay with it.
But most influential, it'stough, I like Darius.

Tony Scott (09:57):
Rucker.

Jay Franze (09:58):
I almost like his country music as much or more
than Hootie and the Blowfish.

Tiffany Mason (10:04):
Oh no, I like it way more.

Jay Franze (10:05):
Do you?

Tiffany Mason (10:07):
Yes.

Jay Franze (10:08):
I like Hootie and the Blowfish too, but I do like
Darius Rucker as a solo artist.

Tiffany Mason (10:12):
Yeah, I like him better on his own.

Jay Franze (10:15):
Okay, don't get carried away.
Number 15, the best accent incountry music goes to George
Strait.
Woo-hoo, Now come on.

Tiffany Mason (10:24):
Number 15.

Jay Franze (10:26):
See this is where we're going to have a problem.
George Strait should be numberone, if not number two, to Garth
Brooks.
That should be the running forone and two right there.

Tiffany Mason (10:38):
Why do you think that?

Jay Franze (10:40):
Because they're the two biggest superstars ever in
country music.
They've influenced everybodyunder the sun.
See, I'm mad at this list.
Now Number 15.
I was okay with the newcomersbeing on the list especially
high up on the list, but youwant the OGs a little higher.
Well, most influential, george.

Tony Scott (11:02):
Strait, I'm sorry.

Jay Franze (11:02):
Jay George Strait.
How many number ones did we seeyou had 60 oh yeah mm-hmm, okay
, mm-hmm sorry, george, but.
I think you deserve it andTiffany thinks you have a nice
house.
If you'd like to come on andtalk to us about either one of
those things, we will be happyto entertain you.

Tiffany Mason (11:22):
Jayfranciecom slash live number 14 jason
isbell I do not know this artist, but I know that I interviewed
somebody on my podcast about oneof his songs and that guy was
all about some jason isbell helooks kind of nerdy oh well I

(11:45):
mean you can't judge a book byits cover.

Jay Franze (11:47):
He dresses the way I dress when I go into meetings
and stuff.
So if he looks nerdy, I looknerdy.

Tony Scott (11:53):
But I'm not saying that is necessarily a bad thing.

Jay Franze (11:56):
He's got some hip glasses on in the picture, but
he's wearing a blazer and abutton-down shirt.
He looks cool.

Tiffany Mason (12:02):
I'll give it to him.
He looks sharp.
That's just a professional look.
I don't feel like that's anerdy look.
Yeah.

Jay Franze (12:06):
Well, I think it's the glasses and the way he's got
his hair done.
Okay, you know what?
He reminds me of Two and a halfmen, the nerdy brother.

Tiffany Mason (12:14):
Oh, yeah, okay.
That's what he looks, but Idon't remember what Alan's real
name is.

Jay Franze (12:24):
It's all right.
He's a popular actor.
He doesn't need my recognition.
Oh, give me a break.
Number 13, garth Brooks, I'mcalling foul right now.

Tiffany Mason (12:38):
I was going to say you better call these people
.

Jay Franze (12:41):
Calling foul and I'm disappointed in the name you've
chosen for your list.

Tiffany Mason (12:47):
I need to let you know that John Cryer is.

Jay Franze (12:50):
John Cryer.
Yes, Thank you very much.

Tiffany Mason (12:52):
No problem.
I mean, maybe we just throwthis whole segment out.

Jay Franze (12:59):
Might have to.
Editing is going to be when itcomes to this.
I might rearrange it and putthese in the order, I think.

Tiffany Mason (13:08):
Maybe we are like the guy who said F to the
machine.

Jay Franze (13:13):
F to the list.

Tiffany Mason (13:16):
Well, now I'm wondering who they think is more
influential.

Jay Franze (13:19):
Well, number 12, they think, is Alan Jackson.
I think Alan Jackson deservesto be up on this list, but not
ahead of Garth Brooks.

Tiffany Mason (13:27):
Agreed, agreed.
Did Alan Jackson do a wholebunch of performances for the
troops?

Jay Franze (13:36):
He did.

Tiffany Mason (13:38):
I kind of thought so.
So I wonder if that plays intoit a little bit like what
they've given back to thecountry or what they've done for
the troops.
You know, I don't know.
I would think Garth has donesome of that too, but I don't
remember ever hearing it in thenews.

Jay Franze (13:51):
Yeah, garth Brooks has done a lot of that stuff.
He's done it with his wife aswell.

Tiffany Mason (13:55):
Oh yeah, they all seen a lot of stuff with his
wife.

Jay Franze (14:06):
He's done a lot with his wife and apparently, and
he's being accused of doing somestuff with some other people.
No, I said accused, I mean Idon't think he did it, you know
moving on, all right um number11 brad paisley.
What?
What you don't like, bradpaisley?
Uh, I do, I just I like him forthe simple fact that his wife
is hot.

Tiffany Mason (14:28):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (14:28):
His wife is definitely hot.
I like his wife.

Tiffany Mason (14:30):
I don't think that that was part of the
criteria for these men.

Jay Franze (14:33):
We don't know.
Apparently, they have a way ofdoing it on their own.
I think Brad Paisley is notonly a great country singer, but
he's an amazing guitar playerand songwriter.
He's clever and you know, I'llgive it to him.
He deserves to be up on the top10.
I don't know if and this is forthe last 25 years, because if-

(14:56):
we're going to go further back.
We get some other people thatshould be on the top 10.
Yeah, but if we're doing thetop or the past 25 years, brad
Paisley deserves to be in thetop 10.
Just not in front of GarthBrooks or George Strait.
Agreed, all right.

Tiffany Mason (15:13):
Number 10, Luke Combs.

Jay Franze (15:16):
Ooh okay, I mean I, like you know, again been
listening to him a little bitmore often these days.

Tiffany Mason (15:28):
But he's four-time diamond certified at
this point.
Mm-hmm, it's pretty impressive.
Yeah, but yes, he's I thinkthat was last week.

Jay Franze (15:31):
We reported that we did see that, I remembered I'm
proud of you it's also writtenright down here in this number
nine, speaking of amazing guitarplayers, it would be I don't
know.

Tiffany Mason (15:49):
Be nice to me, be nice to me, I just don't know
Keith Urban.
Oh, okay.

Jay Franze (15:57):
He is beyond good at the guitar and we're talking
about underrated people.
He doesn't get the credit hedeserves for playing that guitar
.

Tiffany Mason (16:05):
Heie's pretty good with the strings he's good
with his fingers.

Jay Franze (16:10):
Same thing with Brad Paisley he's good with his
fingers too.

Tiffany Mason (16:14):
That's what his wife said.

Jay Franze (16:16):
I don't know either of those things firsthand but to
land a wife like either oftheirs maybe there's some
something to that.
His wife is very nice.
I had a chance to meet his wife.
She was very nice.
Number eight, my favoritenumber.
If you out there in the crewwould like to make note of that,
number eight is my favoritenumber and number eight goes to

(16:37):
jason aldean oh, good call.
I like Jason Aldean, I like hima lot.
Dirt Road Anthem amazing song.

Tiffany Mason (16:49):
Try that in a small town.
I love the controversy and alsofreaking.
Try that in a small town, Right?
I don't know why there'scontroversy on that.

Jay Franze (16:56):
I mean that is the dumbest thing in the world to me
.
So stupid.
But it's a great songnonetheless, and he's a great
artist and he's a great artist.
Does he deserve to be abovegarth brooks or george straight?

Tiffany Mason (17:06):
no, no, and you know what?
I think he would say that aswell.
I think that he would say thatas well too.
I interviewed a lady and askedher you know what song she
picked?
And she picked a song by jasonaldean, and she was in las vegas
during the shooting.

Jay Franze (17:23):
So I wonder if it's maybe how he handled that, you
know I used to live right downthe road from where that
shooting was really yes, my thedays of the comedy oh, that's,
scary um number seven.
I'm laughing because of thepicture.

(17:45):
Sorry, I know this is an audioshow but the picture is a
button-on shirt that is openedall the way down to the belly
button and not a single hair onthe chest.

Tiffany Mason (17:55):
Is it Kid Rock?

Jay Franze (17:56):
We've already had Kid Rock on this list.
I know Number seven goes to TimMcGraw.

Tiffany Mason (18:03):
Oh, your favorite .
I have nothing against TimMcGraw, oh your favorite.

Jay Franze (18:07):
I have nothing against Tim McGraw.
I just and he admits he'searned my respect by saying he's
not the greatest singer, thathe's a performer.
So he did earn my respect bysaying that, because not
everybody can be the best singerin the world, but he is a good
performer.
He's a great actor I'll givehim that he's a better actor

(18:28):
than he is a country singer, buthe made it as a country singer
first and I love his songs.

Tiffany Mason (18:35):
I really liked him and Faith Hill as a couple,
like I.
Just I think everybody likedwatching them.
You know speculation that theywere a couple and then they got
married and I don't know.
I watching them.

Jay Franze (18:51):
You know speculation that they were a couple and
then they got married and Idon't know.
I think everybody liked it.
I did.
I'm gonna stay off that story.
We're gonna move.
Okay, let's do it.
Yes, there was a lot ofcontroversy over that couple,
how they got together and allthat stuff.
It was a big deal in nashvillefor a while oh, I'm sure it was.
Anyways, moving on, yep Numbersix, blake Shelton.

Tiffany Mason (19:07):
Oh, I can see that one 100%.

Jay Franze (19:10):
Yeah, again.

Tiffany Mason (19:11):
Yeah, because he's doing the shows different
shows and then his what?

Jay Franze (19:20):
They were talking about him on the radio today
that he got fired from the Voice.

Tiffany Mason (19:25):
Oh, he did.

Jay Franze (19:29):
Yeah, they said he couldn't keep his mouth shut.
I didn't realize he got firedfrom the Voice and I don't know
that to be true.
It's just what they said on theradio today.
Yeah, it's probably true.
He seems like a nice guy, buthe does seem like he's
opinionated.

Tiffany Mason (19:44):
Yeah, that's okay , I could see that.

Jay Franze (19:47):
Opinions are good.
Number five Morgan Wallen.

Tiffany Mason (19:55):
Oh, I really like Morgan Wallen but I really am
not impressed with his behavior.
You know, I think oh, I don'tthink I told everybody you and
the crew.
I told you but not the crew Igot the Morgan Wallen three
record vinyl set I don't knowhow you say that for little miss
hannah that worked okay.

Jay Franze (20:13):
Triple vinyl set don't get carried away now for
hannah.

Tiffany Mason (20:19):
she's gonna go see morgan wallen in mi, miami,
with my husband and yeah, itkind of pained me to give money
to I don't know.
I don't know how much more Iwant to say, but it pained me a
little bit.

Jay Franze (20:32):
We're ruining the opinionation.
Part of the show.

Tiffany Mason (20:35):
I said I would read a little bit more.

Jay Franze (20:36):
It says here the.
Dangerous album broke everystreaming record.

Tiffany Mason (20:41):
Oh, wow.

Jay Franze (20:43):
So yeah, Don't surprise me.

Tiffany Mason (20:44):
He's a good singer.
I mean I'll give it to him yeah, again, I like him and I kind
of like his um, like, uh,redneck haircuts that he's
always got like kind of kind ofmullet ish.

Jay Franze (20:55):
Yeah, you know I'm a fan it's kind of like a half
mullet it is, it's not.
He doesn't fully commit doesn'tfully commit in the front or
the back.
He's got a wave that comes downto at least his eyes.

Tiffany Mason (21:10):
Uh-huh yeah.

Jay Franze (21:13):
Apparently, we're giving fashion sense too.
One more thing we just don'thave the credentials to give
opinions on, but you know, hey,why not?

Tiffany Mason (21:22):
Come here for the latest, greatest news and
interviews.

Jay Franze (21:25):
And fashion sense.
Number four I do believe thisperson belongs in the top ten.
Still, I cannot stop saying itGarth Brooks and George Strait
should be at the top of the list.
I don't care which one of thoseyou want to put in the number
one slot, but they should bothbe one and two for sure.
But number four is Eric Church.

Tiffany Mason (21:45):
Oh, look at that.
But number four is Eric Church.

Jay Franze (21:47):
Oh, look at that.
Yeah, I like Eric Church and Ithink Eric Church might just be
in the proper number.

Tiffany Mason (21:55):
Oh, wow.

Jay Franze (21:56):
I think he's probably number four on the list
.

Tiffany Mason (21:58):
What street cred are they giving him?

Jay Franze (22:00):
Well, let's see here .
It says that everybody on thislist has two things in common an
original voice and something tosay From there.
It's just a matter of influenceand innovation.

Tiffany Mason (22:14):
Oh okay.

Jay Franze (22:16):
Well, if everybody on the list has that, what makes
them special?
How do?

Tiffany Mason (22:20):
they decide Right .

Jay Franze (22:23):
It says that he's innovated in every album.
That he has done, from theearly songs straight through to
the later.

Tiffany Mason (22:30):
Okay, well, they're the authority.
We're just simply bashing andcriticizing, Criticizing.
We are criticizing.

Jay Franze (22:40):
Number three, Toby Keith.

Tiffany Mason (22:44):
Oh, hell yeah, yes, okay, I like Toby.

Jay Franze (22:47):
Keith.
Oh, hell, yeah.
Yes, okay, I like Toby Keith.
I got nothing bad to say aboutthe man and I think he deserves
to be in the top 10 for sure.

Tiffany Mason (22:55):
Toby Keith has been on my mind in this list.
I wondered if he was going tomake it, and for me, a lot of it
is his patriotism, yeah, so.

Jay Franze (23:08):
But he's one of those people that you could
understand if he wasn't on thelist.
You could understand why hemight not be, but I think he
deserves to be all right numbertwo chris stapleton most
influential.

Tiffany Mason (23:20):
I mean, I know everybody like the minute that
man came on the scene.
Man, they were smitten.

Jay Franze (23:27):
They said he changed the landscape when he took the
stage with Justin Timberlake inthe 2015 CMA Awards.
He killed bro country.
There you go.
That's his claim to fame.
Is that he killed bro countryyou go.

Tiffany Mason (23:49):
That's it's his claim to fame.
Is that he?

Tony Scott (23:51):
killed.

Jay Franze (23:51):
Pro country was um he on one of the shows american
idol I don't know one of, oh,the country one wasn't on the
country one if he was, I'm notaware of it he was on the
people's sexiest man alive listnow he was says it right there
sexiest man alive list now hewas.

(24:11):
Says it right there 521 weeksafter his release, he's still at
number 13 on the billboardcountry album charts.

Tiffany Mason (24:15):
Oh wow that's amazing.

Jay Franze (24:18):
So, yes, I mean I think talent wise, he deserves
to be on the list if this was atalent list.
Yes, deserves to be on the listIf this was a talent list.

Tiffany Mason (24:25):
Yes, he should be on the list.
It says he was not on any ofthe major singing shows.

Jay Franze (24:30):
If we ever get the opportunity to have Miss Billie
Jo Jones come back on the showwith us, I would like to talk to
her.
She just announced that she isgoing to be on the Road the show
that you brought up.

Tiffany Mason (24:42):
Yes, I was listening to your interview with
her and she was talking, youknow, very um circling around
she was like, yes, I have a lotgoing on January through March.

Tony Scott (24:53):
January through.

Tiffany Mason (24:53):
March, I can't do anything.
And you guys were definitelypoking the bear trying to get
her to admit it and I was like, wait a minute.
I remember seeing she was onthat show, the road and so, yeah
, I think it debuts in Septemberor something if I remember
right.

Jay Franze (25:06):
Yeah, it's coming up , but she just made the
announcement, so it's safe tosay now.

Tiffany Mason (25:10):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (25:11):
But I'm going to watch it now because of Billie.

Tiffany Mason (25:14):
Oh, I'm definitely going to watch it.
I was going to watch it tobegin with.
I was going to watch it beforeI had to.

Jay Franze (25:18):
I'm loyal to our guests, and that's Ms Billie
George-Boss.

Tiffany Mason (25:27):
Oh burn.

Jay Franze (25:30):
All right number one .

Tiffany Mason (25:31):
Okay, number one.

Jay Franze (25:32):
I do believe this man belongs on the list.

Tiffany Mason (25:37):
But not.

Jay Franze (25:37):
But not Number one Top ten.
I would give him Mr KennyChesney.

Tiffany Mason (25:43):
Oh, oh, hmm, that feels disappointing to me.

Jay Franze (25:51):
He seems to be hungry to make country music.

Tiffany Mason (25:54):
What the hell does that mean?
I don't know.

Jay Franze (25:56):
Opening sentence of this article says Kenny Chesney
seems to be hungry to makecountry music.

Tiffany Mason (26:01):
Huh.
Each album is packed withoriginal themes I will say we
went to go see his one of hisconcerts and his stage set was
amazing.
I mean it had half of a half ofa plane or a whole plane anyway
.

Jay Franze (26:19):
I mean it was a prop , clearly, but it was very
impressive the amount of workthat went into his set for his
concert I think, if we want to Imean, I think he's country
music for sure, but we want tohe's brought that whole beach
feel into country music.

Tiffany Mason (26:36):
He's like the new Jimmy Buffett Right.

Jay Franze (26:38):
That's exactly what he is, I mean, but it's the
Jimmy Buffett of country music.
So I think that's an influenceand it's a unique thing.
I don't think there's anybodyelse doing anything like him.
Again, I don't think he's thebest singer in the world.
He's good, if not best, friendswith Tim McGraw, so I think
maybe that's something they havein common that neither one of

(27:00):
them are the best singers in theworld.
They just know how to spin itand make it work, which is a
talent all within itself.

Tiffany Mason (27:08):
Anyway, there you go.
Congratulations to those on thelist Well, Jelly Roll and the
Rock, I mean you guys.

Jay Franze (27:18):
I think I had a jelly roll for dessert tonight.

Tiffany Mason (27:20):
Not the same jelly roll, the rock, I mean you
guys.

Jay Franze (27:21):
I guess these guys roll for dessert tonight, not
the same jelly roll, not thesame, I hope not sorry so that's
okay.

Tiffany Mason (27:28):
So jelly roll and duane the rock johnson have
been texting for almost a decadenow.
After phone calls and texting, they finally got to meet in
person.
Needless to say, it was a longtime coming.

Jay Franze (27:42):
So he swiped right.

Tiffany Mason (27:45):
I was thinking, you know he's doing all these
collaborations and I was like, okay, this is a different kind
of collaboration.
I don't want to know what kindof collaboration it is.

Jay Franze (27:56):
I don't want to know what kind of collaboration.

Tiffany Mason (27:57):
It is, they're friends, okay.
Zach Topp we talked about himwith Miss Scarlet.
She was fun to have on the showhe has.
Well, he has.
We know he's earned his first INever Lie, which I love, that
song.
He's earned his first I NeverLie, sorry, his first number one
hit with this song I Never Lie,there you go.

(28:19):
I was so excited to say what Ithought about the song.
The sentence structure wasn'twasn't we never claim to be the
best at this job we just do ityes, well, he had an interview
on taste of country nights andhe spoke about how he and his

(28:39):
music have evolved ever sincetopping the charts, which is
kind of funny to me, or has mescratching my head because it
hasn't been that long, no.
So how much changed in the lastsix months or three months?

Jay Franze (28:53):
he's been around a little bit longer than that, I'm
sure, but nonetheless he's.
He's had a hell of an impact.

Tiffany Mason (28:59):
I never lie.
The song hasn't yeah, and he'ssaying he's evolved Ever since
his song has Chopped the charts.

Jay Franze (29:07):
Yeah, give him another six months.
He'll be on that other list.
Top 25 Most influential, he'llprobably knock.

Tony Scott (29:13):
George.

Jay Franze (29:13):
Strait off the list, just saying I gotta see the
butt Nice.

Tiffany Mason (29:20):
Does he too wear Wranglers?
I'm sure he does.

Jay Franze (29:23):
Everybody in country music seems to.
We went to the CMA Fest andevery clothing booth there had
Wranglers in it.
It was like Western world.

Tiffany Mason (29:34):
Well, I mean, given the landscape of where we
were, it doesn't mean you haveto follow every piece of it.
Right, okay.
Well, mr Jason Aldean, who wason our list.
He is giving himself anultimatum.
He has tried golf and if hedoes not get better at it, he's

(29:55):
just going to quit playing italtogether.
So he's given himself sixmonths.

Jay Franze (30:00):
If that's the case, he's going to quit, because I'll
tell you.
It takes forever to get betterat golf, and six months is not
enough time.

Tiffany Mason (30:08):
Right, I'll tell you what Mr Mason.
He can hit that ball like 320yards consistently.
Oh, golf, okay, why didn't youjust want to make sure?
No, that sentence endsdifferently, like 320 yards
consistently.

Jay Franze (30:18):
Oh, golf, okay.
Why Do you just want to makesure, no.

Tiffany Mason (30:20):
That sentence ends differently, Jay, if we're
talking about other things.

Jay Franze (30:25):
Enter Sandman.

Tiffany Mason (30:31):
I don't know what you're talking about.

Jay Franze (30:33):
Neither do I.

Tiffany Mason (30:35):
I know you don't know what you're talking about.

Jay Franze (30:36):
Move it on, okay, okay.

Tony Scott (30:37):
Well, Mr Tim.

Tiffany Mason (30:37):
McGraw, who we what you're talking about.
Move it on, okay, okay.
Well, mr Tim McGraw, who wetalked about, he's got a new
look, he's got a new accessoryon the date that he had with his
wife, faith Hill, recently.

Jay Franze (30:47):
Oh, I thought there was going to be a new Faith Hill
.

Tiffany Mason (30:51):
No, it was.
Do you know?

Jay Franze (30:54):
I believe it was what we would call a walking
stick.

Tiffany Mason (30:59):
It was also known as a cane, because I guess he
had some back surgery.

Jay Franze (31:05):
He's got to be like the bionic man by now.

Tiffany Mason (31:08):
I was just going to say that you took the words
out of my mouth.

Jay Franze (31:11):
I guess he's had a double knee, replacement rotator
cuff and more he can't walkthrough the metal detectors at
the airport anymore, but he'sgoing to stick with his music
career because he can't doanything else anymore, all right
.

Tiffany Mason (31:31):
Well, the next story is mr morgan wallen, and
he is helping christian singerann wilson in her grief.
Christian singer Ann Wilson isset to open for country hit
maker Morgan Wallen during hisI'm the Problem tour in July and
August.
Ooh, I wonder if Hannah's goingto get to see her.
Ooh, that's exciting.
Okay, although this will be herfirst time performing with

(31:53):
Wallen, her adoration for hisartistry hits deep for Wilson.
His music was what got herthrough her brother Jacob's
passing.
He was killed in a car accidentin 2017.
Oof, mm-hmm.

Jay Franze (32:06):
Yeah, no, that's just again sad.
I don't like the sad stories.

Tony Scott (32:12):
I don't want you to have a sad song.

Tiffany Mason (32:15):
I know, I know I'm sorry.
I don't want to make you sad,but you want me to lift your
spirits.

Jay Franze (32:21):
Oh, please lift my spirits.

Tiffany Mason (32:22):
Okay.

Jay Franze (32:27):
I like that.

Tiffany Mason (32:28):
Oh my God.
Okay, post Malone was inGlendale Arizona on June 21st
for his big A stadium tour andhe hit the local dive bar while
he was there.
I guess that he was generousagain.
We mentioned it aroundchristmas time.
I believe that he had given awaitress a very large generous
tip and he has done it again, left a big tip for everyone to

(32:53):
pay their bills.
So nice.
He's the man.

Jay Franze (32:58):
I'll give it to him Again.
I don't necessarily know ifhe's the best singer in the
world.

Tiffany Mason (33:05):
He's like collabing with other artists and
he's collabing with, like,america.
Post Malone should be on therefor most influential because he
has such a unique voice with theI don't know.
What do you call it?
What do you call a fast vibrato?
You call that anything?
Okay, we've got that reallyfast vibrato.

(33:26):
And then he went from like, Iguess, hip hop or R&B or
something I don't know, and thenhe came over to country and
then he's been doing all thesecollaborations and he, when he's
in the bar, he'll just sit downand play with the people and
he's giving these amazing tipsto just everyday Americans.
I mean, why wasn't Post Maloneon that list, jeepers?

Jay Franze (33:49):
That's true, it just hasn't been enough time.

Tiffany Mason (33:52):
Excuse me, some people that were on there I know
.

Jay Franze (33:55):
I agree with your theory.
Excuse me Some people that wereon there.
I know I agree with your theory.

Tiffany Mason (33:57):
I'm just saying I mean, I think we need to write
into those people who made thatlist, we do.

Jay Franze (34:00):
We need to do that.

Tiffany Mason (34:01):
I like that you said when you introduced it that
you thought it was kind offunny.
And it is kind of funny.

Jay Franze (34:06):
It is kind of funny.

Tony Scott (34:07):
Not.
Ha-ha, funny Ha-ha.

Tiffany Mason (34:09):
No, it's like F-U funny.

Jay Franze (34:12):
Gotcha, according to the story, that the average
person's bills are $5,000 permonth.
Oh and Post.

Tony Scott (34:26):
Malone left $70,000.

Jay Franze (34:28):
Wow.

Tiffany Mason (34:36):
For 15 people 15 employees got bills paid for one
month $69,615.

Jay Franze (34:40):
Wow, that's pretty amazing.
That, I say, at least puts himat the top of the nice guy list
for sure.

Tiffany Mason (34:45):
Except for if we're in a dive bar.
Did the bar fly also get hisbills paid, or did his tab just
get paid off?
Did the lot lizard get herbills paid off?

Jay Franze (34:57):
I don't know you about it.
He just essentially walked in.
There's probably 15 employeesworking.
He gave them all five grandeach.

Tiffany Mason (35:05):
Lucky day that's the day I go buy my lottery
ticket.

Jay Franze (35:10):
Nice.

Tiffany Mason (35:11):
I mean, I guess it feels like you already won
the lottery, so maybe you wouldtake it for granted.
I'd try to double down.
You know what I'm saying.
Nice, okay, the lottery, so youmaybe would take it for granted
, but I'd try to double down, you know I'm saying okay.
Well, mr willie nelson, he wason tour and they were hit by a

(35:31):
storm june 29th.
They were in missouri.
Toppled trees, dumped heavyrain during the outlaw music
festival.
It wrecked the gear and itforced cancellation of willie n
July 1st show in El Reno.
Thankfully, nelson's belovedguitar Trigger was unharmed.
Organizers issued refunds andconfirmed the July 4th picnic in
Austin will proceed as planned.

Tony Scott (35:53):
Alright.

Jay Franze (35:54):
Don't want to put any bad luck out there, but man,
he's old to be still playing.

Tiffany Mason (36:00):
What did we say last week?

Jay Franze (36:01):
162 or something.

Tiffany Mason (36:05):
Yes, I think that's what it was.
Okay, so Beyonce was in thenews.

Jay Franze (36:13):
Sorry, what?
I don't quite know, if I heardyou correctly.

Tiffany Mason (36:20):
Okay.
Well, beyonce was in the newsand if they have top 25 most
influential women, she best benot on that list.
Okay, that's all I've got tosay.
Okay, but the person who was onthe news story was Gavin Adcock
.
He was criticizing Beyonce'sGrammy winning album, cowboy

(36:43):
Carter, and claiming that itain't country and undermines
longtime country artists.
He later softened his tongue, expressing respect for her
achievements and I thought thiswas so funny.
Okay.
So, however, this was copiedand pasted into our document.
Achievements is underlined inred.

(37:04):
Like it's an error, and Ilaughed so hard inside my little
heart.
Right, her achievements.
Laughable, but anyway, nice.

Jay Franze (37:18):
Nice.

Tiffany Mason (37:21):
No, she has done some good things and I did like
her song, even though I don'tknow.
It didn't feel country to meand there's still controversy.

Jay Franze (37:30):
She's one of the best singers in the world.
I'll give it to her.
And her music is fine.
It's just not country music tome.

Tiffany Mason (37:36):
Yeah, yeah, well, I sent you the article.
She actually was performingsome songs from the cowboy
carter album during her concertand she comes down on this car
and she's got a harness on,thank god, because she's like in
the middle of getting ready tostart the song, or in the middle
of the song, and all of asudden she's like stop, stop,

(37:56):
stop.
Like the car is stuck midair,it's not coming down and she's
just stuck there.

Jay Franze (38:02):
So it also started to tip.

Tiffany Mason (38:04):
Yeah, yeah.

Jay Franze (38:06):
It was like the car was going to fall.

Tiffany Mason (38:09):
Which I never thought of it, but thank God
that they do look out for theartist and she was in a harness.
So worst case scenario, and shewas in a harness.
So, worst case scenario, although I also thought about
all those fans under that car, Iwas like, oh crap, I hope it's
made out of styrofoam because, yeah, that was that was not good

(38:31):
, all right.
Well, mr shoozy, he is making avideo for the song Home and he
backed up traffic a little bit.
So it says Shaboozy and Dallasrapper Big I don't know X the
Plug released a visuallystriking new video for their
single Home.
It was shot in the MargaretHunt Hill Bridge during peak

(38:55):
rush hour.
Why would you pick peak rushhour?
Maybe because the sun issetting.
Like what kind of a d-bag areyou?
anyways, you wanted cars wantedit to look like it was traffic I
guess the filming shut down thelanes and caused major gridlock
, featuring shots of frustrateddrivers, including newlywed
couples, caught in the backup.

(39:15):
Like what does it matter if anewlywed couple was like your
newlyweds, make the best of itenters in man oh my gosh, I'm
never gonna live that down.
I'm never gonna live that down.

Jay Franze (39:30):
Nope, I will stop being honest no, no, that's the
best part of this.

Tiffany Mason (39:39):
I know I'm the kind of person like if my mouth
doesn't say it, my face will.
So you would know if I waslying.
I'm a terrible liar.
I get really nervous to lie too.
You got to stop now Too manylefts that can be taken, Okay,

(40:02):
Well, last thing to talk aboutis Darius Rucker.
He is teasing a new album.
Darius Rucker revealed plansfor a new album inspired by his
recent move to London.
I almost like fell off my chairwhen I read that because I was
like how are you going to be aNashville artist but live in
London?
Anyway, he's going to bebringing a quote unquote
different flavor to his music.
He also is launching in 2025, atour starting July 10th.

(40:24):
He continues his ventures inthe wine business.
So was he on our list?
He was on the list, right.

Jay Franze (40:31):
Yes.

Tiffany Mason (40:31):
Yeah, so when you mentioned that, I was thinking
of Hootie and the Blowfish.
Then he turns to country music.
Now he's gone to London andhe's putting a new flair on
country, and he's also in thewine business.

Jay Franze (40:47):
Laying a few stakes out there.

Tiffany Mason (40:49):
I think so Give it to him.
Good for him, diversifying hisinterests.

Jay Franze (40:52):
You mentioned the move to London and, right now,
nashville.
It's probably the most growingcity in the country.
Right now People are comingfrom California to avoid done
all the taxes, but it's anentertainment place.
A lot of the actors are movingto Tennessee and to the.

Tony Scott (41:09):
Nashville area and all that.

Jay Franze (41:11):
But what makes it funny to me is a lot of the
country artists are now buyinghouses outside of Nashville.

Tony Scott (41:18):
I don't blame them.

Jay Franze (41:20):
I mean it is getting congested.
I know I left because it wasgetting congested, and when I
say congested, I'm not talkingabout a little bit, I'm talking
about a massive amount ofcongestion.
What used?
To be a 10 minute drive to getyourself into downtown nashville
is now 40 minutes to an houryeah, it just becomes where it's
just not worth it.

Tiffany Mason (41:39):
I mean that drive up to nashville when we got
stuck in atlanta and I justthought like how does this ever
happen?
How, like you couldn't getenough roads.
At one point there were sevenlanes in just the direction I
was going, so there were five orsix on the other side to match
and I thought, oh my gosh, there's so many, so many people

(42:00):
here, so many cars, like I don'tunderstand it.
It was funny because we were inthe traffic and then Hannah
looks at me and she goes mom, what causes traffic?
Because isn't everybody tryingto do the same thing, like go
the same direction or, you know, get to where they're going?
And I said, yes, hannah, it's avery perplexing question that I
think we've all had at somepoint, like we're all trying to

(42:23):
go as fast as we can in the samedirection.
So how is it getting so backedup, or whatever?
It's very frustrating.

Jay Franze (42:30):
Well, maybe because shibuzi is shibuzi's doing
videos, stoplights, I mean.
There's all sorts of issues, all right.
Moving on question of the day.

Tiffany Mason (42:41):
Ooh, here we go.

Jay Franze (42:43):
Yeah, see, Now it's all about the men tonight, so
maybe next week we can make itall about the women.

Tony Scott (42:49):
But who are as it should be.
Yes, that's why we saved themfor last.
It's the best for last.

Jay Franze (42:55):
You are not going to disappoint me by saying women
are better than men.
I've been saying that my wholelife, anyway.

Tiffany Mason (43:02):
Gosh, you're like the smartest man in the room.
Yeah, tell that to my wife.

Jay Franze (43:07):
All right, who are the most underrated male
vocalists in country music?
Who are the most underrated, underrated, I'll say it again
the most underrated malevocalists in country music.

Tiffany Mason (43:21):
Is it Yosemite, sam?
I say, I say, I say, say thatagain.

Jay Franze (43:27):
We have taken a left .
Chris says Joe Nichols.
Okay, a smooth, classic tone, yet he never gets the credit
that he deserves vocally.

Tiffany Mason (43:38):
I agree, starting off strong.
Starting off strong, I like it.
Thank you, chris.
I agree, joe Nich.
Strong.
Starting off strong, I like it.
That was a strong, thank you.

Jay Franze (43:43):
Chris, I agree.
Joe Nichols Very good Jessicasays.
Gary Allen, that raspyemotional voice can break your
heart in one line.

Tiffany Mason (43:54):
I will tell you Gary Allen is one of the few
people that when his songs comeon, I turn the channel.

Jay Franze (44:02):
Jessica, send your hate mail to Tiffany at
JFrenzycom.

Tiffany Mason (44:07):
I still love you, Jessica.

Jay Franze (44:09):
Michael says Tracy Bird, a smooth traditional voice
.
He wasn't on that list, was he?

Tiffany Mason (44:15):
No, isn't that who I sent you the song.

Jay Franze (44:17):
Tracy Bird Watermelon Crawl.
Samantha says Easton Corbin.
Samantha says Easton CorbinCorbin, easton Corbin.

Tiffany Mason (44:31):
Easton Corbin.

Jay Franze (44:32):
I'll wait till you stop laughing at me, then I'll
read her comment.
He carries that great GeorgeStrait tone.
See George Strait.
The See George Strait.
The comparison to George Strait.

Tiffany Mason (44:46):
Who should have been number one or two Number?

Jay Franze (44:48):
one or two.

Tiffany Mason (44:49):
I think one, because isn't he older than
Garth Brooks, so maybe he hadlike some influence on Garth
Brooks.

Jay Franze (44:54):
I'm sure that's probably the case.
The only reason why I would sayGarth Brooks is because he
brought the world back tocountry music oh okay, country
music was failing miserablyuntil garth brooks came along
and he single-handedly put thatspotlight back on country music

(45:15):
and it boomed like nobody'sbusiness now, I do love Friends
in Low Places because it's mydad and I song.

Tiffany Mason (45:24):
But my really favorite Garth Brooks song is
Standing Outside the Fire.
I get so fired up hearing thatsong, yeah.

Jay Franze (45:33):
They both endless amounts of good songs out of
those two.

Tiffany Mason (45:35):
Oh yeah, oh yeah.

Jay Franze (45:37):
All right, moving on .
Robert, says Josh Turner.

Tiffany Mason (45:41):
Ooh yeah, Everyone says Josh Turner.

Jay Franze (45:43):
Ooh, yeah, Everyone knows the deep voice but his
control and smoothness are trulyworld-class.

Tiffany Mason (45:53):
He does have a good, nice, thick, rich, full
deep voice.
Oh, thank you for finishingthat sentence I always finish
Jay, you're lucky, you're lucky.

Jay Franze (46:07):
My wife complains all the time.
Landon says Rodney Atkins Okay.

Tiffany Mason (46:15):
I gotta look up something he sings.
I don't know, nothing's comingto mind.

Jay Franze (46:19):
Amber says Daryl Worley.

Tiffany Mason (46:22):
Oh yeah.

Jay Franze (46:23):
Deep, rich voice, powered with emotion.

Tiffany Mason (46:26):
I think he has good storylines.

Jay Franze (46:28):
Mason says Clay Walker.
His vocal ability and tone areunmatched.
Ava says Phil Vassar.
I think that Ava is followinginstructions with most
underrated, but anyways.
Ava says phil vasser.
Phil's vasser is an amazingsongwriter, an amazing piano

(46:49):
player and does not get thecredit he deserves as a vocalist
.
I would say that for sure.
She says he has an amazingrange and warmth.
All right, alright, nathan, Ithink you're wrong.
But he says Kenny Chesney.
I don't think Kenny Chesney's avocalist.

Tiffany Mason (47:10):
I think he's just middle of the road.

Jay Franze (47:12):
I think his charisma is what gets him.
I don't think it's his vocaltalent.
Olivia says Clint Black.
I like Clint Black a lot.

Tiffany Mason (47:25):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (47:26):
And you know who's out with Clint Black right now
Andy Hall.
Anyways you're.

Tiffany Mason (47:34):
I was going to say Andy Warhol and I knew that
was wrong, but I knew I was soclose, Andy Warhol.

Jay Franze (47:39):
He used to be out with your guy there.

Tiffany Mason (47:42):
Lee Greenwood Lee .

Jay Franze (47:42):
Greenwood.
Lee Greenwood, yeah, but he'sout with Clint Black right now
Awesome.
I would have liked to have seenhim with Lee Greenwood, because
his son was also out, I believe, playing guitar.
At the same time, derek saysVince Gill oh, come on,
underrated.
I think everybody loves VinceGill and another amazing guitar

(48:03):
player.

Tiffany Mason (48:04):
Oh yeah, I love that you know their additional
talents, because I don't knowNot all of their additional
talents?

Jay Franze (48:11):
I don't know if they played piano, or Amy's not
telling me about his talents.
Yeah, finn Skill is awesome.
He's a great singer and greatguitar player.
His guitar playing is right upthere with Keith Urban.

Tiffany Mason (48:26):
I was just going to say Interesting.

Jay Franze (48:30):
Emily John Michael Montgomery.
Man, that man's got a voice.
Yeah, bradley says TracyLawrence, tl's Roadhouse.
I was listening to TL'sRoadhouse today.
Tl's Roadhouse is a great,great show.

Tiffany Mason (48:44):
Do you know, ever since I told you I listened to
Paint Me a Birmingham, I have tolisten to it almost every day.
I do not know what it is aboutthat song, but I gotta keep
listening to it, mr TracyLawrence.

Jay Franze (48:59):
Miss Dina says Aaron Lewis.

Tiffany Mason (49:03):
I don't know, aaron Lewis.

Jay Franze (49:04):
Aaron Lewis, the lead singer of the band Stained,
has moved over to the country, world Another raspy powerful
voice, definitely heavy smoker.
That adds to that, for sure.

Tiffany Mason (49:17):
Ooh, I like that sound.

Jay Franze (49:19):
Yeah, all right, let's see here, dave says John
Prine.

Tiffany Mason (49:27):
I don't know who that is.

Jay Franze (49:29):
You've got some homework to do now.
Hunter says Scotty McCreary.

Tiffany Mason (49:36):
Love, scotty McCreary Love.
Do you remember when he was onAmerican Idol and he would do
that weird thing with his headand they were telling him to fix
it?

Tony Scott (49:46):
I don't remember that?

Tiffany Mason (49:47):
Oh yeah, he definitely finally fixed it, but
he used to always do this likecorny little thing with his head
all the time and they were likeno, I think Paula Abdul was on
the show at the time and she waslike no, you got to fix that.
You got to look in the mirrorwhen you're performing.
You can't keep doing that Ilike him.

Jay Franze (50:03):
I like him a lot.
I got to see him open up forbrooks and dunn.

Tiffany Mason (50:08):
He did a great job I would love to see him
lawrence's lee brice powerhousevocals, raw emotion, completely
underrated technically.

Jay Franze (50:21):
Completely underrated technically.
I've had an opportunity to workwith in the studio several
times and I will tell you, theman can sing so definitely
differently good.

Tiffany Mason (50:31):
Not only that, but he's also a great songwriter
how much I'm envisioning goinginto the studio and somebody's
going to record a song and Ienvision them, like you know,
seeing the first three words andsomething gets screwed up.
So then they start over againand they get the first 15 words
right and then something happensand then they start over and

(50:53):
they sing it again.
So I feel like if I was workingright, like I would want the, I
would treat it like maybe asmall concert for myself, right
like a concert for one, and thenI would be frustrated or
disappointed that they had tokeep starting the song over
again.
But then I would also beexcited because, again,

(51:16):
listening to Billy Joe'sinterview, she said that she
from time to time can go in,sing it one time through and
done.
So how often is one and done?
How often does that happen andhow often does the scenario I
was kind of explaining play out?

Jay Franze (51:32):
When I produce a record, the way I like to do it
is I like the person to sing itfrom start to finish, no matter
how good or bad, just sing itfrom start to finish and get in
the groove.
Because if every time you stop avocalist and say, all right,
let's go ahead and try that oneagain, you're deflating them a
little bit at a time.
So let the person sing it fromstart to finish and then go

(51:55):
ahead and say, all right, let'sgo ahead and do it one more time
.
And I usually like to do threetakes, and out of those three
takes I'm going for the rawemotion of it all.
So I then comp together thosethree, the three that were done
from start to finish.
So maybe you know and I alsodon't like to just replace a
word I have and I will if it'sneeded, but what I would prefer

(52:19):
to do is say, okay, on take two,the first verse as a whole was
better, and then on take one,the chorus was good, and then
you're mixing and matching wholesections at a time, so it
sounds natural when you listento it back.
What you're running a risk ofis, when you replace maybe just

(52:39):
a word or two, that it doesn'tfit in or doesn't sound the same
, or it sounds out of place, ormaybe even the wrong tone well,
I'm thinking of podcast editing.

Tiffany Mason (52:49):
right, like if something goes wrong, I would
prefer to replace the entiresentence, because when you
replace one word, they can belike super excited one day, or
the room tonality is different, and then they go in that second
day and they say it and then youtry to put it in there and it's
like sticks out like a sorethumb.

Jay Franze (53:04):
Yeah, there's also lots of variables when a singer
has to come back on a differentday.
So I like to just get the fullperformance out and then go
ahead and do it two or threetimes.
Tops that Matty McCree record Iplayed for you.

Tony Scott (53:19):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (53:20):
He recorded it from start to finish, twice Every
song, and he nailed it, so Iwill give him credit.

Tiffany Mason (53:30):
Wow.

Jay Franze (53:30):
Alright, and credit to Lee Bryce.
Alright, let's go ahead andstart censoring.
Luke says Joe Diffie.
Brittany says Chris Young.
I like Chris Young.
Joe Diffie was great too.
I forgot about Joe DiffieBrittany says Chris Young.

Tiffany Mason (53:43):
I like Chris Young.
Joe Diffie was great too.
I forgot about Joe Diffie, yeah.

Jay Franze (53:45):
Emily says Billy Dean.

Tiffany Mason (53:47):
Billy Dean Sean says John Barry.

Jay Franze (53:52):
That man's voice could stop traffic.
Oh, maybe that's where thevideo is coming from Maybe John
Barry knows Shabuzy.
Get another vote for Tracy Bird.
Paul says Tracy Bird.
Melanie says Neil McCoy.
Chad says Craig Morgan.

(54:14):
Ooh, Craig Morgan.

Tiffany Mason (54:16):
I like Craig Morgan.

Jay Franze (54:17):
One of my students went out and became his engineer
.
Oh, wow.
I listened to God's Countrytoday God's Country podcast and
they did an interview with CraigMorgan and that man just earned
all the respect in the worldout of me from that interview.

Tiffany Mason (54:34):
Oh, wow.

Jay Franze (54:35):
He just seemed like just a nice guy.
They barely talked about musicat all.

Tiffany Mason (54:41):
It was just hunting and everything else that
they do yeah, playing videogames, stupid stuff but he just,
he's just a down-to-earthperson so I know that, like you,
could be the worst person andsing like the coolest song or
the most meaningful song orwhatever right.
So it's not necessarily adirect reflection of the artist,
but I do love that's what Ilove about Sundays and he sings

(55:04):
that.

Jay Franze (55:05):
Yeah, another vote for Phil Vassar by Tyler Dylan
says Wade Hayes.
Rebecca says Aaron Tippin.

Tony Scott (55:14):
Hmm.

Jay Franze (55:16):
All right, let's see if we can end on a strong one.
Mike says Daryl Singletary.
Didn't we already say him?
Oh, here's one.

Tony Scott (55:21):
We're going to end on this strong one, mike says
Daryl Singletary.

Jay Franze (55:22):
Didn't we already say him?
Oh, here's one.
We're going to end on this one.

Tiffany Mason (55:25):
Lacey says That'll be good.

Jay Franze (55:27):
Zane Williams.

Tiffany Mason (55:30):
Jay, you got some splainin' to do, you've got
some splainin' to do.

Jay Franze (55:34):
You don't know, zane Williams, zane Williams.
I met him a long time ago, whenhe was just starting, but he's
very, very good, very goodsongwriter, very good performer,
very good singer.
Check him out.
Give you a little bit morehomework to do.

Tiffany Mason (55:51):
Okay.
Well, styx is gearing up torelease their 18th album,
Circling From Above, on July18th, marking the band's
continued creative surge.

Jay Franze (56:02):
I like Styx.
I've always liked Styx.
Too much time continuedcreative search I like Styx.
I've always liked Styx.
Too much time on my hands, Ilike Styx too.

Tiffany Mason (56:08):
And this lady the other day.
We have like a little curbalert thing.
I don't know if you have thatin your area, but they're called
curb alerts here.
Everybody puts their crap out.
You can drive by their houseand pick it up.
And she had Queen and sticksand the post.
Normally, like within the firsthalf hour, somebody will claim

(56:29):
the items, right, this was likenine minutes and I was like, oh,
I want those vinyls.
And I sent her like a privatemessage and I was like I can be
there at 10 30 today, this islike nine o'clock.
So it wasn't.
It wasn't like it was gonnatake me very long and so usually
like if you can pick up fast, that's, that's the seals, the
deal.
I was like, oh my gosh, oh mygosh, she's like sorry, they're

(56:52):
already um claimed.
And I thought, yeah, right, oneof your friends text you and
said give me those records.
I was so bummed.
I was like, oh, sticks andqueen.
Like oh, I just thought it wasmy lucky day, but it wasn't it
wasn't, it wasn't sticks greatband, nonetheless all right.

(57:13):
Deftones teased their 10th albumprivate music during a london
show, displaying visuals hintingat a july 10th release.
Much speculation is buildingaround this surprise debut.

Jay Franze (57:27):
Never been the biggest Deftones fan, but my
daughter.

Tiffany Mason (57:30):
I don't know them .

Jay Franze (57:30):
My daughter Bella, for some reason loves them.

Tiffany Mason (57:34):
Bella's cooler than me.
She knows more music than me,probably because you're her dad,
but I think Bella's cooler thanme.

Jay Franze (57:40):
I'm not introducing her to these bands.

Tiffany Mason (57:43):
Oh.
She found that on Reddit she iscooler than you, then she is
definitely cooler than me.

Jay Franze (57:47):
We went to an actual physical record store the other
day and we went through and shewas pointing out bands and
she's like, oh, I like this one,or here's a good one.
And I'm like, really, how doyou know these people?

Tiffany Mason (58:03):
I mean, unless they're playing songs on TikTok.
How do you know these people?
I was just going to say I feellike they get a lot of exposure
from TikTok and TikTok.
I just have so much socialmedia already begging for my
attention to add one moreplatform.
I don't have it in me.

Jay Franze (58:16):
I just don't have it in me.
Tiktok's addictive.
I'll tell you that.
Yeah, I just I can't.

Tiffany Mason (58:18):
I'll tell you that, yeah, I just I can't.
I don't have the time for it.
I have a lot of time for TV.
You know you have no time forTV it's probably because you
make a lot of time for TikTok.
I got no time for TikTok.

Jay Franze (58:30):
No, uh-uh, I do social media once a day.

Tiffany Mason (58:34):
Oh.

Jay Franze (58:36):
That's when I go to bed.
When my day is over and I go tobed, I spend about an hour
doing my social media and then Ican't do it.
I've got too many things allday long.
My wife works me to death.
I'm telling you, she works meto death.
She wants me to go out and makemoney.
She says something about shelikes to eat.
I don't know what that means.

Tiffany Mason (58:59):
Demanding wife yeah, all right, food fighters,
food.
I think I said yeah.

Jay Franze (59:05):
All right, food fighters, food I think I said
food, food fighters.
My wife is a food fighter andshe wins.
Oh my gosh, she's theheavyweight champion.
Okay, I think she's at 300pounds now, I don't know.

Tiffany Mason (59:21):
No, she is.
She's not Foo Fighters.
Come full circle with today'ssong to mark 30th anniversary.

Jay Franze (59:30):
What song is it?

Tiffany Mason (59:31):
Full circle with today's song.

Jay Franze (59:34):
Yeah, but what song is it?
Is it going to be a differentone tomorrow?
I don't know this song iscalled Today's.
Song.

Tiffany Mason (59:44):
Yeah, yeah.

Jay Franze (59:46):
Foo Fighters that's another one.
My daughter loves Foo Fighters.
That's the only one out of allthe bands she seems to like that
I can get behind.
The rest of them I canappreciate in like Deftones and
stuff.
I can appreciate that stuff.
It just doesn't do anything forme.
But Foo Fighters yeah, thatstarted into my world.

Tiffany Mason (01:00:06):
Okay, just for everybody who's listening.
So the way I read that sentencewas very poor.
And it's saying that that songis marking their 30th
anniversary, but the word Markhas a capital letter on it.
So that is what confused memarking their 30th anniversary,
but the word Mark has a capitalletter on it, so that is what

(01:00:27):
confused me.
You feel like you have toexplain yourself.
No, no, I wanted them to walkaway understanding what the heck
I was talking about, because Ibasically just said all the
words that were there, but notin any sentence form that made
any sense.
So I looked at it again whileyou were talking was like what
did I just do there?
And it is because the m has acapital, so it threw me off, but

(01:00:51):
it is marking their 30thanniversary there you go that
one slipped by.
That one got past me.
All right.
Judas priest has released apowerful new cover of war pigs
as a tribute to their friends inblack sabbath nice you gotta

(01:01:11):
speak to this because I ain'tgot nothing here black sabbath,
the original band that inventedheavy metal.

Jay Franze (01:01:19):
War pigs Pigs was their big song, one of their big
songs, and they not onlycreated the heavy metal sound,
but part of the sound came fromthe guitar player cut off a
piece of his finger so he stillplayed guitar, but when it came
to holding the strings down, ithurt.
So, he had to loosen thestrings up and it was very dark

(01:01:41):
and ominous sounding.
So that's how all that started.

Tiffany Mason (01:01:45):
Oh interesting.

Jay Franze (01:01:45):
They get Ozzy Osbourne and they're doing that
last hurrah.
The band is getting togetherfor the last time and that will
support Ozzy Osbourne'sdocumentary that's coming out.
Oh, so there's a lot to tie inthere.

Tiffany Mason (01:01:59):
Yes, wow, jam-packed in that one little
sentence.

Tony Scott (01:02:04):
There you go.

Tiffany Mason (01:02:06):
Jeepers.
Okay, big J Oakerson, that'swho you went to go see, is that
correct?

Jay Franze (01:02:12):
That is correct, he is awesome.

Tiffany Mason (01:02:16):
Well, his crowd work has a storied history.
As a part of the standup scene,it's always been a way to
engage with the crowd in a funway where they will know that
moment is unique to that set.
I think that is what makescrowd work so fun is knowing
that like it's not rehearsed.
I guess it's kind of likeimprov, although I hate improv,

(01:02:38):
but it's kind of like improv butmuch funnier.

Jay Franze (01:02:41):
Oh yeah, and he is the master.
He is awesome.
I know Matt Reif gets a lot ofcredit for crowd work, but I've
seen both of them.
I will tell you, hands down, big Jay is just leaps and bounds
better at this point.
They both can do the entireshow of just crowd work.

Tiffany Mason (01:03:00):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (01:03:00):
But Big Jay doesn't miss.
He just doesn't miss.
He's really really good at andhe's got a lot of experience.
We talked about the experienceof Matt Rife.
He's, you know, in a few moreyears that man will be.
I mean, he's great now, but ina few more years, when he has
the experience behind him.
Yeah, he's going to be, he'sjust going to be unstoppable.

(01:03:23):
But Big Jay's already at theunstoppable point.
Now, whether or not you likehis humor is a different story.
I mean it's, it's pretty,pretty bad but I love it,
raunchy or dark.
Raunchy, yeah, or dark, yeah,it just depends on the crowd,
because what happens a lot is,it starts by him singling

(01:03:45):
somebody out in the crowd andtalking to them.

Tiffany Mason (01:03:48):
Sure.

Jay Franze (01:03:48):
What do you do for a living or that type of thing?
And when you come up withwhatever you do.
He's got to think off of that.
So it could quickly go eitherraunchy or dark.
When it goes.
It's not like a gradualtransition.
Just right, right to the pointI mean the very the opening
comments could be the darkest orraunchiest thing you've heard.

(01:04:11):
So, like when I saw him, thevery first person he singled out
was this girl with huge boobs,oh yeah.
But it was because her husbandhad a shirt that said I love
boobs, right?
So the whole said I love boobsRight.
So the whole conversationstarted off about boobs.

Tiffany Mason (01:04:27):
Well, and I mean, he was playing his cards, right
.
Right, he got to talk to thehot chick in the room and, you
know, made his money, so goodfor him it was very good Very
very good.
No opportunity missed there,you go.

Jay Franze (01:04:41):
But yeah, I'm a big fan of his.
I watch all of his video clipsDefinitely a big fan.
I watch them over and oversometimes because they pop up in
your feed over and over again.

Tiffany Mason (01:04:50):
Yeah, and you're like I don't know it's Big Jay,
it's going to be funny.

Jay Franze (01:04:53):
It's funny again.
I saw it last night, but it'sfunny again tonight.

Tiffany Mason (01:04:58):
I get it so like you're Jay, and that's big J.

Jay Franze (01:05:02):
Okay, I'm definitely not big J, my wife will tell
you that.

Tiffany Mason (01:05:11):
Oh my gosh.
It's good to know your place inthis world.
Do you remember when I told yousometimes what you say reminds
me of my dad no yeah that was itright there that's my goal is
to remind women of their dad.

Jay Franze (01:05:32):
I look for the ones with with daddy issues.
Moving on, let's move on.
Oh, recommendations, let's moveon to recommendations.
All right.
This is the point of the showwhere we punch the microphone.
This is the point of the showwhere we recommend music to one

(01:05:54):
another and see if we can openeach other's eyes to some new
music.
We mentioned no Apology a fewweeks back out of the Ukraine.
And then we talked aboutHalocene the following week,
also a great band, great singer, also beautiful.

Tiffany Mason (01:06:13):
I don't know.
She's like tacky 90s, tacky 80s.

Jay Franze (01:06:18):
Oh yeah, she goes overboard with makeup and all
that stuff.

Tiffany Mason (01:06:21):
Yeah, yeah, the chick from no Ap.
She's a smoke show she isawesome.

Jay Franze (01:06:29):
She's awesome.
She reminds me of those emails.
I get the junk mail that sayswould you like a bride from the
ukraine or whatever, and she hasall these beautiful women this
girl is beautiful.

Tiffany Mason (01:06:39):
That's weird.
I don't get emails like that,Jay.

Jay Franze (01:06:42):
That's because your name starts with Tiffany.

Tiffany Mason (01:06:48):
Sure does You're not wrong.

Jay Franze (01:06:52):
Anyways, we talked about those two bands and we
talked about them individually, and now we're going to talk
about a collaboration of the twoof them coming together and
doing a collab of motley crew.

Tiffany Mason (01:07:04):
kickstart my heart I would just like to know
how, like you know, they'redming each other on social media
and then they like email backand forth their pen pals and
they're writing about how theylove each other's music, and
then I would love to know whowas like.
And then I would love to knowwho was like, you know, I would
love to know how that came about, the conversation, and, okay,

(01:07:27):
I'm going to do this part, I'mgoing to do this part.
And there's not really like acohesiveness between their looks
per se, you know.
So I mean, their voices arevery, very similar and mesh.
Well, that's what it's like.

Jay Franze (01:07:41):
It's like a mashup it's a blonde and a brunette
that's a mashup.

Tiffany Mason (01:07:45):
I love a mashup video is fantastic.

Jay Franze (01:07:50):
Yes, their voices complement each other very well
the girl from no apology out ofthe ukraine.
There is got an extremelypowerful voice.
It's a lower voice, lowerregister.
She has a harder timepronouncing the English words

(01:08:11):
where the girl from Halle Seenis amazing singer, but she's
very clear.
She enunciates very well.

Tiffany Mason (01:08:17):
Better than I do Of enunciation.
There you go.
No, I just think it's reallycool that you brought that to
our attention.
I think it's cool that they'refrom different countries and
somehow they connected and theymade this awesome music video.
And no, I think it's great, Ithink it's awesome.

Jay Franze (01:08:30):
All right, what would you like to recommend, my
friend?

Tiffany Mason (01:08:34):
I would like to recommend Bottle Rockets by
Scotty McCreary.
We were talking about himearlier.
Like the words of the song areum, you know, these two kids are
out and um, he's talking aboutthe waves in the moonlight and
cold beer in the can, herkissing him and then she makes
him pull out his guitar and sing.

(01:08:54):
But then it's hootie and theblowfish.
Oh my hand, anyway, I justloved it so much and I was like,
oh my gosh, that's really coolthat darius rucker did a
collaboration but he sang hisold stuff.
It's just like such a greatsummer song.
It's these two kids falling inlove and then like, come on, I

(01:09:16):
want you to hold my hand.
Oh, I just love it so muchanyways, and I did not love
hootie and the blowfish becausedarius rucker was always like no
enunciation and that was mybeef with with him as hootie and
the blowfish, whereas as acountry singer.
As a country singer, I feel likehe has more enunciation all

(01:09:37):
right, my friend.

Jay Franze (01:09:38):
What is going on with you this week?

Tiffany Mason (01:09:42):
This was a big week, Jay.
Do you know what happened onTuesday?

Jay Franze (01:09:46):
Tuesday was yesterday.

Tiffany Mason (01:09:49):
Oh my God, it was only yesterday.

Jay Franze (01:09:51):
What happened yesterday?

Tiffany Mason (01:09:52):
Oh my, God, my days are feeling so extremely
long, oh my gosh.
Okay, yesterday, my girlfriendand I, donna, we run a
networking group called Bond andBeyond Networking and we launch
a new podcast and it is calledthe Link of Lounge and it's all
about networking.
So I am a little bit morepolished on that podcast and I

(01:10:16):
actually get the words right andcomplete thoughts.
If you want to see another sideof me or hear another side of
me, you can go on there and youcan get more confident about
networking and ideas fornetworking, for swingers.

Jay Franze (01:10:31):
Nope, nope that's not link up lounge the link up
lounge.

Tiffany Mason (01:10:38):
It is the links that make you stronger
connecting business one link ata time no swingers no, swingers,
nope.
And then on top of that, so lastmonth I think we were all I
have I have a game night everyonce in a while and my

(01:11:00):
girlfriends were over and we'rehaving this little game night.
It's not on the yacht, it's inmy little tiny house.
And, um, and my friends cameover and I was talking about how
10 000 square feet, and I wastalking about how Hannah wanted
to pierce her cartilage and mygirlfriend was like, oh, I can

(01:11:20):
do that.
And I was like sweet, and she'smy best friend.
So I was like, well, I mean, Itrust you, I'm one of those
people.
It's like that sounds like aterrible idea.
What time should I be ready?
I'm that person.
So I was like sweet, so comeover.
So she's like, okay.
So we were recording one of ourepisodes and I was like, hey,
when do you want to do it?
And she said, well, if we do iton the 4th of July, then her

(01:11:41):
ear will be sore.
And I'm like, well, she's goingto see Morgan Wallen on the
11th and these are all firstworld problems, right?
And so we're trying to figure.
And I was like, yeah, okay.
So I and Hannah got our.
It's called your helix.

(01:12:01):
I got my helix pierced, so I amofficially lopsided.
I got three holes on one sideof my head and two on the other,
so there's a very exciting.
It's been a very exciting weekand I can't believe we're only
on Wednesday.

Jay Franze (01:12:19):
My daughter has her helix.

Tiffany Mason (01:12:21):
Is that right?
See, she's cooler than me, dangit.

Jay Franze (01:12:24):
I don't know if she's cooler than you.
It's hard to beat you.

Tiffany Mason (01:12:30):
Thank you, Jay.
Wow, you are a good friend.
Thank you.
What is going on in your world,Jay?

Jay Franze (01:12:40):
Well, thank you for asking.

Tiffany Mason (01:12:44):
I would be remiss if I didn't ask you, jay,
what's going on in your world.
I don't know if you'd be remiss, or if you'd be.
Fired, goodbye.

Jay Franze (01:12:55):
Two days ago, because my week is not quite
like yours, but two days ago,Monday, I spoke to Stephanie
Ravis.
That's what I said, StephanieRavis.

Tiffany Mason (01:13:08):
How the heck did I miss that?

Jay Franze (01:13:10):
Because you don't keep up.

Tiffany Mason (01:13:14):
I'm saying I'm mad at myself.
The door's always open.
Always open.
I know, know I'm mad at myselfyou should be wait, we should
share with them.
Last week, I think it was, Iwas thinking our interview date
was the monday date and I waslike oh, I'm gonna join you
tonight.
And jay was like I hope so,because it's wednesday.

(01:13:37):
I was like oh crap yes, well, you missed monday well, I tried
to be on top of clearly failedstephanie rabus was amazing.

Jay Franze (01:13:50):
She did a great job.
She was a little nervousbecause it was her first
interview, but she did great itwas a great interview and she
absolutely amazing when I tellyou a amazing singer, this girl
is an amazing singer and thesophistication in her
songwriting is out of this world.
So she sings songs that arememorable and easy to sing along

(01:14:17):
with, but they're notpredictable.

Tiffany Mason (01:14:20):
Love that, yes.
Throw me a curve ball, god.
I love that, yes, and she is.
I love when I'm singing alongand I'm like, oh, they got me.

Jay Franze (01:14:29):
Yes, and some of them are like touching enough to
to jerk a tear out of you ifyou're not paying attention.
So definitely check out theepisode when it comes out on
Monday and you know if you havean opportunity Tiffany's crying
over there right now and if youhave the opportunity to check

(01:14:53):
out our music between that's theonly thing getting jerked
around here, anyways.

Tiffany Mason (01:15:02):
so if you have the opportunity to check, out
our music between now and Mondayno, your audience.
That's the problem I can't saycrap like that.

Jay Franze (01:15:13):
I know the audience.
That's the problem.

Tiffany Mason (01:15:19):
Oh my gosh.
Okay, Stephanie.

Jay Franze (01:15:22):
Ravis Monday night.

Tiffany Mason (01:15:25):
Sorry, stephanie, on Monday.
I'm spurring up your spotlight.

Jay Franze (01:15:28):
Amazing singer, Great songs.
Check out her music between nowand then and I promise you you
will not be disappointed.
Stephanie Ravis then, and Ipromise you you will not be
disappointed.
Stephanie ravis her dad reachedout and said thank you for such
an amazing interview and fortaking care of his daughter.

Tiffany Mason (01:15:48):
Oh, that's sweet.

Jay Franze (01:15:50):
I would expect that out of you if somebody
interviewed your daughterabsolutely hands down yeah, yeah
, mr mason is not like thatdoesn't care yeah, I get it
doesn't care about his kids, Icare about his wife he really
cares about his kid, he reallycares about his wife, but damn,
I don't think I thought I wasonto something, I mean he is in
my phone as prince charming, sohe is in my phone as prince

(01:16:14):
charming as well.
the only problem is he nevercalls me.
One day he's going to call andthat picture's going to come up.
It's going to make my day, butuntil then, he's my future best
friend.
All right.
And then, oh my daughter, wewent away to Sandusky Ohio, the

(01:16:37):
beautiful city of Sandusky Ohio.
It's actually not bad.
It's an old what I would say isan old beach town.
But there is a beach, but it'son Lake Erie.

Tiffany Mason (01:16:48):
Okay.

Jay Franze (01:16:49):
And our hotel, we stayed at this resort that was
literally right on the water, soin our window and faced the
water.

Tiffany Mason (01:16:59):
So cool it was very nice.

Jay Franze (01:17:01):
It was like a little porthole window.
It wasn't a square window, itwas round and it was very
nautical themed and all that funstuff.
But we were there because of mydaughter's dance competition
Nationals the Super Bowl of herdance season.
Yes season and she was in fourdances and got platinum plus on

(01:17:25):
all four dances talk about jerkjerk hey, that's my daughter
here I was gonna say talk aboutjerking a tear out of you.
Thank you for finishing thatsentence.

Tiffany Mason (01:17:38):
You always say that you would hand over your
man card.
Yes, you can take my man card.

Jay Franze (01:17:44):
I shed a tear or six .

Tiffany Mason (01:17:46):
I don't know.
I mean, is it getting rid ofyour man card?
I think that that makes youdouble platinum or something.

Jay Franze (01:17:53):
It makes you diamond certified.
I'll take some credit.
Yeah, I earned my man card byshowing my feelings.
It makes you diamond certified.
I'll take some credit.
Yeah See, I earned my man cardby showing my feelings.

Tiffany Mason (01:18:00):
It's true, it's true, I'll take this Because you
love your kid and you're veryproud and you're overcome with
emotion.

Jay Franze (01:18:04):
Wait, which kid are we talking?

Tiffany Mason (01:18:05):
about.
Okay yeah, lucy, I love thatone.

Jay Franze (01:18:10):
Okay, I just want to make sure we're good for a kid?
Yes, I love all my kids, butLucy, it was her weekend and her
week and she got platinum pluson all four dances.
She was even invited for two ofthe four to go to what they
called the big show and theytook all of the bests in shows

(01:18:33):
and competed them against eachother.
So she got platinum plus on herfour, got to go to the big show
with two of them and those twoboth of them she came in third
place.

Tiffany Mason (01:18:45):
That's amazing.

Jay Franze (01:18:46):
Third place out of the country.
And she's only 10, right, she's10 years old and she's
competing with like 18 year olds.
Yeah, uh-huh, she's a natural,I will give it to her.
The pictures are online ifanybody wants to check them out.
The girl is expressive.
I mean, she's just the face andstuff.

Tiffany Mason (01:19:04):
I mean, your wife must have amazing genes, yeah.

Jay Franze (01:19:07):
I can leave eyes.
I don't think they're amazing.
I mean they look better on thefloor.

Tiffany Mason (01:19:14):
Oh, wow.

Jay Franze (01:19:19):
Yeah, no, it never works out that way.

Tiffany Mason (01:19:20):
No, she gets the looks from me.
I feel like you guys were.

Jay Franze (01:19:22):
Gets the talent from me the talent Okay.
No, okay, no, I get it.
No, maybe it is something to dowith the wife.

Tiffany Mason (01:19:29):
If you're going to lie, you should have it be
something believable.

Jay Franze (01:19:31):
Yeah, yeah, that makes more sense.

Tiffany Mason (01:19:36):
You guys were there a long time.
That feels like too long.
Yeah, a week is too long.

Jay Franze (01:19:41):
And the problem is with the big show thing, them
winning the big show.
The competition was throughThursday and then if you get to
the big show you get to go onFriday and if you won again you
get to go Saturday.
She got both of those days.

Tony Scott (01:19:59):
So, I left.

Jay Franze (01:20:00):
I left on Friday.
I took Bella back home theeldest, she wanted to spend some
time with some of her friendsand stuff like that.
So and what really sucked aboutthe whole thing?
I mean I'm glad we got to go onvacation, glad we get to go
with the kid, glad we get to seeher perform and all that fun
stuff.
Get to go on vacation, glad weget to go with the cake, glad we
get to see her perform and allthat fun stuff.
Great yeah.
But cersei was in town playingand I missed it, my

(01:20:22):
understanding, the first timeplaying in this area.
Oh, almost got back in timethat sucks if they played on
Saturday night I would have beenall set, but they played on
Friday night.

Tiffany Mason (01:20:38):
Oh.

Tony Scott (01:20:41):
I'm sorry for you.

Jay Franze (01:20:42):
I called them up I said hey, if you're in town I'd
love to take you to dinner orwhatever.
They said they were driving inthat day so they wouldn't be
available for dinner but they'dbe available after the show or
talk or whatever.
I probably could have made itfor that part, but I would have
missed the show or talk orwhatever hangout I I probably
could have made it for that part, but I would have missed the
show itself.
Yeah, because we, it's only itwas only a four hour drive from

(01:21:04):
where we were, but by the time Iwe drove back and then got my
kids situated and with herfriends or whatever she was
doing, and it would have beentoo late yeah, yeah.
So, I missed it.

Tony Scott (01:21:15):
That's too bad yeah.
All right, busy being a daddy.

Jay Franze (01:21:19):
Yeah, uh-huh, all right.
Well, let's land this plane.

Tiffany Mason (01:21:25):
All right.

Jay Franze (01:21:28):
At least it's not a crash landing tonight.

Tony Scott (01:21:29):
Rough landing, but maybe not a crash, all right.

Jay Franze (01:21:33):
Well, we have done it.
We have reached the top of thehour, hour number two, which
does mean we have reached theend of the show, and if you've
enjoyed the show, we wouldappreciate it if you would tell
a friend.

Tiffany Mason (01:21:44):
