Loved chatting with Alycia Wood about life and how to navigate the current cultural chaos with the truth of God’s Word. Alycia reminded us that we can use just about anything - movies, music, etc. to engage in meaningful conversations about spiritual and eternal things. C.S. Lewis in The Weight of Glory wrote about how “[t]here are no ordinary people. You have never talked to a mere mortal.” This is a great reminder that everyone we meet is an eternal being - and will spend an eternity either with God…or separated from God.
As we near Easter, let’s remember the significance of Jesus coming down to earth to live the perfect life that we couldn’t, die the death that we deserve, and then he rose from the grave to defeat sin and death! With so much hopelessness in the world, 1 Peter 3:15 is a great reminder that we, as followers of Jesus Christ, need to be prepared to defend the HOPE that we have in Christ!
