Through grief comes purpose. When Kaden Collins lost his grandmother to cancer on Valentine's Day 2020, he transformed his pain into something powerful – a platform where independent musicians could share their stories and build community. "We can't get anywhere without each other," Collins explains, his passion for connection evident throughout our conversation.

The journey from "The Spokane Man" to "The KGC Show" reveals how one question can redirect a creative path. When producer Jeff Panzer asked, "Why are you making a name for your city when you could be making a name for yourself?" Collins discovered his true direction. This moment of mentorship highlights the power of surrounding yourself with people who see your potential clearly.

Jay shares his own backstage story of spending Thanksgiving at Alison Krauss's house, sparking a discussion about her return to touring with Union Station after 14 years. The conversation flows naturally into venue preferences, with Tiffany favoring intimate settings for acoustic performances while Jay appreciates larger arenas for rock shows. Kaden's perspective as both a podcast host and music fan adds depth to this exploration of how setting shapes musical experience.

Our interactive segment on songs featuring girls' names brings out nostalgic favorites from "Beth" to "Sweet Caroline," demonstrating how music weaves through our personal histories. When Tiffany mentions not knowing Kiss's "Beth," Jay's playful "You're fired!" becomes the running joke of the evening, creating those authentic moments of friendship that make podcast conversations feel like sitting with old friends.

Beyond music, we delve into what holds value in our lives – literal and figurative. While Tiffany sees no appeal in expensive designer handbags, Jay admits his appreciation for quality bags and accessories. Kaden's passion for vinyl records and good food reveals how our spending habits reflect our deeper values. The conversation reminds us that quality matters most in the things we truly care about, whether that's music, relationships, or the creative work we put into the world.

Join us for this heartfelt exploration of music, memory, and meaning with Kaden Collins. Connect with us at jayfranze.com and discover how your own stories might find their perfect soundtrack.

Tiffany, do not answer now.
Wait until the segment.
All right, we have Mr.
Kaden Collins.
Kaden, sir, how are you?

Kaden Collins (01:29):
Jay, Tiffany, thank you for having me.
I'm doing great, great to bewith you guys tonight.

Jay Franze (01:33):
It is a blast to have you here tonight, sir,
because you have your own show, the KGC Show.
I said it slow so I would getit right KGC Show.
Go ahead and tell us what yourshow is about.

Kaden Collins (01:46):
Well, my show is basically giving a voice for
independent music artists, because we all start from
somewhere.
My thought, my belief is wecan't get anywhere without each
other and buildingcommunications and relationships
, and so I hope that my showrepresents the inside look at
the music industry the best wayit can.

Jay Franze (02:10):
That's really cool.
What inspired you to do that?

Kaden Collins (02:13):
Well, my grandmother passed away of
cancer in 2020 on Valentine'sDay, one of the hardest days of
my life, and I knew that Icouldn't make a sad story about
it because I don't want peopleto feel bad for me.
You know, when you are at theend of your life, you can't take
everything else, but you cantake the love with you.

(02:36):
But when my grandmother passedaway, I was real in shock that
it actually happened to beginwith, and you know, we knew that
she was going downhill, butstill, when it happened, it was
still a very hard time.
Well, I figured well, podcastwas big.
Back then, joe Rogan had justhit his mark with his podcast.

(02:59):
Who's this person?
Joe, who?
Just a little name by the nameof Joe Rogan, he said he's a
comedian right yeah, I think so.

Tiffany Mason (03:13):
I think so.
He's got a big platform.
I think it's from comedian work, yeah.

Kaden Collins (03:18):
I was watching Joe and asked how the heck is it
so hard to talk into amicrophone?
Let me see if I can do it.
And uh, I started.
The first episode I did was inhonor of my grandmother, to kind
of pay tribute.
And then a few days after that,I think it was kenny rogers
that passed away, and so then wedid another podcast.

(03:38):
So I basically started out asmore of a tribute podcast when I
found the art of interviews andkind of having other people
share their story.
Uh, I interviewed a guy by thename of blind joe.
Oh, he's visually impaired buthe can rock a guitar and he's
one of my best friends, so I hadhim as my first ever guest as

(04:03):
basically a test dummy, and therest is history.
Sure he loves that that'sawesome I love joe and joe joe,
he's.
Uh, he was actually on thevoice season nine.
Yeah, he gave a really reallycrappy rendition of mama's,
don't let the babies throw it tothe cowboys, and he would tell

(04:23):
you that himself.

Jay Franze (04:25):
Did any chairs turn?

Kaden Collins (04:26):
Yeah, he, uh, he was on team Blake and he got all
the way to the knockouts, so itcouldn't have been all that bad
, huh, no, but blind Joe, he's agreat talent, he's a great
friend and when I think aboutinspirational stories, I think
of blind Joe's one of the topthat's awesome stories I think
of.

Jay Franze (04:43):
Blind Joe as one of the top.
That's awesome.

Kaden Collins (04:45):
But how I got to be the KGC show is.
The original name of thepodcast was the Spokane man, and
that's because I was dumb andthought, hey, I live in Spokane
and I'm a man Spokane man, youare the man I like that title.
Well, I've received a very greatphone call and this was the

(05:06):
phone call that changed my life, and it was a guy by the name of
Jeff Panzer.
Jeff Panzer is probably notprobably is the greatest
producer that I know Music, videos, audio, whatever.
If you need it, jeff can do it,and he's amazing at anything he
actually puts his mind to.
And jeff called me one day andthis is just to show you our

(05:31):
type of relationship.
He calls me one day and he sayshey, what do you think you are?
He's in spokane in your name.
And I said man, I think it wassounding pretty cool.
He goes it makes you sound likeyou're some type of government
official type of thing.
But I'll never forget, I shallnever forget what he told me.
He said why are you making aname for your city when you

(05:54):
could be making a name foryourself?
And he asked me, he said what?
are your initials and I said KGC, Easy for you to say, not easy
for me to say.
I have it tattooed and I writeit down everywhere.
But he asked me, he said whatare your initials?
And I said KGC.
And he said about the KGCpodcast and he said eventually

(06:18):
we should just let go ofpodcasts.
And I remember, right there onthe phone I said what about the
KGC show?
And the rest is history.

Jay Franze (06:27):
That's awesome.
Well, he is a great man.
I absolutely love him.
He's been fantastic.
He's been a great friend, Verysupportive of this show as well.
So thank you, Jeff.
Kaden, sir, we would love tohave you stick around Any chance
we can get you to stick aroundfor the rest of the show.

Kaden Collins (06:45):
Hey, buddy, I'm here as long as you guys need me
, all right.

Jay Franze (06:52):
Well, let's go ahead and start with this story.
This story there's a timebefore my wife.
I don't know if you can imagineit, I can, but there was a time
before my wife and I was datingthis girl.
You know, you work in therecording studios.
I was working with Bob at thetime and we had this background

(07:12):
singer come in to work on thisrecord that we were doing.
So I started talking to her.
We became friendly.
We ended up dating.
We only went out on a few dates, but what's funny is later on
down the road we found out thatthe person my wife was dating at
the time and that person I wasdating.
We switched without knowing whoeach other were.

(07:33):
So I started dating this girl.
She was an amazing musician, amazing singer still is amazing
fiddle player.
She plays with some of thebiggest and the best.
She's out on the road right nowwith James Taylor.
I mean, she is just amazing.
She played with Vince Gill foryears, amy Grant for years.

Tiffany Mason (07:50):
Oh, wow.

Jay Franze (07:51):
But she wanted to take me to her friend's house
for Thanksgiving one year, so Isaid okay, sure.
So we went to this girl's house.
Happened to be Alison Krauss,so Alison Krauss is her best
friend, so we went to AlisonKrauss' house for Thanksgiving.
It was a great time.
She was a very nice person.
But what I thought was funnyabout that is I went into her

(08:14):
restroom and it was large, almost like a restaurant-style
restroom.
You walk in and it's large.
I walk in and she walks inbehind me and I'm like oh hi.

Tiffany Mason (08:24):
And she said Wait , your girlfriend or Allison no.

Jay Franze (08:27):
Allison Krauss walked in behind me and told me
I better take care of her friend, I better not hurt her friend.
So I thought that was nice andweird at the same time.
It was very cool.
I liked it.
She was a very nice person, butcome to find out that the girl
that I was dating was theoriginal person for Union
Station and when she had toleave she recommended her best

(08:50):
friend, which was Alison Krauss,to go take her place and that
became Alison Krauss and UnionStation.
The reason I mentioned that isbecause Alison Krauss and Union
Station are hitting the road forthe first time in 14 years.
So my question to you, misstiffany are you a fan of allison
crows?

Tiffany Mason (09:10):
yes, or should I say nothing at all?
You should say nothing.
Oh, ouch, that hurt, that hurtnice.
No, um, actually I saw in thenotes that you were going to
talk about Alison Krauss and Ihad to pull the song up and I
had to listen to it a coupletimes.
It's so good, nice.

Jay Franze (09:32):
Kaden sir, how about you?
Are you a fan of Alison Krauss?

Kaden Collins (09:35):
Well, yes, I know some of her music.

Jay Franze (09:37):
I might not be as fluent as a singer as Tiffany is
on some of her songs but singerTiffany is on some of her songs
, but I know Nice Well she ishitting the road after 14 years.
I didn't know she was off theroad for 14 years but she's
hitting the road for the firsttime in 14 years.
They are bluegrass legends.
I mean, they are an amazinggroup of musicians and living

(09:58):
here in Kentucky the bluegrassstate known for bluegrass music
I've been going to a lot ofbluegrass festivals so I'm kind
of interested to go see her.
I probably wouldn't have reallybeen that interested in seeing
her in the past, but now, beinghere and learning that
appreciation of bluegrass music,I think I would like to go see
her.
Tiffany, you think you're goingto find yourself going to see

(10:19):
Allison.

Tiffany Mason (10:22):
I don't know, I have a hard time paying the big
ticket prices.
Okay, let me split this comment.
Okay, if it's at one of the bigarenas, probably not.
If it's at a smaller arena, Idon't mind paying a little bit
more because it's kind of likethere's no bad seat in the venue
.
So then it's like, well then, even if I end up in the cheap

(10:42):
seats or the good seats orstanding room only, whatever, it
doesn't't really matter, likeall the seats are good, so then
I don't mind investing in it.
But I just feel like when theydo these stadiums like you know,
if they came to the tiaa bankstadium here in jacksonville and
you know you're up in thenosebleeds, like what's the
point?
You're just watching the tvscreen anyway I think that's
great for rock bands.

Jay Franze (11:03):
I love seeing rock bands in the stadiums.
I don't like seeing rock bandsin the smaller venues, but
someone like Alison Krauss, Ithink I would rather see in the
smaller venue.
Yeah for sure Like the size ofthe Ryman.
You know that size.
Yeah, 2,500 people, 5,000people, I think that'd be cool.
Kaden, what kind of venues areyou going to see shows in?

Kaden Collins (11:24):
I was just at a.
Do you guys know who LarryFleet is?
He's an amazing singer.
He actually had a song out withMorgan Wallen speaking of
stadiums called when I Found God.
He has a bunch of songs outcalled Earned it and stuff like
that.
In fact I recently did apodcast with his bass player.
He played at the casino up here, so I like going to the casino

(11:49):
for some shows.
But I also have seen Jelly Rollin the Spokane Arena, so I just
love live music in general.
I don't care where the venue is.

Jay Franze (11:59):
Yeah, I could see that.
I know we talk about it.
When artists come on forinterviews and stuff, we talk to
them about whether they likeperforming in arenas versus
stadiums.
To me that's just basicallyindoors versus outdoors.
I prefer indoors, but a lot ofthe country artists prefer
outdoors.
They like the stadium and it isa lot easier to mix a show

(12:19):
outdoors because you don't havereflections.
In most cases you don't havereflections, but when you're
indoors and when you're in astadium, not only do you have
reflections, not only is there alot of hard surfaces, but they
change throughout the nightbecause when you're doing your
sound check there's nobody inthe seats.
Once people are in the seats, now you get the body that
absorbs some of that.
So the sound changes as thenight goes on.

(12:41):
But I still prefer the stadium, especially for the bigger rock
bands.
I really think that's the bestway to see a rock band good food
for thought.

Tiffany Mason (12:51):
On that one, I could see that having the bigger
venue, there's more peopleright, so like if it's just
allison and her band, then itfeels like it should be more of
an intimate setting.

Jay Franze (13:00):
Plus, she sings, you know some of the ballads and
the slower songs plus, you'relooking for the venue to add to
the sound, like a smaller venuelike the Ryman would add to the
sound where a stadium would behard for a bluegrass band.

Tiffany Mason (13:14):
In my opinion, I remember listening to a podcast
about music and the evolution ofcreating music and whatever,
and one of the.
I want to say maybe it was inthe 50s when they started to
realize that they could use thereverb off of the walls of the.
I want to say maybe it was inthe 50s when they started to
realize that they could use thereverb off of the walls of the
studio to create the reverb, opposed to adding it in or
whatever.
And I thought, oh yeah, thatmakes sense.

(13:35):
But yeah, you know one of thosethings if you're not creating
music, you don't necessarilythink of it.
Or if you're not having to mixit, you know, on the fly you
wouldn't think of that there's astudio where there was a studio
in nashville called thetracking room and I used to
record there a lot with bob.

Jay Franze (13:52):
That was one of the places we would go to.
But that studio had a largelive room.
But then there was one roomthat had a rock wall and most
people would put a drummer inthat room because the
reflections off that rock wallsounded very cool.
But we, I guess, experimentedwith that room, so it was a fun

(14:12):
time.
It was good.
Yeah well, we got Joe here saysthat Allison's amazing, and you
got George here that says he'sbeen a fan from the start well,
I think we needed joe to clarify, because I'm pretty sure he was
saying I'm amazing tiffany'sthat you know what that makes
more sense now it really does, joe, can you?
Clarify you were talking abouttiffany, correct?

(14:34):
Right yeah, that makes moresense.
Crazy, crazy girl.
Oh wait, wait, wait, wait, wehave clarification.

Tiffany Mason (14:45):
Yes, yes, okay, thank you, joe, yeah, yeah, it
makes sense and I like beingright, so I get excited when I
start talking and people starttelling me I'm right and when I
tell you you're right and joetells you, yes, that you're, I
got it.
Yeah, it makes the mic a littlehot.
Okay Well, miss Miranda Lambertis releasing a new single and

(15:13):
it's called Run, and this is thesecond single from her upcoming
album Postcards from Texas, andit is described as a deeply
personal track and Mirandareflects on the end of a
relationship with introspectivelyrics.

Jay Franze (15:31):
So like a spinoff of Taylor Swift or oh no, don't do
it.
Do you like Miranda?
I really like Miranda.
She's one of my wife'sfavorites too.

Tiffany Mason (15:38):
Yeah, I like it.

Jay Franze (15:39):
How about you Kaden?
You like her?

Kaden Collins (15:42):
I love that Miranda.
She did a George Strait tributethe Cowboy Rides Away and she
came out and sang All my ExesLive in Texas and she did
amazing.
But I don't think, never mind.
But I love Miranda for what shedoes for country music because

(16:05):
every artist adds something toour genre and you know whether
we like the sound that they arebecoming now, it can't change
the past and the great catalogsthat she has.

Jay Franze (16:17):
Right, so hold on a second.
Does that mean you don't likethe direction she's going in now
?

Kaden Collins (16:24):
Yeah, I would much rather her go back to her
gunpowder and going in now.
Yeah, I would much rather hergo back to her gunpowder and
lead days, yeah, or the housethat built me, or over you, or
songs like that.
You know that really showcaseher voice.
I feel like today this is justme.
I just feel like today is moreinstruments than it is vocals in

(16:45):
some artists, but then in someartists you have traditional
sounding country music, but Ilove Miranda.

Jay Franze (16:53):
There you go, Miss Tiffany.
What are your thoughts on MissMiranda here?

Tiffany Mason (16:58):
I love me some, miss Miranda.
I love the House that Built Me.
I love that song so much itmakes me think of my childhood
home.
Yeah, that's another song.
When it comes on I gotta listento it.
Sometimes I love the song somuch I just gotta listen to a
couple times in a row.
And there's just certainnostalgic songs that do that,
and that's one of those for me,and I liked her with blake.

Jay Franze (17:19):
I really liked her with blake that did not seem
like a couple in my mind yeah, yeah, they did not seem like a
match.
She seems like a spitfire andhe seems like a goody two-shoes.

Tiffany Mason (17:31):
Yeah.

Kaden Collins (17:32):
That dude is about as tall as you can get.
That dude is larger than life.

Jay Franze (17:39):
I remember when I first moved to Nashville, some
of the people I was working withinvited me to go to a number
one party, and the number oneparty was for Blake.
I mean, he is tall.

Tiffany Mason (17:49):
I looked it up, he's 6'5".

Jay Franze (17:51):
Yeah, 6'5".
But yeah, this was in the daysof his cowboy hat and mullet.
It was cool, he was a nice guy.

Tiffany Mason (17:58):
Is that where the mullet comes from?
From Country Boys?
Because do they grow a mulletso that the hair fits under the
hat but it shows out the back?

Jay Franze (18:06):
I don't know, Kaden, you got a mullet going on over
there.

Kaden Collins (18:10):
I'm trying.
No, I don't know.
If you really want a mullet, gowatch Theo Vaughn, one of my
favorite comedians of all time.
Now, that's a mullet rightthere.

Tiffany Mason (18:21):
I bet he knows Joe.

Jay Franze (18:25):
He does know joe, yeah, oh for funny all right,
miss tiffany, sorry for takingyou on a tangent yeah, yeah, let
me focus here, okay.

Tiffany Mason (18:37):
So we got new music coming from russell
dickerson as well.
It's called happen to me andit's going to come out Monday.
Do you remember last week'sepisode?

Jay Franze (18:47):
No.

Tiffany Mason (18:47):
When I said they just picked these little, these
little segments of words andthey don't really make sense to
us until we realize that it's asegment in their song.
So I just think it'sinteresting.
I noted it last week and it'shappening again this week with
Mr Russell Dickerson, lady Gaga, she is releasing her seventh
studio album, mayhem, and canyou explain to me, jay, with all

(19:11):
your wisdom, why are theycalling it a studio album?
What else would it be?

Jay Franze (19:17):
It could be a live record.
You know studio albums.
When they plan to go in therecording studio they have songs
they've written for a purposeto put, say, 10 or 12 songs
together.

Tiffany Mason (19:27):
Isn't that like 99% of them?

Jay Franze (19:28):
Yeah, I would say most of them yes.

Tiffany Mason (19:31):
Do we need to say it's a studio album?

Jay Franze (19:35):
It is the term they use, but no, you're right, they
could just say she recorded anew album.
Right, right Just say live ifit's a live album.
That's what I think.
Now let me ask you about missgaga.

Tiffany Mason (19:52):
What are your thoughts on miss gaga?
Well, I fell in love with herafter, okay, a star is born.

Jay Franze (19:56):
I knew it, I knew that's where you're going.
That was a great song from thatmovie.

Tiffany Mason (19:59):
By the way, it was a great song but that movie,
by the way.
It was a great song, but I meanI feel like people aren't
giving her credit for the actingability.
I loved her in that movie.
I mean I gained so much respectfor her in that movie and now
when a movie comes out with herin it, I want to see it.

Jay Franze (20:16):
She was on the show Hot Ones.

Tiffany Mason (20:20):
Oh.

Jay Franze (20:22):
But, I get all my appreciation for her when I see
her outside of the music worldyou know in hot ones in the
movie, that type of stuff, whenyou see who she really is.
You know, that personality ofhers.

Kaden Collins (20:35):
I like anybody who is real.
So if you make real music andif you have a real heart about
you, then I'm all for you.
But if you can hide behind apersonality and I love Lady Gaga
, but are you going to see megoing out of my way to go listen
to Poker Face?
I don't think so.

Jay Franze (20:53):
Speaking of Poker Face, that song is covered quite
a bit.
There's so many people whocover that song.
A lot of bands do covers ofthat.
I think Hellstorm did a coverof Poker Face Definitely a
popular song.

Kaden Collins (21:08):
It's my brother's favorite song.

Jay Franze (21:10):
Okay, there you go.
Does your brother have a name?

Kaden Collins (21:15):
Yeah, his name is Matthew and he would kill me
for saying that.
All right, so that's why I saidthat.

Tiffany Mason (21:22):
It sounds like brotherly love.
There you go.

Jay Franze (21:24):
That's right, all right, miss Tiffany, sorry.

Tiffany Mason (21:26):
I was trying to look it up.
There was a Halloween joke awhile back about Poker Face, but
I can't remember what the jokewas.

Jay Franze (21:33):
I tried to look it up and I couldn't find it.
Wait, wait.

Tiffany Mason (21:38):
I got a buzzer tonight.
Okay, zach Bryan.
He is back on the market, ladies, because he is publicly
split from his fiancée, briannaLepaglia.
Lepaglia, sure, lepaglia, okay, but she is a podcaster,
actually, and she has a podcastnamed Chicken Fry.

(22:00):
So if you guys want to checkout who she is, that's how you
can find her.
I'm sure there's plenty ofimages from the last, however
long their relationship has beenas well, but that really
disappoints me, that they're nolonger a couple why, because I
have no idea who they are.

Jay Franze (22:16):
I don't know if you know what they are, but no, I'm
okay with it.
Sorry I'll.
I'll check out Chicken Fry,though it sounds like it could
be cool.

Tiffany Mason (22:26):
Zach Bryan is a country artist, right, yeah,
yeah, okay.
So you know who he is.
No, I mean okay.

Jay Franze (22:33):
Kaden, who's Zach Bryan buddy, you know him.

Kaden Collins (22:36):
He's a newer country singer.
That's all I know, that's all Iknow, that's it.

Tiffany Mason (22:46):
An, that's it An older country singer that you
will know is Carrie Underwoodman.

Jay Franze (22:47):
You called her old and she is returning to American
Idol.
She's not going to like that.
Well, you called her old.
You know she listens to theshow.
She's not going to like thatDid.

Tiffany Mason (22:53):
I say old and older and older oh.

Jay Franze (22:57):
Er, oh boy, let's move on, let's get past that.

Tiffany Mason (23:05):
She's returning to america.
An experienced artist, carrieunderwood, is returning.
She's replacing katie perry.
She was 21 when she auditionedfor american idol.
I thought she was going to beyounger yeah, I would have
thought so too yeah, I wouldhave thought like 18 or
something, I don't know 16.

Jay Franze (23:18):
Nah, I think like 18 but anyways, I'm actually gonna
miss katie perry yeah, Ithought she was good on the show
.
I will tell you that I didn'tlike Katy Perry before American
Idol, but again, it was herpersonality and stuff from
American Idol that made me likeher, and that's what made a lot
of other people not like her, which is crazy to me.
Oh.

(23:38):
Yeah, she got a bad rap forbeing on American Idol.
People seem to not really likeher too much for that.

Tiffany Mason (23:46):
Oh, that's weird.
Well, if you want to check outCarrie Underwood on American
Idol, it kicks off on thisSunday, the 9th, and it's going
to be season 23.
So look forward to so.
We've got the voice that hasalready started, and now we'll
have American Idol.

Jay Franze (24:02):
Now, do you think Carrie Underwood's going to be a
good judge?

Tiffany Mason (24:04):
I think she'll be too soft you think so.

Jay Franze (24:09):
Mm-hmm, I don't know , I don't get that from her.
I think her level of talentit's kind of like Blake on the
Voice, his level of talent gavehim that extra little bit of
ability to get in there andcritique people and be very
accurate with his critiques andstuff.

Kaden Collins (24:30):
I feel that, coming from her, Well, you know
I love Carrie Underwood, butwhen it comes down to her
judging ability, she can mentorthese artists because that's
where she got her start wasAmerican Idol.
So she can kind of coach themas if you know she's revisiting
those American Idol days.

Tiffany Mason (24:49):
Yeah right, Kaden , it's because she's easy on the
eyes.

Jay Franze (24:53):
She is easy on the eyes.

Kaden Collins (24:57):
And all joking aside, you know, I really think
that her and Luke being twocountry stars and they're both
funny Luke Bryan is stupidlyfunny.
I really like him, me too.
And then you add Lionel Richiein there, which that just adds
legendary status to itself.

Jay Franze (25:16):
He's another one.
That was funny.
You know, you learn to like himbecause he's on that show.

Kaden Collins (25:21):
Yeah, I just think that it's going to be a
great season.
I have total faith in Carrie, that she's going to deliver the
show, but you know what?
It's going to be different fromKaty Perry.

Jay Franze (25:33):
Yeah, I can see that Kaden's wearing his Tennessee
Titans hoodie tonight.
So, speaking of Tennessee, Isaw Lionel Richie by accident in
Tennessee.
My wife and I were walking downthe street when we had our
newborn.
So we're just walking down thestreet and somebody was trying
to hawk tickets you know scalperon the side of the road so we

(25:56):
thought there was a hockey gamegoing on.
So we bought tickets and wentin for the hockey game and it
was Lionel Richie.
How was that for a plot twist?
It was a plot twist, but it wasa good show.
We both liked Lionel.
It was fun.
George says she was good in herfirst show.
She's been very influential.

(26:17):
I agree, george, I do.
Question of the day.
I hope you had time to put youranswers in the chat.
If not, get on it.
What are some songs with girls'names in them?
What are some songs with girls'names in them?
All right, I'm going to kick itoff.

(26:38):
Give Kate a minute to thinkhere.
Give George a minute to starttyping.
George, come on, buddy, don'tlet us down now.
The very first one that comesto my mind well, now I say that
there's two, but the very firstone that came to my mind was
Kiss in the song Beth.

Tiffany Mason (26:58):
Ah, I don't know this song.
I'll have to look it up.
Tiffany Tiffany you're fired.

Jay Franze (27:09):
Again, Tiffany.
Come on, I don't know it.
Come on.
How do?
You not know that song?
That's like the one song thateverybody knows from Kiss.

Tiffany Mason (27:20):
I mean, maybe I know it, but I'd have to hear it
.
I don't know.

Jay Franze (27:23):
No, go ahead and listen to it, girl.
I'm not going to sing it to you, all right, kayden, give us a
song with a girl's name in it.

Kaden Collins (27:30):
I got two, delilah and Elvira.
Did you not listen?

Jay Franze (27:34):
to the rules it's like he's new here.

Kaden Collins (27:38):
Cut me some slack man All right, new here.

Jay Franze (27:40):
All right, fine, delilah and Elvira, and we're
gonna let it go because Georgeis right there with you.

Tiffany Mason (27:45):
He said Elvira all right, I'm not alone miss
Tiffany, my friend well, ofcourse, I think of myself right.
So every time there was a quitea while when I would introduce
myself and people would be, oh,you mean like breakfast at
Tiffany's?
And then that song came out andI said, what about breakfast?

Jay Franze (28:09):
That doesn't count.

Tiffany Mason (28:11):
Oh, it doesn't count.
Why doesn't that count?

Jay Franze (28:13):
Because Tiffany's is a store.

Tiffany Mason (28:17):
It has my name in it.

Jay Franze (28:19):
George tell me, if that counts, then the next one,
that came to mind was mandybarry manilow.

Tiffany Mason (28:31):
Yeah, I think that's.
Do you like barry manilow?
I don't know, I don't know verymany songs by barry manilow,
you might get fired again.

Jay Franze (28:37):
I begged my parents as a kid to take me to see Barry
Manilow, and they did.

Tiffany Mason (28:43):
I went to see Barry Manilow.

Jay Franze (28:45):
It was amazing.
It was a great concert.

Tiffany Mason (28:48):
Why did you want to see him?

Jay Franze (28:49):
I don't know.
He was good.
I liked the songs.
How old were you?
He's a great songwriter.
I was young, I was in middleschool, I was dating this girl
and you know know, we wenttogether with my parents.
It was a double date look atyou say that we were advanced
for our age taking the ladies tobarry manilow and lionel richie

Yeah, zach, he is my.

Jay Franze (29:28):
I think he's Zach please tell us in the chat if
that's right, Cadence, as it is,he says he knows you.

Kaden Collins (29:33):
Yes, I have very many schools with Zach and
Jolene, who he's referring tohis sister.
I have very many stories, butwell, just go look at his
YouTube channel there you go.

Jay Franze (29:46):
Maybe we'll come back around to hear some stories

stories, jolene is a great song.
He says you are like brothers.
Look at this, I'll get that Wow.

I just hit a button.

Tiffany Mason (30:21):

There's no way.
You don't know.
How can you not know?
I mean.

(30:45):
I wish we could play music onthis show.

Tiffany Mason (30:49):
I know, I know it's such a freaking bummer,
Because the second you hear ityou are instantly somewhere else
and you hear all the memory oryou see all the memories and
yeah, you know.

Jay Franze (31:00):
Steve Perry right, yeah, come on, george, you good

might laugh.
Is that what it is?

Tiffany Mason (31:43):
I sing all the time on air Kaden and I'm sure
people are like turning thespeaker down quick and the
volume turn it back up.

Kaden Collins (31:50):
Well, I just sound like I have a frog in my
throat.
That won't leave.

Tiffany Mason (31:55):
Yeah, that's what mine is too a frog in my throat
.
There you go.

Kaden Collins (31:57):
Glad we know that we're on the same page.

Jay Franze (32:02):
All right Miss.

Tiffany Mason (32:02):
Tiffany, give me another one Kathy's clown.
So my mom's name is Kathy and Iremember my mom listening to it
.
She's not a clown, wouldn't?

Jay Franze (32:11):
that have been awesome if she was, though If
she was like Bozo with a rednose.

Tiffany Mason (32:17):
It would have been pretty sweet, she went to
clown school.
She's the fifth clown thatcomes out of the car.

Jay Franze (32:27):
She's always the last one, she's always pulling
up the rear.
I don't know.
Oh, let's see here, charity, charity, says Little Suszy from
the band.
Tesla, not that one.
But that one works too.
I don't know, Is that the titleof that one though.

(32:49):
Or is it?
Wake Up Little Suzy Charity.
I like that one.
Tesla's a good band.
Steven says Jenny, yeah, that'sa good one.
Come on, tiffany, jenny, jenny,I've got your number.

Tiffany Mason (33:04):
eight, six, seven , five, three, oh nine.
Yeah, got it.
I didn't know, it's calledJenny.

Jay Franze (33:11):
I wrote a song with a girl's name.
Now that I think about it, Iwrote a song called Christine
about some girl I met on springbreak.
If If you really want to hearthat story, go to Spotify.
Do some searching.

Tiffany Mason (33:28):
I had Jessie's Girl.

Jay Franze (33:30):
Jessie's Girl.
There you go.
Now we're on a roll.

Tiffany Mason (33:33):
Okay.

Jay Franze (33:34):
Kaden's upset, because that was an easy one.
George says Angie by theRolling Stones there you go.
So we're getting there.

Tiffany Mason (33:43):
I'm failing on all levels.
Tiffany, you're fired.

Jay Franze (33:49):
Thank you, AI Trump.

Tiffany Mason (33:52):
I think it's going to be the theme During
this question.

Jay Franze (33:55):
It might be the title of the episode.
Cindy says Madeline by Winger, that was a good song.
Joe says Annie, there you go,they're coming in now they are
coming in now zach.

Tiffany Mason (34:11):
Zach says sweet caroline oh, you were reading my
mind theme song for boston it'sa theme song for every night
you're out drinking.

Jay Franze (34:21):
Oh, no, no from.
Boston.

Tiffany Mason (34:23):
Okay, it's from Boston.
But I met this little girl andher name was Carolyn and I was
like is it Carolyn or Caroline?
And her dad was like no,carolyn.
And I was like man, you almosthad a theme song for your kid,
but I think I would name akidoline just to have that song
be their song, but then theywould hate it yeah, like my

(34:46):
friend, jolene hates the song, jolene well, yeah, because she's
stealing dolly parton's van Ilove that one.

Kaden Collins (34:53):
It never fails that we will be out doing
something and evidently whenpeople hear that's her name,
they start singing that song toher I would have to and she?
She just looks at me like oh, Ijust know, tuck my tail and run
joe says suzy q.

Jay Franze (35:13):
I love suzy q because that's my grandmother's
name, or was my grandmother'sname, still is, she's just not
here anymore.
Margaret.
Margaret says come on, eileen, this is a late night show so I
guess, oh wait no it's spelleddifferently um who is it taxi
the midnight runners, yeah oh al, I'll go with al, because al

(35:37):
says lucy, and lucy is mydaughter.

Tiffany Mason (36:35):
Jolene and I'm going to end with this one.
I'm kind of excited that we'reending on this one.
I mean we don't have for thewhole segment but for my time is
Mary's Boy Child.
I interviewed this lady forChristmas songs and she was from
Canada and it was Mary's BoyChild and I do not have an

(36:56):
appreciation for this song butnonetheless it has a name in it
and Mary's Boy Child.
There you go.

Jay Franze (37:07):
George put one more in here, so let's go with
George's Stacey's mom, becauseshe's got it going on.

Tiffany Mason (37:15):
Yeah, she does.
Speaking of Dolly Parton, withthe song Jolene, her husband,
carl Dean, actually has passedaway, married for 60 years, wow.
And noting that, I think thatit's important to also say
acknowledge Gene Hackman and hiswife and Michelle Trachtenberg.

(37:36):
She was young right Influentialpeople Mm-hmm yeah.

Jay Franze (37:40):
How old was she?

Tiffany Mason (37:42):
Like in her 20s or something right, yeah, yeah,
and she's been in a ton of a tonof movies and a ton of like
disney shows and stuff that mykids watched kind of weird.
And then it's still such amystery with what happened to
gene hackman and his wife.
I think her name is betsy, so Iguess stay tuned to figure out
what's going on there what wassome?

(38:04):
of his bigger movies I mean I'mgonna have to get out the google
machine all right, well, I cangoogle while you move on well,
john stewart invited elon muskto the daily show, and john
stewart is trying to extend anolive branch for a sit-down
interview, sparking speculationabout the potential clash of

(38:27):
wits, and so we'll see how thatgoes down.

Jay Franze (38:30):
All right, gene Hackman, he was in Bonnie and
Clyde 1967.
Remember last week we talkedabout decades he was in the.
French.
Quarter 71.
The Poseidon Adventure 72.

Tiffany Mason (38:52):

Jay Franze (38:53):
What that was 1974.
The Conversation that lookedlike an artsy one.
He was in Night Moves Superman.

Tiffany Mason (39:04):
Yes 1978.

Jay Franze (39:09):
Here's the one he's most famous for.
I'm sure he can't be any morefamous than this one Hoosiers

Tiffany Mason (39:39):
about this thing you call basketball.

Jay Franze (39:40):
Oh, the quick and the dead.
The Royal Tenenbaums.
That's it, there you go.

Kaden Collins (40:31):

Tiffany Mason (40:33):
You are from the 60s, Jay.

Kaden Collins (40:35):

Call someone who cares.

Jay Franze (40:38):

they're going to unveil thetrack list on social media.

(41:12):
You're just getting to know thenames of the songs well, if
that's all they're doing, thenyes, I'm pulling up their photo
because I didn't know what helooked like.

Jay Franze (41:24):
If you're releasing the album track list, you're
just kind of hoping, I guess, tobuild up some anticipation
Entice.
There you go.
You're looking to entice peoplebased on the titles of the
songs.
Give them maybe a number ofsongs to look forward to.
Who knows?
Have they been Well, selena?
If you're listening of thesongs, give them maybe a number
of songs to look forward to.
Who knows, have they been well, selena?

Yes, if I listen to your story,I probably would know that the
he liked it.
He put a ring on it he liked it, put a ring on it.
All right.
What's he from?
Is he?
Is he popular for some reason?
I mean, I know what she does, but what's he do?
He is selena's arm candythere's got to be more to it
than that does there yeah Iwouldn't have to be.

Tiffany Mason (42:13):
I don't think so we all get different things out
of the.

Jay Franze (42:21):
He is a producer and songwriter yeah, I see that now
an american record producer.

Tiffany Mason (42:27):
Songwriter yeah, is she pregnant?
She kind of looked like in thatone picture yeah, and I see
another picture here where it'slooking like she's pregnant.

Jay Franze (42:36):
So maybe that's the reason why they're engaged.
Who knows?

Tiffany Mason (42:43):
I'm sure people are like duh.
She's been pregnant for ninemonths.

Jay Franze (42:47):
George, really, buddy.
Tiffany is a genius.
I thought we had something,george.

Tiffany Mason (42:53):
He sees through to the real me.

Jay Franze (42:58):
Somebody has to.
What is going on in your world,Miss Tiffany.

Tiffany Mason (43:06):
Well, Jay, you have been here, done this, but
my daughter is getting ready toturn 14 this week Monday.

Jay Franze (43:14):
Nice Happy birthday.

Tiffany Mason (43:15):
Hannah, yeah.
So I said, well, what do youwant to do for your birthday?
And she was like just like asleepover.
And I was like, oh sweet, because you know we've been
spending so much money on cheerthat I'm like oh, a cheap
birthday.

Jay Franze (43:32):
That sounds great and if you're listening, she
doesn't mean it in the way thatit sounds.

Tiffany Mason (43:35):
Yeah, I do, she knows it, never mind.
Oh, she knows because I toldher.
I said, well, I want to go seein Nashville and so I was like
we got to save up money for that.
You know, I was like if youdon't have anything that you're
just dying to do.
Other years she's been dying todo stuff, but she's getting a
little bit older now, you know14.
I mean, we're not gatheringaround the table blowing candles

(43:57):
out with unicorn balloons andbackground.
So keep the tradition alive.
We could I have a couple oftricks up my sleeve if she does
do a sleepover.
But then she started talkingabout, are you?
turning tricks.
Again, the lot lizard that I am.
No, I'm not, no, I'm not Okay, but yes, but she starts telling

(44:23):
me you know, like, but thisperson doesn't get along with
this person, and those two don'tlike that one.
And I like, well, what are yougonna do?
And then she was like well,I'll have a sleepover and then
we can go to fancy dinner.
And then, and I was like, whoa, whoa, whoa.
Now this is all adding up tothe same amount as if we did
something big.

Jay Franze (44:41):
Yeah, that's the way it works you know, my eldest,
the one that is currently 14,turns 15 this month.
Oh right, so we've got thatcoming.
I don't know what the plan isfor her.
You know she says, like you, something small maybe a couple
friends sleeping over which isgoing to turn into dinner

(45:02):
someplace, which is going toturn into something else but you
know what she deserves it Iknow we always succumb to
whatever she wants to do becauseshe's worth it.
She's a good kid yep, yep, oursis as well yeah happy birthday
to hannah.
Happy birthday to bella yeah, wow big month for us Kaden.

(45:24):
How about your kids?
Your kid's going to have abirthday today.
He found that to be funny.
The lucky man in the roomwithout kids.

Kaden Collins (45:36):
Gotcha Not today.

Jay Franze (45:38):

I hope you do, buddy.
It was good to have you heretonight.
Miss Tiffany, what else we gotgoing on?
What other stories can we bore?

Tiffany Mason (46:46):
people with.
Well, two things I actuallywant to know.
I want to tell you that whenyou get the button right, I feel
like you just played button.
Sound effect Russian roulette.

Jay Franze (46:56):
I really did.

Tiffany Mason (46:59):
And sometimes you get lucky and sometimes you
lose all your chips.
That's true.
Okay, and second of all, I wanta follow-up question to Bella
turning 15.
Does she get her permit?

Jay Franze (47:08):
I don't know if it's 15 and a half here.
I think it's 15 and a half whenyou get your permit here.
I'm not sure I'll have to checkthat.
But yeah, I know she's.
None of my kids have reallyshown an interest in driving,
but Bella lately has beenshowing an interest not only in
driving but like cars, likeshe's really getting into cars

(47:32):
oh, that's kind of cool I tookher to a car show last year.
We went to see one of the carsthat was on the jay leno show,
so, oh cool, that was prettycool.
We get to go talk to the guywho owned the vehicle and get to
hear the whole story behind thecar, as if we didn't just watch
the show.
Right, but we heard the storyagain.
He was a very nice guy.
It was a good time, but mydaughter I didn't think she

(47:55):
would even like going and youknow I didn't even know if she
liked it that night.
However, she's been collecting, you know, matchbox cars and
really looking into differentcars.
So who knows, maybe we will bebuying her a car shortly, I'm
sure.

Tiffany Mason (48:12):
Very awesome.
Good luck with the insurance onthat.

Jay Franze (48:15):
Yep $26,000 a month.

Tiffany Mason (48:18):
I'm expecting Roughly.
Yeah, You're in the rightballpark.

Jay Franze (48:22):
Kate and don't have kids.

Tiffany Mason (48:26):
No, they're very expensive.
Well, this past weekend I thinkI told you that I was going to
go to the beach on Saturday, which I did.
I did a little work in themorning, then I took myself to
the beach and then I had dinnerwith a friend and it really
stunk that.
The very next day I had to workour coffee peddler cart the
Florida coffee peddler and itwas so cold.

(48:48):
I had my winter coat on, withtwo shirts a long sleeve shirt
and a t-shirt.
I had my regular leggings on,plus, I had fleece leggings on,
socks, tennis shoes.
It was so cold.
I know we had the coldest breezecoming through where it was
like parting your hair.
Oh you, you don't have hair.

Jay Franze (49:10):
Sorry, I didn't mean to make you jealous I have it,
it's just not in the places youwould expect it rewind the tape.
Rewind the tape my glory holein my well, now, who's taking
your left turn?
Wait.
What was?
What was that quote from lastweek from the saturday night

(49:33):
live episode?
What was that?

Tiffany Mason (49:35):
this is the tragedy of your vagity.
Oh no, um, your smoke hole andyour blow hole, there you go.
What did she say?

Jay Franze (49:43):
no, no one mows the grass in the winter.

Tiffany Mason (49:48):
No one mows the grass in the winter no one mows
the grass in the winter am Iright, there you go so yes, I
just thought it was sointeresting that one day I was
on the beach and then the nextday I was freezing my tukus off.
And that's just kind of theweather like when your state
decides to transition to thenext season.
It's like that right.

(50:09):
Like it's like one day it'sfreezing and the next day it's
like the best day you've everhad, and then you go back to
being cold, yeah we have notolerance for it.

Jay Franze (50:18):
I mean, it's been warm here and then today it
snowed, so who knows?

Tiffany Mason (50:22):
Yeah, I know, I mean I'm sure it's not going to.
It's freaking rude.

Jay Franze (50:24):
It was just a little flurrier, Kaden, sir, who is?
When Words Fail, music Speaks.

Kaden Collins (50:29):
That is the great James Cox.
That's another podcast.
I called a bunch of my podcastbuddies and said, hey, get in
here and make me look good, I'mjust kidding.
There you go.

Jay Franze (50:39):
James buddy thank you for joining us tonight.
Please make sure you stickaround and maybe come back again
in the future, we would love tohave you.

Tiffany Mason (50:48):
It's weird, Kaden .
I said that to all my friendsand none of them showed you know
we're here.

Jay Franze (50:56):
This is it.
This is all you got.

Tiffany Mason (51:00):
My two best friends.
Thanks for showing up, guys.

Jay Franze (51:02):
Joe says Pennsylvania is the worst state
for season change.
They change daily.
Says Pennsylvania is the worststate for season change.

Tiffany Mason (51:08):
They change daily .
I love when they do like thewherever you live.
I feel like everybody does thismeme where it's like the four
seasons or it's like every dayof the week and they're all
different, or they say likeFebruary comes and March comes
and then April's like hold mybeer, you know, because it just

(51:31):
changes so much.
Uh, your biggest fan, Kaden.
Mr Joe, well, joe.

Kaden Collins (51:38):
Joe is more than just a friend, he's a brother,
you know, and in fact heactually got to open for two
young men by the name of CharlieDaniels and Daryl.
Singletary.
He actually got to open for themboth in concert and actually
got to spend a full day withDaryl Singletary.
He's just a historian withinhimself.
Joe is a great great.

(52:00):
This is a guy that you guysshould get on the show because
he's Joe.
Come on, let's set it up.
Buddy man.
He's by far way moreinteresting than I am.
He has those wood designs.

Jay Franze (52:11):
I was going to say more interesting than Tiffany.

Kaden Collins (52:12):
I was going to say, yeah, you're right Now that
you mention it.
But he makes wood carvingdesigns and he's really good at
it and I just think that hewould be a great addition to
this show.

Jay Franze (52:27):
We could use a logo carved in wood, joe, if you'd
like to do that for us, we'rehere.
We're here for you, buddy.
We are here to lend a helpinghand.
Ms Tiffany, what other storiesdid you go for this time?

Tiffany Mason (52:41):
Well, speaking of my little coffee cart, I went
and did the coffee peddler today.
Yes, the coffee peddler, I wentand did it.
Coffee peddler today.
Yes, the coffee peddler, I wentand did it today.
We had a big storm come through, so I just did table service
inside.
It was at the store, though, and it had all these expensive
refurbished handbags and notlike made in China, but it's
Louis Vuitton, but like realLouis Vuitton, okay, but I have

(53:04):
never understood this women'saffinity for these beautiful
bags.
Sean bought me this really niceMichael Kors bag a couple years
back, and I returned it.
Like I just expensive thingsdon't excite me.
I don't want to babysit them.
I want, like, if it getssomething spilled on it or a

(53:25):
snag or whatever, like I just Idon't want to worry about it, I
just want to keep doing my thingand I like it to be nice enough
, but I don't want it to bewhere I like sunk all this money
into it and I don't want to becommitted to that purse, like if
I did get a two thousand dollarpurse now I've got to use it
till the end of my life I'mreaching my pocket here for my

(53:48):
man card because I'm about tolose it.

Jay Franze (53:51):
I may as well just hand it over right now yeah,
yeah I, for whatever reason, love bags.
You know purses, backpacks, any, any type of bag.
But oh my goodness, I buy, I'mthe one that goes out and buys
my wife nice handbags and shedoesn't care, she doesn't want
them, doesn't care for them.

(54:11):
But I love bags.
I don't know what it is.

Tiffany Mason (54:16):
Is it leather?
Is it like?

Jay Franze (54:18):
how they're sewn.
Well, it's not just leather, because I have like a whole
bunch of backpacks.
I just like pockets.
I do like the good qualitystuff.

Tiffany Mason (54:28):
I don't like cheap backpacks and stuff yeah,
yeah, I was at this lady's houseum, on wednesday mornings I put
my little halo on and I godeliver food to senior citizens.
And I went to this one lady'shouse and she was so kind and
she had all these buttons out onher table and she was telling
me about all the buttons and Iwas genuinely interested.

(54:50):
In any story she had to tell meabout these buttons.
I was there for it, but she wastrying to be so generous and
she wanted to gift me these twobuttons but they were really,
really old and they were likelittle black balls sewn on to
little triangles of leather.
So they were old and she wasexplaining to me how they used

(55:13):
them to clasp the ladies' gloves, or she was saying how they
needed.
Like people who collect buttons, they are a hot commodity
because when people arereenacting things from the past,
they like the authentic buttonsand I guess that our underwear
used to be held together withbuttons.
Mine still is.

Jay Franze (55:34):
Because you're from the 1960s and a couple safety
pins and tinfoil here and there.

Tiffany Mason (55:41):
So we've got nice bags, but we've got holy
underwear.
Holy underwear, yes.

Jay Franze (55:46):
It's been blessed.
Got holy underwear it's beenblessed.

Tiffany Mason (55:53):
Yeah.
So I just thought it was sointeresting and wondered do you
have an expensive habit?
But maybe you have an expensivehabit and it's your handbags or
briefcases or backpacks orthose kind of things.

Jay Franze (56:03):
I do like all that stuff, but I do not think I've
had the same backpack forever.
It's something I got at Walmart.
Now, granted, it was $100 atWalmart.
I have no idea why a backpackat Walmart was $100.
What but it was the one Iwanted out of all of them.
My thing is not necessarilyexpensive habits, but I like

(56:24):
quality things.
So if I'm going to buysomething, I'd rather spend the
money, buy something quality onetime and keep it for a longer
period of time than buy a bunchof cheap crap and keep trading
it in.

Tiffany Mason (56:35):
Yes, yes.

Jay Franze (56:37):
But that's only with things I really care about.

Tiffany Mason (56:39):
Yes, okay, yes, I am a big fan of these tumblers.
I have like six of these and Ialways have water in them.
It's like a 32 ounce tumblerthat's thermal and insulated and
all that kind of stuff, becausedown here in Florida, I mean
literally, if you take abeverage outside, the ice is
gone in 22 seconds.

Jay Franze (56:58):
Okay, so you have to have these thermal Just a
minute ago you were sayingyou're freezing and you had on
extra layers of clothing.
Now the ice melts in 22 seconds.

Tiffany Mason (57:10):
Well, okay, for nine months out of the year, for
nine months out of the year, ice melts very, very fast, you
know.
But all the little boutiques intown, they put the vinyl
stickers on them because theycan make them with their Cricut
and, you know, customize themwhatever.
I never buy those, though.
I want something that's quality.
So I like when they're engravedin the tumbler or if it's like

(57:32):
actually painted on and notcrappy, painted on like enamel,
painted on like you can tellit's good quality.
So I agree with that, because Idon't want to replace them all
the time.
They're kind of spendy.
I'm willing to invest, but Ialso expect it then to last for
a while too, and the stuff withquality it gets like that patina

(57:53):
or like that comfortable oldsweatshirt feeling right, and I
like that that's the only reasonwhy I keep the wife around yeah
, that old nostalgic feeling, good idea he can do that.

Jay Franze (58:04):
I'm assuming he's talking about the woodworking,
but you know also think aboutthe show, joe.
So both of those thingswoodworking and the show you
know what?
You can.
Come on the show to show us thewoodwork See.
There, you go.

Tiffany Mason (58:20):
Incorporate two legs.
We're making it all cometogether.

Jay Franze (58:32):
But yes, to me the expensive things are only for
things I care about, like musicand the equipment and the stuff
I have.
I care about it, so I buy thegood stuff.
But if I was out, just you know, futzing around with, like you
said, your water bottles orsomething, I don't care about
water bottles, so just give mewhatever crap that's out there
yeah, I don't care very muchabout my handbag.

Tiffany Mason (58:49):
My handbag is $50 from Marshalls and it says it
was originally $100.
Whatever it's a handbag yeah,so it's nice leather.
It's got a nice leather strap.
It looks like quality, but I'mnot paying for the brand not
doing it, so stupid to me.

Jay Franze (59:06):
Kaden.
What's your advice?

Kaden Collins (59:09):
This is my purse right here.
This is all I carry around.
It looks nice.
My sister got it for me.

Jay Franze (59:16):
Thank you, sister.
Does sister have a name Peyton?

Kaden Collins (59:20):
Peyton Wolf.
She's my inner best friend.
What I mean by that is we couldgo anywhere together as a
family and we end up sittingright next to each other every
time.
We love each other.
My other sister, Shea, she'sright there with Peyton.
She's amazing as Peyton, andthose two keep me on my feet.

(59:42):
They keep me active.

Jay Franze (59:45):
She sits on your other side, and then your
brother sits across from me, andthen you realize you're at the
kids' table at Thanksgiving.

Kaden Collins (59:54):
Well, she's the reason why I haven't seen a
green dollar bill in a while.
They both are.

Jay Franze (01:00:00):
So what is it that you would spend your money on?
What's the one thing that youdon't mind spending a little
extra on?

Kaden Collins (01:00:08):
I know that this is a music show, so I'm just
going to say music, vinylrecords.

Jay Franze (01:00:12):
We say it's a music show.
We've spent the past 10 minutestalking about handbags, somehow
we took a serious left.
Well, food.

Kaden Collins (01:00:25):
There you go, food, I love food.

Jay Franze (01:00:27):
Dear God, I love food, you know.
Let me take a tangent for asecond, please.
Kaden mentions food At work.
We're trying to do this likehealthy initiative thing.
So they've got a scale and theyput the scale in my office.
I've got a scale in my officeand every Wednesday people come

(01:00:47):
in and weigh themselves and seeif they're losing weight, and I
haven't done a single thing totry to lose weight.
If anything, I feel like I'meating extra and I kid you not.
I have a like a good size deskdrawer that's on the side of my
desk and it comes out and thisgirl came in and poured an
entire thing of like all theleftover halloween candy.

(01:01:09):
So the desk drawer is justoverflowing of candy.
So I'm snacking on this candyall the time and somehow I've
lost 10 pounds wow, oh my gosh,I don't know if it's all the
coke.
I mean I'm sorry, I mean cola, Idon't know, I don't know what
the reason?
Is, but I'm losing weightwithout trying.
Don't get me wrong, Iappreciate that still.

Tiffany Mason (01:01:33):
Yeah, yeah, I want that diet.

Jay Franze (01:01:35):
So is it like.

Tiffany Mason (01:01:36):
Milky Ways Kit Kats.
It's Kit Kats.

Jay Franze (01:01:39):
It's licorice, it's Sour Patch Kids.

Tiffany Mason (01:01:43):
It's just a variety.
Put it all on the grocery list.
You know, kids are making candysalads now.

Jay Franze (01:01:49):
Yes, my kids do it all the time Every party they go
to there's a candy salad and Ilaughed about that, but then I
started eating out of it.
Joe says he wants the candyyeah.
That's the problem.
I want it now too.
I probably ate 26 Twizzlerstoday.

(01:02:09):
It's great we went for Mexicanfood today.
You like Mexican food?

Tiffany Mason (01:02:17):
I should have been born Mexican here we are.

Jay Franze (01:02:20):
We've become a culinary show.

Tiffany Mason (01:02:21):
now I'm taking a lot of tangents today.

Jay Franze (01:02:24):
But we went for Mexican.
My wife loves Mexican food.
I think she loves mexicans too,but we went for mexican food at
lunch day at work and I lovedit.
I just sat there and ate andthe people I went with I don't
think they really cared to bethere Kaden.

Tiffany Mason (01:02:41):
What do you order ?
What's your?
What's your go-to at a mexicanjoint?

Jay Franze (01:02:49):
what's your go-to at a mexican joint?

Kaden Collins (01:02:50):
food, I don't care, just give me food.
I like the free chips and salsa, yeah, fresh.

Tiffany Mason (01:02:52):
Yeah, free stuff my son introduced me to pollo
con orzo.
It's just chicken and rice, butI do love it.
I love it.
But I also like a little quesoon there too I like the ones
that come served in pineapple.

Jay Franze (01:03:08):
You know there's a thai dish that comes served in
pineapple, pineapple rice withshrimp and chicken.
But then there's also at themexican restaurant.
It's a burrito that's gotpineapple and cheese and stuff
covered on it and it's gotchorizo and shrimp and stuff.
It's just just good.

Kaden Collins (01:03:26):
I'm going to have to go get food after this.

Tiffany Mason (01:03:29):
I know it's making me hungry.

Jay Franze (01:03:32):
James spends way too much money on music.

Kaden Collins (01:03:34):
And he is also a great artist himself too.
He is very good too.
I can see why he says that hespends a lot of money on music.

Jay Franze (01:03:43):
