Speaker 1 (00:11):
This is the Jose show
, and welcome to another
exciting episode of the Joseshow.
I am your host, jose Roldan Jr.
In tonight's episode we'regoing to be talking about the
movie Sound of Freedom by AngelStudios, which is based in Provo
(00:34):
, utah.
So the other day the wife and Iwas watching TV and we saw the
commercial for Sound of FreedomAnd basically this movie is
about, like, sex traffickingchildren.
Basically That's all we see inhere is about children.
So we decided, hey, you knowwhat.
They're going to show it onJuly 4th.
So here it is July 4th This iswhen this episode is recorded
(00:59):
And a few days ago I bought thetickets because my wife really
expressed interest in seeingthis movie.
Now this movie stars JimCaviesel, mita Sorvino, bill
Camp, jose Zuniga, kurt Fullerand many other actors.
So I really liked this movie.
And when I say that I liked themovie, it's not like watching,
(01:21):
say, a Spider-Man movie andgoing, wow, man, i really like
this Spider-Man movie, becauseit's not that type of movie to
like, like, if you understandwhat I'm saying.
This movie was well puttogether And it kind of opened
my eyes to what's actually goingon around the world And even
(01:44):
here in our front doors, ourback doors, in our own cities.
I mean I didn't realize thatthere is this much human sex
trafficking going on.
I mean it's vile, it'sdisgusting.
And for people to do this kindof crap, it's just not right,
kidnapping people.
(02:05):
Now, when you go to see thismovie so we went and seen it
when you go to see this movie, make sure you stay during the
credits, because there is alittle bit of a footage at the
end by Jim Caviesel that he'stalking about the film.
So make sure you stay.
And anyway, let's get back tothe movie.
This movie literally justopened our eyes.
(02:27):
Like I didn't realize there wasso many children that were
human trafficked.
I mean, yes, i've heard of itAnd but it's just, it's
disgusting.
People that do this kind ofstuff, in my opinion, need to be
taken out of the pasture andtaken care of.
You know I'm just trying to benice and to the point, but
people like this you can'trehabilitate them.
(02:48):
I mean it's just in their mind.
They're sick, they're evil.
To do stuff to kids, to havesex with kids, that is just
gross.
And people like that, i'm sorry, they just they need to be six
foot under.
That's, i'm just, i'm justbeing honest here Six foot under
is the best place for them, andthis movie, sound of Freedom,
(03:11):
is based on a true story.
Now Angel Studios also does TheChosen, and that's about Jesus,
so basically about his life.
So you have to check that outas well.
But the actors did a stellarperformance And basically it's
not really about them.
It's about the brother andsister in this film, and you
(03:34):
know it's.
It shows you how much love thata little brother and sister
have for each other, and when wewent to the theater, there was
quite a few people.
If I had to estimate, just inour one theater I would say
there was close to a hundredpeople.
Now I read online that theyhave sold over two million
(03:55):
tickets, which that's a That's.
That's a lot.
Now, is this a faith-based film?
It's from a faith-based studio,but I don't necessarily know if
you would actually call this afaith-based film.
I guess you could say that Now.
I had asked before when I wasdoing a podcast About
(04:16):
faith-based films do allfaith-based films have
Christians in them?
and they said no, it's just,it's a job They're getting paid.
Now, jim Cavizel He is adevoted Catholic and that's cool
.
Nothing wrong with that.
But I definitely would urgeEverybody that had the chance.
If you can go see this movie, gosee it because it will
(04:40):
definitely, definitely, definitely open your eyes to
what's going on.
You know, basically, if, ifyou're in any country or any
state and if you see somethinglike this going on, you see
somebody kidnapped They'rekidnapping adults out in freakin
daylight.
Never Under estimate people, people anymore, or just pure
(05:01):
evil.
Never leave your kidsunattended, because the moment
you do, somebody could be therewatching and They will literally
take their kids from you andthe possibility of you ever
seeing them again It's gonna bevery, very slim.
And you know, when these kidsare taken they're groomed and
(05:22):
Basically, they're sold intoslavery.
It is a form of slavery.
Now I have a few statistics thatI wrote down.
So for human trafficking It isa hundred and fifty billion
dollar a year.
Industry a hundred and fiftybillion dollar a year.
That's a lot of freaking moneyfor basically slavery.
(05:42):
That it's sickening.
And Part of this industry 80%are forced to labor.
Set means that they'rebasically Working or doing
something and obviously notgetting paid.
Pretty sure they're gettinghardly any food to get by with
and what little sleep they get.
They, they cherish it and 20%is basically for sex, and That
(06:06):
that's just gross.
I mean, to send a lady or evena child off to be Handled like
that, to be forced to having sexwhen they're not wanting to,
that's considered rape andthat's just gross.
I just I can't understand.
I don't understand the mind ofsomebody that does this, and I'm
(06:27):
pretty sure that a lot of thesepeople that do this, or
High-profile people that youdon't even know, and that's even
sicker, somebody that you wouldtrust It could be anybody, from
a preacher, a police officer, afireman, heck, even a worker at
an amusement park.
It could be anybody.
So always make sure You keepyour eyes open, you watch who
(06:50):
your kids go over, make sure youcheck out their parents,
because that's the worst thingis to send your kids into danger
, send them to somebody's housethat you don't know.
So make sure you get to knowthe family and know them very
well, because You do not want tolose your children.
Man, but this is just crazy.
(07:12):
I just, i just don't understandThe magnitude of all these
Kidnappings.
So another statistic that Ilooked up basically 1.2 million
people children, adults areKidnapped, our human trafficked
a year.
(07:33):
1.2 million, that is justmind-blowing.
That is just staggering, thatthat many people are taken into
this industry.
And You know, basically thismovie sound of freedom, takes
you on this journey of what Theactor, the head actor, did when
(07:55):
he went in to rescue this onedaughter and It's just amazing
at what all he accomplished.
And you know, i I give themkudos for making a film like
this to basically stand upagainst these sex trafficking
people, because it is.
It is vile, it's disgusting.
(08:16):
And You know, are we gonna wipethis off the face of the earth?
Probably not.
It's just gonna be one of thosethings that's gonna continue to
happen.
But you know, just stay alert.
If you hear something, saysomething.
Don't sit there and beat aroundthe bush and wait For things to
happen.
Like I said, guard yourchildren with your heart.
Never let them out of yoursight when you're in public.
(08:38):
Always hold their hands if theygot to go to the bathroom, even
if even at a younger age, sayeight or nine, don't send them
alone.
It's different than when I wasa kid.
Make sure you go with them.
Your children are your best andcherished loved ones.
Don't let them go any placealone.
I Applore you, i plead with you, just just don't do this.
(09:02):
So if you get a chance to watchsound of freedom, it's
definitely worth the watch andShare it with all your friends,
tell them about it, find outwhat theater that it's playing
in your area.
You won't be disappointed andWhen you walk out You're gonna
(09:23):
be staggered at like wow, Ididn't realize this stuff
actually happens, or the to themagnitude that it happens.
It's just crazy.
So, all right, folks, thank youfor listening to this review
and we're gonna go ahead andswitch gears and talk about
another movie.
Stay tuned.
All right, folks.
(09:45):
So let's talk about the movieBarbie.
That's gonna be coming out July7th 2023.
It's gonna be starring MargoteRobbie and Ryan Gosling.
Hope I pronounced Margots name,right?
sorry if I didn't, but you knowI remember back in the day I
had friends that had Barbiedolls and Ken dolls and stuff
(10:07):
like that, and you know theyused to dress them and you know,
pretend like they were Barbieand talk, talk with them and
talk to them and put Them in allkinds of different poses.
But now there's gonna be alive-action movie and you know
it's funny.
I'm definitely gonna go see this.
I just want to see how it playsout.
I wonder if this thing is gonnalike break all box office
(10:28):
records and earn a ton of money.
Now will.
Farrell is also in this, and sois John Cena.
I mean, obviously they're in itfor the money, because That's
just crazy, hey, what?
I mean, everybody that's makingmovies is in it for the money,
but I Don't know.
We'll have to see how thisplays out to see if this movie
(10:49):
is gonna be worth It's weight ingold.
I don't know, we'll see, butdefinitely I'm gonna wait till
it comes out and maybe wait aweek or two Before I go see it,
because I just kind of like towait when there's not a lot of
people in the theater And I havea feeling that Barbie is gonna
be really crowded, and I'm justnot really into a lot of crowds,
(11:11):
and that's just me.
So we'll see.
So if you're gonna go seeBarbie, hit me up, send me a
message.
I just like to know.
All right, so we're gonna goahead and Switch again and we're
gonna talk about another film, all right?
the next movie that I want totalk about?
We saw this on Hulu and it'salso on Disney, plus Flamin' Hot
(11:35):
, directed by Eva Longoria, andIt actually is starring Jesse
Garcia.
So basically this is a storyabout how the flaming hot
Cheetos came about.
Now I was reading some articlesonline and Frito lay said
Richard Montanus didn't have ahand in creating The Flamin' Hot
(11:59):
Cheetos but yet he said he did.
But it's funny because in themovie They use Frito lay all
there.
You know, they even show theold Frito lay bags that the
Doritos in and all that stuff.
So if he didn't actually inventthat, why did he say he did?
But yet he retired from Fritolay.
So it doesn't make sense.
(12:20):
But it was a really good movieand I know I've tried those
flaming hot Cheetos back in thepast and Man them.
Things will light your tummy onfire and I can imagine You know
what would happen if you ate aton of those Exactly.
So I don't know if I want toget get into that eating those,
(12:41):
but check it out.
It's on Hulu and Disney plus.
Uh, flaming hot.
I guarantee you will like thismovie.
It's very it's it's kind ofserious and it does have some
Comedy into it as well.
So check it out.
I hope you enjoy it And we'regonna go ahead and take a
commercial break.
(13:01):

And welcome back to the hoseshow.
I am your host.
Hose roll, dan jr.
Okay, so now we're going to talkabout a reality tv show on
paramount plus and it's calledthe Family Stallone.
(14:11):
Yes, we're talking aboutSylvester Stallone from the
Tulsa king, and so this uh,basically documentary type story
has obviously SylvesterStallone, jennifer Flavin, which
is his wife, sophia Sistine andScarlett, which is their
daughters, frank Stallone, whichis Sylvester's brother, arnold
(14:35):
Schwarzenegger, dolph Lundgrenis in it and basically it just
goes over the life of theStallone family and you see
actually pictures of Sylvesterwhen he was younger.
These are pictures that youwould never see unless you've
known the family and you wereover their house.
Now I do know they have a housein California and in Florida,
(14:57):
so that's pretty good.
I didn't know Stallone livedhere in Florida.
I guess if he does movies downhere it's just kind of nice to
have your own house.
Now this movie is on ParamountPlus and I think right now they
have six episodes.
But it's just pretty cool.
Is it scripted?
I have no idea.
I'm pretty sure most of thesereality shows have some part of
(15:18):
scripted in them, if that's sucha word.
But it's actually pretty cool.
I just I like watching stufflike this.
I like seeing how the otherside of the coin, how they live.
Obviously they live a morelavish lifestyle than me.
That's because I got more moneythan me.
I don't have that kind of money.
I'm a hundred-air.
(15:38):
I'm not a millionaire or abillionaire like some of these
people are.
But check it out.
It's on Paramount Plus.
And if you like StavestraStallone, you got to check out
Tulsa King.
Season one is already over.
I don't know when season two iscoming out, but it is.
It is like a good show.
Stavestra Stallone is a greatactor.
(15:59):
I mean this guy, for his age,he still got it.
Man, he is still one toughcookie.
You don't want to mess withthis guy, but it is worth a
watch.
The wife and I like it and Ijust say, watch it if you get a
chance.
And you know, i know ParamountPlus.
You do have to pay a premiumfor it.
(16:19):
I think I pay like $4.95 amonth or something like that.
That's just up to you.
I mean, if you see series thatyou want to watch on there, what
I suggest doing is just gettingit for a month and binge
everything that you want andthen cancel it.
That's what a lot of people do.
All right, folks, we're going tofind something else to talk
(16:40):
about, so stay tuned, all right.
So what is that other stuff Iwant to talk about?
Yes, okay.
So here, lately I've had thisobsession to watch Hoarders on
Netflix.
And you're probably saying whydo you like to watch Hoarders?
I don't know, it's just, it'sjust weird to see how certain
(17:00):
people live.
I mean, i'm not saying that I'mperfect, because I'm not, but I
can't imagine walking to thesepeople's houses where you can
hardly walk because you can'tsee the floor.
I remember years ago, when Iwas younger, we had a family
that actually had a housesimilar to that, where you could
barely see their floor, and wewere kind of good friends with
(17:22):
them And but we obviously neverreally went over because it's
just something that I guess myparents really didn't want to
deal with, and now, as I'm as anadult, i really wouldn't want
to deal with it either.
But it's just amazing that thisis just something in your head
that causes you to want to haveeverything and not get rid of it
(17:45):
, because every piece to me itseems like it has sentimental
value.
Why do I want to get rid ofthis cookbook?
because it's got good recipes.
Or I've had this teddy bearever since I was a kid.
Or this board game.
I don't want to get rid of it,but yet it's got rat poop all
over it.
So watching these episodes, some of the places were really
(18:07):
gross from having, like dog poopall over the floor rat feces.
I just don't see how some ofthese people live.
It's really kind of gross anddefinitely they do have a mental
disorder And you know, hopefully they can get that
fixed.
I know it's got to be hard, especially if you've been
hoarding for 15, 20 years, toget out of that mindset.
(18:30):
And I know a lot of times whenwe get set in our mind It's kind
of hard to change.
Even me, if I get set in mymind, it's kind of hard to
change things.
You definitely just got tothink about it.
And if you pray, pray about it.
See, you know a psychiatrist totalk it over or whatever you do
.
You know, find a friend thatyou can confide in, that that's
not going to go blab and and saywhoa, whoa, somebody has a
(18:54):
hoarding disorder, but I justdon't want to say the name.
But then you tell them the nameand then next thing you know
It's all over a Facebook andit's, you know, gossip central
and everybody's talking aboutyou and that.
So, definitely, if you have ahoarding disorder, get checked
out, talk to a therapist.
But if you want to watchhoarders, it is on Netflix right
(19:14):
now.
I don't know how many episodesthey have or seasons.
Excuse me, but I'm thinkingthey're up to 20.
I may be wrong on that.
I would have to look it up, butI don't really have time to
look it up.
But check out hoarders if youlike, stop, if you like stuff
like that.
So I know this episode has beenkind of different because I've
been talking about series thatI've been watching and movies
(19:35):
And you know, sometimes I justgot to change it up.
I've been doing a lot latelywith acting and filming and
being behind the scenes and infront of the camera, so here
lately it's just been reallyhard to come up with anybody to
be on the show and I doapologize for that.
It's just it's a lot of workand I've had a lot of stress and
But I do appreciate those thathave listened and that will
(19:58):
continue to listen as I continueto try to pump out new episodes
.
I do hope people enjoy them.
I enjoy creating them.
It's just something that I'vewanted to do for a long time And
I'm hoping to one day getanother co-host to help me
because it's easier when youhave somebody to bounce off
ideas or our thoughts orquestions and obviously it makes
(20:21):
the podcast a lot better andpeople seem to like when there's
more than one person talkingand Eventually that will come.
I know my friend Victor.
He's helped me out quite a bitand when he gets moved to
Florida Hopefully soon He'll beback on because Victor is
actually pretty cool and I enjoytalking to him and you know
(20:42):
it's cool because we can bounceoff ideas with each other and
That's what makes the world goround.
So, anyway, check out thesemovies when you get a chance,
check out these series.
It's not for everybody, that'sjust what I like.
You know what can I say?
I'm kind of corny when it comesto watching certain types of
(21:03):
shows, certain types of movies, and I found myself kind of
sleeping a little bit in thetheater, not because the movie
Sound of freedom was bad, i wasjust really tired.
So my wife kept nudging me andall that stuff.
But that's what wives are goodfor they help keep you awake.
And definitely She kept meawake because I would have been
(21:24):
out.
I just had a long four days onset and About being a zombie.
So I have to tell you that inanother episode, what was it
like?
getting into makeup to be azombie?
It was actually pretty cool, but that will be another episode
.
So once again, folks, i'd liketo thank you for listening and
(21:47):
please share these episodes withyour friends and Family.
And you know it's cool that Iactually have people all around
the world that listen to mypodcast.
So you folks have a goodevening and You know, if you
live here in the Florida area, make sure you drink lots of
water, because we're gonna havea freaking hot Summer.
(22:07):
I can, i can feel it already.
I mean, it's like just steaminghot, even at night.
I was up this morning at 1 30taking my dogs out To use the
bathroom and, my goodness, itwas hot, like it was freaking
hot.
So it's crazy out there.
All right, folks, have a goodday.
Please remember to share thisepisode with your friends,
families and your enemies.
(22:29):
