The Joe Mangiacotti Show — Opening Segment Broadcast Date: Wednesday, April 17, 2025 Segment Title: Common Sense Isn’t Dead — But It’s Being Ignored "From the center of the dial, the center of New England, and the center of common sense — you’re listening to The Joe Mangiacotti Show. I’m your host, Joe Mangiacotti. Welcome in, Patriots." Let me ask you this — since when did enforcing the law become controversial? Because based on the numbers, most Americans — Democrats, Republicans, Independents, you name it — agree: if you’re a criminal and you're not a citizen, you don’t belong in this country. Period. That’s not radical. That’s not far-right. That’s common sense. According to a brand-new Rasmussen poll, a whopping 56% of likely voters — that’s over half the country — say it’s very important to deport criminal migrants. Only 5% said it’s not important at all. Five percent. That’s less than your average margin of error. And here’s where it gets interesting: 43% of Democrats say deportation of criminal migrants is very important. So this isn’t just a conservative issue. It’s a national law-and-order consensus. But while the voters are united, Washington is once again off doing its own thing. STORY #1 – The Criminal Migrant Poll • Rasmussen (April 15–17): 56% of voters want criminal migrants deported; only 5% disagree. • Even among Democrats, 43% say it’s very important. • Majorities of Hispanic and Black voters agree with that stance. • Takeaway? This isn’t about race. It’s about safety. It’s about sovereignty. STORY #2 – Trump’s Message on Deportation • Trump’s hammering this issue on social media: “How can Biden let millions of criminals into our Country… yet I’m expected to go through a lengthy legal process, one by one?” • Trump warns: “You can’t give every criminal alien a trial — that would take 200 years.” • He’s right. The current system isn’t just broken — it’s insane. STORY #3 – Bukele Speaks Truth to Power • El Salvador’s President Nayib Bukele met with Trump and made it plain: “You cannot just free the criminals and think crime is going to go down magically… imprison them so you can liberate 350 million Americans.” • 43% of Americans strongly agreed with Bukele. • He’s not wrong. Crime is oppression. Enforcing the law is liberation. STORY #4 – Rep. Maxwell Frost & MS-13 • Rep. Frost (D-FL), along with 3 other progressive lawmakers, is in El Salvador — not to thank Bukele for jailing gang members, no — they’re there to pressure him to release Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a confirmed MS-13 gang member, whose own wife says he beat her. • DHS has already confirmed Garcia's gang ties. Two immigration judges ruled the same. • But Frost & friends say he should be released because... well, we’re not really sure why. • Then it gets worse: Bukele calls out Frost for a 2016 tweet that seemed to glorify gang culture: “fuckin wit my gang gon get u spilled” • Frost says it’s just a rap lyric. Maybe. But it’s a bad look when you’re advocating for gang members while quoting gang lingo. STORY #5 – Tesla Vandal in Minnesota Gets Diversion • And meanwhile, here at home in Minnesota, we’ve got Tem Waltz — son of the governor — caught vandalizing a Tesla in broad daylight. • What happens? He’s not charged. Gets diversion. • So let me get this straight… if you vandalize someone’s property, you get a second chance. But if you’re a law-abiding citizen questioning your government, you’re labeled a domestic threat? • Again — this is about law and order. And double standards. Common Sense Commentary Folks, we are a nation of laws. Not of exceptions. Not of "diversions" for the elite. Not of "compassion" for criminal gangs while Americans suffer. When a majority of voters across all races and parties say they want criminals removed — when even foreign presidents like Bukele sound more American than some of our own lawmakers — it’s time we ask: who are our leaders really listening to? Because they’re not listening to us. Insightful Questio
