What makes a country music legend truly important? Is it chart success, cultural impact, or lasting influence? Jay Franze and Tiffany Mason tackle these questions head-on while reviewing a controversial list of "The 25 Most Important Women in Country Music" that has them both fired up from the start.

The hosts share their predictions before diving into the rankings, confidently naming Dolly Parton and Reba McEntire as the obvious choices for the top spots. What follows is a passionate dissection of the list that places newer artists higher than established legends, sparking genuine outrage when they discover Dolly Parton ranks only seventh while Carrie Underwood claims the number one position.

"Where's her amusement park? Where's her giving back kids books that can't afford books? Where's her charity programs?" Tiffany questions, highlighting how the list seems to prioritize recent commercial success over decades of cultural impact and philanthropy. The conversation reveals a deeper issue about how female artists are evaluated in country music and the often arbitrary nature of industry rankings.

Between their good-natured banter, the hosts also cover breaking news from Nashville, including Morgan Wallen's youth charity work, an exciting potential Miranda Lambert and Chris Stapleton collaboration, and Australia's growing country music scene. They wrap up with listener submissions about the most underrated female vocalists, creating a show that celebrates women in country music while questioning who gets to determine their "importance."

Jay Franze (01:10):
Let me tell you about the question of the day.
Last week, we talked about themost underrated men vocalists.
This week, we're going to talkabout the most underrated female
vocalists.
So who are some of the mostunderrated female vocalists?
Who are some of the mostunderrated female vocalists.

(01:31):
Save them, miss Tiffany.
Save them.
If you would like toparticipate in our little
reindeer games, go ahead and putyour responses in the comment
section and we will read themoff a little later in the show.
All right, so last week westarted off with an article that
was titled the most importantmen in country music and I had

(01:52):
made a joke that we should dothe most important women in
country music this week.
And I kid you not.
As I was scrolling through theinternet and I was looking at
articles, the page refreshed andup came an article called the
25 Most Important Women inCountry Music.
So I took that as a sign, andtonight we are going to start

(02:13):
off with the 25 Most ImportantWomen in Country Music, and
hopefully this list won't pissme off like the one did last
week.

Tiffany Mason (02:22):
I like it.

Jay Franze (02:23):
Alright well.

Tiffany Mason (02:25):
Now is this list the same way, where you cannot
see the order did last week.

Jay Franze (02:28):
I like it.

Tiffany Mason (02:29):
All right.
Well, Now is this list.

Jay Franze (02:30):
the same way where you cannot see the order it is.
Oh, I'm going to tell you rightnow.

Tiffany Mason (02:32):
I'm prepared to be pissed off, and do you have a
couple of women in mind?

Jay Franze (02:36):
Yes, Do I have a couple of women in mind?
For what my friend?

Tiffany Mason (02:42):
That should be at the top of the list and will
rile you up in the event thatthey are not.

Jay Franze (02:47):
Yes, absolutely, because I know last week.

Tiffany Mason (02:49):
Garth Brooks and George Strait got you wound a
little tightly.

Jay Franze (02:53):
Yes, let's see Reba.
Reba should be probably numberone on that list.
If.
I'm just shooting from the hip.
I would say Reba.
I wouldn't say Taylor Swiftbecause she kind of abandoned
country early.
If she was still in countrymusic and as successful as she
is, I would say she should be upthere.

Tiffany Mason (03:13):
What about Dolly?

Jay Franze (03:14):
Dolly for sure.
Hands down, there you go.
Great call.
I would say Dolly and Rebashould be fighting it out for
first and second.
Shania Twain should be in thetop 10.
I mean, not only is she anamazing singer, an amazing
country artist, but she similarto Garth Brooks.
She shined a new light oncountry music.

(03:35):
So, and brought in kind of thatpop feel to it.

Tiffany Mason (03:39):
Uh-huh.

Jay Franze (03:40):
Okay, and her and her husband created an entirely
new way of doing country music, her husband being Mutt Lang, her
producer.

Tiffany Mason (03:47):
Mm-hmm, mm-hmm.

Jay Franze (03:48):
So, yes, I'm prepared to be pissed.
I mean.

Tiffany Mason (03:54):
I can see 25 already.
All right, well, as long asyou're in the right mind frame
and it's already frustrating me.
Oh gosh, Okay, well, let usjoin you.
Okay 25 should be in the top 10for sure, but 25 is Miss Leanne
Rimes.
Oh, wow, okay, I feel you.
Oh, you know who else should beon this list is Carrie
Underwood.

Jay Franze (04:14):
Yes, yes.

Tiffany Mason (04:15):
Yes, okay.

Jay Franze (04:17):
I don't know where we'd put Carrie Underwood.
I wouldn't be disappointed ifshe was in the top 15.

Tiffany Mason (04:25):
Oh my gosh, that's so funny.
I had 15 in my head.
Yeah, only because there's somany amazing women.

Jay Franze (04:32):
You know country artists.

Tiffany Mason (04:34):
Oh, I know, but again the past 25 years.
I thought you were just goingto say amazing women.
Well, maybe I'm married, I knowI'm in that category, so yeah,
of course, you are 24, cam.
Okay.

Jay Franze (04:53):
No, I don't believe so.

Tiffany Mason (04:55):
That's going to be a no, it says on paper it
looks like Cam is a one-hitwonder.
Yeah.
So what does it say after thatsentence?

Jay Franze (05:04):
But label ignores her albums in Innovation.

Tiffany Mason (05:10):
Huh.

Jay Franze (05:11):
Yeah, no.

Tiffany Mason (05:14):
Let's go to 23 23 , Faith Hill.
Hmm, she was around that ShaniaTwain era, yeah, so I would say
like Both of them are smokinghot, so they brought some
attention to the country musicscene, and then I don't really
know what she's done incombination with Tim McGraw, but

(05:34):
I don't know.

Jay Franze (05:36):
I think she belongs on the list for sure.
22.
Is it Maren or Maren Morris?
Maren Morris.

Tiffany Mason (05:45):
Marin Morris.

Jay Franze (05:47):
Marin Morris.

Tiffany Mason (05:48):
I don't know why she's on there, but I love me
some, marin Morris.

Jay Franze (05:53):
I don't know who she is, obviously.

Tiffany Mason (05:55):
She sings my Church.
This is my church.
She's got quite a few hits thatwere on the radio.
You would know them.

Jay Franze (06:06):
It says that it's going to take a few more years
for us to figure out what herlegacy is going to be.
However, her first five years, they believed she'd be the
future of country music.
I don't know.

Tiffany Mason (06:18):
I don't know what .
Okay, we'll see that play out21, Ashley McBride.

Jay Franze (06:27):
I mean, why would she be before Faith Hill?

Tiffany Mason (06:30):
Do you think maybe they put younger names on
here to attract people lookingat it?

Jay Franze (06:36):
I'm sure there's.
I mean, I believe some of theyounger names belong on the list
, and rightfully so number 21,.
I think they belong on thisportion of the list, but I don't
think faith hill would.
I don't think.
Yeah, she comes before faithhill yeah oh, number 20 is one
of my favorite and disappointsme that it's number 20, sarah

(06:58):
evans oh, very good voice, yeahI worked in a mastering studio
for a while and they did all ofSarah Evans' records, but I did
not work on any of them.

Tiffany Mason (07:13):
You just got to see her from afar.

Jay Franze (07:14):
It was very disappointing.
I would have liked to haveworked on one of her projects,
but I did not, so let's move on.
See, here we go again.
Number 19, leanne Womack.

Tiffany Mason (07:27):
Hmm.
She should be further up on thelist, did she sing Strawberry
Wine?

Jay Franze (07:33):
I Hope you Dance.

Tiffany Mason (07:35):
Oh, yes, no.

Jay Franze (07:35):
Strawberry Wine was that other girl, I forget her
name.

Tiffany Mason (07:37):
Something Carter.

Jay Franze (07:38):
Yes, Dina Carter.

Tiffany Mason (07:40):
Yeah, okay.

Jay Franze (07:42):
Yeah, she sings.
I Hope you Dance.

Tiffany Mason (07:44):
That was a really good song, it was an amazing
song.

Jay Franze (07:46):
yes, Maddie and Tay, number 18.

Tiffany Mason (07:52):
Well, I could see this because they kind of
attracted a couple years youngerthan me to country music,
whereas Shania Twain and FaithHill did that in the late 80s
80s 80s 90s 90s 90s.
That's what I said, yeah.

Jay Franze (08:12):
I don't think they should be ahead of Faith Hill or
Leigh-Anne Womack or SarahEvans, for that matter.

Tiffany Mason (08:19):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (08:21):
Another artist I don't know.
I'll need your help.
Number 17 goes to Mickey Guyton.
I'll need your help.
Number 17 goes to Mickey Guyton.

Tiffany Mason (08:27):
I will need your help.
We will need the crew's help Onthis one, if you know who
Mickey Guyton is.

Jay Franze (08:35):
Please chime in.

Tiffany Mason (08:37):
Please Edge McAdams.

Jay Franze (08:39):
She is the most influential Black country singer
in America.

Tiffany Mason (08:45):
So influential that nobody knows about her.

Jay Franze (08:47):
Look at that, hmm, doesn't say, a song that she has
sung.
But I would like to know How'sit?

Tiffany Mason (08:55):
spelled Mickey like M-I-K-I, m-i-k-k-e-y,
m-i-c-k-e-y?

Jay Franze (09:04):
M-I-C-K-E-Y.

Tiffany Mason (09:04):
How do you spell of last name?

Jay Franze (09:06):
G-U-Y-T-O-N.
G-u-y-t-o-n.

Tiffany Mason (09:12):
I feel like you are trying to say it like mouse
still.

Jay Franze (09:19):
G-U-Y-T-O-N.

Tiffany Mason (09:20):
G-U-Y-T-O-N.
G-u-y-t-o-n.
Mickey Guyton she sings.
G-u-i-t-o-n.
Nikki Guyton.
She sings.
Make it On Me Better Than you.
Left Me Either way.

Jay Franze (09:32):
I don't know her.
I don't know who she is.
I don't believe she belongs onthis list.

Tiffany Mason (09:35):
And not before Faith Hill, if we don't even
know who she is.

Jay Franze (09:37):
Nikki, I'm sorry You've been removed.
Number 16, kelsey Ballerini.
She belongs on the list 16,probably a good spot for her In
front of Faith Hill or SarahEvans.
No, I mean, in due time I thinkshe should be on that list, but
not yet.

(09:58):
Number 15, Carly Pierce.
Oh, okay, Another one I think,in due time, she should move up
on this list.
Oh Okay, another one.
I think in due time she shouldmove up on this list.
Yep, but as of right now, she'sprobably in a good spot.
That, to me, from 15 to 25, iswhere all of the newer artists

(10:18):
should be.

Tiffany Mason (10:20):
Agreed.
Also, maybe one could arguethat there's more competition
now because of social media.
So I don't know, I don't knowhow to feel about it.
I still feel like the OGsshould be higher up on the list,
though.

Jay Franze (10:36):
Number 14.
Shania Twain.
Oh she belongs top 10, probablytop five.

Tiffany Mason (10:50):
I don't see your blood boiling, but I do see
frustration, yeah definitelyfrustrated.

Jay Franze (10:55):
I mean she's got diamond releases.

Tiffany Mason (10:59):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (11:00):
I mean no, she brought people back to country
music.
She created a whole new genreof country music.
You know more of that pop style.
No, she belongs higher on thelist in my opinion.

Tiffany Mason (11:16):
Okay, fair enough .

Jay Franze (11:18):
Number 13 doesn't even belong on the list because
it's not a country artist.
It's Brandi Carlile who wantsto be.
Oh, I mean I like her.

Tiffany Mason (11:28):
Are we going to just stop the list if Beyonce's
on it?

Jay Franze (11:32):
Beyonce will not be on this list.
I'm stating that right now.
She will not be on this list.
Brandi Carlile, I mean, doesshe belong on a country list?

Tiffany Mason (11:43):
I don't think so.

Jay Franze (11:48):
It's interesting that they're trying to swing it
that way.
Number 12, Trisha Yearwood shebelongs in the top 10.

Tiffany Mason (11:56):
Oh yeah, especially then she went and
snagged Garth Brooks.
Come on, give the girl somecredit.

Jay Franze (12:02):
That's another relationship that's always had a
little controversy behind it.
Yeah.

Tiffany Mason (12:12):
She's in love with the boy, though.

Jay Franze (12:15):
Well, it's because he's standing outside the fire,
number 11.

Tiffany Mason (12:19):
Or maybe it's because how many friends he has
in low places.

Jay Franze (12:23):
That's probably it Okay, I think we've beat that
one enough.
Number 11 goes to GretchenWilson.
You know what?
I believe she belongs at number11.
Let's keep her just outside thetop 10, but not quite up there
with the newer artists, I agree.
And I think she also kind ofbrought a new feel to country
music with Redneck Woman.

Tiffany Mason (12:43):
That's what I was thinking.

Jay Franze (12:45):
Yeah, fair there you go, I'm okay with it.

Tiffany Mason (12:47):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (12:48):
Number 10.
Here you go Belongs on the top10.

Tiffany Mason (12:52):
Carrie Underwood.

Jay Franze (12:53):
No, I don't know.
Oh, you want me to tell you.

Tiffany Mason (12:55):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (12:56):
I will, if you want me, to Martina McBride.

Tiffany Mason (13:00):
Oh, sure, yeah, Okay we didn't think about her.

Jay Franze (13:04):
Neither one of us mentioned her, but she
absolutely belongs on the top 10.
Absolutely, and probably rightaround 10.
All right, number nine.

Tiffany Mason (13:17):
Number nine I'm ready to abandon the list.
Oh God, oh.

Jay Franze (13:23):
Is it Beyonce?
It says the chicks, the Dixiechicks.

Tiffany Mason (13:25):
I was just going to say.

Jay Franze (13:26):
No, I don't know if important.
I don't think they've doneanything important.
I mean, I think they've broughta lot of light because of
controversy.

Tiffany Mason (13:35):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (13:35):
But I don't think.

Tiffany Mason (13:36):
Well, weren't they one of the first bands to
bring the fiddle in?
I mean, not the first to bringa fiddle in, but it was like
focused on that, you know it was.
That was a big piece of theirwhole thing and always in the
spotlight.
It wasn't just like asupporting instrument.

Jay Franze (13:50):
I mean that was a piece of it and said they are
also one of the ones that playedtheir own instruments.
I get that they actually canperform and play their
instruments not only play them, but play them very well.
So I'll give them credit forthe ability to do the basics to
be on stage.
I get that that should be arequirement to be on stage.
However, I don't know, I meanthat's the only thing it says

(14:15):
here is they play their owninstruments.
I mean, don't get me wrong, itsays more.
I'm just not reading anymore.

Tiffany Mason (14:22):
Eight Number eight, my favorite number for
those in the crew who want tokeep up with my favorite.

Jay Franze (14:25):
It says more.
I'm just not reading anymore.

Tiffany Mason (14:27):
Eight Number eight.
My favorite number for those inthe crew who want to keep up
with my favorite number isnumber eight One.

Jay Franze (14:36):
Uh uh, uh, Two.

Tiffany Mason (14:37):
Lainey Wilson.
Oh, okay.

Jay Franze (14:42):
I think she belongs on the list.
I think she belongs.
I don't know about top 10, butI do believe she's up there on
the list for sure.

Tiffany Mason (14:49):
I think maybe top 10, didn't she just get a
pretty significant award?

Jay Franze (14:52):
Yeah, she did.
Entertainer of the Year.

Tiffany Mason (14:55):
Yeah, but I mean other women on this list could
have gotten Entertainer of theYear as well.

Jay Franze (15:02):
Other women on this list have gotten Entertainer of
the Year, but she has done morethan just that she's won
multiple awards.
It says here there's only onewoman on this list that has won
more collective CMA and ACMawards the entertainer of the
year and that is Taylor Swift.

(15:23):
Oh, wow.
And she beats her by one.

Tiffany Mason (15:28):
That's impressive .

Jay Franze (15:29):
So that's definitely impressive and she does deserve
to be on the list because of it.

Tiffany Mason (15:34):
But she deserves to be on the list for other
reasons.

Jay Franze (15:36):
I mean her talents and I mean she's amazing.
I mean she's new, yeah, butshe's amazing New-ish.
Number seven an artist thatabsolutely belongs on the list,
belongs in the top five.
We're only on number sevenDolly Parton, I agree.

Tiffany Mason (16:01):
Misnumbered, for sure.
Top five.

Jay Franze (16:04):
If you really look at all of Dolly Parton's stuff,
she could probably be number oneon the list.
I know I said Reba was thefirst one to pop to my mind.

Tiffany Mason (16:14):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (16:14):
But Dolly should be number one on the list.

Tiffany Mason (16:17):
When I lived in Minnesota.
Dolly Parton I'm sure you'veheard of this has a book program
and she gives a lot of books Imean a lot of books, and so the
organization that I would workwith was the United Way and we
would have these dinners andthey would get all this money
and then it would go towards the.
It's called the ImaginationLibrary and it's supported by

(16:40):
Dolly Parton, so she has thatthat a lot of people don't know
about.
Then she has her amusement park, then she has the museum, like
she's just, she's everywhere.

Jay Franze (16:51):
And she.
She collaborates with everybodyand people outside of the genre
and kills it.
Yeah, no, I agree she.
She belongs in this.
I really do.
When I know I mentioned Reba,it was the first one that came
to mind, but Dolly really shouldbe number one in this
description.
Here it says Dolly Parton'spresence alone is enough to get

(17:12):
her on this list.
However.
She's everybody's hero, fromReba to Taylor.
So even Reba looks up to Dolly.

Tiffany Mason (17:21):
She should be a lot higher.
I would love to see who theythink she pales in comparison to
.

Jay Franze (17:26):
Please.
I'm afraid to look at the restof the list now.

Tiffany Mason (17:30):
I am too.
All right, I can't imagine.

Jay Franze (17:33):
I didn't want to have to punch the computer again
this week, but let's find outAll right Number six, One of the
most amazing artists in theworld, but does not belong on
this list.
In my opinion Alison Krauss.
Oh, I mean, I think, shebelongs maybe in the upper level

(17:54):
of this list.

Tiffany Mason (17:57):
Not above Dolly.
Not above Dolly.

Jay Franze (17:58):
Not above Reba.
Well, she's not above Reba.
We haven't seen Reba on thislist yet.
She's got to be.
Only one female artist, allgenres, has won more Grammys
than Alison Krauss.

Tiffany Mason (18:13):
Taylor Swift.

Jay Franze (18:15):
No, I don't want to say it, beyonce.
No I mean, granted, this is allgenre, so Beyonce deserves the
the Grammys in her, her nativegenre, but Alison Krauss,
between Country and Bluegrass, has been amazing.

(18:37):
She I mean she's an amazingartist, super talented and
belongs on the list.
I just don't know if I wouldput her in the top 10.

Tiffany Mason (18:46):
Yeah, all right.

Jay Franze (18:48):
Number five, kacey Musgraves, really.

Tiffany Mason (18:51):
What Above Dolly?

Jay Franze (18:53):
That's what I'm saying.

Tiffany Mason (18:54):
Come on.

Jay Franze (18:56):
Great, she's awesome , you know, whatever she's got
that folky feel to her Kind oflike an Emmylou Harris type of
style.

Tiffany Mason (19:07):
I just no folky feel to her kind of like an
emilu harris type of style.

Jay Franze (19:09):
I just no.
I don't understand why shewould be this high on the list
no, I agree it says, very fewwill truly understand her
influence.
Well, yes, exactly, buteveryone will recognize and
respect her contribution to thegenre.

Tiffany Mason (19:27):
Okay.

Jay Franze (19:28):
I will.
I mean, I'll recognize it andI'll respect it.
I get that, but you're kind ofstating my point.
I know All right.
Number four list is over.

Tiffany Mason (19:38):
I agree.

Jay Franze (19:39):
Reba McIntyre.

Tiffany Mason (19:44):
Oh, who's going to beat those two?
Okay, I don't think we need tosay very much about Reba.
Like it's the same thing withDolly.
She's awesome yeah.

Jay Franze (19:51):
She's super nice, mega talented.
Between her television showsand everything else she's got
going on, she gives back.
She's amazing.

Tiffany Mason (20:01):
Yep.

Jay Franze (20:01):
Yep, she belongs on the list.
She was fighting it out fornumber one, number two, before I
thought about Dolly.

Tiffany Mason (20:07):
Well, I was thinking of her little tribute
museum or Reba Land or whateverit was in the CMA Fest.

Jay Franze (20:14):
Yeah.

Tiffany Mason (20:14):
Where they had, like, the voice chair and they
had the.
Different television shows, yeah, all of her television
shows, all of her costumes, allfull of albums.
Yes, yes, yes, sign, yeah, allof her television shows, all of
her costumes, yes, yes.
And then even going to bobbullock's house and seeing all
the albums that he did with her, like, yeah, I don't know if she
needs much explanation but wejust gave her 20 minutes anyway

(20:36):
yeah, number three my opinionyes, absolutely, yes, absolutely
100%.

Jay Franze (20:41):
However, I'm surprised to see it on the list.

Tiffany Mason (20:47):
Taylor Swift.
Oh okay, I love that.
A little redemption for them.

Jay Franze (20:52):
Who's going to?

Tiffany Mason (20:53):
top those guys who's going to top Taylor, rhea
and.

Jay Franze (20:58):
Dolly.
Taylor Swift is definitely oneof the most important and
influential women in musicPeriod.
But after the first record itwasn't like it was country music
anymore.

Tiffany Mason (21:09):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (21:10):
And the title of the article says Most Important
Women in Country Music.

Tiffany Mason (21:18):
Okay, okay, who's two?

Jay Franze (21:21):
All right, number two, miranda Lambert.

Tiffany Mason (21:24):
Okay, who's one?

Jay Franze (21:27):
You just want to skip to one.

Tiffany Mason (21:28):
I just want to know one.

Jay Franze (21:30):
In 25 years, one of two singers will be cited as the
most influential country starof the 2000s Carrie Underwood or
Miranda Lambert.
So who do you think number oneis going to be Carrie Underwood.
There you go.
That would be my guess.
I get it.
She is definitely supertalented, but where's her?
Amusement park.

(21:51):
She's done a lot.

Tiffany Mason (21:53):
Where's her amusement park?
Where's her giving back kidsbooks that can't afford books?

Jay Franze (21:58):
Number one.

Tiffany Mason (21:59):
Where's all her charity programs?
Number one?
Where's her decades, decadeslike Dolly?

Jay Franze (22:09):
Number one, programs number one.
Where's her decades?

Tiffany Mason (22:10):
decades like dolly.
Come on number one, carrieunderwood.
Sorry, I just couldn't wait.
The anticipation was killing me.

Jay Franze (22:14):
We can backtrack to anyone you want now I like
carrie underwood, I mean she'sone of my favorites.
I mean, if we're just talkingabout one.
If.
If I were to hit play drivingdown the road, Carrie Underwood
would probably be the firstchoice I would go to.
Well, her.

Tiffany Mason (22:29):
Really Not Five Finger Death Punch.

Jay Franze (22:31):
We're talking about country women.
Okay, I mean her, even TaylorSwift, but Carrie Underwood
would probably be my go-tobecause she's got that more
aggressive style country music,yeah yeah.

Tiffany Mason (22:43):
I can see that Not really aggressive style
country music.

Jay Franze (22:44):
Yeah, yeah, I could see that Not really aggressive
style country music, but theaggressive style lyrics.

Tiffany Mason (22:49):
Yeah, I could see that.

Jay Franze (22:50):
Where I would say Miranda Lambert has got more of
the aggressive style music.

Tiffany Mason (22:56):
It's definitely rougher.

Jay Franze (22:56):
Yeah, but yes, glad she's on the list Top 10 for
sure.
Does she beat out Dolly?
Not, in my opinion.

Tiffany Mason (23:03):
Does she beat out Rey not in my opinion.

Jay Franze (23:04):
Does she beat out reba?
Not in my opinion, but that'sokay, good for her.

Tiffany Mason (23:13):
Moving on well, yep, let's talk about some
country news.
So, miss miranda lambert andchris miss number two they were
kind of hinting on their socialmedia that maybe they're going
to do a collaboration at thesong called a song to sing, and
then they both posted on theirsocial media what people are

(23:35):
speculating could be the artworkfor the single.
It was featuring a 70s discostyle ball with patterned hearts
and it had the artist's nameson it against an orange black
drop.

Jay Franze (23:48):
So who knows?
Now we'll see.
We talk about all these collabsthat are going on these days.
People are collaborating witheverybody, I think you know, you
got people collaborating withthe waitress down at the diner
so I get that but I think thisis one that is a true match.
So I get that, but I think thisis one that is a true match.
You know, we were just talkingabout that rougher style and

(24:09):
more raspy style, vocal To me, Ithink those two belong together
.

Tiffany Mason (24:13):
I always feel like Chris Stapleton is always
like, so sultry and sexy andlike baby making music.
I never thought that aboutMiranda Lambert, tennessee
Whiskey.
Hello.

Jay Franze (24:27):
Same feel to me.

Tiffany Mason (24:29):
Huh, I think, when I think of Miranda Lambert,
I think of the House that BuiltMe, so I don't think of you
know, I mean, and that is like awhole nostalgic song for me.
Yeah, yeah, alright, okay well,I'll have to listen to some of
her songs through different earsand see if I can make.

Jay Franze (24:47):
I hope it goes through.

Tiffany Mason (24:49):
Well, we're going to find out soon.
I mean, they just hinted inJuly, just a couple days ago.
So if we live long enough,we'll find out.

Jay Franze (24:58):
What a way to put that one huh.

Tiffany Mason (25:03):
All right.
Well, miss Ella Langley is inthe news.
She was going on stage withMorgan Wallen and she wrote a
little something on the palm ofher hand.
She said she didn't want to getthe performance wrong.
She wanted to be right with allof her lyrics and what she was
singing, because she was fillingin for Tate McRae and she does

(25:24):
a little dancing and I don'tknow if you're like wow, she's
really good at that, because shewas filling in for Tate McRae
and she does a little dancingand I don't know if you're like
wow, she's really good at that.
But she is much like yourdaughter, lucy and Bella, and
she took dance in high schooland actually won even a couple
of awards.
So we may see Bella or Lucy onthe stage.

(25:49):
Maybe we'll see Bella signlanguaging and dancing for Lucy
on the main mic singing along.

Jay Franze (25:51):
Bella's actually been singing a lot lately.

Tiffany Mason (25:53):
Is that right?

Jay Franze (25:54):
She was looking to do a little bit of musical
theater.
I don't know if that'll happenor not.
Ah, fun she does like to sing.

Tiffany Mason (26:00):
As well as sign.

Jay Franze (26:02):
I think she likes to sign more than she likes to
sing.

Tiffany Mason (26:04):
Yeah, she seems like she really loves it, which
is pretty cool.
I think it's pretty cool atthat age to find a passion.

Jay Franze (26:11):
Yeah.

Tiffany Mason (26:12):
You know, I've been asking Hannah all summer.
I'm like what do you want tolearn more about?
Do you want to get a craft thatgoes with this thing that
you're really interested in?
She's like nah, it's justscrolling on TikTok or Snapchat.
I'm like, okay, I don't know.
That's a talent, that's atalent all on its own.

(26:33):
Yeah, I guess she's got cheer,but anyway.
So people are wondering whereshe got her dance moves.
She's a professional.
She danced professionally inhigh school.

Jay Franze (26:44):
No pole, no pole.

Tiffany Mason (26:45):
No pole, no pole at that age.

Jay Franze (26:48):
Oh, not at that age, please Sorry.

Tiffany Mason (26:50):
Move on.
That's okay.
So the next story that wewanted to talk about was Morgan
Wallen, giving 35 kids from hishometown in the Knoxville area
of Tennessee the ability toattend summer camp focused on
music and art.
The Morgan Wallen Foundationhas issued a $15,000 grant to

(27:15):
the Salvation Army KnoxvilleArea Command, according to
sources, I didn't realize he wasfrom that area of Tennessee.
Now, you know Now.

Jay Franze (27:23):
I know.

Tiffany Mason (27:23):
Sometimes it does surprise me because maybe they
live there now, but that's notwhere their roots are from.
So I am always surprised whenI'm like huh, you're actually
really from there.
That's cool.

Jay Franze (27:37):
He's neighbors with Kenny Chesney.

Tiffany Mason (27:39):
Oh, he is.

Jay Franze (27:42):
That's where Kenny Chesney's from.

Tiffany Mason (27:45):
Oh, got it.
Yes, I thought it wasinteresting to learn that he's
actually from Tennessee.

Jay Franze (27:49):
Yeah, and Looks like he's from Tennessee.

Tiffany Mason (27:54):
He looks like he's from Tennessee.
That's true.
That's true, yep.

Jay Franze (27:57):
With his what do we call it?
Oh, he's noncommittal.
He's got a noncommittal mullet.

Tiffany Mason (28:02):
Yes, non-committal, he's got a
non-committal mullet.

Jay Franze (28:06):
Yes, yes.
Maybe he's afraid of commitment, jay.

Tiffany Mason (28:09):
He's afraid of commitment.
Okay, well, how about this?
So I guess that Jelly Roll hasa tradition where he likes to
take care of his people.
That is his opening act.
And so his opening act was, ohoh, josh Ross.
This is the guy I want to talkabout.
Oh my gosh, I thought it waslater on.
Okay, so I know, I know, Ithought it was later on in our
storylines.
Josh Ross was on tour with him,and the gift that Josh Ross and

(28:34):
the rest of the people got wasa Nintendo Switch.
So I had an initial thoughtwhere I was like I wonder how
many of them kept the NintendoSwitch and how many of them gave
them to a child that they have,or a niece, or a nephew, or
whatever.

Jay Franze (28:46):
Keep them for yourself.

Tiffany Mason (28:48):
Right, keep it.

Jay Franze (28:49):
And it's a fun gift.

Tiffany Mason (28:50):
Why are you going to give me your Rolex, then oh,
was I supposed to do that?

Jay Franze (28:54):
Oh, I gave it to Scarlett, that's right.

Tiffany Mason (28:57):
Oh no.
So Josh Ross he has a song Ilove, single Again, and he says
I got the same old number thatyou used to hit up, 615.
And I was like Hannah, look itup, where is that?
And it was Tennessee.
And I was like what that's socool?
But I was thinking that he washe's from Canada.

(29:18):
So it's interesting that what Iwas saying with roots and where
you live now, and justinteresting what they claim Like
I was born and raised in Iowabut I spent most of my married
life in Minnesota.
So when people ask me where I'mfrom, I lots of times will say
Minnesota, even though I'mreally from Iowa.
Lots of times I say it's aloaded question.

Jay Franze (29:39):
No, I'm from Boston.

Tiffany Mason (29:41):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (29:42):
I mean I've lived in the South longer than I've
lived in Boston at this point, but I'm from Boston.
That's where I went to highschool.

Tiffany Mason (29:49):
Yeah, I don't know.

Jay Franze (29:51):
I think that's, I think that's the the factor.
Where did you go to high school?

Tiffany Mason (29:56):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (29:56):
Where?
Where were the formative years?
That's where you grew up.

Tiffany Mason (30:00):
Iowa in the cornfields.
There you go.

Jay Franze (30:03):
Um Josh.

Tiffany Mason (30:05):
Josh Ross, it's hard for me to say fast.
I have a picture with him.
I met him.
So did I, Jay.
You just saw my thunder.
Oh, I'm sorry.

Jay Franze (30:16):
Tell me about yours.

Tiffany Mason (30:18):
No, I wasn't even going to tell you anything
about it.
I was just telling you I hadone.

Jay Franze (30:22):
He opened up for Nickelback.
Just telling you, I had one.
He opened up for Nickelback.
So when I went to Nickelback Iwas able to meet him as well and
he couldn't have been nicer.
And I posed for pictures withhis PR person instead of him.
I mean, I got a picture withhim too, but I feel bad for the
PR people that stand there andget no attention.

(30:44):
So I always just like to takepictures with them.

Tiffany Mason (30:47):
Hey, sometimes that's how you meet really
awesome people, which is how wemet Scarlett.

Jay Franze (30:51):
Yes, that's, true, not that she's a PR firm, but
you feel bad for her.
She's a future PR agent.
She's on her way, there you go.

Tiffany Mason (30:57):
Yeah, she's on her way.
Well, Megan Maroney's cover ofToby Keith's who's your Daddy
song is very refreshing.
No-transcript From 2002.
Who's your Daddy, and sorrypeople.

Jay Franze (31:17):
Sorry, what are you doing?

Tiffany Mason (31:19):
I guess my screen is not big enough.

Jay Franze (31:20):
This is not professional.

Tiffany Mason (31:21):
This is not professional.
Why don't you be moreprofessional?
Tiffany.
Anyways.
You're fired that was warranted.
That was warranted.
My computer screen was cuttingoff, a word Anyways, but her
vocals were playful.
Delivery breathed new life intothe song.
So that's interesting.
I have not heard her version ofthat song it's a good song

(31:44):
though it is a good song.

Jay Franze (31:46):
That's kind of fun I have to check it out like her,
and that's a good song I don'tknow if I do like her.
No.

Tiffany Mason (31:54):
No, she has a very I've never seen.
Well, I have.
Actually, I was going to sayI've never seen Conway Twitty's
wife, but if I had to guess, Iwould say it's like what she
looks like.

Jay Franze (32:07):
Where did that come from?

Tiffany Mason (32:09):
Oh, you know what she makes me think of.
Is the Vembots from AustinPowers, yes, yes, you think of.
Is the vimbots from austinpowers?
Yes, do you know the vimbots?
No, oh, that's too bad.
Everybody out there listening.
You guys know what I'm talkingabout the blondes with the high

(32:31):
white platinum boots oh yeah, yes, I know, yes, okay, I know.
Yes, okay, yeah, yeah.

Jay Franze (32:35):
All right.

Tiffany Mason (32:35):
Good, that's what she makes me think.

Jay Franze (32:36):
So don't make fun of me now.
Keep your emails.
Megan Maroney, I saw her openup for Brooks and Dunn.
Oh, and.
Lucy, you mentioned my daughter, Lucy, earlier.
She went with me and she got tosit there and watch Megan's
soundcheck and then got to go upon stage and stand and sing
through the microphone and stuff.

Tiffany Mason (32:57):
I want to be your kid Jay.

Jay Franze (32:59):
I want to be my kid.

Tiffany Mason (33:02):
Who's my daddy?
Who's your daddy?
Jay, can you be my daddy?

Jay Franze (33:08):
I don't know if your husband's going to like it, but
who's your daddy?
We should move on before youget divorced and I get in
trouble.

Tiffany Mason (33:16):
You always share the coolest stories that your
kids get to experience.

Jay Franze (33:20):
It's my kids that get to do it, though I mean, you
know what's funny to me.

Tiffany Mason (33:23):
That's why I asked to be one of your kids.

Jay Franze (33:24):
I always offer it to Bella, and she always turns it
down.
And Lucy you know she takes itup.
I mean, she has no idea whothese artists?
Are.
I mean she has no idea whothese artists are, but she loves
going because she knows she'sgoing to get treated like a rock
star.
Yeah, she came back from.
Brooks and Dunn with a goodiebag.
I mean it had belt buckles init.
I mean I think the beltbuckle's behind me on the shelf

(33:45):
here.

Tiffany Mason (33:46):
but Nothing for dear old dad.

Jay Franze (33:48):
No.
Well, she gave me the beltbuckle.
It's a giant country beltbuckle.
Yeah, it's back there we'llbelieve you yeah, I'm gonna have
to put it up on instagram ifyou don't believe me.

Tiffany Mason (34:04):
There you go well , I think we talked about kelly
clarkson and her residency inlas vegas and actually, let's
see, 90 minutes before she wassupposed to take the stage for
her debut performance, she madean emotional announcement on
instagram saying that they'vebeen working 24 7 to make the
studio sessions the mostintimate and extraordinary

(34:26):
experience, but her vocal cordswere not up to speed so she
canceled.
Hopefully she can pull ittogether and isn't what you said
was one of the benefits ofdoing the residencies is that
you're not singing every singlenight.

Jay Franze (34:43):
Yeah, I mean, you could possibly be singing every
night, but most of them aren't.
They usually sing a night ortwo and then take a couple
nights off, like celine dion hada residency for ages.
But yeah, I mean the benefit ofit is there's no travel stress.
Oh sure, when you're on tourand you're traveling, and

(35:03):
whether it be by bus, plane, inthe food and all that stuff here
you get to.
For someone like her, she'sprobably does not have a house
in Vegas, so she's probablystaying at one of the suites and
gets the buffet food and one ofthe suites and gets the buffet
food and all of the fun stuff.
So it's much more relaxingsituation to be in, but you

(35:24):
still get sick, you get sick, you get sick yeah.

Tiffany Mason (35:28):
That was on July 4th too.
Like womp womp, Everyone'sasking.
You know, like, what are youdoing for the 4th?
What are you doing for the 4th?
We're going to go see KellyClarkson in Las Vegas.
No, you're not.

Jay Franze (35:39):
Her residency is at Caesars, I know.
It's a nice resort to be at.
You know who went to Vegas andsang with Kelly Clarkson?

Tiffany Mason (35:50):
I want to say Presley Tennant.

Jay Franze (35:53):
There you go, proud of you.
Yes, want to say PresleyTennant.
There you go.
Kelly Clarkson was her coach onthe Voice, oh right, and she
asked her to come out and singand it just happened to be
Presley's birthday and she wentout.

Tiffany Mason (36:13):
You can look it up on.

Jay Franze (36:13):
YouTube.
You know I love the hell out ofKelly Clarkson and Presley
Tennant held her own if notprobably went a little bit
better.
Kelly at the end of it said youknow she says I think you did
better than me.

Tiffany Mason (36:22):
Oh Well, at least she was honest about it.

Jay Franze (36:26):
There you go.

Tiffany Mason (36:27):
Yeah, okay.
Well, mr Keith Irvin, he is nostranger to a couple of awards
and it's funny because hedoesn't display them at his
house.
So what he does is he puts themin the mail to his mama and
she's keeping them safe for him,I guess.
So that's kind of cute,interesting.

(36:49):
He doesn't have the awardsdisplayed at his house, but his
mommy does.

Jay Franze (36:53):
That's pretty cool.
I don't know if my mother wouldhave taken them If I sent her
the plaques and stuff.
I don't think she'd want it.
She'd be like what am Isupposed to do with these?

Tiffany Mason (37:02):
I think I would feel the same way.

Jay Franze (37:04):
I don't have any hanging up in here.
Yeah.
I don't have the awards ofKeith Urban, don't get me wrong,
but I do have plaques from thesessions I was involved in.
And.
I kid you not, they're allsitting in a box in my garage.

Tiffany Mason (37:18):
That's sad.

Jay Franze (37:19):
It is sad.
But they don't bring me joy.
Yeah, who's?

Tiffany Mason (37:26):
that lady that says that Marie Kondo?

Jay Franze (37:28):
Yes, thank you.

Tiffany Mason (37:29):
I'm coming in clutch tonight man.

Jay Franze (37:33):
I've taken that to heart.
They do not bring me joy when Ilook at those plaques.
They do not bring me joy sothey do not hang in my workspace
.

Tiffany Mason (37:42):
Okay, well, I think similar in our house we
have like artwork, which is fine, but what brings me happiness
and joy is like pictures of myfamily.
So in the little music recordspace that I'm creating it will
be pictures of our family and Ihave a like mom shrine in my
office just all the littletrinkety crap my kids have given

(38:04):
me.
Yeah, it looks like garbage butyou know it makes me so happy
that when they had their little50 cent santa shopping area, you
know like like this Look atthis, what Nice Number one mom
Heck, yeah.

Jay Franze (38:18):
I have one of those, not number one mom but like one
of those on the shelf is likebest dad or something.

Tiffany Mason (38:26):
Yeah, and that brings me joy.
What do you think this costs?
Like a portion of a penny.

Jay Franze (38:32):
It's not about cost, it's about thought.

Tiffany Mason (38:34):
Oh, trust me, I know it's not about cost, it's
about thought.
Oh, trust me, I know it sits onmy desk.
I look at it all the time.

Jay Franze (38:39):
I'll tell you.
I mean if we ever clean out thegarage.
I mean because my garage islike a storage unit.

Tiffany Mason (38:44):
It's not supposed to be, but somehow it is Only
in Florida.

Jay Franze (38:47):
But if we clean it out, I'll go ahead and put the
plaques up on the wall in thegarage, but I don't want them in
my house.
Yeah, I don't know, forwhatever reason, I think it's
tacky.
I don't want them in my house.

Tiffany Mason (39:00):
Yeah Well, yes, I can appreciate that about you.
If it was me, I'd have to havethem up with some lights on them
.
Maybe they'd be flashing.

Jay Franze (39:09):
Well, if I had a studio set up like Bob Bullock's
, they'd be all over in thestudio.

Tiffany Mason (39:15):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (39:16):
But not in my house.

Tiffany Mason (39:18):
Yeah, I'm in my office now.

Jay Franze (39:20):
I wouldn't no I don't want them in here.

Tiffany Mason (39:23):
Yeah Well, I think we talked about Randy
Travis and Clay Walker's closeto net relationship.
Anyway, they're doing awheelchair race, the racing
event of 2025.
The two country greats wererecently both in the same place
at the same time in theirwheelchairs, so of course they
had to take the opportunity tosee who could wheel down the

(39:46):
hallway the fastest.
To be fair, each singer hadsome help from a person pushing
the chair, so it was a levelplaying field and beyond that,
it seemed more like a friendlymatch than a serious competition
.

Jay Franze (39:57):
Okay, If someone's pushing it.
Obviously they're not motorized, but I would like to see them
racing motorized wheelchairs tosee who's got it set up.
And you know, I picture it likeseeing the wheels screeching in
the hallway.
Yes, like on the hardwoodfloors and the wheels screeching
and a couple wheelchairs goingdown.

Tiffany Mason (40:20):
I bet we can make AI do that.
Oh, I'm sure we can, if I thinkabout it.

Jay Franze (40:25):
If I remember, throughout this week, I'll go
ahead and get AI to create avideo of that or a photo or
something of it.

Tiffany Mason (40:34):
That's funny.
It does paint a good visual.

Jay Franze (40:39):
A little bit of smoke coming up out of the back
of the wheelchair.

Tiffany Mason (40:42):
Yes, that's exactly what I picture.
Yeah, maybe a little spark.

Jay Franze (40:47):
Oh, I thought you were saying that I was giving
you some sparks.
I got it.

Tiffany Mason (40:51):
No.

Jay Franze (40:52):
No.

Tiffany Mason (40:53):
Sorry.

Jay Franze (40:54):
Hey, wait, who's your daddy?
Wait.

Tiffany Mason (40:59):
I got to remember to go check that song out
because that is very exciting,Just to hear it.
You know, read that in somebodyelse's vision.
Well, somebody who has a visionfor each other is Gwen Stefani
and Blake Shelton.
They are now four years deepinto their marriage and they are
feeling as smitten as newlyweds.

(41:19):
And it was clearly who knowsCome on.

Jay Franze (41:24):
I'm married.

Tiffany Mason (41:24):
I know there's no well, four years in, you still
could be.
But Gwen Stefani put a videomontage of the love celebration
on social media.
So you know, everyone poststheir highlight reels.
So in her highlight reel theylook like they are just smitten
as newlyweds.

Jay Franze (41:44):
It's easy for them to post a highlight reel their
whole life's on camera.

Tiffany Mason (41:48):
Right.

Jay Franze (41:49):
But yeah, I mean no, four years in no honeymoon
phase is over.

Tiffany Mason (41:55):
Okay, and I know that this is probably a stupid
question, but I can't keep trackDid Gwen Stefani have his baby?

Jay Franze (42:00):
Whoa, I don't know.

Tiffany Mason (42:04):
I feel like it was like Gwen Stefani is
pregnant and then it was like,oh, false alarm, or she lost the
baby or something.
And then it was like, oh, gwenStefani's pregnant and I'm like
this woman never had a baby.

Jay Franze (42:15):
Do you realize you're the one reading the news?
News is supposed to be factual.

Tiffany Mason (42:20):
Well, I know this was just a side question.
It's factual that they've beenmarried for four years and
they're smitten as newlyweds.

Jay Franze (42:28):
Fair enough.

Tiffany Mason (42:28):
Those are the facts we're offering.

Jay Franze (42:31):
So we are offering, as long as we're offering some
facts, yes, Four years in, ifanybody in the crew knows.
Four years in, I do not agree.
I think sparks are over.
I think at that point, it'sfriendship that keeps you going.

Tiffany Mason (42:46):
Yeah, the other person has pissed you off enough
.

Jay Franze (42:49):
They haven't unlocked the dishwasher or they
haven't gotten their clothes inthe hamper, you're pooping with
the door open.

Tiffany Mason (42:55):
It's true, it's a different level of comfort.

Jay Franze (42:58):
Yeah, Kind of wish my wife would do that.

Tiffany Mason (43:01):
She's not waking up with makeup anymore.

Jay Franze (43:05):
All right, shall we move on to the question of the
day.

Tiffany Mason (43:08):
Yes, you've been making me wait this entire time
to share with you.

Jay Franze (43:13):
All right Question of the day day who are the most
underrated female vocalists incountry music?
Who are the most underratedfemale vocalists in country
music?
no no no underrated femalevocalists you can add whatever
you want, because the crew hasadded whatever they want so we

(43:38):
can expand to all music.
I mean, hell, we got TaylorSwift as one of the most
influential people in countrymusic.
All right, oh, and I appreciateit.
I see some people areabbreviating their last name
this week.
Thank you, you never know, otherwise Jay's going.
I appreciate it.
I see some people areabbreviating their last name
this week, thank you.

Tiffany Mason (43:56):
You never know.
Otherwise, jay's going to sayit, I know.

Jay Franze (44:00):
Sunny Sweeney.
Tom says Sunny Sweeney, sheblends honky-tonk with
heartbreak.

Tiffany Mason (44:09):
Nope, I don't know her.

Jay Franze (44:10):
Well, good, I'm glad we're off to a good start.

Tiffany Mason (44:14):
I like her name yeah.

Jay Franze (44:20):
Julie Roberts.
Mark, sorry, mark says JulieRoberts, I don't know her, you
don't know her.
No, no, she's good, Says sheshould have been a household
name.
I guess that's the point.
Maybe you shouldn't know her.
It is underrated, right Right?
Here's one that I don'tnecessarily agree with jeff says

(44:41):
tanya tucker, I think she gotit was cool because she had such
a raspy voice but is sheunderrated?
I don't think so no, to be fair, he does have in parentheses
her early career okay, that'swhat I was thinking of.
I didn't realize we're puttingstipulations to things here
tonight.

Tiffany Mason (45:00):
Do not consider the whole person, only a portion
of their career.

Jay Franze (45:04):
Despite her legendary status, she is
overlooked for decades.
All right, thank you, jeff.
A lot of the people I workedwith in Nashville worked with
her first, so it seems like alot of the people met while
working for her, like Andy Hallplayed drums for her.

Tiffany Mason (45:24):
Matt.

Jay Franze (45:25):
McClure was her live sound engineer.
Tony Cottrell went out and dida couple of shows with her.
Anyways, kelly Pickler oh mygosh.
Yes, kelly pickler is one of myfavorites.
She hasn't been performing forquite a while.
I know um.

(45:47):
Her husband just recentlypassed away, kyle jacobs.
Kelly pickler was strugglingputting her last album together
and Kyle, being a producer and asongwriter, helped her through
it and got her through andreleased the album, and then he
passed away.
I don't know if she kind of fellout of it after all.

(46:09):
That I mean it'd be hard tocontinue on.
I mean that would be hard to bea newlywed and your husband
pass away and he was the oneproducing your records and
writing your songs.

Tiffany Mason (46:22):
Yeah, yep, it'd be tough.

Jay Franze (46:28):
It just cannot feel right.

Tiffany Mason (46:30):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (46:32):
Yeah, all right, sorry Sorry, kelly, she was very
nice too.
She was very nice too, very, very nice.

Tiffany Mason (46:38):
She was cute as a button on American Idol.

Jay Franze (46:40):
She's a beautiful, beautiful girl.
Shelley Wright.
Ron says Shelley Wright.

Tiffany Mason (46:47):
I thought you said Shelley Wright and
immediately I thought you saidwrong and I was like what?

Jay Franze (46:54):
Ron says Shelly Wright.
She's brave and talented andconstantly overlooked.
Okay, all right, this one.
I don't know if I can agreewith it, but Kyle says Jennifer
Nettles.

Tiffany Mason (47:15):
All I want to do.
Nice, I like her.

Jay Franze (47:23):
I think, she's awesome.

Tiffany Mason (47:23):
I'd say yes.

Jay Franze (47:24):
But is she underrated?
I think people recognize herfor her talents.
Says people forget that she's apowerhouse outside of Sugar
Land.
Oh, Now she was a rock singerbefore she went to Sugar Land.
Oh really, yeah, I have her one, maybe two records of hers.
She was a solo artist and arock singer.

Tiffany Mason (47:48):
We know you got an affinity for these chicks at
the front of the rock band.

Jay Franze (47:53):
Oh, here's one I can agree with Alex.
Alex says Kim Ritchie.
I can tell by your face.
You don't know who Kim Ritchieis, and I wouldn't expect you to
, but man, she's awesome she isawesome, kim Ritchie.
He says oh, she's a pioneer inalt country.
I think she is.

(48:13):
Kim Ritchie is an amazingartist, amazing songwriter.

Tiffany Mason (48:19):
Does Ritchie end with a Y or an I-E?

Jay Franze (48:21):
E-Y.

Tiffany Mason (48:23):
E-Y Okay.

Jay Franze (48:25):
Kim Ritchie, she is very, very good.
Yeah, kim Ritchie, she is very, very good.
Yeah, I mean, I remember when Iwent in and recorded the Marie
Martin album that some of thepeople that played on Kim
Ritchie's record just came fromthat session over to this
session and they learned a bunchof tricks on that session and
wanted to put them on MarieMartin's record but it didn't

(48:48):
fit so we had to take it off.

Tiffany Mason (48:51):
Aw yeah.

Jay Franze (48:52):
Anyways, great artist Trick Pony.
Trick Pony is fronted by,what's it?
Heidi Newfield.
So yeah, I would say underratedPam Tillis.
Oh wait, wait, I did it again.
Hold on, hold on say underratedPam Tillis.
Oh, wait, wait, I did it again.

(49:12):
Hold on, hold on hold on, letme figure out where it is.
Caleb said Trick Pony, I doknow how to get yelled at.

Tiffany Mason (49:24):
Caleb says Trick Pony and Erin says Pam Tillis,
big fan of Pam Tillis, yeah, yes.

Jay Franze (49:27):
Underrated?
I don't think so.
No, I don't think she'sunderrated, I think people, I
think she's rated just rightokay, I don't think she's
overrated I don't think she'sunderrated pam tillis.
Again, I think pam tillis isone of those that, um, who, who
was it?
Scotty simpson and jeff king, Ibelieve.

(49:48):
Both played for Pam Tillisbefore they went on to Reba and
the Oak Ridge Boys.
Anyways, next Terry Clark.
Oh, jason, jason says TerryClark.

Tiffany Mason (50:00):
I like Terry Clark.

Jay Franze (50:02):
I like Terry Clark, underrated.

Tiffany Mason (50:03):
I feel like.
I don't know if they'reunderrated, but I don't feel
like they are, as you know, likein the spotlight.
Maybe that's how people arefeeling, like Pantelis and Terry
Clark.

Jay Franze (50:17):
Fair enough, I can go with that line of thinking.
Yeah, jared, you're wrong.
Sorry, jared says Laney Wilson.
No, no, he does have aqualifier in here.

Tiffany Mason (50:37):
He says, okay, before yellowstone, okay,
probably, probably.
But now it's a hard argument.
When you win entertainer of theyear, there's no way, she's
underrated, no way, sorry.
Was she before.
Yellowstone.

Jay Franze (50:52):
Maybe, I guess you can argue that case for sure.
But no, Sorry, I love it.
I love it.
It is absolutely humorous to me.
Francis says Danny Stefanetti.
It is absolutely humorous to me.

(51:12):
Francis says Danny Stefanetti.
I love.
Danny Stefanetti.

Tiffany Mason (51:24):
Danny Stefanetti is the one who gave me this bear
right here.

Jay Franze (51:26):
Oh yes, Danny Stefanetti is awesome.
I didn't expect to see her onthe list.
Is she underrated?
I would say I don't know ifshe's underrated.
The people who know who she isthink she's amazing.
Is she just not as well knownyet?

Tiffany Mason (51:43):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (51:44):
Huh, I like that.
That's a good one, frances.
Thank you All right.
Let's see.
Anthony's a good one, frances.
Thank you All right.

Tiffany Mason (51:55):
Anthony says Amy Lee.
Should I know Amy Lee?

Jay Franze (51:57):
You should, you will , but this is where we're
veering off from country forsure.

Tiffany Mason (52:04):
Okay.

Jay Franze (52:05):
Amy Lee is the singer of Evanescence.
Oh, okay, now to be fair Again, anthony's got a qualifier in
here, not really underrated, however, she is one of my
favorites, anthony.
Yeah, I love him, that'll work.

Tiffany Mason (52:28):
Fair enough, he wanted to get his two cents in
there about his fave.

Jay Franze (52:32):
All right, Brynn.
Thank you for joining.
I appreciate you being here.
Brynn, says Lucinda Williams.

Tiffany Mason (52:39):
Return Lucinda.

Jay Franze (52:44):
Christy, she says me Now she's not talking about me.
She's talking about her.

Tiffany Mason (52:54):
Yeah.

Jay Franze (52:55):
I've never heard her sing.

Tiffany Mason (52:57):
You sang her huh.

Jay Franze (52:58):
Christy, if you want to join jfrenzycom slash live,
you can join.

Tiffany Mason (53:02):
Christy.

Jay Franze (53:02):
And you can sing right here.
We'll let you do it.

Tiffany Mason (53:06):
We've got a stage for you.

Jay Franze (53:09):
Anyway, there you go .
Who do you think is the mostunderrated female vocalist?

Tiffany Mason (53:17):
um well, I had two people on my list.
The first person that I wrotedown was jewel underrated yeah,
I mean, I never hear people belike oh, she's awesome, I love
her.

Jay Franze (53:30):
She's an awesome songwriter.
She does have an awesome voice, but I mean, I don't know if I
would consider her.
Well, she's very talented.
I don't think she's underrated,okay.
I think she's properly rated,okay.

Tiffany Mason (53:45):
Nonetheless, my other one is probably properly
rated too.
So who do you think isunderrated?

Jay Franze (53:51):
Jay, I want to know who the other one is.

Tiffany Mason (53:57):
No, because they're not underrated.

Jay Franze (53:59):
Well, you can still share.

Tiffany Mason (54:02):
I said Pink Definitely not underrated.

Jay Franze (54:05):
Never mind, pink is another awesome singer, but not
underrated at all I know.

Tiffany Mason (54:14):
Maybe I'm thinking more like husband.
Maybe if you went to like CyndiLauper.

Jay Franze (54:18):
Cyndi Lauper is underrated.
She's got killer hits andwrites killer songs, but she's
not known as a vocalist.
But man, the woman can sing.

Tiffany Mason (54:25):
That's true.

Jay Franze (54:26):
But Pink no, I know.

Tiffany Mason (54:29):
And I don't know what made that connection.

Jay Franze (54:31):
I think it's just the pink hair of Cyndi Lauper.
I think, going from pink topink hair, I would say Melanie
Kramer.

Tiffany Mason (54:39):
Oh yes, I love her voice.

Jay Franze (54:40):
Yes, I mean that woman can sing.
She can sing.
And I mean I would say they're.
It's probably because they'renot as well known.
However, they are well knownwithin their circle, I mean they
travel all over the place andthey are very, very.
People don't miss them, butMelanie Kramer, I think, is
definitely an underrated femalevocalist.

(55:02):
All right, let's move on.
That was a friendlyconversation.
That's what we strive for here.

Tiffany Mason (55:14):
Okay, well, we are learning breaking news.
You're hearing it right here onthe Jay Franze Show that
Australia is having a moment.
Y'all Australia is reallytaking a liking to our country
music and they have some oftheir own artists that are
breaking out as well, and it'sGen Z that is actually driving

(55:37):
the popularity with this genre, particularly in the metropolitan
area.
So I think that that'sinteresting, Although I know one
of the ladies that we met atCMA Fest was from Australia.
That was exciting.

Jay Franze (55:52):
Chloe Styler.

Tiffany Mason (55:54):
Yeah, just interesting that Australia is
really taking a liking tocountry music.
It's having a resurgence downon the mate.
Yeah, please don't do thatagain.

Jay Franze (56:06):
We have had a handful of Australian country
singers on the show, includingDanny Stefanetti.
Oops, there I go, punch themicrophone again.
Danny Stefanetti bear.
Anyways, danny Stefanetti wason the show.
She's living in California nowbut she is from Australia.
But Chloe Styler you mentionedher from the CMA awards.
She's another awesome singer.

(56:27):
And then Katie Jane wasrecently on the show and lives
in Australia and does not planto leave Australia.

Tiffany Mason (56:34):
Oh, wow.

Jay Franze (56:34):
She likes being there.
She's a radio personality there, oh.
And likes performing in thatcountry.
She said she would love to be aglobal artist, but she feels
comfortable being in.
Australia.
But the reason I mentioned heris because I was listening to
country music news on the radiotoday and it was her.
I thought that was funny.
It was on an iHeart radiostation and it was Katie Jane.

Tiffany Mason (56:58):
Ah, too funny.
You have to reach out to herand say hey, I heard your
segment.

Jay Franze (57:03):
I know that voice.

Tiffany Mason (57:05):
Uh-huh, that's cool.
Well, a voice you maybe don'tknow yet is Rachel Fahim.
Fahim Fahim.
She has dropped her mostvulnerable single yet who you
Are, a bold confessional anthemfor anyone who's ever lost
themselves in the wrongrelationship.
The track will no doubt makewaves as it's emotionally

(57:28):
charged, following up her hitGood Luck, which currently sits
at number one on the CMTAustralian charts.

Jay Franze (57:35):
Yeah, no, I mean I've heard a little bit at this
point and it's good.
She's very good and veryemotional.
She definitely has a lot offeeling.
We talk about storytelling alot for country music and how
important it is, and she's verygood with telling a story.

Tiffany Mason (57:53):
Maybe she has an underrated voice because it
didn't say Australian countrymusic voice.

Jay Franze (58:00):
Somebody reach out and tell us Is she underrated?

Tiffany Mason (58:06):
Katie.

Jay Franze (58:06):
Katie Jane, if you're out there, if you're
listening please chime in andlet us know.
If anybody could tell us.

Tiffany Mason (58:10):
You, you're listening.
Please chime in and let us knowIf anybody can tell us.

Jay Franze (58:12):
You should be able to tell us.

Tiffany Mason (58:14):
That's right.
Well, hunter Valley inAustralia Just got a new country
venue and it is called the FullThrottle Ranch and it just
Officially opened its doors tothe public and they are offering
A roasted meat menu Plus livebands.
And Jay officially opened itsdoors to the public and they are
offering a roasted meat menuplus live bands.
And Jay, just for you, somebush dancing.

Jay Franze (58:39):
You're not going to do it, you're not going to bait
me in.

Tiffany Mason (58:42):
That made my night.

Jay Franze (58:45):
Okay, Maybe a little is it on a pole.

Tiffany Mason (58:48):
No.

Jay Franze (58:49):
No.

Tiffany Mason (58:49):
Okay, kebab it on a pole.
No, no, okay A kebab, it's ameat kebab.
It's a mini pole.

Jay Franze (58:57):
Moving on.
Yes, they opened their bar onthe 4th of July, which is cool.
It's an American-themed bar, ithas country music and what's
cool about it is it's ahonky-tonk.
If you picked it up and put itin Nashville, it's a honky tonk.
It's pretty cool.
I don't know.
I would like to go see it.
Way to go Aussies.

Tiffany Mason (59:16):
I would like to go see it.

Jay Franze (59:17):
I want to go to Australia.

Tiffany Mason (59:19):
Well, I think there's a problem for you or I
making it to Australia, Jay.
Our love for being in anairplane.

Jay Franze (59:28):
You know I fly all the time for work.
I hate flying.

Tiffany Mason (59:33):
Hate it.

Jay Franze (59:34):
Not a fan.
There's not a thing I likeabout it.
I'd much rather hop in a carand drive.

Tiffany Mason (59:39):
Yeah, I would too , except for the last time I did
a baby car ride, can't reallydrive to.
Australia.
No, no, you can't.

Jay Franze (59:51):
You could take a really long cruise have one of
those boats or one of those carsthat turns into a boat, yeah, a
duck boat.
That would be awesome no, theymake the cars that do it too.
What do they call?

Tiffany Mason (01:00:03):
them amphibious vehicles.
Oh sure, yes, yes yeah, I won't.

Jay Franze (01:00:08):
You know.
When people talk about cars andstuff, those are the type of
cars I want, ones that are trulydifferent.

Tiffany Mason (01:00:15):
Well, if you go on the road with Jelly Roll, it
could be a gift from him.
It's a little bit moreexpensive than a Nintendo Switch
, but Maybe it's Post Malonethat I have to go out with.
Right, because he did the Rolex, he did.
He didn't do the rolex, thatwas jason.

Jay Franze (01:00:32):
Oh right, right, right, post malone gives the big
tips, the 70 000 tip and stuff.
So I mean yeah, that's for astranger.
He met in a restaurant.
I wonder what he would do forsomebody working for him and all
you want is an amphibious caryeah it's fine it's not a big
deal, right, it can't be thatexpensive, whatever.

Tiffany Mason (01:00:52):
Well, going along with all of our australian
excitement for country music, mrmorgan wallen himself may be
returning to australia in 2026.
At this point, he's onlyteasing.
Everything is teasing.

Jay Franze (01:01:10):
Hinting.
Isn't that what we said theother day?
I know I think last week.

Tiffany Mason (01:01:14):
I said hinting, but I think the real word is
teasing.

Jay Franze (01:01:17):
I think they're always saying something's being
teased.
What my wife does to me all thetime.

Tiffany Mason (01:01:23):
Yes, so stay tuned.
We'll see if he's going to getthere in 2026 or not all right,
you know what?

Jay Franze (01:01:35):
um jelly roll just hinted that he's going there
teased, did he tease?
He teased it.
His wife was heard on herpodcast saying that know his
plans to go there, for I thinkit was 60 days or something
which is insinuating that he'sgoing to be on tour there.

(01:01:57):
Yeah, oh yeah, you know how.
I know that it was on.
Katie's news brief today.
I was wondering how I knew that.
It's because I don't listen toher podcast.
I'm like huh.
How did I know that?

Tiffany Mason (01:02:12):
That's pretty cool.
If an Australian DJ is teasingabout it, then it's probably
more realistic than not.
Yeah, I think if I was anactual DJ, that would be really
hard for me not to slip Startlying or telling stories.

Jay Franze (01:02:30):
Oh yeah, keith Urban's going to be playing here
tomorrow.

Tiffany Mason (01:02:35):
Well, I told you I was a terrible liar, right?
So one of my kids would be like, hey mom, when are they coming?
And I would probably be like,oh, this day and that day.
And they'd be like, ah, Iwasn't supposed to say anything.
I'd be a bad DJ in that respect.

Jay Franze (01:02:50):
All right, let's move on to recommendations.
I'd be a bad DJ in that respect.

Tiffany Mason (01:02:52):
All right, let's move on to recommendations,
recommendations.

Jay Franze (01:02:55):
Recommendations.
Last week you recommended thatI listen to Scotty McCreary
Bottle Rockets, which I did, soI enjoyed it.
It was a fun song.

Tiffany Mason (01:03:07):
It's just like a perfect summer song.
Yeah, you know kids falling inlove, and I love the
collaboration with him andHootie Blowfish.

Jay Franze (01:03:16):
Now I got a bone to pick with you.
I asked you last week I saidwas it a sample or did they
re-sing it?
Because I heard they re-sang itand you told me it was a sample
and I went and looked it up andthey re-sang it and he told me
it was a sample and I went andlooked it up and they re-sang it
.

Tiffany Mason (01:03:34):
That's what made it a collaboration versus a
sample.
Oh, I did not know that.

Jay Franze (01:03:37):
I just want to hear you say it.

Tiffany Mason (01:03:39):
You were right, Jay.

Jay Franze (01:03:40):
Well, thank you, it's not often.
I get to hear a woman say thatmy wife never says that.

Tiffany Mason (01:03:44):
Well, I like it even more that it was a true
collaboration, because that'swhat I thought was so cool is
that Darius Rucker was singingHootie and the Blowfish as a
collaboration with anothercurrent artist, like I don't
know.
I just thought the whole thingwas.
I believe you know sometimeswhen you see a commercial you're
like I see what you did there.
It's kind of like that feelingto me.

Jay Franze (01:04:06):
The actual band sang it.

Tiffany Mason (01:04:09):
That's so cool it's very cool.
I'm very impressed by that I amtoo love it, so yes, like you
said, it was a the perfectsummertime song.

Jay Franze (01:04:18):
I liked it.
I liked the collaboration.
Can you say it was cheesy?

Tiffany Mason (01:04:22):
maybe, but country music borders on cheesy
sometimes when she made me pullout my guitar and say oh, my
hand.

Jay Franze (01:04:34):
Sometimes clever and cheesy kind of fall.

Tiffany Mason (01:04:38):
Yeah, they collide.
Yeah, I can see where you'resaying that but I liked it a lot
.

Jay Franze (01:04:42):
I think that's right on the border of it.

Tiffany Mason (01:04:44):
It's on the cusp.

Jay Franze (01:04:46):
And I think we talked about the other songs in
the past, you know, referencingGuns N' Roses and stuff.
Yes, so it's one of thosetrends that goes through in
Nashville when somebody getssomething, they jump on it.

Tiffany Mason (01:05:00):
Mm-hmm.

Jay Franze (01:05:00):
But I actually think this is better than the other.

Tiffany Mason (01:05:04):
Okay and well, it's better because it's like
the actual people Like if GunsN' Roses was on there singing
Don't Cry a whole horror.
Paradise City, Right, yeah.

Jay Franze (01:05:14):
Yeah, that would be a good one for Carrie Underwood.

Tiffany Mason (01:05:18):
Ooh, good, call Holy crap.
You better call her people.

Jay Franze (01:05:22):
Carrie, if you want to work on that, reach out.
You have my number.
I know a good sound engineerJust saying All right, so yeah,
so I thought it was definitely agood recommendation.
I did enjoy it, but wementioned last week an artist
that you did not hear of, so Iwould like to recommend for you

(01:05:47):
to go check out Mr Zane Williams.
He was on the underrated malevocalist list.

Tiffany Mason (01:05:54):
Oh, sure, okay.

Jay Franze (01:05:56):
So you had not heard of him and I mentioned that he
is a really talented songwriterand artist and I met him at the
beginning of his career Super, super nice guy.
So please check him out, seewhat you think and let us know.

Tiffany Mason (01:06:16):
I'm sure I will be singing his praises next week
this time.

Jay Franze (01:06:19):
Will you be singing?

Tiffany Mason (01:06:21):
It's likely.

Jay Franze (01:06:23):
Sad part is it is likely.

Tiffany Mason (01:06:26):
Everything reminds me of a song, like just
all day long, and I have to keepit to myself.
I have to keep it bottled upevery time, every night here yes
, I've held it in all day longall week long.

Jay Franze (01:06:38):
It's fine, because you know what I wish I could
sing.
If I could sing, I'd be doingit as well.
But I can't say let's be real.

Tiffany Mason (01:06:45):
There's no part of it that shows I can sing Jay.

Jay Franze (01:06:50):
Well, let's rephrase it you have the courage to do
it on air.
So, even if I could, the factthat I can't sing and I don't
have the courage to do it on air, I can sing, but it's all.
One note I sing everywhere.

Tiffany Mason (01:07:08):
No, I sing.
You know they say like laughlike nobody's watching, dance
like nobody's watching, whateverthe sayings are, you know, I'm
just singing, my little heartjust overflows and I just got to
get it out.

Jay Franze (01:07:21):
That was your song earlier.

Tiffany Mason (01:07:23):
Oh, I Hope you Dance.

Jay Franze (01:07:24):
I Hope you Dance by Leigh-Anne Womack.

Tiffany Mason (01:07:27):
That's what I said.

Jay Franze (01:07:28):
Yeah, I was just reiterating Thank you All right
Before we go too far off therails what do you get going on?

Tiffany Mason (01:07:40):
this week we had another episode come out for our
new networking podcast, theLink Up Lounge.

Jay Franze (01:07:45):
Not for swingers for networking the Hook Up Lounge
right.
Is that what it is?

Tiffany Mason (01:07:51):
The Hook Up Lounge for swingers for
networking hookup lounge.
Right, it almost sounded likeyou said the hookah lounge yeah,
no, the hookup, hookup loungefor swingers no, it's the link
up lounge for networkers.
Same thing right no, no, but wetalked about having confidence

(01:08:11):
and I clearly exude confidencewhen I break out in a song
Swingers are probably the mostconfident people in the world.
Well, I don't know, I'm not aswinger, but I'm pretty darn
confident.

Jay Franze (01:08:24):
Maybe you could be a swinger.

Tiffany Mason (01:08:28):
Maybe if I could share my husband, but but I
can't bitch.

Jay Franze (01:08:32):
Better take her fingers off you were willing to
share them with me last week.
What was it, prince charming?

Tiffany Mason (01:08:40):
on my phone oh, oh, did I share his contact with
you and it was charming.
Just saying that's, that'sfunny.
That's funny.
He is Prince Charming on myphone.
For everybody who doesn't know,he's in there with a dual
meaning though, and he knows it.
So sometimes when he calls, I'mlike, oh, it's my little Prince

(01:09:01):
Charming, what does he need?
And I, you know hello.
And then other times he callsme and I'm like, oh, prince
Charming himself, what does hewant now?

Jay Franze (01:09:10):
See, you know why?
Because he's been married formore than four years.

Tiffany Mason (01:09:14):
A lot more.
Yeah, you're old 25 years inDecember Nice.
25 years.
I know I'm still hung up on theguy Like it's kind of
incredible.

Jay Franze (01:09:26):
In December.

Tiffany Mason (01:09:28):
Yep.

Jay Franze (01:09:29):
Our anniversary's in October, not mine and yours.
Mine and my wife Thank.

Tiffany Mason (01:09:34):
God, because I didn't know, we got married.

Jay Franze (01:09:37):
See You're swinging Mine and my wife.
We're October 24th, but thisyear will be 16.

Tiffany Mason (01:09:46):
Oh wow, you guys are in the thick of it.

Jay Franze (01:09:52):
Move on.
What else you got going on?

Tiffany Mason (01:09:58):
I heard Well, Jay , I am going to be a
bachelorette this weekend.
I get the house all to myself.
Wait, the swingers Nope.
But my husband and my daughterare leaving early tomorrow
morning.
They're going to head down toMiami.
They're going to take in theMorgan Wallen concert and I was
really bummed out when I heardthat Miranda Lambert's going to

(01:10:20):
be opening for him.

Jay Franze (01:10:21):
And.

Tiffany Mason (01:10:22):
Gavin Adcock yeah , I thought it was going to be
Ann Wilson, but it's MirandaLambert, that's what the tickets
say.
And also Gavin Adcock.
And I'm kind of surprised bythat, or not surprised, I'm kind
of jealous by that, because Iremember seeing his name all
over when we were at CMA Festand I was like, oh, I got to
check him out.
Oh, I got to check him out.
Well, now she's going to get tocheck him out before me.
So you know, whatever it's fine, but then they're actually

(01:10:46):
going to have one for a coupledays.

Jay Franze (01:10:48):
Whatever, it's fine.
It's not like my wife, heprobably stinks anyway, yeah,
yes.

Tiffany Mason (01:10:54):
So I got to take the trip with Hannah up to
Nashville, so he's going to takea trip down.
And I said what is this Are wetaking separate vacations now?
Yes, but it works out good forour dogs.
So that's just another expense.
So that's just another expense.

Jay Franze (01:11:07):
We do the same thing .
We have to board the dogs yeah.
We don't board them, we justleave them Put out enough food.
Put a few pee pads down.
They should be fine.

Tiffany Mason (01:11:16):
Yeah, hope they're still alive when you get
back.
It makes sense.
We have two, so that should befun, and we're about to get a
third.
I know.

Jay Franze (01:11:30):
Because we have two pets and now my daughter's
getting a service dog, so, oh,we're gonna have a lot of dogs
and the service dog's gonna bebig.
Yeah, a big dog.
It's gonna be like havinganother person in the house
uh-huh, after one of thehurricanes.

Tiffany Mason (01:11:39):
Um, they have relocated some of the dogs from
south florida up here to northflorida and so we thought, okay,
well, let's see.
You know we already have twodogs as well, but our dogs are
short so they don't like jump upon stuff.
Their tail doesn't wag and hitstuff, they don't anything.
So we tried to have this dogcome stay with us and I said
we've got to try it, though LikeI'm not sure we can do this.

(01:12:00):
So we brought the dog home andhe scared the living daylights
out of our middle kid, and ouroldest kid thought he was cool
but didn't want to help with himat all, and hannah just did not
like him.
So after, I think, five daysand a very, very, very scary
encounter at the dog park, I waslike no, I'm not doing this,

(01:12:21):
I'm out.
No, thank you.
So we did return him, feltterrible about it because I
never want to tease a dog likethat and we are dog lovers, but
it would not have been a funlife with him in our house.
We didn't have room for onemore.

Jay Franze (01:12:36):
All right.
Well, let's see this week.
Last Monday, a couple days ago,was it we?

Tiffany Mason (01:12:42):
talked to a band called Gradience.

Jay Franze (01:12:46):
The two of us you joined.

Tiffany Mason (01:12:47):
Yeah, you remembered.

Jay Franze (01:12:49):
You showed up.

Tiffany Mason (01:12:50):
I know it wasn't even a Wednesday it wasn't even
a Wednesday A band calledGradients.

Jay Franze (01:12:56):
They gave that rock feel to them.
So it was a very good group ofguys From your neck of the woods
, minnesota.
Yes, minnesota, even though youclaim it as home, but that's
all right Second home.
But they were a bunch of niceguys to talk to.
It was fun, a good time.

Tiffany Mason (01:13:18):
So I thought it was cool that they all went to
school for music, which made itso that they could produce their
own music.

Jay Franze (01:13:26):
Yes, I mean how cool is that they went to audio
engineering school which wasvery cool Because they said that
they went to college and theyall met in college, which you
know.
You think that they're sittingin some English class in science
or something.
Yeah, but no, they went to anaudio engineering school in
Minnesota which is no longeractive.

(01:13:48):
That program is no longer partof the school, which
unfortunately happens.
It's a very niche program, butthere are schools that
specialize in it, so Like FullSail.
Like Full Sail, like SAE, theconservatory, and then you get
the big school like Berkeley, berkeley College of Music.
But they can afford to keep aproduction program going because

(01:14:12):
they have their traditionalinstrumentation programs going,
because even full sale and saehave expanded to like multimedia
production and graphics andthose type of things yeah which
is sad, but the original, therecording, the recording
workshop.
They still have audioproduction as well.
That's a small school.

(01:14:34):
It's like a five-week program.

Tiffany Mason (01:14:39):
Yeah.
But it's still a cool school soif people tune in they get to
hear Darian and Ford and Trevorand John from the band Radiance.

Jay Franze (01:14:50):
I was impressed that you were going there and you
did it.
You pulled it out.
I'm impressed with you.
Oh, I don't know.
I love the fact that your mindis as warped as mine.
I don't know.

Tiffany Mason (01:15:04):
This is a lot of tangents.
It's a problem most of the time.

Jay Franze (01:15:06):
A lot of left turns Pretty cool, all right.
Well, we have reached the topof the time A lot of left turns.
