The Joe Mangiacotti Show – Opening Segment – March 27, 2025

WCRN 830 AM – “Common Sense Conversation for the Common Sense Citizen”

Well, good afternoon, New England! Welcome to The Joe Mangiacotti Show—right here on WCRN 830 AM, the powerhouse that covers all of New England from the center of the dial, the center of information, and the center of common sense!

Folks, we have a jam-packed show today—there’s a lot happening in this country, and I’m gonna say it right now: If you believe in the Constitution, if you believe in law and order, and if you still believe in good ol’ common sense—this next hour is for you. Buckle up.

Let’s start with this ICE arrest at Tufts University. Now, I don’t know about you, but I was always under the impression that when you come to this country on a visa, that visa comes with some conditions. One of them is you don’t engage in activities supporting terrorist organizations like Hamas. That’s not controversial, that’s just basic national security!

But now, we’ve got a Tufts grad student, Rumeysa Ozturk, a Turkish national, who was picked up by ICE, and the left is screaming bloody murder because she was detained. Oh, how dare we enforce immigration laws! Massachusetts Attorney General Andrea Campbell—who, let’s be honest, never misses an opportunity to pander to the radical left—called it “disturbing.” What’s disturbing is having foreign nationals on U.S. soil supporting Hamas and expecting zero consequences.

Listen, a visa isn’t a right—it’s a privilege. If you break the rules, you don’t get to stay. Period. It’s not complicated, folks! If she were an American citizen, we’d be having a different conversation, but she’s not. ICE did their job.

And let’s be clear—if the Trump administration were still in charge, she’d already be on a plane back to Turkey, no questions asked. Instead, the Biden administration—whose entire immigration policy can be summed up as “Let’s do the opposite of what makes sense”—has this judge stepping in and slowing down the process.

Speaking of Trump, let’s talk about those new tariffs. This is one of those times where you really see the difference between an America First policy and the globalist nonsense we’ve been fed for decades.

Trump just announced a 25% tariff on all foreign-made cars, and naturally, the usual suspects—the EU, the left-wing economists, the corporate media—they’re all losing their minds.

Now, let me ask you something: Why is it that every time a president does something to help American workers, the left panics? Tariffs are bad? Really? Because I seem to recall that before NAFTA and all these disastrous trade deals, America was making cars, making steel, making just about everything. Now, we’ve got foreign companies making our vehicles and parts, and we’re just supposed to accept it?

Trump’s got the right idea here: If you want to sell your cars in America, build them in America. It’s that simple. No tariff if you build here. And the government expects to pull in $100 billion from this move! That’s $100 billion going into our economy instead of padding the profits of foreign companies. How is that a bad thing?

Of course, the Biden administration and their media lapdogs will scream that this will raise prices, but they said th
