Wellness is a trillion dollar industry today, but have you ever wondered about the origins of our modern day wellness? Buckle up because today I tell Mao how wellness started out with medicine shows and snake oil in the 1800's (no snakes were harmed)! And then Mao tells me how modern wellness has become "goop-ified" in the image of Gwyneth Paltrow. And spoiler alert, it's not so far from the snake oil origins!
